I think you underestimate how hard it would be to throw a halberd effectively
I found a video of a guy doing it, but like not more than 10ft and he's been training with weapons his whole life
First farming faction in tabletop
Tractor and bailer vehicles coming next
How could I be so foolish to overlook the faction which uses repurposed imperial tools as weapons, it's Genestealer Cults
Throwing a halberd at someone is really easy you just can't expect to stick them with a sharp part
That sickle is going to be a better anti vehicle weapon than Sororitas Melta
Na, too clean and they just got a sickle wielding unit that looks completely different

the legend
Good point
Hm
Who tf else uses sickles in AoS
Cities of sigmar?
Possibly but I'm starting to think Daughters of Khaine is most likely
I LMOW WE AHVE BEEN FREAKINH OUT ON THE AOS DISCORD
Sickles are pretty connected with Druids
So maybe some sort of Shaman or druid priest
Reapers have Scythes, not sickles
Yea it leaked a couple days ago
The one on the book cover is way better
another ultramarine 🧶
Where he’s got the flag
Yeah lmao
I like it, it's got some character
i dont dislike the mini, just the choice of character
it looks fine
the new alaitoc spiritseer is an eyecatcher though
at least i think its a spiritseer
That's a pretty big blunder
'fan'
But whatever
Might be worth the sub for me
lol
and I can pirate the shit out of warhammer+
couldve been worse, I was gonna say its an alaitoc warlock
eldar fans ought to be grateful Ik what a spiritseer is
LOL
and you should be grateful I answer your lore questions instead of turning you into a chair
Kindest haemonculi
for a lot of beefy stabby and shooty bois they got an absolute metric load of vehicles
including what looks like RAF spitfires
and helicopters
Yea Orks have a ton of unit variety
i think they might have a variant of every vehicle from every faction on some level or the other
and a lot of it is redundant tbh
yeah that's orks alright
all I can surmise is mekboyz must be really valuable and in high demand, since they can upgrade themselves to be like warboss sized
Is not a black library celebration mini
He is a normal black library mini
Whatever the fuck that means
Means he's not limited, he's sticking around like Uriel Ventris
Oh
She was Finecast but she was good
I'm so glad I purchased her when they brought her back on Made to Order
She funnily enough wasn’t finecast, she was GW’s new weird resin
That they barely used
yeah tis nice
I think i didnt like the ard boyz model much
the rest are mostly good
kommandos are dope
Also means his rules probably won't be legends like Uriel Ventris isn't
What justice is there that this gets to stick around permanently with non-legends rules
While this is limited and gets Legends rules
SM slop being the favourite of the 40k suits
how do eldar manufacture their weapons
also they got pretty massive variety of weapons, considering you got normal units and you got each aspect shrine with its own set of weapons
Bonesinger weapon smiths do it
Specific weapon smiths exist who specialize in making specific weapons as well
are their weapons made out of wraithbone
Yeah
yes
nice
I’d assume the metallics are wraithbone taking a different form
The only bits that are explicitly not wraith bone are the gemstones
Which the eldar just have a fuck ton of
I should find a vid that shows me a map of a craftworld layout
like wheres the captains cabin on this thing
Here you go
are eldar corsair forces made up from eldar of all 3 groups
or just ex craftworld eldar
Ex Craftworlder
i didnt know they had an entire army list
Some keep falling and end up in Commorragh
I thought they were like a killteam or something
They used to have more under Forgeworld, but now they're mostly just a Killteam
Time will tell though, there's been long standing rumours about them getting more units, the same way Krieg did
Krieg used to be Forgeworld, then they vanished, then they were a Killteam and now they're a full army in GW plastic
Same is apparently going to be true of Corsairs
It depends but mostly craftworlder
When a Voidsman is assigned to their ship, there is no going back. From that day on they are part of the vessel. They take part in the ship's vital fluids in a solemn ceremony, drinking incense-laced oil so that the ships essence flows through their bloodstream

