So 1st company would be the Veterans, so on and so forth

I know other Chapters didn't care about the Codex like the space wolves, so their first company is still called the Wolf Guard

and the Dark Angels 1st and 2nd company are still called Deathwing and Ravenwing

Legion Terminators were just veteran/specialist terminators

I.E Ultramarine Fulmentarus were not first company within the first chapter of the legion

also regarding some other formations they were honor guards for the primarchs like the Iron hand Morlocks or Imperial Fist Huscarls.

so they literally have 0 reason to exist now considering there is no primarch to be a body guard to. Formations that remained despite formerly being Primarch bodyguards have been adapted/are similar in name only

I.E Deathwing Companions evolved into Deathwing Knights, and also no longer wear power armor ever and are only in terminator armor. White Scar Keshigs are no longer Primarch honorguard but are specifically Terminators who are above and beyond the average terminator in the Chapter
