They didn’t win the case + the judge told them to fuck off + put restrictions on them making rules for things without minis
Lol
It went shit for everyone involved
Like I said
Oh shit, they tanked their own stock because of this stuff.
Yeah a lot of people today dont know warhammer as an IP went under like almost 4 times lol
there was a time where GW was like fanatical about protecting its IP to the point of self-destruction
nowadays its comparatively chilled the fuck out
They also ousted their CEO from that era lol
bro thought he was working at nintendo
i think also it was during a time where they were really, really struggling to profit from non-mini media after DoW had run its course and everything
Turns out its way easier to sue everyone when you are basically untouchable
not when you are ontop of a very niche market
lol
they were doing a whole ass shotgun method if you remember that where every other warhammer game was something utterly deranged conceptually
but now that they have some strong hitters like TWarhammer and Darktide they can be more secure
I wish silly plastic men wasn't such a big industry with so much drama
It is just tiny plastic guys...
GW executives should sit down and paint some and calm down

Is the new one good
now all they have to do is get Duncan Rhodes back to GW
Nice
the company hasnt imploded
As good as a CEO can be ig
it depends on what the CEO was signed on to do, which i doubt they were especially public about
like if you want to really evaluate the performance i mean
"we are not a rules company, we are a toy company" as an argument for AoS 1e being totally unplayable
went fucking crazy lol
when fucking Lego was making all their own weird game systems
GW is unlikely to implode now
if you would consult the chart
LOL
Max is cheating
well
but 100% over 5 years is still good
most of the drops seem to be people spazzing out when GW can't keep up identical growth in a multi-year project based business model
yeah COVID was
fucking insane
8e already had the hobby grow like crazy
post covid 40k is even bigger
yeah they are off that high but its still going good
(its no longer like over 70% marines at most events)
lol
now its more like
25-30%
which is more tolerable lol
Honestly I don't see it dropping down unless GW monumentally fucks up
which could happen
but GW is so safe with decision making I find it unlikely
alas 😔
Yeah I understand nothing
214 what? Billion?
each stock in the company Gamesworkshop is worth 214$ USD rn
And how many are there?
A lot
Like a billion?
A million?
GW has: 32,971,713 stocks in issue
How
according to the London Stock exchange
you have to evaluate a stock in terms of its relative price
Blah blah blah
so it's $214 per share, but that matters because last year it was <$100
Stock this money that
i got my degree in this OK i like it
based
A degree in money?
Crazy
Do you speak to the money?
in finance, yeah
most things of note in the modern world happen due to money
And became a servant of the blessed omnissiah
Lol
i always remember that story where like
the navy techs put a chicken in one of their computers to make it work
Based
Is that even true
and it actually did, it stopped working the moment their officer tried to remove the chicken
i dont know if its true or not but its funny lol
They attach a box with chicken bones
yeah thats the one
Kuai Kuai culture is a phenomenon in Taiwan wherein people put snacks of the brand Kuai Kuai (Chinese: 乖乖; pinyin: guāiguāi; Wade–Giles: kuai1kuai1) next to or on top of machines. People who do this believe that, because the name of the snack—"Kuai Kuai"—stands for "obedient" or "well-behaved," it will make a device function without ...
relevant
lol
Who knew the machine spirits liked snacks
Lemme ask my taiwanese friend for confirmation
I have friends everywhere
You can have confirmation from me

