Would it be in anyway possible that the commissar RT from the game could've studied under him at the schola?
Cuz ik rogue trader takes place very soon after the fall of cadia
Cain would be quite a bit older, no?
Yeah
im sure you could find a way
But the rogue trader in the game is described as being young so
Shocks of the Fall reach you during the game
Yes
You had respect for Serbia
well I guess, though I'm not sure if everyone goes to the same schola, I doubt it?

Yeah its the whole reason why the koronus expanse got cut off from the rest of the imperium
If you head to the astropathic choir on your ship you can see an Astropath give a message about cadias fall then die
well, anyways...
I wouldn’t call it an Easter egg
They kinda bash you over the head with it
If you are capable of putting 13 and fall together
Yeah
Ty
Wait like the destruction of cadia happens in-game and the screen reacts or some shit?
No
One of your astropaths gets hit by the psychic fallout and spouts some semi cryptic shit then dies
Oh thats awesome
"Are you serious, AGAIN?"
"AT LEAST RELAY THE INFORMATION PROPERLY BEFORE YOU DIE! YOU DON'T NEED TO MAKE A DEATH POEM ABOUT IT."
imagine a book where a space marine just stops wanting to fight and retires on a somewhat civilized world far from everything
ye but then he got back into fighting right?
well someone had to do all the 13 or 14 crusades
statistically with how many planets humans control in 40k, there will be at the very minimum one planet that has never heard of the imperium and will outlive the entirety of the events in the setting
oh and guess you could say that Deathrow is somewhat retired or just an odd ball of a space marine
i want a space marine to crash land there and just become at peace with the fact that he doesn't really have to go back to war
Do gang wars count
no
Then Munda has one
I doubt the space marine indoctrination really allows for full on retirement and giving up on waging war
i think he's insane in the membrane
not willingly recluse
Vandoth the Fallen
he's a blood angel i'm pretty sure so you know he needs the blood
aren't the fallen always plotting something
no
or i guess yeah just hiding which is not really willing
think The Lion: Son of the Forest had some Fallen who just lived their life out somewhere doing nothing but I'm not sure if I recall it right
who knows, maybe he's happy doing what he does
maybe he really is retired
and is choosing to kill hive scum
that would be interesting
maybe i should ping silence to ask
the understatedly suave lizard lover
He works like a Merc for every gang basically
which thanks to his giant size and brute strength he does pretty well
is he paid in blood
he gets plenty for from the victims of the gangs that hired him
or if the gang that hired him pissed him off
well
terrifying

I Sometimes forget we got lore chat channel. Heres new lore where the Scabs and Dregs mutation is getting worse
New Face Models for Reaper, Scab Mauler, Dreg Bruiser and Dreg Gunner, Scab Shotgunner shares same model with Scab gunner only without tentacle on the eye
Really praying on that Drukhari reveal now
You huffing more copium than the drukari
I need it
I made a bet with my friend that Drukhari would be revealed this week
If they aren’t I have to paint one of his models
IRON HANDS MENTION
Why is the Omnisian Axe set aside from the Tech Marine ?
And why did they call it "Omnissiah Axe"
i think some ppl were thinking the power axe was going to be their melee instead of the actual axe theyre known for
because if htey said the acutal name 70% oft he player base wouldnt know what it is lmao
Acceptable
Based as hell
One more day till my first box of minis arrive
whatd you get
Bet he got Dark Angels
Tempestus Aquilons. I would’ve gotten em two weeks earlier but apparently the payment didn’t go through on their main website.
Based
real
Im still trying to find a box of the necron kill team that shit is sold out
Gotta call some lgs
time to learn about the lamamanders
Watch the Year 2 Trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a first-person action shooter developed by Saber Interactive.

