Half true, since our Arbites precinct considers themselves failures for being unable to maintain Atoma Tithes...
Oh yeah dude that scene it peak
damn
that ending was nice
especially where that marine has to break his oath
he was probably seconds from getting impaled by the custodian lol
oh i see the theme now
first ep tithe is the gene seed, second is the psykers, third is collection duty
The third is so fucked up
Omfg there was a kroot book recently wasn’t there
There is, it slims down the book by a bit, BUT it does cover all the major things and it’s really well done plus all the audio is directly taken from the audiobook.
im watching it rn
The visuals are a little hard to look at but it's still good
They get better
for some reason, I also watched patience of iron from the blood angels origins

that left me scarred
Someone said the visuals are meant to represent Grimaldus state of mind and how he sees things black and white and then evolves but idk if that’s just someone overanalysing shit
Carrying the imperium on your back takes a toll on a man
carrying all the maths he has to do to figure out how many black templars are actually alive more like

its probably in the millions
Mf needs to employ an accountant just to keep track of the 285827 crusades
grimaldus kinda sounds like that actor from 300, the one spartan that survives
i forgot his name
this guy
I can’t remember who the narrator is tbh
If it's taken from the audiobook it's Jonathan Keeble
Yes it is
Well apart from the female voices but I don’t think the female narrator was credited
Nightmare fuel
wow im half an hour into the helsreach movie
so far its been great
the voice acting is superb
and the animation is nice too
also grimaldus being annoyed the whole time he has to defend a city is funny af
especially since hes walking around with a skull for a helmet
Are there any in-universe connection between Necrons and Ancient Egypt, or it just that Necrons coincidentally look like they are inspired by Ancient Egypt?
None
They're just inspired
Like how Thousand Sons are also inspired by ancient egypt as well
Inspired
Egypt -> Tomb King -> Necron
There's an implication that the Necrons inspired the Ancient Egyptians but it's not confirmed, there's lore about the Triarch Praetorians that mentions they didn't enter into hibernation with the rest of the Necrons and that some of them in an effort to keep Necrontyr culture alive would disguise themselves as gods and spread their culture to primitive worlds.
Something that the Eldar tried to stop them doing
“Ah fuck the robots are cosplaying again”
No way, New Jersey planet
Question on the necrons: is their necrodermis capable of infecting nearby equipment/people?
No
It does not spread
Darmn
Mindshackle scarabs can infect people though
Ngl thought it'd be like Vex Milk
The what now?
Destiny 2 race, the vex basically are microorganisms that reside in "Vex Milk", which is a milky-looking substance that can turn things touching it into vex-usable metal
Nothing stopping it from being able to
like, the advantage with necrons is their tech is so advanced you can literally just make it do what it wants
when they got a hologram table that can blow up any planet in the galaxy its kinda no bars at that point

Kinda wish they explored it more, like with DoW 1's pariahs
Honestly them and the orks probably the only factions where any technology can literally make sense because bullshit and you can get away with just hand waving an explanation
Also
976.M41 THE FEAST OF STEEL
The Sautekh Dynasty expands into Tau space and invades the Kroot-held world of Caroch. Though the Kroot win the first engagements, their attempt to dine upon the living metal of their victims has hideous results as a nano-scarab plague sweeps through their ranks.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR GIMME ACTUAL PARIAH MODELS, GW
Hi! Is it cannon that Gazgkull Thraka had Yarick go at one time ?(saw a video on it)
Would be really cool, because "Xenos humans" as a whole isnt a very well explored part of 40k
Ey yo?
🤨 🏳️🌈
oh wait whoops
?
Finally, true love in my 40k
Sebastian Yarrick (known as The Old Man by the people of Armageddon[3] and as Old Bale Eye by the Orks[6]) is an Imperial Guard Commissar famous for his participation in the Second and Third Wars for Armageddon, in which he twice fought against the Ork forces of Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka. His leadership and bravery during these conflic...
In 944.M41, three years after the end of the Second War, Yarrick formally came out of retirement and requested a military expedition to thoroughly cleanse the surrounding worlds of Ork raiders, his particular goal being to hunt down Ghazghkull. One such planet, Golgotha, was to be where this purge would end for the Imperials in a crushing defeat by the Ork defences.
Yarrick's personal Baneblade, the Fortress of Arrogance was abandoned[2] and Yarrick himself was captured by Ghazghkull. After grueling torture and forced labor with other captured Humans, Yarrick led a slave revolt aboard Ghazghkull's Space Hulk. However the uprising failed, and Yarrick once again found himself in Greenskin captivity. Yarrick was then brought before Ghazghkull much more, and much to the Commissar's surprise the Warboss gave him a shuttle and let him go. Ghazghkull stated that good enemies were hard to come by and felt that the Warboss' planned re-invasion of Armageddon would be much more fun with Yarrick on the other side.
Here it is
and the excerpt from the actual book chapter if you wanna take a look at it

