Official visuals of humans using bolters
if anything they need more bolters, there arent enough in supply
I'm sure if you did use a space Marine bolter you'd break your arm
Probably not
it would just twist out your arm or kick hard
its like just firing a more powerful barrett 50.
and its already oversized so no point
the real question is, can space marines use human sized bolters
The rounds nearly twice the size a of a .50 bmg
Bolters are .995 caliber in space Marine weapons and heavy bolters
I wonder if the emperor had perfect accuracy at the firing range
otherwise, 0.75in/20mm bolter.
A bolter is like .75 caliber
Fun fact, there is .50cal bolter and .50cal stubber/autogun.
They'd need to cut the trigger guard lol
would their finger even fit on the trigger
If you take max value of everything, then shit gets stupid real quick.
Like SM being 8-9ft talls, because the very few SM are.
just take that minigun bs the titans use, doesnt that fire like 3000 rounds per second or something
That's realistic
Heavy bolter is really a thing of the gun itself probably being heavy as fuck, bolters are probably really low recoil for their scale because of the gyrojet style propulsion
vulcan minigun
titans being absurd overkill will never not be funny
Big bore gun is cool, but the sheer amount of projectile flying at the enemy matter as well.
When you're not worried about recoil or carrying ammo you can just go crazy on weapon design
Like how the M134 is used in place of M2 in many case
Plasma pistols do exist but from a gameplay standpoint what purpose do they serve
Plasma gun is basically a plasma pistol already
i dunno, im sure theyl figure something out
Then we've got bolt pistol too
also plasma pistol prob wont have that much cleave
and i mean we already have overlapping weapons
like arby shock maul and old shock maul
i think one of them is just straight up redundant now
unless you wanna run it on a different class
also the shotguns
we got 2 close range combat shotguns then double barrel shotgun, arby shotgun
hotshot las is a good idea though
itl be less mobile than recon las
It would mean you would have to carry those backpacks the scab gunners carry tho right?
Unfortunately i think anything that conflicts with a cosmetic slot is probably a no go
Im also 99% sure that fs has already brainstormed and tried coming up with hotshot las, because its an easy include and its requested all the time, and stuff like the backpack bit is giving them trouble
It would also have to affect movement which would be hard to do
Its wack because there's like 3 good back cosmetics anyway
Nah you'd probably just slow during ADS like with a stubber and have a sprint speed mod
not to mention theyve already made hotshot las for the game, thats what the scab gunners use
Im pretty sure the backpack is the problem, the movement and firerate and reload and stuff probably isnt
That and identity with the recon i think
Hard to imagine a satisfying hellgun that doesn't obsolete the recon completely
Slowing base movement is something they avoid i think
They don't want to mechanically encourage splitting
they can make up for it if they rework the vet tree
We need a power sword rework and a power axe
because arby aint that mobile on some of his weapons, he gets a bunch of movement speed buffs though
from his tree
power axe would be cool too
Heck yeah
Im always in favor of new power weapons
Human scale power fists you brawl with...
There my favorite part about dt tbh
they should firstly add the block on special activation from relic blade to all weapons with activatable specials
The power weapons
Just give them some interesting moveset and traits.
I want to punch a heretics head into vapor...
A power fist would be very fun on the vet
Also powerfist redemption after being absolute pain in sm2
also, if they do an admech themed class, they have tonnes of options to choose from, volkite rifles, phosphor pistols, omnissiah axe
Weird way to spell Orgryn.
But I guess that would mean he can only weild a sidearm
True mb
Has quite a few unique weapons already.
Eh arbites can put a whole shield away they can holster some power fists
ogryn can only have uniques though
arbites are missing grenade launcher, they use that in their lore
But smaller selection overall. Vet has tons of talent to buff lasgun, which make them way stronger on vet than other classes.
also psyker needs more staffs
I dont even know what staff weapon lore is
but its been a while since theyve had a staff
Been a while? No new staff since release.
So it’s a bit funny in DT how they’re tied to abilities

