bro these devs man
Stop thinking
no
That's the capcom woman's specialty because they made this new character that is a 6'8 and 269 lbs spartan lady
Does grenadier guardsman support normal guardsman like the 6th's grenadiers does?
Or are they a separate branch like scions?
What is DKOK btw?
all the weights in SF make no sense
lol
Akuma is like 190 pounds
Death korps of krieg
Yeah I saw a krieg grenadier on the wiki page
yeah the stormtroopers of the 6th are the Scab Gunners
I thought every regiment had grenadiers
stormtroopers are an old concept for guard regiments GW kinda entirely abandoned for branding reasons
oh you mean grenadiers
as in like
people who throw grenades
no those would be assigned squad roles mostly
Jamie is my favorite iteration of any drunken master because his jacket blows open when he gets drunk
Fahkumram in Tekken 8 is as tall as an SM, lol.
dont the guard have grenade launchers? i dont see them outside of dow1 really
Yeah again just not shown for uhhh
but a grenadier in squad is different from a Grenade launcher
tabletop recognisably mostly
yeah those are stormtroopers
Metro situation
I didnt even see it, post
Will text after some time
i mean Capcom is like, OK so our poison guy was not working well let's make it into a lady
GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT
AKI is so eh.
nah
her victory animation is something else
shes peak character design
Aki is fun
I love how much of a cute creep she is
her name is technically A.K.I which is even funnier
we still don't know wtf F.A.N.G stands for
me forcing a person to read the lexi
truth nuke
(their entire body is paralyzed)
do you also shout "my magnum opus" when you do that?
Grenadier has many meanings, even in real life.
the tighter suit helps
Too bad SF6 doesn't have cloth code like SF5.
So what is he doing now that shadaloo is gone
That cloth code was a big selling point.
trying to revive Bison and some psycho power stuff
also selling medicine
all this talk of fighting games reminded me that Sony is launching a new fight stick controller
well that's good i think for him anyway
idk lol
god i wish this channel was about another ip so i could talk about non 40k stuff with the lads i enjoy
Metro finally resurfaced I'm back
welcome back
So no grenadiers now?
but regarding the bombers in the Moebian Sixth they seem to just be normal squad embeded grenadiers
no they exist still
GW just doesn't mention most regimental stormtroopers now
lol
Tempestus Scion literally means Storm Trooper...
Hmmm
we were literally talking about fighting games just now
you instantly get linked to non-Warhammer content
which is one of the reaasons why The Big Rebranding™ happened
They used the Tempestus Scion name for a reason.
We only get Kasrkin, catachan devils, DKOK grenadiers, Royal volpones, Ork hunter firesweep teams, and Armaggedon Steel Legion stormtroopers
they're actually cadian stormtroopers
^
they're renaming Armaggedon steel legion stormtroopers lol
Okay I get it
negative fucking lore for them
^
it was ALL KASRKIN LORE BABY
Lmao yeah
YOU ALL LOVE CADIANS DON'T YA
i want to eat a cadian
Catachan is "Devil" everything.
we did find out what happened to you at least
shit ended up on ebay a few years ago
And Krieger uses all of the old terms.
please tell me FBI did something
I thought that the Armageddon Ork Hunters were the Karskin equivalent
🍿
don't think about it too hard
Ork Hunters are a special sub-regiment yeah
where's the top regiment
They have a stormtrooper squad called a firesweep squad
also was going through the kasrkin lexi page
Lmao I can HEAR the Cadian seething/racism
They actually are in the novels
what the fuck tallarn
well yeah
regiments often grab dregs
look down on these people
cadia is stealing other regiment troops now
from dead regiments
yes
this has been a thing
since 2e
all the regiments do this
Wokedia....
I hope you stub your toe for 5000 years
but yeah regiments can refill using non-natives, its why regimental identity is a big thing to some to the point of like... actual racism/ethicity
which i guess kinda still applies for planets?
especially if we use our modicum of countries IRL lol
I just called that guy a slur
what Slur
CADIAN
We literally look the same
I dont want to hear him on 40k lore chat too 😭
Ban esims
In 40K earth, there is a regiment made from every other regiment together, lol.
Terran Redemptionists
The Terran Redemptionists are pious Astra Militarum Regiments that defend Terra and are composed of Guardsmen from other Regiments.[1]
On Tekken earlier, this guy is 7'5" barefoot, the size of a fucking SM. So damn over the top. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/tekken/images/f/ff/Fahk_Tekken_8_Render_Full.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20250709233521&path-prefix=en
His shoulders are SM pauldron ready.
those ropes look like muay thai fighting ropes
In game, he is from Thailand.
Replace an older Muay Thai character named Bruce, who is American.
so he does use muay thai
Yes
Tbf it probably would be considered tech Heresy to actually make it ergonomic
"YOU DIDN'T GET THE PATTERN FROM THE STC?"
"...bro I literally just added a stock to it. It's for the Arbite-"
"SERVITORIZATION WILL BE A MERCY COMPARED TO WHAT I WILL DO WITH YOU."
insert screams of the tortured and damned here
Cawl whistling in the background
Although now I'm wondering what a Bolter made for baseline humans would be like
more or less the same
I honestly forgot the terminus decree was a thing for a while but left as one of those loose end plot hooks or whatever
pretty much my reaction
people are gonna move on from this shit in ike 2 weeks
literally a nothing-burger lol
Such is the power of the Terminus Decree that it is to be opened only in humanity's darkest hour, when all hope for the race is lost. What happens once the box is opened and the decree is spoken by the Supreme Grand Master is infinitely dangerous and will either save mankind from certain defeat or doom it to oblivion for all eternity. In this capacity it is the ultimate sanction of the Grey Knights, to be used only as a last resort, when all other options have failed.[1]
And then Kaldor Draigo said "you better sit your silly ass back down"
The word of power of "sit"
good dog
There’s many situations when the info in the box isn’t useful
Which is even funnier
The original description was way more interesting than "well, time to put him back on the chair"
That adds to it imo
The mystery better
But meh
The reveal is very w/e
^
prob even shorter since theres not much queer elements to grift on with this lore 😔
Imagine the nids like right outside the solar system, Draigo pulls out the box as a trump card, and then he just reads *sit yo silly ass back down"
“Fuck this is useless”
They'd just find some other way to defeat them
Like
people need to realise
this universe works on comic book logic lol
Grimderp
I also recently learned the Ordo Chronos started a civil war because Robot Gillman wanted a new calendar
And there's a minor Ordo that is there to prevent people from learning how the inquisition was formed
And another Ordo that wants to learn how the inquisition was formed
I really just have a love-hate relationship with the lore
"load bearing walls have been banned from this city"
cries in civil engineering
I’d say it’s limited by the tools available to enact it
Which we of course have boundless capacity to create
https://www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/s/V9Y0LEM9ps
Read this take
What if.... the Grey Knights move in full chapter strength to get the Emperor back on the throne only to be absolutely obliterated by the defenses of Terra, the Custodes and the Sisters of Silence. You'd have hundreds of the strongest psykers and purest souls in the entire universe dying in rapid succession. Almost like the old lore about the Emperor being birthed from the mass ritualistic suicides of the ancient shaman. Boom, Starchild prophecy- Emperor is reborn out of the Grey Knights' unwitting sacrifice.
It's my new head canon just to have a semblance of "yeah this has some logic to it"