im reading the prophet or war book atm
Ghazgull loves Yarrick and will avenge him by killing Angron
i got to the part where they interogate makari about gazgkull
Yeah that book is really good for that stuff but requires some context
Then Ghaz will come back to Yarrick's body and give him a knightly kiss on the lips
Then he'll revive as an ork
how lovely
This is Shrek 40k
reading either Ghaz or Yarrick's lexi should catch you up with most of the context
thanks!
Amazing honestly
You’s my best enemy
im new to wh40k overall, played Dawn Of War when I was little, like 8, then it came back like a truck and hit me on the back of my head
couldnt let it go afterwards
DoW is a lot of peoples intro into 40k so thats very normal lol
I mean the game was cool for a 8 year old
DoW? I dont think its really connected to any books that I know of
No like spoilers as a joke lol
Oh lmao
😩
i see
Good timing to get back in then
At last, back to war! Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV officially revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025!
Battle for planet Kronus as Warhammer 40,000's ultimate real time strategy game returns, featuring the largest campaign ever with four distinct factions battling it out in epic, brutal large-scale conflicts.
Dawn of War IV retur...
NO F'KING WAY
Yeah, not done by Relic but by the guys that did Iron Harvest
Just announced at Gamescom
^
Coincidentally like two days or something ago
IH devs are distinctly inspired by relic I believe?
Inspired by company of heroes yeah
Especially for iron harvest
TELL ME ITS THE RTS PLS
Ye
I know they're really taking a note out of DoW 1 and making sure its mostly that game, but Iron Harvest apparently also has CoH vibes so wouldnt be surprised
Watch the end of the traielr
Don't worry it's actually base building
^
Not the half as dawn of war 3 base building or the less building centered one of two
Even though dawn of war 2 was good for what it was
i think im gonna get naughty naughty on this trailer
🤨
its been, 16 years man, i missed this so much
It's been 22 years since dawn of war 1
16 years since i played it
God Im old
i played the titles, nothing compared to DoW 1
Eternal Crusade has a special place in my hearth
I havent heard of EC in a bit
I remember being a little interested in that, but the bad publicity ultimately made stay away
You seen SM2 yet?
sm2?
Space Marine 2
But yeah it's a nice time for 40k games
Indeed iit is brother
40k is eating really good atm, hope that FS goes back to fantasy or AoS if they keep to GW ip
AOS needs a good game
who is FS?
Fat shark, studio that developed darkide
You know the game this server is made for
It still needs to get away from the mobile game/discount card games though, not that they've ever made an impact on the general gaming sphere
Aye
Still remain that 40k is eating really good
Of course
Darktide/Vermintide, SM2, Total Warhammer games, RT, and now (hopefully) DoW 4
Yep with 40k catapulting into more mainstream popularity they are getting the good game attention
Might have in a while a Total War 40k
It's still somewhat niche, it's more to the level of DnD I'd say
I mean that's just normal
It's just one of those cool things certain people like and are quite popular basically now
If FS was to make a new tide game set in an Ip that it's held by GW (or their own spin), what would you want them to do
Soul bound aos tide
If their own Ip, avatars of various Pantheon vs a tide of Old Gods
So what would be the tide ?
Destruction or Undeath ?
Destruction, chaos, and undead
And the characters can come from destruction, death, and order
I'd say that's quite unrealistic, more likely to remain on 1 tide with logical allies
Soul bound parties travel the realms so they can fight a lot of enemies from destruction, death and chaos
But i supposed sticking to one order is good
And easier
Battle Fantasy I would love to see 2 possibilities:
- Deadfleet: member of the Grand Alliance vs Dreadfleet
- Lizardmen: Chaos Chosen vs Lizardmen Temple cities
It's more to do about the Dev work and stuff
Too slow plant i already said it would be easier
Likewise here it's unrealistic that we would see Necron, GSC....
But seriously aos tide would be nice soul bound offers the best character selection
Hedge used to vibe with Dreadtide
Because you can get from three grand alliancesinstead of just one
He does
Im glad
Still have contact with him
100% believe this
It was a bit worse tbf, but yeah, got a stern DM from him and was muted for a couple days
I fear that it may end up feeling to eclectic, and not organic enough if for example you have an Orruck and a Dwarf in the same party
Yeah but it would be fun i trust fs capabilities for interactions
And just sticking to order just make it boring
It would be just like fantasy again but now more high fantasy
I want to play something else besides elf dwarf human
Sons of Behemat
Sons of Bahamut
?
That would be the giants sob sons of behamat
Soul bound I feel would be nice to have for an Owlcat game
Very true
Bahamut is the dragon from Dnd iirc, so which is it, Behemat or Behamat
Behemat
I love them but, if they do that they would need to allow you to have multiple starts and basically make multiple different characters choices for every grand alliance
Just playing soulbound crpg where you can only start as a human would be very
Not fun
I mean, they could just add race customization options on top, it IS a tabletop RPG with that capability after all
Oh but the actual starts for each campaign, right right
Iirc their Pathfinder game had a much bigger freedom of character creation
Quoting horus heresy yumejoshi #1 (@haichogoris)
︀
every Primarch had their own dedicated traumadump marine tbh it was really funny
Pathfinder 1e
Yeah it had a different races and stuff but, the thing is with soulbound taking the setting in mind each character would have to have a unique starting place because they can't just throw them on like you guys start in this place
P1E is... interesting
Could have the start happen after the soul bound has become active and your character meet an important npc they sought out
Kinda like DoS2 did
I can see that working
Would be cool for the characters to go back to places where the player character would've originated and that would add more context and dialogue to that part of the story
That game makes my brain hurt. I am big dumb boy I wanna hit people hard not worry about armor stats and terrain ;_; my group cannot stand how many blunders I make
We're in arks now
Divinity original sin 2 ye?
Yes
Unless you're absolutely trying to min-maw to hell it's very much prone for the happy go lucky
Only the 2 armour types of armour matter tbh
I always end up forgetting about armor and wasting my turn because my effects don't proc unless armor is gone
Yup, compared to most crpg it's really not a complicated system.
I played bg3 before this
I ended up accidentally discovering a super busted build by duel wielding staffs and spamming magic missile
You can offhand staves in bg3 ?
you need that one feat i think
It’s less complicated but ends up having a lot more tactical depth and inter character synergy beyond buffs due to this
Ground hazards my beloved
Yes I would like to boil the blood on the ground into a cloud then electrify it
Lol with the way my friend build his character the whole fighting area gets filled with fire in like 3 turns
Might try a dual staff Monk run then
Yes, that was something I missed in bg3
Which I guess is fair as it's not the goal of the game to make a new system
Yeah with the duel wilder feat you get the one staff that add lightning orbs on hit then you get the one that gives you a bunch of free spells and choose lightning. Then every missile adds lightning orbs, along with some other items that illuminate and reverberate.
Is it an exaggeration if I believe that IoM produces a million Le-Man Russ tanks per week?
Would possibly be undervalued
A day? They probably produces a million Lasguns every minute
Probably lose as many per day too
yeah
IoM is operating at an insane scale and most of it's million worlds are dedicated to producing munitions for the endless war, it has no true economy just a vast production line for everything needed to fight
the tithe goes to one of 2 places, to terra to keep the planet "alive" or to one of the uncountable fronts the imperium is fighting in
so a million medium tanks a day is more than reasonable given its like a few 1000 worlds making them
if not far more
Okay, so I dont get why that piece of fan lore is so prevalent in these kinds of memes, whats so wrong about it exactly?
Food Tithe often goes to Forgeworlds as they're unable to produce food there
I guess it's just making fun of the Tau for being such a young species
||which imo is dumb, the way the Tau are standing their ground is nothing short of admirable for such a young species||
Ah I see I see
its making fun of how naive the tau where early on
Kind dumb now that I think about it because couldnt we say the same for IoM and necron tech?
the imperium and other major factions wizened them up quick
most people in the imperium couldnt even turn on a microwave without calling it heresy
Lmao true
im sure even trying to think about necron tech would given them an aneurism in the brain
Probably most of the "magic" crypteks can do on a dime
yup
I really would love a story of a combat between a Cryptek and a Jokaero, maybe from the point of view of the Cryptek or nearby Tech Priests
the cryptek would be like "ah finally, a simian with an actual working brain"
"Strange, where have I seen that sort of tech before"
Would a cryptek like our friend, Jokaero?
Know what could be kinda cool? If pink horrors could combine together to make something like a big pink chaos spawn or something
Like the indecision to call youu
Okay listen
We've all heard about like
Star Wars Empire or Republic vs 40k Imperium
And obviously in a direct battle, Star Wars would generally lose
But like
I think people forget that like
The Imperium relies on Warp Travel
Which is unreliable at best
But Star Wars travel is generally consistent and quick
Which makes me wonder how would they fight Star Wars fleets if they can just
Appear near a planet
Bomb it
Disappear
In the time it takes for an Imperium fleet to appear
Like Star Wars FTL is much faster than the Imperium or even Star Trek
And I feel like people keep forgetting that when they do the jerk off power scaling fest.
That is arguably a gigantic advantage they have over the Imperium
LMFAO
Y'know honestly the T'au probably discover shit like this all of the time
Sure it would be a shock for like a soldier finding out
probably
But I generally think any Ethereal would be like
"Oh... another piece of technology thousands of years older than us. What's new?"

