in the Imperium
In an industry and/or job that doesn't supply war directly for non-tools of war.
So somebody like a muntions worker counts as a tool of war, but not the chef cooking slop for the workers.
a solid chunk
but not as big as the chunk that does due to how many factories produce weapons alongside normal civillian goods
cadians are different in that even clerks are trained to fight
I think it's better to assign names
literally all of them are
Guardsmen are effectively just human bullets
the astra militarum is the quantity faction in 40k
mhm
Ah yes my favorite guardsmen
that's the general theme
ofc there's still huge differences in skill levels and equipment in guard
penal legions vs tempestus scions
a solid chunk of the regiments in 40k do not have Chimeras ๐
i didnt even know that
I'm also curious about this
we only see the cream of the crop
gear and material wise
humans in 40k are way more insane/brave then irl ones
arguably more durable as well
a single space marine?
idk, what's the space marine's objective here
go berzerk and shoot everybody?
yea
space marines can infiltrate
I mean like
How much can a space marine survive until they die
can they handle a direct tank round
tank or Anti armor weaons will kill them
depends on the plot
literally the least consistent faction in terms of survivability
What book was it that had the space marine get killed by a human with a spear
First heretic I think?
Wildly inconsistent survivability levels lmao
but also Kor might have been lying
generally though space marine armor is meant to absorb small arms impacts to a certain degree
and have killed him lol
was the marine IN ARMOR or nude
lol
its implied Kor was lying
which chaos
bruh
there's also a tanith book where a CSM gets shot by so many wooden arrows that he becomes a pin cushion and the gaps in the armour are pierced
it happens all the time
this sounds like a looney tunes bit
Kor was the only person with him
and Kor literally says earlier he wants to kill him
the book is pretty silly since the tanith named characters liberate an entire chaos controlled planet without losing a single person
literally nobody dies
also gaunt cuts a CSM in half with his power sword but that's gaunt
I guess so. Since there's probably a little manual evolution going on with all the death.
i'm movin different
dracula flow is from plummcorp records dont delete my video!!!
warhammer 40k is from games workshop ya jit
anyways is there a specific reason you ask about a space marine's survivability against modern weapons
A WW2 76mm HV round would be enough to delete an SM with a direct hit.
powerscaling in 40k is a frustrating endeavor
Have people attempted.
ofc
Powerscaling is futile, and annoying objectively.
Powerscaling arguments always boil down to who can last longer.
Just seems silly in a tabletop war game tbqh
i've seen you do it
the day I say outerversal unironically
Getting lucky with rolls and my Ork shootaboyz turn a Custodes into swiss cheese
is the day you get to kill me
My oc "Killer" can solo the entirety of 40k
the only real powerscale in 40k is like overwhelmingly powerful characters
Modern tanks can track a target running at 100km/h. Good luck Mr. SM.
like we know that the emperor is the strongest living psyker in the galaxy
And crippled.
yeah, was
was alive

now he's alain't
higarushi discord emotes
He may or may not be uh
Is it
a nacent God now
and would you even consider the body alive
when there's no one home
as in the soul has left it potentially
He is a special kind of servitor.
Is he essentially just...a psyker eating machine?
LOL
the status of the emperor right now is pretty much the basis of every big setting fan theory
Well the part thats eating the psyker is a horrific psychic entity thats so mentally scattered and shattered
lol
it's hugely important to the setting
What about the brain.
imo the emperor as he presented himself and was himself is long since gone
Barely functional
the brain in 40k is not how it works in real life
yeah
like there's actual souls
Society.
the brain in 40k only governens one part of the mind
Oh.
The soul matters
Need external blood supply
Are dreadnoughts basically zombies then
and the soul kinda functions like consciousness but not really
they have a soul still
Are they brain dead
Nope
just pretty mutilated
Ah so still alive.
he can move apparently
If a SM is tomato, he will be harvested for seeds.
I wish 40k was real so I could be an astartes and become a dreadnought.
god no
lol
Being a marine is awful
you get physically, mentally and emotionally mutilated as a child
shoved full of organs
The chances are piss low that I even live long enough. but the fact that the chances are slightly above zero. Motivates me.
and are destined to die a horrific death
dreads are basically on life support and only get woken up to be violent for a while
That doesn't sound bad at all I could handle that.
