I never really thought of the World Eaters as Greek inspired. More Aztec and South American in general
Especially with the skull taking mirroring shit like the heart sacrifices
Make the Alpha Legion Egyptian (Apophis, chaos and disorder/lies)
Make Thousand Sons Indians
That will be all
Good nigth
Gn.
But also I always thought the Thousand Sons should've had more feline featur-
NO NOT LIKE THAT
batting invisible thought clouds
World Eaters are Roman gladiators
Mainly because of how Ancient Egypt like
Put focus on cats
Cats were seen as sacred
To the point where cats were often mummified with their owners when they died
Which means they wanted to have their feline companions in the afterlife
So I always thought that feline features for the Thousand Sons would've been interesting
Also would've fit their rivalry with the Space Wolves
Because well...
That part is obvious

I love darktide goes with Are-Beh-Tez instead of Ar-Bee-Teez
Wolves and cats are not friends
ultramarines are just romans.... even have all roads leading to ultramar
Minotaurs are the greek version of Petty Man Baby that he didnt add t5o the OSHA marines
could also be this (roman gladiator helmet)
or this anglo-saxon one
Oh shit probably the Roman gladiator one
...
But more importantly
If both the UM and WE are based off of Rome
Where the fuck are the spears??
Seriously, Spears are cool
world eaters are gladiatorial
no spears there, less showy
UM are a weird combo of republic and early empire, so no spears
True.
It fits Khorne well though. Spears are one of the first weapons for Mankind. He'd 100% be into that shit.
gladius' were used by legions at the time
But they used spears still

yeah, javelins
Spears were used a lot

I mean that'd also be cool.
at the time phalanxs were popular, but the roman testudo ended up being more mobile
by basically yeeting spears at the enemy phalanx, you made the shields unweildy if it hiots shields, or made an annoying post if it hit the ground
Iron warriors thus should have shields
Seriously though. Imagine an UM deciding to just
and spears
Fucking throw a spear at you
the issue is um don't really use the big ass shields
of the romans
which would be less useful than a combatg knife for sm
if used properly
Could say it's the armor but fair.
You are right that IW would 100% use shields though
They were anti siege right?
Something like a shield would just be useful in general
Enemy fires a lot
Gotta use something to block it while you advance
Or protect yourself
Sure modern equipment would probably use tanks and shit also.
And tbf the IW have that.
this is why Minotaurs are a better petty man baby chaptrer than the iron warriors
though they are more spartan coded
But 40k (with the exception of the T'au) is about combining ancient styles of war
And modern(ish) styles
yeah
There have been times
imagine a squad of um like this
charging at 80mph
left is the macedonian phalanx
who used 20 ft spears
literal school yard bullies lol
And I know Gladiators didn't use spears often. But the WE should have them also.
If only because Khorne would like that shit
its so true, but by god are they better suited for petty man baby than his poor kiddos
nemesis glaives are basically spears
There is a theory that Minotaurs are actually from IW geneseed
Just left over
not a theory

their creator said so
Makes sense Lmao
which makes sense cuz 21st founding
yup
ngl though I liked the idea of them being world eaters
since they are large angry barely stable
Tbf the one part I do like about Minotaurs is the looting aspect.
but nah
Like ofc there's gonna be SM chapters that would steal from the dead
very greek
that was the first round
of minotauurs
who were the super angry ones
and probably got taken out back behind the shed
I mean... are they not super angry now
myeah myeah we're like so cool way better than you fists and custodes
"...okay so lessen the spice, add more salt."

uhhh, they're still very angry, just not as angry
besides WE geneseed doesn't make you angry
yeah it was angrons fault
Tbf Psykers have something called "just making any attackers relive the head exploding scene from scanners"
WE geneseed just makes you a bit more suicidal
jfc lol
hm hm....black dragons
fire hawks
That might just be a reflection of the Primarch who uh
Literally was suicidal
And considering Angron was meant to empathetic. It probably influenced the geneseed in that manner
tyberos doing a backflip in her imperator dreadnought terminator armor
Carchs are only RG
the NL stuff is weird and I have 0 clue where it came from
are they?
Her?
Damn the rumors are true then
arent blood gorgons also raven guard>
They share geneseed with the Ashen Claws + they talk about "the great raven who exiled them"