There can be drukhari present in a Corsair crew
Depending on the tolerance of the crew
drukhari seem pretty much like corsairs already as a race
Yeah they’re pirates
worse sure
Corsairs don’t torture you for eternity(normally)
Corsairs still use Spirit stones and don't survive off of the suffering of others
drukhari have some absolutely dope units though, like mandrakes look nice
They're like an inbetween of Drukhari and Craftworld
The void scarred killteam having drukhari options is something I appreciate GW doing tbh
also mandrakes straight up being able to pop out of shadows and teleport around using them is kinda nice too
Since the old FW Corsair minis were all craftworld unless you wanted to do a lot of Kitbashing lol
Mandrakes live in a realm of shadow™
do deldar just not have any spirit stones
They can't use them
i imagine there were spirit stones back in the day in commoragh
Deldar are not compatible with spirit stones
You can't just pick up and use a Spirit Stone, you have to bond with it
They disintegrate if you try to bond with them
If you’re an awful person like the drukhari often are
Spirit stones didn’t exist yet
Yea they came after
thats true ig
the craftworlders make an effort not to be like before
and the drukharii just lean into it
The Craftworlders were the people who'd fled the way the Empire was going
well they basically came to the planets a few times in a year right, so they could visibly see the empire turning to degeneracy
Yeah
Some hadn’t left yet and were waiting till like
The last moment lol
Because they wanted to try to convince people it was going to shit

🫡
boy, yvraine's had quite the adventurous life hasnt she
Yep
Warlock, Dancer, Corsair, Wych, Gladiator, Dead person, High Priestess of the God of Death.
She's done it all

also i think shes fought every faction no
More or less-ish
If its just the Malys reveal ill scream

Hellions and Cerates plunge on their preys. Who are your favourite hunters from the Warhammer universes
why are they always infilitrating the garden of nurgle and not the brass citadel
Multi part archon as well
Apparently
Because isha
What's a Cerates?
Now I KNOW that cannot be real
i assume hellions are those unemployed deldar teenagers who like speeding
If it’s real I’m eating your mod role smh
I'm assuming it's a French word for Drukhari unit
Yeah basically uh
well actual hellions
a rowdy or mischievous person, especially a child.

I've already made a bet with a friend, if the Drukhari get revealed this week he's painting one of my models
Pretty much lol, but they’re somewhat closely tied to the wych cults

They’re too young to be Kabalites or Wych’s yet
and if they don't I'm painting one of his
But they want to “make it big” so to speak
Yeah Hellion = Hooligan essentially
yeah arent they like lower class criminals basically
and theres two more criminal tiers above them
theres no "tiers" persay
yeah just different gangs
i think lord hellion has a model though right
lord hellion? king hellion? hellion prime? i forgot his name
vect
yeah hes the worst offender
he hasnt had a model update since like
his model is terrible
Vect had an awful 3e mini
And then it got killed in 6e
Now granted for the time his mini came out it was insanely good
new book or is this battletome art- codex art
There is only one choice and it is the Chad Mozrog Skragbad
It’s old codex art
It’s from the 9e codex
ah nvm then
my fav hunter is Shalaxi Helbane
the only real answer
that looks like a kroot
i see
that is kroot
i love kroots
i dunno, i got so tired about reading about the battlesuits I didnt get into kroot units yet
bro are you alright?
ik they have the adaptation of what they eat thingie
also krootox is dope
especially rampaging krootox
Accurate.
Tau are basically suppose to be like the Covenant from Halo army -wise
but all you get is battlesuits
because they are more marketable lol
I like the rampaging krootox minis, mostly because i like how it kinda captured the krootox actually moving and rampaging vibe in a stationary mini
Name a tau auxiliary that is not kroot or vespids
not more battlesuits
please
MAKE IT STOP
especially since that one tank driving ace, longshot?? got his own experimental battlesuit
I like battlesuits