I think it was less shock of how young they are
But more shock of like
"This machine is like 2000 years old and yet it's so hateful and wants to kill me."
Speaking of cats.
...
Gyrinx would be cool pets
Although I would be terrified of angering one
"No you cannot have a meal now. You've already had dinner."
Gyrinx casts flame blast
Probably why only Eldar, Rogue Traders, and Inquistors own one
Imagine all the shit cats do
but with psyker powers
at least you can have a casual convo with one
You just hear in your mind
"I want pets hooman. Give me one now"
it was the pilot not the tech that spooked the commander btw
the dude inside had been fighting for longer than the tau had been a space fairing empire
Yeah somebody being alive that long would freak people out
Especially if they
Really
Want you dead
yup
From the bottom of your heart
"Oh wise one, who has been alive for hundreds of years. Please give me your wisdom."
iirc the SM inside was little more than a head and torso as well
I wonder if the imperium would try to capture and adapt the technology, or would Chaos get involved because Hyperdrives ruin the fun of warp travel.
The Imperium almost never innovates so it would get destroyed as heretical tech so
also navigator houses would throw a fit and sabotage it
Aren't Blaster technically Plasma weapons ?
Nurgle himself versus Mr. Clean, who wins?
from star wars? yeah blasters would be plasma weapons
super heated gas
well it's weird
starwars hyperspace travel requires hyperspace routes to be mapped ahead of time, which in a sudden vs scenario maybe isnt great for the starwars universe on the attack
especially since thered be no existing routes to copy
Mr. Clean might solo all the chaos gods together honestly
There's also the fact there are still guns made in star wars, despite the advantages of blasters.
Ah nvm then
Maybe a home turf advantage if the Imperium somehow invaded (and the warp is still a factor) but that's about
a scenario where a lost imperial fleet materialises out of the warp in starwars could be a fun one off tbf
Also they might be weaker than Lasguns?
There is an entire fanfic video series about that
It's pretty cool
Basically an imperial fleet gets lost and appears in the middle of the clone wars era

