have you finished ep 3?
I'm gonna be honest Aaron Paul's performance as Robert is goated
finished em all
and yeha Aaron is great, i can barely tell its him
|| which did you cut from the team Coupe or Sonar||
Coupe
shes barely worth the investment
I plan on playing it, only because itās nostalgia farming my childhood
fair and she is a literal assassin
My brain is forcing me to play
that has an unknown amount of murders under her belt
Its peak.
Telltale still got its greases from what i can tell
Thought he had his own version of a yaoi paddle for a good second ngl
You should contact Alfabrusa and say if you can be in the show so you can personally kill Grimal off yourself
i wish
Sadge
Yaoi paddles is not a thing that should return
If GW releases a lady custodes model range, i will play custodes competitively
And ensure i smile while i table my opponent
Its not a model range but they'll be getting a unisex kit
its for HH but will be compatible with 40k apparently
also i must ask GW kindly to remove Women⢠from my mobile gaming

Bu--but I need my big booty SoB gacha......
If I see one more woman I'm gonna explode into an incandescent rage and kill gw stg
Sons of behemoth? OH SISTERS OF BATTLE
"GUYS WHAT ABOUT THE SISTERS OF SILENCE!"
Says the guy who said nothing about them for years until femtodes were a thing

stupid motherfu-
No one gives a shit about the sos
^^^^^^
i keep trying to tell them lol
they have always been sidepieces to custodians
Iām suprised sisters of silence isnāt agents of the imperium
I like them but they're not really there
And tempest scions
The lore thing where they were put aside and slowly withered away is honestly pretty funny
Tempestus scions rotting away in guard rules
honestly I think they should be put into agents
I'm hoping for some touching up on the neglected Imperial bits but we're gonna get another space marine refresh
I want the Astra Telepathica to be explored further
blank space marines soyjack pointing
Sisters should get something but having femstodes doesn't take anything from them
they're more than just waman
its weird because them and sos were in the big killteam box with the inquisitorial agents
so you got like 6 kits thats in 4 different armies lmao
now onder that box is piss fuck expensive
Adding more women doesnāt take away from other women factions
If only they knew
I just want more sculpts for sos, and I know that's asking too much of gw
we need to get woker
woke, woker, yet woker
Women cannot exist in my warhammer
that and black peopl-
No minorities
Do the salamanders count as black face
Interesting question
Because Sakan is clearly of Asian descent and he's a salamander
You'd like that wouldn't you
New Umamusume support card art goes hard
She's a character who falls short of a more popular racer constantly, and her career is constantly trying to chase a better outcome and get over being such a doomer
But femstodes are basically sisters of battle that werent nulls
They are both human peak genetic females
Sororitas are not "genetic peak"
Custodians are literally gene-forged lol
the only similarity they got is women

Oh my bad
New Kimo take
I thought custodes were just peak humanity
Sisters aren't peak humanity
I didn't know they were forged
Custodes (regardless of gender) are
a custodes is basically genetically speaking just human+
A normal human in peak physical and mental acuity means practically nothing compared to literally being born/made different
read the lexi!!!!!!
A little sad but what can you do
Makes sense
But they are forged at a further age right?
Like they aren't teens like the space marines
They're basically humans where they take the baby and genetically tailor the human biology to their absolute limits
Ok the more I read into the imperium production the more I question how didn't people see big E was not perfect
And potentially a chaos god
Like the signs are all there
The oldest baby to be turned into a custodian was Ra endemiyon and he was like 3
Yeah how else would they be immune to chaos
cooking up the most diabolical genetical alterations
I bet there are Psychically active Custodes, but they're kept under outmost secrecy š
What are you smoking
I meant more in a sense of chaos immune elite soldiers
O
Yeah that works
This makes it sound like they're taking blood bags from the Emperor or something
so i guess the rebel agitator's buff is a psycic power, that or he somehow managed to throw himself into the warp and this screamer just came out after him
There was a season 2 in the works.
