Ah the tabletop one
their was an inquisitor whos entire retinue was just kroots once
The fuck
my minions
The game has a tech priest, a space wolf and a beautiful navigator
I am happy
If you don't bring someone to missions, do u not get their companion story?
no
bring them to missions they want to be there on
Can I just just not bring kibellah to missions?
Oh sick
You’ll get it, but you have to bring them to quest missions for them
you can not bring kibellah aside from the ones where she needs to be there
I thought I would miss out on some companion stuff if I didn't bring them
For sure
but its fine
I will do that
their is a mod w it that lets them be able to talk and comment on shit w out actually being there tho idk the name
I do all the companion stuff even though I don’t like most of them
Toybox
It’s a setting
I WILL do all of them
you cannot do all of them
due to a funny incident later
God they don't shut up
no
i had argenta blow idira head smooth off
you can only bring 5 people with you max
into the funny zone
so the full party of 6
I’m considering doing an RT one since in the Gilead system Rogue Trader Jakal Varonius has taken control of defense in the sector
anyone not with y ou won't have anything to deal with the funny zone
you can also just hand her over to heinrix and hell send her to become a sanctioned psyker
no he won't
he absolutely just kills her lol
And that's where all of these companion stories end?
She will never be seen again
no
well he says he will atleast
They just have unique stories there
I wanna do all the companion stories...
Multiple playthrough
Think my team will be the space wolf, the tech priest, cassia, argenta, and whoever the fuck I feel like
You still can, they just play out differently based on who you bring to act 3
no abelard yea youre cooked
Fuck him
missing best dialogues in the game
My current run is no Abelard
I love Abelard
Cause I need to play with the characters I haven’t yet
More like most annoying
I can talk for myself thank you very much annoying man
And I will kill him for it
But I have Abelards dialogues enabled on toybox so I can always hear his voice in my head
I will kill Abelard the first chance I get
Yea in this case you can certainly use "don't want to accidentally cause a Rogue Trader dynasty trade war" as an excuse to explain why people don't shoot xenos on sight even if they see and know one.
Nevermind offending one RT, if you are employed by one for security and you cause a diplomatic incident, you made TWO RTs into your enemies...
abelard put down a funky beat while we beat this hopless ganger to fucking death
Same
In fact might bring him in case he can die somewhere
He hates the poor people until you remind him that they do in fact have souls too
Anywhere in game where I can get Abelard killed?
then he just dislikes poor people
rather then go the whole
Easily
I reminded him that, he didn't give a shit
Sacrifice him to the pit
The pit
Tell me the planet so I can know to bring him there
Does anyone know?
You can sacrifice a party member
You get the option to save them later but you can just choose not to
You even get a special ending slide for it!
its the pit
Nice, definitely doing that
I forgot
anyways
you can't always sacrifice someone iirc
you need to pass some checks
But what planet, if I didn't bring Abelard, can I leave, take him, and come back?
also you're definetly feeding something to a Chaos God or daemon
I forgor
its ap lanet
in act 2
im gonna have to kill cassia for this in my next run through for this slight
That doesn't narrow it down at all

