anyone exciterd for space marine reveals tomorrow
We are getting another reveal? lmao
New chaos space marines when
When peterabo
Never
Nah all primarchs got back
Chaos primarchs that arent god-alligne dare not getting models for a long time or anytime soon
But he will be when released
Chaos Mechanicum doesn't have ties to Perturabo
Vashtor? Not linked to either of, iirc
We got the chaos realm of machines
Why wouldn't vashtor be it's god
And peterabo his prince
There's enought souls that belief in machines
Forget Vashtorr, we need Sota-Nul
Well, the Mechanicum isn't subservient to Vashtor (Vashtor is trying to subvert them though)
And no, Perturabo isn't a Daemon Prince of Vashtor
Yet
Your understanding of the lore is quite alien
I mean being a true deamon of chaos undivided wouldn't make sense permanently
đ
That's why he had to earn it when everyone else just got given their special sauce
He is not a Deamon of Chaos undivided...
I'm talking peterabo
Daemon Prince I don't know about
Ok so Daemon Prince yes
But Undivided, not Vashtor
Not Machine Chaos
Perturabo is a undivided daemon prince yea
Perturabo would fall for the machine god quite easily
Like literally look at the man
Don't think we've ever had cases of Daemon Prince moving from one "faith" to another
He is half machine
Also chaos undivided when it comes to deamons tends to be a temporary state
I love the little gong slave they have
Why wouldn't that apply to deamon princes
Abbadon makes sense to be undivided since he is pretty much his own god
You dont see a dwarf with a sword often
Not power wise but ideology
But peterabo is a logic above anything man
He would easily fall for the chaos machine side
Ironically both 40K and AoS have dwarfs with swords
Since they align in ideology
Whfb was just hammers and axes
Ahhh true true
Also this isn't coming from an alien view this is theory based of the current
Since the current is incomplete
Space marines are well defined
Chaos marines arent
Fantasy has at least one Dwarven sword
Chaos is very well defined
Yeah but you didnât see it on generic infantry no?
Na chaos has no lore
Chaos undivided doesnt have a single ideology
Iâm going to make you eat the chaos daemons codex smh
Yeah, because Kruber has it
We have abbadons, bilism, cypher self centerism
LOL
Tell me when they write one
Space marines are easy to define their different cultures and ideology
I think I might just put Kimo in the ignore list...
The blue enchanted brettsword skin says it's made by a dwarf for some reason or another
Might be better for my mind
Chaos undivided they can all work toghter under the same leader and have totally different ideas
The Grudgebringer is also a Dwarf made sword that is made for Dwarven use
Also going from undivided to mono god isn't uncommon in lore
Mostly by faithful of the Dwarf god of Death
Oh sick we're at 2 now
Not for deamons, not even for black legionaires
Iâm not huge on dwarf lore in whfb
All the swords that the Elector Counts uses are also Dwarven made
(but not to be used by Dwarfs)
maybe I should replay it
Doesn't she say shit but the sub titles say prick ?
I think so lmao
I've been sorely tempted because of this meme, for some reason
LMFAO
They probably had their line cut by the gun draw
Oh and I have a pick of a Dwarf sword miniature
Ironically while i am going for the Nomad ending (since its the best one fight me) I dont really wanna romance Panam even tho shes the goat, i just cant be assed
LOL
Vodoo boys deserve it anyways
LMAO
Apocalyptic cult
Jinx
Literally just
"AI is gonna win we need to ruin the blackwall and take their side"
fucking nutjobs
I should play 2077 again, romance Judy
Alt frying those 5 runners was so funny
Couple of swords, and a Flaming Rune Sword
neat
thats cool
Honestly the voodoo boys deserve every unfortunate thing that happens to them as a Gang
lol
Most of the gangs in 2077 do
except like the Mox ig
Anyway guys i gotta get back to it Idris Elba is gonna kill someone i think
LOL