i can't wait to play again end of next year
Also, finally.
Hell yeah finally
Guys, buckle up.
I have very specific, important lore question:
Can we assume that blood type of Astartes defaults to 0rh-?
If humans still have the same blood types
And it would make more sense for them to be AB I'd guess
Exhibit A:
To help with streamlining implant production, application and transplantation.
But 0rh- is the universal type. Can be applied to ANYBODY.
I'd just assume whatever they do to make blood clot easier makes them able to take any blood
What about giving?
Exhibit B:
AB is the universal reciever
Space Marine blood only goes to space Marines
O is the universal giver
There is a lote bit that an apothecary saves a mortal woman by pouring astartes blood from a vial to her wound.
Make more sense for it to be the reciever if anything
It does, but the lore bit I show proves otherwise. Still, only astartes stuff can be applied to astartes, so no problem if they all are 0rh-
I need two male fuedal names for my knight story
Also imperium heros named might also be accepted
Only ones off the top of my head are Alaric and Godfrey
Bahram
Thanks
I literally just went on Google and pasted male fuedal names
do not thank me
I only chose Godfrey because that’s the current name of a knight for my own story
Oh
For now at least
It's ok they are dead characters in the story
I just needed something
And I'd rather ask chat than Google tbh
There's something funny about a person named constant being dead
Could you imagine the destruction if Night at the Museum happens in a 40k museum with life-size models. 😂
imagine having so many necromunda models that you can run an imperial miita list
i wonder what you owuld run ash waste nomads as
waht about hte new melee guys
the best part is to debate if the minis can break out of their bases or not

Imagine if Small Soldier happened with 40k
Imo yes, since they’re not part of them
damn it
yeah i forgot they are literally a part of their molds just now lmao
I think it depend on what is the "whole"
Potato head isn't all the individual parts
It's the whole
the thing with Potatohead is the entire point of his toy concept IS the fact that he can come apart
So would the the mini "toy" be considered with the base or nof
yeah also they are like
lol
lol
"Oh Throne, I lost my legs."
Then one could argue that each part of the body could be it's own entity
lol
STOP SAYING "lol"
I know the argument is slimy
But why is the glued on arm not considered equally like the glued on base
I know the feral subfaction gives you access to a better melee unit, I gotta do some cross referencing and then realize I’m trying to play HH and stop
Heresy 3e
💀
Plenty of good ideas
It’s also got some dogshit ones as well and awful choices
lol
Those aren't rare in general tbh
No like
The he uh, sub faction thing is neat, I was lookin g at feral world or voidbourne
REALLY dogshit ones
lol
Like some of the worst gameplay decisions GW has ever cooked up
Yeah you know warlord traits and relics? Those are gone
No replacement

Lmao
You know those things everyone liked
Rites of war? That gave you a unique way to build an army
With special benefits and restrictions
Yeah, those are gone
it was basically the only cool part abotu being loyalist or traitor
Oh yeah you know the fact that some units were only locked to loyalist or traitor, yeah uh, most of that got removed

bruh
demons?
Oh daemons and stuff yeah
?
Have they cured cancer in the imperium in 40k
lmao
Yeah but only if you’re rich or willing to lose a lot of flesh
lol
Well
For the mechanicus they found the answer to how much of your body needs to be replaced for cancer to not kill you
But if you don’t want that there’s a normal cure
It seems like one of the places imperium has actually advanced to in the 41st millennium is like, being able to do stuff to the human body
It’s just $$$ and out of reach for the average person
most of these subfactions almost all directly correlate to a necromunda gang or 2 lmao
So I assumed if you got cancer you could go buy a pill and pop it
Well the imperium has mandatory vaccinations
And that'll cure it in a week or something
To try to combat the uber horrid sicknesses
oh hey twisted helix
It’s an injected cure
And it’s not elaborated on beyond that
Also is the emperors corpse like
An actual skeleton
Or can you see his features or are there like decaying bits of flesh hanging off his nose
It’s a disgusting rotted dessicated fleshy skeleton corpse thingy
So he looks like a zombie
According to the SoS
Less rotted flesh more dried out but yeah
I’d assume so?
You know, slap a golden mask on him and get a mortician in there, make him look presentable
The custodes prolly do it
But he is alive technically
Yeah
Maybe hel twitch or something if someone tries to flex his fingers into a rude gesture
And melt them into puddle
Tbf the SoS and custodes armor after they leave the room
Is like literally scorched black and covered in soot lol
Always
I remember
His presence is like reality melting or something
Depending on who you are I guess
What do you mean, like a life sized one?
There are no sob minis with their helmets?
That's strange
Their helmet is pretty distinct
There is but not with the fully enclosed version
Ah
It’s got the exposed eyes
Which aren’t a big issue because refractor field
But still
They should try getting a callidus assassin to shapeshift into the emperor in his prime
And walk around the streets
Itl be good for morale
Or into a primarch for that matter
Why would they
They can shapeshift into any person can't they
Height weight gender size doesn't matter afaik
Or outfit
There’s an upper limit for size generally
Mmmmm
Drugs
There’s also issues with cybernetics and turning into like, weirder things
Orks, eldar, tau are pretty doable
But stuff with exo skeletons aren’t
It's even funnier how they can like...replicate the bits and bobs that are attached to your outfit
Oh that's true, I forgot they steal it
Or they get something basically exact
Yeah
Still, if you turn into a space marine sized emperor
It's still good for morale
Is that fucking exodus
are they doing skins for the csm that are mp only now ?
They’re free but yeah
I don’t think it’s the rifle
It just looks weirdly like exodus lol
I’d assume it’s just an AL fanboy
No
Which is the dead one again
^
Right
Omegon fucked off to god knows where lol
died off screen
slipped on banan
He's sitting on the golden throne ofc, dressed as the emperor
Schrodinger's lazy writing
It's so funny to me that omegon is a primarch
Like he's just running a Mcdonalds somewhere in the warp
only known thing about swagger is that he's packing
shut the fuck up
Lmao