Goals
That's not the motivational speech I want to hear...
yeah honestly that part does sound kinda sick when i look at it
Wake up
Kill everyone
Go back to bed
repeat
Whats bad about this exactly
i'd like to sleep unless i am needed for wise counsel or heavy arms fire
I can handle it.
i could do without the prior mutilation yeah
You don't know when you wake up.
its also not actual sleep

Unimportant
if that makes sense
You might be forgotten
do they not use some kind of stasis
As long as I get to kill everything I see. I'm happy
Then corrupted
i figure they have to at least for like, bjorn
Not by the emperor. So that's fine.
Im sorry for you.
You see. suffering is worth it. If I get to be a killing machine.
somehow the body is preserved but its not stasis no
its some weird process
where the brain is isolated from itself and the ability to "think"
rather then actual sleep
how tf is bjorn not dust lol
Space magic
Mutilation? That's fine. An ongoing cycle of insanity, repetition of battle and literal mind flattening brainrot?
That's like
Not an issue?
it could be worse you could be made into a helbrute
I don't know what any of you are talking about. This is all very worth it just so I can be a dreadnought.
"all our marines are dust we cant put them into dreadnoughts"
"kidnap another legion's marines then"
I don't think being a marine gives you eternal pain and agony?
I mean dreadnought definitely
dreadnought
Specifically the castrellum. If I'm a redemptor dreadnought I am turning around and killing my own kind the first chance I get.
I meant dreadnought
marines WILL die in service thats just the job
Also, look at the name "Dreadnought" it means "Dread Not"
yeah I remember like a primaris dreadnought at first like pretending he's similar to a lot of Warhammer memes. All excited and ready to "KILL THE XENOS"
Dreadnoughts don't dread. We nought.
unlike with guardsmen its LITERALLY only in death does duty end
But when one of his brothers asked what he ACTUALLY feels like
He just says something equivalent to like
"I feel empty. Even when I kill I feel nothing."
@daring creek Since your chance to become a SM is low in the 1st place, I think you will do well as a Penitent Engine pilot.
took me 30 minutes to write 2 sentences in my statistics homework im so fucked lmao
i imagine the dreads feel obligated to boost morale lol
Also do yall only read 40k books or do you consume it in different ways.
Honestly I really don't get the penitent engines to this day
Reading is difficult for me...
i am avoiding preparing for a final exam right now
IDC if it's fucking nerd emoji type shit
I just think it's stupid even for the Imperium
I can read pretty well but Reading consistently is hard as hell for me.
I've read about uh. 3 40k books and haven't finished them
I consume 40K with hatred.
The Coffin Version actually makes sense to me
i mostly read warhammer, aos and 40k, audiobooks and romance visual novels
Like any of yall do with the audio books?
There's fucking visual novels????????
SINCE WHEN
nto of 40k
I play the wargame ๐
in quality
look at mister moneybags over here
me too lmao
Rich spoiled guy.
wait @daring creek were you asking about consuming media in general or warhammer specifically
warhamer
just warhammer.
I would die if there was a 40k VN dawg.
Knowing gw. I don't think it would be bad at all tbh
40k VN is Owlcat TTRPG
lmao
AM I WRONG
you are right
most are mid if I remember
the calgar one is good i liked it
i ddint read the stern comic but i read the novel
which i think is just the stern comic as a book?
crazy that pyshic awakening had amaizng models and shit eveyrthing else
LIKE
and
my goat
yeah
<3 robot with god complex
correct me if im wrong but did literallly nothing happen
that whole series
and made loew tat upset everyone
one thing happened
like fixing worlds ruined by the nids
is it worse to be under the influence of chaos or serve the imperium
"see you in 6 years"
kill all the guardsmen
Chaos
lmao
Chaos is way worse overall
The imperium is shit
but its not the bottom
but at least you're having fun as chaos..right?
teh true best option is to join a gsc
:(
:(.