The only issue is, Varonius doesn’t want people to know he works with xenos, or his tenuous alliance with the Aeldari, so I don’t think he’d be able to give you proof you work for him, and he’s probably deny involvement
Now hold on
Just look for it bro you only have 809 planets to look through bro
We can sort this out
I think a framework is actually called “the deniables”
Oh commorragh
Sick
He is coming
I have some mods in rt, but also the "unlock achievements despite mods" mod
Does that mod actually work
It’s near footfall I think, believe me, you’ll know when you see it
But I would have to know before I see it so I have Abelard with me
You can just get back in the ship and swap party if you see the pit
Very funny
Sick
Fun
i hated the beginning of it
I actually liked it
Yeah just don’t interact with the pit
I kinda wanna start a new run and be dogmatic but I am saving that for an arbite zealot run
mainly cause i was so debuffed i literally could not use my gun anymore
Stimms baby
Guy got a headache
Fixes all that shit up
Wrong game bruh
No there’s actually an achievement for it
Use enough stimms to ignore your injuries at the start of act 3
POWER THROUGH THE PAIN
This will kill you in Commoragh
i could not for the life of me get that achievement to kill the demon engine thing w the plasma coils you know what im talking abt
Idira had head trauma for like half of rykad minoris
And I didn't even know
That's why I am saving Ike 30, in case I really need them
@astral burrow be aware, the pit doesn’t tell you who your sacrificing, it’s cryptic
i gave her permanent head trauma
I can tell dw
I am not silly
Spoiler ||You lose everything in commoragh||
Max hass moment
I ain't clicking that
I love comorroagh
Commoroagh sounds like there are orks there
Good
It’s the drukhari’s funny city
Will keep you genuine
i do like after commorqg abelard like boss im getting to fucking old for this shit can i just retire after we figure all this dumb shit out
All the funny sub realms
There’s all kinds of meat there
Plenty of slaves
It’s the dark eldar dimension
As long as cassia is alive idc who dies
@astral burrow about The Pit, note the following...
(1) If you choose to do a search for someone after sacrificing them, you can find said someone again, empowered with a bonus. But you cannot use the pit twice (I usually use it to empower Cassia even more)
(2) IIRC, The Space Wolf and Marazhai cannot be killed by the pit at all.
Fun fact, cassia is illegal there as psykers make the dimension go fucky wucky
I won't be in the pit for a whiiiile
Can't take her there?
She isn't a psyker tho
Well technically so is Idira, if we are talking about Commorragh
Psykers are very neat there
Iconoclastness goes out the window if they mess with cassia
Well yeah but he didn’t mention her
Cassia isn’t a Psyker

It’s the drukhari
Psychic

She still has warp shit
Idk who they are
I let the thieves in my lower decks go
They made sense
Am I gonna regret that
Dark eldar, absurdly evil
also no clue if it was on meta but this is what i had kibellah running for end game and it worked rlly well
Osym is in 35 days bruh leave me alone I am busy