He's an Inquisitoral agent he'd be screened
Do you think he'd let me pull his hood down to check
Do people forget that the Inquisition have means to test GSC now ?
Apparently they do forget
Like it would be strange that the local Inquisition didn't
He’d let you feel his forehead through the hood lol
More so when they've previously faced GSC not so long ago
No bump and ridges not a hybrid
If someone’s kissed its harder to detect but it’s still doable
"Kissed" don't look any different from before
I do hope he at least carries a weapon somewhere in that outfit
Honestly would have prefered him having a Auto-Pistol or a Reolver
Are there admech that have actually managed to become like..100% machine
Let's say , have they replaced all external flesh, all internal organs except the brain
Yes
And count as tech preists and not servitors
Yeah
The fabricator general
Does Cawl
Not the current one the one who died during the opening of the great rift
So if it's possible to replace everything except the brain, why do tech preists go about it slowly, they've got the tech and surgical skills to have most of them be able to be like that right
Supplies
Augments are expensive
Supplies, they want the best stuff
Tech priests also don’t always want
To replace everything
Some only replace what’s injured, ect.
Some see flesh as the greatest machine
Well, supplies is valid, but I imagine like, you can probably find a cybernetic arm for your last couple of limbs on mars
He's attached to it

Ok ok I'll leave
Ritual, is another factor
Sentimental reasons
Muscle memory
You guys think primis is cawls bio son
Do admech hate psyker stuff, like do they look down on warp magic as a rule
Since they don't have psykers
Of their own
They see it as too risky,
They probably just donate psykers to the black ships or kill them
But it's more so that all Psyker are sent to the Psykana, and that Augments aren't something that Psyker often can do
There are some Magos that study it
Psyker augments have to be specificly made for psykers like psi baffles
It’s seen as risky and also the treaty of mars dictates the mechanicus hands over all psykers to the telepathica
Ah the treaty
Funny ass auto correct
Abomination intelligence
But yeah the mechanicus has 0 issues with psychic powers
Beyond the normal like
Issues people have
Yeah the general discrimination
Also psychic awakening has made Psyker priests and skitarii
Funnily enough
The mechanicus has decided not to hand these people over
Because the treaty of mars says born psykers
I'm sure some tech priest somewhere got their hands on a psyker somewhere and tried making them into a special skitarius
It's not legal

Like they keep him in a lead lined box
Until they drop him into a battlefield
Via a drop pod
And then he just causes horrific radiological damage and generally horrific mental harm
To anyone that sees him
I wonder if we could see art or minis of one
The dude is absolutely an uncontrolled Psyker
But he believes he’s just suffused with the holy light of the omnissiah
So sticking him in a lead lined box with a psi stiffiler is enough to stop the worst of the effects
Well, I find the literal tech that interacts with the warp interesting , like force swords and nemesis gear, or a shield that blocks you from psychic attack
Yeah
But they don’t use it generally since they’re not psykers
It's mostly common
except for the devices that work off of ambient warp energy or other sources of power
But those are super heretical and obviously don’t exist