unknown geneseed for blood gorgons
iirc
statistically speaking its likely Gman
lol
Gmans seed had some breadth
jokes aside
if we wanted to do the stereotypical, dad makes you fight like X for marines
They def fit the RG glove
Also surprisingly violent.
I think the UMs were equally as insane as the WE before Guilliman calmed them down
issue is RG and NL share a glove
I mean I don't think they were mortifactors crazy......
And also the RG have a better glove. The NL are explicitly worse at the sneaking part.
It doesn't matter regardless. They're both gonna sneak up you silently
this is true
if carcharadons were 21st founding I would say definitely nightlords
anyways have you guys seen
cuz thats the theme
Well they're technically 2nd
didnt they say they were primarch tier?
yeah
Guilliman seems to have quite the temper he just usually calms himself down most of the time
It's kinda funny
then probably rg
yee
Ashen Claws are
fuckin weird lol
curse of primarch equivelent durability
excluding USRs
Eugh
I barely know tabtetop and even I can tell
Again, I think guilliman is my favorite character wise
how many pts is that
Especially post-revival
we don't know how many points the saturine praetor is
Since he's just consistently like
I like the khan
I'd say they'll probably be priced like, 100 points cheaper then primarchs
"OH HEY THERE GUYS I'M TRYING NOT TO BREAK DOWN!"
sipping 35th cup of astartes grade coffee
"MY DAD IS APPARENTLY SOME FUCKING ELDRITCH GOD. THAT'S FINE!"
grabbing the bottle of wine underneath his drawer and drinking it wholesale
"AND I STILL HAVE THIS PIECE OF SHIT EMPIRE TO RUN! OH DON'T WORRY, ONLY HALF OF IT IS LOST TO A WARP RIFT!"
Honestly, yeah, but it isn't helping his stress levels that's for sure
Guilliman never really liked the Emperor as a parent. So he probably wasn't too bothered.
But it's still fucked up to find out that your genetic father is now a barely functioning mess.
I'd say the emperor is a highly functioning mess
It's like a kid that cut ties to their dad, finding out that their dad got hit by a car.
Free yourself from the fraility of mortality
It'd probably well up some complicated feelings that he doesn't want to deal with
Honestly, I like the idea that the Emperor was so anti-God primarily because he was afraid of it.
Like losing the bits of humanity and "control" he had left over himself.
And we all know the Emperor loves having control
is he still 100 shamans in a trench coat or did that get retconned?
cuz if so he was never in control
I don't think we know
never known
It's pretty old but nothing says otherwise afaik
we've never been given a definitive answer
but based on how fucking old he is the 100 shamans theory isn't the like
and hopefully we never will
bad one
the bad theory is the "he's from the DAOT"
which they also killed
by making him old as shit
response to that is: no shit
Its been so long that we dont really know atm.
We'd need a novel to outright say it.
40k's ultimate rule is usually new lore overwriting older lore and taking its place
Getting the glimpse of him killing his own uncle is enough, he was always a shit and it's all I need to know
yee
Unknown.
I actually like the Shaman theory though.
same it makes sense for him being a giant dick and shortsighted
"the dum,b shaman got the brain cell"
Although I think it should've been specified that the 100 Shaman only creates a perpetual
Like it's a ritual to create a perpetual and the Emps got his power through experience and... other means
I think it's fine
100 potent ass shaman sacrifice making an immortal thing makes sense
At least it shows that the Emperor isn't exclusive in being a dumbass despite being so fucking old
Erda moment
Most of them are pretty dumb, makes sense my grandmother turned into an idiot late in life
Honestly as a cope hc it's pretty decent
all the combined age and experience just sorta mixes together
And the Emps being Alexander the Great makes sense since the guy wasn't exactly the most... sane.
In fact his empire probably would've fell whether he died or stayed alive
carolus rex too
I cope some of Big Es decisions away with how he processes time after so long
Angron you useless shit you'll be over your little gladiators in two or three centuries who even cares it's practically tomorrow
Sorta, or it's just not that good writing
both
I like this explanation though
angron thing is stupid anyway
epecially when compared to mortarian
Like he's bad at raising his sons because he can't comprehend a "regular" human experience. Which, despite his sons being superhuman, are mostly what they experienced
He places importance in his humanity, but has forgotten what humanity is.
Which is probably why he doesn't want to be a God, no matter how stupid that is.
He's terrified that he'll lose himself.
Fully.
Forever.
With no say in the matter.
So it's ironic that in "punishment" for his sins. That's the fate he inevitably placed upon himself.
Fantastic summary
A fanfic actually made a cool concept for him.
That he's actually multiple people
In one body making decisions
Like the Shamans but instead it's more the fact that
Due to living long, he has gone through different phases
and those phases and aspects of his personality are different "people" inside of him
Similar to the Chaos Gods having Daemons be shards of them
This kinda explains his contradictory behavior
It’s interesting like — he’s obviously super intelligent etc., but he still has a vaguely human brain. Which means his memory is someone akin to human memory
So he’s lost so much.
Even if he can like psychically recall things or whatveee
Ever
As for against Horus, despite the future story material kinda making the whole thing not make that much sense
I like the idea of the Emperor's remaining humanity making it difficult for him to kill his son.
Like for all of his heartless actions, when it matters the most, he couldn't help but falter.
He couldn't help but see the child he once held in his arms.
And ironically, that caused both his downfall, but also fueled the killing blow to Horus.
So much happens in the Abnett version of the fight.
I do like that it’s Horus’s humanity and affection that tilt the battle.
What's the context?
on the pronunciation of arbites
In darktide they say Ar-Beh-Tez
instead of Are-Bee-Teez
Do they? I didn't realize there were voicelines saying Arbites
Ahbehtez
Just with a quick first ee instead of a drawn out one
And either way, I'm sure we'll hear both pronunciations