It's actually pretty cool
I think I watched part of that.
@gaunt lily https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzgscHwzoNQqL9m9zp9puZK129MN42h2c&si=0JIeFUkR81LgexDU
The only part that I wish is that he made an actual text version
They had a chaos sorcerer turn up to help the Jedi or something,.
Khayon
The one from the Black Legion?
The very same
Apparently one of the ships was transporting him
Because the books are told while he was imprisoned by the Imperium
Oh hey that's neat
Makes sense
If you wanna kill a Jedi. It's gotta be in one shot

It's found in a the star wars roleplaying source book, from 2019.
@nocturne crest also the fanfic basically made it so that the Force is actually just
The warp but much calmer
And much less uhhh
Y'know.

Evil.
Force Users are basically Psykers
Except they can actually do more since they don't get daemons wanting them
That's neat.
...what
That's the Star Wars' attempt/version of a bolter
Is the magazine on the fucking side
Is that the fucking magazine
The 8 bullets nearby
On the side
Or is it on top?
It might be the side.
It's got a box magazine
Ah..
Yeah that's
Stupid looking
Funny though
Well, I wonder if it's borrowing that thing people do with shotguns or lever actions and have spare bullets on the side.
I think my favorite part about the 40k bolter. On a purely aesthetic level.
Is how it's proportioned like a weapon meant for giants. Like no matter if you're a stickler for realism or not.
You can admit that the Bolter looks like it'd be a weapon that shoots mini missiles
True
Still though looks more like a design for a pistol
Or an smg