Okay so like
And then GW squats the sister of silence, grey knights, and custodes, and we make a new IP --- Age of Jimmy
the entry says IF it come sdown to it
they can literally just fucking show up and say what they are here to do and see where that goes too you know lol
It's 40k
They're gonna shoot each other as per imperium fashion
Not really.
We got no idea what they can or will do.
As ever yall mfers jump to the most weirdest conclusions to whinge about stuff.
Nothing is gonna come out of this.
People will forget it in 2 weeks.
Or the hilarious time it was literally just one word --- "she"
And thus begins the 40k fandom age of strife
Also, no one will convince me from believing that the lost primarchs were two women, and Papi Emps struck them from history because he got really fucking sick of the mommy memes
i like this take
New meme is forged
Some comic artist kind of covered this take
how is the emperor RETURNING considered humanity's darkest hour
it's kind of funny
idfk
Chaos god ascension maybe
Who tf knows
The emperor clearly had an idea
A horrid one lol
the Dark King
plus the new eye of terror that would form where Terra is
I mean to be fair, Coming Back Wrong is a common horror theme
yup
And it can be construed the Terminus Decree is designed for that
But whoever wrote the lore paragraph expressed it badly lol
it is yeah, a contingency plan
so like
Def
It is very funny to read how he considered him returning and giving humanity a chance its darkest hour
the SOS and Custodians would likely help the GK carry it out
Tbh depending on the situation the custodes might not
At the end of the day it’s open to interpretation how he’d come back wrong imo
wasnt the Dark King the fate he was trying to avoid per the end and the death?
and thus stuff like the terminus decree
and when that happens we will get warhammer 40K age of the emperor
He is proof the dark king is born
a complete hellmary contingency plan that has little hope of success and just a way to try and hold off the inevitable
On a less serious note
The Decree also exists because you can bet
If Emps Came Back Wrong
90% of Imperium would be like "but we can't kill the Emperor that is Heresy"
"come back wrong" implies he can come back right at all, the dark king is how he comes back end of story
He could come back in another way in theory
The shards coming back together which uh
Isn’t gona happen lol
...I see my attempt to joke about Imperium having a theological/philosophical aneurysm should Emps turn against humanity has failed :p
bro has a 99.999% chance of coming back as the ultimate evil so ofc he tried his best to make the 0.001% chance outcome happen
Still though GW still can't keep a secret
eventually everything will be revealed in a matter of years
when ever they want to move the plot forward yeah
And it will mostly feel disappointing, either because it really is badly written, OR fandom hyped the secret up a bit too much. Or both.
Bring on the Eastern/Western Roman Empire era I say
Now that Imperium is split in two anyways
didnt they already kinda do that
Not completely yet
We only started
Have yet to get like two capitals
Or greater divergence of culture
well nihilus basically just skipped ahead to the fall of the western empire
Man they don't advertise that far enough then lol
The marketing made it more like forgettable Marine Slop sadly (no offence to Nihilus lore likers)
afaik its just chaos and xenos running amuck and the few imperial forces barely holding on
But yea if Terra is Rome we have yet to see 40k's version of Constantinople (apologies for bad spelling)
Most likely gonna be Lion in charge unless they cook up someone else
its not Rome its Constantinople
because Sanctis is the eastern roman empire
basically
yeah
and like i said nihilus just skipped ahead to the point where rome fell and the western empire just became a bunch of warring states
Oof
Yea big missed opportunity there lore wise
Would have been interesting to see two different Imperiums - just enough to not hate each other but different enough to find each other strange/slightly heretical
Starting to see a lot of terminus decree memes floating around.
Heres the only good one
facts
The fandom does have the attention span of an ork
But you know they will just save this in the bad lore memory banks
And will bring it up in the future every time they say GW is going bad or some ****
idk, they stopped talking about the femstodies fairly quickly
the tithes series being well liked over all helped ofc
i said save this in the bad lore memory banks to use for later
they forget about it but there are still some people that yammer about it
the grifters arent willing to talk shit about stuff that is too popular
tbf an imperial schism could still be made from the imperium being split in two now that the blood angels have regency over nihilus
knowing what it means to be cut from the emperors light and knowing they cant rely on Terra and Sanctus to easily aid them from across the rift should inevitably result in deviations and plans
cue the Terran high lords getting pissy about a percieved lack of faith, not having full control etc and you could absolutely manufacture a soft imperial civil war
the writers probably wont but still
hm, did getting cut off from half the resources of the imperium lead to sudden and mass supply shortages on Terra?
most trade is localised i think
with the exception of any unobtanium things that come from one specific planet, but those would be specialties rather than critical bread and butter supply stuff
Yea, given how warp travel ironically limits travelling across the Imperium per se
With a pilgrimage to Terra said to take a lifetime
The most disrupted trade routes would be the ones smack bang in the middle of where the right opened.
There would be secondary disruptions with those worlds directly affected, but beyond that the cascade impact should gradually decrease.
When traffic even jams/stops above the orbit of the planet millions die of starvation lol
true
Only in 40k XD.
But realistically, even in other sci fi settings, yea, if you have no way to transport the stuff from the ship to the ground, starvation is still gonna be a problem.
Looks at Outriders the game lore
Huh a guide on how to build them on WarCom
A dramatic change
Did, did they pick the wrong picture to put them in the post ?
To be fair head direction does massively affect the feel of the model but these pictures aren't the best to demonstrate that
that is true
Yeah I'm honestly over it. Every single day is a new grift for warhammer fans who don't read any of the lore to get furious over something that somebody told them is actually really stupid
I genuinely think warhammer fans have the inability to interpret media. Anytime there's a vague lore addition it's the worst possible conclusion these morons cling onto
media literacy has long been non existent in the internet
Completely fair point
That's just Internet in general
Not just warhammer fans sadly
It's a rough reminder
too much info and too much proof that you cant trust any source
so people just run with whatever they agree with and dont think beyond that
It's tragic
I'm not gonna say GW doesn't do crazy shit that makes lore cry, but I really don't think the grey knight lore is bad at all. It's still vague enough to inspire discussion
A lot of people are reading that and saying stuff like "how would the GK besiege terra" and its like why are u so stupid
what if like terra gets crazy demon shit and GK arrive amid the chaos we dont fucking know
yeah people are jumping to the conclusion they would have to
No fr
hell depending on how it happens the custodians and the sos would help them kill/trap the emperor
There are so many possibilities just chalking it up to "GK wouldn't survive trying to randomly walk into terra yelling bad emperor bad!" is so cringe
yeah
I'm honestly excited to see if it eventually leads to something it got me pondering
If it isnt women its "they are changing the lore!"
says the man whos been in the "hobby" for like 1 year