Ar-beh-tez def sounds like what someone with a higher education would say and Are-Bee-Teez sounds like what normal people would say
I'd just assumed it was ar-bites
English my eternal nemesis
Close enough
don't ask me
freaks !
it should be aar-buh-tr
language is stupid lets go back to grunting and shit
Most people probably had no idea Arbiter was even a word before Halo 2 😭
who judging they shit
Arbiter? I hardly know 'er!
That's where I got how to pronounce it

SIR KRUBER AHAHA
also nobody else in this server cares
but FNAF: Secret of the Mimic is releasing tomorrow.
...
MY NAME IS THE FUCKING MIMIC OH YEAH-
see I would be interested if not for another piece of FNAF media was coming out soon
next Tuesday
They actually are trying to separate from William Afton
Which tbf, I think is about time. The man should not come back again bruh
I don't play DbD
and the few times I did through their free weekend, I got instantly insulted with slurs
so
Springtrap does actually look cool though
Generic opinion but he's probably the coolest animatronic
Like in terms of theming, design, etc.
and the DbD team did do justice with his design also.
Scott cooked with his design then fumbled it in 6
Even made the human body inside actually anatomically accurate
Tbf that's partially due to scott being garbage at modeling people LOL
I don't count SB since it he wasn't even supposed to be in there
But yeah true
It was a genuinely cool design though
But yeah
I think what he tried would've been interesting
He just fumbled it
@languid meadow Also here's the corpse underneath the DbD Springtrap Suit
ye
But honestly, I think it's just William actually fucking smiling
yup, and my name is david
dad
i want some ice cream
david
that is my name
Zobie
david
where is my ball?
im running into the road
there is a car
and it's gonna
hit
me
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
god the amount of brainrot from that song is crazy
ruined the reputation of that game forever
I love it
tbh the game does actually look pretty good
I might try it
@vagrant fox look up Jackie's Box
@vagrant fox Listen to what people hear when they throw the God Grenades in Trench Crusade

I love the song writer, he genuinely walks the fine line of
"Is this real?"
and
"This is 100% satire"
Like he 100% is just shitposting, but occasionally doubt that at times LMAO
This is borderline penis music
he made the mimic
its not that clear until the car crash part
then you realise hes absolutely taking the piss
I love it lmao
Yeah he also made a 15 minute fucking undertale song
that's literally just
the fucking worst and best thing ever
😭
like he literally bursts out laughing in the middle
the repetitive chorus suddenly starts having a german accent for a second
and the ruins pops in literally 8 minutes in
and also deltarune characters are there despite it being undertale

the worst part is that some of his songs actually sound good for like
40 seconds
and then he realizes that
and immediately fucks it up
the FNAF 2 song was genuinely decent at parts until "I AM EATING MOTHERFUCKING BACON!"
just pops in for no reason
and he commented that it was an "accident"
and that the spotify version won't have it
and it actually doesn't
he is 100%
committed to the bit
and I admire it
@storm jungle oh my fucking god he made 3 new songs
How could I have missed that
Truly I am a heretic

