sounds like something a moebian sympathizer would say
Clad you can read like a lot of words from each heresy book you can understand what she's speaking here
i see my powers of predicting egg freshness are too much for the imperium of man...
ill go to the tau 😡
the savant seems like hed be the one who WOULD have been black shipped
loner is an on the run type and the seer is crazy plus has a mysterious voice giving him apparently good advice
im doing some digging and the seer mentions the imperial truth by name?
that doesnt seem like something a daemon would do since the phrase is meaningless to almost everyone today
like namedropping the truth isnt going to help you convince someone you're the emperor if their planet has been pretending it never existed for 10000 years
the only ones who use the phrase now are space marines right? i guess it could be a heresy-era sorcerer but they'd mostly be CSM which wont be in the game
don't worry this book has both/hj
savant still hasnt been to terra thus can not be sanctioned
you dont have to be brainwashed to love the imperium ok?!
Former enforcer
some people are just born correct and based
being sanctioned helps you not explode though right
which explains why i keep blowing up as savant
They like licking the boot
Yes
I WILL NOT STAND for savant slander
Being sanctioned means they treat you more like a normal human.
I slander all the personalities
bro/sis are the only people that unironically believe in friendship
it seems like if you're not cynical about the imperium you'd want to get sanctioned to keep a monster from crawling out of your skull
getting sanctioned is a good thing
they prolly got invited for a birthday party that was in reality a chaos cult 🤣
Lol, loners barely think of friendships.
but it will making you much less likely to explode
Loners are paranoid to everyone and everything.
honestly the long flight to terra might be worse thats a LOT of warp time
well thats part of the mental trauma
also we know that they can do sanctioning outside of terra now
that the great rift is opened
now that i think about it wouldnt all the sanctioned psykers have random time displacement lol
thats good
for non astropaths
astropaths still neeed to go to terra
which is uh

an issue
being soulbound for astropathy is less fun than sanctioning too
plus you're a disposable telephone after
they need to be in front of the astronomican source for it
Almost always
its like 99.999999999% are blind
let me find the sanctioning trauma table
from Dark heresy lol
And these are only some of the horrifying side effects
sanctioning away from terra makes a lot of sense it was kinda wacky that they shipped EVERY PSYKER across the ENTIRE GALAXY

"how was terra"
"my head exploded"
"..."
"i got better"
Yeah being a psyker that is like bare minimum basic in biomancy
Atleast they give you financial compensation for exploding your skull
honestly the monetary compensation for that one is always funny
because sanctioning is done on terra wtf are you going to do with Throne gelt lol
Caravan dentures formed from the teeth of pilgrims
honestly terran throne gelt is probably considered a relic
the one where you get "married" to the emperor and (maybe) chemically sterilized goes crazier lol
you get a nice ring!
good point, but I don't even know if terra uses throne gelt
and you're immune to seduction
slaaneshi's BTFO
thank you astra telepathica
Some of the side effects are kind of
nothings though which are also fun
"you think you can defeat me daemonette? unfortunately while my dick is huge i am asexual and use it only for peeing"
the high rolls seem pretty good
i imagine the best roll is pretty good since im guessing willpower drives psychic checks?
Witch pricking, Hypno-Indoctrination and throne wed are all good
yeah the top 2 are just really good lol
its free willpower and toughness
tonguebound seems like fun rp
tonguebound psyker on atoma be like "this cult serves uh... the smelly one"
I’ve always personally RP’d it as trying to mention or alude to them in any way needs the test lol
So I’d just randomly cut myself off with like, a weird noise whenever I failed the test but wanted to say one of the names lol
im sorry what
The Dark Mechanicum, or Dark Mechanicus[7], referred to by themselves as the New Mechanicum[6b] or True Mechanicum,[20a] is a Chaos-affiliated counterpart to the Adeptus Mechanicus. Its origins trace back to those who pledged loyalty to Warmaster Horus at the end of the Great Crusade. The Dark Mechanicum serves as a dark "mirror" to their counte...
managed to get Rabs to put some darkmech artwork on the lexi page