i recently learned that the paints i own are trash lmao
i have all the old army painter paints
i literally own
all fo these
people will say you are invalid but u are valid lmao
no such thing as a trash paint if it does what u want it to do
the fanatic ones are good tho
i just got in on the kickstarter for the new Mini Colour range
I'm gonna call it
I paid 500⬠to build my army
I will pay the 30⬠citadel paint tax
im still using mostly citadel
some exceptions though like vallejo model air steel which i use all the time
There is a trash hobby paint and itās army painters original fucking speed paints
lol
cause its brilliant
Shit reactivated from contact with other paints
Absurd they tried to sell that shit
not ideal lol
I distrust literally anyone who recommends the first round of speed paints from army painter now
Also let's be honest
reactivating is nice if its something you can control, eg. oil paints
Yeah
You pay 3⬠per citadel paint
lots of citadel paint are genuinely very very good
Unless it's a base you use on the entire thing
I have to say that gw suprised me
The only shit citadel paints are the white ones
Cause their paint black legion guide actually teaches how to do black contrast
The rest are decent to good
the official channel puts out good guides now
sweats
theyve finally sorted out all the stupid nonsense by the looks of things
The original ones, not the current ones
The current ones work fine
yeah i have the original ones lmao
I still hate army painter for the first one tho š
Totally fucking dishonest
Lied to consumers, told influencers to lie as well
damn waht happened?
I'll be honest
They reactivated on contact with other paint
Citadel only scammy product is the primer
this is hte first time i heard of this
But that's cause prime paints can't have different formulas
oh?
chaos black is a good primer
So buying a cheaper primer is the same
if u want like a nice satin finish its actually good
Carbon black primer is the same thing
Like it's literally the same product but cheaper
If you watered down your paints or used a water based acrylic and not gel based
The shit would reactivate
And they tried to sell it as a āfeatureā
????
They did try to sell that as a thing
Btw lol
āOh itās good so you can blend/fix errorsā
Like no it fucking isnāt
Itās colored water, not an acrylic paint or oil paint
True you can legit reprime it and restart
Yeah
But Iād rather shove someone in the jar of iso
Then have the stuff reactivate
I got these and i regret it
Never doing that again.
I should reprimeā¦thats a good idea
Lmao what the fuck
My blood warriors look splotchy
Agreed
But whatever
I miss cross fire
If 11e is really really good then ill start playing 40k, only touch AoS model wise rn
Gsc when you roll a 1 to hit with a blasting charge
LMAO
Iāll straight up just keep it simple
I love blood warriors
Then Iāll love khorne berserkers
WE it is
I think 11e will be better
But I'm biased to CSM
They are also super cool
And CSM will prolly have nice changes
I also play slaves, so my eyes are also on CSM
Ok Angron.
To be honest EC is really easy to get now
Donāt you buy the combat patrol 3 times
There is nothing better than taking 5 bloodthirsters
Having no brain, and throwing them at your opponent
There's that 180⬠box you get that a few noise marines and lucius and Ur done
Fulgrim is amazing
But 130⬠man
I hear fulgrim is poopoo this edition
The whispers lie to me
The issue is people wanna play fulgrim like they play flawless blades
And he wasn't made for that
He is kinda of a support unit
That can be used to destroy vehicles or big units if needed
Lucius is more aggressive
Get lucius
EC are cool to me because of the super dexterity feel they have, all just insanely crazy duelists
Perfection
I'm jealous lucius isn't CSM anymore
I hear heās a monster in a fight
They should have gave us the lucius curse
If a unit kills lucius and he misses a battleshock test he turns to lucius
Yeah itās weird he doesnāt have it, maybe hard to balance? Instead they just made him Jamie lannister
Which isnt the worst
Cause it just end up making the character too strong as you can try to pit him against elites/greater units and regardless of it win or lore you can still end up winning out
Sounds annoying

@DigitalBonesAnimation...
is this made by the space marine animation giy
True
I'm reading about the siege of vraks on wiki and just got to the end of the 19th regiment's last stand. Does anyone know what the spider-like machines are or could be in this part?
Generic cool nurgle daemon engines
GW likes to do this
Ah ok
Same feeling lmfao
tfw no gameplay
Me when someone asks me about my AoS army
you need to get the combat patrol too
army boxes are a scam
the space wolves army box doesnt even get you to 500 points
tbf a lot of combat patrol sets this edition have been scams
Csm was good tho
Scam Workshop
The only thing in that box Ur not gonna use is master of possession
And he will be good in other meta
who decided that?
thank god for that
psychic phase was torture
do you play kill team kimo?
I have one but haven't tried it
I use nemesis claw as an actual Warhammer unit
the night lords?
i dont think i've ever seen that set used in kill team
That's cause their rules are better in actual Warhammer
Happy halloween folks
"Bro is that blue face?"