I would use the shit outta that
At that point, why not use the ogryn shovel?
just give him a power axe
and give me an admech class with volkite rifles, phosphor pistols, omnissiah axes
Because thats not on veteran
why did rannick alter morrows memory
and morrow knows about it no less
wonder what he removed
The staff melee being terrible is such a huge shame
I should be able to kill one poxer that walks into melee
i think they should remove the melee entirely from the staff
and give it an aoe stun
like the arby shields have
Being able to hold it for better damage and cc but generate peril would be nice
Every time i bash a poxer in the head and see a white double hit marker i get sad
aoe stun
he just slams the base into the ground
like gandalf did at the bridge

also aoe stun is literally good for all psyker builds
I was about to say "alright gandalf" lol
There's human mages in the lotr battlefront clone that do the bubble shield too
Which is extra funny because in lotr doing magic isnt real
The five wizards are angels they don't cast spells they're doing miracles
God bless tolkein lore "ok we've got these wizards, gandalf and saruman are big deals, radagast the brown is around but useless, and im not even going to name the blue wizards they've wandered off somewhere"
Why even add them dude
Tbf werent the blue wizards simarillion?
Yeah they're only mentioned offhand
We don't know their names and no one knows what they're up to in universe
They wandered off sometime in the second age and the other wizards haven't seen them since
Simarillion was not a coherent narrative
They're probably alive, because they literally cannot die without the valar intervening
Just ramblings of world building not really meant to be released
Couldve sunk
The blue wizards are mentioned in the two towers apparently
But they mostly exist in the silmarilon and lost tales since they're not around in the 3rd age
I can’t believe Tom bombadil was never in the movies, favorite character from the books, glad he got some time in the rings of power
so the imperial navy is completely seperate from astra militarum right
The movies were so long already and i don't think tom would have made sense to casual audiences
and all the ships are made by the admech , not the navy
also yeah tom was kind of a long break
he doesnt fit very well into the flow of the adventure per se
especially since the first movie is fairly dark till they get to rivendell
They're not completely separate, the campaign commander is at the top of both chains
Lord solar is in charge of both
Tom barely makes sense even if you know the silmarilion lore
so the admech makes all the ships
Yeah
and the navy just crew em
But they make everything
But makes sense if you o ow the context behind the creation of middle earth
do the navy have like..combat units, apart from voidsmen, who are basically boarding parties?
Yeah voidsman
It makes more sense but there's still a bunch of (intentionally) unanswered questions about tom
Exactly
But like his singing and the song of creation i suspect are connected
All I know is where theres a whip theres a way should have been in the hobbit movies
Im personally a "tom is the spirit of Middle Earth itself" fan
so if the militarum wanna get around , they have to rely on the imperial navy? just like in rl kinda
Pretty much
Yeah
but space marines have their own ships too right
Its all segregated
They do yes
no they travel around on small river boats
You jest but space wolves
so are they captained by like sm captains, im talking just average stuff, not like helbrechts flagship
no
With few exceptions the mechanicus makes those ships too
I think they have serf crew
Each Space Marine Chapter maintains a fleet of space vessels used for both transport and combat. The exact composition of these fleets can vary greatly between different Chapters, indeed some chapters are entirely fleet-based having no homeworld.
Read.
oh how do you hyperlink okay
that was entirely accidental lol
LOL
What do space marines call marines from other chapters? Tell me so I don’t need to read marine lore, but so my writing can be accurate
first time seeing this
Brother.
Oh thats cool
depends
im assuming its mostly brother
I mean, SM2 had cousin thrown around by that sorcerer guy, no?
Could also go with that
Battle Cousin....
wot
thats a chaos marine
Step marines
they always refer to loyalists as cousins
The brother thing comes out of the warrior monk aesthetic
Help me step-cousim I am pinned here
Step Battle Cousin help me.....
The cousin thing i think is basically a taunt about the heresy
apart from sergeant and officers the sm dont seem big on rank either, they all just got different battlefield designations
Champion

UAAAAGH

Ah, I figured it would be like cousin or some shit
Honorable
thats Chaos marines
There's only 1000 marines in a chapter but they have lieutenants and captains plus special roles
Help me cousin I drank too much lean and now my armor is hollow (rubric marine)
The 1000 to a chapter thing is only codex compliant chapters

