Don't the subtitles say emperor tho or am I just misremembering
Pretty sure it says [mysterious voice] Rise, son of gulliman
It used to say Calgar
Lol
Has emps ever been voice acted before
Not to my knowledge
I feel like he shouldn't be
If big e has a voice it should be 1000 different people mixed together
Psychic tyrannid can delete even SM librarian in some cases.
Emperor: looks at custodian theyre never gonna believe you
We know what calgar sounds like in titusland from sm2 now is it the same voice
No
Calgar has had a few voices
He’s in audio books
Depending on the number. Because not really.
You know what would be a good fight
Yeah but if its the same actor between sm1 & 2 its probably calgars voice
Siggismund vs. a demon primarch without their insane plot armor
I love how the templars are always there to give a big fuck you to the black crusades
Siggi got wrecked by normal fulgrim
Sigismund would literally get folded like a lawn chair
Even if I like him
He’s gona get cooked
How did he die again i forgot
Abbadon
Stabbed by Abby.
First black crusade
Didn't abbadon leave him stacked on a throne of black legion corpses
Abby used heal bots
Diffrent dude who fought abbadon
He sent sigismund’s dead body intact back to terra
Though, fighting primarch is a magnitude harder.
With all his armor and war gear
Ah
Man too bad sinngunius is probably never coming back
Some people must stay dead.
Otherwise, it becomes like Marvel and DC, which is awful.
Sang is fucking dead
God please just keep the dead primarchs dead
GW probably won’t exhume their corpses
Until they’re extremely desperate for cash
Make ferrus lead the legion of the damn
He got diddled by horus’s galatic temper tantrum
When death has no meaning, then life has no value.
No.
He'd still be dead
Lol
Me omw to fuck up my dads top secret project because i just cant go to terra and tell him
Yes should be
Mark Wahlberg
The one true voice of the emperor
Nah i think they opened the flood gates with the lion and girlyman
If hes going to be voiced by anyone it should be christopher walken
Lion and gulliman were alive
^
Healing in stasis, it was known lore
We haven't had any revived actual dead bodies
Ah
Sanguinus got cut in half or some shit
He got fucking crucified lol
"Owned" perchance
Wait so is rorgal dead or just out somewhere doing whatever the fuck
Dorn is dead
No he turned into a tank
They told him he could become anything
So he chose
Autistic ass mf spent all his time playing World of Tanks anyway
Dead as a dorn-ail
I love dorn
Dorn is unknown status
they found his arm
I will gladly build a comically large sandcastle to defend terra
so like, is Cadia in segmentum solar or obscurus?
*was
Lies, gman fucking died in the process to revive him and also Khan flatlined against morty
Believe they were literally right outside the eye of terror
I forgor about Khan
Guilliman was whatever
that was just a writing choice
thats my opinion
Gman has died multiple times
The pylons on cadia actively held the eye to its former size iirc
he has died once aside from gathering storm
Could vulkan come back or nah
Which is why we're in the situation we're in
so your results ,may vary
in part yeah
something else also happened
Vulcan probs just relaxing on a feral world teaching the people there steel smithing and love
This is the question we should be asking
Which primarch would play deepstar galactic
You mean deep rock galactic?
Honestly peterturbo or dorn
they would both play and spend every moment of the run killing each other
and they would ether be engineer or driller mains
Dorn is 1000% engineer main
Corax is so fucking invisible that no one cares.
Corax and Jagathai are playing as Scouts
Nah Jag is tired of runnin
He’s become a fat Asian grandpa. Buffs by making the rest of the team feel ashamed
🗣️ **After learning more about the lore (should be obvious at first glance), the Imperium of Man are the good guys. Chaos is the bad guys. There's a clear cut good and evil in Warhammer 40k.
If you consider everything. Imperium is the best hope for humanity, there's no alternative. Enlighten me if there is, but there's currently no large human faction that's capable of doing anything significant on a large scale etc.
Roleplay and fandom aside, because you can like any faction and that's fine obviously. Etcetera
It's all for fun. It's not real life. (Yet Lol)
However, there's definitely a good vs bad concept in there buried underneath all that grim dark.
I don't understand why people say all factions are bad and this weird gray morality. There's definitely a clear cut bad guy, or evil. If anything.
Which is Chaos, chaos literally just wants to destroy or corrupt everything etc.
Thoughts and opinions? **
I know it's obvious or cliche that I am an Imperium fan supporting the Imperium. Obvious bias but still.
currently the imperium is the best hope has it always been the best hope no
Yeah, the Imperium is the only large human faction. Unless I'm blind.
wasnt always is what im saying and they definitely werent the nicest
I think the height of humanity was the dark age or was it called something else? They had crazy tech but AI Skynet ruined it. Like a subtle warning to the viewer IMHO about AI in general IRL. I think the author intended it to be that way.
even after during the great crusade their were a lot of decently sized human empires that got fried cause didnt wanna be under big e
Dark Age was its pinnacle but humanity was as divided as ever, there was no singularity and we got no idea what started the uprising so we cant really blame AI when some also took humanity's side.
The only one that survived, only option now. Best to just lock in. Unless games workshop pulls a Warhammer fantasy Bretonians in space 2.0 but that's not much of an upgraded viable option. Lol
It's pretty much the same as Imperium, but more bagging on the peasantry than usual.
Also theres no good/bad concept, everyone is bad. Especially the Imperium of Man, GW said as much.
This is how you slowly go down the route of apologizing for the stuff the Imperium does and fall down the rabbit hole.
the raging murder blood demons ARE the good guy you dont understand