Elba truly is good looking man
Ah Yes my favorite execution method Make them realize who I am and then pull out the blicky
shame the modern voodoo boys didn't exist in RED lol
They were still a bunch of kids/teens being racist psychopaths
in 2077 they're just racist psycopaths but actually Hatian instead of white people
do they have 2 brains?
No, they just don't need the one they have
lmao
he drops a unique pistol btw
lot of ppl myself included miss it for some reason
I'd never kill Elba
not elba other guy
its the only unique pistol that uses that bulpup tech revolver
also biggest thing about phantom liberty a lot of ppl dont rlly talk about is reeds face is crazy in it story telling on whats usually about to happen or you can tell when hes in deep contemplation by just watching his eyes
Wait Bulpup Revolver
Tbh hes also a jingoistic CIA/American goon
What the fuck
How is it a Revolver
no clue its the thing right under the oval kind of looking stamping that gets changed out on reload
So it is a magazine to revolving then it get shot ?
That's more like a P90 than revolver
p90 mag doesnt revolve
only the bullets
Does the cylinder move ?
That thing can't be fun to hold straight
its got like an offset sort of brace that goes on the forarm on other side
I mostly mean the disk digging into your wrist
The worst part is this is feasible irl since its a tech weapon
I wonder if the next edition will kick off with Deathwatch vs Orks instead of BA.
I do hope they get any introduction combat patrol that isn't space marines Vs tyranids
We should have necrons Vs aeldari
Or chaos Vs ultramarine
Chaos vs Aeldari, so if it isn't a success GW can claim the market didn't want it.
Trueee
that was already a battleforce box tbf, and it sold well
i carried so hard and we only drew đ
Which one?
Because all I can think of is the NL vs Dark Eldar.
that has literally never been a box
Oh. I was thinking of the killteam box. Sorry
Oh
thats not a combat patrol
lmao
Also there was another Eldar vs CSM box for that one
corasirs vs legionaries
Have they ever done a xenos vs xenos battleforce?
battleforce or box in general
very important distinction lol
Either.
pretty sure battleforces are just one army
Termination(GSC vs LoV) and a few others
I just have this ones art on hand
correct, battleboxes which are their own thing can be 1-2 factions

Wasn't that just Brood Brothers vs LoV?
Good point.
there's one more box
that was nids vs CWE
but I can't find it
bcs it was super limited run during Apocalypse Lmao
it was part of Apocalypse War Zone: Valedor
So I have a question about the power swords Like I know their are are but how are we finding so many in warhammer darktide?
We're the inquisition
Fair enough
Unless..
Its likely only for those who've survived a mission or two
Which we are
as for once we're level 30 who gives a shit at that point

Full part of the warband
Probably only survivors are the VOs.
So just count all of em and you have your warband.
for a grand total of 21
What do you mean even I have a sword
The more odd weapons that they have a comically large amount of are force weapons tbh
Mostly because those are even more $$$$
but I suppose they likely only have a few and the quantity in game is an exageration lol
Aside from peoples personal head canons
Ok but I do have another question could the lazguns be equiped with Grenade launchers or underbarrel shotguns? Or is that not a thing?.
there is an underbarrel grenade launcher for some lasgun models
Yes. Because I said so.
The kantreal has a variant with it in Munda
Is lore now
as for shotgun no
as for if the imperium has generally attachable underbarrel grenade launchers
ehhh not as much
but you could def write it in lol
We've seen them before
Also as someone that is new to the tabletop
I quess we haven't found a proper way to get them working
No one introduces no one with kill team
the big thing with under barrel weapons
Combat patrol is discount tabletop
is that bayonets are way more common
Kill team is kill team
I would love to see darktide give us a underbarrel grenade launcher or just a regular grenade launcher for the game
a normal GL is much more likely
imo
its pretty normal usage wise in the guard
its the cheapest "special" weapon
I guess FT needs promission from games workshop to add that in the game
anyways here's an example of a lasgun with an auxillary grenade launcher
used by Elysian squad D-99
Ooh GIMME GIMME GIMME
I need my Vet to have that asap!
also there's the other faction
that uses underbarrel grenade launchers
a lot
the Tau empire loves that shit lol
Hallowette give us the underbarrel pulse grenade launcher probably has one
lol
Oh I know the tau love them
Question, do Guardsman, especially Cadians ONLY use Lasguns or do they have other stuff as well?
I only see Cadians use Lasguns
and Kasrkin using Plasma guns
So how guardsmen squads are setup is that in a group of 5-20
you have 19 riflemen + a sgt
however the riflemen can be arranged into 2 "special weapon troopers" + 2 can use a heavy weapon
Recent cadian stuff has them with autoguns
but generally lasguns are whats carried around by a squad
because they're cheap, in high quantity, and common
Special weapons are: meltas, flamers, plasma guns, grenade launchers
heavy weapons are: Missile launchers, heavy bolter, heavy stubber, auto cannon, heavy flamer
Can a LazGun easily rip through human and xeno's flesh like hot butter?
How could a Guardsman have a heavy bolter or a stubber?
its squad served
Ah
and usually mounted
The guardsman would need to use a two man group like modern soldiers
Would anyone get a bolt pistol specifically though? I always thought sgts or something would get that.
Human yes, most xenos yes, Orks and Nid flesh fuck no lol
Yes
Sgts use them
Sgts use pistols and a melee
alongside a rifle(sometimes)
Oh that's perfect for me then!
Gotcha thank you
lasguns are effective at dealing with armor shittier then flak
I was asking because I mainly play with Bpistol and a knife in game, so I was wondering if that's even something Guardsman did
unfortunately for the guardsmen
there's a lot of armor thats better then flak armor