"No I'm an actual Daemon. I'm a blue horror."
"YOU'RE CALLING US A HORROR?"
idk back when they came out they were great im sure people have used them in kill team i just never saw that
"God humans are so much better than this. They just scream and shoot instead of this shit..."
"Whoa, is that blue face, dude?!"
Wait fuck you already did the bit
I should try it
laughs in GBP
where it's "merely" £105.50 or about £90 with discount
why are you laughing your currency is losing value faster than the us dollar
Sure, but cheaper Warhammer
gonna have to eat chaos space marines in a few years
mhhhhh kharn flakes
yeah haha im not bullish on the value of gbp, im bullish on lower warhammer pricing cause this is where it's made
one small benefit of being on this shitty island
How different are 40k humans in terms of evolution
I'm wondering how much more durable they are
can they deflect a bullt
About the same as the average human today.
Not that different but They can easily get more absurd physical abilities basically
Through brutal training and conditioning
40'000 is not a big time span in terms of biological evolution.
Though, many planets went through selective breeding during the dark age, so some selected groups are stronger.
Catachan is a good example, They are humans but with how brutal their home world is They come out physically built like a tree trunk to the point they are called Baby Ogryns
The brutal planet has made them physically and mentally resilient more than the average human
So they just the average current elite soldier
It's not really exclusive to them
(they can walk while shooting a negav)
With proper brutal training like they do you could do the same
Sisters of Battle do this
I doubt any person can actually survive planets like
Catachan
We can tbh
I mean if I throw you the skull Island would you?
Or the conditions the Imperium probably puts it's people through
Humans survived similar conditions with way less tools
The hive world's are prolly the type of world that most average humans would die at
True.
I do think that humans in the 40k verse are different
Just
Not significantly so
Like I believe that before humans went out their solar system. They all edited themselves to survive harsher conditions
Needing less food, water, etc.
I believe only the adeptus mechanicus can claim to be much different from the current human
Besides prolly the fact they have a better selection of genetics
Yeah. I just feel like 40k baseline humans are just
Slightly different
Somehow
Though maybe I just underestimate the average human
I mean we were scary even in nature
Nature gave us one advantage other predators lacked and no one talks about it
Stamina
Stamina and big brain = good
We weren't just smarter we could stalk our prey for longer than any predator
Though tbf I doubt the stamina part matters against a Tyranid
also in the dark age of tech humanity pretty much mastered gene editing although by now the knowledge has mostly faded away
so its possible the baseline human just is a little different cause of science
Yeah that's what I'm thinking
not counting all the psychic shit too
Honestly theorizing that the Ogryns are from the DAoT as a slave race of some kind but I cannot prove it
i think thats more or less the implication i think?
much like the space dorfs
maybe less slave race and more built for a purpose (but also to basically live as slaves yeah)
I think most abhumans are just mutated in a certain way that happened to be reproducible.
Like Felinds, Ratlings, etc.
But Ogryns seem to be
Kinda purposeful
Especially with BONE existing
i like that about the space dorfs, they're actually still out there doing what they were made for, and they don't know any different and they've never known any different
They can also just be a mutation
Have you seen hive worlds
There's a lot of radiation going around
This can be a Chernobyl type situation
True, but Ogryns seem to be engineered for a purpose. Extremely strong, loyal to severe fault, etc. with even an augment already existing to make them more intelligent.
Compared to like Scalies where they become well...
Scalies. They're definitely a Chernobyl situation
Or Ratlings
Stiltlimbs
Etc.
Ogryns are definitely a remnant from the DAoT
Maybe
Also, Navigators specifically are made as a strain from the DAoT.
But at the time, humanity mainly used computers to navigate the warp
Which kinda makes me wonder if they were like
A last minute type of thing
Especially since incest is popular to retain the Navigator gene specifically. I kinda believe that DAoT humans saw that the warp was growing more chaotic
Made Navigators as a result
Only for the warp to suddenly go to shit outside the expected timescale
Which is why there's comparatively few
They were planning on something happening. But they couldn't possibly predict the shit show that was the Age of Strife
I mean the emperor was gonna have his own space outside the warp
That was the project Magnus ruined
They didn't expect Magnus would ruin it
They expected to put all humanity there away from the warp and starve the chaos gods
And just let the space marines kinda die out
But Horus fcked it up
That was however explicitly the webway
He was making his own webway basically
Magnus just fucked it up
To be honest even if he did it he would still have issues
Also in retrospect, huge portions of the Eldar webway are literally invaded by daemons so...