They weren't strong enough too though, so even if they had good morals and honor etc. How would they hold off against the terrors lurking out there in the universe?
They werent strong enough because we need the Imperium as the main human faction.
And they also doomed humanity to a slow painful death.
so

imperium never survived the dark age as it didnt exist yet
When you have to choose between two evils, you're better off not choosing at all.
40k doesnt really also support that kind of ideology, you are just suppose to pick your flavor of horrible and have fun with it
bros part of the kabal
Yeah, it's unfortunate.
We are always destined to kill ourselves so its normal tbh

We cant get along in a single bit of rock, a few million is about the par for the same course.
*Cabal, also their motive was different and dumber lol
Chaos is def like
the only faction that is just
evil
Orks also ig
but Chaos is just evil and is inevitable
This isnt really a good poitn
The Imperium is bad
you dont have to be a genius to figure that out or defend them
they are literally goofy space nazis
its what makes them fun lol
why is that a blocked word now
THE MOST CRUEL AND BLOODY REGIME IMAGINABLE
it literally shows on the image lol
Oh, thanks. I appreciate it. Yeah that's what I was trying to say.
I think the entire preamble
of every single 40k book with an imperial pov
is like
enough to show that GW is saying "hey the imperium is evil"
lol
^
🗣️ ** There is only WAR**
the entire reason the made that post
is because a literal nazi won a official tournament in spain
and people were extremely offput by it
Yeah
real
Good from spain
the dude is banned from pretty much everywhere as well now
lol
the word in question smh
A actual Nazi or a racist? I thought all real Nazis are old as hell or dead.
Racist neonazi
who literally did the hitler salute
and painted the swastika on his stuff
Actual nazi
Ah, that makes more sense.
spain has a very weird thing on nazis
since it was like fascist for a long time
so they are more light on them
yeah lol
Insert joke about leftist infighting
They haven't got the same stigma cause they were not enemy with the Nazi
At the time
me when the moderates, royalists and socialists are all busy killing each other
I thought world war 2 was over. What happened to the Nazi hunters? I thought they took out all of em or had em arrested etc.
because their grand vision doesn't align so the obvious solution is to kill each other
he's not an actual nazi in terms of like was part of the Nazi party
Jesus..
I have never met one of these people in real life
but they do exist
unfortunately
Glad I wasn't around to witness such a thing.
he played table top with goebbels himself actually
lol
I have met a Nazi but while doing rpg in rl
What happened?
Did you go ham?
I'd assume the game just ended and y'all duked it out. Crazy that you met an actual neonazi while playing table top.
That's why it's probably better to play video games.
If someone sus, you can just back out of the lobby or something. Table top is a bit too personal, awkward and hella dangerous with strangers.
did he look like what you'd expect
Yeah, I'm curious too
He got banned like in less than an hour
Took a whole hour..
Was he wearing anything or did he say something?
Etc.
So basically we were running a Hunter the Reckoning one-shot, we had given some guide lines to what we would accept as player characters, so we start to have all the players present their character. And his had a German name that I didn't pick up upon.
So we start the introduction fight, and as things develop one of the other player tap me on the shoulder and pass me their phone.
They had pulled up the wiki page of a Nazi general...whose name sake the player had chosen 💀
Bruh, not only is that just weird, but thats so lazy?
Less than an hour
Like you're just gonna RP as some IRL nazi guy?
Thats it?
Not even gonna make a guy up?
Wasn't even a famous Nazi, like I hadn't even picked up on it.
Context is key, because false witch hunts are a thing. I've been called a Nazi while roleplaying as a Arbitrator, even some of my cosplays made some people say I'm a Nazi for liking how cool larping as a Sith Lord was.
Like you can curb stomp a ewok in a video game it's fine. A Ork can cook someone alive in a game it's fine. But I think when it comes to real life, that's different obviously, it's not just pretend or roleplaying. I think I mentioned somewhere around here how some people are put off by "roleplayers". I know personally from World War 2 games and those communities that some people are definitely not just roleplaying. Lol
So I understand the concerns.
Which is why I said it's fine if you like any Warhammer 40k faction, it's just a game. Lol
Well, he could have been trolling. Was it the full name or just a surname or first name? Some names are common.
R.I.P all Germans who aren't Nazis. Lol
We didn't accept "trolling". And was full name
I dunno how you can 'troll' like that in a tabletop pen and paper game?
Ok. Like here I'd suggest stopping and thinking.
I wonder what's the point where the Imperium destroys Armageddon rather than let it fall into Orks or Chaos' hands.
Not yet
Yeah, if you're not comfortable with it, I don't blame yah. Sometimes dark humor can be a bit much, but in this case I think he was racist low-key and was trolling at the same time. I know someone with ass burgers that was like that. No longer friends with em though after multiple arguments and talks we had about his bad behavior etc.
Where all thr Hives are lost
Still exporting Regiments
Gave him plenty of warnings, but he just couldn't stop.
Might be because of the mental disorders. Probably TMI my bad.
Do you mean what's the point of holding onto the planet?
I think it might be a strategic location.
Plus probably some raw resources too.
I'd have to look it up but that's my guess.
I'm just wondering how much of a priority would it be to retake it if they lost all their ground forces.
It could hold significant spiritual importance to imperial citizens too. So losing it could demoralize the Imperium the same way when Cadia fell.
It was like their 9/11
The issue is the Imperium fanbase doesnt help itself by propagating the nazi rumor by almost half the time turning out to be nazis themselves, ive been in this fanbase for over 10 years and ive never met such an annoying group as much as I have with most of them.
It would depend, sometimes the Orks would give openings on purpose too.
the mental gymnastics they do to both claim the imperium are the good guys and that their actions are justified irl is crazy
That's why I keep to myself for the most part. I'm hella shy, I think this is the only discord server where I feel comfortable enough to chat for a bit etcetera. Y'all did an amazing job keeping the peace.
Probably, unless Ghaz gets the vision and turns Armageddon back into an Attack Moon.
Yeah its because we ban fascist users (who all turn out to always use space marine pfps which is a funny thing I noticed)
tho they also give themselves up REAL fast
In universe, yes. In real life, no.
I forgot they could do that. Lol
Ork voodoo
If you believe hard enough..
Some of the imperium's crimes are perhaps a necessary evil like regulation of psyker but like that doesn't mean there the good guys. They are the worst regime to exist and doing one thing right does not equal them being good guys
sigh
This is why we can't have nice things. Lol
I was wondering why people were giving me so much flak. It's PTSD and nam flashbacks from bad experiences with other people. Which I understand why now. It just sucks that I can't like something without the stigma behind it.
(Send the Psykers to the black ships!)
"Omg NAZI!"
Happened a few times outside this discord server and discord in general where I was just roleplaying memeing.
I'm still kind of new to the community in general. Learning something new everyday.
Yeah, it's a necessary evil, I don't think Big E would do anything bad during peace time. Until chaos screwed everything up.
We'll never know though, because war is eternal.
tbf
I'm always nice to everyone in Rouge Trader until I have to make a decision.
the Imperium was also very bad during "peacetime"/30k
It's like gulliman said if they didn't treat people like there lives were already hell they wouldn't have a reason to sell there soul to hell
I can't help it if they don't wanna pay their taxes!