She can’t explode into a torment nexus
Dark Eldar.
They look at our Nazis and Pol Pots and think "amateurs"
Nah actually don’t
Yet you participate in 40k chat and act confused, you will be destroyed by my hand
That is all that needs be said
It’ll explain it
Do it
Fun I like killing evil people
Enough to be lore accurate to his character
Huh?
What are you talking about?
also my goat
the discombobulater
I’ve never seen that
Why is the grip like that
It's a Heavy Bolter I think
you get it from the little like story quicktime event thing from a helbrute
have to pick right choices etc
So ugly
also be like tier 1 or 2 heretical
No
krait is just a professional bad opinion haver man idk
That's the ugliest gun I have ever seen I am serious
@raven stone idk if I can do the RT route, as this rt would probably deny xenos involvement officially
She doesn’t even need guns
She’s so busted
Just focus on buying ALL the Navigator talents first
also its shame you only get this right before finall boss
I wonder how cassia acts if I treat her like shit at the start
I am too attached to try
Oh yeah that's going on the tech priest
what i had on pasqal had 60pen and 33-49 dmg
so 3+ attks every round
i think im going to finally play through phantom liberty 2 years late and do a melee only run
maybe try out the wrist rocket thing even tho iv been told its mid
she will suffer horrible fates yet to be seen
Unless there’s something I’m missing
Please dont
I thought people like our rejects wouldn't have any knowledge on what a daemonhost is
Is that in a little primer before we're sent out to die or something?
we love indentured servitude
We are a part of the Inquisition
Ordo Hereticus too lol
put bombs in their necks idk
Yeah but that would imply his involvement
Tbf we're being forcefully enlisted by the Inquisition, not formally trained and recruited unless I'm missing something
We very much are formally trained
He does not want people knowing he’s openly involved with xenos
Later on perhaps
why do people think most of the Reject character-cast is untrained?
literally only the Zealots are homeless crackheads lol
Not right after you get pulled off the prison ship
Veteran is literally a VETERAN
Yeah the issue is they all got experience in fighting to some degree
Not like specially trained by the inquisition though
i mean hows anyone going to know are you branding them or something
they arent fresh off the boat idiots
They are trained idiots
I am insulted
My point is, if you see a group of xenos, even with collars, you’re probably just gonna shoot them
Trained with military experience is different from "this is a daemonhost, this is definitely your first time ever even hearing about one"
Of course they're trained
I'm not saying they're idiots who can't even hold a gun
Ordo Hereticus.
It is similar
I don’t think they’re given special briefings on them
Again we are in the middle of an active chaos invasion
Are we in a warp storm?
Beyond the basic “this is bad, don’t do x, y and z”
and we are a proper part of the Warband at this point
It's never showed anywhere that they're given this knowledge
They don’t give them a master class on it
think so
They dont really need to though.
This isnt some huge secret
I assume it’s done in transit or whatever
^
When they are briefed on the mission
Also offscreen
a lot of mission dialogue does this stuff
like
mfers are goign "How are we not dead from getting in contact with poxwalkers"
In darktide? No. Beyond the great rift but that’s galaxy wide
and most of the dialogue speaks of decontamination/purifying protocols when you are midway through an operation
Maybe Cadia vet knows what it would sound like but a voiceline like that is what prompted me to think about it
"I know a daemonhost when I hear one"
Cadia would 100% know
That's the only one I would imagine having seen it prior
They’ve been constantly assaulted
We are a part of the Inquisition, its very much again not that weird for people to know what a daemonhost is.
Also daemons are talked about a little in holy texts in a general sense
^
True, but it's stated in lore that almost any resident of the Imperium doesn't know DHs exist
You’d be like “oh it’s the thing from the myths”
Any resident
again
we are a part
They don’t know they’re real
Oh my goop I'm not arguing it anymore
They’ve heard of them probably, just might think them as just stories
Yeah because they arent gonna show us what they all do 24/7 lol
Show me the Morningstar commissary
I wanna see the food court
This but unironically
I wish other classes also had planet specific voice options
Too much work.
This game has over 100,000+ voicelines as per a dev blog lol
actually it might be even more
i cant remember, it was a ridiculous number
Thought it was like 80K voice lines and above
I wonder if that counts every line of text from "conversation" types or if the conversations count as one
Probably does
I'm assuming it counts every line
Me when I hear "Ohhh... Dreg Shotgunner." 80k times
Considering the fact that theres still interactions people have not heard in this game after 3 years I dunno

Heard this in his voice
I heard a new conversation yesterday but I forgor which one
How did you do that
My point exactly

Veteran gets one smh
I try to type out how certain characters say a phrase
Its fun
I hate the loose cannon line where they're just a dick to someone making a call-out
Antagonizes two team members because the other one stands up for the one for no reason
Even though they spam call-outs 24/7 unprompted
Its peak.

its the same reason I love the Bully ogryn
an ogryn whos just an asshole is great
Yeah it actually gives it another type of character besides the overly friendly giants
and reminds you of old world ogres
I don't tag an enemy all match and my character's screeching the government name of every special and elite in a mile radius
Then someone else does it once
I do like that it gives the rejects something other than a strange amount of companionship though, like this is a trying time and your current condition blows, of course some are gonna be a bit frustrated and take it out on others
It is a somewhat realistic depiction of stress getting the better of people
To add to that, Loose also one time mentions he had a dream where all his teeth fell out and starting laughing at him.