Idk how he thought it would be cut off
Cause abaddon would prolly rise anyways
Cause hey you wanna just ditch the space marines
Tbh in a pragmatic sense, the SMs would definitely be taken in also
If only because he doesn't want ANYBODY to fuel the gods
That's also why he wanted to commit genocide on Xenos
We should see more Habsburg Jaws in navigators
It's also funny that Navigators afaIk all come from noble families
Who famously did inbreed
I think the emperor also kinda forgot to consider that using psychic powers to stop god's when tzeetch is fed by it was an awful idea
To be honest. This is gonna sound like an endorsement (it isn't I fucking swear).
Incest itself doesn't necessarily cause defects. It just gives an increased chance depending on the parents recessive genes.
If you somehow had perfect genes with zero flaws (which btw will never fucking happen), you would create a child that's perfectly fine.
My best guess is that navigators use gene editing to get rid of as many defects as possible
And augments for the rest
To be fair I think it's funny when we discovered the issue with incest it was discovered by a dude that was married to his cousin
I wouldn't call that necessarily true since, at least in Rogue Trader, depictions of navigators exist where they definitely don't get gene editing
True
I think the inbreeding is just a justification for them not having other psychic abilities
Then again I think the incest only happens in more desperate/less well off families. If that makes sense.
Since Psykers aren't all the same
Arranged marriages are all the rage
Those without the means to gene edit I suppose
But then again Cassia's family was pretty rich
runs through a window
At least decently I think
Average Navigator
True.
Could be that they just don't care as long as it doesn't cause brain damage
Who cares if they have that elongated ass jaw

If Ur a navigator Ur a resource not a person
Tbf Charles II (the face of the Habsburg Jaw) also had extremely fucked up organs
That shortened his lifespan
Also Navigators eventually turn into like a blob
Which ironically makes them better at their job
Y'all ever read king tuts autopsy
Actually considering the warp. What if being more fucked up gives you more boons
He'd make Charles the second look healthy
Legit Psykers are the reason I see why most would fall to chaos
I've also heard that Charles II's artistic depictions were supposed to be kind
How fucking ugly was this guy
I rather be a selfish sorcerer that will live long than a resource everybody hates but has to deal with
Cause of the constant mistreatment?
Yup
Also either way, death will have your soul be eaten and tortured
At least one will give you a chance for that to
NOT
Happen
Psykers are just a lose lose no matter what
Starting to wonder if humans developing psychic abilities are just the Chaos Gods fucking with them
Like increased warp exposure does increase the amount of psykers
I mean def tzeentch
Honestly what if blanks are actually just
A natural mutation to prevent that.
But the side effect causes it to be ultimately disadvantagous
Natural nah
Ain't gonna live long enough to pass your genes if everybody immediately wants to beat you
I think blanks are a product of the dark age of tech and were created as a counter measure against the warpby the gene witches of luna
It does not make sense for humans to be the only ones who naturally can be born blanks
Tbf I believe for many but like the most strong blanks, it's just a sense of uneasiness
Or slight dislike
It's also a stronger feeling for psykers experiencing blanks
True, although maybe that's what is special about humans. The ability to become blank in the first place
Being born a blank just makes everyone immediately see you as a reddit mod
I mean it kinda does make sense because they're all different species of living beings and only one posessing a unique trait is very believable
I mean then why do most races have psykers
The Eldar are specifically made by the old ones
We have no idea what the deal with Tyranids are
Orks are made by the old ones
Because that part could just simply be universal I guess. Blanks could be manmade or whatever but it would make sense for just humans to have a specific gene
Having gene editing doesn't mean that everyone got it or it was applied to everyone. The bulk of humanity stays very similar to the current day human.
Then again Xeno Psykers do exist
idek how weird boyz work tbh
Blanks lowkey need more books
Then again I think most of them are chaos influenced
There's the Bequin books but you have to read the Eisenhorn and Ravenor omnibuses to be caught up enough to read that
At least in the Eisenhorn omnibus you get a lot of screen time with the blank (Bequin)
So it could be that Psykers develop due to exposure from the warp.