no problem
Yeah if you were curious, was asking because I am getting art of my fursona fighting with said things in my Vet's armor, and before I would post it anywhere wanted to know if I would get the funny "haha tourist knows nothing about WH, see they would actaully use x and y!"
(tbh I'd probably be classified as a xeno so)
Yeah people saying you cannot use a bolt weapon of any kind are usually grognards. As long as you explain how you got it in a fitting sense its not really an issue.
That's good to hear!
I only heard bad things about WH's community so yk, kinda shy to share anything I get made for it outside of this server, this server's pretty chill.
It's because there are only bad things about WH's community
in the defence of the greater warhammer community I just saw people complaining about female custodes a moment ago in a different server
/j
god, I hate women
anyway back to playing limp biscuit with all my MAN custodes
gods #1 mistake no doubt those jezebels have ruined culture for ALL men FOREVER
as an aside but on the note of ruining things forever for everyone the garou are really funny in WoD
My best friend and his boyfriend said that it was stupid it was retconned or something.
Idk much about it
Custodians are Emperor's bodyguards? Right?
Crème de la crème of his genetic engineering, his bodyguards and companions
Noticeably nothing to do with having to be male curiously enough
primarchs aside, for the genetic thing
It's almost as if the lore was designed in a time where women weren't commonly accepted in hobby spaces....makes you think....and now they realize its a net positive to include women!
I can recall one singular line that firstborns sons were taken and I'm not entirely sure about that one. Other than that I can recall nothing about it being limited to any gender
I believe only spess muhreens are explicitly male
Due to the same archaic bullshit
They aren't canon
Well, they are now
Google free
Google on device you use to type comment
Iirc they said something like "Yeah but they were only MEN before, but now they randomly said THERE WERE ALWAYS WOMEN" and I agreed with them in the senses that it's stupid they said "there were always women there" and not just "he made women this time" or something.
Use Google
But I agreed mostly to stop the argument
I don't really give too much of a shit myself
I think it could've been implemented a bit better but what is in 40k
I stand by what I say
Is this sarcasm or are you serious
Dumb sarcasm
Death.
Very very dumb
Well the way I view it is the universe of warhammer is so rich and expansive that any "exception" could simply be another thing that was overlooked or not a common topic or whatever. Like the Tau fucking appearing. There's lore backing it up but generally people just kinda discovered them
Wanted to get a stupid reaction
If I was a smarter person or more knowledgable about 40k I'd mention that
but both know I am a super noob to 40k
so they'd not even listen to me
they actually read books and shit
Do I look like a reader to you?
Like one day a female custodes appearing doesn't mean they just started existing now, it means they have been and now they're getting a spotlight. It didnt bother me too much
If you think about it. There are female space marines. They just don't know that yet
Yea like when GW added Tau, they had always existed in the setting, when the Votann got added they had always existed in the setting. It happens all the time.