everyoen in chaos except lucius is fucking horrifically depressed
True the star gods welcome their warm embrace
what about slaaneshers
Lucius is also depressed as fuck
lol
It depends person to person
how they feel
but anyone near the bottom of the totem pole is having a shit time
Depends
you might be the one getting tortured
lol
im just syaing most drug addicts are not happy people
what if you like it
idk ask this dude
He's probably having a good time
its from the battlefleet gothic cinmatic right?
cinematic*
mutations, knowledge
Changer of ways
there is a shrot story where this guy asks tzeentch waht his future will be, and tzeentch gave him a vision of him murding his own children as a mutated monster. turns out this vision was what was happening at that very moment.
There's a short story of a dude who is given the ability to see his own future by tzeentch
and it constantly flickers between him dying in a manufactorum
and ascending into a daemon prince
and he goes insane
lmao
he was already a daemon prince btw
Tzeentch was just fucking with him for the love of the game
good for him tbh
that might be the short story i was thinking of
unless tzeentch just likes doign that
I feel like tzeentch is the most cruel of the 4

thats actually more or less his literal motivation, is that he does it for the love of the game
he does stuff because its more interesting than not doing stuff
I never really understood much about him except he likes tricking people and transforming people
hes got conflicting plots just because
in aos hes much more of ac haracter
And he knows everything there is to be known
as the god of change he just kinda wants stuff to like... happen
celestant prime literally hit khorne with a weapon
like
he scratches his armor
lmao
it would be hilarious if the big lore lurch forward with the great rift hugely empowered tzeentch because a bunch of stuff changed lol
suddenly the galaxy isnt stagnant
in aos tzeench loves the eternal struggle of chaos , since in AOS chaos alreday won
like 90% won
so his focus is really just on his own pet projects
he is constantly formig pacts betrayls plans and plotting because he is a fickle bastard. he is a drama kid tldr. he was hte gdo that penned the term 'the great game' which i am pretty sure is actually an aos only thing?
anwyay tzeentch caused slaanesh to get captured lmao
The game of souls its called in 40k
ah neat
oh because souls go to warp instead of shyish
also tzeentch either pretends to be a bunch of gods or is a bunch of gods
he is the most indirectly worshipped
I like how he pretends to be other gods that it's pretty cool
I read a audio book about him appearing to be a goddess of fertility and crops and what not
He tricked his followers into starting a ritual to summon some sort of demon Into existence
i like him as the speaker in the stone in the jade obelisk
I'm not familiar w the jade obelisk
its a manifestation of his pettiness
tje jade obelisk is a warcry warbadn who worship, a jade obelisk. they were a kingdom of master crafters that were cursed to slowly become stone and it is only reversed and slowed by doing waht the speaker in the stone says adn worshipping it
besides doign normal chaos stuff
it also tells them to destroy adn desecrate statues and tribute to any other god except tzeentch
I wanted some cool tzeentch magic in sm2
Like what if the whole time
Titus has been under tzeentchs control
And it's all been a big trick
never played sm2
Ah , your probably not missing much tbh w you
lmao

What happens in that game anyway
I've seen only a bit of gameplay
The animation looks good
the gameplay looks repetitive.
no gsc not worth playing /hj
titus fights nids, becomes primaris, admech dude dies to chaos, they find thousand sons on another world
try to warn calgar, tzeentch sorcerer boss battle, tsons invade system
woah sorry i thought you were describing that new space marine novel ||/j||
The story was ok, yeah gameplay repetitive basically nids nids omg artifact ong chaos omg now where in a dead tomb world ๐ฑ omg tzeentch portal OMG MARNEUS CALGAR WOOOOO
big battle, calgar comes and saves the day, final push, tsons summon lord of change
necron tech used to weaken lord of change, calgar and titus and gang go into warp tear, beat sorcerer and lord of change
game end
Something something betrayed by chaplain sent to death watxh I forgot to pit thar first
honestly not even betrayed really
titus was being suspicious as fuck
notoriously bad at explaining his actions
good defense dude
snitching to the inquisition was pretty lame
and then leaving him as a blackshield for 100 fuckin years lmao
Yeah
like come on how long do you need to watch the guy
Even when Calgar talks to him at the end he's like I had to right this or something like that
Aside from on macragge
Aside from that Iโd say Leandroโs did do the right thing
He had no one else to report to
And Titus literally just touched a chaos artifact
Sorry he said if I knew about this my son
And was doused in warp energy that should have killed him
The was the captain before Sicarius.
yeah it just seems ridiculous they took over 100 years to bring him back lol
Well they thought he was dead
lol
The inqusition refused to release him
For a shit ton of time
Which is funny enough, confirmed in a book back in 2015.
