Do they eat them?
no
They eat entire worlds?
they just kill everyone
Angron used to have a band called City Eaters on the planet he landed on
violently
Then should be called world destroyers smh
Read the damn Lexi or Wiki if you are brainrotten.
Misleading name
Tyranid Ripper in your digestive system now
The good guys
Stop crashing out!
But I am the good guy...
no
This remind me of the "original name" of the Ultramarines, War Born.
What other star wars thing is worth watching lately?
the original legion names were neat
Skeleton crew?
Its good
apparently
its not gritty and stuff but its like
fun Star wars shit lol
star wars isn't this super gritty thing anyways aside from Rogue one and Andor
if you like star wars ship design
Ultramarines is above average in term of aggressiveness. But they are weren't poster boys back then.
Uncrowned Princes

its a goldmine of salvaged concept art
iirc
IF and SoH being the poster children of Heresy 2e
I will never forgive GW for
i hate that they actually explain why they're called war eaters lol
especially since they made both of them the best fucking marines in the game
world eaters rather
its literally a line where the guy's like "Ah. Yes. World Eaters. Wink."
some "Say that again" type shit
no
""Primarch! General! Your warriors were eaters of cities, lord, but with you to command us the War Hounds will be eaters of worlds!"
"World Eaters. World Eaters. So shall you be, then, little brothers. Come with me, then, World Eaters.""
Any other good shit?
Ultramarines is called ultramarines because of the colour... lol.
LITERALLY some
They are not that Ultra...
It is though. When Angron began his slave revolt, his band was named Eaters of Cities
I forgor
fuck
anyways this is always funny to me, every IF named character has a mini
same with SoH
anyways GW give IF and SoH more minis
I want to watch IW players suffer
and then make dantioch the first IW named character with a mini

Do it James
i had a dream where there was my high school reunion but everyone was like FREAKISHLY into horus heresy
same with sallies lol
and was talking about the mournival like they were the avengers
I hope they don't get a named character
for eternity
and when they do
its a traitor sally
and i got humiliated for mispronouncing garviel
laugh at this user
LOL
We got no idea if that was even Eldar
I dont know where this weird thing comes from lol
its literally memelore
also if they killed him the world eaters wouldnt exist
well

fanon
ig
Lotara being on the battlefield in general is ???
like why is she there lol
Latara? The chick who is corrupted in the name of loyalty?
she's a captain of a ship
are eldar involved in angron's origin?
no lol
I don't know why people like her. She is weak.
its just victim blaming when everything is Big E's fault
as in weak minded.
Valdor was right in saying the custodians was all he needed for army leading tbh
also insert joke about Forgeworld faces looking like shit here
she has the same weird ass powersword design
the Sword Praetor has
like genuinely not sure wtf she's spposed to do on the tabletop lol
run back to her ship and turn on the guns
real
its an escort mission
Stay on the table and get corrupted every turn.
Jokes aside she better have fucking orbital bombardment
I know its a shit rule
but its so fucking funny
Just dropping a pieplate on the table
and saying everything in it takes damage
"Hmmm what ability will synergize best when our playstyle clumps our units super close to theirs in melee?"
"AHA!"
tbf
WE suck anyways
lol
worst 30k melee SM
by far
they've got worse melee then some shooty focused Marines

When Angron was found by slavers he was surrounded by dead Xenos, and Imperial scholars later theorized that they were Eldar - but that's more of a mouthful than just "Eldar" for a five second joke
Don't worry Lotara will fix World eaters in 30k
by uh
letting you run solar auxillia
Its an overdone and boring joke though so yes
people think its true
is the funniest thing now
well
^
Counterpoint
So many things about the World Eaters are from the era of silly grimdark of WH40K.
It's always the Eldar's fault
you know its bad when World eaters are considered near unplayable beyond a very very casual level without their fucking primarch
on the table
i cant see how space allens have anything to do with Memelore's Favorite Sadguy turning evil
Just like the lore?
In this text for a veteran outfit it says the character's ancestor was in the 3rd war for armageddon. Is this just a mistake on the writer's part or what? It is my understanding that darktide takes place around the same time as the 3rd war for armageddon in 999m41. Anyone have any explanation on this?
like I'm talking everyone is drunk
So, it is book accurate?
Darktide is in M42
post great rift opening
and post lions gate
which is super weird because in 40k proper an All Berzerker Army is a valid strat
Darktide takes place in m42
The opening scene says it's m41
We know its post great rift
they talk about the battle at lions gate
thats what most modern 40k does
its M42
but M41 sounds better on paper lol
nobody in the 40k universe actually knows what time it is
41st millenium is Iconic™️
So how long has it been since armageddon 3?