God bless ozzy for denying hogan media coverage by dying at the same time but being well liked
black templars are just like
infinite spawning space marine fanatic vigilantes by this point
il get their autograph first
Cant the paper wouldnt last
I don't think most chapters are too far above 1k just because even maintaining the numbers is hard
And markers dont stick on ceremite
It takes what 100 years for a marine to mature a second progenoid?
Those that dont are probably first/second founding
Yeah im sure
Unlike the vessels of the Imperial Navy, a Space Marine ship has a relatively small crew. A Space Marine is far too valuable to waste in manning a gun or watching a surveyor screen, and so only the officers aboard a vessel are likely to be Space Marines, as well as the few Techmarines who oversee the engines and perform other mechanical duties. Almost all the ship’s systems are run and monitored by servitors; half-human cyborgs who are wired into the vessel’s weapons, engines and communications apparatus. There are also a few hundred Chapter Serfs to attend to other duties, such as routine cleaning and maintenance, serving the Space Marines during meal times and other such honoured tasks. These serfs come from the Chapter’s home planet or the enclave they protect, many of them Novitiates or applicants who have failed some part of the recruiting or training process. These serfs are fanatically loyal to their superhuman masters, and indoctrinated into many of the lesser orders of the Chapter’s Cult. Although human, they still benefit from remarkable training and access to superior weaponry than is usually found on a naval vessel, making them a fearsome prospect in a boarding action – even without the support of their genetically modified lords
They get the double benefit of who's gonna tell the ultramarines they're not being codex compliant lol
Yes that is what the lexicanum says
" a space marine is far too valuable to waste in manning a gun or watching a surveyor screen"

shit like this is why half of them are traitors
put them to work
The marines give orders serfs and servitors carry them out
boy techmarines sure are hardworking folks
Like the dark angels legion
Between combat they don't have much to do anyway and during combat they're often doing boarding actions so they're not going to be doing minor key ship roles

" fix my tank" fix my gun" fix my bike" fix my strike cruiser" " fight on the frontline" " fix my armor", I hope they get paid well
I love how I’m my campaign the Absolvers are pissed at the party’s space marine for being heavy handed and unintentionally destroying part of an area they swore to protect, as if they don’t destroy entire cities because there’s a chaos cult present on them, hypocrisyhammer
Also @storm jungle do you know if the black templars would even respond to the last wall protocol?
I mean yes? Why wouldnt they lol
Duty is its own reward
Yeah techmarines must be so fucking busy lol
Because they are so spread out doing their massive amount of crusades
you guys do know they still venerate Dorn heavily right
I have so much respect for martellus 🫡
theres IF successors about as distant/spread out a sthey are
then why do space marines also pilot vehicles too by this logic if they are too valuable?
thats astartes vehicles
they are talking about manning random ass consoles
or other IT level positions
for the instagram selfies
Brother this pipe is out of spec by 4%
The black templars are violent zealots but they're devoted violent zealots
Execute the chapter serfs
Im pretty sure even a land raider only has one driver and a bunch of servitors too iirc
at least they get extra arms and omnissiah axe
We are blood angels, drink the serfs
also iirc, its mostly the techmarines who man the sm gunships
The ships i imagine have baseline humans even for roles like helmsman they just get top level orders from astartes command
What about the space marine leman russ
because 2 guys is a lot less then an entire ship crew
That's just a guy
No its a tank
he doesnt get it...
it looks like the best navy ships are designed for more raw firepower than battle barges
yeah
space marines probably like that boarding action
and the navy probably loves their batteries of cannons
They're more dedicated to drop pods and hangar bays than mounting a nova cannon or something
The shovel prow is a big hangar door which is so fucking dumb lol
Why would you put your hangar on the nose of your ship
(Other than land raiders)
Im assuming the admech have their own entire class of ships available to them
yeah they have predators
🤓 Marines means Naval Infantry in the old time.
They mostly use imperial models
aside from the Ark mechanicus
which is less a ship pattern
Was thinking of this guy
If you had side hangars a battle barge could probably mount a spinal gun
i thought ark mechanicus was like a super weapon thing
Battle barges aren't meant to be good at space combat
nah
indeed
just a catch all term for an Archmagos/magos's personal ship
thats been modified/changed/is unique/is a specific type of battleship
Yeah i guess they really care about fighting off escorts trying to stop them from launching their marines
yeah
marine ships in general are severely lacking in actual offensive power
they're mostly just defensive brick shithouses that go fast as hell
I'd want mine to have at least one of the big torpedo tubes i think
Because if they mount big offensive guns on their ship, then all of the cool shit the SMs do are gone.
Still thinking about the 5 teraton naval missile
according to lexi, when guilliman was making the codex, the marines were supposed to be like the guard, theyd use the navy for space travel and stuff, but corax was mad because of the dropsite massacre and complained that it would have been more manageable if the space marines had their own fleets, so they compromised by giving them their own fleets that wouldnt be the champs at naval combat and usurp the navy but would be good for like invasions , suppression and deep striking stuff
They need a reason to fight feet on, for all of those glories.
It makes logistical sense for them to be fleet independent too
Corax right for the wrong reasons lol
Except for the khans that go faster
Shpeed
-hears about heresy, is confused, fuck it Im just going to go fast
Not really. His legion fleets gave up to the traitor, leaving the troops on the surface.
Space marines constantly arrive at and leave from in progress campaigns so having them tied to the navy would just be confusing
The fleet was managed by mostly human crews.
Yeah sure but that's not a good reason
Fleet just parted cuz navy sided with warmaster
The navy is still all human crews
Its a chain of command thing
If high lords say to kill say... the furries
So why is it not a good reason?
The furries dont want their own fleet to turn on them
Instead of the battle barge crew being heretics the battleship next door is, boom
It doesn't really solve the problem
It solves other problems though
Well, the CoC and logistic of the thing were all mixed up, no one know who are friend or foe.
The thing is battle barge can escape
Not from a surprise attack from a ship they assumed was an ally lol
With plot, yes.
Escorts and destroyers usually get cooked tho
lol
If the allied battleship nearby suddenly unloads its main guns and torpedos into you you have problems
yeah
But there is a plot chance you can escape
If your battle barge turns traitor with you on it
There is no chance
But the marines being independent of the navy is hugely useful in actually carrying out marine combat doctrine
Unless plot
Not even plot can save you there
Unless the emperor comes out and shoves you into the webway or some dumb shit
You underestimate its power...
Cutz to trazyn just... taking the ship
When me and the crew turn traitor and the door servitors turn to look at us and start singing hymns
That would be a great intro to a nexron book
Space marines all over the cover
First chapter shit goes wrong, and everyone is goingnto die
Cuts to trazyn looking at the ship in collection
what class of ship is the mourningstar again
"Trazyn just takes stuff" is i think my favorite randomish lore lol
Sword class frigate
Iirc
Primarch of the blood ravens
Hes got Creed in a diorama
And fulgrim
He’s a collector with infinite time to kill
That's begging for a crazy novel where creed breaks out using exhibits from the vault

