He's currently the only known surviving man of iron
yes
Do you think he would be very happy if he meets iron kin?
Like holy **** a Society of robots treated well
Maybe?
the answer would likely be yes
Since his whole thing is wanting to find someone he can relate to
During DOAT, human creations are pretty strong. I would say that they can go toe to toe vs necros.
It would be fun watching him interact with Ironkin Steeljacks
if Ur was in his original body its likely nothing in the blackstone fortress except for the Guardian drones would pose a threat to him
MoI are not uniformized, we do know that there were many kinds of "Men" of Iron.
yeah
oh yeah i forgot the most powerful RT literally wrote a book and transferred it to real life is in black fortress
It's a joke of me saying that he wrote a book in universe and somehow materialize it in real life
lol
bro's power level is insane by accomplishing it
Famous for thinking Necrons aren’t real
are the blackstone fortress books good
holy shit arbitor ian on IGN https://youtu.be/lYCDDEn2AY4?si=ubu8AEEprsUDpY6F
Watch a Warhammer 40,000 expert react to your 40K and Space Marine questions!
How would you explain Warhammer lore to someone who knows almost nothing about it? Well, we got Arbitor Ian, a Warhammer 40,000 master, to answer a mix of IGN audience and Reddit questions. From the 40kLore to Tau40K subreddit, and more, Ian explains why Orks are a t...
@storm jungle
arbitor ian now officially represents the 40k lore
I literally posted this a week ago

uaaAGH-
also based that he got a Part 2, love Ian
ian fan 🫵
his no-nonsense approach to explaining these is also great
I'm surprised IGN is smart enough to actually hire a professional when it comes to talking to warhammer Lore I expected them to hire someone like Wes
imagine they took arch
Oh I don't want to even imagine that
Ign can be dumb but i'm pretty sure they're not that dumb
Can IGN please propose to him meme lore questions and he shuts them down or something
He is gonna say krieg dont just use shovels and someone out there will start screaming
Should have picked Luetin.
🥀
Nah they should have picked chapter master valrak
The Part 1 has a great bit I love where he answer space marine power levels
and hes like
"It entirely depends on the plot and we have entire books showcasing how hard and easy they are to kill in equal measure."
and im in the corner like:
I can imagine people fuming though
You know how sensitive people can be on those statements
But then again that's just warhammer fans
when the fridge man doesnt move mach 5, hit nothing but weakpoints with every shot and precognitively dodge every attack from lesser beings (literally everyone)
I have relocated to my new headquarters (home)!
Granted some things are kinda still on the way/being decided but my electronics and hobby desk is mostly set.
Even better
i feel like IGN has the resources to get a big name black library writer on their show
but black library probably has writers sign NDA's
I mean they do, its just better to hire an actual fan content creator
why doesnt gulliman try to remove the imperium's straight religon
Because he would probably die if he tried
He saw some value as well, ultimately
That, and also, cause another civil war
I genuinely think Imperium keeps missing the sweet spot with religion per se (which is deliberate)
I mean they get random miracles so it aint all bad
Ye ok fair
They're meant to be the hyper religous insane death cult
say does all of the imperium worship the emperor
I could have sworn a few sects didnt
if they don't
its not public
because thats how you get burned alive and skinned
or get other "fun" and "interesting" deaths
Pretty much yes, a must. But…method of worship can vary quite a bit.
Also what EliteWolf says.
Granted, if you are on the very edges of the Imperium (as in Rogue Trader territory) you can have some leeway.
yeah but soon enough you'll have missionaries at the door
But central or mainstream worlds…it all goes back to Emperor.
Yea that too
so all space marines worship him?
the imperium is a big fan of cultures with multiple dieties with one supreme diety
since they can hijack it
no
Marines rever him
but they don't worship him as a god
generally
there's a few chapters that do
ahem ahem german boy ahem
they don't
actually worship the emperor as a god
lol
there's other chapters that do
Marines are a very different case.
Only the most zealous of Marines actually worship Emps.
And be for you ask…yes The Ecclesiarchy doesn’t like that.
But they can’t do shit because, well, Marines are given rights to rule their own homeworld however they like.
I was gonna get really weirded out for a second
as Grimaldus has pretty famously said
"The Emperor was immortal and mighty beyond reckoning. But he was no god. Mankind - on its blessed ignorance - worshipped him as one."
In those cases…being loyal to the chapter is considered good enough on pragmatic grounds.
Grimaldus
to note is the reclusiarch of the black templars
therfore the head of their chapters cult/faith
Black Templar moment.
they worship the emperor not as a god but as a powerful human
so same difference really lol
The Ecclesiarchy doesnt like it when marines worship the emperor?
but Grimaldus consistently is portrayed as thinking Emperor != god
so a cult of personality
No, Ecclesiarchy doesn’t like how they cannot control how Marines worship the Emepror.
ah
TBF you and I are Old Ones who have been steepled and blood soaked in lore since 2nd or 3rd Ed…
yeah for the black templars
they're a Cult of personality
that doesnt sound right
I mean its not even that lol
yeah well
get used to it
they're just like that
red scorpions, Carchs and fire angels
no like I could have sworn they worship him
all are noted to actually worship the emperor as a God
not as a God
So based and true
lol
There are some BT who do worship The Emperor as a God
but the general "momentum" so to speak of the chapter
is that he was an insanely powerful human psyker who created the imperium and marines
and deserves worship for that reason
among some others
thats just god worshipping with a new label
I know that
thats their view point
you can call it what you want, but they do not worship the Emperor as a God in a sense
am just saying their view point sounds redundant doesnt make sense to say "he isnt a god but we worship him"
that doesnt make sense
I mean, if you feel it is contradictory…also remember 40k is satire.
Any supposed self contradiction of BT attitude could be read as satire of their type of mentality.
Yes, to varying degrees.
Some as a god others as the emperor
Yakub....
also am pretty sure any black templar would male anyone if they say the emperor isnt a good
Male anyone?
rather not go there
I mean space marines are pretty homoertoic
Its literally the same thing
worship of most things doesnt make much sense lol
humans are dumb
its normal
the Ecclisiarchy is a fucked up fusion of several irl religons mixed with a death cult
^
its ironically not very catholic church
despite how it looks