the issue is they just have shit WS and initative compared to the better melee focused legions
so they get fucking slaughtered
before they get a chance to swing
lol
Its ongoing
or when they swing they get parried
that's hilarious
it started in 998.M41
it's like the Bretonnia Problem crawled out from the dead and returned as WE
imagine a faction based entirely on getting a single cavalry charge in, and half the armies just attack before you
Then my question stands. Is it just a mistake on the writer's part for them to say this character had an ancestor at armageddon 3?
No?
Even in the 2e, the first words of the Codex says "In the 41st M".
Ancestor could mean like
just dont think hard about it
The war happend only a couple years ago right?
its currently around 012.M42
thats centuries ago
That's still a few hundred years there
Like equivalent to your ancestor fighting in the Civil War
Also, DarkTide happened when the Indomitus Crusade was happening full swing.
What?? That's crazy how do I find these things out?
Timeline of The Galaxy:

…
Lexicanum has all of the dates for these things yeah
Which is between 999 M41 to around 100 M42.
Also in-game voicelines tell us a bit about when we're fighting
And we're gonna see Roboute Guilliman and like 50 Custards show up as well (custards will be playable in about a year).
Also some of the rejects experienced time dilation.
012 m42. Is that not 12 years since the end of m41? I don't really understand that
as the latest date
Like the Cadian Vet are already veterans when they saw their planet destruction.
its been 15 years since armagedon 3rd war started
someone could have an ancetor at that battle
Someone said it's been centuries
That was me speaking in general
Okay 15 years
what Elite said is correct
Sure
I was mistaken
Its not like we don't have officers old as shit
Or grandfather
The generation before me, people became grandparents at 35 years old...
Some even earlier...
So grendyl and his team have been here for about 15 years then?
Also the setting has a baked-in cop out where Warp Travel is also a means of accidental time travel
Which someone mentioned earlier
Your own ancestor can, hypothetically, jump forward in time to the Third War.
Grendyl has been alive since at least before the First War of Armageddon
16 years old were the norm in many place in the world, even in europe by the 1960s.
That's Morrow
Grendyl's operation hasn't been like
in this place for like over 2 years I'd say
if we go by irl time since launch coinciding to time around Atoma
lol
I don't think that's the case
it isn't
The Inquisitor who meets him talks about knowing Grendyl
but we know they only recently arrived around atoma
Grendyl is said to be friend with the inquisitor who put Morrow in cryo.
^
However, high ranking inquisitors get life expending surgeries.
They can live for a few hundred years.
Surgeries / rejuvenation treatments
The opening scene says it is the 41st millennium. Did grendyl show up way later after that then?
its just what warhammer does
41st millennium sounds cooler than 42nd millenium
its been that way since 2018 lol
Eisenhorn is over 200 year olds when he died.
Okay so it's just an incorrect statement then?
It’s for Aura
Eh kinda. You can chalk it up to time dialation or people not being aware
the galaxy is big
I see
The trailer says 41st millennium because 40,000 AD is the 41st millennium, that's it. It's branding, not the actual in-lore time
Brahms has been alive for a long time, too.
Well thank you for the clarification
Not you, too...
Shes an attractive older woman

If you say Sefoni, I can understand... but people run with Hadron and Brahms...
Hadron doesn’t even have those organs left probably
Only one way to find out--
This is why the inquisition just kill instead of asking question...
Biometric scans, you perverts!
Try to ask a co-worker to see their reaction...
What does this imply
Fisting?
its been over for a while
vraks veteran after a warp storm be like
I prefer hadron to Brahms
Sure, Brahms is old
But have you considered, older?

The glove of troll claims another victim
Warframe and lore... I gave up on it.
That was Albrecht controlling him through the void to talk to him via making him type smth
Did the spirit of Ben Franklin possess you?
How so?
Benjamin Franklin during the American revolution went to France to recruit France in helping America fight Britain but what he mainly did was go around Paris seducing women. He sent a letter to a friend stating that he should go after older women because they are more experienced and will be all the more grateful for the attention
France still helped pre-americans a lot
yet the descendants of these revolutionaries constantly poke fun at the former
doesn't her being in a ship all the time too kinda mess with the concept of time
but you're right 41st sounds cooler
Tbf the France of the Great War, WW2 and today aren't the France that helped us; it was the French Crown that aided our Revolution
Yes.
Another yes
who wanna go travel through the warp with no preparations and experience
maybe we'll see somethin cool
Maybe
But I don't want to be able to see out of every orifice when the trip is over
"You wanna go down by the bridge?"
Ye
me when i turn off the gellar field (it's april 1st and im feeling mischievous)
idk why this was in the search for Y
me fr

