re: kriegers I feel like someone more skilled than Steve Lyons could make them genuinely interesting. I want to see what being just a unit designation of numbers and letters does to someone, what living entirely among other faceless people constantly wearing gasmasks so everyone looks the same does. Lyons briefly over a few lines touches on it in the Siege of Vraks novel when Tyborc is pushed to embrace an identity and other Kriegsmen officers say it's preposterous to be an individual before we're back to droll not much happening

His best story is the short story Left for Dead when a kriegsman is left to die and tries to integrate back into civilian society in rebuilding a hive I think it was