Man, that Jack bossfight, huh? Phwoar... Don't get me started on those bugs, jeepers! Anyhow, here's a song about Resident Evil 7, also known as Resident Evil Biohazard, also known as my personal favourite of the bunch 😉

WHY IS POPPY PLAYTIME IN AN RE7 SONG
Oh no wait
He
HE FUCKING MIXED UP THE TITLES OF THE SONGS
AHAHAHAHA

Hey TUNAs, I recently caught this new release in my shopping basket, a mascot horror like you've never seen before! Had a lot of fun with this one, hope you enjoy! 🎧

this is what the internet was made for
Master craft
Truly
We have peaked as a species
Mozart? More like cringezart
WHY DOES THE MIMIC APPEAR HALFWAY IN THE RESIDENT EVIL 7 SONG??

Where's his left arm
Seems like he doesn’t have one
His left arm is hidden by the mounted storm bolter
Moving so fast toward ur face u can’t see it
You can see the bolter itself has a panel engraved with a Salamander head
The real question is: what is his right arm doing
He needs to stop drop & roll is he stupid
He’s gona Chuck the spear
Unironically
That’s what the like
“Pose” is
He’s gona throw the spear
That's what I thought too but it kinda looks like it's "clipping" through his pauldron lol
No his right pauldron has a special awkward throwing pose notch
at least we know arbites pronunciation in darktide
Arbys
I'm just going to ignore how they pronounce it ingame because they pronounce guiliman 3 different ways
yeah but guilliman isn't even a real name
arbite is an actual word with latin pronunciation
I'm betting the other classes will have pronunciation differences
I guess, but we'll see
Y'know
Can we kill the person who made this clip
EP smite and shriek + DS
Honk shoo
Generally if you asked someone from 100 years ago their moral or political stance. You'd probably think they are an asshole
And I just wonder
What beliefs we hold now would be considered assholish/stupid in the future

In my opinion. I predict that our plastic usage will be considered to be stupid
Just like how we consider the usage of lead and asbestos back then
Either that or the meat industry
This is assuming that the future doesn't become a mini 40k btw

Probably the fishing/meat farming industry.
Emphasis on the fish part.
Honestly some the shit we do to animals sounds like something out of 40k
Just replace cows/chickens with people
Also our extermination of bird and insect life in the past 20-30 years. Nightmarish stuff to read about.
And like generally I consider animal life to be lesser than ours because
Well duh
But also if we can move on from literally making them suffer for their short short lives
That'd be great
Like if we didn't have to kill animals to survive/eat. That'd be fantastic
But right now. I'm sorry random cow
But you are simply too delicious
🥩
damn straight
When we make affordable synth-meat, the world will be better off for it
Also if it doesn't taste like ass
Vegan substitutes are hit and miss for a reason
Some of them actually do taste decent but some just taste like piss
Almond milk is fucking disgusting to my tongue
Would never drink it unless if I'm dehydrated in a deaert
And it's the only option
Tbf white chocolate technically isn't chocolate
But it tastes good