Booooring.
Hey people.
Genuine question, 'cause I'm curious: How come Space Marines get their hate? Is it just because of SM Fans™️ (a la yours truly) or a narrative reason? Speaking as someone who actually used to hate 40K until a few years ago, it was Space Marines and the Horus Heresy that got me hooked; their diversity of characterization, their relationships with their gene-fathers and -cousins, their demeanor as tactical space knights, and so on. They're just such a rich part of the lore imo, so it gets my noggin going when people occasionally seem sick of them, is all
From what I've experienced? The fans are the issue.
Space Marines themselves are fairly compelling (when written well)
I see boobing.
Seems to be a part issue over overrepresentation and the fans
- the perception is that Space Marines get way too much attention from GW so fans of other factions feel snubbed
- the fans generally are obnoxious, cling to memelore, and don't engage with the setting like everyone else (perceived, at least)
90% of the fanbase only know of marines as unstoppable.
Overrepresentation in the lore, that's definitely helping
so basically the same thing the others said
I so much agree with poster boyism
You know, I kind of love how in the 9e/10e, marines are presented as more human and less of demi-gods.
Space mar- 💤
no
Poster boy of 9e? Dead as a nobody.
But then you get the problem that some Imperial guard fans (Cadians, Krieg mains) have
Poster girl of 9e? Sidelined dead.
It's just how fandoms are
boob plate
Where they never shut up.
ye
Krieg mains only speak ab krieg
yeah being anti-fans gets pretty annoying too
and shovels
they're all cool in their own ways but definitely are constantly over glazed
Our existence is heresy.
The shovel is the perfect trench fighting mf-ers not knowing about maces and trench spikes
i'm a blood angels fan boy though so i can't really say much when it comes to hyping up something yk
Literally, trench club carries
Going only over specific subfactions over and over is like going to a country with fantastic cuisine and only eating the singular stereotype meal
Brother, explore
Oh for sure.
People either call the shovel the best melee, or the worst melee, rarely in between...
It is a multitool.
This all gives me a second question, then; why is the same SM fatigue applied to a story like the Horus Heresy? Isn't it to be expected that SM dominate a narrative surrounding the Primarchs?
i'm gonna send some cat pics to pet tide
It's fine.
my cat is distracting me
it's like vet chat every patch
Space Marine fans being the face of the IP get the most amount of fans and this unfortunately includes a ton of people that are just either sexists, racists, homophobes or straight up nazis among many other forms of chuddery due to the fact that they envoke a great sense of Epicness / Masculinity among other things as big dudes in armor. Thats the surface fandom side of things.
Secondly they are extremely overexposed and while they do somewhat get overhated you probably dont realise just how much they tend to hog spotlight and are just good at everything. They got the most minis, most books, most lore while most other factions (Imperials included) kinda largely barely get anything over the years or need to deal with their dudes always playing, second, third or fourth fiddle to them and accept it. I think overhating Marines is a bad thing but they unfortunately somewhat prove the reasons correct from the stuff both their fandom and GW does.
This really isnt that much of a conundrum imo.
sure you can argue that you're essentially getting exactly what you're paying for with HH
oh we fucked them over right after the war, they expected us to pay them back for the support and that never happened lol
Damn, copy pasta?
but you can also say every investment into HH is an investment that could've been put into 40k proper
its actually part of what caused the French revolution
Its like how almost every black templar fan is some sort of dipshit
Or how almost 90% of the people I banned here over the years have had either a statue pfp or a space marine pfp.
It very much is a stereotype with a ton of truth behind it.
Honestly, no idea on that. Horus heresy should be space marine centric and there's a ton of great characterization there
the revolution has been building up for a loooong time by that point
yeah
that's pretty accurate about the black templar fan base
Me about to make my pfp a statue of a space marine
most i've met are ignorant of their own ignorance
Yeah they very much do not help themselves, most BT fans who are chill I know want nothing to do with their core fandom lol
Do it!!!!
but the burden of supporting the US in its war made their already sruggling economy even worse
you could replace SM with krieg and it would still be applicable
I don't wanna get banned
and then the king never got his money back
i like them bc they look cool but there's too much dogma and the actual fans are just "i'm racist so i'll pick the most racist faction"
Statistically unlikely
you put on a space marine pfp and you become a different person
Because its just more Marines.
This is also a larger issue in itself where HH is slowly starting to hog even more attention away from the main setting because its nothing but space Marines. Primarchs also are another can of worms because they are essentially Marvel characters who everyone claps the moments they see them while soyjacking about how epic they are as they kill generic evil chaos champions or evil mindless aliens.
1/10 is huge. It is much better survival rate that the Imperial Guard.
You don't survive in the guard by betting on yourself being the exception.
I try to like most factions, there's only a couple that have me roll my eyes more often than not
Mostly you survive by sheer dumb luck
just read on the blatant corruption of this tax collecting org https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferme_générale
The ferme générale (French pronunciation: [fɛʁm ʒeneʁal], "general farm") was, in ancien régime France, essentially an outsourced customs, excise and indirect tax operation. It collected duties on behalf of the King (plus hefty bonus fees for themselves), under renewable six-year contracts. The major tax collectors in that highly unpopula...
antoine lavoisier the chemistry guy was part of that. it's how he got his funding actually
Yea the only one I really can't get behind is tyranids despite a few attempts
a crash course on poli sci attributed one of the major causes to France never liberalizing in the middle ages the way England did
yeah
yeah same here, tyranid lore is so boring to me
why do you think their economy was in the shitter for so long?
"ROWBOAT GURLYMAN IS CRACKIN XENOS"
I guess it's just a difference of taste then. Uncomplicated heroics like that are my bread and butter
"I CAME IN MY PANTS WHEN SANGUINIUS MADE HIS EPIC SPEECH
"
again supporting the US was not what caused the revolution it was one small part of it, keyword part
It's like I'm being possessed by the collective spirit of every single person who ever has a Marcus Aurelius pfp.
😭😭😭
it's less the heroics imo so much as the marvelization, at least that's my problem with them
Pretty much, but again it has a lot of truth behind it. And unfortunately most space marine fans do not help themselves.
^
what?
primarchs are literally taking over modern 40k lol
where it's only the few characters that come up over and over
we have basically accepted the setting revoles around them now
oh no
revolutions are almost always the result of dozens if not hundreds of problems big and small building up over long periods of time
essentially the gradual liberalizing of England via empowering the parliament and gradually expanding its house of commons created a non-violent integration of the people into politics
primarchs were a mistake
the American revolution had been brewing for decades before it started
I feel an overwhelming urge to discuss masculinity in the modern context...
And a desire to suddenly act like being rich is my best character trait.
And maybe start being openly racist.
I've yet to read the books but i'd like to but i think i see what you're talking about, most lore videos and shorts i see nowadays are typically revolved around the 2 primarchs that returned, whether or not Dorn lives or Corax stalking Lorgar
while this hadn't happened in france, and so a violent uprising was due
But often it's just stuff about Guilliman or Johnson
it just makes the setting so much smaller and that's unfortunate
This is pretty funny though
You know, give Guilliman his gf back might make the setting more interesting.
Since they nerfed her, everything is back to pre 9e.
Its not bad to like them but the overexposure is what kinda makes the setting feel small imo.
i do think so far that if they'd never elaborated on HH at all, like no books, nothing, then 40k proper would be a stronger setting
I'd be curious to see how it would play out but i think fans are too spiteful towards literally every single person who isn't human
Primarchs/Space Marines are essentially the Jedi of 40k
"I clapped when he said the one liner"
no im wondering why you mentioned it as being from political science. this is pretty well known information from a historical perspective
because 40k is a science-fantasy, and so there is such a thing as over-explaining things that are best made mysterious
Unfortunately lol
the moment an eldar is on screen or whatever it's immediately purge it
because i learned it in my political science lecture?
I know the guilliman and elf woman thing is just a meme but I think it would actually be interesting storywise
i'm all about the jokes and stuff when i'm playing the games but trying to get new content and lore doesn't have to be about strictly hate
The Imperium won't last forever hating and isolating from everything
don't shoot me for saying that pls
i learned it in french writing class. not second language french, like your version of english class
it's pretty well known
that's cool
"It's 40k time" -Guilliman or somethin idk
You acknowledging this makes you smarter than most people
and thats a very low bar in this fandom
lmao