Blanks could be an adaptation as a result. After all, daemons murdering you and eating your soul is disadvantageous.
Psyker's essentially act as a beacon for that as a result.
It could be that Blanks are a natural adaptation while Psykers are specifically made by influence from the Chaos gods
That the four always had a hand in every race's development
Warp and chaos are not the same thing though.
True
Remember that Psykers only started popping up for humanity near Slaanesh's awakening in terms of time frame
True
Psykers existed way back when but most of them died slowing down the propagation of there genes
Right, it depends on whether the Shaman origin is true.
Female shaman among them when?
Where do you think the Emperor's glorious hair came from?
We've never been told anything different or anything that contradicts it so as far as I'm concerned it's still the backstory
True.
I also imagine that the shaman ritual only makes a perpetual
Not necessarily an emperor tier being. Just a regular perpetual
And that the Emperor got his power through the pact + experience
Big e wasn't much stronger than other perpetuals until moloch I'm pretty sure
Probably a perpetual+
I imagine Big E's creation was basically a storm of perfect circumstances.
The Chaos Gods weren't paying attention to humanity much, they had a bunch of psykers ritualistically sacrifice themselves, etc
It def would not work today
I can imagine if anybody tried something like this again, the Psyker souls would just get yoinked and eaten like a snack
The four would shut that shit down or hijack it
Do psykers get more powerful as they age, or did the Emp just get some psychic enhancing technology at some point?
Or at least perpetuals
EMP made a deal with the chaos gods
Psykers do get more powerful through experience.
But he also made a deal and even before that, he's literally like 10+ Psykers in one body
He definitely had more potential in the first place
And an infinite amount of time to learn
Although he should've spent his time learning how to be a dad firstly
I just say that because if he was strong enough to subconsciously uphold the entire webway on death's door perpetually, why wasn't he using similar strength until he created the webway
Chaos God deal
All clones are nules
So I think Nules were engineered
Power, Primarchs, the potential to fight back
...or the potential to make things so much worse
After all, what's the point of a game without an adversary?
Oh I meant what did the gods get in return
But it sounds like the latter part is the answer
I mean when you understand what chaos gods are
Big E sounds more like a chaos god that got lucky to incarnate in the materium
He ereased competition by removing religion
He wanted to isolate humanity in his realm
And loyalist souls are consumed
The Chaos God of Contrarianism
He definitely is, but he also still had just a small bit of humanity left to
want humanity to prosper
"I hate religion I hate other races I hate aliens" etc.
Instead of being like the other gods where they just flip through whichever race is the most interesting
That's just Malice
Also let's be honest chaos undivided are the guys that fall more into what the emperor wanted
But
I know what he is
For multiple reasons
First of all they are atheists in the sense of not seeing gods as superior
His sons were assholes or turned into assholes
They believe in their distorted view of humanity
And they are the most diverse cast
I mean black legion accepts loyalists
ironic
maybe that's why the chaos gods want him as the dark king
ironically enough
he is exactly what they want
I believe he is
He is a good adversary
That they know they can contain
Cause let's be honest if he does anscend the primarchs will beat him
Warhammer must go on
fuck no

honestly, I think the most interesting idea is for him to basically explode into shards
like the Emperor is already so inconsistent writing wise
might as well make him multiple people
could even have a "good" shard for those who really want to suck his di-
The star child already exists
yeah
although I would like more variation
after all, canonically there are multiple interpretations of the emperor
even in gender
and looks
the only thing that's consistent is that he is the master of the imperium
i can imagine a bunch of mini empires fighting each other also
with their own shard and their own interpretation
so to speak
religious schism!

it would be a good watsonian explanation
also just
cool in general
homebrew potential off the charts
i mean you could already make your own unique systems/planets
but now you can make your own mini imperium
and it can be even more racist!
Ok that's too far
.... what did i come back to?
im watching Hellraiser
ice
cause its motherfuckin halloween
and also im gonna start building my EC models this weekend
kickass
the most normal convo weve had all week
Nothing beats the late nights political discussions
oh great blood lines 2 is updating for the 4th time this week
Not true
My country is a successful multicultural country
The trick is to apply the law as it is written regardless of gender or race
And make the support system economical class based
You see
You're thinking of a potentially late stage capitalistic hellhole
That's no fun
murder is more fun
unless if it's cyberpunk style of capitalistic hellhole
then there's plenty of murder
trying to remmeber every kit wiht a cloak every for what kit would make a good bio dagger sanctus kitbash
someone in a flowing dagger who looks liek they are fsat
might jsut buy some esher tbh
klike a randoms ingle
The death cult assassin from sanctifier kit?