Also yeah chaos cults exist on almost every single imperial world for a reason lol
Thats great and all, but you gotta realize that IoM do use people, irregardless of how minor their crime was, as a placement for AI by using their bodies to do all kinds of labour, from applying medicae to wiping grime off statues to even being a fucking door. This is how the IoM treats its populace as a whole.
Also what the Imperium considers a "crime" can vary wildly lol
you can be a criminal for just thinking freely
I thought it was only the bad people who were forced to do stuff? Like the servitors.
Its very probable that better human faction solutions than the imperium existed and were wiped out by big E
No, innocent people get servitorized constantly
Who was nothing if not vain
Isn't smiling too much a crime in the imperium?
Theres a great book excerpt where a techpriest is going through the memories of a servitor and its last memories are of a mom whos screaming at being taken away for trying to steal food for her family lol
I have no idea what the remaining 150 messages are but I want to cut in to say this is not true I am literally the good guy duh
Basically the Imperium is labeled as the most evil regime for a fucking reason
You gotta have a few good people in the Imperium. I like how GW is slowly humanizing the Imperium to be token good guys, or at least having more chill people in positions of power.
I'm basing this off a quote from the Arbites in Darktide.
Oh they did, like the Interex
Oof, well I didn't do it!
Didn't the interex originally create the anathame
It was Hadron!
Gets executed
You can absolutely have good people in the Imperium! But the Imperium is the Imperium, and those good people are still raised with those Imperial ideals in mind. They may not throw 100s of 1000s of people into the frontlines or be executed, but they may still find free think to be something heretical and some such.
Counterpoint might is right in a hostile universe therefore
The sword was in a museum, not sure if they had created it or found it
It's like if WW2 era Imperial Japan, the Nazi's, and the Khmer Rouge decided to all screw each other, created a baby, and then that Baby mutated.
And now you got the Imperium.
I hedge because who knows maybe they'd have folded to orks or chaos but we never got the chance to find out because they folded to humanity first
Yes
Does He on Terra smile
No he grimaces 4 ur sins
"MY NOSE FUCKING ITCHES"
The agony
The only smile your allowed to have is in death because then at least you duty is done
(it’s rigor mortis)
Yes. I'd be that chill guy, memes and jokes aside.
Smiling is a sign of madness
Even some random citizen who is well liked
Probably has killed somebody in self defense because hives have a lot of gangs
Its the imperium nuffin to smile about
Enter the Iron Hands and their uhhhh special tech
Probably would get executed for some of my iconoclast tendencies. At least Abelard agrees.
Abelard understands, he gets me. My spirit animal.
Theres loads of good people in the imperium they die in the manufactories every day
I work with alarm systems to likely is I get servitized to be more effective
I always treated the workers with dignity, and always made sure the taint of chaos didn't get em.
Bro dares 2 impugn the STELLAR safety record of hive industrial complexes
Mortality so low population remains above replacement rate
Infants no longer required to work after human rights act of 35,456 (under review for possible heresy)
Chaos is still a terrible alternative to the Imperium. It's like you're offing yourself IMHO.
It's a hard life in the Imperium as a peasant, but you shouldn't succumb to chaos.
I see chaos as a metaphor for addiction, depression, drug or substance abuse. It gives me those vibes. Escapism.
Never ends well.
You're better off running to the Tau and hoping the Imperium forgot about you. Lol
Arguably chaos is the better option for some people selling your soul doesn't seem so bad when you already live in hell
I mean, picking Chaos may be a way go to a higher state of living
But it'll never end when you die..
Yeah chaos is a bad deal. It also is shown to strip you of the higher nobilities
I had a friend who told me that too.. his characters always looked deformed or mutated. No thank you. Lol
Of course chaos is bad, its not meant to be good and the setting knows that. Both chaos and IoM are bad options. In fact, almost everything in 40k is a bad option except leaving the galaxy entirely.
Love, comradery, self-sacrifice for your fellows vs your god
Being in the Imperium and as faithful as can be won't stop you from being deformed and mutated
Yeah, but not everyone can do that. Average person is cooked.
Bugs surround the galaxy
Interestingly in AoS the random chaos tribes seem to have a more stable existence.
Even further out
XD
All the other galaxies is ate ☺️
I rather off myself, never accepting chaos. Apparently there's nothing but horrors waiting outside the galaxy.
Most people would off themselves if they were thrown into Warhammer 40k. Regardless of factions.
I mean even if you do die and not sell your soul it just means random daemons tear you apart
Well, assuming that chaos only works in-galaxy and has no influence outside of it, you can go to a not-Tyranid infested galaxy free of Chaos and have a half-decent life
Chaos is the ultimate rat-race. The 1% who make it become Daemon Princes and become literal gods of their personal dimensions.
Dying loyalist won't make you immune from being vored by a daemon or other warp being
That alone is tempting enough for people to try their luck