I just see it in real life too lmao
YEP
I like to compare my hyperfixations with real time events
40k is still satirical to some extent so that checks out
its wild to me how people unironically adopt the imperial talking points about the space aliens
Doesn't speak very well of today does it lol
Funny because the Jedi are also indirectly the cause of all the problems in their setting
You put anything Mr Donald does into 40k and it would look seemless
Crazy sector governor puts tarriffs on everyone and causes a near-civil war as all his allies in the territories abandon him
I think that's because the Tau were an attempt to reach a different audience
I feel the point of it in some ways is what things would be if extreme zealotry and isolationism were to persist and be everyone's entire livelihood
Its also a very basic moral
Like Middle Ages Europe
Church ruled with an iron fist
real af lol
Yeah 40k also parodies that a lot
It got so bad
Most fans take it to the extreme
Many people fail this easy task.
yeah the Imperium is definitely meant to be socially regressive
I'm driven by hate but not like that yo, that shit's wack yo
Talk about people not being able to read the room
I love Warhammer but the Imperium is flawed and i'm tired of hiding that fact lol
it also such an obvious example of parody that you have to be mentally maladapted to take it seriously
Literally.
Love the Emprah
but he would hate what things have become
The Inquisition especially
the setting's less interesting if the Imperium isn't flawed anyway
They also take this as an attack too.
Nobody is saying you cant enjoy the Imperium, just like- maybe be in on the joke of it being awful, it makes it more fun. Theres no good guys in 40k
Now, as a human supremacist, I love hating things that are different than I am.
at that point it's just Mary Sue Geopolitics
Don't forget loading screens in game literally tell you that if you're open minded you're not loyal essentially lmao
or Galapolitics
But there is a line
or whatever
real
I feel that the ingame darktide characters even make jokes and references to the flaws ingame
At least my Cadian vet does lol
the extent of acceptable criticism seems to be like how it works in china where you're allowed to essentially critique middle management and say they're traitors to the Imperium
The Loner psyker is the one that critizes the Imperium the most.
The others are too indoctrinated to mostly care but that makes their ignorance funnier.
but you can't question the Imperium itself
War sucks and that's what he acknowledges, there's no time for friends and family when all you've been put through is strict militaristic lifestyles, where it's do this or get shot in the head by the boss
do you lads think humanity would be xenophobic or xenophilic if aliens popped into our sky tomorrow and said hi
NPC names in this game 💔
Yes.
we barely tolerate each other
probably yeah
Have you seen the Balkans?
He's a conspiracy theorist. Nobody listens to him
Someone would try to fuck the aliens day 1 and they'd cause our annihilation
I always see memes with space marine 2 clips talkin about aliens not being the image of god so i know damn well people would shoot on sight
I'm like Jay though from Jay and Silent Bob when it comes to that matter
i will not elaborate
Yes. Easily.
watch the movie or look it up
the SM2 memes are the worst
what does yes mean i asked if we'd be one or either
it means yes
THATS THE JOKE
I like some but most are overused
Real
My favorites are the xenophilic xenophobes.
They get really mad if you point out their beliefs would count as beastiality.
fascism*
i know i can edit it but it's funnier now that way lol
do you guys wanna see my cat
i think going by how many theories answering the fermi paradox involve the universe being evil af exist, we'd be pretty xenophobic
one sec