It takes from mostly older religons
though there is a lot of abrahamic faith stuff as well
they are a parody of Abrahamic religons
not entierly
mostly
there's more to it then just that
fuck you we're going to tallaran in the next crusade book and seeing an imperial mosque
LOL
also calling the Emperor some shit like
Abu-Abu-Whatever
who the fuck came up with that lmao
💀
look we've had the same tallaran lore since like, 2005
it feels like a parody of a parody
if GW wants to retcon it again, who am I to say no
Its really not
tallarn is just WW1 bedouins but as white people
yeah they're not that like
also the books say "they worship the emperor even more extremely than some people which offputs other imperials"
and im like um
yeh they just feel so on the nose am speaking as a arab
this hasn't been mentioned since like
me when british people write about any middle-eastern culture
when it comes to arabic culture for GW
unfortunately
Better then Mr. Jaffar
from WHFB
who worships Chaos
and rules over all of Araby
All of the BT worship him as a god, along with the mechanicum, inquisition, and 80% of the rest of the imperium.
Grimaldus does not consider him a God
Because helsreach was written before BT got retconned
actually did they fucking retcon BT Emperor worship again
goddamit lol
THATS THE THIRD TIME
oh well
I like the thousand sons tho they cooked with them
I'm gona be honest here
I forgot they existed when typing that
anyways probably for the best the original Araby lore is dead and buried by GW
Originally BT were the most zealous about big e not being a god. Now after helsreach BT are the most zealous that he is a god.
prop for the best
Anyways how about that Nippon lore
with their Kamakazies
and the legendary sword TOYOTA
I do like how in OG Araby lore they literally just worshipped Allah
which is fucking hilarious
NOOOOO
💀
idk
but Gw found it problematic even back then
that they fucking retcon'd it like one book later

I feel like early GW for WHFB was uh
playing russian roulette
when it came to writing shit
and its now russian roullete when you pick up an old rulebook on if its normal/interesting lore
or actually racist/vaguely racist stuff that got retcon'd later
blasphemy aside that would be so dumb lore wise cause that would mean the emporer would be calming to be a son/prophet of tzeench