So, does the MorningStar just have a fuck load of holy relics sitting around for everyone to carry 3 and some zealots to use them to call forth an act of the Emperor?
Do they just have a warehouse crate full of them?
I believe these are holy and bring forth such power due to zealot's faith.
Not because they ARE holy.
They might not be actual faith embued relics
And could just be tech
lol
That too
Thereās stuff like rosariuses
Which make it look like youāre being protected by the god emperor
They rare tho, no?
Ah, yes.
But yes Rosariuses are extremely rare
Quite the opposite
We failed at capitalism
Thats why our economy scks
Anyways we are moving to a sci fi horror literally right now
Can't wait to live in cyberpunk
(I'm going amish when it happens)
so the BL really out here spawning conspiracy theories with the single word "Valgaast" huh
a what now
I hate to break it to you but warhammer horror books are usually written by like outside writers I believe
I could be wrong
Hmm
yeah its mentioned in like 20 something books it seems
ether as a major part of the plot or just a one off line
Yea apparently a bunch of different 40k books have mentioned Valgaast
like i said. most likely just an inside joke aimed at the community
and AoS apparently has the same with Mhurghast
the common root of "gast" is just made to inspire discussion and speculation
which is imo just more proof its just a little tease to poke fun at the theory crafters of the community
Seems like Mhurghast is involved in the Gothghul Hollow novel
I would argue that
There is a failure state but we haven't quite reached it yet
Failure state is uh
Stalin type shit
and by Stalin type shit I mean millions upon millions of people starving to death
We haven't quite reached that point yet
yet
Is your definition of failed meaning "irrecoverable"?
A system is only as good as it's people, leaders, etc.
That's exactly why no system works
Communism, at it's theoretical best state, would be great.
Problem is that it's impossible to ever reach that
Basically.
Also you can have capitalism without it being the end game one
We still have room to save it. But it's getting harder
and harder
and harder
But hope is not completely lost
In its current state it's doing irrecoverable damage to the planet if that contributes to the conversation
So has
every other system tbh
technically wouldn't consider that. Because let's be fair here, we didn't really consider it would be permanent until the 1900s.
It is also extremely, extremely difficult if at all possible without an extreme change to remove corruption, both in office and in the market
Yes but actually no
We just need to wait till it gets to the extreme point
Then we have another revolution
Human history is doomed to repeat itself
History keeps repeating because evil bastards keep on not being punished enough
There is nothing as permanent as a patchwork solution
Nazis got operation paperclip and barely any real prosecution
Not really
Confederates were allowed to scamper off and propagate and spread their ridiculous beliefs to their children and those childrens' children
It's cause we tend to have a generation that ignores old generations knowledge
And restart systems that will be needed to recreate
It's not even the first time it happens
True and also not true.
Nazi's and Confederates. Yes.
Maoism... somehow still a fucking thing.
Like they literally tried to remove every trace but people somehow still thinks it's a good idea
Referencing the baby boomers here (at least in America's situation)?
Sometimes evil bastards actually get punished enough.
It's just that a lot of people ARE idiots and think.
"Nah they just didn't do it right."
Actually the millennials
Look at: every tankie ever
The boomers still kinda studied off the base they had
A lot of boomers are hippies
Millennials introduced anti definition issues
In fact a lot of shit like neo pronouns
originated from boomers
As much as we love to define generations.
We simply cannot define everybody born in that time period.
I'm not defining generations
yeah ik
I'm just afraid the boomers got power for too long
And the millennials will take it too late
Yeah that's definitely the case rn
Millenials got shafted economically though
Making zoomers powerless
True about power though
A lot of avenues that boomers had got closed on the way out
I heard stories about people able to afford a FUCKING HOUSE
With a regular job
Oh don't worry, Millenials turn out to be just as bad as Boomers once they get into power.
Boomers don't get it
and it didn't take 30+ years!
They lived in the historically best economy ever
the boomers are the "pull the ladder up behind us" generation
Yes, but in a different way.