Cat
them repeating the same jokes is one thing, i just don't like when they start spouting memelore
perpetuating the ignorance and such
he's in pet tide
Ulghu Taintflicker has to be of the names of all time to give yourself as a daemonette
excuse me?
or at least the government would be
Memelore is the only correct lore
"Erectus! Ejaculous! We must purge the heretic!"
Only nerds read books
i hope aliens arrive and kill most politicians
And space Marines aren't nerds
please god
i just need to stop thinking and insist salamanders are wholesome chungus
oh LOL
asking to get rid of violent people through violence?
idk man
aliens aint comin
not like this
Correct. Ignore the charred tiny eldar corpses
Do NOT ask us Salamanders how we refer to those of our kind who come from the underground city 💔
imagine being in a sandbox and you see ants struggling to get past a little rock. wouldn't you just remove it?
i think it'd be the funniest thing if aliens show up but they're socially backwards because of how people write about they'd be so enlightened
so they show up and are like "yo, mercantilism was actually the way to go"
"IDK why you stopped"
"also we're racist"
They're just hicks who got good at making technology
i like the smiling friends joke where the earth is straight up flat and it's treated as horror
yeah literally lmao
Imagine if humanity turns out to be the most tolerant and enlightened species
imagine conspiracy theories are true it would be pretty scary
"oh don't let the spaceship fool you, we actually still think if it ain't zooblox it aint right"
Like, our baseline is far more enlightened. I would have an aneurysm.
When you look at the huge majority of the demographic of people who run auto-shops it starts to make more sense that they could be
A classic gotcha moment ey
Not very "humane" to see as another humans as just mere obstacle, to be "removed". Imagine taking the people causing harm upon others and helping them understand their mistakes, and try to make up for them as much as possible anyway
the idea that we've been wasting time with politics and philosophy while cavemen on another planet achieved interstellar tech
would be pretty disappointing
Violence is a good thing when it's used for good and just purposes, especially removing those in positions of power who mercilessly use and abuse others
that was not intended as a gotcha. you can easily refute the premise lol
Oops got too real, it will happen again
Violence is Good when Good uses it against Evil. Simple as.
im not taking this convo seriously i just think it's funny to think of aliens being dumb and little green men
every conspiracy theorist being proven right
Some like to say evil does not exist and it sort of doesn't to an extent
I say if you are aware that what you do hurts others, and you disregard that
You're pretty evil bro
Defining harm itself is difficult
Holy shit the moon landing WAS faked
that would be such a boring reveal since it doesn't even matter to modern day lol
Just wait for when Mr Donald switches from being anti-alien to insisting they are actually pretty swell.
oh, moon landing confirmed fake. anyways...
And when aliens are integrated with us he'll own a teenage alien pageant and walk in on them while they're naked whenever he wants
Like he did before