Just different
I just like chocolate in general
Even dark
Although it's my "least favorite"
I have a sweet tooth
And bitterness is harder for me to tolerate
So yes despite being almost 21, I would totally love candy as a gift
Too bad the quality is getting lower
Butterfingers are still one of my favorites for some reason but I cannot deny they're getting shittier
Still good for me though
it's so good
I have a terrible sweet tooth, I love that stuff
Ayy
The vegetarian substitutions in Taiwan are really good
Texture is correct + taste is mostly right
So if it’s stir fried or braised
It feels correct lol
It is awesome
What do CW eldar eat?
so in the dune universe, is there a limit to the voice or a negative side effect to it's use? because it kinda seems a little OP based on my experiences in dune awakening so far
Isn't it why one of the Emperor turned into a ||sandworm hybrid||
Fruits, vegitables, meat, seafood
do you want specific names
for like food items?
their diets seem to be pretty lean, lots of raw vegtables + meat
is it processed naturally i.e. harvesting real animals and cooking them
Yeah
or is it more like a star trek replicator
they rear animals on craftworlds
though meat is seen less often on tables then vegitables in general
grains as well
there's like some weird multi colored grain porridge in Path of the eldar
explictly named foods are: Summervine and Icevine Juice
oh also alcohol
the CWE drink a lot of fucking alcohol lol
Saim Hann specifically also likes to indulge in literal eldar blood
Lol
Beyond just the usual blood face painting and drinking blood ritualistically before battle
They do just, add their blood to food sometimes as a sign of honor
Also their food in lore tends to taste good. Like, just the food in general
Eldar grain stuff just tastes better then normal human wheat
The Red Hand cult stuff goes into it
Having menials go from slab and other processed foodstuff to Eldar gruel shocks a lot of the poor menials
They should eat some ice cream
They should gimme some
Rather then cow
You will attract eldar simps shhh
The craftworld eldar do a lot of drugs and drink a lot of alcohol though
Like by human standards

Fortunately for them
Those quantities are considered being controlled
Alright now chug so much alcohol it would give a human organ failure
Or else you’re a bitch
Elf moment
How is this anything like stereotypical elf stuff
This is just being a degenerate alcoholic by human standards lol
even in LOTR the elves drank alcohol that could kill a human
It’s not that the alcohol itself kills the human
It’s the quantity
elves and dwarves having insanely strong booze is a stable of the 2 races
yeah but its not as much of a focus with the elves normally
The only group with absurdly strong booze in 40k
Is like the Space wolves
Eldar alcohol seems to be normal alcohol level wise
Which is why they drink so much
Well being able to drink enough alcohol to kill a human but not getting damaged
Comes with long lifespan and stuff ig
Isn't that an elf thing
Laaaame
I’d assume whatever is handling processing poison in their body system is pretty robust
Lol
Embrace flesh and nature
Then they can't get drunk tho
I mean, they just had their evolution “sped up”
It is like, drinking a beverage
By the old ones
If you drink enough you can overwhelm your poor liver
I’d assume it’s a similar logic
Then enough poison could effect them
For the space wolves they just turn off the fucking organ
Should have been engineered better smh
Yeah and it does
Amazing
Well they weren’t made from the ground up
They got evolved further by the old ones
You can also just shoot or stab them
Into their current state
I’m not sure if we’ll ever get an explanation on what exactly changed with the eldar
After the old ones messed with them
Yea beyond the simple overarching "not human DNA" of the Eldar/Aeldari
That's no fun
They die like...normal
The weird muscular shit they have going on could be naturally evolved
It’s likely their extreme psychic potential is like
Probably enhanced further
From some baseline
Quad helix dna is prolly how they were
Shoot them, burn them, stab them, crush them...all still works
The effort is more at landing the hit, ye
Well
Even once you land it
It takes more effort
Eldar are just tougher then humans
Eldar are just objectively better then a human in terms of both taking a hit and giving one
Then why don't people just do that
They do
It’s just hard
They wear armor
As well, so even if you hit them
Yknow
You gotta pierce the armor
Surely they have unarmored spots
And also better at controlling their psychic gifts
Eldar are basically human plus
Unless you count the psykers
That and GW will never officially truly extinct the Eldar lol
Narratively speaking
They’re also explicitly growing again
As of 9e lol
They have population growth again
For cwe
WTF lol
that's good more of them to kill
But their population isn’t declining constantly now
Which means technically
Eldar are potentially weighted towards the younger side rn(in theory)
Spirit stones are a lot easier to get
What would be the best name for a Rogue Trader crew ? Like Warband but for a RT ?
Retinue
Oh wait
Nvm
Uhhhh
“Household forces”
Ork moment
You know what hey at least they are getting respected by GW lore wise again because well
@astral burrow (going by profile pic) you have to understand that unlike most of Star Wars Canon (bar the new trilogy), GW's approach to Canon is...somewhat more lax handed.
As in, GW will change things around without really changing anything.
Which is why you can get Eldar getting killed over and over again without becoming extinct and then suddenly described as being in resurgence not in decline.
The scars of the ynnari aren't really easy to remove
Jesus Christ GW that book series was certainly interesting
Tbf they didn’t say in resurgence
They just said the population wasn’t in constant decline anymore
Lol
Oh right lol
Big difference
It just means they’re at least equal in birth rate to death rate
Or slightly exceeding or slightly below
Also ngl, I never realized guardian armor literally has 0 fucking gaps
Where it’s not armor
Advantages of wraithbone ig
Lol
Ty, will use Retinue for ease
what about guard retinue?
Actually
The head area
Ig
The connection point between torso and helmet seems unarmored
But there’s a gorget
Well it would take more to make an entire species extinct anyway
Indeed
Drukhari wych’s and
Drukhari haemonculi stuff
Aren’t wearing any real armor
However ones absurdly fast even by eldar standards
And the other is uh
haemonculi stuff