PRAISE BE the omnissiah
this is a real thing that major taiwanse companies have in server rooms lol
I've seen some major superstition around printers from even nonreligious people
It seems to work more often than not
Printers are the device of Satan its true
it's pretty fascinating just how pervasive superstitions are even with otherwise entirely rational people
consider the myriad superstitions around sports, too
it seems to be that those things manifest whenever it concerns something that we don't have any real control over
You are taiwanese too?
Wow
That's hilarious lmao
half yeah
Does it genuinely work?
but in terms of like how immersed I am in a culture aside from American its def Taiwan over japan
lol
My old PC of 13 years used to make weird noises every so often
When it was barely working, had to be turned on by hard wiring it
And I just yell at it, smack it really hard, it would shut up
I feel bad now
my beliefs say yes because words have power
He served me well for 14 years
my parents keeps one next to the router
jacked up black pickup truck decided to fart a black cloud in my face on the highway
Does it not expie
well i'd say the society that produces the best semiconductors in the world probably knows a thing or to about getting computers to work
Expire
yes it expires
Or do u eat it and regularly replace
you gotta replace them
but that's just my hunch
lol
stay in your field
anti-taiwan adam over here
Kuai kuai also aren't like super expensive lol
also I don't like how the green ones taste
Eat it before it expires duh
thats bad
Router is next to my room
don't do that smh
just somebody with actual knowledge of practical stuff
it will misbehave if you steal its food
hate-filled harry over here
I am hungry
again this is cultural
if i hated asians why do i like asian boys so much? checkmate atheists
Admitting that on discord will get you shot
so I will simply not
The joke temptations are strong but we must resist
TSMC is definitely one of the best producers last i checked
What joke
TSMC is the best producer rn
I'm not even being nationalist for the bit
they just are rn
No wonder why you're always in lore chat; its just myself, Elite, and Bulgur here all the time
yeah exactly
I wish my country was the best at smth
this is not untrue
its not that other companies are like
Y'all gotta hide
bad at this
You heard him
calm down manson
TSMC just has way more capital, and expierence
It is just a meme, dick, sit down
well as i understand it Taiwan just has human capital
that nowhere else does
not the reason
I assume a capital made of human beings?
refers to having skilled people specifically