the hell you mean yet😭

Dilara is making a joke they're gona make the Tallarans call the Emperor Allah
projecting maybe?
it is gonna be south park all over again
💀
I actually really like the Forgeworld Tallarn minis
for the time they were made in they looked really good
anything forgeworld made is blessed
you cant take my rose tinted glasses
they should have just taken some "tips" from trench crusade
well this was back from 2005
lol
so GW had either historicals to work off of
or their old minis
trench crusade taking tips from 40k tbh
and this is what the old Tallarn minis looked like lol
GW SHOULDVE GIVEN THEM BLUE EYES HEH HEH HEH
theyve ripped like 80% of dune anyway go the full 90
considering the fact that GW seems to be aiming at a global audience I can see why they stopped
they were a lawrence of arabia reference iirc
not dune
The most recent tallarn minis looked like this
and also the HWT I sent earlier
some of the fine details they could get in resin still seem more sharp than in modern plastics tbh
nvm they got a new piece of art in the 10e core rulebook
yeah that one lol
I think both those arts look fine personally
but I'm not sure what like actual Arabs think about it
do you know who the artist is for that one? it feels familiar
back then they were def arabic inspired but now it's more of ME/North Africa
thats, true actually
Very possible Miguel but not 100%
hm
the planet tallarn being a formerly lush world catastrophized into a solely desert world is def a dune hook
i mean as a regiment theyre pretty neat, strong tank, stealth and small unit tactics, pretty resilient and cool enough dudes to be friends with eldar
I more so meant aesthetically
their in lore combat doctrine is like literally normal
honestly I find it better
I c
guardsmen with shemags seem pretty inoffensive? more practical than the regiments rocking kilts atleast
tbh depends on the age lol
oh right, forgot these lil guys existed
lmao gottem
not even a gottem I love it because of that
my reaction to this information
no, this is critical 40k lore
We're about to get this convo in dark heresy
its true
the companions are not nearly hostile/actively make fun of each other in Rogue trader/hj
oof i prefer the older one
it's too raggy
Yeah which is why i think its either Lewis or Miguel
they draw most 40k cloth like that
"raggy"
its a fucking desert combat outfit
bro will look at a vietnam era soldier and go:
"its too green"
imagine a rock based guardsman regiment
What creature is on Janus Draik's shoulder?
it's a cat
You can add 1 SCP to the warhammer universe
Choose wisely
Its a generic alien made up for the mini
Expansive lore predating like 30 years and they can't give us cool ecosystem lore
Even if he was kinda John Blackstone
I am a huge fan of the ratlings
necromundas sewers and ash wastes have cool ecosystem lore tbf
And the astropath
Without a doubt
pretty sure the only planets we have an extensive ecosystem for is Catachan and Necormunda?
I've settled on the Crusader as my favorite
Dude cannot die, has a super easy inspire condition and uses 2d12 for all of his attacks when inspired
whats the goal max suffering orrr
Good question
Uhh
Maybe whichever one would fit the best
682 kinda fits as a khornian daemon
Liber xenologis has some fun fauna
096 and 682 are boring
nah 682 just wants to be left alone
I will inhale any ecosystem lore anybody sends my way
he gives off more of a nurgle vibe
106 would be interesting since he would be in heaven with amount of suffering
Check your DMs in. A bit
the old man?
some of the Primarchs homeworlds might have decently developed ecosystems tbf, but otherwise the story never lingers in one location long enough to fully flesh out all the neat little details
but I think the predatory street art 1155 would be cool
I know that one teddy bear scp would be a really good daemon of slaanesh
Only scp I feel uncomfortable from
Honestly..? Agreed
I like them sometimes
like 096 can be horrifying the premier story for him is still gut wrenching
682 can be written to be emotionally great but most of the time they're both are just boring
Very generic monsters narratively speaking
SCP-1048 would work
I hate that thing with a burning passion
but I like it bc I hate it
Yikes I forgot about that one
Gate Guardian would be cool, just this area that appears on earth with a being that destroys everything and anything that gets within range
I looked it up when I was 12
worst mistake of my life
What about 610
The unholy union of khorn wrath with nurgle’s plagues
depends unlike others it's just a virus really
the only reason the foundation doesn't just blow it up is because it's deep in the earth
in 40k it would be wiped out
it would get nerfed in 40k
610 is hard to transmit by itself
Not quite
Though we don’t really know what the hell is going on down there
Seems more flood-like than just a disease
they would prop assume it is a normal daemon of nurgle
yk slaanesh needs demons they are actually scary
am so tired of the crab people route
it's implied it's a Sarkic plauge or some sort
I hear about Tzeenchian and Slaaneshi daemons the least of the four
so to add that you would need to add Yaldabaoth
tzeenchian demons actually work
they aren't ment to be scary
they could take the sonic angle like the noise marines, draw on mythological concepts like sirens/banshees... but then that would require them caring about fleshing out demons
say does anybody feel that the great plan of tzeench is that there is no plan and bro is just trolling
There are siren Daemons
actually the one interesting thing you could add from SCP to 40k is Mekhane
ok but am talking more along scp-1048 vibes
like surface level innocent but it will sink a depravity given the chance
The mechanicus would go fucking nuts if they found him.... Mekhane my beloved
Bro is definitely just trolling
That’s why Tzeentch is probably my favorite
100% bro is a bluffing gaslighter
their plan is just very flexible and working towards moving goal posts
Nenio is the best comp they have ever made
so far anyway
Hey any games similar to Stellaris that isn’t 500 dollars?
endless space
also you can get all the stellaris DLC's with the subscription thing
or we could play together since i have all of them and i want any excuse to rp in a space game with one of you guys
Not really, endless space is the closest for space 4X stuff
But it’s very different
we should do a stellaris run all of us
Distant Worlds 2 maybe a little, it's different though
would you be up for that wolf
or good old masters of orion 2 1996 classic