Yes
Gotta collect to keep the virus from taking over
No

creed is hopefully in the type of Stasis
where he isn't thinking
because Trazyn sometimes puts people in the type that lets you think
Knowing trazyn, no lol
It’s been proven that they aren’t
It is suffering
Some are
No
some are thinking
he literally setup a diorama with a deathwatch killteam and Ork warboss
Yeah but some are, shut up
where they're fully conscious
mourningstar is smaller than I expected
forever
Creed is actually a real prize he might be in full stasis
Ready for the new rogue trader companion
the best part is like
Krork
Yeah
its so fucking funny
I like how trazyn is sometimes really merciful when he wants to be
I feel like creed going crazy would kinda ruin it for trazyn
Like the magos he keeps around with nearly full autonomy besides the mindshackle to keep him from doing anything rash
What's the point of having him if hes a gibbering braindead guy
He killed him
he looks cool
arent we getting rt dlc set in a trazyn vault
Yee
We're getting a DLC with trazyn
Yeah but he was kept around
And allowed to study somewhat
Pasqals only friend, solomorne
Its still like 2km long but yeah its rather small as voidships go
Your rt flagship is the same class but modified
its not the size that matters
It is
Its not
Jokes aside I kinda wish the Von Volancius flagship was a cruiser lol
but meh
Its cool anyways
we've got cannon examples of big ass ships being taken down by smaller ones
You can do it
We have the technology
me when lance to warp-generator

kid named torpedos
It kinda makes sense that the von valancius flagship is the same ancient ship they started off with considering
Brahms seems like the same kind of situation
Yeah
Yeah its a hereditary ship
Oops can't move the archaeotech
2 hereditary ships
Yes.
Depending on deluxe edition or bot
Can’t move gramps
Im just looking at the list , apparentiy it goes battleship> grand cruiser> battle cruiser> cruiser> light cruiser> frigate>destroyer, in terms of size