And admitted to on a radio show
Somebody call SNL and tell those spineless hacks to run this skit
this isn't 40k lore this irl lore
Which is technically 40k lore
When you think about it
This post will be rediscovered in the Noosphere and cause a cataclysmic schism in the Mechanicus
"our entire society... was designed 40,000 years ago as a marketing tool to sell plastic trinkets"
This is all Tzeentch just troubleshooting
About to drop the hardest dox of all time by listing the government names and coordinates of every fragment of Tzeentch's shattered power
Lore chat gets like this sometimes
Its kind of a chiller general chat
yeah and gif embed works
Haven't seen much drama yet since joining it's been pretty tame. small debates but never anyone actually arguing
well
"So what are you going to do about it, big guy? You gonna tell on me to dad-athema and have your Administratum send me gold spangled glitterbombs? 'Cause I'll let you know right now I change addresses every five minutes."
there was the Nurgle incident last night
Nurgle incident?
nurgle incident?
It's not a Nurgle incident without me dropping The Gif Nuke
Ahhhh
He was also just talking shit and been rude
but quite literally was playing shit sounds into the mic lmao
the video is somewhere in main chat someone had recorded it
imagine doing a havoc and fucking nurgle joins and infests your VC
It reminded me of a video i saw of arma reforger, someone took the other team's radio and started playing shit sounds too
When she said it was Nurgle I said Nurgle cultists hacked the vox😭
cult of admonition is making money moves now
Yarp that's the one
i think main chat rn is talking about color blindness
Guh
Earlier today there was someone suggesting that the Emperor was right, so I'll take the colour blindness talk over it
really, malcador should've just kept the emperor in his tibetan science laboratory
and led things himself
LOL
Honestly I don’t think Malcador would have not done the whole
“Join or die” thing
I think he would have tbh
either way, its clear the emperor needs a Steve Jobs type to control him
He probably would be quite as bad
he's not a good Ideas Guy, if you will
a silicon valley story but its different business-facing dudes trying to convince the Emperor to work with them
"you've literally cured cancer we can change the world and make millions off of this man"
"No, I want to make super soldiers."
its like that spiderman meme with Dr. Dinosaur or wahtever
but i don't WANT to cure cancer, i want to make super soldiers and take over the galaxy!
Damn I missed an argument with him today?
shark tank but it's the Emperor pitching his Thunder Warriors
“Sorry Neoth can you repeat that part about horrific organ failure and cancer”
Look at the comment from "Manfred von Kloss"
Oh fun, I think Ive seen this guy around before
SHARK MENTIONED
Do you think the emperor tried to pitch space marines or custodes
To people during the DAOT
"Hold on, you're gonna use them to do what?"
yknow maybe the reason he became the emperor was because nobody liked his space marine galaxy-conquest idea
nvm i had a meme but can't find it
so he just said "fuck it, ill do it myself"
LOL
“Look if we kill or re-educate all the religious people it’ll work”
- the emperor
kevin o'leary just going "I'm out." to this just sounds so fucking funny
LOL
The emperor trying to pitch the idea of the great crusade
The rest of the Perpetuals
“Neoth this is a terrible idea”
post-shark tank interview the emperor's just like "Yeah I really thought they'd go for that, I did not expect that response at all."
Haemonculi shark tank
Make it a thing
Or mechanicus shark tank
On getting things into parliament
"Neoth, what the fuck is the point of that idea"
“Look if we get rid of all the religious people then clearly the warp will no longer have anything to feed on. Since that’s obviously the only thing that contributes to it”
we just need an edit of kevin o'leary with bionics
neophytes pitch their tech ideas, like a new pattern of tank. if they get voted off? servitorized
"MELTA-GUN SPONSONS? That's the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard. I'm out."
a few years later
“Huh I guess I was wrong”
Melta sponsons are still the funniest shit ever tbh
Does the imperium have something like Robot wars, using c.a.t units?
They Chronogladiators
if only, you get turned to ash for making any modifications to the blessed designs
a tech priest would have a stroke seeing Robot wars
Servitor used for Gladiatorial fights
have you guys seen this btw?