i want something besides primal zerg on a budget and highly developed insects with dangerous guns
kroot are cool simple vespid but it's always those two
also, farsight is a very cool character
I love the khorne thing they got him going off on
Khorne: “you should kill your friends”
and the fact that he doesnt like ethereals
also, I actually do really like how they killed aunva via culexus and now hes a proxy ai hologram
well if they do stuff like this i can kind of see why he doesn't like them
Like really
lol
It’s unclear
lol
It’s left ambiguous intentionally
But the ones the normal vespids wear aren’t mind control seemingly
yeah, I hope gw isnt just gonna tease ethereals hiding stuff forever like some its " obvious but not confirmed theory" and just cement something
Well they’ve got plenty of revealed stuff
Along with just normal evil deep state government stuff
I've seen your hunters, and I raise you this one
We still don’t know if puretide was murdered
Or if he just died of whatever disease he had
also the 8 are a pretty cool idea
in that instead of them being generic tau fire cast superboys they have their own band of outsiders thing going on
That's my pick for the sci-fi department here's my pick for the fantasy department
Amazing model, I’d love to use him for order of azyr
I'm telling you it's REAL
SHUT UP!
What's real?
They're 100% definitely going to do a Black Crusade game based on that little bit in the In a Nutshell video
otherwise I'll ban Dilara
At least it's not Only War, that isn't one that would work for OC
It is cool
And I quite like it
But it's not really suited for a OC game, nor is it for a tide game either imo
I think it could work in a game style like XCom or Aliens Dark Descent
but past that?
Absolutely
xcom mentioned, i have arrived
ehhhhhh
also, did the tau in the of the exodite end up in....commorragh
check out the rosigma mod for openxcom
it's really fucking good
at least, if you can tolerate the original xcom graphics
I will give it a look after this game
anyway idk i think the military context is either underused or misused in videogames
often*
Missused, sure
Underused
ehhh
debatable
the military are still some of the most frequent topic for video games
to clarify: misused when it is used, and interesting implementations are underused
i've had fucking brain fog for a couple days now i have to warm up every time i try to talk to someone
obviously there are fucking oceans of linear military shooters
That'll be the daemonic influence, I'd have the growth removed as quickly as possible
I like the hammer
i like the arm on top
THE CLAW
also, the ending of the exodite was incredibly whiplash inducing
but it had a death jester, which redeems everything for me
Honk honk
Oh yeha isnt there 2 versions of this model that’s the same thing in different poses
Literally me the first time I encountered one
I'm sorry to that random ass team I doomed like a year ago
Yeah but one is warhammer world only
You even look like that person (pfp at least)
Our Cadian girlfailure
i remember doing a very slow turn to a zealot when they decided to throw a knife to aggro the D host.
i may be evil
gay
huh?
Dumb idea for a KT: Human Necron cultists vs Human Eldar cultists.
Unepic_cole casually sending crotch-shots
glad thats the first thing your eyes gravitated towards
Why tho smh
Cause the Xenos deserve nothing and the human slop need to grow
TRUE
JUST GIVE ME A FUCKING FALLEN KILLTEAM
Different character.
It is sayori from deedeelcee
The Cadian Girlfailure
...
Who somehow killed a CSM
Truly captures the spirit of Cadia
INB4 The Fallen not longer exist.

Next season
I accidentally shot one out of panic at least two times
Alternatively, it's just some cultists and two Fallen marines

We already got a CSM and SM team this season
Which is a rarity lol
Also you can do a fallen team pretty easily with angels of death/legionaries tbh
Depending on how chaosy you want them
Yeah
A specific team would be nice
But I hate subfaction specific teams
COUGH COUGH NEMESIS CLAW
I give deathwatch a pass only because the system is named after them
me when scout marines
Tbf haven’t we already been shown two kill teams for next season?
The raptors and sisters
There are a couple of Kill Team concepts that I would love to see.
For the Imperium: Adeptus Astra Telepathica; Navigator Dynasty
For Chaos: Deamons (I swear there were some, like a Plaguebearer with a cauldron in its guts)
We dunno if it’s a 3 set season or 4 set season
The Dameon one is a Underworld one
Would a Fallen KT mean the other side would have to be Dark Angels?
No
See I would prefer not
oh right
Ravenwing KT?
Does an arbite killteam mean the otherside needs to be criminals
True.
(The answer is no we got Kabalites lol)
Fallen vs Zoats, let me live my dream of KILLING THOSE BASTARDS
lol
Or Tithe
Have we had a chaos vs chaos kill team yet?
No but GW tries not to double up on factions
For boxes
Think Mordheim had something like that happen
Yeah but not as a box set
Maybe they could do a Red Butchers vs Daemonettes
Watch the next box be Harlequins vs dark eldar or some shit
Were they all individual sales ?
And I eat crow
For warcry yeah for the chaos teams, they never get bundled for mordheim no it was never chaos vs chaos box
fried or boiled