The abhumans are alright
Especially Ogryn
I mean
they also get abused
and treated as subhuman freaks
they are only kept around because they are useful
which isnt really great lol
Just like me fr except the useful part 😊
Ogryns are also treated a little like pets more so than actual people sometimes
It's ok you'll make a good doorknob
Which is pretty awful and uncomfortable when you think about that a bit
They’re totally treated as pets.
I was too distracted by the John Carpenter's the Thing Love Craftian inspired art work. Lol
Good lore stuff though, I'll save for later.
Yeah, its pretty rough
They're not friends like human to human
considering we got people that do that to normal folks IRL it checks out
They're friends as in "This is my dog" kinda friends
Fuck, do we? Thats awful
See extremely rich people
Rip
Fuck
Basically never endlessly offing. I can imagine there being another warp realm called super warp and it keeps going on from there. It never ends!
they will literally dangle 100 bucks in your face and tell you to do a trick for them for a "payday"
and you will probably do it
because you need that money lol
Christ thats dehumanizing
I'll sell my pride and shame for a cheese burger
Rip
I have a feeling it's everywhere.. lol
I remember telling all the inner workings to my family once because they were like "oh man its so pretty!"
From what I understand, chaos is only galaxy-wide, not universe wide
Which is as dumb as it sounds
Everything is a pyramid scheme! Illuminati confirmed!
I’ve been like… I think friends(?) with a couple of people who are not rich rich but like a few million dollars rich.
Probably sub 10 million
And like
It’s sometimes subtle
But you do feel like a plaything
Yes!
Or a little source of entertainment to be switched on or off. Not in an unkind way.
YEP
I feel it can make sense when you consider:
- Not all of chaos, just the 4 Chaos God (Deeper warp having worse stuff)
- Galaxy being where the Chaos God started their great game in that specific setting
You see, we must rise up!
It's definitely a class struggle, but please.. no communism.
And the worst most dehumanizing thing for me is I would start to worry about it like “oh I hope he asks me to come have a drink again! I hope I was funny enough!”
Like… why
And it’s not even their fault it just happens.
Yeah that is bad
Well, there use to be friendly gods or warp entities.. but um yeah..
It's like a reflection of emotions I think
that is the mindset the lackies of people like Stalin would make btw
The warp
one guy would literally take notes on which jokes Stal laughed at and didnt
that kind of dehumanizing shit lol
i just want to add that the good people in the imperium are there to show just how fucked the system as a whole is, no matter how good they are or how much power they are able to get they cant fix anything, the imperium is so rotted from top to bottom that not even the avenging son himself who's main power is god-like statesmanship and logistical planning can unfuck it
Yeah it’s gross. I didn’t realize I was starting to do it.
Bet he was the last guy to be removed from Stalin's photo
(It’s not just money — this person is big in my field / has a major influence on careers etc )
But anyway
Digression sorry you just reminded me
the point is it’s not even conscious it just like happens
10k years of unchecked corruption and stagnation on every level of government can not be fixed
Noooo free market capitalism good
Says the guy who gets majorly creeped out by the rich
…. Don’t @ me I know I’m a hypocrite
You have my condolences, that sounds depressing.
Considering a lot of Daemon Princes get rewarded for starting up and leading successful cults, that's not too far from the truth
Too much micro plastic in those people.
It doesn’t mean they aren’t nice people or there weren’t actual moments of what anyone would call friendship.
Yeah they are just "disconnected" sometimes
I would be an excellent rich friend, I'd make people dance for me and get blackout drunk and then ditch them in the middle of nowhere just for the laughs
Look not all is bad in the Imperium, have some extra rations-
Gets executed
Attention citizen, multiple third parties-
I'd make people do a play, nothing serious just a minor one called the "war in heaven"
Unfortunately communism always implodes as an economic system at a certain size
Community moment
Yeah
Reminds me of Shagorath from Elder Scrolls. Can't remember how to spell name.
Lol
That's probably about right, who cares he certainly doesnt he's completely mad
The Daedra from Elder Scrolls are way more wholesome than the Chaos Gods. Lol
Well some of em.
Oh for sure
Because you have more of them, so they can be more specialize in each aspect of life.
Unlike the chaos gods.
Daedra are more like fallen angels/trickster gods
its what makes them funny
Jyggalag my beloved
also shoutout to my boy Sheogorath
Azura cursed my dark elves ;-;
Simpler times
the fact that he is the PC from oblivion in skyrim is still wild to me
Blessed*
well its how it works for the gods of elder scrolls
its called mantling
and it has happened so so many times in elder scrolls lore lmao
Similar to that one primarch.
You become them or something like that.
Terrible curse
thats not a primarch thats lucius the champion of slannesh
Imagine becoming your enemy or something or someone you hated. Lol
it can even happen to a necron that canonically dont have souls
Well for lucius
Sheogorath is at least funny and wholesome and helpful sometimes.
fight Lucius naked
That wouldn’t work
Unfortunately