Or 2013, I don't remember.
lol
But he died
Titus gets discovered by another inqusitor in stasis
Who tried to find info on him but canโt
So sends him to deathwatch instead
it really says something about calgar that when he shows up i simultaneously thought it was cool as a whole and lame that he was there
And turns out Titus got deleted from history aside from on macragge because the UM are ashamed of the incident
i dont even know why i feel that way about calgar
In the grim darkness of the future . Humanity is... fucking stupid
So Titus thought he was a failure
And stayed with the deathwatch
As a black shield
calgar going "hey whatever happened to that titus guy"
Too cool it turns back to cringe.
Yeah he was corrupted wasn't he
He wasnโt corrupted originally
But he got corrupted fighting chaos
And then he became even more evil
He had that massive wound that did it to him right?
And then he got killed at some point
The scratch over his front
Iโm taking about the inqusitor at the end of SM1 sorry
Yeah same
Oh
Oh wait
That might have caused it then
The evil one
being in the deathwatch for 100 years was at least a decent way to keep titus busy until primaris time
In any case the dude at the end was just a normal imperial evil prick
lol
And then he became a chaos corrupted evil prick
After chaos exposure
Smdh
And then he died somehow and Titus got retrieved by an Ordo xenos inqusitor while he was in stasis
its amazing that the ultramarines response to doing a huge disservice to one of their own was to pretend it never happened and not try and fix anything
Well they did try to fix it
kinda on point
They just got stonewalled
And then gave up and pretended it never happened
Because they assumed the inqusitor had just killed Titus
ah
still like, maybe keep it around as a cautionary tale lol
The inqusitor refuses to show Titus, refuses to hand over Titus, and refuses to interact beyond screaming at you and calling you weak
Smh surprised Calgar didn't do anything if they thought that was the case
Tbf
too honorable to remember your fuckups
Exactly
Regarding the inqusitor
The imperium looks at him like royalty
Since Titus was for all intents and purposes potentially corrupted by chaos
yeah that situation did kinda call for a non evil inquisitor
Ohhh i was meaning Calgar could have done something
It is not easy to say that you are not corrupted.
Sorry I keep confusing myself
He was trying for a long time
He gave up after it seemed like Titus was dead
And the inqusitor was just being evasive
Even Calgar is not immune to "protecting a corrupted subject".
Cause at the end of number 2 you have that bit where he talks w you
Tbf the fact the UM didnโt check again after the report the inqusitor had died and his base was left abandoned
Was their failure
yeah its kinda one of those things where the 40k equivalent of separation of powers comes into play
Tbh they should have never sent him to the Inquisition
That was their only actual failure in this situation from an in universe eyes Iโd say
potential corruption is not the space marines wheelhouse except the secret special marines
Leandroโs did the correct thing there
To be fair for them, their heroes die or MIA all the time.
He contacted the black Templars and the inqusition to handle it
Yeah that also
lol
Anyone would have been able to see he's not corrupted if they gave him time
Well they didnโt have time
Like Sicarius was missing for 2 decades.
They were going to go back to ultramar
And Leandroโs was prolly freaking the fuck out
Because if Titus is corrupted
He could just turn off the gellar fields
I still think leandros is gonna ve the villain in number 3 you wait lol
Or let daemons into the battle barge
Ect.
Leandros did act like a prick the whole time
yeah thats a big hazard with transporting potential corrupted people
leandros has no mf tact
I think leandros is the one who's corrupted
But him being sus of Titus in SM1 at the end is reasonable
What evidence
Heโs not been exposed to the warp in an elevated way
And he just seems to be inherently a dick
As in thatโs his personality
His whole demeanor in the second game reminded me of the Inquisitior of number 1
i doubt hes corrupted now yeah hes just a rude guy
No real evidence but a big hunch
Leandros is a Codex whore.