I've been playing lots of Stellaris recently

I fucking loveeee endless space lmao
is that a yes
Yes but when
A subscription for a fucking video game???
I have almost all the dlc
If you want the honest answer about stellaris dlc
90% of the dlc is chaff lol
Lmao
ed wanna join if it happens
The game has like 400 bucks of DLC
So you pay 10 and you can just play all of them for however long it holds your interesting
^
offer goes to sigsen as well
The only reason I own all the dlc
Is I’ve owned the game forever
And the sub thing is new
lol
I’ve poured so much time in the $$$ spent is worth it
Probably but it'd likely be bad for me timewise
We'll make it a YouTube series
Stellaris MP in a nutshell
Or something
mag do you have stellaris base game
No
Yeah and you own all of it for 10 bucks
Oh that’s awful lol
A month!
would you buy it if we make a lore chat campaign
you'll be able to try out all the DLC's
in multiplayer no less
Yeah the host shares all DLCs with players
Yeah
I haven’t finished a run
💀
dont worry we can go easy
It's not that hard tbh
we're all buddies here
Tbh it’s a bunch of info
Ehhh, I’m tight on money I’ve only bought 2 dollar games as of late. And I’m pretty sure the copy I have doenst have multiplayer
Let em check
Reasonable
Tbh
Hopefully we get someone better
20 GBS?!?!?!?
gigabytes?
I have 4 play styles
Dwarf, Space Druid, Space Farmer and House Atreides
huh and hoi4 is like not even a full gig
@storm jungle do you have stellaris
we need an evil empire to spice things up
I can be evil smh
no you're too soft and kind

I haven't touched Stellaris in a few years, reckon I don't know what's what with how many reworks they do on average
Game is pretty easy currently, I think
cmon sigsen join us
so far we have wolf and ed
past 3 am is bed am
what even is your time zone
Apparently the AI is broken and just doesn't scale at some point
The next patch literally has notes that they fixed this
Like you generally can just run over the AI before mid game especially modded if you know what you're doing lol
Anyone got any good wizard tower named?
that's because the AI has barely been adapted to deal with the DLC's
a classic paradox issue
The Spire of stars(before you make a Destiny joke I had come up with that name before that raid was revealed)
Also what type of wizard
To be honest, that's because it's basically like using a giant fucking drill vs people using a sword
Like a sword is a proper weapon but they're stabbing people with massive ass drills
Multi melta should still do a ton
lol
Meltas just suck rn
They’re casino cannons
Lightning but idk if I wanna theme the tower or other things about them around lightning
they really shouldn't be up to chance with how close you have to use them
"Let's go gambling!"
Roll
"Ah dangi-"
Melta fucking explodes for no reason
Spire of stars is pretty good
They’re up to chance if they wound and then it’s RNG if the tank tanks a lot of damage or instantly fucking dies
lol
It's probably just not shooting but an explosion is always funnier
I used it for a Druid of the stars tower thingy for 5e lol
I’m glad you like it
I was gonna go to Alchemyst’s Peak
That works well
Though if they’re a lighting wizard you could like
Associate the name with it
Idk
Lichtenberg Lookout?

But again, not sure if I want the tower or other things about them to be lightning themed
Ah
Greetings, can you help me to clear out some info with the arbis?
Can arbis use skull tattos? or are these considered too out of norm?
In the face, mainly
There are no precedent saying they're not allowed
Ok, nice
Wouldn’t be seen as abnormal
Tbh
It's 40k standard to use human skulls if you want to be scary
Allright, nice nice
Or even for not scary things
I swear I bet beds in the Imperium have skull ornaments
I'm pretty sure the only reason why Khorne hates the Emperor is because he thinks the Emperor is trying to out-skull him

Also due to me finally getting a new PC that can run Darktide without wanting to fucking die
I made an Arbite character with a skull tattoo
Was gonna name him either "Judge-Death" or "Death"
But thought that it was too on the nose even for 40k so I chose Aeacus
One of the Judges of the Dead in Greek myth
Also apparently means Lamentation
You may have the same issue my arbite karl gets smh I named him karl like Carl from aqua teen hunger force ... my dogs name is meatwad aswell but I keep getting
Karl urban?
hell no
Are they all Godzilla ?