btw, its 95 F and almost 60% humidity, who wants to join me in hell
no i dont actually
Oh buddy
Chemical Castration
ah
ofc, not like chemical anything has been around for a long time
it only really started to be a thing in the 1800s
Sick Sota-Nul art
She’s the highest rank of Kelbor Hal’s 9 disciples and she went traitor.
She was the dark true mechanicum’s direct line of communication to Horus
Aha
Yes, i barely remember reading mechanicum. Underwhelming book. Or rather overwhelming. The number of Details and complex descriptions fried my adhd brain
Any recent lore sightings of her or her maste
Kelbor Hal is around
Also, does that martian assasin guild still exist? They were also present in the book
Sota died at some point as did her direct acolytes but her organization lived on and they worship her now
Yes
Whats books has been mentioned in and whats He been up too?
Ironically very little has changed for the mechanicus organizationally
Damnit does anyone have the teaser video they released ahead of Arks of Omen that first teased Vashtorr
I can't find it
Average 40k fate lol
He’s mentioned once in the 8e Adeptus mechanicus codex and he’s mentioned in nachmund gauntlet
Slim pickings, huh? Sucks not to be a named ultramarine
The starting part of this one?
You're going to be hearing a LOT about Vashtorr, so make sure you get a good look at him first. https://bit.ly/3AnMuye
Don't forget to like, share and subscribe and to ring the bell to make sure you keep up to date with all our latest videos!
Tbf kelbor hal always has been mysterious
What have they been up to? They neutral "ish" or on horus' side still?
No not that one
Hal? Oh lmao he’s full blown chaos now
No, the martian assasin guild
I'm talking the original one which only showed the shadowed outline of the character, not the full reveal
They get used sometimes by tech priests of varying ranks
The who and the what now?
Chaos and non chaos alike or only by the adeptus?
The dark mechanicum members of the organization if they survived likely sell their services.
Found it
The taghmata is method of organizing a forgeworlds military forces

Sorry
This one
Yoooo
The reason I'm so annoyed by Vashtorr, is I saw this and was convinced it was Sota-Nul
Her followers are trying to resurrect her apparently
The taghmata nowadays in 40k is organizationally a shadow of its former self in terms of how tight the heiarchy is.
That sounds about right
During 30k it was a way of putting together an army from a forgeworlds many many many disunified forces
Nowadays it’s used exclusively for organization and putting an army together is an even bigger political, egotistical and religious clusterfuck
Also the skitarii and titan legions aren’t part of the taghmata
Because the mechanicus is a disaster like that
I can already smell Gullimann smoking the 3-pack of lucky strikes because he has to deal with that fustercluck
Probably why he doesn’t touch the mechanicus with a 5 foot long stick beyond orders and declarations
He didn’t even organize the crusade fleet sent to the pariah nexus
He just ordered the mechanicus to figure it out yourselves and go help the imperial forces in the pariah nexus
They did the first part but they sure as shit didn’t do the second one lol
I must say i am not surprised
I am pretty sure someplace after the great crusade If it had went to plan, big e would have
Put on ice or killed all the problem primarchs and their legions
Subjugated/reformed the mechanicum.
The mechanicum was absolutely on his kill later list lol
The terrawatt clans and other artificer guilds were gaining a lot of power
During the great crusade
The emperor also intentionally made Mars’s authority on the other forgeworlds weaker
Wow sanguiuis really is just HIM
Learning more about him, dude fr just really as good as everyone made him out to be
So the emperor just plans to what steal their ability to make machines and stuff later
yes
So his plan was literally
Get them to surrender and then kill them later and get their stuff
well the plan was
integrate them, pay them lipservice, have them make our stuff
stab them in the back
Well that works
If he was alive
Anime protagonists wish they were him
the emperor's default of "use something/one till they cant be used anymore then throw the in the trashbin" really makes you wonder just how bad it would have been if the heresy never happened and he ultimately got to see his plans fufilled
that's really a question of bad for whom
if you consider horus's speculated plan that the astartes would be discarded so that humanity could (except the Emperor of course) largely self-govern with a civilian bureaucracy
that's probably better for humanity as a whole, but certainly bad for the space marines
meanwhile the alternative plan that horus wanted, which was essentially Astartes Feudalism, would've been pretty good for the space marines, but probably would've been actually even worse for humanity
at the end of the day, despite the emperor's colossal flaws, there's nothing to suggest that his singular goal WASN'T the idea of humanity as a species ruling entire galaxy
as the end result to everything he did
prosperity's another question considering how he seemingly didn't care for the regular injustices going on in his imperium, but it's not like installing Duke Konrad Kurze of the X Segmentum would've made that go away
we also don't know if the Emperor ever intended to remove the Imperial Tithe after a long enough timeframe, if that was intended to be an eternal core of the Imperium or if it was a provisionary institution for his crusade (much like how the astartes and thunder warriors themselves were provisionary)
sangweeweeis
actually, did the Imperium even HAVE a tithe system during the great crusade?
there's no citation on lexicanum confirming when it started
i assume it did but idk if there's actual hard evidence
They probably just mass taxed/conscripted from the worlds to fund the war effort
It had a taxation/conscription
Industrial output was repurposed for war
Ect.
^
it was basically about as bad as it was during 40k
just less able to spread out due to the Crusade and no Church
Tbh the other thing with 40k is like even if the Emperor succeeded humanity would probably still find some way to blow up and kill each other
that Dr Manhattan quote rings too true in situations like this sometime
He's a good guy until you get to the whole rampant galactic mass murder and secret police bits
Lmfao
I thought the lion was the emperors secret police type people?
And dark angels
The blood angels seem more direct and just throwing a hurricane at someone
A very bloody one
Realistically they all murder people to enforce the imperium's rules TBF but I'm referring specifically to the in legion secret police of the Burning eyes
Lot of recurring names
Iron hands, iron fists, iron warriors
Blood angels, dark angels
Standard 40k things
ironwing too
just comes with the setting lol
Back in the day they did not have much creativity. It wasn't invented yet.
Tru
if fulgrim had access to darktide discord chat, he would still be a loyalist
cause someone probably made up all the legion names in an afternoon to accompany the different schemes for the box
then they were kind of stuck with it
just like the primarch names l0l
Hmm I wonder what is the most popular thing for a retired space marine to do
well they don't retire
but if a marine is rendered crippled they usually just train future marines
b dead
They do. It's stated ultra marines do retire eventually
But second most popular is musical theater
They dont
theres literally never been a retired space marine in lore
I can think of two that were "retired" because they were too crippled to fight but not dreadnought worthy but one trains aspirants and the other acts as a governor or something because he's an ultramarine
even when they "retire" they still do work ala the Ultramarines, so like lol
yeah basically that
so its not even relaly retirement
They do not
its just "go work somewhere else"
no marine has ever gotten that old
and wanted to retire
in the first place
Cassius is old as shit and complains about being old
but he hasn't retired
its like a perma crisis, marines are super needed all the time
tbh if cassius retired
they'd be like "nuh-uh brother, we need you"
I think his retirement would probably be teaching marines how to be even more xenophobic
lol
Never mind I was thinking of custodes who some do retire which doesn't really make sense as they don't need to
It's fine, only the best get to bodyguard Pappa E, go be a big spy for being very, very slightly slower
Don't think they can get slower
They basically the emperors clones
Just don't got super psyker abilities
Wait actually I forgot do custodes use a bit of big E DNA to make them or is that the grey knights
No
Custodes are nothing like marines
they're basicially scratch built from the basis of a baby
Grey Knights with the smattering of Emperor stuff in it iirc
Okay just looked it up they do get the emperors DNA
So basically they are his children
Where does it say this
Then he sees zealot chat...
Artificially
Custode are custom made soldiers.
I would like to see a source on Custodes using the emperors DNA because I have literally never seen this
General is consistently worse since the purge zealot chat isn’t even bad anymore
I just took a pass, not bad.
Codex: Adeptus Custodes (8th Edition) – p.6:
“Each Custodian was individually crafted by the Master of Mankind himself, using the Emperor’s own genetic material as a base.”
thank you
brb
checking the book itself
I got some bad news about your source
its lying