40k has a problem of fanon being passed off as canon on various subreddits/other forums i have found, makes things kinda difficult
Man that whole custodes outrage made me so fucking angry it was terrible. The fact that they treat a retcon as "gaslighting"
Helping even less is when GW, at times, just takes (some) of it and makes it Canon.
OK so they are not the only ones who do that but when you do it in a very direct way...
Like sure man I guess the rogal dorn battle tank existing during cadia suddenly is gaslighting too!
yup
You should have seen their reaction to the wraith bone changes
Let me hear it
GW's way of handling it was clunky but one reaction I saw kinda summed it up.
"Wait so, big women are being added to 40k, and people are mad about this? Man warhammer fans are deranged."

it was literally a nothing burger change
Apparently you can just now find these things lying around instead of having to use psychic power to solidify them and apparently that's enough to get them really angry
Even though you can ignore the whole finding them lying around on a random planet type beat
Yeah I absolutely agree there were a million different ways to handle it, ita a shame outrage addicts can't actually criticize something without screaming about marginalized groups in their hobby!
Thats so on par for warhammer fans omg
As a weird tangent, as much as I do not care for women custodes, some people do have weird lines about what cannot be treated as fetishism source media
Even I have such quirks, but in my case, nothing to do with gender, more just "fetishism don't gel with 40k tone in general"
This entire thing is apparently enough for them to go ballistic on GW for a good minute
The world is sunshine and lollipops to me when I'm listening to audio books or reading new lore updates in kicking my feet smiling loving it
even though it's literally so forgettable of a change you can ignore it
so like, they still have witch hunters in age of sigmar? are they still officially called the templars of sigmar?
Holy shit its insanity
"They basically said then the emperor rose!!!!"
First 40k community ive seen that actually digests the lore and is normal good job friends
it helps having mods that actually read the books/play the tt
able to prune the bad apples
Cant as ever wait for people to stop talking about this in 1-2 weeks like nothing happened
🙏
I've gotten into the habit of blocking people/content creators who are overtly farming outrage media and its been so fucking peaceful
the best option imo
You don't need the rift
The imperium splinters and fucks itself nonstop
Always has
yeah thats more the imperial lords warring states within the wider imperium rather than the imperium divided though
ala east and west rome
granted so long as guilliman doesnt get distracted such a schism probably wouldnt happen despite the imperium being literally split in two
I only started doing that earlier this year
the block feature is not used enough
the amount of outrage stuff youtube pushes is outrageous, pun intended
i fear for people who live off youtube shorts
You gotta prune and curate your online experience, as much as you can anyways
yup
like a garden, if you dont maintain it it will be quickly overrun with nothing but weeds
^
that is good but also i just do this
Night Lords: laughing
I curate my online experience to be as much mentally-detrimental truth nuking as possible
It. Works great
I always miss good stuff when im busy...
"Why are the eldar such assholes"
The species of alien witches talking to the theocracy who's top two commandments are killing aliens and witches:
What are we mad about today?
I don't know, how about the old ones
I've spent the day wondering what people would say if exodites became playable, but they got Human cultists.
another army is the last thing 40k needs
I’d rather GW chill on army releases for a while
we have like 4 armies that have half the units they should
And fucking bulk out existing armies
LoV, 3 of the cult legions, Dark Eldar
All have pathetically small ranges in comparison
GSC also maybe need a shot in the arm
Harlrequins not an army anymore
Rip to a real one
LoV did get stufff so 3 of the cult legions, Dark Eldar should be next
Yeah but since they got stuff already we have to wait for a while until for the next batch again
None of the factions that get their own codex should have less stuff then a codex supplement lol
Which is why I don’t want a new army next edition
I want them to focus on bulking out the existing armies
yeah true
Besides if we were to get another eldar army I’d want corsairs
Bulking up armies would be great
Why would Exodites need human cultists ?
To make them hordey/j
In that case why not just give them some Raptors
Small dino to work as fast horde blobs
Because mon'keighs are cheaper
You guys see the new warcom article