Lmao
I wonder if KT will allow vehicle units in the future.
Like, Sonic Dreadnought vs Berzerker Dreadnought
Terminators I don’t want to see in Killteam either after the clusterfuck that was 8e killteam’s ending
Yeah we’re sticking with fragments of gods for now
The only way I could see a vehicle would be like the Necron shard for this season
At least as an entire team
Not an operative
It’s an NPO boss fight
For the pve gamemode
Miniature Dreadnoughts.
1/2 scale dreadnoughts
invictor suits
Does someone roll for the npc’s
Yeah someone rolls for the NPCs can either be a third player as a GM or the two Allie’s teams
Interesting
The enemies have a “brain” on their sheets so to speak
That pre programs their options as an operative
For example a sniper NPO always targets the lowest health target
And will always reposition away from enemies
But a brawler NPO always closes the distance to the nearest target
Just imagine those servitors from Necromunda, but chaos-y
Slave Ogryns ?
Yes.
Sanctionner Pattern Automata
Funnily enough they’re not even automata
Just make them a bit more Khrone-y by adding swords, saws and guns
The naming convention is just for intimidation I’d assume
ah
Just picture them as Temu Dreadnoughts.
Isn't Automatta also used for the 30k not-Dreadnought that the Admech use ?
Thallax or Ursarax
No
No automata keyword and those are both Ordo reductor units
Which automatically makes them not Cybernetica
What else use Automata then
Does the Ambot
Ambot are the same sort of thing I guess
Hell, somewhat off topic, but you could just do what the Skaven did and put a chaos lord's brain into an Orygns body.
Ambots are also not automata, the true condition for an automata is a cybernetica cortex
A 40k's version of Ghoritch
No
All the 30k and 40k units labeled automata under the legio Cybernetica
Are automata
ah, okay
But an automata must have a Cybernetica cortex
Annoyingly lexi list a lot of Servitor into the robot category
Robots are artificial constructs capable of completing complex tasks automatically. Robots are used by a variety of factions across the Galaxy both past and present.
Among which the Cyber Mastiffs, Sanctionner, Psyber pets...
She's even got a super rare shade of the Cadian purple eyes, she surely is the best of Cadia
do you think orks view cadians as eyeless
No
Is there a lore reason to use comically oversized pauldrons or are scale-style joints a lost technology
To protect their shoulders
Deflecting oncomin fire
That just makes me imagine terminator armor with treads for legs
I know this art isn't accurate to the minis, but with shoulder pads that big and his backpack the only way to shoot his head is from directly infront where he can also shoot back
Or overpressure from explosives
Point being wear your damn helmet
Na, he'd win
I’d say it also comes at the cost of situational awareness but I’m pretty sure auspex has that covered
Aura farming
Intimidation matters
…Against, like, the tau, and that’s about it
Man a majority of factions in warhammer are immune to being intimidated
Nuh uh
Not even the tau
me when sniper drone

Tyranids, Necrons, Orks
Nope, nope and nope
They can be intimidated?
Yes
…How?
By intimidating them
Orks are understandable
Nids dont really feel fear unless its for cinematic effect
Necrons is like uhh when they realise they're probably about to explode
and its only the higher-ups
The nids when sisters of silence
Thats not fear, thats just "ow my head"
Sisters mean jackshit when they get shot by fleshbore beetles

Can't individual Tyr get overwhelmed ? If the Broodmind is broken
Thats not really fear either
thats going animalistic
and attacking things
Out of fear
Yeah individual Tyranids but, not the hivemind
Severing the hivemind is, so far as I can tell, rare
Imagine having a pet gaunt
Nope
It'd kill you
you'd be like those dumbasses that try to own pet tigers lol
Nope
Was literally about to bring up tigers
Everyone breaks eventually
You can intimidate tigers
Yeah and still get mauled
They are wild animals
they arent your pets
Bears too
And elephants
Humans keep a lot of things that will kill you as pets
Yeah because those people know the threat they face
Oh damn my bad it was Lions not Tigers
and arent dumbass media influencers usually
You can intimidate Lions
“They shall know no fear”
Is a lot more catchy then
They actually can feel fear and they have high tolerance to it but their response is muted and modified to not be as much of an issue so they can operate properly”
This was from a marine player in the 40k discord
It’s funny as shit lol
When someone else was complaining about morale tests