digging through the whole codex now
whoever cited the 8e custodes codex is lying though
its not on page 6
I don't think even 1d4 ever said about Custodes using Big E genes.
@hexed trail yeah no this person is lying, quick control f does not reveal this as a quote anywhere in the book
I will be checking the 9e one as well
brb
Where did you get that quote from
I'm curious now
Chatgpt as it generally gets stuff 90% right but it does do brain farts like that made up quote
Too poor for official books especially in a country where I got to import that shit
Tbh if you want word by word lore just read the wiki
I have a vague idea that 8th edition Grey Knights mentions their geneseed being made with a hint of emps DNA
nah its entirely of the Emperor
which makes like no sense
but it goes back to their mary sue origins
Who else but the most special boys
Either way I think I recall it from their 8th edition
Yeah and the wiki says ratlings are the result of inbreeding which you said was stupid and not canon
ChatGpt took the first results on the internet, which oftentimes misconceptions and put it into answer.
🏴☠️
It is a tool. And you, don't be a tool.
Don't know good spots for books
Jokes aside I would not use chat gpt for 40k lore
its not the best at it
mostly since its an internet scraper
Just look over the internet, there are pdf version somewhere.
Its old outdated lore
for unrelated reasons you should check your DMs
Or naked custodes in 4e.
Bad Laati
Say what? When? Where?
Actually why can't ratlings be the result of inbreeding. The most important abhuman the navigator in the imperium are highly inbred due to their genetics not coming out top when breeding with regular humans
Because thats not how abhumans work
they are mutated strains of humans that only breed with each other
inbreeding is doing it with relatives which makes no sense lol
Era of Ruin
Diocletian mentions them as hes going inside the throne room
so like a month old news wise
Oh no, secret man harem...
Yes
So inbreeding reinforces traits in humans just like it does with dogs and given enough time your genetics makeup would look completely different from a regular human
are nulls more rare than psykers
Yes
how much rare
What are nulls again
huw rarer
However, most nulls are just introvert people and they go undetected.
oh btw can animals be psykers or nulls
Psykers yes
I don't remember the sauce, so I won't say stupid things.
sick
Nulls have been observed in no species so far aside from humanity excluding species that are entirely nulls
Navigators inbreeding has been a thing in lore that hasnt been changed in 30 years and has mostly to do with their powers and more specified genes due to their murky origin in the golden age of humanity and onwards
ratling inbreeding im 99% sure was just a joke in rogue trader against welsh people or some shit since ratlings are just hobbits who are also based on welsh people where brits just make fun of them for fucking cousins or farm animals which is uh 💀
Birmingham
not just psykers, though none psykers wont feel nearly as bad when around them, they will give people a deep sense of unease/disgust iirc
Oh high level blanks yeah they are ultra rare
Ratling has no need to preserve their gene for power. For Nagivators, it is the be all end all thing for them.
no wonder there was like less than 20 psy titan prencepts
Therefore Navigator has a robust gene selection...
as those had to also be blanks
Which is a satire on the royalties.
Also this yeah
I was thinking of 1 blank every 100 or 1000 psykers. But then again, I have no sauce!!!
Blanks while don't appear abhuman often suffer similar fates because normal people often feel unnatural or uncomfortable around them do to a number of reasons
Also with them appearing human and not melting people by accident also probably causes them to not be outright noticed by people
lets face it, many worlds in the imperium are likely full of people that will cry mutant at the sight of a odd mole/birthmark
Prolly some sort of negative charge deal like with blackstone
Power from hyper space instead of anti space. /J
There’s worlds that kill you for being gay still so yes
thank you warhammer crime
tbh its not that hard to believe
idk why people think bigotry for gay people would go away in the future