Crazy
those skilled people need to be created
they dont appear out of nowhere
Taiwan education(hell)
Adepting my mechanic rn
As bad as south Korea?
Could be worse then
but the skilled people are not the main reason
Taiwan, Japan and China are all like
about the same levels of hell
from what I can tell
Hong Kong has been integrated into the chinese education system now
she doesn't struggle because she's used to it
is the big thing
She is an uuuh
you get used to doing that much work
yeah just different upbringings have different lifestyles in mind
taiwanese electronics manufacturing is next level quantity. you should see their factories
mind boggling
I would never survive a day in asian education system
Make that shit a darktide map
now the server rooms
im not very knowledgeable on automation engineering but i'm learning it a bit from my new job
you have to keep the area clean for very small electronics like semiconductors
like SUPER clean
Also TSMC is like absurdly secretive lol
you can check their privacy policy on their website
for like employees
ah no their cleanrooms aren't that high level
even the smallest pieces of dirt can fuck them up
that's just for silicon wafer production
My countries education system isn't any better
the cleanrooms aren't as high as you think
anyways K-12 education for me wasn't that bad
because my parents sent me to Hell cram school over the summer in both Taiwan and Japan
I am 3 years late to university smh smh
the problem with cleanrooms is scale. they're very expensive to install and huge factories require insane amounts of ventilation, not to mention ESD flooring
I wish I had relatives in another country, sounds fun
yeah i can imagine that makes american education by contrast a breeze
they just took me back to see family
so they segment the cleanrooms into levels where silicon wafer production is the highest
Dog I would've rebelled against cram school, I'd join the delinquents
I did always have summer school in middle school
since that's the most susceptible to dirt
But in high school I didn't give a damn
I do not want to get my ass beaten by the teacher
which was legal up until like
So no summer school there
2010? or something
it's not even dirt actually it's mostly human skin cells
Then I spent an entire year in cram school lmao
suits
5 years of high school
humans produce a lot of dead skin
It is
they should open them in the US
But at what cost
I just managed to get under the beatings, my sister was beaten into being right-handed in school
eh its not that bad
This year I am just studying on my own at home
imo
highest level cleanrooms require no direct human interaction at all. all done remotely with drones
those cleanrooms are very rare
they do wear suits too depending on the situation
My grandmothers on both sides beat their students
21 days to make a bit more progress and guarantee a good major in a big city
💀
I NEED computer engineering
they still have
I gotta rizz up hadron
the fucking sticks
btw
I got beaten by my grandmother on the japanese side
which was "fun"
Ouch
the suit depends on the cleanroom rating. you can look up the ISO standards. the ones for lower levels are just normal ESD jackets
Unfortunate events
I'm not going to say it was entierly undeserved
Teacher's pet
higher levels require a full head to toe suit
Straight up the model student
she probably shouldn't have fucking hit me with a switch
seems like a pain to put on
and move around in
I didn't do anything bad until high school, I was straight up friends with all the teachers lmao
They loved me
if you have glasses and long hair and a beard yeah
oof
yeah they're like the ones you see scientists wear in the movies iirc
Ew long hair and beard
shut up straighty
so super obnoxious unless you're just totally bald or something
I like seeing long hair and beard
I pick them in games
But holy shit even a slight stubble or a slightly long hair bothers me so much
Idc how good I look in it, it is torture
another part of cleanrooms is ESD ratings which are just as important
electrostatic discharge
Buzzcut?
the facial hair specifically is what gets super irritating for a while
it needs to be like a month before you adjust to it from experience
so you have to be grounded at all times
It annoys me so much I like rubbing my chin and feeling it smooth
the floor tiles are conductive, your shoes are conductive
when we making ISO 10: Vacuum-Sealed
i got some cool custom leather shoes at work
What if I jump
Bro is working at narkina 5
Just dunk everything in mineral oil/j
i get to pretend i work while i'm in this channel since i'm a support technician
It wasn't fun
it's aesthetic
he's implying women don't belong in lab coats
No, I fucking like it
Damn it you forced me to spell it out so I don't look sexist
i see a lot of people in lab coats and they are not hot
very bulky
not form fitting
your ass
True
Major Zero confirmed
Lab coat doesn't make someone pretty, it just amplifies their existing beauty
It is like glasses
However, the combination could kill a man
Incredible things happening in this channel
The government would appreciate it if you stopped exposing their conspiracies. It's very irritating for them.
I was keeping a one settlement wood elf faction as a pet in Oreon's Camp as Kroq-Gar
I had no idea they were beefing across a border until the Sigmar Cult faction randomly came by and dunked them
these posts would kill a medieval peasant
a medieval peasant would kill me for my quality knives
i'm a strong, straight, heterosexual and heteroromantic male
and medieval peasants have shit like goedendags lying around all over the place
Idk usually the ones who stress how straight they are aren't so straight
Fearsome words, Sigsen. Now show me deeds.
Tell the serfs to return to the fields and leave complicated matters to their betters
life was truly so much simpler back then 😔
Feudalism is the natural state of humanity
Everything else is merely an attempt to be contrary
i mean they had it worked out, the Triple-Decker Caste System
sure, there was a LITTLE horrible violence
but you know? part and parcel
part and parcel to paradise
The violence was justified
a little starvation builds character, anyway
I mean, probably.
We investigated the local Lord and he swore on his honor that it was above board and I believe him
there's really no such thing as corruption if corruption isn't illegal in the first place
it's pretty genius
To prove his innocence, he paid me a lot of gold.
the feudal right to "skim off the top" is one we should've kept fr fr
throwing that out was a terrible idea
No impious man would willingly part with such wealth
Never ask a homophobe the orientation of their crush