Mfw it regrows it’s head after I blow it off
and now im just envisoning that happening like the dude in MIB
eldar are just literally built different by the old ones huh
Well
Haemonculi stuff is uh
Crimes against nature
All of it
Not one is not a horrific violation of nature
the mere existance of the Haemonculi is a crime aginst nature tbh
Let's be honest the Galaxy would improve massively and greatly if the dark eldar disappeared
Urien Rakarth is fucking prehistoric
It’s literally a saying in drukhari society
To say something is as old as rakarth
To call something ancient
He was already “old” during the eldar empire
God knows how long he’s been alive in actuality
Might actually be one of the most evil characters in 40k via sheer quantity of stuff they’ve done
you think the tyranids could ever find their way into the webway?
Maybe
There’s already nids in comorroagh
Actually entering the portal? Fuck no
But if there’s an open one they could def get in
so a gate gets overrun before they could shut it off it could become the start point for a flood of nids
Yep
Though gates do seem to auto close eventually
But yeah
The nids could pour through
soul stone rings and Eldrad picks it up
"Hello?"
"OH MY GOD ELDRAD MY MONK- HUMAN FRIEND IS FUCKING DYING AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP PLEASE HE-"
"Calm down. What did you do exactly?"
"HE ASKED TO INHALE MY BLUNT. HE ONLY TOOK ONE HIT I SWEAR!"
"...yeah prepare a shovel."
"...WHY?"
"That human is going to die and you're gonna have to bury him."
"WHAT??"
"I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do."
inconsolable crying
"Kids these days..."
hangs up soul stone
Mf probably would be a good source of lore
...
If he wasn't too busy torturing people

how did the haemonculi come to be anyway?
They were just extremely unethical eldar scientists, doctors and torturers
" Dude you look so wrinkly you look like rakarth "
Eldar on the Path of the Cook have to make the most scrumptious meals man
As captives though, right? Right?!!
Well yeah, you get bored of conventional meals after 6 thousand years
Has anyone seen the speculation about the Henry Cavill show being eisenhorn?
"By the way… my previous posts about this event (and, actually, pretty much anything I post) have resulted in many comments asking for Pandaemonium (Bequin book 3). Positively demanding it. And I’m delighted you’re keen, because so am I. But for those who don’t know, it is not MY decision when Pandaemonium gets finished and published. For reasons an NDA prevents me from discussing, Bequin 3 — and some other things — are held up for a while. It’s coming — and I’ll be delighted to bring it to you — but in the meantime, try to be patient… and maybe try to enjoy the things that I AM writing" Dan is under NDA for something Warhammer related
Its been there since the day it was announced.
but yeah
Yeah it's been in pre production for a few years now
Lmao
thats how you know its legit
its not a IP product without years in development hell lol
Could be real, but far enough to not get excited for
It does make me think of these posts
Its real.
its just gonna take awhile lol
Wasn’t there already an aborted Eisenhorn series attempt?
Also Cavill is a big Eisenorquin fan right
answer: literally every white collar job that requires going to university
I really don’t want it to be eisenhorn
It would be a bland start to a 40K cinematic universe
I want whatever they use to be able to show all the broad strokes of 40K
just please dont be space marine slop
Not even that
Just any over idealised job…
(Presumably one can become too idealistic about being, say, a chimney sweeper.)
it's way more common for jobs that are known for making money
like engineer and doctor
people think making cash will counterbalance a job they don't enjoy at all
I don’t want it to be Eisenhorn bc it’s likely to be at least somewhat mid and Eisenhorn deserves better than that.
This is really all I can hope for
But more than likely it’s gonna be marines with no other arcs or personality than “for the emperor brother!” “Yes brother!”
Nice chainsword brother
Please show me normal humans at least
I know xenos representation is a pipe dream but can we at least get humans
It’s 100% gonna be chaos vs SM
i think it can't be space marine slop just because of budget reasons
Like show me some cool ass live action mechanicus monstrosities
A fully decked out magos would look so cool
This so much
inb4 they're all necrons