Because skin color bigotry isn’t a thing as much in 40k ig lol
3rd sex when?
When GW adds a new xenos
I mean it isnt because its too close to real life unfortunately
biogtry is as natural to humans as sucking air so yeah i doubt it will ever go away
But Ultramarine can only be white!!!!!!!!!!
it 100% would still be a thing
Nah
But high level blanks do get noticed as they physically hurt others to be around for most people and outright torture to anyone semi warp attuned
my UBERMENSCH
hating queer people also kinda goes deeper because we live in a largely enforced heterosexual/patriarchal society so its very much ingrained into our minds to some degree that humans should only be coupled between men/women.

Still using chat gpt?
Dilara, send this guy to Lexi.

Okay hurt might be an exaggeration but it's not comfortable for a regular human at all
yeah
Well, they do hurt at some point. I only comment on how you just copy paste stuff...
even a custodian felt unease when the psy titan pilot walked into the meeting room during the seige of terra
but again that was an insane example of a blank
Like people don't realise they can feel their souls until they meet a proper high level blank but when they do meet one they will suddenly feel their soul being oppressed
Strong blank can kill psykersb and lesser deamons for merely standing around without suppressing their power.
yup
pariah nexus moment
the culexus assassin bit from the pariah nexus lore stuff
in 9e was funny
when he realizes "oh this is what it feels like"
Probably because there's actual aliens to hate
Why look at somebody with a different skin color to scapegoat when there's actual robot terminators that shoot disintegration lasers
If alien, why looks hot?
the thing is that doesnt work unless the aliens are next door
othering people only works when the target is visible and local enough to pass as an immediate threat
I mean
hating and being suspicious of your common/fellow man is encouraged in the Imperium
so that kinda falls flat
Also this yeah
when theres no enemies to hate a enclosed populace will turn on each other
Fair
Also Mutants. They're common enough
Maybe with nobles on rich planets but generally people don't look great at all among the lower levels of society
Then again, mutants are less racism and more ableism
and the leaders of said populace will fan the flames as such division as it maes controlling the masses easy
Racism doesn't make sense anyways
its not supose too, its just a cultural thing made to control people
Like mutants can go unnoticed completely until they run into people who actually get medical care
you dont think about it you just follow along because its the norm
^
its just hating something you find strange
at its core its being afraid of the unknown
even if every person in the world looked the exact same we'd find a reason to hate each other, its essentially human nature lol
a core part of human civilization is finding ways to turn that fear of the unknown into a useable tool
Yep lol
its a sad and fucked up subject its why 40k never explores human-on-human racism.
Yeah back home if just two families lived in a valley they'd be feuding for no real reason until very recently
Look the imperium hating mutants is semi justified as often mutants are caused by chaos and if left alone can become quite the issue if suddenly they are possessed or listen to the voices in their heads
Its not justified
it turns actual innocent mutants into radicalism
and as ever makes the situation worse
Abhumen are right there...
Nothing the Imperium does is justified, thats the joke lol
fear and hate of mutants isn't really justified while fear of psykers... yeah kind of?
The problem with psykers is more serious yeah
the issue is they are also oppressed even when they are taught their abilities
and they got their wants and needs like any person
Psykers are walking bombs...
it's the stupid fucking Mutant oppression in marvel/mage oppression in DA shit all over again
Lmao yeah
Even if they don't want to trigger it, most don't even know how their power works.
The hate to psyker is literal fear as well.
Marvel is the funniest one tho imo
"Mutants are dangerous! They can wipe out entire nations!"
Meanwhile the humble Dr. Hoom a totally normal human about to wipe out the human race 🗿
Yeah idk marvel does the whole mutant thing weirdly
here in the states we have the Hatfields and the McCrorys, a prime example of how even small disputes can become a big problem with generational entrenchment and institutionalization, by the time the feud was ended nether family knew how it started or why
What's that one short story where a ship docks and some extra pale voidfarers step out and get killed for being too pale or something and the law keepers essentially just shrug and says sucks to be them
How dare you misspell Dr. Dook's name. Ten years in- oh shit no WAWAWAI-
Dr. Hoom? Dr. Hoommie?
its from Crime lmao
probably the closest you'll get to human racism in 40k
but even it can kinda fall to "mutant" subject
That's what it was, couldn't recall it at all
Abhumans are stable genes. Mutants are legit genetic nightmares often spurred on from warp corruption
I mean no
like of course people are gonna be afraid of mutants when their most powerful ones can fucking destroy the earth on a whim. Of course not all mutants have those powers, but like giving your oppressed minority group that symbolizes real life groups the ability to kill hundred of thousands of people.
like cmon
mutants are spurred from anything