Yeah we did
Larmy posted it here
They really, really, ran out of ideas huh
Honestly, I still think they should have put that silly bolter gun above the head on the model.
Next week how about how we decided on printing for the box
Maybe later lol
i like it
Honestly, I'm waiting for the article to show all the models in the saturnite boxset in 2nd founding chapter colours.
We've had GW showing off some MK 2/3 in pre-primarch legion colours.
i would actually really like some sort of GSC heavy weapons team equivalent
would be nice
A bunch of Acolytes(?) with heavy mining gear
hell give them a mega sized melta cutter as well
i still remember in 8th when taking brood brothers was easier and it felt like everyone borrowed atleast one heavy weapons team for mortars just for the utility lol
but yeah you could get some really interesting profiles out of HWT+junky mining equipment
Mining laser
on meth
Have 2 modes, the normal firing mode that the current one has
and some sort of high intensity one
i mean ridgerunner has heavy mining laser, originally the mining laser was lascannon equivelent
apparently a non astartes running around with a lascannon wasnt acceptable so they nerfed it
I want an even bigger one
I know it was a las cannon equivelent back in the day because I was on the receiving end repeatedly
It’s a shame it got nerfed
Would it make sense for GSC to weaponise Ambulls?
No point
Wait, the Ambots
maybe? i feel like it would be easier for them to infect some ogryns
also Abominants I'm pretty sure is already enough muscle
but what if abominant, but thicker
so long as GSC doesnt get another character it should be interesting
GSC tech-priest subfaction
Malstrain
feels kinda bad that they nerfed magus and then added big brain magus with the psyker powers magus shouldve had
I want the GSC to get an ULM (ultra light airplane)
but yeah i could imagine some kind of improvised dustbin mortar for indirect fire, a juiced up mining laser or autocannon for traditional shooting and then some kind of thermal lance as a short range multi-melta/heavy flamer equivalent/hybrid?
Would be cool
combined with cult ambush deep strike shenanigans i could imagine it adding a bit more depth to cult shooting in combination with the usual neophytes and ridgerunners
dark eldar seems to be up for new models soon it feels like
I would love to see what genestealer infected skitarii look like
wicked premise
Yeah it would be sick
CRANE NOOOOO
Never will see it cause it’s xenos
The Homophobic space marine when the the Psychomancer says “I don’t need my nightmare shroud for this” and starts to make out with the plasmancer
I don't think space Marines can be homophobic. They don't seem to understand sexuality at all, so two guys kissing will have the same impact as anyone else, almost none. Perhaps some mild confusion.
Me when I tell chuds who idolize people like spartans what they got up to in their off-time
😭
Even if they are, what are they going to do? Kill the human? They already do that.
I've actually heard people argue that those relationships were consenting.
God
💀
like im sure SOME were but majority hell nah
dominance and being stuff like the "giver" to a male lover were like very creepy societal things back then, im pretty sure spartans to some extent probaby still carried that principle too
Same vibe as oil wrestling
I wonder if there is any Ottoman inspired chapter doing that.
Same!
My perfect warrior society when they lose most of their citizens in a single battle
But they were totally badass guys trust
Spartan MFS be like
"Only men can receive my seed."
It is rumored that the Emperor was there taking notes.