And to be fair under all of that bravado and you know thrill seeking he's still a relatively good person
i had a dream like that once but i freaked out ran to the bathroom and the inside of my mouth was like a geode then i really started freaking out then woke up
I sometimes more attribute the Bully to being a large edgy kid: tough exterior, is tough, is an ass, but also is a bit of a softie to some of the members
Yeah but The thing is he can back up all of that talk
this guy's from a species that can dent tanks
with a punch
I love judge
Bully ogryn def has like fear of attachment, poor thang
Oh absolutely he could, but still is a bit of a softie in unexpected moments, like with reviving psyker for example (not sure if generic or if for a specific one)
yeah like it's good that while he's a bit of a asshole
He still has some nice bits
is the only good ending for 40k the elimination of all life
could that remove the warp in a sense, since belief is what gives chaos gods strength
Only good ending will be the great green from ghazkull
[LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER]
xD
Imo, yes
They're not living or biological
But I'm not sure if calling them robot would be accurate
Robot would technically mean they couldn't think for themselves which only applies to 90% of their species
yeah it's probably appropriate for the 90%+ of Necrons that are mindless soldiers and worker drones
but the other 10% would be... idk simulacrums? at least their bodies
since their minds aren't artificial in nature
I forget which book but I think there was a Necron lord who suspected some generic soldiers still had some pre-biofurnace memories, so maybe not a totally right label
They're similar to Tsons in the sense that both are formerly living beings turned into automatous slaves for someone to use, so automations could also be accurate to describe them
They explicitly do, the mind is just extremely suppressed
It’s why warriors can become flayed ones or destroyers
The disphorek kicks in despite the suppression of their memory engrams
Ok enough Wild Rift heresy.
Time to do some Darktide grind FOR THE EMPEROR
A selfie with a filter.
Don't think about the fact that you can't eat sleep or breath and you'll be fine (probably not)