Deimos stuff is the rarest stuff we have in game in theory
Yeah since its heavily limited export wise
It's a astroid that's 13 miles across
though mars can produce deimos pattern equipment as well
it got bigger
Because that gear is elite, and also grey knights tend to have like always pristine equipment
Its more of a space station then asteroid now
Fair
Deimos was a slaved forgeworld to Mars till Malc stole it
lol
nowdays they have a chip on their shoulder because they're not a major forgeworld and never can become one due to how limited their exported equipment is
and the fact mars can produce their patterns of equipment
Malcador making new secret orders with wide authority faster than ferrus loses his head
Is that a vanguard
Yeah
I think Deimos should get some special rules where they get some Warp sensitive Skitarii with Force melee weapons
If they were to get Warp sensitive ones sure
Electro preists are kinda warpy in their design and function, even if they aren't like, psykers I guess
Nah, just high voltage
Electro Priests are literally just carrying a bunch of electrical stuff
Instead of just being magos with electric gear, visually
There's a Tau joke in there somewhere
I'd love to see some Electro Magos
That guy looks ripped
The magos walking by are just like " we gotta hit the gym"
They’re cool
Yeah they tend to be forgettable
The mechanicus is super diverse aesthetically and I like it for that reason
Reasonable
I'm going to be honest you tend to like things that look good but ascended emotions by being no longer flesh
Have you ever seen electro pads that help training ? Think of this like but you have the whole electrical current going through you directly
Electro priests are the type of guys who get put on the monthly Mars calendar and recruiting posters, "Join the Cult, look like that tomorrow for the Omnissiah", then some guy joins and gets his limbs replaced and his brain scooped out to be an accountant
And he stares much like everyone else onboard
Electro priests literally melt their own eyes out with electricity
As a part of their initiation lol
Least insane Mechanicus shenanigans
Issok, you don't need eyes in the imperium
They don’t need eyes to see
and who's to say he isnt
They can literally sense the static energy around them
True…..
Do they have also a form of electromagnetic echolocation or something
Yes
if the omnissiah has holy light its definitely in the glorious gamma spectrum
It is yeah
Bionic eyes look cooler anyway even if they did
Okay so they can literally daredevil the environment but instead of sound it's electricity
alpha and beta radiation cant be holy light because they're not photons
All light is a form of radiation
Someone should do some inter setting warp messaging and send the electro priest dossier to the storm cast, I bet they'd be very interested
They think something that can mutate people into monsters as a form of gift?
Not how radiation works in 40k
What
Okay then that makes more sense but less sense
alpha radiation is protons not photons and beta radiation is helium-4 nuclei
It’s like irl radiation
Said radiation can also do other things
yeah they dont need magic radiation because that's what chaos is
Or get completely incinerated by a bomb
Or become a space marine
It doesn't mutate you as you say right
regular radiation gives you radiation sickness and burns
Some skitarii ask the guardsmen they fight along side if they would like to receive “mercy” from the gifts
lol

