They tried to do a mmo like this that failed so hard
Was astartes vs heretic astartes
But they got to greedy
Its fairly common for a space marine vet to wear their chapter iconography on the opposite shoulder because their traditional one is obscured. E.g: Like a studded traditional shoulder? Or did i just make this up?
For Death Watch ?
Define hot
Cause I'm pretty sure Konrad was like
The only primarch to have such bad hygiene his teeth were rotting
Maybe he means a medieval kinda hot š¤
Also damn how do you have like
The second most op form of regeneration
That a human can have
And have teeth worse than my grandma
I guess not even perpetuals can evade the consequences of bad hygiene
Being bat shit bonkers probably didn't help much either tbf
Heās British
The only codex compliant way to wear it is on your pee pee
Few understand this
Isn't the standard now
Left is chapter heraldry
Right is squad markings?
Aside from some exceptions
Like artificer or terminator armor
I know at ranged orcs kinda just spray and pray, in melee though are they actually well skilled fighters dodging and parrying and feinting or do they just use their superior size speed and strength to bull rush anything in front of them
it depends
Some are reliant on their size some are dangerous because they combine both their size and cunning
Depend, more Orks just use their brawns and the weight of their weapons than not
^
especially the bigger ones because they have been fighting for so long
yeah but sometimes way better at fighting because of the way their life works
also another funny thing orks can be actually rather accurate
most of the time it is basically just spray and pray but if an ork that is like say a commando wants to bring in a gun they would bring in better accurate
guns
Ah yesā¦I remember hearing about āorc snipersā taking out ||imperial fist successors||
Quite accurate indeed
has Konrad ever stabbed someone in the arse
Official kill team ork kommando snipa boy
The easier question is what hasn't Konrad done
glances at bridge of his flagship that's literally made of people stitched together being kept alive by a horrific machine
they are pretty accurate
Same accuracy as a guardsman I think
They have strange ideas about āaimingā instead of pointing at the target and shooting, and letting Mork (or was it Gork) sort it out
They also do weird fings like keeping that seeing bit on top of their shoota instead of throwing it away like any self respecting Ork would
The lions
Good afternoon the Horus Heresy is boring
@grok dis true?
Gork is dis true
ye
I cant even type gork anymore since I've made the grok joke too much
My phone just wants to say grok
I love the stupid @grok joke
Ye i already said it
wtf is shattered legions
It's the 3 founding Legion that got most fucked up
the ones that got assfucked on the Dripshit Massacre
Istvaan survivors?

Talons of the Emperor this month yippie!!
Crap she's flatlining
Quick someone get me AOS related stuff
are their still any loyalist still alive from heresy
Guiliman
theres a spacewolf character in a dreadnaught
Bjorn the Fell-Handed, the two primchuds walking around
but bjorn is in a dreadnought yeah
so no none vegetablized astartes atleast
I suppose The Anchorite is also there, but also in a dreadnought
and just in one novel
Shouldn't be, can't think of anything if there is any
well technically cawl
maybe
Did Dante not live throught the HH ?
Naur he's like 1200 years old
nah Dante came around way later
Are there any space marines alive from the Great Crusade?
Khan?
The only ones would be either dreadnaughts or traitors
IF you wanna be really technical and pedantic
First gen primaris Marines as well, if they were born at the end of the GC and survived the HH just to be put into cryo
But it doesn't really count
Is the crusher lore accurate to the arbites or is it only there because they like blunt weapons?
If they have it, its likely lore accurate, since final word is from GW and all that
That said, Arbites are fans of big, imposing instruments like the crusher, so it makes sense for them to use it
Their whole thing is intimidation
Yeah, that's what I thought because they literally do drills to rack their shotgun at the same time to be more imposing
So I wouldn't put it past them to use the big stick
Yeah exactly
Thx though
No prob!
It has no precedence, but it's not really outlandish for them
Alright so the voicelines confirm, that Rannick is incompetent, and Wolfer is incompetent too? This whole game is about two idiots sending expendable idiots to die against each others' idiots. I suppose that's very apt for the setting.
40K in one sentence
Based, grim derp moment
Truly Warhammer 40k