mostly shit the Imperium does on its own planets
we got mutants today, do you think they should get killed lol
Chat gpt again?
me when I'm a mutant(I have fused fingers)
god i just remembered
the dude is just a normal human but he has fingers that are stuck together
oh its more than that, the Strykers exist after all
Navigator are more mutant than abhuman but get away with it because they can see into the warp and help steer the ship
1930 Germany
well more specifically he had his index, middle and ring fingers stuck together
iirc
yep and many other moments in history
its the kasrkin from fall of cadia
he only doesn't get killed bcs his parents are high ranking
It's how it goes, it's half myth but there's a story about two groups fighting over who got to build a church and a bunch of people got killed for it. Just some weird no we're better pride thing
1950 Soviet and China. Glorious.
bunch of mutant hating religious nutjobs lead by a hypocrite preacher that uses alien tech to promote human supremacy lol
his whole insane downwards spiral
in the later half of the fall of cadia books is hilarious
Oh yeah lest we forget
the whole "i'm gona be the one to kill abbadon" thing
Also like
he gets like cut in half by abbadon lol
Big E also almost wipes out humanity with the Dark King incident
Glave is very funny, he really thought he was the shit
so not even hes stable
which as far as ways to die go could be worse
oh he's great lol
Tbh you can see how he'd get to that point
with how things go for him in the book
Bro smokes like 20+ marines, his whole squad dies
Marines are also mutants because most of the geneseeds are not stable.
Tbh if he kicks the bucket now it might still happen lol
Considering the giant warp rift thats gona be a second eye of terror
is being held shut via the webway gate
Technically yes. Like if your gene seed gets too bad there is a non zero chance the inquisition purges your chapter
idk how to forumulate my words about my hate for the whole psyker/DA mages thing
it makes me sound insane
its not even technically tho
they are mutated human beings with extra organs and shit
and there have been documented cases of them overmutating and becoming monsters lol
Talking imperium definition
Me when 21st
Yeah the 21st founding marines
have marines considered mutants
theres something wrong with the entire batch
13rd and 21st
Yeah the 21st was just the bad luck batch
The lemons got it bad
who knows what the fuck the mechanicus was doing for the 21st and 13th founding lol
Still, even the stable ones are mutant.
If Gland warriors are not human, neither are marines.
Gland warriors are born human as well.
Probably found some geneseed from the Horus heresy in a dirty storage area but didn't confirm whether or not it was tainted by chaos
I don't know how you make geneseed that makes someone spontaneously combust out of nowhere
pretty cool though
Chaos/warp corruption in acceptable levels
Sometimes it can also be from chapter practices
Like the exorcists chapter which put demons into the new space marines of the core chapter
Just to exocise them
And that somehow makes them immune/ invisible to Daemons
mfw bloodletter stabs me
Yeah but they have to apparently higher level ones to be able to sense them
Remember that despite so much insane lore shit, those marines are not that much stronger than any other marines.
Like it lets them bypass daemon Spidey sense
A part of me wishes that real racism was in 40k just so that the Black Templars match their fans
Not even the Minotaur, without mastercrafted gear from Earth would do anything more significant than other marines.
Oh shit, my brother and I have 13rd and 21st for birthdays... No wonder.
Aren't minotaurs stated to often go and dunk on other marines just to be dicks
Because they work under the High lords of Terra. Nevertheless, they only fight when the other chapters are down 50% strength.
Would you guys consider Grey knights space marines or does being emperor gene seed make you something else
They can't really fight head on.
If you get a team of DW librarials, they can fight as good as a GK team.
they are all post human super soldiers after all
The only thing going for them is cleaner seeds and being psykers.
And bigger better suits
Bigger? Nah. Better? Kind of. Look cool? Yes.
The minotaurs work for the High Lord of the administratum specifically and in the past whenever he wanted something resolved he'd send them
the new one does the same
she uses them to persuade people and resolve conflicts between marine chapters
how long as the imperial senate been a thing anyway? was it around when the emperor was still up and walking?
Who do the minotaurs hail from
Unofficially iron warriors
Basically set up shop as soon as big e become preoccupied
its what their original designer said in an interview when asked, but this hasnt been presented in official lore
They were originally the logistics team for Big E but were corrupted by greed and miss placed faith
If the loyalists primarchs weren't conveniently lost they would have taken over
A Minotaur wanker, a BT wanker and a GK wanker walk to the bar...
Statistically speaking Minotaurs are UM descendent. Out of universe an interview with their original designer said IW but this has never been said anywhere in universe
Hey anyone know of any artists who do wahemmer taking coms that don’t just draw space marines or minors
The struggle has been real
Damn artists. But minors sell, I guess?
@green loom
Considering how uncommon 40K commission is.
should be plenny
I need AOS comission