Yeah this gun design ain't it chief
I ain't even judging off of realism or anything pretentious.
Just on how cool it looks
And it doesn't look cool
I wonder if it uses that early gun technology of having stripper clips.
Exactly.
Yeah you could be righr
The four bullets are on a clip
...
At least they don't use riveted armor for the tanks and shit
Star wars has that over 40k
But in exchange, they have to use stripper clips
They have a .48 as a calibre pistols in star wars
Means .45 could still be used in star wars...
So do they have part where the Jedi fight daemons?
i love when people try to make detailed lore about movie props that were assembled out of scrap metal
so in one of the levels hadron mentions rune priests, what rune priests? Arent those a space wolves thing?
Yes, but it’s also a rank in the mechanicus
From really really old lore
Like late 1e or early 2e lore
oh
i have been struggling for days to conceptualize the Psyker equivalent to a Warframe
it feels heretical for a Psyker to work a Space Marine like a puppet
but what about something akin to a Knight Pentient from Diablo
The emperor a heretic then!!
Unless I just repeated meme lore then I accept firing squad
I'm not sure if the emperor fully possessed guilliman or just healed him
those already given the death penalty, hooked up to armor fueled by their blood, controlled by psykers
Dude that looks sick
Looks like Pyramid head swore them self to Khorne and swapped out the machete with a mace.
And also put on a suit of power armor
it's so heavily WH40k coded without actually being from 40k
I mean why do you think they're so feared
Even like the "normal" ones can probably crush your head like a tin can
If Space Marines still have their balls. A Psyker can probably do testicular torsion in an instant
I mean that's effective
But how do you put the fear of the warp in a guy?
Casting testicular torsion

same company so that makes sense
Looks more AoS to me
Tbh
Mostly due to the like, style of trim I guess?
It lines up more with the AoS chaos warriors/khornates then it does 40k
40k has more like... technical shit in it?
Like wires
Obviously scifi bullshit even on Chaos dudes
Etc.
Yeah
Daemon/possesed
ah yup, there's Erzebet
shes got cultish energy
Cultist
Would be a corrupted Sister of Battle, has a similar haircut.
Oh wait, according to the Ecchelisarchy, corrupted sisters don't exist

Clearly they've never lied.
Corrupted sister of battle? Impossible.
i dont enjoy the sisters of battle
they seem kinda bland
also your entire thing being just zeal is kinda meh
It kinda is? I think they're kinda unique in aesthetic at least
thats all they got though
I also feel like the aesthetic isnt anything special
sisters of silence I enjoy more as my femlegion
they got lot of cool stuff going on
transporting the black ships, vow of silence, interesting aesthetic, being anti psyker blanks , emperors confidantes once upon a time, paired with custodians
Generally like the idea
Needs more development
They have more potential compared to SMs
Since they're human and not always
"SUPER SERIOUS SOLDIER MAN"
Sure they still have an extreme amount of zeal that would make a black templar reconsider their behavior
But there's more you can do with that than what GW did
eh
Also black is my favorite color
i dont like how they get superpowers from blind faith as a rule

i like my mute sisters better
I don't play the tabletop so I wouldn't know
I have thought about it but
A) Nowhere nearby to play 40k.
B) No idea where to look
C) Classic introverted and somewhat antisocial
D) Looks expensive
they've had an invuln save since their introduction
which represents their like
"faith" lol
also, its kinda random that they are the militant arm of the ordo hereticus, i mean it makes sense, but im probably missing some connection
Ordo hereticus friends with ecclisarchy
therfore they're often seen as Hereticus's armored fist
"I AIN'T FUCKING DYING WITHOUT TAKING YOU WITH ME."
but most invuln saves are like, psychic shield, refractor field, bionics, really tough armor, being hard as shit to hit
ect.
sisters of silence are so dope though, and they got that elite vibe going for them too
SoB is literally just faith manifest
One of these things are not like the other

Still makes sense but it is funny
"Bro just hit him."
"I FUCKING CAN'T HE'S TOO FAST!"
Harlequins 3++ invuln save
also, I feel like if they can give sisters of battle power armor, they can probably spread it around a lil bit more
good
SoB have a pretty limited recruitment pool
SoBs are rarer.
Also gotta give the power armor to the big dick sphess marinez
female, highly fit for combat, some level of psychopathy the schola solves this, and highly religous
they have by far the most requirements of the "normal" schola grads
sisters of silence gotta be rarer
gotta be all that and a blank on top of it
Equivalent to an engineering degree atp