Food and sleep are for the faithless. You know who went to sleep once?
Horus.
You think about that.
Got it, so ai
Hi dilara
...imagine a Ogryn attempting to play Among Us
Would win
If I remember correctly, it's partially due to their bodies being uh
Not up to par to handle their brain
Ye
No
Yeah sorta
Though
Dysphorek is an unintended side effect
Of bio transference
It's kinda funny if you think about it.
The average Necron Lord is basically a gaming PC
While a random Necron Warrior is basically an old Chromebook your school gave you
Have 2 cars
the magnetic cats
Have 3 cars
I mean, probably, but not in the way ai tends to be used
Lots of cats suddenly.
Not mad, just noticing
"Perfect organism. Their structural perfection only matched by their lack of brain cells. I admire it's purity."
I mean I don't really care as long as it's not used as like
"LOOK I DREW/WROTE THIS"
Like if you use it for a slightly cool pfp
Fine
Yeah. I probably could draw something similar but I just don't have the energy these days
I wonder if one day we'll know where the Tyranids are coming from and who/what is the one that controls them. I remember seeing that Tyranid swarm is bigger than our galaxy, spooky
https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/1ko36s7/warhammer_40000_speed_freeks_prepares_for_full/ @queen laurel Oh this'll be nice
So odd question, but can the imperial navy salvage shipwrecks if they've crashed onto a planet?
If its not completely vaporised it will be salvaged.
Its like shipwrecking/salvaging IRL
there was a world that had a massive orbital wreckage around it and the locals earned their living by salvaging any wreck that hit the ground
If it is not decommissioned, which is almost never in 40k, then there is tech to salvage.
yup
The building materials can be recycled, they are higher grade than the usual materials on the surface.
We can even see on in one of the map in Darktide
Now I don't remember which
If we get another consignment yard mission, I hope it takes place in one of the delirect ships that are hanging up on the ceiling of that map
a map in taking place in a scrapped ship would be awesome
also
is the hive we're fighting in considered normal-sized?
cuz some of the maps imply it's utterly colossal
like the maps where it feels outside but you look up and it's just all more city
like a backwards coruscant
Well yes, Hives are immense
thats not what i asked
Yeah also Tertium reaches like way past the atmosphere which is neat
i hope oneday fatshark will let us reenact the neroth fight in space marine 1
where we just leap off the highest point of tertium
right but hives themselves vary in size as far as i understand it
I hope we fight on the tippy top of Tertium
All of them are normal size
Yeah but again its pretty varied.
so there isnt really a "normal size" is what im getting at
Hives are just upwards reaching spire clusters more or less, it all depends really
ok well let me ask instead if the Hive in DT is EXCEPTIONALLY large or not
It's in the normal bounds
its as big as we need it to be
Yeah ^
its more or less about as much as you can get to a generic hive city
with its only "unique" features being the 2 tower format of its twin spires
Tbh I don't really think having us explore the suspended ship would be an useful plan.
Bit having us return to the Tancred Bastion would be quite good
Hive is just the name for any place with extremely big super structure. Generally speaking, it means that the the majority of the planet is covered in said structure.
So if it is a hive city, the sheer size is just so big that comparing one to another doesn't really matter.
Hive cities are just metropolitan sprawl taken to an insane extreme
not really, many worlds seemingly have distinct hives dotting their planet surfaces
most famously would be necromunda and armageddon
terras a full on ecumenopolis afaik but it seems to be more exceptional there
Really wish it had more customization
but no, its gotta push the exact designs of models
Mhmmmm that would be nice
But it wouldnt give enough gameplay depth on its own sadly
It just needs more of everything
Like lemme do some crazy mek work by mixing and mashing weapons and shit
vs just changing the color of my car
Im sure its a GW thing
Really fun concept
but once again, GW hates making money for effectively free by letting creators y'know, create.
Who cares if it slightly goes away from your exact trademarked design? Just have a little disclaimer saying that this stuff isnt representative of your products
It depends on the size of the planet, then some other consideration. Some call the stuff hive spire, some are given different hive name, depending on the distance, even though they are connected.
It is not black and white with "normal" and not "normal".
Are there systems that are known for sanctioning and hiring xenos mercenaries?
Honestly a Banjo/Kazooie Nuts and Bolts styled 40k game would go hard
Odd question, but does 40k have something like moving shield wall servitors?
Wdym by shield wall
Like a servitor with a shield mounted on it
Or a servitor with like a refractor field
For a shield mounted on a servitor yeah prolly
For a refractor shield no
The shield wall is just having the servitors go first and standing behind them
Yeah, like servitors moving metal shields while the regular guardsmen stand behind them.
They’re for a grinder
Normal guardsmen no, but I could see specific groups in regiments or inqusitorial forces doing it
Servitors are expensive as fuck
A human is way cheaper
Like Penal legions.
Yeah you’d more often see penal legions/conscripts/rounded up religious people used as human shields
Though a breaching servitor with a physical like shield would def be used
It’s just not cheap
Trying to see if there’s precedent for what I wanna do in my setting
If there isnt just make your own
or just use Calixis
Do commissars go through teaching classes for ogryn? I mean do they teach em' something anythint on how to deal with big fellas?
They teach em what they need for any situation that requires it
there isnt some ogryn course they need to take, they juse use common sense lol
Was expecting an ogryn teaching degree with emphasis on rations
no
Yeah you basically just need to know how to manipulate a person with a child mentality
lol
people glamorize the way ogryns get treated a lot in lore as cutesy when you are essentially just leading them with a carrot on a stick yeah
Can they accidentally kill their owner?
Yes.
they are still people lol
That's why an ogryn teaching course is needed, upgrades people, upgrades
yes, more than a few commissars/officers have gotten crushed when they pissed off their ogryn, ogryn are also massively claustrophobic and can panic in tight spaces
And then each commisar can go with different especializations
And then prepare for ogryn graduation