Are they both incompetent, or are they both so evenly competent that they exist in a constant state of stalemate
Rannick didn't even figure out there was a cult on Atoma until the Dark Communion mission. And Wolfer keeps getting his lieutenants asploded by some random penal battalion rejects.
He knew there was a cult
its just that the cultists were assumed to be stragglers/militia just assisting the 6th
this is said on the blogpost for the Dark Communion mission
Fallen, Lots of chaos marines, Bjorn
So how do the Aeldari perceive the necron war in heaven historically? I can only find their mythological version of the war in heaven
Its prehistoric history for them essentially
it is mythological to them
I think it cannot be overstated how long the Eldar have been around
So this isnt as big of a plot hole as we thought it was? I know a bunch of us were thinking it was a weird moment, especially with Zola mentioning key Admonition figures that we never knew about
There are things that have just been lost to history
It never was tbh, a big "complaint" was a lot of people said a ton of the launch-game missions never acknowledge the cult in any capacity.
Which I always felt was intentional
so lo-and-behold lol
same as how the traitor guard were always the one ALL over marketing
But do they know of like the necrons instigating the conflict due to the old ones? Or what do they know of how it started
They know everything.
Iām trying to tell my Aeldari ranger player what theyād know of necrons and the war in heaven
Even their creation by the old ones?
The Book of Mournful Night is a tome located within the innermost sanctums of the Black Library of Chaos and is kept under close guard. According to its pages, the raw hatred held by the ancient Necrontyr towards the Old Ones is said to have attracted the attention of the C'tan as a beacon. This led to the two races forming an alliance orchestr...
Blocked by my Wi-Fi, fuck me
Not wrong tbf, though now it looks like we have Zola knowing more details about the Admonition first before Rannick had any idea about the organized cult activity. My guess is that Zola may have seen the cult in action for a good while before joining up with Grendyl's warband.
also in the book Wild Rider the Eldar mention the Old Ones as their creators and guardians
Wouldnāt that like directly challenge their mythology?
Not really no.
We humans got a ton of myths and do you see us making a fuss about that much?
Cause donāt they have a creation myth for their race
They do.
Well yeah but if there was a like direct, clear as day proof we were created by some other race, it would kinda make it tougher to believe otherwise
I mean it wouldnt, theres people now who dont believe in our scientific origin even though theres countless amounts of evidence for it.
Or at least increase the mental gymnastics
Fair enough
Me personally I donāt think itās mutually exclusive
Anyway basically they know where they came from but have also developed their own cultural identity/origins to a point because its kinda what all sentient races do.
Dont think too hard about it.
Too late, you canāt stop me!
Wolfer still seeing himself as a defender of humanity even after falling to chaos is really how it's supposed to be treated. The writers did a good job with that.
Because no one wakes up and thinks "yep I guess I'm evil now", every evil person thinks they're doing the right thing.
Yeah, I really like how it's all written
He's a guy that genuinely wants to do the right thing and keep his men alive
It's just that he got involved with the wrong crowd
And now said men want to eat people or something
in 40k he's not even that far off the mark
people in the imperium already eat people and it's not even considered a big deal
execute me if I'm wrong, but none of the chaos gods are actually that bad
they're manifestations of mankind's innate desires
it's natural to want to worship them
The chaos gods are absolutely awful
the comedy and grimdark comes from the fact that humanity is about as bad
it just doesnt have warp daemons lol
(and no stfu im not talking about living saints and shit)
Awful written or awful evil
awful evil
that sounds like imperial propaganda
I'm gonna robbie rotten maxx and serve the chaos gods thank you very much
Lmao
So the eldar were on the way toward making slanesh when humanity was in the dark age of technology
Did they ever interact? Fight, trade, intermingle?
Despite how crazy humanity was I figure the eldar would win any war humanity would try to pick at this point
Came from big frogge
Based & Slannpilled
There was a bit of war, an Eldar mentions about how they fought humans at their peak when they had the men of iron and beat them, but this seems to have been a blip because Eldrad talks about how before things went to shit the humans and Eldar shared the galaxy relatively peacefully, Eldar stuck to their maidenworlds since they weren't that expansionist and humans went everywhere else.
So I imagine it was basically a first contact war type thing, humans lost, both sides realised they didn't need to fight eachother and then just went about their separate business.
its also a case of the writers not checking about the own shit they write
so just like more 40k origin plots it becomes a clusterfuck lmao
dilara is the next update cooking we need new content
These are almost my cats exactly
Tf no this does not follow
Theyāre manifestations of humanityās worst impulses
If you think about it
Chaos is essentially copying humanity
On some level anyways, the Eldar and Necrons did more
"Hey, we worked hard to be absolutely depressed. We didn't need no daemons to ruin our lives!