I guess sisters of silence are one of those groups that were closer to the emperor and dont blindly worship him?
I mean tbf they literally see him as like
A guy convulsing
yeah, though they kind of got abandoned by the Imperial Household and have only recently risen back to prominance
the Imperial household in 40k is their own little microcosm of culture and traditions
which is pretty fun
they did seem kinda absent
They pretty much got left out to dry
because the custodes were too busy being sad/angry
and the custodes seemed utterly misused until indomitus came along
and the tech guilds did not want to get involved in Imperial politics
and by misused I mean they were just left on terra
Tbf that's partially because they didn't want to go out
Ultra depression
guilliman at least got them some of them to go out and be useful, put all that skill to use
since you know, the imperiums ending
but officialy the custodes never sanctioned any activity outside of the palace
or terra
up till the great rift fucking exploded open
lol
I feel like custodians can get away with like, expanding their presence to like..the moon you know
they can probably handle the moon and terra
Like I said
Ultra depression
and the Selenar Genecults
which were fully integrated into the imperial household by then
They were just depressed
oh the sisters of silence managed the moon?
yeah
see
they have a fortress
i can appreciate that
it got abandoned as the ecclisarchy decided to crack down on them
but it was quickly refurbished
once the SoS were recalled
and is now a functioning fortress again where new SoS are trained, ect. ect.
thats why you need a secret fortress like the one the grey knights have on titan
Man the SoS got fucked over so badly
well the imperial household was ultimately a public body
if the Custodes or the variety of other groups within it
had tried to intervene they could have stopped
but the whole imperial household was kind of fucked up
from the Emperor dying
The Imperial Palace is literally like the size of a continent
though I'm sure a solid chunk of them were happy
lol
But some SoS stuck around in the Imperial Palace and such
its just a majority were scattered across the imperium
I'm pretty sure the palace has at least 25 different fortresses within its depths
Among other things
the sos in the tithes episode is pretty cool
Funnily enough the Old 100 are not part of the Imperial Household
she seems blessed with common sense
It takes actual... I forgot if it was months or years.
To do like a single lap across the Imperial Palace
the old 100 and chosen regiments not being the part of the Imperial household is funny
Yeah, like I said, I think there might be fortresses within it tbh

I think theres a slum around one of the gates too, called the pilgrims city or something, where all the people waiting in line to see the emprah basically built a slum
because you know, they have to wait
Average line to a Disneyland ride

Jokes aside, it's this type of ridiculous lore that makes 40k great
I can imagine people making businesses specifically catering to the line
Restaurants, paying people to stand in your place, etc.
Not betting, but I think it would be extremely funny if Ferrus somehow came back first
Russ for loyalist
Somehow
I think after Russ there’s gona be a lull for loyalist
Until GW figures out how tf they’re gona milk more cash
lol
Maybe Chaos?
Nah
We’re done with god aligned chaos primarchs
Which is why I think they’re pumping the breaks
I know a lot of women would be happy if Konrad came back alive
...
I don't know why so many women like Konrad

I liked guilliman returns because hes like mentioned or involved in all the storylines, like his return has a signifcant impact across the imperium, but i feel like the lions was kinda limp in hindsight ? like hes just united the fallen back with the dark angels and thats about it?
I'm genuinely be serious why the fuck are so many girls like
"I can fix him"
Bro you cannot fix SHIT
you need to meet more girls
also I guess konrad has like strange sense of self awareness
To be fair, very few women play warhammer
...and the ones that do are mostly tyranid players
yeah but the 'innocent' fallen he redeems, which is still a plus
but apart from that, the lion doesnt exactly seem like big beacon of hope across the imperium like guilliman, which is strange, because lion is a fairly competent primarch
and hes a military commander type too
The Lion isn't a big beacon of hope
tbf
he's a small one trying not to be smothered out by darkness
he's in the ass end of nihlus
Imperium Nihlus is a true shithole
well, he ought to go get some wins like a sledgehammer then

there's hope in the places he does this
also if he gets to guilliman. I think he'd might be happy just for somebody to help on the sheer load that is ruling the imperium
it is true hes rather ..inconveniently located atm
anyways I would like more stuff
but Lion is very intentionally not a beacon of hope
We need more stuff about Nihilus
The lion books needs a sequal
he's an ember in the night
Please black library I'm begging you
well , unlike guillimans return story, which is bang in the middle of huge important events with important folk , the lions returns starts with his esoteric walk through a forest
Lion should go brutally beat someone to death with a dead body
like he did in the Black books
and then maybe eat the body
truly
a shining beacon of hope
seriously though, a part of me is sad that the Lion mellowed out
i cant wait for russ's return to just be about his dreams of walking across the tundra guided by a spiritual wolf
also lion is pretty solid strategist too
like he can definitely help guilliman
and make big plans like indomitus crusade
probably not as good
but he can also probably beat up more folk
Lion's strategic coordination of the dark angels and the sucessors that followed them into Nihlus in nihlus is useful
but again Nihlus sucks
communication sucks ass in Nihlus
warp travel sucks in nihlus
the fact primaris are even in nihlus is due to time dilation from the warp corruption seeping in
well, dark angels arent also blessed with functioning eyeballs like ultramarines, they are paranoid and have the whole fallen shit and they had that whole bit about the lion firing on them
wait so people from the future are
there
??
don't think about it too hard
Guillimans reinforcment fleets
are from the future
technically
????