The issue is millennials are gonna be worst than boomers
We learned from the best
Cause they gonna get power after they lost their prime to do it
"B-but inflation is why it costs more" is a super cope by lead-riddled boomers to justify the fact that their lives were absurdly easier than everyone else's
and they convinced themselves of a lie that the success that gave them was something they made all on their own
The other problem is that people who search for power wants it for themselves.
People who are best suited for the role
Will immediately jump off of the nearby window
and run the fuck away
That's not necessarily true
because they just want to take a nap
But yeah social studies prove the best leaders tend to be 30 year olds
Cause they actually worry about future consequences
Plenty of overlap though
Since they don't get the parachute of dying
Generally true but people driven by a desire for positive change will also chase power
Aware, there are exceptions, but generally the term "That's why you should be King, you don't want to."
Is true
well... a good chunk of the time anyways
Congress still has people from the Silent Generation
never 100% unfortunately
and then half way into having that power they lose sight of their goals
because power corrupts
no matter who you are
Losing the plot
Or it turns out that other forces prevent you from doing so
yup
Want to make American portions healthier?
Also I find it kinda weird when Americans defend young leaders lack exprience
When the founding fathers were a group of 20 year olds
and you can't make the fucking change
They learned from experiences tbf
George washington in the beginning was
kind of a bad general
He was also a nepo baby
But there is one difference
He was willing to learn from people
In Portugal that argument makes more sense tho
He learned, he gained experience.
"not fit to lead the sergeant's guard" in the words of one of his peers
reminds me how the earliest paper about climate change was back in the 1900s
That's what made him great.
even a century ago peeps are already worried about the industrial consequences..
They didn't had the means we do to propagate knowledge
There is one thing that makes him actually worthy to be looked up to.
He actually tried his damned best.
So the average person wouldn't know about it
But yeah we need to introduce a governmental retirement age
Cause in a democracy Ur leaders are supposed to represent you
Tbf the Founding Fathers aren't great. Far from that. Slave owners.
But they did have brilliance.
And a society that doesn't think about the future generations is doomed to lose itself
the worst part is all the industrial age did was add fuel to an already burning fire, ever since we started farming we have been fucking up the planet
They were great for their time
Tbf on that, I don't even think we were able to actually measure that.
Until around the 1950's?
yup
So we couldn't know
still
I do blame humanity AFTER we found that out
Vasco da game the Portuguese guy that discovered the maritime paths to a lot of places
Was a good manipulator and would do things just cause he can
Oh definitely. Also more separation of powers, and at least a forced variation.
what could we have done? upend all of human civilization to try and fix the problem?
But for the time he lived he did a lot of good
But overall I just think current government is not ready for future issues
And they aren't worried cause they won't be affected
True. We definitely could focus more on renewable energy right now. We could definitely try our best to mitigate.
Unfortunately we love procrastinating.
But admittedly, we actually have made huge progress.
turns out building all of civilization on very bad practices leads to us being unable to fix things when we find out just how bad they are
We successfully prevented us from all dying horribly!
Now we're just gonna suffer at worst
But we'll still be alive!
yippee...
I wanna point out the industrial revolution only happaned the 3rd time it was supposed to happen
The Romans were close when they felt
kinda, they were still missing huge chunks
steel for starters
I mean they had like basic steel I thought or was that still firmly bronze
And the Egyptians knew methods of arquiteture we still yet to learn
Or greek fire
All cause some idiot burned a library
They did, but it wasn't good enough, crucible steel was invented around 9th century AD
I'm just saying humans tend to reset progress
Several idiots. It was a bunch of mercenaries
the industrial revolution could have happened in the damn late bronze age had they figured out how to use the ball of wind in a productive manner
the whar
All cause we don't wanna listen to older generations
Cause obviously our gen has to be better than previous
Spoilers we are not
tbf that's because half the time, it isn't wise knowledge, instead it's "black people should be eliminated"
We have more base knowledge but we have the same intelligence
the dude that discovered Numatics made a device that was basically a centripetal engine but they never saw it as anything more than a novelty
Not true
In my country black and white were both core to us
or it was someone alive around his time
Ok that's a bit wrong usually throughout history it's been he believes in God a slightly different way, skewer him
Cause in the mainland it was earlier
Rasicms later in history when people actually started to travel to different lands
Also a bit of historical education most slaves bought slaves when they were freed
I'm just saying it wasn't about race
Dolla Dolla bills
People forget slavery existed before the USA and certaintly didn't end when the US absolished it
this thing?
yup
Dubai reference
Oh if you wanna go to all human history
.... who?