pretty much
Almost all ships are hereditary
I know but we got 2
The digital deluxe one and the og
I want to beat up whoever decided frigates in 40k were bigger than destroyers
I wonder if there are rogue traders with battleships
FUCK IT PUT THRUSTERS IN THIS GIANT HOLLOWED OUT SHARPENED PIECE OF SCRAP AND RAM THE MOTHER ZOGGERS
There def are
Yeah the huge dynasties can have massive fleets
Yes
i havent played rt yet, i just own it lol
the only ships rogue traders cannot have are like Gloriana (which are primarch-tier ships) or Ark Mechanicus stuff otherwise anything is free game.
They usually have to personally protect huge regions of space for their protectorate so they often end up with a whole navy
GW could write a rogue trader with a Gloriana lol
Yeah but alas we got no canon example of it yet
arent gloriana like sm exclusive
We’ve got 2 navy Gloriana stills
No
So I can have the Phalanx?
To be fair can the current imperium even make that?
Navy also used them as a showpiece
That is like lost tech no
Yes
A rogue trader can get basically anything that's not unique or semi-unique
Glorianas actually kinda suck in lore lol
guilliman has a gloriana doesnt he
Oh shit for real
Yeah
the laurens of copium
Yeah they’re out of date as well
Yes
Idk if a rt could get a battle barge but basically anything ever mass produced is fair game
no they cannot
space marine ships are solely for astartes
Tbh battle barges are kinda shit for how much of a pain they are to maintain
^
So not sure why you’d want one
also like, you can literally have ships that can blow up said battle-barges
Yeah just conceptually
so it doesnt even matter
Its just an imperial ship with a big ass hangar-mouth at the front of it
you can get better versions of it
I bet a battle barge makes a hell of an armed merchant vessel
It’s durable as fuck and fast(for an imperial ship)
Is the one upside
You get less guns
But yeah they're barges for a reason (sort of, since they're fast)
Lots of cargo room that used to be gunships and drop pods
But yeah besides ships that are entirely unique (like the Phalanx for an extreme example) or classes in which each ship is basically unique (typically also deeply faction locked) like ark mechanicus rogue traders can get them
An RT could probably get a lesser mechanicus ship but it would be through contract and the mechanicus would still own and crew it
The mighty battle barge fist of orion prime on a thousand years of service versus, gork's finger which is built literally yesterday out of garbage floating in space
Isnt chordas a beeg ship too
Had both of them help me in fighting the onquisition

Space hulks are so funny they have to be a warp phenomenon
Teleporting attack moons
The ships magically fuse together and somehow their systems sometimes integrate??
warp jamba juice yes
And then they only show up in the worst places
theres also a lictor in the basement usually
Papa jeans
I want a space hulk combined with a blackstone foretress

more like alien 40k
Armageddon having a space hulk show up with angron on it then having a second space hulk with ghazkull on it 💀
Peak Armageddon
armageddon is uh..a special place
its named Armageddon so
Yeah her family has a battleship

Thats why deronomominus was so happy
Nomos is Nomos
Wait out of the three rts in the sector do you have the smallest ship
Oh yeah also Tyranids are casually attracted to them
Nomos is the emperors judgement
They arent attracted to them
they just send genestealers onto them
They renamed the planet to armageddon before it underwent armageddon
because the hivemind knpows people explore spacehulks
Why.
They gotta stop letting prophets name stuff
and thus serves as a vector for infection
Read above dingus
lol
How do you think some planets end up with genestealer cults lol
Jeanstealers should get the pimpmobile back
Space hulks also allow tyranids to do warp travel which they usually cant
By a massive margin yes
so they can infect wherever they float to
^^^^^^^^
~~ like atoma~~
Full archeotech armaments
Hive fleet slow space hulk maybe arrives before it even left
Nomos is Nomos
Okay yeah that makes more sense to me compared to
Idk
Infecting any random person that decided to go to the funny metal meteor

Space hulks are the #1 way to do warp travel without your own warp drive manufacturing ability
Because you do not think

no u
Which tyranids and less developed orks take advantage of
no
where do those random persons that get infected by genestealers go to?
thats right, worlds filled with trillions of people

I think a big enough waagh starts building warp capable ships?
Bottom of the hive world?
Yeah that too
yes
But before that orks usually space hulk around to find random planets to attack
oh theres only ever been 3 abyss class battleships?
@storm jungle im stll not going to read the lex
so aside from those and the phalanx, the gloriana class ships are the biggest?
Yeah if they get enough momentum they can start building their ships but them just warping around on the hulk is not a problem because they're subconsciousness can guide the more they need to go
You will as I shove pages on your face
🫡
They can't been reality just allow the warp to put them closer to where they want to go
orks psychic b*******
They also hardly care where they end up as long as theres krumpin' to be done
It's the Ferric Father Feirros
Yep which is plenty of places
space marines getting everything smh, their gloriana ships are bigger than the navys battleships?
He's cool but like he's gimmick is like very f****** basic
gloriana ships are basically extinct
He an ork that likes fighting demons good
almost barely any Chapter has them
He kills demons thats it