And his face did seem pretty ugh whats the word
if anything its when people start being friendly that you have to be worried
Yeah basically
His eyes especially
He didn't look as bad in the 1st one
Heโs got cold eyes
It's gotten way colder
especially ones that did the rubicon i think, right?
Heโs been a chaplain for over 100 years
The rubicon often intensifies existing emotions
Which is why Uriel was so cold
He was a cold tactician
But he mellowed out over the years
Idk I still reckon he will be the baddie
honestly i think its more likely that ||he finally trusts Titus and they save the day together||
It would make sense because in number 2 the twist that he was the whole time the chaplain
what are the odds that titus gets suspected of corruption again in space marine 3
i think a new thing would have to happen
as he is now i think hes pretty obviously uncorrupted to the UM
If Leandros was with the BT, RG or SW. The "Codex does not support this action" could get him killed.
Maybe not RG
he has that mysterious warp resistance though
They wouldn't recruit him in the 1st place.
its been a long time since i played sm1 he acquires that resistance right
hes not just kinda blunt?
There gonna give Titus batman treatment you wait . Oh the whole time he had a psykick block
Or something stupid like this
it seems like they're probably going to do a trilogy just vaguely tracing out the arcs
obv i could be totally wrong
Imagine secretly a blank. Which is why half of the people around have issue with him.
Lazy writing tbh w you
that would be funny lol
i think his resistance is probably a secret that they'll explain in 3
Heโs just built different somehow
Heโs not a blank since we know marines canโt be actual blanks
Main character syndrome
"people just inherently think titus sucks" would honestly be clever but it doesnt go anywhere
Due to a psychic component in gneeseed
Something happens in sm1 that should have affected him but it didn't
i didnt know marines couldnt be blanks but it makes sense
i'd have seen one otherwise
He had the warp touch him or something iirc
Yeah the device
It was leaking warp and chaos energy
And itself was a chaos device
It is pretty spooky to everyone else I will say that
yeah he got blasted with warp energy real bad
like chaos spawn bad for a normal person i think
It realistically should have evaporated him
he basically ignores psychic effects in sm2 and that short too
Brother was in the middle of the blast.
bro has no fear
do you think the psyker case in the short is a stasis box or just very well padded
very well padded + the psyker is a biomancer
or some other psyker
that can protect themselves
"uhhh... its my armor of contempt!!!"
the reason that he was resistant to the sorceress
was because he "has no fear"
and she was fucking around by killing marines in the way they were afraid
Secret episode
yeah i dont remember who made it
i love an animation of cool guys going crazy on some baddies whatever the setting
ancient instincts from watching xiao xiao on albinoblacksheep

legendary website reference
theres a pretty specific cohort that watched their original internet videos on websites besides youtube
This has some great titan fights
There's a guy on YouTube who basically just pirates the content for you to watxh he just does a brief and small talk about what's happening
But majority of yhe episode he's just letting you watxh , there's maybe 2 mins of talking
https://www.rxddit.com/r/dawnofwar/s/K52EmJTrUO this post and comments make me lose my mind
thanks for reminding me to cancel my yearly subscription literally a day before renewal
biggest waste of money ever
way too pricey for the content available
Autogun
Real quick is there such a thing as a plasma basilisk
No
Plasma is much more a line of sight weapon than traditional conventional artillery
there's executioner leman russes
which are probably what you're looking for
I was looking for that but even more silly
I thought it would be funny to have an artillery-sized plasma gun
Canโt see the enemy? Donโt have to, this bad boy can put a hole through just about anything and still vaporize whatever was fortunate enough to be on the other side
well there is the plasma annihilator
it's direct fire as well but you really don't need to worry about anything in between you and the target
Mmm. Good stuff.