I haven't seen any Godzilla movie in ages
go watch Shin Godzilla and Minus One
Top left is Godzilla minus one
Bottom left is Godzilla like the og
And the right one is shin Godzilla
So peak
also the rare 3 where Godzilla is treated like a monster/disaster
Minus one RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH
GENUINELY PEAK
Final battle lives rent free in my head
that one was awesome
"Hm. I really hate this Japanese guy. I'm gonna ruin his life."
- Minus One Godzilla
Legendary Godzilla feels like a sad overworked actor nowadays.
thank goodness godzilla is quite a flexible character
😔
m-my goat... is washed...
I love Nenio
Especially when she grilled Daeran on his attraction to anthro fox girls
me everytime im not playing a genocidal imperial empire in stellaris thinking about how easy my current situation would be if i was
WOTR was great
I literally have not done it yet for this reason
Sometimes I free the Prikki Tikki so I can give them a taste of their own medicine
Or I turn them into bio trophies

Mandatory pampering
The prikki tikki?
Stellaris preset empire who are trapped on a shielded world, you can ignore them, fix the shielded world, or release them
They’re a democratic blood cult genocidal empire
Anyways they got trapped on that world for a reason lol
If anyone is in the UK
Can you confirm if Deviantart and Pixiv are being weird (possibly due to being asked to comply with UKs…stupid…laws)?
Or is my temporary connection just too crappy for image heavy sites?
But if you free them you can kill em, or do other horrific things to them. Or you can forcibly change their culture, ect. lol
Well that also is fitting
I’ve been on a rogue servitor binge recently
So turning them into bio trophies is also hilarious
Too bad, you’re living a life of luxury dependent on a robot forever now
I love playing the evil overlord charecter in these kind of games
Rogue servitors are like creepy lol
They’re not malicious
But they’re very creepy imo
Yeah I had to Google em but I agree
Mandatory pampering

The whole, bio trophies live in a utopia situation entirely dependent on their robot caretakers lol
one game i had i freed them but they were stuck behind a fallen empire so they kept just suicide rushing the falling empire and their whole shit kept falling apart reforming and doing the same thing over and over again
There kinda like those necrons that just uh cut things open and play mad science right?
Eternal war
Lmfao
Yeah there’s a few origins/traits/acension paths/crisis paths that play into it
Synthetic fertility origin is very necron coded
The robotic ascension lets you essentially do bio transference
one of my favorites is the play as radical industrialist rock people who live on radioactive worlds w radiotropic perk so just move to a new planet turn it into radioactive shit hole that no one but us can live on and dont have to consume energy anymore
eat a lot of rocks tho
aside from rogue servitors and cybernetic tech rush playthroughs
Is it true that even if they did achieve bio transference they would most like destroy what ever they did and just keep doing what there doing
I really really really like Overtuned
Just from a thematic standpoint overtuned is really cool when paired with bio ascension and the whole mutagenic spa stuff
The Necrons would have started the war in heaven for another reason if the old ones gave them immortality
They were a violent, hostile, stratified and expansionist empire
you can also sometimes make psychic cyborgs but its a little tricky to force
Also needlessly cruel
To their own people
You can make psionic robots with an event lol
Stellaris always sounds so fun but its so scary
Hopefully the shroud changes let you do it consistently
Because the shaper of clay is cool
It’s a ton to learn tbh
I suck at Stellaris
i still have no clue at all how to play crusdaer kings even tho iv heard theyre similar
I'm not even really good at tw
I was about to say the same thing lol i love total war but its not for me
I lowk wish total war was a grand strategy game and not an RTS
Like the campaign especially I never know where to leave my armies
Overtuned can get you some fucked up stuff as well lol
Since the traits all have age penalties
I always recruit too much and starve my kingdom lmao
You can have 8 year old scientists
All I want it to play skaven and build under cities
And leaders dying at 20 lol
Then my freind has finished the medieval 2 campaign like 7 times as like most of the nation's
another reason i like the rock ppl in stellaris they just live longer naturally
Technically they don’t
Sometimes
They tend to start older as well
But sometimes you hit the jackpot lol
The newest beta fixes that apparently
mfw the Necrontyr were somehow crueler than humanity
Like actually, how the fuck did they beat us?

A small part of me kinda wants a War in Heaven Table Top.
But I know that wouldn't be good for multiple reasons. It would be restricting, hard to do right, etc.
At the same time it does sound fun to imagine Necrons lead by a prime C'Tan vs Krorks and Eldar
Also no humans
Definite bonus