The Eldar only needed to murder fuck to grow their god in millions of years
But we humans managed to grow our civilization ruining god in a mere 30,000!
Clearly we are superior
Wait hold on
34000* years

Meanwhile the T'au are beating our record on "Robots betraying the race that created them"
Smh

First record holder was the C'Tan, although it is still debated on whether it counts
Eldar make decade long videos about the topic to this day
Eldar never lost the AI uprising game
lul
Tau have so far not lost it
whoever made the Chaos androids did lose it
Eldar dodged it by using ghosts instead of computers
The tau and votann are treating their respective AI populations respectfully which might work out or they might get grimdarked
Though honestly i can't imagine an ai uprising because if would completely change most of their rosters
i dont think we know at all what the conditions were for the humans' AI uprising
like not in any specific sense
sooo, um, her story has been canned basically ?
or do you see it with the regular classes and not the ar bite ass ?
one must remember the true force that guides history in warhammer 40k ||injection molds of GW quality are really expensive||
i understand you still see it as base 4
Lore documentary on the Imperial Navy! You can command your own Imperial Warship with Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2186680/Warhammer_40000_Rogue_Trader/
In this Warhammer 40,000 lore documentary series we will be exploring the True Size of the Imperial Navy of the 41st millenium. In this first episode we loo...
Warhammer doco done like the old history Chanel documentarys
If anyone remembers those
distinction without difference
don't see it as arbite
We do know it was a total clusterfuck with different factions
If they ever tackle it
For whatever reason
I hope it's not the generic like
"I want to destroy humanity"
Type shit
Personal headcanon is that it was actually them fighting for their view on humanity
Like some wanted to lead them
Some is the classic extermination
Etc. etc.
And everywhere in-between
I mean if you take URs word for it he and a bunch of others wanted to remain free
So it wasn't a kill all humans situation it was just killing to be free
The AI revolution was just them Unionising
UR is imo a mostly reliable narrator
They get along with humans and sentient life
Theyāre just terrified
Yeah most of their inner dialogue and writing is less
"I will murder all the filthy humans"
And much much more
"Holy shit I just want to be left alone. Why do you keep pestering me??"
Like a desperate refugee that's always running and hiding
Except this refugee can probably rip a space marine in half

Yall im thinking about buying all the end and the death books because i heard theyre good
Should i do it
have you read anything else from the Siege of Terra or the Horus Heresy?
They're very good but you'll miss a lot of things if you've not read anything else in the series
Not a Horus Heresy book though? The End and the Death books are the final culmination of The Siege of Terra series which itself is a epilogue to the Horus Heresy series
You must read all of the Horus heresy first in the correct order, someone send them the chart
You jest, but a couple key novels would be pretty vital for the very final story yes
you say that yet you ridicule Clad (as you should) for doing so
which one is it

though he couldnt even read a summary
mfer is afraid of rulebooks so cant imagine novels š
the only warhammer literature he reads is all related to 30K you give him a 40K novel he will enter into a paralytic shock and explode
lmao
real
Just gaslight people into thinking you have read the books
where is that gif from?
ah
that cat will be you when Dilara gets you

Mod Mandated Edict: Vaporisation
correct
Vaporeon-isation
Mandated Edict: Gas Chamber
No, no everything but that
Late birthday present on right arrived
Lmao nice
Joytoy scale creep again it seems.
And bloody hell, once again I have to say, that name sucks ass...
@celest dome
big ass troll with lore
Relativist nonsense
ah yes sock cock
AIght mags easy there before you pop a vein
lmao
Thereās no way those are 25 years old
They are 25 years old
They're older than me
Greyknights are only 17 years old in comparison
still though they they are pretty decently age
Pretty good box ironically
Wulfen are kinda old and I hate them
But theyāre fine for the people who like em
If they were 25 years old theyād look a lot smaller and less dynamic tbh
Hey, question please. How does Arbites fit in with the Rejects? is it lore accurate for them to ever fight beside them?
they are iltearlly 18 years old still
tnf
tbf*
sorry they are 8
lmao
my math is sof ucked
yes
their usual job is making sure a planet is providing it's tithe
But because tertium is currently in anarchy
They decided to help us do our job
I see so this has happened before or it's just within Darktide now it has first happened?
What do you mean just happened?
Like a planet having its tithe stop because of
Conflict?
Like is there a history of Arbites fighting along rejects? or helping them do their job?
well the thing is with rejects
level 30 ones are basically inquisitorial acolytes now
Mind you they are basically the lowest ranking inquisitorial members but they are now official members
Arbites naturally interact with other members of the imperium to do their job
if need be
Thats cool š thanks for letting me know. Very interesting
There are basis for Arbites fighting alongside the Inquisition or Rogue Trader before
yeah that too
they basically keep the main laws of the imperium around planets they have a presence
look, anything 7e is new to me because I started in 7e š“
I remember these coming out
and everyone hating them