reminds me of "never ask a true son of skyrim the race of his girlfriend"
i guess in warhammer it would be "never ask a primarch"
I cannot blame the man
Never ask a primarch who he thinks deserves to be Warmaster
So odd question, but would what the Charnel Guard chapter do, put themselves into stasis between missions, have helped the world eaters cope with the nails?
That wording threw me for quite a loop
Idk about cope
But delay maybe
Sorry.
For the duration of the stasis only, really
Then it's wakey time and the nails are prompting violent slaughter again
Man, dark Hersey looks like it’ll be fun. Really wish I vibed with turn based but couldn’t finish rogue trader
Got to chapter 4 and after nut show to make it out of the previous area I was honestly kinda burnt out
Is this "Tzeentchian sorcery" the devs just being funny since this army sort of shouldn't exist
It would slow the decline but why would you want that?
World Eaters without brain damage is like Space Wolves without Wolves
The Ultramarines
And nobody wants more than one Ultramarine legion
ok so in other words DEFINITELY something you want
Not even Guilliman wanted an Ultramarine legion, it's why he broke it into chapters.
All that division of power nonsense was to soothe their egos
What's this?
Stuff from the new not-4th-War-For-Armageddon?
Miasmen redcowls mentioned!!!!
Order of battle from the crusade Armageddon rulebook
Oh
They did mention something was happening with Armageddon during the preview show.
ate ratties
I just had total war open for 8 hours
Where did the day go
Why does this game take so long to play
Yes
cold asf art
Reminder that it is possible to reach the Imperium, if you did not, your faith was simply not strong enough
i thought this was fortnite ...
The bottom right one looks like one of those fish monsters from the spongebob movie (angler I think)
Cold though
How can I hint that a forge world has uncovered necrons without giving too much away, rn I have reports that most of the workers in charge of excavation have gone mad, refusing to work, screaming about giant metal insects, spouting doomsday prophecies, and painting strange sigils in their blood (necron script), y’all think this is enough to imply that further investigation may be needed without revealing the nature of the threat to those who don’t know necrons?
I like this idea, but I’m not sure if it’s big enough to warrant a rogue trader dispatching a team to look into it
I think Id avoid the rumors of giant metal insects because that sounds like it'd give too much away. I think the workers refusing to work, disappearing miners, and maybe even perhaps entire pieces of equipment disappearing without a trace could be good without making it incredibly obvious.
Good idea
I just wanted a little something to make our Aeldari party member’s spidey sense tingle about their ancient foe
Not like “yeah there’s necrons there”
But like “oh shit, maybe we should check this out”
Madness could also work, but you gotta make it vague enough that it keeps the party guessing (like mentioning metallic bugs or atomization will tip them off)
Cause the party has multiple threats on multiple worlds and has to decide which to prioritize with minimal info
And I want to strike the right balance of accuracy, without completely underselling the threat, cause necrons are in my opinion, the biggest threat to leave operating unchecked
Cause once it snowballs to a certain point, you’re fucked
It Could make them suspect chaos maybe
Then again, so does orks and GSC, but they’re a little more straightforward to deal with
Could or GSCs
Madness is a very common symptom in 40k
(Maybe they were predisposed to madness who knows)
STINKERS WOOOOOO
great
a deathskull is a good villain

God, there are some absolutely braindead star wars fans
oh yeah mag @rose thorn
are you gonna use this for your sylvaneth?
Groot
yeah thats Swiftvine Glimmershard
she looks like she plays knife zealot
Does she ball
this is a another universe set in warhammer fantasy where instead of war everyone plays American football
and she is a star player so yes
she balls
yeah so you have things like the average american quarterback
Astonishing
or Kreek ‘the Verminator’ Rustgouger
All due to 1 God of Chaos being active when it usually isn't
hey at least it's the most peacful warhammer setting in the world
GW should do a football alternative, and then we could see some Fifa Blood Bowl type stuff
Indeed
dwarfs immediately in a disadvantage