Gonna be honest this is the only 40k server I need
Yea every factions has morale tests, proving that every faction has morale
But yeah every faction has a breaking point except for nids and crons basically lol
But even then there’s other issues
tabletop =/= lore
That are similar to morale
I'm in 3 warhammer discord and only 1 is 40k
remove yourself from this channel at once
Lasguns can canonically only shoot 24 inches
Holy shit
Nope. Next 🗣️
Yeah how are necrons going to feel intimidation
They don’t even know what’s in their hands much less whatever they’re fighting
Well the sentient ones can
And they can lose control of the squads under their command
Due to their morale issues
Checkmate

"Yes let's advance... backwards!"
If I ever play the tabletop it’s going to be in tabletop3d (on steam) or with resin printed minis
Actually maybe I should do that
Anyone who complains about krieg having morale should be forced to read vraks
So they get the funny retreat scene
That would solve like one of the three barriers I currently have at playing tabletop
Where they frag comissars lol
I think people forget that the Imperium still has human beings
I can spend 2k on that one tau airship and wait two weeks or I can spend like 60¢ on resin and wait a few hours
Everything can break eventually
The propaganda affects us out of universe too
The Manta?
Don’t print a manta
lol
Your printer will beg for death
we were talking yesterday about how you can kill someone IRL with that model
The Dark Eldar are expert demolitionists I swear

I’ve seen one manta irl
As part of a diorama lol
I’ve never seen one on the table

Nobody wants to risk “That guy” getting it covered in mysterious hand fluid
AoS || 🏴☠️ ||
Fun fact it’s 13 KG heavy according to GW
Hmmm
Actual throat slicer
How are tau armies organized? Like what is it you are playing in tabletop
So ive heard the Marines/Orks thing a lot so that has to be legit, AOS also sounds pretty accurate
You’re playing a Cadre of Tau
This seems accurate
I should print an oversize one and mount a bat’leth to it
No idea what hook (
) they could use for an Undead Coastal army that isn't Vampire Coast
Based on other known leaks
Idk what that first part is referring to. But we just had a few events across most of the games relating to the coasts of AOS
That part like, no kidding AOS rotates between the 3 alliances
Rumor that stormcast are being replaced as poster child
Which is like
Ah, bullshit I see
99% likely to be Bullshit lol
Sharpen the points
Who would even replace them
Y e s.
Thought I was looking at battletwch for a second
Cities of sugmar
LOL
The very idea that something would ever overthrow the ultramarines is heretical
Stormcast are pretty cool tbh
Ngl if GW was truly creatively bankrupt they would have called them Order Warriors
Lmao
Since they’re just order chaos warriors
Next edition is probably the the vanguard refresh
Everything from that 4chan post though is like
Old world ass naming
What leaks?
The SM vs Orks thing, the timeline of release thing
Ohh if it's based on Vangheist and ghostly ships it could be so cool
And then for AoS
Otherwise, maybe some Drowned stuff
The costal theme leaks
Which are limited
AoS runs a much tighter shop in terms of leaks
Stormcast in bikinis
Tbh
Men and women
Could also see it be Vampire Coast, but without Vampires
Stormcast sunbathing kit
Oh that would be weird but cool
There is some guy who everyone has been pogging over who has been wrong like 5 times
Valrak is accurate enough
So I don’t trust AOS leaks
It would make sense imo cause the Vampire in the Vampire Coast were kind of surplus tbh
He was SUPER SUPER wrong about the chuardin and the spear head reveals
Yeah the vampires in Vampire coast aren’t the like
Core themeing of the faction ironically
Death does have some of the best navies in AOS lore wise
Felt very tacked on purely as "Vampire are the lords of the Dead"
GW doing official pinup minis will happen when hell freezes over
with Ossairchs having the best navy out of every faction (besides idoneth)
Idoneth are cheating
Yah
I miss Battle Fantasy having Liches be more important
So it might be vanguard stormcast vs Ossiarch bonerspers
Just get Wētā on that shit man
Gimmie Asmodai boobs
Old Battle Fantasy had quite a lot more Undead not tied to the Vampire (or the Tomb King)
Hey wait how are the tau alive
Hasn’t it been long enough for the imperium to determine that they are both a threat and a rapidly growing problem
No?
jesus christ
💀
Hell there is even a very important Elven liche
The imperium is too slow and disorganized for that shit
Oh yeha AOS has a lot too but it’s mostly out of rebellion and don’t have tabletop rep
Also the Tau aren’t a huge threat
They can defend themselves + bigger problems
Comparatively
They’re like a very dangerous spider sitting in the corner of a closet
That’s building a bigger and bigger web
They're still a very small threat on the priorities list for the IoM
Lithis have chill sentient undead, shysh has a lot of after lives still kicking against nagash, order ghosts are a thing (sorta)
Is chaos the monster under my bed 🧸
Chaos is the giant creature that’s living in the attic and comes out of the closet at night to whisper in your ear
That it’s going to eat you
Ah yes, Freddy the sleep paralysis deamon
Hey I bought those kids fair and square
They have 15 other threats
To take care of
In any case the Tau are the “issue for another day”
Bring them back
For the imperium
And that are way more dangerous
Yea there's mention of it in the latest Soulblight codex, where a Vampire overlord is shouting at their Wight King that his plans aren't going to work and he needs to follow their orders instead and the Wight basically just tells them to shut up, then when the Vampire threatens to ruin his strategy the Wight just decapitates them
They are tiny compared to like