interpretation is king
jyggaheads rise up
Maybe if you harness Ork energy, there's hope for renewable resources.
Just a thought

That’s just harnessing warp energy
Ork body's should be distilled into biofuel
Didn't one of the book imply they make beer out of Orks ?
Fungus beer?
I need to read more serious history and economics on how this happens : where the inflection point sits.
I’d read on the Paris commune
That’s the big one imo
Wait no
Wrong one
Fuck
It’s one of the French communes
It was the biggest one that didn’t implode violently
Maybe the Marseille one
It's all just theoretical, but my guess is it's at the limit where communities break down which is like
1000 people?
1000 seems a little high
Dunbar's Number says 150 🤓
that's for something completely different but I'm sticking to it
Ye, feel like 2-300 hundred max if you have some peoples that are good at managing that sort of stuff
yeah 300 seems like the max imo
because even that number is hard to keep a sense of community
and you very much wont know a good half of your community
There was a US commune that lasted 10 years
With over 100 people living in it(including kids)
Not including kids it’s like 80 something
yeah communes are always small
It ended because the people got sick of running it
And wanted to reintegrate into society which yeah makes sense
They were kind of isolated as hell lol
Did some comment get destroyed?
Yes
Some communes got destroyed by their governments
Yes beyond True Communism (TM) tho what about the systematic failures of larger scale systems like the USSR that tried to implement heavy redistribution of wealth etc.
The USSR was never really communist
They failed at the first hump
And then became a totalitarian nightmare
Custodes have hated primarchs since their introduction lol
yes yes but there were significant aspects to its system that made it more so than the US or Western Europe.
They also hate marines
Nationalized industries
Mhm
State controlled distribution etc.
Bro this is the easiest thing in the world to infer
Yeah
People got so mad at that 3 pages
Literally those things caused the worst thing in Custodes history / the overall failure of their entire raison d’etre
Like
Dioc is obviously a bit biased sure
but the crashout is legit very justified lmao
Media literacy is a very difficult skill to acquire
people getting mad at the custodes due to primarch favoritism is hilarious
so i cant complain
Thankfully there is a shortcut in that ppl can just believe everything I say
which is even more effective
my word is total truth
I honestly like the custodes more than Marines and primarchs
Like valerian is the goat
Despite FAKE NEWS purveyors from the lamestream media challenging me and the VERY ACCURATE fandom.com on things like the wizard elf ship
Custodes are pretty funny, marines fans seething is a cherry on the top
Custodes laughing at that dudes joke about his boss kills me every time
Diocletian somehow manages to annoy everyone even from a fictional reality
The true GOAT
I pray one day a book will continue valerians story but honestly I doubt it at this point
Wraight has to want to get back to it