Which just means would you like us to kill you before you die of horrific cancer
yeah radiation in 40k only mutates you in the realistic sense
in that it mutates individual cells and that doesnt matter unless the mutation is cancerous
The only thing that’s kind of silly is the cut off point for radiation being lethal to the mechanicus
Yo dude ya wanna die of cancer or get shot by a plasma gun
All right then I will keep that in mind
???
brain encased in lead
lol
it's very healthy
replace my lower half with tank treads
torso immune to radiation
protects u from 5g too
That would explain why some seem as stupid as Soldier TF2
But once skitarii and priests are past the crux, they don’t need to worry about radiation anymore
For
Some reason
It’s why veteran skitarii vanguard exist
thats so funny and absolute nonsense
I agree
The light of the omnissiah is a wondrous thing
Also all mechanicus armor is lead lined, fully sealed and designed to deal with radiological hazards lol
Which is fucking hilarious
For them to be completely mean to radiation they need to be complete metal like necrons
Honestly this is Warhammer at this point I just file it in for nonsense
If it works it works
they could have said that like, some mechanicus are basically stripped down to a few heavily shielded organic parts and they're good with radiation but 50%??
Skitarii armor is weird, it recycles sweat and bodily waste to turn into a salve lol
Thats an additional protective layer
In terms of general armament in warfare, do necrons have better tech than the tau
Yes
yes
Because Necrons are bullshit
the writers dont know how radiation works
Yeah that
its not that deep guys please
necrons have invincible ancient egyptian space magic
^science
they don't know and they don't care ye
They call it science
because like, radiation can literally stick to metal/steel or anything for fucking decades lol
Gauss Flayer that literally disintegrates people to the very atoms themselves vs aimbot laser gun
I actually had a character in a story die from that once
they shake hand with a techpriest
not realising hes fucking irradiated
Tbf that is why skitarii vanguard cleanse and swap their armor
lol
But yes
They’re radioactive as fuck
They just walk through a car wash
secret skitarii tech where you weaken the enemy armor via neutron embrittlement
📻 ☢️ 🫡
That’s a thing
In lore lol
lmao
Like in the codex
I'm blaming it on the tin skin on this one his fault for forgetting radiation is poisonous to those not blessed by the machine
To be fair even if the Skitarii fail the enemy will die of radiation later
Radiation is so commonplace in 40k anyway, aren't like half the hive world wastes " irradiated" by toxic industrial waste or prior wars
shoulda got exactly 50% of their body replaced
I dont think they care lol
Yeah but the mechanicus are even worse lol
Because they literally see radiation as holy
To an extent
Fallout ahh
Children of Atom
mechanicus are the embodiment of "it gets worse"
You need a culture like that to produce revolvers that shoot grenades
You need a culture like that to make super white phosphorus lol
Phosphor being the preferred weapons of skitarii officers is so fucking funny
fallout be like "how long could radiation linger in the environment at dangerous levels, 1000 years?"
OH FALLOUT REMINDS S2 IS COMING OUT LETS GOOO
White phosphorus but it burns even brighter, hotter and is extremely sticky
I mean by the grand scheme of things it's not that horrific compared to the other s*** the factions are packing on the normal
I mean yeah
WW2 commanders and imperial guard commanders after seeing what white phosphorus smoke grenades do to people
But it’s funny that white phosphorus exploding loaded pistols
are considered the favored weapon
Oh it's absolutely is
It's like me carrying gas grenades as a self defense weapon
lol
Drukhari tech is like, way beyond radiation bullshitery that doesn't make sense for writing reasons
Not psychic edition™
It's eldar tek but edgy
Add 4 more smoke launchers onto the tank
Literally that
space elf weapons arent even pretending to be science usually since they're all psychic
This video is like a good representation of about most eldar/dark eldar weapons
Wait what's the wraith bone equivalent for Dark eldar
Me when the skitarii throw a smoke grenade(it’s full of incense and radiation)
We dunno
It’s some alloy
normal alien metal/steel
You know the super material the make everything out of
They casually throw the demon core at you
Yeah we dunno its name
Super unique alloy that doesn't have any name and can be literally anything because of the power of plot got you
Sicarians have a grenade that literally scrambles your brain like an egg
its literally just alien metal
If you’re not wearing enough hearing protection lol
Ah Sicarians, allegedly human.
its not allegedly
Yeah but like alien metal can literally be turned into everything by plot
its just a human torso
Ah yes better scramble like an egg before you get folded like an omelette
kenshi reference
its just normal steel, it doesnt have unique properties
Okay now that's a bit lame
also xenos faction so never detailed lore so
Curse you space Marines for getting all the detail
We don’t even have detailed lore on plasteel lol
yeet
why dont the dark eldar have wraithbone actually
They’re not psykers
Drukhari having the technology to like create and manipulate black holes and then exclusively using it to shoot Black holes at people with their Dark Lances is always hilarious.
oh yeah
its psychic
Because pain engine is bae
Talos pain engine
Doing something like that would also probably attract unwanted psychic attention if you catch my drifting tank
My beloved
Dark Eldar on their way to launch a black hole at people because they are bored
They tend to avoid psychic things a lot
It's so funny that the drukhari just set the pain engine loose among like civilians in a street
they dont tbh
Me when I have to turn my master into a sentient bowl of soup because I’m bored
i imagine they could have stolen any sun in rogue trader but they chose an inhabited system to do a little trolling
Me when I see my entire platoon get turned into ikea furniture
They literally did it because they were bored lmao
yeah they are
they put the Harkonnen flesh-shaping thing into the movies too
for like that spider-human monster
its fucking gross
lmao
still cant believe the denis dune stuff doesnt suck
Has szeras ever had a pally wally phase with the haemonculi like fabius did
No
Szeras is too racist
It's the "pet" that the Mother insists leaves the room when she enters
it is on dune lol
Szeras literally considers everyone an ant
Bile is like
Dune has color smh
literal leagues below him
i remember that scene but for some reason i can't picture the creature
An insect with a science degree
An ant appreciator?
Mint it’s very w:e
no
no
like to give you an idea
Szeras is so skilled as a scientist
that the forces of the universe itself
stop him from achieving his goals somehow
which is fucking hilarious