Watch them introduce humanity in the War in heaven
So based
Whos closest related to the old ones would it be Eldar?
orks and eldar are the last remnants of the works of old ones
They didn't make the Eldar, but they uplifted them iirc
yeah that seems to be the case
One more thing , the old ones is there anything on them that we know? I feel like they might be a nod to Lovecraft?
They seem very eldritchy
The Old Ones were an ancient, space-faring reptilian[7] race who had an advanced civilisation before the development of the Young Races in the current age. They are notable for being the first of all the Galaxy's sentient life[6a] as well as being the first race to cross the sea of stars, making them the oldest space-faring species in the Galaxy.
READ
Old Ones is literally a thing from Lovecraft yeah + them being space frogs
Ok
ahh so the krork were made in the closing days of the war?
yep as one last vain they created the most self sufficient killing machines and war mongers the Galaxy has ever seen
thanks old ones for not installing an off switch
The first meeting between a orc and a human is pretty funny
and jokareo smh
that too but they're quite a background lore, oh and humans
i thought the human one was kind of just a theory
its not
that one is true
think the watchers in the dark couldve also been made by them or nah
also are their any notable campaigns that the nightlords had towards xenos or were they only used against humans for their specialization in terror tactics and sadism
They kill and terrorize anyone.
As for specific campaigns idk google it
theres like tons onf the wiki lol
do you think theyd see it as beneath them to even take "trophies" for their armor from a xeno in the same way they do to humans
As ever

there isnt a universal rule for the entirety of the night lords as a legion
they do what they want and take any trophies they want lol
SM legions were so big and can operate independently with their own logistic and sub specializations that it is really hard to say anything.
Like, crimson fist and black templar are both from IF, but those 3 are very different from each other. (Maybe less CF and IF, but BT definitely is).
yall ever noticed how weird ogryn skeletons are
they are just oversized human skeletons like surprisingly normal
Black Templar's original fluff is a social commentary on how stupid white nerdy men are
that's the point?
what about it
I really wouldnt call them "surprisingly normal"
they are literally enlarged/gigantic lol
but they retain a normal human skeleton
I mean yes? They are human
and I find that weird bc that means they are forced to stay hunched back
they just have a big form of gigantism
I really dont understand how ogryns are considered abhuman but im assuming its just a political thing for the imperium
yeah they evolved that way
ok but from a biological perspective they should be in constant back pain
Aren't they just humans adapted to high gravity worlds?
They got what is essentially hyper-gigantism, which is technically a mutation even IRL
they just have normal human skeleton while their bodies are forced to be hunched back
the planets still mutated them and they are beyond whats considered "normal" as the Imperium basically follow the nazi rule of "you look weird, you are a freak"
Its 40k, doesnt matter.
Ok true
yeah but I think it is pretty interesting nonetheless
why are you concerned about back pain in a setting where a giant red demon can slice a tank
what does that mean
biology nerd
Isn't Orgryn engineered to be like that? Hence they are so different from normal humans despite their existence for some 10 thousand years.
the red demons are cool and all but ogryn biology just seems kinda cool
Yeah like we treat people with mutations both basic/extreme as generally normal folks today (unless you are just an asshole person) but the Imperium harkens back to the older times where any physical deviation gets you titled as a freak.
Its a mutation, its not engineered.
I know am gonna get burned instantly if I was a imperial citzen(got one elf ear)
You ironically probably would depending on the imperial lol
Maybe I got something similar from a different fluff.
Would it be a possibility that if Catachan survives long enough the humans would have adapted and evolved so bad to surviving the planet they could eventually be a mutated abhuman
not all mutations are visible
Im just thinking about how insane they'd turn out
Catachan people at the end of the day are just normal humans with more muscle due to working out + surviving
they're humans that got stuck in a high gravity world where resources are scarce and so evolved to be bigger and stronger but became like cavemen in smarts
20-30k ish years is very short for evolution, even if it is with mutation.
yes i know high gravity means short
Yeah that too, even ogryns existed way earlier than that lol
most ogryn populations pre-date the Imperium
they also prop evolved chronic back pain so thats funny
biological realism seems rather pointless when these are a thing
lmao gottem
and the orks
the sloth
the hrud
Was there any orgryn on earth during the unification war?
probably
idc I just think it is a interesting thing also you argue the tyranids have some biological realism
Because they would have been a good asset to have, even with the custodes and thunder warriors.
they really dont
pretty sure they where used in the horus heresy
this is mostly people searching for realism in places they dont exist
like the fuck does ogryn having backpain have to do with anything
HH happened way after, when many systems were conquered.
nothing I just think over analyzing stuff is fun
from a irl perceptive
the hell are yall so mad over😭
Brother, I tried... We can't win...
Dein all you do is make old woman jokes and call me a milf, you arent above anyone in here
i did not say they have biological realism, i said why bring up back pain because of evolution on a setting where one of the factions makes evolution it's bitch
What a thing to join chat too
cause funny
Wtf does it have to do with "above anyone"?
Because you say about as weird as hell shit
then act like you are the only mature person here for some reason