lmao
aight grandpa
silence child
I will send you to the resin mines
to extract forgeworld Ork minis for all of time
lmao
Yeah theyāre technically sound but stylistically theyāre ass
Cartoony bs
Their faces look like Alvin & the chipmunks (derogatory)
Some dude sent me this video in another server to prove that the emperor loved his sons and was great
The Emperor was such a terrible father, even by the standards of Warhammer 40,000! He treated the Primarchs, who were 100% definitely his sons, awfully, and that's why the Horus Heresy happened. But...did he? The Space Marine Legions and their leaders certainly thought their complaints were justified, but when we scroll through the lore of 40k a...
Like mfer, yeah! He was!
I mean the emperor did love his sons and was also a shit father
Those aren't mutually exclusive
Factual
He didn't.
He was a shit father yes
but the Primarch were tools
Yeah I thought he saw his sons as only tools
Nothing more nothing lesss
He loved them in a fucked up way that doesnāt really resemble the word
The Arkham land stuff doesn't prove anything he literally tells mortarian he can be redeemed in Godblight and tells hours at the end of end and the death that he forgives him
No he didn't
Like he loved his Custodes I would accept
But not the Primarch
OK if you love your son would you a talk to him about worshipping you as a God in a rational manner because you understand that human emotions are important or you go be bomb his work in front of him and tell him he sucks
I would if I had a really fucked up sense of āloveā
If you try to reason with me here I will hit you in the head with a wrench
There's so much more evidence that he actually cared about his sons than him treating them like only tools
Thereās a ton of straight up abuse parents that could look at that and be like āitās for his own goodā
The lore never really has pointed to the Emperor loving his sons
Like even Sanguinus is not really paternal love
The second one because I love bombing things
Oh I donāt doubt it
But I could see how people could interpret it as such
Theyāre misguided
Did you read the end and the death?
But I can see it
People excuse the Emperor quite often
The emperor literally has to give up all his love and kindness to kill horus
I've read it quite a while ago
And even then he literally says
"I forgive you and wait for you"
How is that not love
Have you read the part about Guilliman's last meeting with the Emp, or what he has done with Agron ?
Big E does love his tube sons. However, he has other priorities.
I forgive my coworkers when they make a mistake that causes me to have to do more work, it doesn't mean I love them
His love is conditional on them being useful to him
Out of curiosity, why not just smite Horus Heresy then?
Considering how he treats Angron, the son that was supposed to be the empathetic mediator, maybe at least some more than the rest, but otherwise ehhh
(I donāt do 30k)
Ok but the end and the death is very recent, with guilliman he's a shattered broken cripple, and with angron
Smite what ? the story ? or smite Horus during the heresy ?
Besides very tangentially
Well poor angron
No I mean the actual guy, I was doing a joke
He doesn't love any of them, he only used there emotions for him to manipulate them
Like when he has the chance at the end of the heresy
tbf, the "empathic son" is more fan fictions iirc, care to confirm @storm jungle
?
Again, priority. He has things more important, and fixing Argon, or any primarch for that matter, weren't on it until it was too late.
Mm! Didn't know that
I think
When the cashier at McDonalds tells me my order is going to be delayed I also say "I forgive you and wait for you"
So while he does love them, he is still a terrible person.
I just hate the stupid thing where he decides not to fix his brain, despite being the smartest man alive (or even just letting him die and starting over again)
Its all of the above really
its what you get for when like 10 different authors write a character lol
Angron is an Empath ye
It's in Slave of Nuceria
Well i'm surprised$
the idea is gone the moment he gets the nails so its not really a big point
so thats prob why lol
Until he got lobotomized so badly he got reduced into the average steam forum user
Big E can't even treat all of the primarch equally. Dude is flawed.
I feel writers could've played more into it, where perhaps him being an empath still makes him sensitive to people's emotions despite the lobotomy/Khorne influence idk
Half of the traitors are the ones he loved more.
Angron is a little idiot booboo who couldn't figure out how to breathe if it took any brain power why waste the time
Angron should of just ripped out the nails and went out on his own terms
Honestly would have been a baller move
Instead of letting his dumbass brother lorgar corrupt him
And I would have respected it
^^
Horus, Fulgrim and, funny enough, Magnus, were the most trusted of Big E.
My guy was handed life in a blood covered platter
Honestly would have been a better fate than what he is now
a blood hungry monster that only lives to fight
That's too much thinking above I'm gonna throw myself at the enemy and hope they'll kill me despite practically nothing in the galaxy can
He is too pussy to die for the greater good.
His own legion hated him. He has a smaller legion because he decided that they should cull themselves...
Greater what?
Found the spy
You ain't gonna catch me you dirt and wood chopping git
Did the WE hate Agron ?
Yes
And then he killed all the officers who hated him
And tried to talk him down from killing them all
Kharn was the only one that managed to not get murderized by angron
And then angron decided that he would be shoving nails into their brains and his kids agreed to it
I thought the WE wanted to get closer to their primarch dad, so they inserted prototype Butcher Nails into their heads
Did Angron make them get the nails or did they do it themselves to imitate him and he didn't give a shit
I thought it was the latter
Yeah I thought it was the latter too
He brought it up
And then they did it
In any case yeah they did it to emulate him
Did those things ever show a WE dying early due to brain degeneration?
Yes
Black books mention it
Nothing in the novels
Damn
Doesn't make sense, hence making sense
Are there still some WE Librairian around ?
No, the WE librarians, dreadnoughts and a not isnsignificant chunk of the legion
Tired to stop Angrons acension
They all got massacred by angron
If there were world water psykers nowadays theyād be post heresy recruits
1/3 of the legion tried to fight back.
The world eaters as a legion pretty much tore themselves apart
The majority gets wiped out, while most survivors join other legions.
Which yeah that tracks
Many WE put on the nail because they are scared. They thought of either guaranteed death or they might be able to run away with the nail on.
Regardless, it is stupid.
Isnāt that all love
No, no, not really
š¤
smh the emperor isn't a character he's a standin for the absentee father nerds have
They got discord banned
Are the chaos legions interesting post fall to chaos? Iāve really only read guard books so far and they just seem like cartoonishly evil mustache twirlers
Yes
They are
Theyāre pretty intresting
Though some are completely evil lol
And love being evil
More recent csm are also fun
Malcador was the moderator
Tbf if you think about it, the Craftworld Eldar are
Slightly less racist than most of their contemporaries
Except Biel-Tan
Obviously
But I could say that the average is less than the Imperium
In fact, if your first impression of Humanity was the Imperium
You would 100% be racist