Legit the biggest cope of the century
"Oh they held off the persian army for days"
cool, they still got slaughtered
and they were awful people, so fuck em

Still lost the war
Actually, I think Persia did wind up losing the war but because all of Greece stopped fighting each other long enough to fight them
Also ignores the fact that a lot of the soldiers were volunteers from Athens
Like much more than the Spartan warriors
Volunteers from the neighborhood cities. Athens was still doing the negotiation.
Yeah people just act like Spartans did a big chunk of it when like no
Athens was also far away, it takes days to send messages.
And apparently, the actual Marathon ran from Sparta to Athens to warn the Athenians about the defeat.
Brother was running for his life literally.
Correction, it was for Sparta seeking help from Athens.
So they kind of know that the are fighting a losing battle.
Too many people think 300 is historically accurate
greek statue profile pictures are a plague on society
Who lets their king die in an opening skirmish?
Thats another thing I love
the ENTIRE saga of the 300 is told by a spartan to hype up the rest of greece, its why people dont realise the persians in the movie look like monsters and the Immortals are depicted like monstrous orcs
its to demonize them as an invading foreign entity lol
or why the hunchbook looks like the way he does lmao
wow didnt know that was enough of a problem for someone to make art regarding it
Because he's a traitorous degenerate
The Hunch was an actual soldier who betrayed the city though.
being morally evil just does that to you
His weak breeding evident in his mutated form
This is like 3-4ish years old iirc? but yeah it came about around the height of the statue pfps

Yeah but im pretty sure we got no confirmation if he was even an actual hunchback or not
Not like us Spartans, who are perfect and noble am I right, fellow Spartans?
its not unusual in historical documents for the scriptors to demonize another side by giving depictions like that
ANOTHER 1000 BABIES TO THE CLIFF ! !
its an entire thing, you can google "statue pfp users" for a whole trove of it lol
witts is awesome he did a lot of cool art in the mordhau server
i knew he based like that
I mean, if he was part of the Spartan troop, I don't think he would be a hunch.
Spartan Hoplites are like the elite, greek statues looking people.
Carthago Delenda Est, they be feeding kids to Baal !
The fall of the Roman Empire is only a tragedy because I was born too late to ambush Roman legionaries in the black forest and sack Rome itself
Crazy, I minimize my time on social platforms but there was a small period where I used twitter a bit a year or so ago and they were always super insufferable and saying a lot of historically inaccurate shit
Also, 300 are just the 300 hoplites. There are so many other troops of Sparta, not even counting other cities.
yeah they're still around but not as prevalent
such a shame most people think about these statues as monochrome, when they were painted and looked 10 times cooler in their prime
Yeah it fucking sucks.... even really historical accurate shows and movies refuse to have them painted. So most people still think they are monochrome eyesores.
the greeks painted most of their infrastructure aswell
LMAO
HBOs Rome had the city be relatively colourful at least
This literally looks like a painting
so stuff like the pantheon was actually p colourful
thats how good the set/costume design was
looks p good
Also because many things in Rome were preserved much better than Classic Greece.
So we have good reference.
The past was in black and white don't you watch the old movies GOD
I see in Sepia.
Instead they have missiles
lame and boring
there's nothing intimate in warfare anymore
Ranged weapons are just superior.
we have truly fallen
You're right. If I can't bludgeon a man to death with a club and then get crushed by a war elephant there really just isn't a point to war
back then you had to thrust your sword inside another man
we lost the homo-erotic subtext
we lost peak
The Spartans liked doing that
thrusting, ramming, slashing, grappling, wrestling, bashing...
now it's just shoot, shoot and shoot
what's the point
Good point. Die after you know it will be made but before it comes out and disappoints you
Four player coop please
Coming up with a craftworld name that isn't just bastardising gaelic has to be one of the most difficult things imaginable
Grey knights vs one (1) sister of silence
the rage bait will continue until moral improves
Would anyone be for or against the Blood Ravens being replaced as the main SM representation in the next Dawn of War game?
Blood Ravens are the posterbows of DoW
they were entirely made up for the games to begin with
so they got a legacy positon
So that's a no then.
How did their stealing shit lore come about
is it stated in the games? I never saw anything about it
Second game.
Second game had a bunch of loot
Ah, thats why
I avoided 2nd and third games like the plague
cause they just arent it
there's 2 types of 40k casuals
those who found the setting from dawn of war and those who found it from space marine 1
What if I found it from a cool looking cover at a barnes and noble
then you're not a casual
Shiet
Get him
Waiter Waiter more flanderization of factions
shovels
bottom text
ned flanders?
Hey does Kyria Draxus have a book they are in?
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ironstone do the macanicus have an equivalent to this
The Ironstone is a relic of the Iron Hands.[1]
This device must be mag-clamped to the gorget of the bearer, where it gathers energy from their Power Armour, gradually awakening the cluster of Machine Spirits within. When a vehicle nearby suffers damage, the machine spirits will surge out and swiftly repair the wounded machine.[1]
im flustered
Is the emperor good in bed?
The Institute be like: #fallout #memes #shorts
fallout 4
Basically it's just them having artifacts from
Other space marine chapters
With zero explanation on how they are there
So people started joking about the Blood Ravens being kleptomaniacs
I still have zero idea why, but it's one of like three "old repeated fandom jokes" I still chuckle at
But we got Trazyn as the kleptomaniac now
I am the second type. Space Marine 1 was fun as shit
Surprised still that it actually holds up graphically
It isn't Halo 4 levels of "What type of fucking magic did you guys do to make the game look this good on a fucking Xbox 360?"
But it's there mainly because style
Shes barely in anything mostly
Also uh
Murdering Orks is fun
even her lexi is scarce since nobody adds her stuff lmao
Some of the kills are still like absolutely brutal
I distinctly remember one where Titus literally shoves a chainsword into an Ork's stomach and the Ork just jitters due to it
And that's why people fall to Khorne because it is fun as shit
Now I haven't bought SM2 yet unfortunately