It’s really time consuming tbh

Sounds like something they should delegate smh
Nah, you lose your reputation as a commissar if you don’t
I stole this image so here you go
Cassia isn't she is lovely
She's afraid of poor people
🏴☠️
Reasonable
Poor people in warhammer eat other people
Also theyre filthy
and always prattling on about "rights"
hilarious
the only rights you have are the ones the Governor decides you do
If there was to be a sequel to rogue trader, what would anyone want in it that didn't appear in the original?
should be "HH reader" instead tbh
people who read the full HH should have a sigil branded on their forehead so we know who to avoid
My psyker is a self-hater and despises mutants.
Sound like some of us
The real question is, is it due to Imperial propaganda or actual (self) hatred?
First one leading to the second one.
oof
A psyker has two real choices when confronted with maintaining themselves in Imperial service.
Shut everyone out to a degree abd become an island — separate from both your peers and the institution you serve.
Or submerge yourself in the propaganda and the rhetoric, and become like those you serve alongside. But because you are who you are told to despise and abhor, this will lead to several potentially traumatic personality quirks; feelings of superiority and self-importance aka, "I'm not a witch I'm a Sanctioned Psyker..." all the way to feelings of self-loathing and low-self esteem.
Combine low self-esteem with fanatical belief in the system responsible for your continued existence — despite its overt hatred of your kind — and you get a wombo-combo of mental illness.
Just say that it is the big E blessing bla bla bla...
Fucking around is literally all I did in Koronus
My first blind run
So far, I've failed cassia, argentas and abelards quests, put off executing Idira to my (massive) expense, fucked around then fucked over the winterscales because... well because, and a bunch of other dumb shit
Pls send help chat.
I accidentally deprived myself of sleep.
Now I must go for roughly 11.5 hours before I can allow myself to sleep again...
(Thankfully its a Saturday...)
redbull time
Simply nap and then wake up
Yeah
What is it
it's an entire event dedicated to forest heresy showing releases and lore and stuff