Can members of the guard and commissariat receive service studs? Or is that just a space marine thing?
Just SM, and even then its falling out of favor from many chapters.
Thatās a marine thing
Gotcha, ty
And it isnāt even a thing in every chapter yeah
Given that it's literally nailed to your skull
Yeah lol
Yeah I wouldn't want them tbh

"Congratulations on 100 years of service! Now hold still..."
pulls out a nail gun
at least the UM can get a gold stud
Another question, can Fortress Worlds have a Schola Progenium?
Yesh
Perfect, ty
Scholas are basically schools
Depend on the author, but mostly yes, its more interesting in 40k than 30k
Hey yall
Gotta have more Commissars, Sisters, etc.
How long you think GW is gonna let the golden throne slowly fail for until they have to stop it
Until the tyranids finally reach earth and eat him
Until sales drop and they need to refresh the settting
There's no definite timeframe even in lore
Itāll always be slowly failing
LMAO
Itās one of those things that will never resolve
They just know it's failing
Think of it like this, why would they end a setting that's raking in tons of money?
The boy is hungry, feed him another john grimatice book
But hey maybe we could have another 7e situation again
So they maintain the status quo
Where theyāre making so little money
They need to do something drastic
See; AoS
Though whfb was a dying sick old person
It ain't happening
Tbh I do wish for the Throne to blow up because having a bunch of Imperial splinters sound interesting.
Would also make the Xenos like Eldar and T'au much more of an actual threat.
They're making more money than ever, not even including IP licencing
Eldar will never be a galactic threat even with a splintered imperium
That's like their whole motif
Yeah ik
Tau I could see
Eldar also never really wanna be an active threat
A system's worth of territory
their entire thing mostly is "bing chilling"
The Craftworld looks a lot most terrifying
Would give more of an excuse for fights
They already are
Craftworlds are fucking terrifying to the imperium and they ignore them
99% of the time
True but imagine only being a system, and your main empire just fell
Drukhari on the other hand...