what
Guilliman traveling into Nihlus has not occured yet
in sanctus
it has occured in nihlus due to how fucked up it is
from warp energy
average space travel day.
I was not joking
also sounds like we need more nihilus content
morrow going " first time?"
but guilliman has done his round trip
from sanctus to nihlus in nihlus
but he hasn't gone into nihlus in sanctus yet
also we need canon cinematic with lion, we got guillimans chubby face
you can tell he grew up eating french pastry
lol
are triarch praetorians the most elite necron soldier
toss up between Lychguard and triarch praetorians yeah. Or personal bodyguards
do flayed ones and destroyer cult necrons get their consciousness returned to the storage vault thingie
when they die
No I don't think so since that would risk their "Illness" spreading
I wonder if destroyer cult necrons also hate flayed ones
well that's why the Necrons believe
probably do, destroyer cult seem more rational in comparison
They're not as insane but still insane
Even destroyers would avoid flayer ones if possible
but they dont attack each other (iirc) since destroyers only care about killing living things
ye
destroyers have leaders too
and heirarchy
oh damn
necrons warriors are mute
yeah
i didnt know that, i just thought they had limited mental capacity
they do also
I'd have to find it but I'm pretty sure their consciousness aren't "gone" per say just like
turned off?
yeah
its locked up
its why warriors can suffer from disphorek
the mind still exists
apparently the only verbal noise they make is horrific ear splitting scream when they die