Mainly because I have an entire backlog of video games
And college
It's like the pile of shame

Except jokes on you. I will never get one because I have zero friends that are interested in 40k
Mainly because we all agree that it'd take a lot of money
Honestly besides the story being lame
I feel like a criticism I have with SM1 is the jump pack
I remember it being kinda clunky
Also the Thunder Hammer
Although tbf that is part of the point
Still used it a lot though because smacking people with a big fucking hammer compensates for clunkiness
sm2s alright but its alure can wearoff p quickly
Probably. I mean I'm not expecting much
Just another gorey "I KILL XENO THEN CHAOS"
Tjing
I already saw the story
It's uh
Yeah it's still boring as shit
Tbf I doubt anybody who played the first one was expecting a riveting and revolutionary story
Whats SM1?
But still, SM1 at least seemed like the writers were trying.
Space Marine 1
Space Marine 1
The 40k video game
Oh the 3rd person shooter
Yeah
Woth the orks
Yeah
Ehh dont lile 3rd person shooters that much
SM2, I feel like the writers just kinda were just going along with the motions
Only one i ever realy liked was days gone
Since SM1 had some set up
And there was an attempt
While SM2 story writing just seems like
"Yeah uh Tyranids and then Chaos yeah"

Basically I admire it if there was an attempt and then faceplanted
Rather than
"Why even bother trying?"
Like you can feel the difference even if the result is the same
Does that make sense?
Please tell me I'm not crazy in this instance

Aw :(
I see SM2 is more fan service than gameplay.
thank god we get to enjoy these cutting remarks every so often
She’s exclusively a rulebook character tbh
Her lore is just scattered among rulebooks and supplements
The fact that the beast of Nurgle just wants friends but can’t understand that they are killing everyone they want to befriend
And then they go to into a deep depression where they pokemon evolve in a swamp
Is just really funny
Kek
Average marvel rivals game
I genuinely have a question.
How bullet proof is a space marine without their armor
I think that if you tried to shoot a gorilla with a 9mm, you're probably fucked.
Same with a space marine. Probably would only take superficial damage
There’s your answer
But I kinda wonder what caliber would be needed to be sure
For both a gorilla and SM
Actually would bears be a better comparison?
Just aim higher and hope you hit their skull right
Bears have a different muscle/fat distribution
And much different skin
For something with four legs I’d go with a moose
Apparently if you fired a low caliber round at a gorilla's head it would literally just bounce off
Their bones will stop some bullets, but not their skins
The dangerous part is they won’t stop unless you shoot them somewhere that absolutely partially/totally disables them
People will shut down if you shoot them near somewhere important
A marine will keep going, even if they bleed out after they get you
I remember an excerpt that had a dude manage to throw a spear at through Space Marines neck.
because the MF was helmetless

But also that the SM still fucking murdered the guy that threw the spear before he died
Which is some early resident evil zombie level bullshit
The SM wasn't missing a helmet, the spear just went through the neck armour (weaker as its a joint)
And not sure if it was said to be thrown though
True but it was certainly in there