Based
He's also responsible for the bio transference
Skill issue
Ye
Should have been better
yeah the 5th edition codex says like the fundementals of reality literally half him back from going nuts with his discovering
Fuck you go turn someone into soup or something (forces of the universe probably)
Too mediocre
prolly cuz we just see it's ass
i mean it's ant thing
An abdomen?
this will be you when i find you
:)
on the second concept art it just looks midly annoyed
Resident evil mini boss
Insert minecraft spider noise here
Nah the Grounded Orb Weaver one
biohazard is so f good
This is a genuine question
who tf knows
Cause I genuinely want to play through them before playing the
Reboot?
Sequel series?
Sequel series
Nuh uh
Yeh
can't wait for requiem
For my knight world I'm thinking the first two children in the line inherit the parents knights and if there are any kinds after the first two they either get sent off to the schola for do some other task off world when they become 14
Maybe send the other ones to join Questoris Knights
This is unrelated to anything
Explain?
Questoris Knight are different Knight systems that are under the orders of the Admech, and less independent
So they get sold to the Admech in exchange for tech support, keeping the 1st two to continue their lineages
Suppose that could also be an option
But that's probably just one of the dates that could befell a thirdborn
Okay I'm done gif posting
I surrender
Honestly
It's always what I do to those fucks
no
I just realized that Commissar has the fucking
Coat cape thing
Has anybody actually done that outside of fiction
1 shoulder only for cab though
It's called a Pelisse
@celest dome you know maybe it's not every third born but maybe they do it like a tithe, so a percentage of extra blood gets sent off to admech and the rest either become sacrostans or go off into the wider imperium to do other jobs
for some reason this takes me back to the game, Ryse: Son of Rome
goated game
yeah, i always love it when you do the Testudo Formation
Did they ever do a game in the same style later on ?
not that i can recall, at least in the extent of QTE executions
i wonder how testudos fared against cavalry
Not bad but its a compromise on a regular spear line
The dense packing means you can get uh... tangling problems
I remember playing that game
I mostly remember enjoying the damocles makeover
I.AM.DAMOCLES.
YOU. ARE.NEXT!!
Troops in formation and then you flat tire the guy's sandal in front of you and they start tumbling
I loved Vitallion's character. his unique shield design was pretty nice
His speech was amazing
One of the best fictional glory of Rome type speeches I've ever heard, and there are a lot of those
Also he looks like the real roboute guilliman
modern soldiers wish they had the drill discipline of romans at their peak
walking in sync into battle
shut up femboy
Modern soldiers got plenty of drill discipline, it's just walking into battle is a lot more dangerous with intercontinental ballistic missiles and things
Or place a machine gun near them
that had the same capacity as "Shut up dear furry!"
Yeah marching in line is still a thing
But it's only ceremonial and for discipline practice at most
Since well uhhh
Again
Indeed
Nah
That's probably the only reason why it exists
Marching has never looked cool to me idk
It does to me but that's probably due to the tanks and shit added to it
I like ceremonial military marches
Idk why
What I find super cool in modern warfare is the insane tactics involved in small details
Like opening a door
Makes sense tbh.
IED moment
Anything
Guy with knife, casual civilian being casual
They got a well thought out response to everything, in training at least
Reason #1991 why I should not be drafted
I have terrible memory
I would forget that shit instantly
Especially under stress
Mental memory in this case is almost irrelevant, you'll be made to do it till it's in your bones
I know
But yeah
But that would take longer than basic allows
Stress is crazy