I am never drinking strawberry inferno Liquid death one was enough for me
thats exactly my thought process
Too much of a kick
I'll use that argument if they whine about it again though
Basically speaking as a person whos been in this fandom for a decade; its largely okay but the vocal parts of it tend to be filled with nazis which fit what I call the Holy Chudrinity:
- Sexist
- Homophobic
- Racist
The warhammer community can be really great but id suggest just finding a space where you feel welcome in some cases, its absolutely sometimes filled to the brim with idiots that get upset for the dumbest shit, this week its some marine heads looking like chicks (they are asian) and a few weeks ago it was being uspet that that new space wolf minis had some painted with dark skin lol
Being a female 40k fan was probably some of the most dreadful parts of my entire life lol
Oh yeah. Im here to say Orks feel very Rayman lmfao
People forget that in fictional settings, things don't exist until the author decides they do and then they always existed.
Heh... you don't even know anything about da lore.. FEMALE
Yeah it makes me somewhat ashamed of accepting that I actually like 40k
I thought there was already an outrage about a space wolf head having dreadlocs
I always stayed away from it because of said community until I played Darktide
Dont be ashamed, just dont be a nazi, its very easy believe me
then I realised I really like it
There was
Whenever somebody asks me about my hobby im as vague as humanly possible until I realize they are also cursed with knowledge of warhammer
I'm reading krieg and I'm imagining this stompa titan thingy looking like a fuck load of orks swinging their arms and fales around
There's no need to get upset over plastic and people that don't actually exist just chill
Every lore or miniature drop of any kind of new content's "outrage" by that part of the fandom can be summed up as either sexism or racism, its very goofy lol
^
its just toys
I have no shame so if someone who isn't my future coworker asks me what my hobby is I straight up would just tell them "I'm a furry"
how tf are they mad again if they already know black space wolves are a thing
and I'd say that before I say I like warhammer
because I never spent money on minis
So yk
40k is unsubtly Anti War by showing the raw uncensored realities of it. There is nothing to be ashamed of
Does it
aka having money
Not good paint and enjoy life
Just some people don't know how to read...
I spend a lot of money on furry art mate
Do you wanna be homeless by spending money on minis and paints
that's arguably worse
Yes
Idk man
I already am by spending money on furry art
kekw
i got many furry friends who are loaded lol
I've spent so much money on Warhammer
Warhammer mini addiction is worse
The name of the game be budget boxes
Maybe furries are the wealthy elite
Issue is I am 19, finished high school, jobless
Furries are suspiciously rich, prime target of conspiracy theories
you actually get huge bang for your buck with budget boxes
Normal
gonna get into uni next year tho
I'd probably be able to afford a house if I didn't collect Warhammer
Depends, most just got good paying jobs because fursuits and other shit require a bit of investment. Pilots, surgeons, dentists, etc
I just want a job and to start working towards living alone
I had a best buddy who wanted to collect minis
I was gonna help him find some because he is into WH more than I am
then he ghosted me so
Yeah they tend to be in a lot of sectors and trades.
I guess we're not friends anymore, rip my only Irl friend who remained
It was worth it trust
I don't have space in my room for it all
tell me about it
If I succeed in uni and become an accomplished software engineer I'll let ya know lol
I'll be another stereotype
Well actually female Spacemarines where a thing in the first books published until they made the decision to stop producing the models because they didn't sale that good and then this 'Spacemarines must be male' thing started.
Really?
yea they used to exist
it was a lot more experimental
i have 4 totes of unpainted minis a glass display cabinet with half painted minis and an entire seperate box of more unpainted miniatures
i need to be shot
they werent entirely canon
just miniature attempts to sell to idiot kids
unlike today where you sell to idiot kids and adults