Why so
I don't think it tells how long it took for him to die either
Give me a sec let me find the excerpt
"Killed ten months ago, shortly after you left. Slain by a human, of all things. An unlucky thrust with a wooden spear.’ Argel Tal tapped two fingertips against his neck. ‘Tore out most of his throat, laid it bare to the bone. I’ve never seen anything like it. Blood of the gods, I’d have laughed if it hadn’t been so pathetically tragic. He bled out before the Apothecaries could reach him, still trying to shout the whole time.’
Yeah I thought it was thrown
Turns out my memory was wrong

Also
"Argel Tal had seen it himself. Sar Fareth had gripped the human’s shoulder and leg, and pulled. The result came away in three bloody pieces before the Chaplain died."
So the Chaplain got most of his throat torn out. But still managed to trisect the guy before he died
...well that is
Terrifying
Honestly, I doubt much could disable a marine enough before your death.
Either way, that stone age level mf probably is in Vahalla
Some other instances of Marines dying to non-heavy weapons include.
-
In Siege of Casselax, an iron warrior died due to being trapped in rubble, and a slave basically repeatedly cutting his neck open over and over.
-
In Pharos a few Night Lords died to some baseline humans with improvised weapons and small arms
This one is entirely unrelated to the topic but I find it funny.
- In Space Wolf, Vrotwulf died while polishing his bolt pistol due to it misfiring and turning his head into a chunky mess. Remember to unload your gun before you clean, kids.
Is there a lore reason why guardsmen have that little tab on the back of their armor?
Show pic
Could be a way to attach something?
Backpack yes
Looking up how bulletproof vests work
Apparently they have tabs used for attaching equipment
Usually a MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment)
So maybe that?
Either that or it could be used to store dog tags/ID
After all Guardsmen need a way for their bodies to be identified
Oh I actually know things about body armor
On the mini it’s sifi nonsense
Yeah I am assuming it's probably just
"Thing there"
"Yes shape cool'

I guess I'm just trying to make up justifications
i dont remember the specifics but their was a marine whos whole thing was jumping under tanks and planting bombs to blow then up he tried it on a grav tank and was promptly pancaked
Also, if you have to worship on Chaos god, what would it be?
Khorne
Honestly would love to be a Magister turned to Khorne, having to claw the blessings and show that being a Magister doesn't make you a coward and that I deserve Khorne's attentio
i just wanna hit people with axes
How does an IG regiment in low orbit deploy to a planet? With mass valkriyes?
Grav Chutes
Planetary Shuttles
The Tetrarch Heavy Lander is a class of Imperial Navy orbit-to-surface dropship. The Tetrarch is able to land an entire company[1] or even a regiment of troops.[2]
The Tetrarch is designed to serve as an armoured interface vessel, inserting armour and mechanised companies into contested war zones. It is armoured in heavy armour and armed with ba...
The Devourer is a class of dropship used by the Imperial Navy[1] to land a whole regiment.[3]
was it never a problem amongst nightlord w all the flensed people they kept around and 'trophies' they like to adorn their armor w that theyd stink literally
Supposedly many of the normal space marines stink too
"Would total unhinged psychopaths be bothered by the smell of the people they kill"
idk go ask them
i doubt he would be able to ask top irl politicians...
Oh man i missed the 300 discussion.
Its a very fun Comic Adaptation
Kickstarted Zack snyders DC career
Watchmen was goated
I found Dr Manhattan a bit distracting
I have a deep Respect for Zack snyders and the snyderverse
Not defending His questionable quality movies but he does His thing
Not like that @crystal forum 😭
zenis gazer 🫵
Bro couldn't get his eyes off of Dr Manhattan's Long Island
a weapon to surpass the fat man
😭 why couldn't they just leave that bit out
It's just a lil thang, every dude walking around naked got one
stop making fun of dr manhattan's SCHLONG
Just dont Look at the balls
Doesn't mean we need to see it
If I was mister manhattan I'd make sure mine was warm temperature sized for real
The true glowstick
The human body is nothing to be ashamed of
nvm steroids

If I was Dr Manhattan I'd probably make myself not look like a glowing blue guy.
Why?
I don't want to look like a glowing blue guy
What color would u pick
ourple
Can dr Manhattan Change His color tho?
ourple guy
I mean he'd still have to glow right
hur hur hur hur
That's his whole stihck
i think his whole thing is that he's literally god
isn't his gimmick the whole cherenkov radiation
True also the blue is Like the blue glow when the deamoncore shuts completly
So the only thing he can Change might be His form
Yea but he can make anyone see him as anything he wants
He's bringing back the blue man group
Says the Bro which rohrschachesque pfp