That aside, do not put my ass in the front lines.
I would accidentally get people killed
...
Or on purpose if they're complete assholes
I quite like that there were so many tactical manuals being written by the American and European armies on how to open and enter doors and the UA is just chucking grenades into the room before going in
It depends on which branch of the military you look at in USA, they actually tend do smaller important stuff like that differently
Marines got their own way of opening doors, navy got it's own, army got it's own
I distinctly remember an incident in the 1990s LA riots.
An officer told a marine to cover him
Obviously in police lingo that's "watch my back'
In Marine lingo it's "suppressive fire"
So the Marine fucking put 1000 bullets through that door
The funniest part is that somehow nobody died in that fuck up
The unfunny part is that actual children were in the apartment and they easily could've gotten gored.
You never know what can be achieved with the right conditions
I ended up as a Chemist
True.
Definitely not military grunt though
If they put me as a clerk
That would probably be the best
You never know
Ye, that's something that happens in the army lol, this new guy joined our squad , his first mission , super new, he had to chase some guy down in front of us ( guy he was supposed to shoot) and instead he yelled " FREEZE, HANDS UP" that might sound normal , but it's like, absurd in combat arms, he got made fun of for like a month, because you're trained to shoot when you know the circumstances allow you to shoot. No military unit should ever be working with like...cops and shit on home soil for that reason, the mindset is meant to be different
In combat, thousands of rounds are often fired for every casualty inflicted, so mag dumping a doorway not resulting in anyone getting hurt isn't insanely unlikely. It is quite lucky though
Aware but like
A slight miscommunication could have caused like two children and a woman to turn into meat chunks
Thank god it didn't end up like that
And also why military and police should be separate
No I agree completely, just saying that it's not unheard of
Yeah
Still kinda funny if you imagine the marine just like mag dumping while the cop shouts to stop
"I MEANT TO WATCH MY BACK DUDE STOP"
"RELOADING"
"DUDE STOP."
BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM
How long does it typically take for a tyranid fleet to arrive on a planet once a genestealer cult has successfully taken it over?
I have long taken issue with police officers receiving combat training from the same guys who train special forces teams.
The situations that they're likely to encounter are completely different.
Depends
It's awful from every angle
Could range from like two months to fucking never
But
Ty
i just love the constant end result for the GSC
GSC "yay! we are united with our four armed emperor, what next?" Nids: "get in the tub..."
Default police training is really bad, special forces folks know how to disarm someone and be non lethal better than the cops do, literally because cops panic or aren't used to a tense situation and take the most extreme option available in that situation
SOMETIMES they do get taken along for the ride tho
For some reason
and that brief instance of a cultist realizing the magnitude of what they done after being severed from the Nid hivemind, is hilarious
American cops have like 3 weeks of de-escalation training
And much more in guns
But ironically enough for both, it's still too small
Too little
Definitely more in de-escalation but also some cops literally have zero trigger discipline
Also, most of them are just, atrociously unfit
I remember a guy from like Supernanny.
He called his daughter sluts, slapped them, etc.
...
He became a cop
Despite having abuse on live fucking tv

Arbitescore
Background checks my ass bro
Arbites will at least recognize whether they're defenseless or not before shooting them
Like bruh, If you have to get so exhausted jogging ten miles you're huffing and puffing and now you have to make smart decisions in that state, like any other person of course you're going to do something dumb because you're that fatigued
If you can be cool after jogging ten miles then you're good, your brain is still fresh and active
One of the worst fucking
American Cop incidents in memory is wild in my opinion.
It's a cop deciding not to do the stereotypical thing of shooting anybody that's black. And instead trying to deescalate the situation.
Gotta be fit to handle stress
...
Dude it's crazy. I have gotten batter escalation of force training than most cops seem to get.
Only for his backup to shoot the perpetrator anyways
Solomorne complains about this in rogue trader lmfao. Even in the grimdarkness of 40k, police still need to file atrocious amounts of paperwork
sounds like one of the outcomes from Detroit Become Human
Look up Stephen Mader
have they got any update recently?
I know that one.
work friend is looking to get some
Well, they seem to be positively received from what I can tell, which isn't much mind you
Guys the little green men I ordered finally arrived yesterday :3
his eyes are set on one of these things
It's hilarious in a tragic sort of way.
Damn what are those
Basically he was called in to respond to a check in.
He found a black guy with a gun. Mader asked the guy to put the weapon down, but the guy refused and just yelled at him to shoot him.
It was him trying to do suicide by cop. Mader instead tried to talk him down. Backup arrived, and within like a minute, shot the black guy with the gun.
The gun had no bullets loaded in it btw.
And then Mader got fired for not shooting the guy in the first place.
I wish I was joking
They look like better space marines
Next Darktide class/s
Steeljacks i think
They’re ironkin bodies designed for war so yeah kinda
lol
Ironkin steeljacks is correct
kinda remind me of Starcraft Marines
Yeah starcrafty vibes
Your response was against department policy