come on, you gotta like them
Tbf Diocletian was literally designed that way
Lmaoooooo
Give that man a lho-stick
Me going through another 40klore thread
It involves someone in the comments shit-talking ferrus
Eternal reward jumpscare
Oh gods why'd you remind me
Nooooo
First word: 🗣️ Blood!
My eternal custodian 🫡 😔
Dilara I had almost forgotten about him
Im sorry lmao
but I legit laugh whenever i see iron hands mentioned and he just walks in screeching "NOOOO" in a thread on the subreddit
ironically he makes me hate IH more than I did beforehand
Perhaps I should bait him
He did manage to make me completely indifferent to IH to liking them a little at least
Same, almost.
I think he doesnt realise he plays right into the streotype of a space marine fan
Iron hands are a chapter I just do not vibe eith
Same
I often think about this madlad when I think of Khorne
Who was he, what was his deal
Not just SM, but the IH ones...
chibi e's
Those are almost as bad as the blind Krieg fans.
KHORNE warrior poetry. Lol
Both are batshit insane theocratic totalitarian governments

Pretty apt
Too much Krieg stuff, need more Cadian..
Honestly why doesn't the imperium just strap more people up with explosives and send them into the enemy
If Jay was here he’d kill you for daring to utter the word cadian
They do
Still waiting on a vox backpack for my veteran.
Ah I haven't read any munda
Where it talks about how cawdor is stealing frateris Militia strats
And then the next page talks about bomb vests
what i specifically would like is more non-cadian regiments that are in the cadian/standard garb
They do, rat zealots.
it feels like they're the only ones who wear the standard equipment these days
GW did like 5+ recently
Truskan snow hounds, grendish grenadiers
Faeburn something
He lives
Fatshark add a zealot blitz that makes you explode when you go down 🙏
Praise be
Cadians kinda are boring
Yeah yeah cry about your planet buddy
Unfortunately 😔
This is the funniest way to use juves

Moral failure? No problem, activate bomb vest
😡
Cawdor can equip every character with a bomb vest
True, it's either more Krieger or rags (the bad kind) or more wannabe Rambo stuff.
Technically lol
Ok it is funny in Darktide when you select Cadia and it’s just
Not sure why you would
Gravel
Stay away from reddit, for y'all's sake and mental health. Lol
I stay away because reddit just constantly promotes politics and I don't wanna read that shit
Yeah stay away from Reddit sheeple never learn the deep truths of the world
Only look at the top 2 pinned posts for news at best for your favorite game and that's it. If you really had to be bothered with it.
From sages such as Eternal PBUH
I prefer my fandoms without politics
like metal gear or fallout
🫡
also dickdivers
this sounds like a parody you would find on specific websites
They don’t want u 2 discover r/40klore and its secrets
Making now
You mean like giant loli ogryns
I think that was 40k lore
no joke dont the metal gear games focus more on like philosophical crap?
like how opinions are formed
Metal gear is absurdly political
A lot of it
and philosophical
Citizen, do not perform a democracy dive while aroused
Metal gear hates the soviet union lmao its dead and the United states
a lot
Kojima is pretty obvious
wrong
Also ai astroturfing
And memes
no
Thanks for housing our nukes
🫡
You traded them in for Sokolov
dont complain
There's nothing like waking up and seeing a kojima tweet that looks like him giving head to mads mikkelsen
The Shagohod would probably fit into 40k if they added some candles and skulls to it.
Kojima is just living his best life or something
He is a peculiar man
He's just exploring his sexuality it's fine
wat did u call my ex
kojima literally dumped one actress for another because she watched a movie she was in once

it was that death stranding bitch, Fragile or whatever her name is
based
Chudjima 🫡
… that based was more difficult to type even than my usual shitpost basedes
lol
He also crashed out like a week ago because uhhh
Sony execs didnt allow him to use a very expensive licensed song
and he was like
"do you know who I am"
Who says I was complaining xD
lmao