Blood ravens got 6
I would guess spacd hulks mostly jump into uninhabited systems but they don't usually stick around that long so you'll hit an inhabited world eventually
I think the angron hulk was summoned too
Any specific founding chapters with em
My chapters got like 12
IE dark angels
Ultramarines for one
Spacehulks jump into basically anywhere plot relevant. Their purpose is to serve as essentially travelling dungeons for loot for whatever narrative a book or your friends to go explore etc.
dont dark angels still have one or nah
invincible reason is around yes
Dark angels, UM have it still
I think if they're not summoned they usually appear in systems briefly and parts essentially fall off
I understand that.
It's just that I think that using a space hulk as a vector for infection kinda doesn't make sense logistically.
But I also know that it's 40k. And you need things to fight.
and its crewed by like a million folk apparently , thats the dark angel one
I think macragges honor is the only one left at least according to the silent king
I mean it does
abaddon has a gloriana class ship
even calgar has a gloriana class, the laurels of victory iirc
a spacehulk appearing also always gets an imperial response
It’s not
Yeah i mean in practice yes but they probably don't spend all the time between interesting places hanging out in the warp they probably drop into empty shitholes periodically
What if it is in tau space
Well yeah again its plot relevant
Same thing
Do you really think the imperium cares about consent?
Also tau board space hulks as well
Space hulks have to be dealt with
the tau go wow that looks cool try and explore it and get turned into ground beef
Orks v tau v imperium v jeans
Right I forgot about that.
I should really get more than 5 hours of sleep.

Tyranids cannot natively travel by warp so space hulks are astronomically faster even if they are random
I trust them because they somehow reverse engineered faulty ork technology
A brood taking over a ship entirely would be interesting
Tyranid blackstone
Your good I literally feel like I'm going insane.
"I consent."
"I consent."
"I don't."
Isn't there some genocidal empire that you forgot to ask?
Did you get your C-01
You wouldn't download a land raider
Literally did
I def would
Yeah that is actually what happened lol
I don't think Genestealers are necessarily infecting Space Hulks deliberately, my assumption was that because Space Hulks are made up of ships lost to the warp that then get all smooshed together and that any ship of a large enough size is going to have a genestealer infection of some scale, that they all just sort of end up there after the ship they're on gets stuck in it.
I'm not gonna buy a land raider just to cut it up for a battle map
The genestealer codex says some hivefleets do it deliberately
the hivemind is smart enough to know people investigate space hulks
Thank u
Huh
but sometimes indeed it can be accidental yeah
Oh i meant in universe, land literally downloaded the land raider lol
All it takes is 1 genestealer to make it onto som evoidcraft that will eventually park on an imperial world
how it gets there is entirely up to the writer which is the neat part
spacehulks are just one among like millions of other ways you can think up
It costs the nids basically nothing to seed a hulk with genestealers too
^
I blame my predecessor theodora
Literally nothing yeah

And don’t forget GW outright canonised you can export Genestealer taint without actual Genestealers too
Plus! If you put genestealers on a space hulk that's the movie Aliens
^
looks at Cult of Helix
She had a cool rock though
no
For some reason this annoying dude who kept talking about how much he was taught took it from me
retribution class battleships are THICK
So yes, if you really want.
You can have Genestealer cults taint grain
And watch a certain Astra Militarum Commander named Arthras fall to Chaos because he purged an entire world where the grain had been sent to.