Based
Even the Deldar
Based wight king
Necrons
Nah trust the T'au will take over the galaxy-
The Vior’la counter attack did work
Tbf
Just don’t ask what happened to the expedition team
That was in charge of the counter attack
Still want the Tau in Mechanicus 2

Y'know the funniest part is that the T'au are still less advanced than the Imperium.
They just give their soldiers actual gear instead of a flash light, a vest that 15 other people used and died with, etc
I think the greatest mistake GW did was not expanding Tau territories with every edition to the point that they actually become a galactic power
Would have been awesome to see some Earth caste expedition scrambling to create new tech to level the playing field
lol
They have expanded them bit by bit but it’s not enough
lol
its like
micro-meters
theres generic throwaway ork empires in lore
20+ fucking years
that are larger than them
Of existence lol
No lobotomized slaves to open their doors tho, what a backwards ppl
how are clades organzied? like are they assigned per planet or sector or
I honestly think that the solution is to basically make the whole Imperium equivalent to Nihilus.
The Emperor finally explodes and the Imperium is shattered as a result.
The T'au weren't a threat before.
But to say
A warlord state with only 5 planets?
Now they are THE threat
Never
🫡
IT WOULD BE SO INTERESTING TO SHATTER THE IMPERIUM
Cadres are organized into contingents, which consist of 3-6 cadres these contingents are temporarily assigned to worlds based on the needs of the tau empire
Cadres are permeant organizational bodies
While contingents are not and are broken/reshaped

As needed
LET THE STATUS QUO CHANGE
There can be multiple contingents per world
last time they did we lost psykers
Dark heresy is set in nihlus
The T'au empire is nowhere near Nihilus right
It’s not
Well it's more that it's 40k
BF, AoS and BB have had some status quo be broken and changed
Not really
Damn that would've been a prime opportunity to make them a threat
And AoS’s overall status quo has not changed
Like the Imperium is absolutely fucked there
Which is all of the grand alliances being about equal and fluctuating in strength
With them gaining and losing territory ect.
It would make sense that more would fall/accept the Greater Good
The Cities established a buttload of new holdings
A true status quo shift would be shit like Nagash permanently dying and grand alliance death shattering between the mortarchs
Damn I should really set up a campaign using that
Yeah but it’s not such a huge one that Order is so extremely
Dominant above the others
Considering the vermindoom happened
Chaos is currently the biggest scariest grand order
for now
But yeah, I feel like T'au should expand into Nihilus

Yea but it means that Cities of Sigmar went from hiding behind their walls from a post apocalyptic world to actively establishing new cities and reclaiming lost lands
Sure there's a lot of failures, but like it's a change
Their form of FTL would also be beneficial.
Since if I remember it's basically them just jumping in and out of the warp constantly right?
Yeah, but if that counts as a status quo shift then 40k has had them as well
What Laati is stating is a way bigger one
Which is unlikely in a GW system is my point
Fair
It would be so cool though