And considers all 3 AOS artists I’ve found haven’t been online in 3 years
What if you then find out? /s

Ederiusssss
I would ahve asked him but I haven’t seen him in a minute
But I saw you typing
:)
also another thing
can also go to twitter and type in the searchbar "commissions open" and search some artists there
theres plenty of cringe but also some really good artists for cheap prices

there he is
Berseria is also good
Tbh non specific warhammer artists can also do it
As long as they have reference material
Yeah I typed ‘commission open warhammer’ and it was pretty bad (morally$
For warhams fantasy/AOS you can get away with DND/warcraft artists too
Shit good point
Yeah theres some cheap ones out there
I just did an Idoneth comm
I was trying to find someone who’s done centaurs before
Fiverr?
Pathfinder esp
Hit or miss
Just careful with all of the AI "artists".
I can probably dig around for some recommendations too
At warhammer 40k and AoS
At least from all the slop I’ve seen
The aesthetic is too unique for both
Ironically
You can kinda make it work especially if you can touch things up but there's only like, a TINY niche of anime style artists who do that
The vast majority at that point will just make it on their own
Tbh touch ups are different from complete generation from nothing
And look better than the clean and shiny art of modern GW.
That’s very generalizing
Idk most of the models rn have pretty dog ass styles
Of modern GW art lol
My bad
Also yeah I’ve not seen anything close
Tbh
Something always looks super off
But I don’t look for AI slop
I need to deal with LLMs enough
When it comes to my field of study
There's like....the big stable diffusion or openai one or whatever that made so much ghibli stuff it's literally burned into it permanently
So everything it makes is this weird realistic ghibli style
I don’t have money nowww but later I will, I just don’t want to end up with someone not use to deer/gazelle anatomy and make it weird
No fault to them obvi
Just pop me some details and I'll look into some guys next week
AI piss filter
lol
Literally
The is the species
It’s mostly just this with some stuff
I’m planning the kitbash
So I can have my oc in model and art
My com ref sheet is a mess