Animated would flop so hard. Fuck that.
No one wants that shit. It’s barely better than nothing.
watch the coolest movie of all time, Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie, and you'll feel so silly
I want it to be animated because it's going to be 80% CGI anyway
Plus I think, if it's a Space Marine movie or if it includes Marines, that they'd plainly just look better in CGI
"Movie", I mean show
Since it's gonna be a series
Ok touché
Nooooo animation is stupid
The only proper use is video games and only ones I like
i always prefer animation for showing 40K
live action has constraints of like looking realistic looking like the thing does this guy look like that guy you know stuff like that
with animation they can just make the things they want to look like the things they want to look like
Exactly
For Marines specifically, I think the only way Cavill could make them look good in live-action would be to get just a decently swole guy who can fill out a Marine's armor, then use perspective to make him the correct scale in post, LotR style
But the thing is no-one does creative stuff like that in movies anymore so I feel like that's unlikely
Funnily enough, the armor itself wouldn't be a big issue since it's been streamlined so much over the years that it could easily be scaled down and worn by a normal guy with normal proportions
Yeah it won’t be easy as you said.
Surely that’s not true. See eg for Dune all the tricks with desert lighting
Even in its time lotr was extraordinary for all those tricks
Yeah that’s why it’s a SAD crutch for KIDS and POORS not a great AMERICAN studio
I would love to see it be gaunt, imagine if they got someone like Sean Bean for dorden
This video isn’t sponsored. I bought this model with my own money. Joytoy aren’t paying me for this video, and they don’t know I’m making it.
That being said, if you want one for yourself… first: you’re mad. Second: here’s an affiliate link: https://geni.us/joytoyknight

It would be such a awesome nod to sharpes rifles
you sound like eternal
anyway ignoring that
Animation is just a better medium for 40K
Much less constraints than live action
As long as it's mostly humans, like a lot of gaunt is it's ok
Eisenhorn is also mostly human
I'd say it's broadly true; maybe Dune does cool tricks for lighting, idk, I didn't watch it, but even if Dune's production had outstanding creativity that still makes it an exception rather than the norm - and, as much as I like Henry Cavill, I don't think he has much incentive to go the extra mile to make live-action work when the current state of CGI can more easily net visually authentic and consistent results
Imagine a whole series that looks like the Secret Level 40k episode, for example
Ciaphas cain would be awesome as a cartoon I think
Omfg don’t
Horus Heresy series with Sean Bean as Sanguinius
And Ferrus
Yeah I know you’re right. I do think real human faces have a special quality
I think space Marines in live action would suck because they'll use famous people and it won't look right
I think they’d use talented lesser-known British and Australian actors!
They should use them i agree, but then they would put some star power in it probably and that would ruin it imo
Y'all know that World War movie with the message runners that was led by minor actors, but the various officers and generals were portrayed by major actors despite being side characters? I think that'd be pretty cool for the 40K show if the mortal soldiery get time to shine
Like, have commissars and stuff who show up for maybe 3 minutes get portrayed by big names so that the audience understands these are people to be respected
What record is this?
watching the 2nd episode of Kill Lupercal, pretty neat seeing a Shadowsword in Animation
My mock test scores
Well, excellent stuff!
You will knock the real test out the park.
That’s a great sign.
There is but one good horse and that is
All other horse is heresy
I, the High Equestrian, have spoken
Oh shit fr?
Crazy that when GW releases good new models people buy them
I can see cathay being the most popular faction in the game
Do you think this is a sign for long term support for old world?
Its sucessful so yes
they will support it long term
anyways this is good for AoS players
LET THE DARK HARVEST BEGIN
lmao
"aw shucks i accidentally got an exclusive model that i didn't order"
first instinct is to paint it
love the dedicationj
gotta make that thing look good