Hadn't thought of that
Knowing them they'd sink their goal down to better proportion
or use their head
literally and figuratively
like they might build leg braces to increase height
whats the creation myhtos for dwarfs in 40k fantasy
40k they're just Abhuman that have survived independently
Fantasy same as the other, made by the Old ones
Between Elf and Human iirc
Lizardmen, Elf, Dwarf, Human, Ogre+Halfling iirc
yeah they are the complete opposite
elves are tall they are short
elves are really good at magic, dwarves straight up nullify magic and therefore they just contain it on runes for use
is their a ratling equivalent in fantasy
Halflings
And Gnomes I guess
love gnomes me
Ratling themselves are literally just Hobbits so lol
Halfling is also just a slang term for a Hobbit, they are all the same thing
so p much everything in reg 40k does have a counterpart to fantasy
It all came from fantasy so yes
yeah pretty much
Tyranids, and Tau are the big outliers
oh yeah dilara i found this
yeah thats an oldie lol
Servitors?
Human skin!!!
I wonder what they based this art on
Like what particular image did they use as reference
any chaos astartes ever
you say this like its a hard thing to capture
My mom
bald marines
^
But any named ones?
You are reading way too much into this
In a book?
lmao
they atleast tend to do the human skin thing less
Mostly anyway.
Me when Executioners
hot
The Order of the Wounded Heart deglove the skin on their hands, so that they feel pain with every action. Then regularly get it regrown and then degloved again so it's always fresh
Extremely based sisters.
Holy shit lol
Sisters got some of the most fucked up shit in the Imperium at times
Like there's a Canoness with a torture room that's got like a Heretic in a vat with medical equipment that will keep her alive and conscious, which is filled with an incredibly weak acid that will take atleast 1000 years to kill her, just dissolving her slowly.
Easiest case of getting tetanus I've ever heard
They still wear gloves and protection around it, they just feel the pain
What's the source of this religious belief?
Like why the hell do they do it
Oh yeah I remember this
That was
Creepy
They revere Saint Lucia, who was tortured by Cultists for months. One of the methods they used was flensing the skin from her hands
So they do it to themselves to remember her pain
That's
You know what that makes sense you know
Yeah that tracks
Sounds like they would get along with the Imperial Fists.
There's also an order that revere Saint Lucia by taking a vow of silence in honour of the Sisters who were captured alongside Lucia, the Cultists tortured them first hoping their screams would break her, but the Sisters realised that's what they we trying to do so they remained silent throughout and refused to make a sound so Lucia wouldn't hear.
But I can't remember their name
So you have budget sisters of silence and insane lunatics
Insane lunatics is a given already when talking about the ecclisarchy
Yeah that is true
Everyday I fight the urge to buy two of these
You know what yeah i understand damn that is cool
One to build as the Triumph itself, the other to use the models on it as unique HQs
So many good bits tbh
Like get that and you could easily use them as a Palatine, 3 Canonesses, a Dogmata and a Dialogus
and I dunno, use the Coffin itself as a unique Objective Marker
Terrain piece for a home brew capture the relic or some s***
could potentially magnetise the feet of the models and get away with only buying one. then just make up some individual bases and swap the models out as needed
cause most of them are standing apart so it should be doable
Anyone got ideas for shit I can have happen to my party as they travel through the void in-system to spice the journey up?
They’re flying in a modified thunderhawk
Orks Asteroid fleet
Oh hi larmoth
To give one to me?
How kind of you
I would but I don’t know who to use in mind
That is true that is true
40K need more of these
It’s so perfect
Easily kitbash able, easily used for kitbashes, but the original kit is so cool that you buy it anyway
Yea, each of the Sisters on it is completely seperate, so it's so easy to just build them and stick them on a separate base
Gamers, is Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters worth it at 11,24 euro
I quite like it
75% off is tempting 🤔
It is one of the considered good warhammer games
That title means more then it seems
That's often how it goes, Warhammer games tend to not live up to all of my expectations
Who up huffin they Thunderhawk grade brake cleaner
Yep which is just why chaos gate daemon hunters is one of the more beloved games in the community
I was playing the shit out of it until I had an unstoppable game crash in my Ironman mode campaign
I'd recommend it, yeah.
The DLC Megabundle at $20 isn't terrible either.
$20 for 70 hours of fun I call satisfactory
Good enough recommendations, yeah why not
All I know is that it's morty time loading screen
So I can help you out on mechanics if you'd like, at any difficulty more than like
the easiest
It's HARD
I had to restart the campaign like 5 times before I was stabilized
Noice, hopefully my x-com long war practice aill help
It's very reminiscent of the long war strategically, actually
like long war, the strategy changes based on if you have the DLC or not tbh
no-DLC is a much easier experience
My brain did a weird take and now I want to see a Rick and Morty parody with Emps as Rick and Mortarion as Morty.
Long war will def help you out, however this game is still the torment nexus
lol
this thing is up to no good
Good vibes from the intro, as long as I'm suffering in a enjoyable way this'll be pretty good
Long ahh neck
It's so cute, i want to pet it