Yeah in the first books ever, there is an interview out with the first authors who confirm this. They also confirm that some homosexual-flavours where added to the imperial fists if i recall correctly just out of fun
your pile of shame is fucking crazy lol
ok but heres the difference right heres my justification
I'm interested.
i actually play the game so i just like their rules and i collect to play
Well in the interview he gave he said he added them because he wanted to troll another author
Aged interestingly
Free my man Watson he did nothing wrong
I'm interested
If I did this I'd have like 9 armies by now
Chad behavior.
like i have numberous killteams bc their rules are fun
and be broke
is there any sense in running a modern SF team as a kill team in 40k
i wish i could actually do that
KT experts help this guy out
AoS has some fun ass rules
The old authors were great, 40k was quite diverse that time. Its funny how people in the 70s and 80s where more open to some things than some people today
like, they have "autoguns" instead of Sig MCX or hk416
Watson was the poop vault wasn't he? I changed my mind keep him in jail
If I could buy any minis, I would probably buy a set of Cadian Guardsmen and Kasrkin boys.
Because I played SM2 and now play Darktide and love the Cadians.
And just leave them somewhere
special forces/quick reaction forces
to this
when I get a house have them on display or some shit
Lol based hatemonger
killteam is designed around a certain scale so as long as they match that anything works
Yeah run pathfinders, phobos squad(marines), or Kasrkin
Now it's a party
Also Stealth suits maybe
About karkin time
assuming you want something resembling modern doctrine
and not I BASH YOUR SKULL IN WITH A MACE
if you're okay with bashing someones skull in with a mace
beastmen sort of have that Spec ops vibe LOL
same with Kommandos
kasrkin would probably be the easiest if you have unique gun sculpts
I'm tempted to get models just to collect a few neat ones but I'd be entirely irresponsible and waste too much money
I mean I have spectre minis with caps and modern assault rifles, but I'd try to run a 40k rpg where the guys are scouts with autoguns. difficult to explain
its a little annoying when the models are very similar but they all are supposed to have different weapons
I mean al those "this and that is canon and this and that is lore" discussion is useless in my opinion anways because since there are a dozen authors writing this universe each book is as useful for canon as some sort of eye-witness-statement to something that happened. (Just my 2 cents)
your goal is to run them as a specific killteam correct? that is resembling modern spec ops
Contradictory truths are funny so it's a-ok don't worry
Whats another guard regiment book to read
i mean usually books have different like power scalings but i dont think the books really invalidate themselves?
Tbh theres very much a set canon. People simply get upset when "new thing" happens because "old thing" was better even though they are constantly asking for new stuff.
Also this yeah, they very much rarely do.
15 hours
its why 40k is really good with its new additions/retcons
trying to fit the look with my space marine minis in an tabletop RPG
paint them with cadian colors possibly
As if groups like this exist in lore? the answer is yes
I'm not quite sure about your question still
like is this meant to play the tabletop killteam game
Also you should check out Battlesector. Pretty nice representation of the tabletop and you can get the astra militarum as a dlc faction
I love battlesector
nah not officially
all their units are basically scanned miniatures
How does tabletop WH even work
yes
you have rules, you build army within existing points cost, roll dice
play around mission paramaters and objectives
whoever has highest points wins
You pit toys against each other, read rules, do actions and roll dice
A lot
mmmm plastic
So it's like DnD mixed with Starcraft?
I am a guard collector irl and the battlesector playstyle is not too dissimilar
I am a 5e loser
40k has more similarities to 4e then other dnd editions
Darktide has autoguns and stuff so I figured a modern assault rifle looks like those, why not use the minis I have
In the genrell perception of the universe yes. Like all things that are somewhat common knowledge you will find similarities in some sort. But in smaller things they do sometimes. Like in terms of perspective of imperial factions, what they do, how they do it and so on.
since 4e is based more on wargames
it'll work, you could say they're human forces, like a regiment/pdf forces ect.
Tbh thats also lore accurate. This is a faction that spans the entire galaxy, they arent monolith in motivation or action.
I'm tempted to call them a special special force
Chud who misinforms vs Dude who sells steroids and misinforms

LMAO WHAT
I'm all in on Majorkill
What you didn't know Majorkill sells steroids lol
Yes that what i mean, the most accurate lore you have is that nothing is 100% certain
Pontius is a chud
Autoguns in tabletop 40k similar stats to lasgun right?
yeah
They just shoot more usually
Autoguns in older editions had an extra shot but worse AP
while lasguns had a less shot but better AP
rn and from like 4e onwards they're identical
LOL
sounds like this will work
Is Majorkill a chud? I know my best friend loved putting him on stream to show me WH lore
Nah
He seemed alright to me
^
LOL
okay good!
Hes just a dudebro
yeah
ah
otherwise hes whatever
I feel like 95% of lore creators or whatever are chuds and all the painters are sweethearts
I mean selling steroids doesn't seem that bad, right?
can I link pics to this channel?
It's illegal in a lot of places
its illegal in a lot of places but its legal where he lives
eons of battle is the least black templar player to ever exist
besides the hyiene
hygiene
Ah another ork battle. Looks good
eob is a good lad
i know for sure eons of battle has some stank
ciaphis cain is funny
15 hours is happy and fun
Midwinter minis
Assassinorum Kingmaker
I mean, I guess I can't blame him for wanting to make some money helping gymbros, or something
17 year old soldier
Infinite and the Divine too
Idk how steroids really work
they're drugs
they give you muscles and fuck up your body longterm
its very bad
Maybe. How about something non 40k
Gotrek and Felix
Okay good I didn't fall into the stereoids rabbit hole
Think of like superpowers but they arent superpowers and you fucking die of rare untreatable diseases shortly after
Steroids*
yeah do not take roids
tbh
that shit is bad
theres not a rabbithole to fall into
Unless you're taking roids for something medical
The Horus Heresy
I go to the gym because I want to be more muscular, stopped for 8 months due to depression and plan to return
so like
but don't take roids to get gains