nazi oc art
thanks twitter
KEEP DIGGING
Do
Bluesky might also be a decent option to check for artists
I prefer bsky
great point
Warhammer Twitter it's impossible to take 1 step without bumping into a neo nazi
i just like twitter because its full of insane people to laugh at
Yeah alot more of those in twitter than Bluesky
tumblr has a lot of artists hanging out as well, but a bunch of them are also nutty
Tumblr still exists
Who knew
Wait I was under the impression Bluesky was psycho enriched not that Twitter lacks them
Also a bit surprised it still exists tbh what was the other one Mastodon or Mammoth or something
internet be like
[insert site here] is filled with degenerates
he/she says, from a site filled with degenerates
♻️
Only this discord channel is filled with based upstanding patriots
Which site isnt full of degenerates at this point?
I just answered that
#40k-lore-chat is filled with degenerates
my basedness cancels out all u peoples degeneracy
Weirdly tolerable website after the gooner exodus when porn was banned
Still full of weirdass people
Idk whether I’d feel comfortable in a place that exiled my kind
You should join the puritan side, I was richly rewarded for sniffing out the remaining goon dens
Bewarned, the UK just banned gooning
Goddamn that’s a lotta stiff upper lip
Yea, to make people safer online you now have to send your ID to sketchy online websites in order to access them
You say that like patriot is a compliment.
Me after a long night of providing my ID
It is unless ur not American but even then loving America counts
||Negromunda||
Lmfao bro playin w fire
Twitter users would say that on the neo nazi hellsite lmao
Bsky is pretty tame
Can you not lol
“Hellsite” mostly Twitter gives me nerdy science stuff weird philosophical postrat stuff and my enormous stable of celebrity rescue cats
Its absolutely a dogshit hellsite
Warhammer people on the site are so horrid
lmao that too
literally one step and you plunge into a nazi account with a space marine/primarch pfp
Even if it's like a tame wholesome artist they'll just be interacting with someone who hates brown people or something
bohemond moment
@storm jungle I need some unique tech priest art for inspiration
Pretty please
With a cherry on top
The Meme accounts aren't even meme accounts, they're just nazis
Great site. @feederofcats highly recommended
yeet
🫡
Excellent site
I gotta describe a gaggle of tech priests about to have a doctrinal debate
Like xenarites, moderates, dogmatics, biologis
The whole enchilada
You're NOT a patriot?
Not a lot of reasons to be one generally
Correct
Freaky
🫡
Well I suppose? If you only limit yourself to one country. But consider Holy Terra as your country, it's easy to feel patriotic.
Sorry ur not American
Oh also I think you’d like this @storm jungle
Thank god for that tbh
You should be concerned.
Bless 🙏
Based
I've got enough war criminals ty
Not American ones smdh
Ngl I wish GW would do the FW thing
With the edited minis for art
It’s like really cool lol
Even if sometimes it’s silly
It’s silly in a cool way
Same
sorry but I'm not americ*n. I don't give a shit about what happens there
Fuck tech priests are so cool, I love admech!!!
the more its to the night the more my brain becomes Chaos inflicted
Didn’t you have some neat tech priest concept art you made of a biologis Dilara?
They got called the black books because they were big black rulebooks with a number on them
Until they added art on them
lol
Why apologize?
Tavi i forgot are you russian
i am
Better job telling the heresy then the heresy novels
Lol
Alright that explains some things lol
I’m not joking when I say this
But the black books are objectively better
At giving you info about the heresy
they are tbh
2-3 months ago i saw a black man walking by in front of my house, pretty unusual
Sorry for not being sorry. Do I need to spell everything out for you?
Russian moment
U shud b sorry 4 that
people of color are quite rare here in NOT Moscow
What… what the dog doin
The machine god’s work
😳 🙈
and bad words to black people are usually can be heard from old folks
anyway
i think the degree of racism and gay jokes should be lowered
a bit to much was today
Russians are based bc they were literally barbarian tribes like 200 years ago after everyone else had gotten tired of the drinking ur enemy’s blood from his skull thing like 1300 years before that
My parents have worked with the local romani for years/went to their weddings but they still like call them slurs in hushed voices, it's pretty bad
Ok Romani don’t do themselves a lot of favors re reputation tho like 70% have a criminal record lmao
Not that they should have been shat on so much that sucks
Starting world wars
To his credit Nicholas II was like massively hesitant about doing wwi
And then he was right bc he fucked it up like personally lmao
i like my ignorance
i dont know what idiots in power in history did
You started funny and then made it awkward.
WW1 was fucked
there were people cheering for it
in towns in streets people were glad it kicked off
oh god america mentioned in the lore channel, this wont end well
Yea it's a fucked time in history, like years leading up to it poeple knew a massive war was coming and were celebrating it.
Mostly because for some odd reason everyone in Europe was still having a Napoleonic era mindset
that's a thing that happens with me
Despite the massive changes in technology.
So fucked
Like it was common for Germans to toast "Der Tag" meaning The Day and in reference to the day the war starts
People really thought it would be the war that ends all wars
Because they knew there would have to be a Naval showdown between the UK and Germany and they were looking forward to it.
To the point WW1 is still the explicit holder of “The War”
Rip
Weirdly this…ended up being the side show
With the main thing in the trenches.
The trenches were the main aspect of the war, but the Naval rivalry was a major aspect of it's cause
Ye, true
Britain feared that Germany would overtake it's Naval supremacy
and Ironically the German Kaiser didn't see it that way, he thought "I'll have a super strong Navy and Britain will have a super strong navy and we'll both be friends with our big Navys"
Unfortunately no one else saw it that way
Eeyup, poor communication and power driven analysis
Not helped by the fact that UK’s empire…well, explicitly needs naval domination to work
Since UK is…you know, an island
There was also an incident where Wilhelm showed up to a British naval gathering with a shiny new German Battleship, expecting everyone to go "Oh wow Willy old chap, what a swell boat you've got there"
Lol.
Everyone instead read it as “oh shit”
The Brits took it as a threat
Wilhelm II is actually quite a sad read with how he misread things, so many of his decisions were him trying to be more like his British and Russian cousins to try and befriend them, not realising that he was just going to offend them.
The whole thing was shockingly senseless my god
Unlike 40K war which is based & good 🫡
On the bright side it gave us Battlefield 1 which is a hell of a game
And to think the thing that kicked it off was a minor prince being assassinated
I wouldn't call Ferdinand a "minor prince"
He was heir to the Austro-Hungarian empire
…oh right.
Man my brain is certainly malfunctioning tonight.
Austria Hungary was borderline completely irrelevant tho I agree
still considered a great power at the time even if it was an ailing one
hey is there any fantasy gaems and stuff that had moon/moon themed music? i wanan listen to stuff themed around my oc but i dont want ai slop lmao
ive listened to this song so much lmao
I was going to ask something 😔

When does sm2 take place in m42?
thank uuu
I tried to search a m42 timeline and I didn’t found anything
The only thing I know is that the Indomitus crusade was retconned to 12 years
Early 42nd millennium around the 4th Tyrannic War