arthas?
oh my sweet young summer child
…nobody gets Warcraft jokes anymore…
Sadge
i do believe I got it
It's Arthing time
theres people here born after the Lich King stuff lol
unfortunately
Space hulks, besides being the movie Aliens, are convenient for nids because they can just show up in the same system as a hive fleet and don't have a crew to shit their pants and flee
Arthus is a stand up lad, sad he lost his buddy the dwarf
Hope nothing bad happens to him
Actually i can't remember if you can warp translate under the Shadow
You can with the right narrative excuse
I think you can but its touch and go on navigation
its been done before which kinda breaks the Shadow lore but like whatever lol
He also has a dead space whale
he can make that his vessel and give the big ship to someone more deserving
I always imagined the shadow as being like a saturation of the warp with psychic noise
Like who his shitty son typhon
typhon >mortarion
Which shouldn't stop you from poking a hole through but would make navigation tough
typhon has a healthy gut, mortarion looks sick and depressed
My only gripe with Typhon was that the BL novels just went…”…oh yea he is best buds with Erebus that’s why he’s evil.”
And left it at that.
Depression is a disease
Mortarion is cursed to be the only sad nurgle follower
He's blessed by nurgle
mortarion is a big time loser
Kugath is also sad
Kugath loves his job yeah lol
The worst thing of all is that he is too proud to even admit he is a loser…which landed him where he is…
at least he has a cool scythe
Mortarion the eternal jobber
He loves his job but generally he's sadder than other unclean ones
Dude easily wins the award of daddy issues
lemme check what kinda ship typhus has, doesnt he have a thing where he sails around spreading all kinds of plagues
High bar those guys seem to have a great time
Terminus Est
At least he gets to torture his first dad's soul
is that a battle barge or a gloriana class battle barge
I think it’s a Despoiler Class on Steroids
oh despoiler
Terminus est is so ugly even considering its nurglish lol
Perfect
Yea, the main Despoilers CSM fleets use is supposed to be based on Terminus Est
mortarion also has the distinct honor of getting banished by draigo again in a videogame lol

You wish lol it just looks bad
I mean for all his troubles…wait no yea he had a cameo only to get humiliated.
Jokes aside, it might unironically look better post corruption LMAO
Gw: FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH DRAIGO NOW PRIMARCHS ARE MY BEST FRIEND
Trying to do actual XCOM 2 WoTC myself with a roster filled with characters.
Realised I suck at that…
its doable
So many fucking spikes
its not that hard once you do a couple of runs
It would make the dark king blush...
Yea just gotta level up my play
thats the terminus est? that is a goated looking ship
Yeah post corruption.
Also the weird fur stuff is mold
I bet mortarions gloriana ship still looks like its made out of metal
yep, very doable, also it preps you nicely to enjoy the many xcom style games that it inspired, including the marvel one, the grey knights one, and the upcoming sw one
and the mechanicus one too
why does kharn have grey fur growing out of his earrings
Thats his moms hair
I actually have no clue
It's his hair, he's Hastune Miku
Hatsune sqeaku
hatsune deez
As you can see by this evidence
Also kharn is a ratogre
he looked so happy during the horus heresy
callback to more eastern warrior cultures ala mongols
lots of tassles with fur at the end of em
well
the white scars called
How dare you
but jaghatai ' common sense' khan
They suck fast
I would what do you think the khans been doing in commorogh
gambling
racing
entertaining deldar
showing them how to laugh with more finesse while killing
preaching topknots
etc
watching the sunsets
hes probably married to a dark eldar woman who takes in great pleasure in murdering him everynight and is overjoyed to find him healed by morning
The classic
like i said, jaghatai ' commonsense' khan
Every other Primarch: Eternal Suffering and agony
The Khan: Popping wheelies on his jetbike for 12 consecutive hours in a bar car park, going in to get drunk and then going back outside to do wheelies again for another 12 hours.
im surprised luetin hasnt done a video on armageddon
but he has like 5 videos on the worst jobs in the imperium
Im so excited to have free time again ill finally beat RT
Hes in the library
Racing
i just have it bought
still need to play rt
at this point i think il just end up playing after its development has ceased
Harlequin librarians trying desperately to keep khan from drifting the book carts
i still have to finish kingmaker and start wrath of the righteous too
and I have to finish mechanicus 1
the only 40k game I finished recently was chaosgate, because I enjoyed the gameplay a lot
Wotr is much better i think but use toybox to ignore the big map wargame section it sucks
Than kingmaker that is
with these massive sword and sandal rpgs I just get huge build paralysis
especially since you get so many companions
Dude you have no idea
with their own builds
One of my starting companions in wotr ended up with levels in 6 classes by endgame
She was invincible
it feels easier with like scifi , but if you give me choices like, mage, paladin and shit I get so confused lol
Saves over 30 AC of 86 did almost 900 damage a turn (because owlcat is stupid lol, they patched it out)
and that yeah, on top of that theres the complicated kingmaker system
which I have no idea how it works
rather, pathfinder system*
Russ shows up looking entry to gain knowledge and the Harlequins are just like "Sorry no Primarchs allowed" and Russ just points at the Khan through the window doing burnouts in the library and is told "No Primarchs, we're only allowed to have one"
Seelah was paladin 1 bloodrager 12 monk 1 oracle 1 hellknight 2 alchemist 3 i think?
She added her cha mod to AC 3 or 4 times
i havent even gone after that midget who betrays you in the beginning
i think im supposed to chase him down next
the mage gnome
You have a couple options about when you can chase him down I think
Im an evil build goblin so pf1e is perfect for me
on the other hand, I LOVED DOS 2
Rogue trader presented some difficulties in terms of what i could pick when
Lmao
is the black library in the webway
something about it makes me prefer it being just a floating station type place in space somewhere
Its a craftworld iirc its just in the webway
It's a floating type space lost in the Webway, behind an infinite labyrinth
and its allegedly got the love letters malcador and the emperor wrote to each other
the words that can make even the chaos gods blush
It's rumoured to have the Emperors name, not his diary
Don't let Inquisitor Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau catch you saying that
In lore the regular people think the second war is the first
isnt it like official imperium policy that the first war didnt even happen
ah yes that
so hes from the second war
or do they actually mean the first first
Second
phew
although I guess being from the actual first would have explained why rannick messed with his memories
and morrow even knew about it
Yeah official policy is it never happened
Unless you’re part of the inqusition
Or grey knights
or the space wolves
Then it did happen but it obviously never happened
Second War of Armageddon was like 200 years ago in lore and that's what they talk about with Morrow, First war is like 700 years ago
i assumed he was from the actual first war because his mortis flashbacks talk about fighting a khornate thing iirc
a marine I think
They are present on Armageddon now in the still ongoing 3rd war of Armageddon
well
is it even called the third war anymore
afaik the planets landscape changed, multiple chaos cults invaded, tzeentch and khorne forces fought each on the planet while the imperium and orks also fought
This is debated in universe
lol
the planet got covered in warp fuckery, angron fuckin came back
Guard generals debate between 2nd and third
Those who know the truth debate 3rd and 4th
meanwhile , the orks and imperium were still fighting
do they even need the planet anymore
theres an entirely artificial debris field around it now
with wreckage ofc
what city do they even have left
Is still being pumped from the planet
helsreach?
I forgor
There’s a few prolly
One of the hellscape modifiers in crusade Armageddon
Is an oil field gets set on fire by the imperium
To stall Orks
And then some daemons do a fucked up ritual and now the oilfield is even worse and chaosy and bloody and oily
oh yeah theres also just random relic seekers showing up in the middle of the jungle, working with black templars, finding pieces of angrons axe then fighting to the death with black templars and getting the heck out of the planet