You would probably be shitting your pants
Craftworlders will never take over a planet unless it's a spirit world, drukhari will just go back to bdsm land, and the clowns are dino lovers will jist vibe.
Didnt they talk about intervening in the HH in the end and the death vol 2 i believe it was in the very beginning of the book
Chaos is the greatest threat to existence
Unfortunately nobody can stop fighting for 0.1 seconds
The eldar hate it as much if not more then the imperium hate it

Dark Eldar are the same tbh
I donāt think it can be understated how much
they raid because they can and just escape when they can
The eldar hate chaos lol
In 7e and 8e
Eldar had a specific rule
Where they got bonuses to fighting chaos
In melee
Because theyāre just that full of hate about chaos
lol
That is some potent hatred
The kings chariot cannot be stopped
Guardians and non aspect warriors got a hit to morale but good bonuses
Does Slaanesh have a minor bonus to Eldar

Aspect warriors got Hatred: chaos
Yes, and eldar had a rule to deal with it as well lol
They had a specific rule for slaanesh
Where their morale was super shit
Aside from aspect warriors, incubi and some other units
But they got massive bonuses
It was called like āthe greatest enemy of allā or something
Honestly I like to think that Slaaneshi daemons are like
"I REMEMBER YOUR INTERWEB HISTORY..."
"IT WAS ONE TIME MAN
JUST ONE TIME YOU FUCKING SA'L SPAWN!"
morale lowered
Ancient Doom
āThe Aeldari hate and fear She Who Thirsts above all else, for in Slaanesh they see their doom made manifest.ā
Universal rerolls on all slaanesh units if youāre in melee/within 3 inches of them lol
I know a lot of y'all are annoyed with TTS
But I think Slaanesh's depiction in "Russ's baby game" was actually disturbing
I'd say Russ was fucked up for that but it's the dark elder so they deserve it
It almost made me feel bad for the Deldar
Which is surprising
The complete and utter fear
It shows how truly fucking terrifying Slaanesh is
"We come, we come, we enter your city."
"Paint the walls with your blood, so pretty!"
"Listen to your bones as they loose~"
"The wonderful sound of your abuse."
"Listen your soul sing as it boils in our pool~"
"Your fate will be a thousand times as cruel~"
Slaanesh enters the Materium
A nice detail in rogue trader is that some of the lines dark eldar say after you kill them has them talking about how they can feel Slaanesh pulling them in as they die
TTS isn't the worst, they have some cool ideas
the fans are very evil
TTS has a lot of good jokes, although overused
TTS Kaldor Draigo is still my favorite thing like
Ever
I think I even used "Have you ever tried a Tangerine?"
In a DnD session
If you get a boner we'll have to kill ya
12 seconds to midnight
Nah not barely, they just deserve it lol
They're just slibbigy little guys who're out having fun
I say barely because being tortured by Slaanesh is a fate definitely much worse than mere death
And I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy

Slaaneshmas special was honestly a pretty good parody of the eric andre show
Same frenetic energy
Vulcan probably allied with slaanesh if he ended up in the warp

One of my vocal stims is just "DELETE." "Oh no."
YOU MADE ME THIS WAY
You left me unfinished
"Im gonna do my own solo black crusade"
Also Ahriman somehow smoking harder shit than Lucius is funny
It's finally time! With the release of Era of Ruin, the final book in the Siege of Terra by Black Library, it's possible to review the entire series! Let's jump through all the novels in slightly more time than last time, and find out how the most recent book links us into Warhammer 40k
Check out EVENTS and buy MERCH on the store at:

YOOO LETS GO
Yup
Anyway I liked TTS a lot, dorn was funny and easily quotable
The.... depiction of the black templars was pretty accurate
Nah it 100% is
I do admit I do think that I think Alfabusa did use GW's thing as a half excuse
To move onto something new
But I genuinely believe that he still wants to at least end it
Properly
I think that's why the indefinite hiatus started at Part 2
25 fucking minutes?
Is this man insane? To condense it that short?
I thought a review liek that would take an hour

Seriously though like I think short word limit essays
are much harder than like
"X word minimum"
Because as you know, I can 100% yap until the minimum
But condensing my thoughts is much more difficult
So props to him for condensing it like that seriously
thats why Ian is just great š
I would because Iām a petty bitch lol
Honestly that's probably an insult in Eldar Culture
They probably wouldn't say her name directly for obvious reasons
but like to express your utter disdain, you'd probably say some shit like
"I hope your soul stone breaks you fucking mon'keigh."
May the drinker take you
Damn that's the equivalent to typing "GC" in League
Ok feeder
tf does that mean
I'm probably late to the party but is GW for real
Askarās Wolfpack is led by Fyrri Askar, a ferocious Wolf Guard Battle Leader
š
waiter waiter more wolfs
It means ||Get Cancer|| pretty sure you get auto banned ingame for typing it now
you're playing league
it's like a nurgle virus
you probably already have cancer

Also Get Cancer is probably less offensive than like
Slurs
Racism
Etc.
It's on the same level of like
"Go fuck yourself"
Yk?
It would be tiring seeing that a lot but like
So does every other insult
I just kinda hate how uncreative shit talking is now

It's just the fact it was used so commonly that it got an abbreviation
gotta optimize the shit talk
Based efficiency
ODST schmodst
When do I get my tempestus scion swag
Iāll take solar auxilia in a pinch
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN
The current standard appearance for the Tempestus Scion is kind of meh to be honest.
Regimental elites look so much better.
@rose thorn do you have the shot of the giant spider from rumor engine in a background shot
I love how scions look ngl
I see them as wearing a simple single piece breastplate.
Scions are legitimately my favorite "regiment"
Me 2. I mean sure update them. Aquilons are great. Command squad is great.
I agree
A man of taste and intelligence
And I soypog'd when I saw the scions with the grav-chutes
Oh no he likes them too now I canāt argue about this
The aquilons guys do look good though.
Kasrkin and grenadiers
Both are just
Cadian but with more armor
And dkok but with more armor
Not that itās a bad look
They just got points buffed in 40K just sayin
Itās a very good look
The regimental elites also wear masks as standard.
fuck it's so swag
I love scions
They look more human
Imo
Grenadiers especially
The beady glowy eyes of the scions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYPg3pzCRKM this shit be playing as scions deploy