It's just spiky plant being spiky plant Don worry about it
Oh you overgrown mushroom, you'll make me blush
Hey you're willing to go on a date with the hunter of the storm god
So not surprised you find certain things rather cute
That thing look like a grandma
Good idea but I’m looking for mostly non combat scenarios
Like misadventures or accidents
Asteroid fields, broken ships hailing the party asking for help, Rogue Trader hailing them to offer trade and or employment
Have you played RT yet?
They already work for a RT
Yes
Yes, but having multiple RT meddle with the party always lead for much fun
Once had a campaign where we worked for an Inquisitor, and then had another Inquisitor contact us, to investigate our Inquisitor
I don't think either were fallen to Chaos
Yea no combat, they're just there to siphon off and huff the coolant
It gives a lot of ideas, like derelict or abhuman colonies
I saved and was taking care of a kitty
She gave birth
Yippeee
So cute, extremely tiny
Afaik Lion knows Bobby G is alive. Does Bobby know his elder brother is done with his beauty sleep?
how are the babies and mother
afaik they've already met
Of course they met. They've worked together during Heresy afaik.
Oh wait..
btw, are Sisters of Silence infertile, like Space Marines, Grey Knights and Custodes?
No
We don't know tbf
They can stay erect for a century..
Edit: as guards...
Not augmented to make them transhuman so I’d assume no
I was just a bit curious about what they do after they (Custodes and SoS) retire.
I found it
SoS prolly train SoS, custodes serve as “eyes of the emperor”
"and as a further safeguard against distraction and as a biological control, both are of course incapable of procreation"
From inferno
We know God Emperor is not.
huh?
They're actually officially classified that way?
But... it's not like they were built. They were born, just without a womb.
They're made in part with Warp stuff
Won't that make psykers abhuman?
They are yes
Well legaly they are
Technically they're mutant
Same for certain Blanks strains
Yeah that
I thought Primarchs were just some kinda warp beings stuffed into meat puppet bodies
Well
But in any case Primarchs are wholly crafted artificial beings and it's difficult to class them.
Vat Grown Abhuman could be something, but they're not stable per se
Nah
that too
Pretty much
but your statement does lol

Yeah like
its better to treat primarchs as superheroes
its pretty much what they are
The only thing that makes somewhat sense to me bc we can get a visual idea of it is Corax
(AND the slop that comes with that tag)
Don’t worry soon we’ll have glorpus the saturnine terminator praetor
Kill Horus
And then the Horus heresy never happens
someone say Horus?
🏇
Space marine characters
Now I wonder if there are alternate heresy but it's Sigmar spawning in 40k and just taking power against the Emperor or something
the whole salamanders chapter
Obiwan Sherlock Cloussau ?
With like barely any lore
Weird thing, Primarchs were made to be perfect but still some has male pattern baldness.
Bald is a valid haircut lol
(Also the Emperor is fallible)
God why is he so pale in that art lol
i was bald once
Scottish Guilliman
How long did it take to go from Horus to Sanguineous?
ab a year or two
2 years
but i haven't had a full haircut outside a small trim in another 2, i'm just past my shoulders now
Sounds awesome
Would make it simpleish to do a blood angel cosplay if i were to ever afford the stuff to make the power armor lmao

If you live in a humid region, i may have further questions.
It is a humid region lmao
Mind if I DM you?
No problem at all
This is 40k lore chat, didn't wanna go offtopic here. I fear getting disciplined.
No worries, this one is lore but as someone said yesterday also a "'more tame main chat" at times
We go off topic all the time
I have relatively long hair, which I grew without any plan
Having real difficulty maintaining hair health.
This guy had 0 presence in my memory fog
Very good
There is a second baby
But that struggled a lot, can't breathe well rn...
And he’s amazing
glad to hear that but i hope the other baby is okay, wishing the best
did you guys hear that boltgun 2 will have Khorne daemons?
Why do some dislike Ar-be-tes and prefer Ar-bites
Cause Ar-bites is the canonically accurate version
Well, Ar-be-tays would be what I think have been used before
It has
I call them Ar-bi-tees
Didn't GW come out and say it's ar-bee-tees?
It is but most people (understandably) ignore it
especially since even official material/voicework etc doesnt say it that way

Lets hear the official version of Astartes
I mean who really cares about latin pronunciation. Even the ancient romans constantly changed how the pronounced words ...
Pretty much.
Its like how they also went
"all lasguns fire yellow beams"
cue all the times they dont

Inconsistency is the only consistency at GW. Truly a british company
Truly lol
Wasnt yellow lasers more of a 6th edition artwork thing that was never officially laid out?
No because even then books/artwork displayed them with red lasers
it was always contradictory
so its just whatever the artist was feeling at the time