craftworlders are kind of amoguspilled
So what are we angry about today?
Dunno yet, lets see what inane questions on r/40klore can be answered by a 3 second google search
How much do the tau know about races like the Aeldari and necrons?
they tried invading a necron world
Yeah but do we have any accounts of it on like lexicanum or anything?
I want to see their reactions to just how abysmally outmatched they were
And for eldar I’d imagine all their tech is practically arcane to them
Craftworld Eldar are even more mysterious to the Tau then humanity, but they at least talk more often even if its the Eldar usually being the Eldar, most Eldar tech is literally incomprehensible or unusable
Necrons they know some about, their tech is of interest to several Tau Septs and the Tau want it
Its why Vior'la launched such a huge counter offensive against the necrons
they wanted gauss weaponry
Where is that found?
it was in one of the crusade rulebooks in 9e or 8e
I forgor
or psychic awakening
its in something supplemental
its rulebook lore
Also what instances of this have there been
do eldar mostly tolerate tau or is it a case of it depends on the craft world
If I was an eldar I’d smite those uppity mfs
Like I have existed 10x the length of your entire species
Relevant artwork to the Vior'la incident
yeah but everyone is on Beil-tan's genocide list
Don’t preach to me about your “Greater Good”
Rulebook lore mostly
codex stuff
I assume eldar see tau as this hilariously naive race
Killteam lore(ig) lol
yes
the Eldar see the Tau as absurdly naive, unprepared
but they see them as the next big thing as well
Ah cool, so I’ll never read it
the eldar know that humanity
are going to implode
and then the Tau will be the next big race
well to be fair they are a pretty progressive society and diplomatic society even if they do just put you down at the lowest part of their civilization
Also if anyone is going to be the next big thing it’s gonna be orks
yeah if they become the next big thing chaos is gonna focus on them more
they're never gonna be one
They are too brutal and always kill each other when they are too bored
Wym they already are
They’re practically fucking everywhere
And nothing can keep them down
They are thriving
Orks to the eldar have already fallen
as a society lol
though they're having a great time
according to some eldar philosphers
Sure not by “civilized” races’ standards, but they have been practically unstoppable as a whole
tldr the Craftworlds see the Orks almost similar to how they see the Drukhari
absolutely horrendous but successful?
I love how even orks hate drukhari
their society has collapsed but who gives a shit, it wasn't a big deal in the first place for them
Like “by zog I love a good fight and sure it’s proper funny when some git has ‘is head chopped off, but these gits take it too far!”
Yeah but they’re still very much a problem
They’re probably not ever going away
Except if nids consume all life or something
I love how GW has gone absolutely fucking nowhere with the whole “Ghaz is gonna unify the orks, and that’s horrifying” arc
Like that’s interesting and gives them relevance on a galactic scale
But it’s never going anywhere
Speaking of, when’s that grotsnik book coming out
Orks already have relevance on a galactic scale with major WAAAAAAAGHS
centering an entire faction around one character is bad
and its good GW hasn't done that
Over centralization of any faction around one character is bad and I hate it
They don’t necessarily have to do that
Ghaz unifying all the Orks is centralizing everything around Ghaz
Like include all his war bosses and all the minor groups within orks
Ghaz is trying to do that still
Well “centralize” as best they can
that is still centralizing around Ghaz
is my point
Ghaz becomes the defacto most important Ork
always
forever
in lore
yeah thing is with how stupid and belligerent some orks are
True
His plan is gonna almost always fall on the dirt
And it’s a crying shame
badrukk
snikrot
Snikrot and badrukk have minis
wortsnagga
There’s the mekboss but he got killed off
tyranids
the swarmlord fucking chopped his head off and ate him
Apparently on their first match he overpowered the swarm lord
Yeah he did
There’s Ufthak
But he’s kinda Mary sue ish
he has a mini
who isnt?
here was the Arch-Maniac of Calverna
Just as a replacement
though he's under ghazkulls banner now
He’s not like actually usable in play
Unless they gave him actually rules again
also what did you expect this is like a basic quality of warhammer characters
he literally has rules
Legends or normal rules
Legends are normal rules
i see
Oh last I checked he was just a option to replace the new big mek model for flair
good shit
nah
he got rules
whats the speed freekz
warboss
He's been in lore since like 3e
I mean like he had not one character flaw or anything
and has been like fucking everywhere
Gutsmek?
did he punch a hole through a titan
Like Ghaz has some amount of character flaws and struggles
It’s possible to do with ork characters
Wazdakka Gutsmek
Apparently though some non-tourney players still give you funny looks if you even dare to use Legends in your list…
And they should be skinned alive

If you’re not playing comp practice then legends is valid
Some players have a stick up their ass
My personal favorite is Grizgutz, going back in time solely to get a second copy of his favorite gun in exchange for ruining his WAAAAGH! Is classic ork
I get beat on every time I try to play a legends unit, every time