meanwhile the catachans and steel legionnares are beating up kommandos next door
It’s peak
armageddon is doomed
Yeah
its quite nice
because by the end its just like " yeah this war didnt end, every ork showed up, daemons showed up, cults showed up, they all fought each other "
while the imperium is just there fighting everyone
this isnt even counting the first war and the second war

spoilers but its a planet called Armageddon
its pretty normal
so either Arma or Geddout
thats quite well animated

I LOVE ARMAGEDDON!!!
Arma'geddem
Not in the current one
They were at the 2nd war
UM are only in 1 recent warzone/crusade book
Which is Leviathan
All the UM got killed offscreen in pariah nexus between 9e and 10e lol
Heretic
you can tell by the cat
that's an excessive amount of limbs even for a night lord 😭
i bet dilara is allergic to cats
she's born with the evil gene
My favorite powerpoint presentation
shut up
You're right, I'm being too hard on GW.
They are just a small, indie developer after all
Well technically they're Indi developers (so is FS
)
Best part is when yarrick moves
Through using one of the backpack batteries lasguns use, could you hook it up to two laspistols and just start blasting with two guns?
Yes
that's just a hotshot laspistol
I didn't know they existed
nuh uh
You guys think it would be too over the top for my inquisitor to have a power glaive fashioned like the custodes weapon
I just like the weapon tbh
Wait so is one of the two missing primarchs named Malibron?
no
we know literally nothing concrete about the missing primarchs, nothing even close to a name
It was mentioned in one of the books, and Horus confirms it before he's strangled
At least just a name
He means when malcador strangles horus
But I'm pretty sure Horus didn't even get to say the name before being strangled
there is no chance that we get a name for the lost primarchs
They did last time it was initiated.
nvm im dumb its noncannon compliant
BT love Dorn and venerate him as a demigod and their saviour. If the last wall protocol is initiated again, they will most certainly abandon all their campaigns to respond, especially if it’s their father who initiates it.