i have a treat for you
the guard has a tank destroyer variant for most vehicles
this is the destroyer
that's its name
it's a leman russ chassis with a big ass laser cannon
however this is just the entrรฉ
behold: the tank destructinator
valdor tank hunter
BUT WAIT
there's one more
this is what the guard uses to kill titans
Oh my god I love it
Itโs so stupid
they're all pretty dumb
the funny thing with the valdor and the destroyer is the guns are so expensive that the guard will do anything to recover them if the tank dies
so those cannons have been in like 50 different tanks that died
That depends entirely on what you consider a tank

in the imperium? no
which is
i notice there tends to be a lot of baneblade hype, i assumed its because its the biggest tank the guard has got
The Mechanicus has plasma mortars
oh wait
but they keep that shit to themselves
wtf
and is huge
Tbh
that thing is in lore
but its no capitol imperialis
lmao
Capitol imperialis is the goofy one
if we're talking tanks and not just huge guns on treads
Why isnโt this canon
this thing looks like a vacation home for an imperial general
Ai slop
you know if you just dug a ditch and covered it up with some foliage , that thing is gonna fall to the core of the planet
Looks really top-heavy
behold, the overcompensator
i think the og model is imperalis
for any imperial guard general who is compensating for something
Yeah its from imperialis
what vehicle is this one called again
also i think it was originally a squat model
it has 3 plasma cannon mounts per side
Someone on the admech tank design group has a thing for sponsons and it shows

plasma mortar
Ooooo
the thing is used outside of thanatars
also i didnt notice at first, but this thing has a doomsday cannon at the bottom
it's homebrew
Belleros Energy Cannon is another plasma mortar
for the Mechanicus
because the mechanicus are assholes who don't share
give me your bionic liver
no
damn
I need it for huffing engine fumes
I find alot of the admech stuff hit or miss tbh some of its really cool
But some of it look abit weird
and the ostritch looking robo cavalary
Yeah the striders are cool
they're just fucking jet planes/jetpacks
lol
Fun fact, pteraxii use a miniturized thallax jetpack
and were designed to be used alongside them
since Thallax are proper linebreakers/shocktroops
while pteraxii serve as fire support and flanking troops
Thallax really do have those vibes lol
Very awesome tho
I love when mechs have their own rifle separate from their suit
It's ridiculous and awesome
Damn that's cool
Iv seen these on the table top somewhere on the internet
The pteraxii one has more coweling
bell of lost souls or 1d4chan
prolly lol
a Bell of lost souls employee kitbashed one
I think they have one at the games workshop place in the uk
Iirc might have been somewhere else tho
il never be convinced sicarian ruststalkers are human
those look less human than kataphron destroyers to me
Sicarians are only made from veteran skitarii who are too mutilated and wounded to get cybernetics and medical care to heal them
basicially robocop
lol
new votann art?
yep its new
Probably, has one of the big ironkin things
from here
thought so
Minus this which was in last week's post
O God there coming for my wallet
WITH instructions
Doesnโt look like thereโs any steel jacks at a glance
Youโre right I think
you mean the Ironkin Steeljacks
So scared of the new Votann rules
What did they do
Everything
Basically all their new models are good
Thunderkyn are now like an auto include and just had their pt cost decreased
and there's a combination of detachment rules + stratagems + HQ aura that can make the new Steeljacks basically immortal
They're now just a very well rounded roster, with a unit to handle any situation
They will get nerfed soon
and makes a very miserable match up for Drukhari, since the new Steeljacks will basically require your anti tank weapons to deal with, but if you're doing that then you aren't focusing their actual tank the Hekaton.
Hopefully they get nerfed via increased point cost rather than rules changes, because all their rules are great, just needs point increases to compensate
I did hear tho it's been abit of a problem
Honestly I'm on the fence irs really tempting to get the rulebook the codex and a bunch of votaan but
I'm not really interested in them cause there strong I genuinely like them
Yea they've got some solid lore now and a range of great models
And plus space dwarfs ! Hecking awesome
My friend was already a fan and was collecting them before, but now with the new models he's all in
Votann so far are the only new faction from the past 5 years that GW have actually put the effort into rounding out their roster.