ISTIK
Lae'zel is such a nice githyanki
Killing off all the old models? Yeah lmao
If a super powerful pysker like Magnus threw a fireball at a much lower scaled blank like jurgen or something, does it still effect him just less?
Hadron jumpscare
A QR code?
No, he'd just get annihilated.
Blanks got power levels just like psykers
Ok even I like this
Back in my day we just wrote our signature and it'd get cropped out before being reposted to Pinterest
I ain't doing that to the poor starving artists
Man, really wanna commission an artist to draw my firbolg dnd character but it’s hard to choose
Thats why you put your signature or watermark on an annoying spot
a double "fuck you"
i mean even disregarding the power level thing, do blanks just ignore all psychic phenomena period? because ordinarily that's still a fireball that would burn someone to death
No they dont.
Cathay gonna get a lot of people into old world
Blanks have varying levels of power, some will get overwhelmed by superior forces.
A threat like Magnus can just click his fingers and instantly make you explode
GW is going to have its stable 4-game core. Can’t believe they pulled it off.
Something something the fight on Luna
Real 🌑
Hopefully the new horse hearsay edition is good
I have been toying with the idea of starting auxilia but no one around here plays it I think =/
Never forget when they announced the new edition of Heresy and everyone in the stream chat was saying
"Noooo they're going to make all the rules simple like 40k, they're ruining it, complex rules is what makes Horus Heresy good"
and then they announced the rules were actually being expanded to make them more complex
"Nooo they're making it complicated, it's too complicated they're ruining it"
Lmaooooo
40k fans will always complain
They are literally gonna be so complex. Based af
its not really
that complex
its about the same level lol
the only thing I can really complain about wording wise is
why change the wording for attacks, strength and such
there's like 0 benefit to that
Bro they just said there will be special rules for little men crawling all over titans and hitting their eyes with wrenches or whatever
My game of plastic men beating each other is ruined !
I don’t think something being complicated makes it good tbh
thats just going to be an existing ability turned universal

also Solar Auxillia is the fucking torment nexus
lol
have fun paying a premium for a useless armor save
I LOVE SOLAR AUXILLIA RAAAAGH
4+ armor save
THEIR ART IS SO COOOOOLL
look inside AP4
also AP4 battle cannon
💀
I love the battle cannon being bad into marines
lol
Based move is buying Solar Auxilia and using them as based proxies for 40k Militarum
I'm so excited for Typhon!!!!
the camo admech are also cool
I plan on getting some Solar Auxilia to finish my triumvirate Militarum army, already got Cadians and Scions

I know
they could have at least picked
sounds fun
I love how they look like old timey diving suits and welder stuff
I hope solar auxillia aren't total dogshit
in Heresy 3e
actual torment nexus designed purely for solar auxillia suffering
for 2e lol
Cadians for my Nemain Scargivers (foot soldiers), Scions are my Badb Shrikes (aerial forces) and then Solar Auxilia will be my Machan Chargers (Mechanised)
I would totally run them as astra mil but I just can’t look at those things and square them with a 5+ save
And scions I like the existing models
Goddamn
thats really cool
they don't make the Solar Auxilia Legion comand squad now yeah
or whatever its called
they only have the normal one
Which doesn’t have the cool jacket or cape
Never graduated training 2 fight 4 Super Earth
yeah
Something being simple doesn't mean it can't become advanced either. From the first human who figured out how to throw rocks, we now have rifles, which are essentially machines designed to throw metal rocks at high speeds, and what is one of the most common mass destruction weapons in sci-fi? The mass driver. Which is basically just an astronomically big rock being propelled at astronomical speeds. Good old rock never loses.
Nah I just don’t want people against simplification of things, it’s very elitist
False complicated is objectively morally better
(I also complain about Latin still being used in medical field for kinda the same reason lol)
I think there's a point where things get oversimplified
and ruin the fun
which is bad
Each turn should take 10 hours min
Awful
lol
Stuff like free wargear and no PPM is def oversimplification
it makes the game less interesting
I take my turns in dnd 1 minute max
and the only thing thats like done
is it makes you need to do less basic addition

Waiting for the wizard to read 40 rules to cast a spell sucks
True