there's a universe where I took roids
who's that one guy who's like early 20s and looks like he's 50 from steroid abuse it's wild
that shit fucks you up
Good to know!
I should slap you with a fish Dilara.
steroid is can also be kind of a buzzword because it can mean a lot of different things
I've seen someone in Darktide today with the name "HorusDepressy" - guess that's not some sort of happy book
like my inhaler is technically a steroid
"very bad" and "fucks up your body" only sound like downsides if you're a baby backed milk drinker
LOL
Ainât a universe other than this one pal, nothing to worry about
when you think about it, exercising fucks up your body and then it's better afterward
22
If you think about it
so like same thing
me smashing your balls fucks up your body
but then you get better
very based
Oh yeah those are good
steroids makes your balls smaller
imo they could be cadian shock troops / ghost detachment in the call of duty sense
The bubblegum I was chewing after 20 minutes
with autoguns for whatever reason
autoguns aren't too bad, cadian SGTS tend to use them
it would just take a while
I donât believe you
i believe me
I suck at painting still tho
i think that matters more
the space marine in the background was supposed to be a WW2 super soldier
As long as you are patient and feel like you put our your best effort you can't suck
I suppose
Do orks understand what the Imperium is other than fun dudes to fight
These guys are really cool
Probably as many answers to that question as there are orks
I think so, I've heard about them mocking the emperor before
Orks do slavery amongst themselves and to captives don't they
Yeah
With all the glazing the Imperium gets
I like them
The orks feel like a reality check
I'm sure they're curious why the Imperium's slaves get paid at all
Orks are pretty cool, to be fair.
how many wounds do human characters get in kill team/40k?
I thought they were paid in not being executed/fed the very nutritional minimum
There are about ten forms of slavery and a good amount of them get paid a little
Depends on the planet if they get paid or not
Does the Guard count at all
"If deyz is slaves anyway, why iz you payin em"
Probably
I suppose the toughness and wounds are based on how cool the model is
which I fully support
40k normal infantry
1 wound
Killteam
8-9 wounds
I think the guard should definitely count as slaves lmao
they get paid
can I drop a kill team into a 40k battle and not have them get wrecked
doesn't matter much when the long life is a year
a single squad in 40k always gets slaughtered lol
40k is incredibly lethal
you should expect your units to die horribly
doesn't matter if its a marine, or a Grot
I lack the moneys to play a game longer than 2 minutes lol
I mean killteam is longer
lol
KT and 40k game lengths are about the same
ironically
because of how scale works
nah. The point was to make a custom RPG conversion and use those dudes as a strike team
Crazy how getting hit anywhere with that thing is probably guaranteed death
40k has TTRPGs
I like the idea of the FFG ones
They're quite fun
But I don't know which one to play out of those
Use a game master emulator to run a co-op scenario driven rpg
It depends in the type of Guardsmen and from where they come. Could be that if you where part of the tithe that your family would get some sort of compensation for you. Actually if you take into consideration some books from the pen and paper settings there are monthly salarys for different classes listed there
So far I have heavy intercessors and those dudes in the pic that fit the scale
tbh its easier to name what guns can't kill you in a single shot in 40k LOL
and a TON of cardboard standees from Starfinder
What do you think kriegsmen sound like
so I have lots of opposition and characters/monsters
I think in Janoviches video they had kind of a squeaky one
Of course nothing official
But it reminded me of those droids from star wars a bit
Or well now it does
French/German/British
because thats what their gear is based on
lol
pick one of 3
dif parts of the planet have dif accents
Hmmmmmmmmm
muffled
Lasgun melts the area of your body it hits ||unless your name is Harlon Nayl||
but not comically so
I believe their bayonet is American
the most foul of all europeans, they sound like squeaky teenager luxembourgers with a smattering of english
đ
Honestly
most of the weapons I'm thinking of that can't kill you with 1 shot
aren't meant to kill you