Poor World Eaters
That thrice devoured charecter is a really nice sculpt
Brilliant model and amazing rules. He's an absolute beast in melee
I'd want to build a votaan arny themed around being nid hunters
Have the aesthetic through out the whole army to have nid parts on them even if I had to kitbash or 3d print them
Votann is also older than World Eaters, I suspect we'll get a similar WE update in a year or so
Oh yeah was the white dwarf index that early
Like Votann was Autumn 2022 and World Eaters was Winter 2022
If I was to dip back in the TT, I think k I'd have Votaan with some Kharadron kitbash
That would actually look really cool
Ork Empires will usually have a capital planet at it's centre, but they don't really have homeworlds they just sort of grow where they grow and then stay there until there's enough of them to go fight somewhere else. They don't really care much about where they're from. Their capitals are usually key points that are worth holding either due to having some resource, being heavily fortified or being a great place to fight.
Before the Heresy during the Crusades there was an Ork Empire at it's height that literally just built a planet out of scrap with a giant plasma reactor at it's core and they used that as their Capital
Yeah orks work in hordes with like a mobile "center" where the warboss is, anything they got is always temporary
Capitals are a good place for the warboss to make young ambitious orks try to challenge them
Yea there are certain worlds that seem to appeal to the Orks for some reason
But itโs canon-ish soโฆ
Orks have an instinct to seek out worlds they perceive as an Ork capital per se
Even if it is in the long past
(โฆironically probably where they genetically remember there was GREAT FIGHTING SMASHING FUN TIME to be had)
I wonder if they still have some Old One orders from the War in Heaven in their genetic codes
Could cause some orks to "guard" certain places cause it's part of their orders
One of my favourite random lore sidenotes, is that those two Ork Empires above Cadia are the two largest Ork empires, they have been fighting eachother for centuries and it's directly mentioned in one of the codexes that if the two had stopped fighting eachother they could have easily stopped Abbadon's Black Crusade.
WARHAMMER 40K LORE: THE HORRIFIC HRUD
The Hrud are an ancient and powerful Xenos species that lurk in the darkness of the Warhammer setting.
Survivors of the War in heaven, they are more dangerous than most believe, far more so than near any other race in the galaxy. Children of Qah, they are an incredible species.

How fast could a Custodes clear through all Darktide missions?
Just walk through it
I doubt there's anything the heretics have that can harm a custodian
Still about 5 minutes because of the waiting for objective things...
You could probably get 2 custodians and send them directly to the enemy stronghold, they'll wipe out the leadership no problem
Like, playing an max ogryn at the easiest difficulty still takes that long.
Same pace as we do generally, just more insta-kills for some of the bigger enemies.
the entire thing with chaos armies is they got tons of fodder to slow their opposition, its why cultists exist
Waiting for the elevator is the real boss.
For real
I like to imagine they just A-trained cultists and run straight the to objective
Also I imagine a good chunk of enemies we fight are going to run away too
if thats the case then yeah basically like 10m, ive seen ogryn speedrunners do it lol
Even the rejects got some fear and terror nodes available to them
So packs of scabs and dregs probably gonna gtfo if a custodes is around
COWER MISCREANTS
Also someone pointed out to me that even in dow 4 the necrons can't leave their tombs without some admech being around to jump them for loot, so between that, the blood ravens and the orks, dow 4 is basically a grand strategic planet wide larceny operation
Each Darktide mission is horrifying if we are looking through the lens of an average cultist. Imagine chilling, then 4 crackheads appear out of nowhere and kill you faster than you can react.
But I imagine a cultist is gonna have confidence in superior numbers, ogryn aside
Depends on the cultist
theres a literal fear mechanic in the game
some cultists run away when you explode someone standing next to them

also the arbites trailer showcases this as well
Also , the cultists have their own ogryns, and superior numbers, I doubt most of them are just hightailing it
Yeah ik
But like, cultists can feasibly win
They've beaten up other strike teams too iirc
As for arbitrator, well
Arbitrator ain't some enforcer reject
Mans got his own order he's a part of
I think my arbitrator even has the background where he was part of the team that literally already arrested wolfer once
Didn't it say somewhere that the 6th Moebian is around 15k troops? So the cannon difficulty for enemy density is around Malice if you consider the number of Scab you kill in a mission.