Every one was a slave at some point
thinks that the USA made and ended slavery lmao
Apparently it couldn't generate enough power to actually do anything of use
aside from modern slavery there is a shitload of countries that use old fashioned slavery
with as much steam pressure as a tea kettle
yeah but the principle was there
I forget sometimes people aren't as batshit crazy/stupid as those in oregon
ah i forgot htat too
save me
my apologize joseph
I'm glad I live In Portugal
So our history classes go as far as 1400
About our own existance
Oregon cant be worse than North Carolina
it is lmao
half the dumbasses here think the confederacy was the best thing in history
Also we are the country that first had that shady market
So we have to study that we didn't directly enslaved the first ones
We just bought them from tribes that already enslaved
Which is as bad as it
pretty sure oregan was one of the last states to commit literal genocide on the indigenous people there
But it changes the perspective
I mean ours do too
Colombus was 1400s
Colombus is Portuguese
and North Carolina didnt end euginics programs till the 1960s so
that is true
we stat afew hundred or thousand years earlier for the ice bridge theory
Yes he is xD but he got his money from spain
California is chill around bigger cities (except in the literal fires)
Northern California might as well be like the rest of the USA
True
is ice bridge theory still taught?
If power makes you lose your discipline, you never had it in the first place
The only reason why we're labeled as a leftist hellhole is because we added a couple more hoops to get a gun
Did you know philipeans were supposed to be Portuguese
and also the expensive gas prices.
That is a genuine problem.
Granted, you have a point but it's definitely not insurmountable
But the Spanish said they would help the Portuguese with it
And y'all know how it went
Dumbasses planting eucalyptus
Well that and cali is run by terrible politicians
where indigenous people from asia travelled across an icebridge from russia to alaska and inhabitited the americas
...like
the
rest of the usa?
Texas
Florida
whcih is like the best theory back in 2015s
I just hate most politicians
God dammit Australia
Yes
Welp you gotta start voting for the smaller parties
If you work for the government you probably suck
I'm gonna call it USA main issue is you neglect the small parties
But cali is unlucky enough to be one of the states with some of the worst politicians in the country running it
My party gets like 3 percent of votes
yeah the people who worked for food aid suck
And most of the time they are exactly what you want
In my country we have a 3 way power now
Damn feds
As in one won but the opposite holds the actual majority
Aka they have to convince the opposition to pass any laws
For context the opposition is two different parties
That are opposite to eachother too
The media is extremely controlled and makes a big impact on the average person's perception
Honestly, more like mid politicians, they just exist.
I would say states like Florida has it worse.
Much much worse.
Wanna be called something else in school?
You can't
Fuck you.
The most recent election was certainly rigged to at least some degree, but even if it wasn't, the primary blue pick was both seemingly better and much more influential than green party or whatever else
We need to go back to the times we're voting was about voting for campaigns not influence
Voting for other parties, unfortunately might as well be equivalent to throwing away your vote.
This is because the average American only knows two parties.
And we cannot even like
Vote separately on issues
We need to force people to read the campaigns to be able to vote
Vote vermin supreme as president
Don't worry Sah, we're getting Ganger reveal November 11th.
Agreeable
It would change so many votes
But then the unbiased description of campaigns that includes fact checks would just get called woke and controlled by da dems
You either get
The most boring, milquetoast, person that will change zero issues and make things the exact same because companies keep lobbying against actual change or they just want the paycheck
Or somebody that wants to burn down every forest
Remove rights of every minorities
etc.
What wonderful choices.
What's even better is you don't know who vermin supreme is do you
Tbf the last election was promising actual relief and positive change at least
Otherwise true
The old man who isn't cheeto flavored should have done better
Nope
I didn't even know he existed.
Why the fuck is he wearing a boot
LOL
"using zombies for renewable energy"
10/10
zombie perpetual machine
my favorite
I legit thought about voting for him because it'd be better than anybody else
wasnt this a dead rising plot point
oh were talking about the boot guy
I think it's funny that this statement actually sounds relevant to 40k lore chat
Yeah
Bros actually determined
I think he wasn't in the last one though
Because he started getting old old
We have a fucking pirate party
Either that or he's not doing the next one
huh
he did 2024
so likely the next one
I did
I actually hoped that trump wouldn't wi
fuck me ig