do not have sympathy for luxembourg
Last night I went against an Abrams/Drifter lane
abums
Both me and my laner ~5k souls ahead in the early game and Abrams still pumping out enough damage and survivability to almost 1v2 us if we weren't explicitly careful
So has anybody tried to like
Farm engagement from the Chaos Gods
Like they tried to gain favor from Khorne by say
Forcing people into cages
Giving them a knife
"Only way to survive is if you murder the other"
That type of cruelty
this is just normal chaos activities
lol
^
this is like bottom of the tier stuff
also you dont really farm engagement
you made them do this act
I was told there would be sunshine and rainbows
Where are the giant loving teddy bears
do you think this one will be fun and sunshine?
Yea
the name is promising
So how does gaining favor of the Gods work
I know it is definitely inconsistent cause
Do a lot of violence
Kill people.
or do a lot of X Y Z
Kill people.
True.
But I think it depends which method?
Hence the "elaborate methods" part
Although why would Tzeentch care about murder.
True but do you have to do it in like
A sneaky way
Using sorcery
Or can you just shout
"For Tzeentch!" And then stab somebody in the throat
And I assume merely stabbing them wouldn't Garner you much favor since in Tzeentch's eyes that's boring
Unless if you did it as the end to some overly long scheme
Like a political assassination
Does anyone know why they like to build hive cities up instead of out?
Because they already built it as wide as possible.
A lot of hive cities take up entire continents
Save space
Think of Coruscant from Star Wars
Most Hive Cities already are built out as wide as possible
Oh, from the depictions I have seen they looked like they had a lot of land to build out. But those could have been smaller hive cities
Also you need to do things like remove mountains
Forests
Etc.
And that's difficult
Just build up instead

Hive cities are a lot bigger underground due to infastructure
then they are on like
the surface
Speaking as an architect its the case of humans in general building, well, buildings upwards, its to efficiently use limited and expensive land in dense urban areas, accommodating both residential and commercial needs by building vertically rather than spreading out.
In the case of Hives they are all these but also massive metropolises who trillions to gazillions of humans, people just build and build ontop of them interchanging of each other and its just where it all goes.
At the end of the day its just natural progression.
Kwonloon walled city
Personally, the Necrons and Egyptians got the right idea with pyramids
Big triangle is aesthetically pleasing

big fan of darktides depiction, very wide very tall
Kwonloon was a disaster waiting to happen tbh
I think it was partially restricted due to the land expansion being limited by law
If I remember correctly, part of the reason why people moved there is because it was "technically" subject under Chinese law rather than Hong Kong/British.
So it was a weird grey zone.
a lot of dentists that couldn't operate in hong kong proper or something, pretty cool
Which is why Dentists were there. Because their Chinese Degrees didn't count in Hong Kong
Because...
Fuck you.

Bro airplanes nearly touched the roofs of several buildings
It was apparently a common site to see a plane screaming near you
I was just surprised that a plane didn't fucking crash and cause an early accidental 9/11
This one, they've obviously spread out wide but built tall in the centre. Not that I'm an architect but building up is pretty space efficient, ish
Its really good yeah
Considering its 40k, why not make the whole world one massive hive city instead of various hive cities?
Way too costly
Hives serve a purpose by being focal points
đ
Also if I remember I definitely think there are a couple of Hive cities that are planet wide
Its why I recommend folks to look at maps like Munda
where theres like a dozen hive cities
and inbetween them is just countless sprawl-cities
then its just wastelands etc
Yeah lol
So basically
Suburbia but shitty

So basically hive cities are basically capital cities, then sprawl cities are the dinky little towns in the boonies, and then the wastelands are just not used land
I haven't completed a book in a really long time
there can also be hive cities that are just floating cities, or hives that are completely underground, inside mountains, above gas giants, etc.
Closest I've got recently was 90%
"Man I love my 15 minute hour city!"
Krieg might be the first book I complete in a long time.
^
God I'd love to see the floating ones on gas giants
I think gas giants are underused in 40k
Knowing the Imperium, if you lived in a Sprawl city that's nearby a Hive. There would be a traffic jam that makes Los Angeles feel like a 5 minute walk.
but most writers dont really explore alien planet concepts much
Big fan of Ambulon, the ambulatory city just walking around the place
It's like a futurama skit almost
30 hour drive to your daily work place
(The distance is actually just an hour drive but the traffic jam makes it so much longer)
Imagine a hive city that 'mines' gaseous material from a gas giant like Nitrogen by doing some 1800s esque mine shaft shit that dips down close to the core of the planet
That shit sounds awesome and horrifying
There is one actually like that as a very offshoot mention
gas harvest is a thing in some lore bits
I mean the problem is that most Gas Giants aren't solid enough to stand on.
So it'd probably be a floating citadel type of situation
Well yeah, thats fine
warframe reference
Stop doing this thing called reading it's bad for you