No like he 100% is yeah
With his new wife pekora
he isn't like horrific
his behind the scenes stuff regarding MGS is hilarious
He's very funny so it's okay
yeah hes more like an asshole producer
Not intentionally funny but you know
He's an asshole producer who has HIS VISION
it was hilarious lmao
and it must be
Classic
MY VISION
Yep
like that licensed song incident sums it up
lol
His vision should be of my shiny metal ass
he has a lot more of those stories
my favorite quirk of his is his usually extremely dumbass ideas that are a waste of money
"lets have the game disk slightly melt when you get shot and smell like blood"
🗣️ Me.
Attention moderators multiple third parties-
I joke
Honestly, I wish there were more hovercrafts in 40k.
well there is lots
Moderators outrank me though, I just wish I was around when they'd do the meme.
you just gotta find em out
I'd always just head canon it for the tech priests.
I think the only one I know of is the admech one.
Black Harkonnen
Bro that’s just P Diddy
There's probably a hovercraft version of the leman russ or chimera.
Could IoM survives if all Astartes chapters joined Horus during the Heresy?
With enough plot armor, yes.
Eldar
does 40k use jesus as the year reference
Uses my birth, the most important event in human history
Yes.
Temu C’tan
should be using the birth of the emperor ngl
They should be, but for whatever reason..
Unless my memory has failed me again. I thought they were using AD this entire time. If they don't, what year would Warhammer 40k actually be if AD etcetera? The time line
I'll leave it to the experts.
what is corpse starch
Delicious rashuns Sah!

Jokes aside, it's recycled human flesh packaged into a can.. similar to spam or something. Served as rations to most citizens of the Imperium. I think
lovely
not most no, its mainly a hive world thing
due to too many people and not enough food sorces
It's not even that common it's just that it gets brought up all the time
Don't ruin my grim dark head canon!!
lmao
Well I mean one could develop a taste 4 it and import
Or set up boutique small-batch starcheries
Kind of like cannibalism IRL
I always found the concept of demons interesting.
No idea why
I'm glad you understand.
Like ig because you can do so much with them story wise?
You can go with the traditional route
Just making them completely sociopathic and evil
Or make them have their own rules and psychology
Or even use them as an analogue for a group of people that are vilified and hated \
And everywhere in between
Power fantasy?
Also why I find 40k/Fantasy Daemons to also be interesting
Since although they're all evil, they still have their own goals and interests
Which is why I find shit like somebody become a Daemon Prince purely because they literally ate two Greater Daemons
Wild and funny as shit
Warhammer fantasy you have more leeway IMHO
flavored gourmet starch
#1 way to bulk up:
- Eat two greater daemons
- Absorb so much warp calories you become a demi-god

Actual 40k lore btw
Some woman who was literally so egotisitical that her sheer faith in herself and her abilities
Managed to overpower Keeper of Secrets

isn’t that just zealot class
Nah because instead of the emperor, she believed in herself
like
she was described as believing in solipsism.
the view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist.
I think anyone that finds the occult interesting IRL would find that type of chaos stuff interesting in Warhammer 40k too.
another definition of it is simply the quality of being very self-centered or selfish.
So imagine being so selfish
My sister has the literal Chaos Undivided symbol tattooed on her neck.
She's all into witch craft, and Star signs or whatever it's called.
And through her sheer ego
I'm sure she's fine.
She managed to ascend to become a Daemon Prince
er
Princess in this case

I guess it's a play on the term "being full of yourself"
Lol she really hated the Imperium too, and I'm like (NO, Imperium good! Simple as).
And I think the Warp kinda being this weird "metaphorical becomes literal" dimension is fucking wild.
And there is a lot of cool possibilities for what's essentially
"Hell"
I like the T'au

...
Why do I see a bolt flying towards m-
Jokes aside, the worst part about the T'au is that 40k has a problem of wasted potential.
And the T'au are definitely NOT an exception.
I honestly wish they were more like the combine from Halo
Using a varied amount of their auxillary races as soldiers
Like the few tidbits we do get from races that aren't the Kroot
(although tbf the Kroot are actually pretty gnarly)
Are pretty fucking cool
Apparently there's a race that's literally as big as an Imperial Knight
And now I'm thinking of some Pacific Rim type shit
Where muh heaven at though?
Nah just Hell
Congrats
It's confirmed that most baselines/SMs just return to the warp.
Like a drop of water returning to the ocean. It just melds back and turns into something new.
Maybe I just don't like weeb stuff and a lot of fans I've met who are Tau are weebish, no offense of course. You can like anime and stuff.. but it was over the top with some of em. Like samurai sword and everything. I was like woah easy there sanguinius!
Psykers are just really unlucky. They actually can maintain themselves when they die.
But that also attract daemons

and well...

Final Horde Theme from Left 4 Dead 2's Original campaigns, i might be doing Left 4 Dead 1's Horde Themes next. includes horde_slayer and drums.

Daemons do like their energy.
So inevitably they get ripped apart and eaten
Was with u until here lmao
If you are strong enough, you can actually make a little afterlife.
And there is confirmation that the Emperor does take people
Pocket dimension?
Although how much power, how big, or whether he tries to save them all or just grabs the useful ones is
up to you.
I knew it, the Emperor protects!