Never noticed this to busy turning cultists to paste with a bolter
the bolter ironically does it the most lol
What's the weapon scab gunners use
Yeah probably if there were any left alive
I think dreg gunners use like a ballistic mg42 type machine gun
Hotshot volley
They should give the scabs a new enemy type with bolters, they are an imperial guard regiment, they probably have bolters lying around somewhere
Dreg uses stubber
If their stubber is anything like MG42 though, your ears will bleed.
I mean the fire rate is too slow.
I do like that the gunners have animations where they crouch and fire from around cover, it looks cool
i sure hope so, I refuse to believe the rejects fight an entire company worth of dregs and scabs in every room
Apart from the orgyn and arbites, could the other reject character something like a heavy bolter?
Yeah but he wouldn't be able to move with it and it would take alot of ammo
I'm just wondering if they could add that as some sort of pick up in a mission.
I think there's a charecter that can use one and be able to move but he's supposed to be bery strong
i think hotshot las is better
heavy bolter is like
usually mounted like a turret
or to sandbags
Not even arbites can carry heavy bolter without difficulty.
An ogryn could carry and fire a heavy bolter i don't think a baseline human can without power armor or augmentics
Only one human carries a heavy bolter and he's got a metal arm
It's one the catachan fighters
Half of the brother torso is metal...
Iron hand straken unrelated to mr iron hands of the iron hands
I think ogryn can, but they dont usually because its unwieldy or requires more braincells than they have
they get stubbers
and ripperguns
I think
An ogryn would waste all the ammo and bolter ammo is expensive
Ogryn are usually issued "ogrynproof" guns yeah
Load ripper gun with solid shot and you are golden.
yeah their ripperguns are usually locked with firerate
because ogryns can just turn it around and burn all the ammo or ff
Notice that EVERY ogryn gun has a melee special lol
well they are expected to be shock troops
they dont usually get to hang around the back
They just cant be expected not to club things with their guns
yeah that too
Heavy stubber is usually reserved for the smarter ones.
They've got big ol melee weapons for melee range
they dont stuff like chain weapons either , since its not simple enough for them to use
I assume a heavy stubber requires above average ability yeah
Which, btw, Bully personality is the Gunlugger Orgryn.
Oh there's another human who weilds one sick
just give the vet a hotshot las
You can teach ogryns to use them, its just not usually bothered when they are just auxillary troops.
dilara go to the fs office and make it happen
I knew the catachan Sgt had one
hotshot las
the entire thing of "ogryns cannot use other weapon types" is very dumb lore
its not in their genetics to not be able to use non-specific weapons lol
I think a big part of not giving ogryns chain weapons is like
Why would you they're so strong
just give the ogryn the spear of dionysus and call it a day
They don't need chainsaw help they need something that will survive the force of their arms
or the dionysian spear
also of all the primarch weapons I think dorn is the only one with the balls to use a chainsword
which I appreciate
chainsword is cool
so its his own thing lol
also isnt his chainsword from his own planet
and not a gift from the emprah
or from ferrus
Its probably got power weapon characteristics i imagine, regular chainswords have been mentioned as having weak power fields
they have weak powerfields until they are required to cut through/kill an antagonist

its just nice having a primarch duel with a massive chainsword instead of using a spear or a thunderhammer or a flaming sword
So it probably scoops out the enemy like a bucket chain excavator lol

Afaik its just a copout for "why the hell do chain weapons work on hard armor" lol
pretty much lol
almost no 40k author pays attention to these things
because its usually a case of "who gives a shit"
"Uhhh... makes the armor soft like tree"
A primarch chainsword i imagine is like, hilariously messy
Ok one of them got a metal arm but straken was the only one I knew about
Bloody mess perk
A metal arm doesnt matter, shes still firing it
theres literally no hard rule on what kind of weapons humans in 40k can use lol
i imagine some guy was like " Dorn revved his chainsword to kill me, I am SUPERIOR"
unless its like space marine guns who are just oversized/not made for their use
Fair enough