Wait a minute.... Im not a they!!!!!!
Too late
assigned they by lore chat
Accidental skipping over words aside.
I can imagine it being similar to like
The heretic base in Halo 2
The one the Arbiter inflitrates
But much much bigger
That'd be awesome
And also shittier
Just straight up awesome
Also reminder, 40k works on the rule of "make up any shit you want"
so you can come up with some wild habitational city ideas
Warframe gas city
"Another shift in the gas mines."
I can imagine those type of planets would be mostly Mechanicus owned tbh
World where everyone lives happy and full lives
Exists but it will probably get evaporated by Orks in like 10 years
Is that a copy of Gloriana map? đ
You mean the bass pro shop pyrmid
Like I can imagine there being actual decent or even good planets to live on.
It's just due to the strict tithes, I can imagine them eventually turning into shit as a result
Because the resource hunger is so prevalent that any "good" planet will inevitably turn into another shitty wasteland
So it would be temporary
Even "good" planets will be bad to some extent
the shittiness of planets spawns from its rulers
here IRL they at least SOMETIMES gotta put on a show of a good act and leadership
in the Imperium they can do whatever they want as long as tithes are met
you can literally be going home fro ma factory job and a Enforcer will just kill you because he was bored lol
my favorite offtime activity for palanites
shooting at random people
Honestly standards in the Imperium are probably so low that a good ruler would probably be like
"Willing to put in a bit more effort to actually give miners proper equipment."
+3 maelstorm
Basically yes.
Is tertium small compared to other hive cities then?
Average
Not really no
90 Billion is a big number lol
and thats just Hive Tertium btw
we dont know about the other hives
Maybe when 40k actually comes irl will we explore other hives
Fat shark, please, swim faster

Time to go to China
đ¨đł
Hong kong is a irl hive city
there's not a lot of places irl that would be dense enough to be an actual hive city
yet
Visited there twice.
The air quality apparently got better since the last time I visited. Somehow.
Like, I know America isn't exactly the poster child of clean air.
But I am serious in that back then, spending like a day in Beijing probably is equivalent to breathing in Los Angeles air for like a week
Time to go again.
Also people kept spitting on the ground

Not even towards like gutters or trash cans
Just randomly
Somehow that bothered me the most
less smog now
prolly because they're burning less coal
Good
Didnât china recently reach a point where they have more factory robots than the entire world
My dad went to china while working for a windmill company and almost lost his thumb and they wouldn't help him at the hospital before he paid which struck me as odd
Hopefully if I ever visit China again, the sun doesn't look like the Death Star charging up
honestly probably?
they have a lot of factories
China has a thing called âDark Factoriesâ and its just factories entirely staffed by robots
Yeah that's an unfortunate thing about China
Unless if you are literally dying
Pay up
...
At least they still have universal Healthcare
The USA is basically the same btw
That sounds...made up lmao.
Farming engagement is actually like one of the most popular things the followers can do
there's still going to be "handlers" for the robots tbh
but total automation of assembly lines is possible nowadays
Yippee I love low level jobs being erased

There are repair technicians and such but everything is fully automated
again, there's probably still a handler present to ensure everything runs smoothly
Congratulations we're in the future
Do you enjoy it

Here a quote from a news article âChinese factories installed nearly 300,000 new industrial robots last year alone. To put that in perspective, the United States, the worldâs largest economy, installed a mere 34,000.â
Tbf the USA pretty much outsources a majority of it's work
To China
And various other countries
True
But yeah our manufacturing plants basically
Aren't a thing
If the USA ever wants to bring back manufacturing it would probably take a couple of decades
54% of robot installation came from china last year
Thats wild
The machine spirit is strong with china
Total automation factories aren't inherently bad. It means less work for people. Or well...less work means less money. I'd like to think it has a good outcome but I don't know how it would turn out bad
more lol
They aren't. Automation isn't inherently bad.
There'd still be maintaince required
And possibly those to collect the finished goods
I like the idea of a job being as simple as that
Driving from point A to B...besides trucking
In fact, part of the reason why is that despite having a lot of jobs in general.
It isn't enough for a lot of people to fucking live
Or even higher grade jobs. Good luck trying to get experience
Should've hustled when you were 5

Automation isn't the cause of that. It's unfortunately us.
I just want humanity to have a better work life balance. Ideally I'd want people to work 20 hours a week on average. Thats two 10 hour shifts or 4 5 hour shifts
Or vice versa
Humans are humanityâs problem unfortunately
40 a week already takes its toll on people
Hell most people wouldn't even stop working if jobs became an option
They'd probably go for their passions
I had a temp job at 20 hours a week and I wasn't worried about money and it was honestly heaven I'd do it forever if I could