did you hear that steve jobs died of ligma
Whos steve jobs
ligma balls

mannnn, she’s cool wtf. 500 more Esienhorn books.
Can I say this is the navy's version of valkyrie?
In DoW IG the guard was always using valkryies for transport
That was in a small scale tho
It's a tad bigger than a Valkyrie
It's used to transport 5 thousand guardsmen from ship to surface
Valk is only 12 passenger (or 4 ogryn)
And most don't have Void seals
If the space frogs had just given out some SPF 50. None of this mess would have happened
her arm mounted creature is gona eat you for that one
def not lol
the Navies Valkyrie is uh
the valkyrie
yeah valkyries are part of the imperial navys Aeronautica Imperialis, excluding like one specific regiment i can think of all imperial guard regiments using valkyries need to have an imperial navy tactical wing attached
one of those anti heresy changes to prevent regiments having organic air assets
that said I dont really know how the Dropships fit into the Imperial Navy organisation, are they just dedicated transports permanently assigned to transport that specific regiment/company? or are the regiments kept on larger warships and only loaded onto the Dropships to be ferried to the surface? in which case how do they board them? Also how big are they?
The logistics of actually landing an imperial force on a planet feels oddly under explored, not having a book about a space D-day equivalent feels like a missed opportunity
Because if they go deep into logistic, the setting will be way more grounded and eliminate the fantasy factor.
Like in Starship Trooper, which goes more into logistic. If you actual read the book and not some internet citation, their power armour is pretty shit. The main gun has 30 round with 4 spare magazines. The Mobile Infantry were fighting threats way weaker than them.
The suit is a weapon platform for nuke and propaganda. It destroys tanks... in commercials.
Blessed be the imperial armor books, discoverer of logistics
yes i did just spend the last 30 mins transcribing this lol
TLDR the regiments were boarded into transports specifically arranged for the invasion and get transferred into company sized landing crafts for the decent from low orbit
the tallarn 17th consisting of about 10000 personnel was distributed across 3 transports, which considering its a chonker of a regiment compared to the others depicted in the campaign makes sense
being unable to land more than 1 regiment at once was a limitation due to the lack of landing craft, no specific transport or landing craft classes were mentioned but it suggests transports like the Tetrarch or Devourer that are also capable of landing arent ubiquitous
Regiment size in 40K varies quite a bit, in some case it is magnitude levels.
yeah the examples of kreig seige regiments also come from imperial armor books, but most examples of regiments are around 2-8k from what ive seen
Also, putting a whole regiment in 1 transport would lead to a 1 hit sweep of said regiment.
honestly it makes sense to just build a bunch of transports that can carry 3-4k troops, can fit a small regiment fine and just issue more for bigger ones
considering company sizes are surpisingly standardised in regiments, company sized landing craft are a lot easier to define
the pages before the Imperial guard landings covered the Raptors SM chapter conducting a raid to neutralise the planetary defence missile silo precisely because it posed such a big risk for the transports which if lost could severely cripple the invasion before it really began
God I miss Imperial Armor
literally covering the most pointless details like its some real life invasion is peak
they read like history books, its great
Yeah thats all thanks to Alan Bligh
once he died that entire wing of Forgeworld went with him
sucks man
very tragic loss
yeah you can still see its effects today on modern HH
The new non-black book stuff just has zero visuals, lore or cool stuff in them
he and the forgeworld team had such a nice creative direction
Genuinely
Bligh’s imperial armor stuff is the best of the lot
My only regret regarding anything he’s done is he never finished his final one
Oh also weirdly tall people ig
Fires of Cyraxus, sigh
the fact that people still talk about shit like Vraks goes to show how legendary it is imo, his work lives on as his legacy ironically lol
LOL
YEA WAS GONNA SAY
I think its prob because Anph is like
REALLY REALLY basic as a concept/execution
its still great
but when you say Bligh didnt write it yeah its noticable
at the end of the day tho its imperials fucking around a small jurassic park tyranid complex
also tbh my favorite IA book in terms of the actual like
the modelling master class books are also really good references
scenarios and gameplay is The Doom of Mymeara
Same
100%
the story of The Doom of Mymeara is cool, the missions in it for you to run are fun as well
Imperial Armor is great in the sense of reminding people that not everything in 40k is gigantic big battles.
Theres entire wars fought over dumb reasons lol
me when
*oil
Thats literally one of the imperial armour books
its about fucking Oil
its the ork one iirc
Anphelion is also funny in that regard
"Sorry Inquisitor. This entire thing was a test, die well I guess lol lmao"

"WHAT."
FUCK
That twist took me like 2-3 re-reads to get
its such a good twist
because iirc yeah the entire thing was to train/provide future material for Space Marine chapters that are expertised in fighting Nids?
bcs its really fucking funny
the entire thing was an Inqusitorial thing to funnel stuff into the Red Scorps and their own stormtrooper stuff yeah
Cadia, Kreig and Armageddon is what people think about because theyre iconic pivotal wars, but then they assume all wars are like those when the reason theyre so iconic is that by 40k standards theyre extreme
Yeah exactly
imagine if every war was as intense as the 13th black crusade lmao
ikr
Vraks meanwhile all spawned from a dumbass cardinal lol
i told people like
"You do realise Chaos influence came WAY later right."
and they go "Wait what"

yeah no vraks starting off as normal
before slowly degenerating
is funny
I lowkey would have rather no chaos gotten involved
because it would be even funnier
^
i still find that blood angels chapter master nuking his home planet because it was thinking about democracy is funny as hell
Its not a root in this case but they literally take the stage and uproot the cardinal yeah
Unfortunately we must make Hector "the Aurafarmer" Rex a reality
Well it wans't the source of the problem
Chaos literally Co-opted it
lol