I remember some yellow lasers in artwork
Yeah its what the warcom post displays
Easy answer is that it depend on the weapon mark
there has been plenty of yellow, and plenty of red and everything in between
even blue
arbeetrator
I am woke incarnate
I think lasguns should be able to have any colour laser.
I like the green of the heretics in uhhh space marine 2
Yeah its why them trying to set up a concrete precedence for it is kinda stupid
like who cares lol
Afaik this is already a thing
Red is just most common
if the warcom article writers just looked up Kopinski art for source material I'd say it's based and accurate enough to say it represents the whole of the universe
Might just depend on the lasrifle and be a choice like tracer colours for bullets.
Different nations had different colour tracers to identify sides and calibers. Germans had green I think, americans red? British were yellow IIRC.
I said it before but my headcanon is just the colour depends on how powerful the shot is, red is lower power whereas yellow / closer to white is a more powerful shot
Laser colour is easy, plasma colour meanwhile is tricky
also perhaps the kyber crystals...
wait wrong IP
We got an official salamanders captain joy toy model with an orange power sword
Looks pretty dope
Thats the least sensible explanation.
hell yeah
I would love to see an official depiction of the purple las bolts talked about in I think gaunts ghost
Isnt that robot a villain?
There's also the blue inferno bolts that the tsons use
Powered by tzeentch fuckery
r/memes
I mean hes right though?
i remember the post-hoc explanation being the laser color changes based on the atmosphere or something
but i dont remember if that was even official or just someone coping
I remember the post-hoc explanation that lasers are STUPID
Red is too iconic to change fr
It is the most recognizable
But maybe it's like swtor where you can just change the color by changing a part inside
When you ask a GW exec to clarify lasgun colours they probably hit you with one of these
They probably just hit you
They CLAIM warhammer 40k has a lot of interesting worldbuilding, and yet they never talk about the las-lore.
Curious.
Deep as a puddle!
Yeah we can drop the las-lore in that case
I eated all the las-lore
Almost gave our resident user a mask-off moment
I'm not sure if any warhammer material ever established the existance of birth control on hive worlds or they rely on pollution to take care of that.
if it exists IRL it probably exists in the Imperium too, but probably not encouraged for proles since the Imperium literally sees populations as a resource, not an obligation
it's probably just a thing for the elites for dynastic control purposes
Such medical practices aren't really that advanced so I would imagine its still a thing
More so the question if hive administrations practice any sort of population control.
Yeah I figure so aswell. Maybe put some chemicals in the water to reduce fertility or something.
Actually I did remember that mass sterilization is a thing and the Inquisition's done it before to exterminate a planet
It's how they genocided the original Armageddon population
Yeah but thats not really regular birth-control.
Its the more uhhh "nazi"-like kind of birth control

Speaking of it was also sterilization and being sent to die in camps.
when I read the work camps part I lost my shit
Just complete mask-off villainy
Imperium defenders be like
I love the like
Penalcamp
because saying concentration-camp is prob too on the nose

Theres also entire worlds dedicated to that kind of thing so it becomes even more fucked up and funny.
Nighty night

Grandpa
I been taking care of her outside for months
Gonna neuter her if I can after a while, don't think she can handle another birth
Cat-tide is real
Felinids as 6th Darktide class…?
What
6th darktide class will be a domestic cat with lightning claws
rollie pollie
He likes to hang with me while I play video games
Omg
Babies

Ha she said penal
Honestly
I genuinely wonder how Imperium Planets decide their niche
Administratum mostly
Like do they just decide or is it like
Planet discovered
Wipe out any sentient life that isn't human
Contact adminstratum
Wait like 1050 years for them to send it's role
Or do they just decide
like
"Yeah fuck it, it's a mining planet"
you'll be shocked to learn that they designate a world a mining planet when it's rich in valuable ores
Gasp
after conducting a geological survey no less
But yeah I was thinking more of like
Let's say the planet is just filled with natural resource
It could be good for either an Agri World
or a Mining world
How do they decide
Like if it's a fucking empty rock with good ore resources then it's mining obviously
But I genuinely wonder how do they do the weird inbetween cases
also what is the critera for a hive world?
"Has breathable air"
?
Is the US compliant with the codex astartes?
no
How do we fix this
Okay
I'll work on this
bro is the emperor irl
this is how astartes were made
they were inspired by his favorite game
battlemace 40 million