this looks sick
Such a cool kitbash
Wait what ranged weapons ?
Bolter
Flamer on the other side.
Look more like a ripper gun. Though, same shit.
Is it a kit bash, I thought it was a official model?
Krieger 'Krash' Thrax (sometimes spelt Kriegar[1a] or Crash[1b]) was a Chrono-gladiator and adversary of Kal Jerico.[2]

It's not really a model that is sold afaik, but is a model that was made by some dude at GW
I kinda wanna learn more ab the inquisition now
It’s a kitbash
Back in ye old days GW didn’t make minis for everything
You had to DO IT YOURSELF
And then chapterhouse happened
And then 10e pretty much put the last nail in aside from deathwatch and like some tau stuff
yeah its a Blanche art turned Kitbash
they did this a lot back in the day like Elite said
what'd chapterhouse do?
The ruling said GW could not make rules for stuff that didn’t have minis or any reasonable alternative possible
Which killed inqusition even more then it already did
Chapterhouse themselves absolutely did not want the court to rule that way
Lol
It was a lose lose situation
wait i never heard of the original situation
what happened?
GW told chapter house to stop making minis with the exact name of GW units. Chapter house said no.
GW sues chapter house, legal clusterfuck ensues, ends up going horribly for everyone involved
The psyker in darktide is unsanctioned right?
Yes
Wonder how they stayed under the radar for so long
even the enforcer one?
That alone makes psyker the most criminal of criminals
GW and chapter house both basically get told to get fucked tbh
Yes
How do u become an enforcer if unsanctioned
Since it was like 3 guys
The Savant tried to hide the power.
Doesn’t use their psychic powers
Yes
Let alone learn to control it alone
The Seer did the same.
Must have been hell
Control it alone yes
Where did the seer work?
But you might also die horribly
i thought the enforcers just let him be as their psychic watchdog or something
If you don't use it, it wouldn't run amok.
my initial thought hearing he was unsanctioned was just enforcers being corrupt
wait so they weren't even allowed to make 3rd party minis anymore?
Chapter house were told to stop making 3rd party minis with the similar designs and names yes
It literally went badly for everyone involved in the lawsuit
the inquisition is known to overlook it from time to time
in RT your Idira is unsanctioned
They are powerful fodder.
GW could just eat it because big company
Yeah but under the protection of a rogue trader
so essentially GW was told if you want to own it, make a mini of it
I doubt Brahms gives a shit about me
the inquisition is still in their rights to just kill her
GW was told “if you want to make the rules for something it must have a mini or a reasonable alternative that is easy to do”
The day moebian domain goes back to normal and connects back to imperium
They will probably just kill the psyker lmao
Can you even get sanctioned at that age
And then chapter house was told “you cannot make 3rd party minis with the same names and really similar designs to things that exist in art or based off of existing things”
So like