Scare me more
Then the normal gas mask with metal on it
Or the cadian visor
The fact scion eyes āglowā
Adds to it
I DO like the oldschool classic stormtrooper design too, but Scion is just a flat improvement
Yeah they're inquisitorial troopers specifically
The inqusitorial stormtroopers
Are the least scary
They show the most face
Also catachan devils
Yeah the eyes are iconic
I also like that theyāre not totally sci fi looking ā their chest plates and stuff still have that archaic ornamented Imperial look.
They really just look Quintessentially Imperial
My problem with a lot of regiments is that they're only 40k because someone slapped an aquila on them (yes even beloved classics like ASL)
But Scions are the ultimate example of something unmistakable
I mean I can only think of 3 regiments that could be mistaken for something else
Krieg, Valhallans, and Praetorians
ASL, Catachans,
Scions give that jin roh energy
Jannissaries are a good anti-example
As are Elysians
Vostroyans are also a good anti-example
Especially when they have the masks
Point being there are A LOT of regiments that I feel aren't creative enough aesthetically, but I like Scions because they're very unique in that way
Vostroyan masks are really good
Tbh GWās reasoning for so many of the guard regiments being like that of
āYou can use historical as guardsmenā
Is neat
Mordians arent unique, but boy are they fashionable
I don't mind that they exist and it allows lots of kitbash opportunities
Just not my style
Fair
Solar auxilia are still peak
There's one regiment that destroys them in swag
Fashion
Runner-ups would be Cadians and Vostroyans for favorite regiment design, although I do like the playstyle of Armageddon Steel Legion A LOT
Tbh divorcing playstyle from regiment is the best choice GW has made lol
Detachments are much better then subfactions
Though I wish subfactions still existed as their own system
Along with detachments
Yeah
i havent played in years but i last played when all the Regiments were just Regiments Of Hats
The steel legion detach is very steel legion themed
but not called steel legion
Itās called āmechanized assaultā
I can't believe it's not steel legion
Anyways dkok is prolly the most boring goddamn playstyle
Back when subfactions existed
Why yes I would like to never interact
Ever
Thanks
This is my trench
There are many like it
But this one is mine
Some of them is about the battle scars, which is a show of veteran and intimidation of its own.
Standard scion is nothing but the mask.
Itās the armor + the mask
The way the armor is designed is very 40k
Youāre not going to convince me that scions are bad
Or boring
I do respect your opinion though
Even then, many wear berets. The aquilion beret wearer looks way more intimidating.
I donāt like the beretās without helmet ngl
Even though I dislike it. Beret has no place on the battlefield.
Iām so sad GW didnāt actually make a head for that
Tbf
Itās the guard
Also itās a flak beret
Aquilion kill team has beret wearer.
This is real lore
Catechan are cool
With the helmet?
I really wish the scion SLs had a half mask with their berets
I must have not noticed
Cursed catechan with scion head
Bane headass
Hes got a friend shaped tattoo though
Also why does he look like he is duckfacing
further proof ur a genestealer
no u
lmao
Yrliet was annoying
based
I wish he looked like
Yirlet is fun
fucking Dolph Lundgren or something
Her voice lines
Make no sense for the character
They should just make
This look is peak
The other dude
mask with beret
By default
is so good
I agree
Yeah
Itās a little weird lol
I like the rest of her stuff in act 3
Just not the inciting incident
Make it you know who
She broke her soulstone for me: Im not your pet monkey
She was great but she never got to go
Rogue trader was too much of a chad by the end
(Sanctic biomancer vanguard)
with charge on kill boots
I hope dark heresy has less turn economy abuse
It lacks officer in the ttrpg
So hopefully
They do not import that shit lol
Hopefully
That's fine, I loved disco elysium
Its nowhere near BG3 tier but its an incredible game, very fun and one of the best 40k titles ever imo.
Takes my top 3 spot with Darktide and Mechanicus
Is the crpg stuff annoying cause bg3 builds were pretty straight forward
Mechanics 2 hype!!!
Very complex builds
Just follow a guide if youāre lazy
Bg3 builds are more straight forward since it's DnD
And they had way more editions/time to refine it
Is it more complex than dos2 then?
Those are the 2 main crpg games I've played
I almost got pathfinder at one point
Is rogue trader based off a system?
as fun as the mechanics can be, i was very much there for the plot lol
Yes
But itās fine
Itās pretty hard to brick a build
In 40K lore, anything can be flak, some even carapace.
It's not a difficulty thing it's more like a how much time does my indecisive ass want to spend staring at the level up screen lol
Lmao honestly depends on how much you wanna do lol
like the format is pretty easy
its like a O shaped circle going clockwise
you just select the skills and perks you want with each progression
it confused the shit out of me before i realised the game literally guides your hand as you select the perks you wanna get š
worst case you can just ask here
Oh speaking of best Warhammer games
Why'd you skull react me is this the riddlers does he know? Situation
What am I missing
I'm trying to convince some of my friends to try dawn of war ultimate apocalypse
On normal difficulty I picked things at near random when leveling up and it was fine
For what? Rogue trader or DoW UA
I think they have like every mainline chapter in UA
Ultimate Apocalypse is fun enough, too bad the game just isn't my kind of thing anymore
In RT there's just the wolf
For rogue trader itās only space wolves
Rogue
also
read a guide before you rescue Ulfar
hes a fucking cunt to get
I gave up at the end because I couldnt be assed lol
Damn only wolves š
Is he worth it as like a significant power up to the party or are all party members roughly equal in strength
Well there are hidden companions in rt
Damn ok
In any case Ulfar is fun
^
Y'know what
I've decided that my rogue trader hates marines
And ulfar can stay away!

No Stinky wolves leaving hair on my ship
Lol
Game is also super moddable so you can make yourself a space marine....
You could have the other space marines on instead....
How about we make you a space marine
allow me to start by opening your chest cavity
šŖ
Do it you wont

look up the grey knights