Same tbh
Since when am I mature?
wait dilara how old even are you?
Bro do not ask a lady that
I thought you where 17 ;-;
Have you no tack
ay lady to lady smh
Ok it's not a wrong assumption to assume almost any person in a Warhammer 40k chat is a guy
To be gender neutral, all of you, and me, will be "it".
I mean it isnt
so far I have met 4 woman here (including myself)
Sound about right
Thats kinda more on this server and its environment i think
most other 40k servers are uh

There is a statically anomalous amount of women here
back in my day when warhammer wasn't woke only proper manly lads enjoyed warhammer 🙏 😔
what back in the pygmy stormboyz days?
yeah the good old days
There were rumours that women played tyranids but I didn't believe it
people trying not to be incels around sister of battle fan art
More like around any female 40k characters tbh
(bonus points for ones that arent also white)
people have sexualised tyranids, that is nothing
Try bringing up eliminating sororitas boob armour in those circles it's very funny
anything related to gender and warhammer just sticks huh
GSC...
Absolutely, I was thinking about buying some sob and I don't like boob plate at all and the backlash I got was a shitstorm
It was very funny in hindsight tbf
funny thing is most of war hammer is stupidly over sexualized so i dont really care, I just think it looks dumb in the official art (the minis work tho)
i swear if it's a warhammer gender related thing it's always beef on site
This is why if you want to goon, go full goon with the assassins in latex.
Both men and women
Yeah I'm just not a fan. I can get the implications behind the ecclesiarchy making sure others know they don't have "men" at arms and how sexualized things can get in general but it's just not for me
yeah the assassinorum is made for it, go wild
make them caked up
Assassins that are more effective to be girls because the drug they are using works better on girls
That is just pure setup right there I'm not even gonna lie
This is just like asking for it at this point I can't even say anything
But you know, at least the guards look good,. Not sexualized, but still feels badass.
Do you analyze any female model with the predisposition that could be sexualized or what man
Its really not.
40k has very much gone through an age of de-gooning following 2018 and onwards lol
yeah like the way they went with the tithes custodes is actually quite amazing as a character design she's just literally a Greek statue
I am just flabbergasted
They have gotten much better on that front at least
I dont even blame GW for being so cowardly with more realistic depictions of a militant force of women. The community isnt mature enough to fucking handle it
GW is a company after all they only gambit when it makes them moolah
Fortunately they have reached their conclusion that the actual normal human beings outweigh the insidious chuds in their audience
So they will hopefully keep taking more creative liberties
I get space marines can’t be women, but aren’t the custodes hand crafted couldn’t the emperor make it so they’d survive the procedure?
I don’t think they’d look feminine anymore though, just a weapon
Basically theres no logical explanation behind it, its simply a commercial thing. Space Marines have been men forever so changing that would alienate their main audience.
^
They deffo would tbh. GW wouldnt do something like that, they'd just look more like amazonian women lol
Ahh, I get it now
the most explanation we got is "the zygotes/science-term-thingies dont work" which is like... its a hyper sci-fi setting, you couldnt figure out swapping choromosomes?? 😭
I do have a thought dont the space marines get pumped with a bunch of testosterone and other steroids so like all would just come out looking male
this has been in the back of my head for sometime
That doesnt matter on the reality of tabletop + people liking male/female heads.

rule of cool
its not rule of cool tbh, its Rule of Commerce
theres a reason almost every mini-range GW has made has female/male heads now
like almost 2 weeks ago with chaos dwarves even lol
The gender difference I've also been more pronounced too so that you can really tell
They have been doing their best to make the factions that make sense to be unisex unisex
because they know that **** sells
Theres people that get mad when they realise this is a lady squad leader for scions.
We truly live in a society
They removed some of the older female models and make more head change instead.
Yeah to come with the kits
I literally didn't know she was a girl and I just found out now and my reaction is oh that's cool and then I go back to thinking on how orks are awesome
why can't people just be like that
literal ******* necrons can do it
beats me
Catachan Jackson, a female guard sgt, was removed in the 8e I think.
She was removed because she was a limited time mini
custodian yuri when
It is a little strange, but this is the era of internet outrage
yeah everyone screams at the top of their lungs like warriors
Oh. I remember that she had special rules as well.
people will always whine about anything the internet just makes it so that they can do it on a global scale
Now her model is a normal veteran sgt.
Cawl spent 10000 years fixing the emperor's rush job and didn't bother making them unisex to increase the pool of potential Aspirants by 50%. Is he stupid?
yea
Look
we cannot upset the marine fanbase
they are whiny as it is
we will reach meltdown levels