No concrete date alas just a rough one
Thanks
So it can be 12 years after, 19 years and so on with all the warp shit right?
yeah the Warp is always used as an excuse for timejumps when emerging out etc
I guess that pariah nexus doesnt have an exact date too
Yea you can see it above the red one I outlined
its kept vague for the sake of the writers mostly

the timeline is a clusterfuck

What do you want to know it for exactly?
5 of my ocs are 19-20 yo and they were born before and after the great rift
I wanted to wrote that 2 of them fought in the recidious campaign and 2 fought in the pariah nexus
Yeah I guessed as much
warp time dilation are your friend my good man
its THE most basic writing tool for explaining how some characters in 40k are around so long lol
The warp shit has saved me xd
Yea like for example I got a huge Inquisition warband cast and I explain how they dont age by having it so that the system their conclave-fortress is situated in has some paranormal warp effect where time slows down in its planetray system due to some nearby nebula
bullshitting is the name of the game
They only age when mercury is in retrograde
I see
This is why I exclusively write homebrew for factions who don’t need to care about age/j
Actually no that’s just true
💀
Fuck
The og variants of my ocs are like 19-20 yo (some of them) so I decided to make every variant the same age to keep consistency
yeah that'll do it
Admech, and craftworld eldar

ah nice
Who needs to care about aging
but but but, space marines live for hundreds of years!
That also applies
Tbh
The mechanicus can actually age to death it just takes a long time
Same with eldar
Neat
So before that I tried to make my research to see if they can fit or if I had to make some changes to their age or add warp shit if possible
Now I have to investigate how old you have to be to become a stormtrooper (scion, kasrkin, grenadier) and a celestian battle sister
For scion as soon as 20s, most of them are already pre-selected from young age.
For sub elite, about 25-30s, when they had a few years of experience.
If I remember correctly with the kasrkins you had to be either a super veteran or a outstanding whitehsield
It doesn't take long lol.
Lol
Also you want those guys at peak fitness, which is around 25-35 years old, with 30-35 is the best of experience and fitness.
With the Krieg grenadier the only requirement is
Survive the battle
If you join at 17-18, then 5 years of warfare you are pretty much a hardened veteran.
In real life, even 3 years of combat experience you are pretty much top 10%.
And with the sisters?
Same thing
For all normal humans
Except arbites, they are more of admin than combat though.
I want to make them relatively “new”
Like they got just promoted some months ago or got out of training
New in term of elite new or recruit new?
In terms of elite
For scion, they are younger, so while they have more training, they might not have as much on the field experience as a guard veteran elite.
They survived long enough as common troops or the harsh environment of the schola but they still have to survive even worse horrors
Yeah
Genuine question for y'all that isn't related to 40k specifically
Does anybody actually put an age to their OC's?
Like a number age?
I don't really
Yup
It’s mostly because I want to keep consistency with the dates
Fair
They go through stormtrooper training and it’s also not just one battle(sometimes)
The draft them from veterans
🤓

Non Scion are all veterans, which mean more than 1 battle.
By the time they hit veteran scion and veteran elite guardsman, there is not much different between them.
I see
There is Aquilon (airborne) Scion, they are trained more, but not that much. They are the elite stand in for the Tahnelian, Harakoni and Elysian.
My scion is a aquilon
Btw
How long you have to be a repentia until you return with the sisters?
In the case that you don’t die and survive every single battle
When you are deemed worthy... so whenever they want...
I honestly had the idea of a Krieger OC. If only because the general idea is fascinating.
The problem is that keeping a revolver from an enemy's corpse is probably against their usual MO
Because I kinda had the idea of him having a Stub Revolver for backup.
So it could be the first battle, days or several years?
Also because revolvers are cool
Yes
Several years would be impressive that she survived and still not forgiven...
Maybe the superior didn’t like her

Being a repentia means being used in suicide attacks often
The whole point is to die for repentance generally
Can a Repentia be forgiven without uh
Fucking dying
Like is it possible
Sometimes
Also, you can have sister in "light" carapace power armour. Hospitallier is way too under presented.
But death usually claims them before that sort of forgiveness
Tbf that's because I think it depends on where they are?
They also do wear power armor at times
Celestine got shot in the throat and bled out in a ditch the first time she died
Glory and killing are great, but moral support is as important.
Which seems to be about how it goes for repentia often
I always find the idea of like
A Repentia, Krieger, and a Slayer go into a battlefield.
They all survive and they're severely disappointed

Fair. I think some Repentia are there as a punishment
They just happened to be lucky enough to not be put in the torture mechas
Some? Most*
It’s like almost all of them
Well as a punishment that they don't want.
Some definitely joined similar to why Flagellants whip themselves.

One of my sister ocs (Ryo) became one at her early 18s because she wanted to follow the same steps as celestine, she insisted and insisted until she became one
It wasn’t fun and when she returned after some days she passed from being joyful and very naive to cynical and cold
Having a story with a hospitaller would be way more nice than having repentia, which I think is way overused.
Honestly had an idea of a Sister that really wanted to be a Rememberancer.
But she became a Hospitaller instead.
And somehow she has the best worst luck. She is also constantly one step away from shitting herself in fear.
"WHY? WHY COULDN'T I JUST DRAW PICTUREEESSS AAA-"
The other one (Jessie) just punched her superior and turned into one for several months as punishment
She was forgiven because ryo insisted

Doomguy ahh backstory
My first day in my military career, one of the dude punched a superior...
Oh no

He is a nice and smart guy though, but he was young back then.