I think a book once described it as like a man on a boat.
Basically just one of those tiny shitty log boats
Ye it’s possible that some scraps of every human soul eventually get pulled into the Emperor-Thing In the Warp
Where he's just trying desperately to row
while the ocean constantly assaults him.
After they fall out of the teeth of some daemon
Row faster! The warp entities are catching up again!
… or some other orifice
So I like to think, because I like to have a bit of hope, that the Emperor does try to grab anybody.
But that he has a priority system
Like "Oh this guy is easier to save, better grab him first"
bascially triage.
ya and the biggest heroes he remakes on the Anvil of Ap… wait
So most people are just consigned to be reincarnated.
Sigmar is just the Emperor except if he wasn't a gigantic asshole
Otherwise known as "The dad Mortarion wishes he got"
Seriously if there is one thing I feel bad about Mortarion, is that he legitmately never got a single good influence throughout his life.
All 3 of his parents are fucking awful
Sigmar has the luxury of having way fewer concerns
Ya stinky guy has a stinky life
True, but also the Emperor is just a huge dick
Like bro it would take you like a month maximum to at least help Angron's gladiators.

I mean it is an angle you can take
Whether it's a good one is up to you.
Personally, it can be good, but it usually isn't.
I do like a bit more moral ambiguity than just "These guys suck ass and want to murderize you".
Although tbf, I know some examples of the latter.
Daemons in 40K are a specific thing tho. They’re facets of humanity so they can’t really be whole characters.
Ya they shouldn’t be that either
They’re emotion and concepts and the echoes of events
They should be really weird and metaphysical
I think the Torah has the most interesting Iteration of Satan.
This is going into IRL religion but fuck it, time for the political talk (tm).
But basically, he's less of "The Adversary" and more just a prosecutor.
Which I find interesting
Works with God rather than against. Acts as a challenge rather than an enemy.
Which also makes the story of Job slightly less...
uh
assholeish
Because it's more like two colleagues talking to each other and genuinely seeing what happens instead of
"Sure ''son'', let me prove you wrong once again!"
The Satan in Job is really tenuously connected to the Satan figure in the New Testament and/or whatever tf Revelation is tho
But yeah daemons should be complex and weird
Poor man.
Again. 40k/Fantasy Daemons are interesting because of that.
Like they obviously do have personalities and characters.
But just like how I need to eat food and drink water
They need to actually murder people.
It would be tragic, but they don't think that, and I don't think that matters when you're being assaulted and taken over.

It is interesting when they actually do form a relationship with a mortal.
It's why Argel Tal is one of my favorite characters.
Raum spending his last moments warning him before dying actually made me feel sad.
Although it can be argued it was for self-preservation.
Emperor is actually a lot like the God of Job
...explains a lot

the Emperor is definitely inspired by a lot of mythology
Specifically the more... bad parts
...
at least he doesn't fuck animals
seriously wtf is up with that, why was it so prevalent
💀
Beastiality is disgusting, which is why I don't trust furries.
Eh. Anthro animals were always a thing and is distinctly different from... that.
But if you don't like furries, that's fine honestly.
Just don't y'know
attack a random furry drinking coffee or something
Puts down the baton
Oh..
Like my personal philosophy is "As long as it doesn't actually hurt anybody, go right ahead."
Leda begs 2 disagree
Seriously a weird trend in mythology is like
"Oh this swan took off their animal coat and is actually a beautiful woman"
Maybe Featherless Bipeds weren't so far off after all

Pastoralists get bored and lonely ok
Isn't that just a common thing for animals in general in myths
I always find those stories to just be weird.
And also disrespectful to those theortical women. Like most of them basically are just kidnapping.
Or coercion.
It's probably just cope for ancient furries.
Like bro give the swan-women her coat back smh
I mean not historically inaccurate
Lmao
I still find that the funniest moment in greek mythology is how
The Minotaur was made because a God cursed a woman to fall in love with a cow. But that's not the weirdest part.
It's that she contracted the original maze maker
"Hey. Make me a cow suit. Now."
"I don't thin-"
"I will pay you millions"
"How big do you want your Cow ass to be ma'am?"

Ancient Greeks 🤝 fetish porn
Bro is basically just like any artist taking commissions tbh
they had 3 gods of sex so yeah
One of them is the God of Requited Love
Which means that yes, Greece did know what consent is
THEY JUST FUCKING IGNORED IT BECAUSE THEY WERE ASSHO-
There is some incredible Ancient Greek vase art
Technically made the first animations.
Also looking back at ancient cultures made me realize that
Eros exists so yeah they knew what it was and didnt care
"Damn, people 300 years in the future would definitely think we were assholes."
but when your culture sees women as dogs what else can be expected
I actually was interested in why women were kinda just...
shafted cultural wise
I think there are some theories that it began in agriculture since most hunter-gatherer groups have a fair share for each gender.
the Greeks getting their asses kicked by the warrior women of the black sea tribes didnt help matters
But nobody can pin-point when
That’s kind of a myth about hunter-gatherer society.
It’s still fundamentally male dominated
True, but also at least they weren't as bad as Greece.
Or Ancient China
Definitely ag and being able to support large families, which tied women down with childcare in part I think.
Amazon inspiration moment.
So their role became more and more strictly domestic