it will literally exterminate 40K stocks
I am not kidding
Marines make up a large part of their fan base to the point that it's basically GW own money factory
SM line makes the most money. Too risky for their income.
I don't particularly want female space marines, not because women are icky mind you, but my reaction would be a most powerful ¯_(ツ)_/¯
More than half of 40K is SM.
To be fair you won't be even able to tell a space marina's woman if they are wearing full armor because of how bulky the damn thing is
Which miniature would you pick the highly detailed new GSC sculpt or the tactical rock AoS marine
they are both pretty good tbh
You'd hardly be able to tell I reckon, yeah. I'd rather more focus be shifted on to other factions
most space marine player I see like the helmet on so I dont think it will matter at all
they are both pretty good really
The AoS isnt bad but comparably is crazy
also idk why people still call Stormcasts marines
they are way more humanoid and less squat looking lol
Because
Its just because of the marketing
I mean that marketing is older than most people on this server
Theyre just the equivalent by brand recognition
to be fair calling a stormcast marines is like an insult it's like comparing a group of good people to hitler
idk why but somehow I dont believe that
I mean you dont have to. It has.
40k's main audience for marketing is teenagers/kids
kids?
evne if the entire hobby is largely adults lol
yes?
have you been to a GW store, kids and teens are everywhere lol
Teenage
warhammer child books are a thing
one of the kids got vaporized by the way
Oh god
they want to market the world with dark eldar, slaanesh and the facist state religion to kids
That one is a little brutal.
Yeah kids love that stuff
Starwars
You do realise they dont really advertise said things for that reason right
Also this
tbh star wars is more subtle
No
Starwars is a different can of worm really.
Women scare the warhammer table top player lol
it is as subtle as a pepple war hammer is a damn brick
Starwars is very heavily leaned towards religious genocide and fascism in fact
yes
I too am also afraid of women, why are they so mean
In GW stores the factions in 40k are advertised much more loosely/generally for younger audiences to buy them.
Also idk why people say this, you do realise kids love violence right, so it doesnt matter either way
yes I have a 8 year old brother these things are monsters
Cool, most people still dont
this is literally in GW business reports 💀
which people publicly can read
You do one little misogyny and suddenly the world is blowing up 😔
my coworkers young kid wants to start painting
And the fact that people didn't make a fuss about it means that it's OK
THANK YOU
Its not like you walk into a warhammer store and they have footage of a religious beheading on their TV you can't really pick up on the idea of a religious fascist empire as a child unless you directly read about it
^^^^^^
You get a space marine heroically posing instead
marketing people know what they are doing
Also yeah like at the end of the day if they got into the deep deep parts of warhammer like painting it's just literally buying plastic crack
yeah I get that but the lore really isnt for kids
why do you think in most 40k artwork when factions are clashing no one is explicitly dying or is simply dying with a simple gun blast with no gore added?
I think the thing with the Custodes all comes down to you can't tell whether they are male or female inside or outside the armor. They are all so changed by the flesh shapers that they just come out looking male. Which tbh would probably trigger the fan base even more than just saying there are female Custodes.
12+ at best
Kids can deal with some proper dark stuff fine, give them a little as a treat
yeah but you have to go really really deep to see the bad stuff like
Neither is starwars however
really deep
just aviod slanesh or dark eldar and youll be fine
or expose the goth kids to them
Tbh that argument has proven false months ago now
- Custodians are hand-crafted to be essentially big statue-esque greek warriors, theres no hormonal adrenal gland or uglification thing going on.
- We also see a femtodes in the Tithes animation and she looks relatively pretty attractive for a 10ft amazon woman
when i was young i used to read creepypasta
You can walk around at disneyland and your child can wave at the soldiers who blast children with laser beams
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I need to make a clip of like
kids joking around with stormtroopers
then intercut it with the Ghorman Massacre
I wana do that

I would cry
i watched and consume slasher movies like they were candy when I was a kid
friday the 13th stuff like that you name it
Ahh didn't know that was a thing. 👍
🫡
eh I still cant see war hammer becoming that kid friendly
yeah, as much as i protest kids learning 40k its gonna happen so might as well curate what they see
It doesnt matter though
again, kids love violent stuff
they dont need to see the lore to get this stuff
its always tabletop first
Why do you think it's popular to grab spiders and make them kill each other for our entertainment when we were kids
"Protest kids learning 40k". Somebody left their catholic grandpa on their discord account
true
Well, if you focus on the rule of cool, it is for kids. If you go deeper, then it is for adults.
and again warhammer has literal books for children
most kids tbh
they know how to ease them into the setting
even if the setting has one of them getting vaporized
I got into warhammer at like 10
I should clarify, I knew the first thing. Not about the animation.
My freinds started playing and then I eventually ended up at the store
Escape of Commorragh- part 2😍
The newer editions are aiming for a wider audience.
ah yes how dare i think kids shouldnt get into the franchise that is so dark planets die as a footnote
||not a real book||
Ok so starwars
Gomorrah is from IRL of course its not real
