I was more thinking of "using field upgrades instead of your issued kit" not having any regulations laid out. Interpretation of a xenos weapon's usage in Imperial hands COULD be seen as the taking of trophies, but this becomes largely unbelievable with Eldar weapons when the magazine release requires a psychic link to the weapon, so it'd make more sense for the guardsman to discard and grab a new one.