and not always
istg I remember a passage about a lord granting a warrior consciousness but I could be wrong
brain drain
Necron pariahs aren’t real
But yeah
Blanks don’t effect them since crons literally don’t have souls
that's what your therapist tells you
aren't immortals like the size of an ogryn
In theory why not
But no rules for it yet as we haven't got an update to RT (not Owlcat) since a very long time
(2014)
they are fully sentient so
probably
do they have like
programming overrides or something built into em
I mean yeah but
They would have to hide it's presence to the mechanicus
And kin the normal dwarfs seem to be smart enough to say why not join this human in his crew
They could probably get away from the mechanicus on that issue by just saying “the Warrant lets me do it”
can? yes. should? probably not
They are programmed to be essentially just living people.
disgusting.
also can get the urge to lead or rise up in ranks like organics do
give me a necron anyday
i think we can all related to a soulless being with upper back issues
that's extremely dodgy, the mechanicus is a parallel organization to the empire, not fully integrated, and sometimes members might decide they're not bound by specific imperial laws, or that their own laws take precedent
but that's the kinda line rogue traders like to walk anyway
I did say probably
going "fuck it, we ball!" and then suffering terrible consequences is an extremely rogue trader thing to do
More likely that some Tech Priests would either refuse service or try to kill the Rogue Trader at some point
wrt space marine sizes: they aren't actually that tall
primaris more so, but vanilla not so much
Firstborn SM miniatures are quite small, more so when compared to the IG
wrt warp travel sometimes causing time travel: it's actually not that easy to detect when this happens, since FTL communication also gets distorted through the warp, and imperial time keeping is centralized on terra
if you arrive somewhere and records show that you arrived at your destination before you left, that could just be an unusually speedy but conventional warp transit combined with the arrival site having the wrong imperial date and no way to check it
Old Miniatures are just the sizes of IG ones
lore is space marines are 7-8 feet tall, but most depictions are on the low end of 7
when they get an actual scale rather than like a propaganda piece i mean
propaganda vs scale reference
space marine height has even been given as about 6'6 out of armour, which is very funny to me because that's how tall i am
though the idea that power armour can add a lot to your height is pretty silly, unless it's high heeled PA or it's got armoured platform boots
I mean it does have armored platform boots
yeah but those things gotta be fuckin stilts if they're adding more than like 2 inches
el clasico
Even the crew on your ship that is responsible for the repairs would probably try to get any information they have on the weird automaton you have
Because they see this thing just walking around without supervision
Their immediately going to report it to you or to an outsider
yeah it probably wouldn't be great for morale
You'd have to do a lot of lying ye
Just to make sure that an iron kin doesn't get discovered on your ship
could probably sneak one under the radar by adding a punch card slot and making a deal with a crooked explorator though
Yeah but let's be honest like everytime you meet a red roobie runt better configure that guy into a smart fridge lest the entire crew gets positioned to the garbage shoot
hey it's been working out for ur-025
That is true
are tempestus aquilons schola trained
yes
ur-025 does have a slightly similar design aesthetic to kin technology
i wonder if that's intentional
and are they their own regiment or are they just a type of scion that can fly
it is
oh, well ok then
its important to remember his look is literally a mechanicus robot
that isnt how he actually looks
Sub-regiment of Scions that do drop operations
its not even flying, its just parachuting in
Grav chutes like the Elysian
kastellan robots are a bit more, idk, shaped?
(Which Imo should make it possible to work like a Jump pack)
also scions are like, assigned to different regiments right
They are spec ops
they are given orders then attached to whoever the plot deems relevant
Inquisitors, Rogue Traders, Imperial Guard campaigns, officers, etc
anyone
You can try passing it off as a kastelan robot
very similar after all one is just more sleek looking
idk they're a LOT shorter
Urban class kastelan robot
Just say it's from a forge world that doesn't have a lot of resources and therefore they miniaturised them
Lie like a politician
do the traitor guardsmen get their own version of tempestus scions
nope
Read.
IG Regiments don't get Scions
But they get Regimental Stormtroopers (Think Karskin, Grenadiers...)
Those can exist in the IG
they gotta stop saying all the super soldiers are perfectly brainwashed and mind controlled that shit's so lame
Well if they complain about size, i guess you don't have to worry about that if you get a steel jack on your crew
Though this one is much less likely
ISn't the problem with Steeljacks that you need that other Ironkin that control them ?
yeah but I think not every regiment has their own scion equivalent, also theres stuff on the lexi about scions getting assigned to regiments and those guardsmen mocking them because they are outsiders with shiny gear
Depends
Thses
They can function on their own but they are more effective with a strategist
Although totally not a direct copy of Scions
traitor guard is pretty poorly developed isn't it
Chaos boons plus any high-end gear they have = some decent heretic stormtroopers
like as a faction
You mean?
the moebian 6th is ok tbh
i mean it's been a long-ass time since they got anything resembling a codex
Unfortunately Lost and Damned are not a thing anymore
They are part of Chaos Space Marine codex with their own detachment
Centered about playing mostly mortal units
Non-SM Chaos is yes
it's a shame, really
40k is sadly SM centred
yarp
I want Moebian 6th Sentinel
and ogryns
As monsters
Leman Russ
Wouldn't work
True
Unless as lord
moebian 6th needs elite troops, like their grenadiers
I know
Mhm, Scab Gunners?
Looks pretty elite to me
Shotgunners are their equivalent for Shocktroops
In comparison to their regular troops, gunners are their kasarkins
it'd be cool if they had a chance of spawning a coordinated spec ops squad of some kind
nah fs is a good developer, they just don't work very fast
they can give us new boss fight though, what if instead of one you get a boss squad to kill as a bossfight
Having the Blooded Kill Team appear would be nice. Like Commissar Lord with Ogryn bodyguard, and there there other member of the Kill Team that spawn too as stronger variants
Perhaps that one ogryn boss from files
it'd be pretty scary running into a competent and coordinated squad of just regular fellas
give them a grenade launcher and a squad suppression weapon, have the rest of them just take accurate shots? spooky
Watch people mald cause the game is being unfair
yeah that already happened with the scabs unfortunately
Or the Beastmen in Vt2
Like any person that currently still complain about Beastmen is just showing skill issues and should be muted
i swear running into squads of scab shooters who used cover and flanked was way more common at launch
it depends on difficulty
You just noticed them more
Because they were more of a threat
Now you can just charge them with impunity on every class
on higher difficulties you get so much elite spam , audio cues cut, massive trains and pack of elites, you dont really notice scab shooters
The player need some severe nerf tbh
Then we can also scale down the enemy side
that's not happening though, playerbase would riot
what they should do is nerf quantities and improve quality of enemies, like instead of fighting 15 crushers just make it 3 crushers with more dangerous stuff and better moveset
because lemme tell you, fighting 15 crushers is Not fun
or bulwark trains
correct
it also limits build variety at the high end, since if you don't have something that can deal with 15 crushers and the saintly matchmaker graciously puts you in a team where nobody else can either...
Crusher and Bulwark should be made rarer by having the Mauler and a shield equivalent be stronger
Honestly
More mutated Abhumans sound cool
Like that Ogryn has a fucking lobster claw
Blackstone continuing to have peak models
Although I find it funny that he's
Literally carrying the Undivided sign for
Basically zero reason
I think he's carrying it on his back anyways
Idk knowing Chaos it could be melded within him
But either way I find it fucking funny
I could go grab mine for a better perspective view if you want
Wondering how the fuck did he get it grafted onto there.
Did some chaos MFS decide to like
Pin him down and surgically add it?
Did the Ogryn have an accident while carrying the symbol?
Either it was a horde of slaves
Or like three space marines
Or they had to actually use anesthesia just so that he didn't y'know
Fucking break out
The chaos star is not always a sign of undivided, its usually just there so people can go "oh right this guy is evil/chaos-alligned"
I doubt that purely because Chaos MFS want pain