many of the rejects will get liquidated, a special few will be allowed to stick around as Grendyl's Top Shooters is my guess
the best-performing, most loyal ones
Depend on how much you suck the inquisition.
Who draws the line at similar
Loner Psyker is doomed
The Loner is 100% goner.
The court
Lol
GW now also does have a team who helps 3rd party 3d print designers if they ask for it
Lol
LC Veteran is also probably doomed
Even then, an unsanctioned psyker who has been hiding their powers for years
They can't afford that
Agitator?
Because they don’t really want that sort of legal attention again
Professional Veteran or Cadian Veteran have a decent shot at remaining Inquisitorial Kill Goons
no idea about any of the zealots
ogryns are probably safe because they're super easy to recondition
Agitator is clearly faking the whole gracious way of talking and whatnot
Bro has a sailor mouth in private
Except Bully, that one is actually a smart one.
I really wanna see how the agitator talks when they aren't trying to be a goody two shoes priest forcing themselves to sound cool
do you think the Bully will get culled if he survives Darktide?
or would he be kept around
Culled, his commentaries are noted.
Killed imo
Unless the “danger zone” rejects prove incredibly useful
They’re on the chopping block
like when the crisis is over there's no real reason to keep open seditionists along
LC Vet, Loner Psyker (ALL the Psykers?), Bully Ogryn all getting purged after Darktide
Unless they’re extremely competent and useful
maybe they earn the right for a quick death
Also, all of them have implant. Bully tries to make it like nothing happens, but people in charge do know about his intelligence and possible compromise.
Savant has a chance to get sanctioned properly or kept around
I think seer is fucked
Loner is def fucked unless they can really really really do something
What’s a prize for orks to be trying to loot from an agri-world?
i don't think any of those particular individual rejects would be indispensable enough for their questionable loyalty
slaves
He’s funny though
Boring
it's not talked about a lot the orks love slavery
Food, slaves, gubbins(scrap)
Lots of industrial
Scrap
Where’s the gubbins
and will work humie gits to death
Well yeah but this warboss wouldn’t care too much about that
Humies don’t do anything better than orks anyways
All of those are good bits for Meks
maybe not the warboss but his mekboyz would
The slaves are mostly for fun
since the mekboyz need extra hands to skrew in boltz into gunz and such
That’s what grots are for
yeah but if you have millions of humies it goes faster
Easier to kick around too
this iirc was a module in Only War
where the orks have a slave factory for making arms in the region
Also yeah runt heardz take human slaves
Cut throat might get a second chance if the Cadians back them up. Cadian regiments needed good veterans during that time to rebuild their forces.
Yeah but the Boyz are trying to fix up a space hulk and Humies tend to be too fragile
They die too easy in those conditions
The capital planet of the agri world is still gonna have some pretty valuable tek
Just very violent and angry
Man, there is an andor shaped hole in my head now
Enough for a mekboy to make something work with it
Loose Cannon is pretty seditious for a guardsman
Cutthroat is a cadian that alone will make them keep him
There’s so much fucking mechanical stuff
Yeah but there's getting metal parts and then there's getting the parts to fix up a space ship
Of the 3 zealots
Judge is peak
I meant capital city
I was thinking I could style it that there’s some archeotech component like a engine/thruster that’s built into one of the major buildings when he original settlers cannibalized their ships
Well you’ve got lots of gears and such imo
Wherever the Government is is going to have the advanced teknology
CAST YOU TO HELL!!!!
That works
Tbh
Are they metal?
I think Judge is pretencious... but so is the Imperium...
Cause rn the hulk doesn’t have good enough worky gubbins to really move
Aside from the killing rich people just like poor people thing
Lol
Which the inqusition might side eye
A bit
And that makes a kill kroozer not very good
The Governor could also have archeotech in his McMansion just for greed purposes as well
If propulsion is the issue
If you need a large diversity of gubbins
Well yeah, but not the appropriate size
OK this might be a wacky idea but hear me out
Adeptus Mechanicus keeps a Titan a
warehouse secretly on the planet
It’s in nihilus so no tithes are really being kept up
Well could just be ships trying to collect the tithe
Tbh
Cause this engine is really zoggin fast, and this big mek plans to tellyport it back onto the hulk to reverse engine-ear
Or have a local “tithe” system going on
That would work
Okay but more zoggin engines
Cause sure they could attack the nearby forge world, but killing machines is less fun
There'd be engines on the various orbital platforms as well around an agri-world
And they’re harder to raid
Goes to show how insane the rest are
Imagine one of those modern excavation machines
Orbital defenses would be a lot scarier around a forge world
Also attacking random largely un defended farming worlds is funny
But for harvesting like
Fanatic is just drunk tho
Besides that he is fine
“Blood for the emperor, skulls for the golden throne”
Which if the whole point is to REBUILD the spaceship, getting it more damaged fighting defense platforms is counterproductive
so yeah the agri world is the better idea
I mean that does make sense in the context he is a creative guy, it is probably just a coincidence
“I will attack strategically unimportant positions cause it’s less work, and more fun!”
The golden throne DOES have skulls
hell, you could also just raid the agri world purely for all of its defense macro-batteries and strap those to the engines
using guns to fly around is definitely orky, and scientific!
Would the people who get decide if they kill them or not even know about that cheer
Or the blood god version?
Could even simply just decide they went there by accident
Roks are hard to steer
i mean yeah if it's a damaged kroozer you don't exactly get to choose where you go
Well rn the hulk is just floating
although roks iirc specifically are for inter-system travel
or
intra-system
but same idea
you can't decide your location, and orks are very resourceful
just if i were a mekboy, my first thought would be the planet's capital would have the shiniest gubbinz
Well the system we’re in warp travel doesn’t exactly work due to proximity to the rift
So everything will be in system
and if that's where the PDF is based from too, that also means that's where the best fight would be
so you can have you cake-squig and eat it too
This mek thinks he’s gonna fix up this hulk and then take it into Gork’s grin, to fight whatever is on the uvver side
After krumpin all the humie planets and taking their loot first, of course
should stop by the local asteroid belt and throw some roks at the forge world
How did it go wrong for GW?
Generally not winning the case
They probably will