I’ve read AoS lore since 1e I’m going to make you play 1e AoS before the rule changes
We might see the status quo change when Malerion get out of his mom/man cave
This is how T'au FTL works right?
Or is my memory wrong
Malerion will likely make Order on top until GW decides to shift the scales again
Tbh
Sorta like with the lifequake
Dilara is a hat cat
A cat
In a hat
Or idoneth becoming more active
Wild chaos rambling.
Dilara irl
Yes
Malerion will be Destruction
Yeah so the T'au should be all over Nihilus
Cacti, if you’re correct I’ll buy you malerion/j
Wait and see Daughters of Khaine will become 3 subfactions wearing an overcoat like the Drukhari
I doubt it personally unless they change the name
But if that happens that would be funny
It will be Daughters of Khaine, Sons of Malerion and Children of Morai Heg.
With Morathi, Malerion and Krethusa as the three heads
Who work together while also trying to actively undermine eachother
One big shitty family
Call them the Godspawn Coven or some shit
There you go
GW pay me £40k and we'll call it a day
God is they give CoS Cogforts
This is unrelated to anything
I just find this picture funny
What would this count as rules wise
Nah, they’ve got a completely different profile and role
Actually
I must ask
What is like
The closest 40k tabletop game to something like DnD
Where you make a long campaign/story
And have people play it
The closest to DnD in terms of system
And also the ability to make a long campaign and story
And also good for newbies
Who don't know what a space marine is

What do you mean in terms of system, like with how the dice work?
Yeah
All of the FFG ttrpgs or cubicle 7 ttrpgs
Wrath and glory def the easiest
Of the bunch of reach people
Or soulbound for AoS
The FFG's are all d100s, rather than d20 based
Eh should be fine. Just gotta read and figure out what the fuck I'm doing
Wrath and Glory is d6 based
WANG is relatively simple I think
What I was also meaning is like what kindof campaign do you want
Long, narrative based
But with room to have different skills and abilities. Like persuading somebody to stand down
As an example
Like if you want to play as Space Marines you can do Deathwatch, if you want to be Inquisitorial warband you use Dark Heresy, if you want more power and adventure you go Rogue Trader, if you want Chaos you go Black Crusade etc
Yeah I was thinking either Rogue Trader or Dark Heresy
Those work well
I think Dark Heresy is just fine, you get someone telling the group what to do so there's some goals and aims
Actually
That sounds fine
I'd say Dark Heresy is probably easier for new players
Dark heresy or imperium maladictum
The biggest problem I have with DnD is how it takes two hours to do like one minor battle

Is the best system for new players for d100 40k stuff
the sooner you get the hell away from d20 based systems the better you'll feel, growing up on d20 and finally playing a pbta game was like realizing i'd been living with arsenic poisoning my entire life
Also am I required to buy minis for Dark Heresy
Like do I need to delve into
Plastic crack
the icosahedron is a vile demon of filth
Or can I just like have dice or something represent players and enemies
No
Nah, I've never played with minis
Yes
You don't need models for Dark Heresy
Oh thank god
Yeah see
That's what I am terrified of
Thank god
You can do it all theatre of the mind
D20 is fine but if you're so DnD brained you need to convert everything into the DnD system it's a problem
yeah i mean in general just get away from dnd, i personally have a hangup with the icosahedron but it's mostly me
How to play cyberpunk 2077 in DND gave me a stroke
even dnd is like, fine if you want to run dnd specifically
Dnd is like perfectly inoffensive
Tbh
Which edition is the best for Dark Heresy
but if you want to run anything other than specifically dnd, look for something closer to what you want to run
Both are good
1e and 2e are both good but 2e is streamlined to play smoother
A bit less crunch
most people start with dnd, no shame in it, it's just got the market share
So 2e got it
But sometimes less options are good for new players
Good for me too

I'm gonna try DMing for the first time
oh also do mine combat takes a bit long in dark heresy
Maybe I should do a short campaign first
oh shit good luck
Due to limbs
Run a one shot
But good luck DMing
Yeah I should.
I find it super fun personally
There's plenty of premade quick short campaigns out there, some are pretty good even
How the fuck do one shots work
Just like a scenario where four characters go through a dungeon or something rifht
game you can run in a single session
A game you can run in one session
There’s a very good dark heresy one shot I found
If you would like
Yeah sure
if you're building from scratch, a mystery (murder optional) is a fun thing to do

for a one shot, i mean
True
I need to introduce basic concepts
Lile
Space marines
And shit
Anyways
Yes I know Reddit
But this dudes one shot they made is solid
You don’t need space marines tbf
Yeah I know. Just generally trying to introduce them to like the basics of 40k lore as well
Like wtf a hive is
Might want to write something around that specifically then
True
You won't normally cover Space Marines in Dark Heresy, it usually starts out much smaller scale