Never been an issue at me for events or at LGSs lol
But it always sucks when people are weird like that
Like of all the fucking hills to die on
Yeah like
it the only reason it's legends rules is because the mini is no longer distributed
but the rules are still valid rules
sadly people can be very strange when it comes to such things
This is what talking about warhammer lore feels like lmao
r/grimdank
imagine if grimdank had stayed a battletech subreddit
I say 1 less evil but that would mean battle tech would have grimdank
I had not been aware that they'd started as one
Oh right
Custodes: “oh this one’s not for eating. It’s for uh…”
Sister of Silence thought marking: you rub it on your skin and makes you live forever
Can someone help me complete the Malleus Monstronum quest?
Not the right chat for this, and yeah that's the best chat
I saw a video talking about daemons that mentioned how despite 40k having better weaponry, AoS and WHF fellows kill them just as well with just swords and stuff, said his belief is since it's a more personal way of killing them that it's more effective
If that's true I almost want a guard regiment that mostly trains martially and specializes in daemons
"Ancient" weapons and Iron ones do work better than Guns, even in 40k.
Though being in melee is dangerous.
But it's mostly that the BF/AoS are made differently
Killing a demon with multiple barrages of weaponry is good but watching
Joe the average guy carry a great sword and duel a Bloodthirster is peak
Deamons and various threats in 40k has a higher % of ranged weapon usage. Especially most of the troops actually do is to fight other rebellions and traitors troops.
Melee being dangerous is less of a problem when your tactics can come down to doing what some bees do to hive-invading wasps
You don't charge into a volley of ranged weapon apply to everyone.
Also true
Which is why it wouldn't be only melee
Just where applicable
It also reminded me of a time where there was seemingly something pointing towards that being canon, where someone hand-carved prayers or runes or both onto their bullets, and it hurt a daemonhost a good bit
You can say that's just because of the holy part though so
But it was definitely more personal
"Please Emperor... help me fight this battle that shall mark the fate of humanity."
"nah"
"Oi Empera, help me and the ladz out on taking out this cult!"
"I shall bless thee. Smite heretics with blinding faith!"
It is the faith system of Warhammer, nothing more really.
If you believe that your weapon is strong, it does get stronger.
Is that why the Ogryn rock can take out another Ogryn with full Carapace armor

Like many relic weapons were once normal weapons, but by time and feat they achieved with their many users, more people believe in its power, and it gets stronger.
the canon zealot is kinda cute
i think emperor has enough blessings to bless both tho
Well Psybolts, Purgatus Crossbows and some other work like that
I don't know what either of those are but they sound cool
To be honest I genuinely find that concept cool
Like how weapons became legendary is due to the feats the owner gave
and therefore the owner imprinted his own attitude into it.
doesnt that only work for orks
Making it truly something else
Maybe partly due to psychic residue
Nah. It's just that the Orks have their own system.
It works for everyone, but Orks makes trash work...
isnt the faith just superstition?
Orks just do it stronger IIRC, but it's nowhere near as strong as a lot of shitposters act like it is
Like, if a weapon of the imperium known to jam, it will never get the faith to become stronger.
How do I say this.
Humanity works on a public server, where Daemons and stuff are also in.
While Orks work on a private server owned by Gork and Mork
Orks believe that anything can work.
No.
Basically the Immaterium/Warp is a warped (ba du mtss) reflection of real life.
That includes belief.
Not in Warhammer.
You have to truly, 100% believe in something to manifest it into reality
damn
Due to the warp changing it.
i thought it was just mindless bullshit
relaity lube™️ for orks
well i guess argenta isnt so st upid either
Therefore it causes tangible results.
and yeah human faith does have
tangible effects
Eldar faith also did back during the war in heaven
considering they made their gods manifest on the battlefield
and then the eldar empire mostly stopped worshipping the eldar gods and we all know where that went
Psybolts are Bolter rounds inscribed with runes, which can be filled with Warp power to further damage Deamons.
Purgatus Crossbow use runes only iirc
But you have to truly believe in it.
Like 100% you have to believe, with all of your heart
"Yes, I will be able to do this."
And then it'll have some minor effect.
The more people believe in something, the greater the effects are.
Funny enough, technology can take out the warp, especially during the DAOT, not only because of advanced tech, but also the believe of technology can overcome anything.
That's why the Orks WAAGH stuff works
If a lot of Orks believe in something, it has an effect. But reality still constrains it.
most guardsmen and preachers and zealots and marines and sororitas do
For example, an Ork can believe that their piece of shit, cobbled together, BARELY working gun is actually a proper shoota.
Waaagh and Weird boy stuff don't depend on the same method.
Weird boys still fall under the Peril of the Warp
It is when humanity started to have issue with techs and the believes dwelled down that stuff got to shit.
However, that shoota still needs ammo, they cannot manifest ammo out of their minds.
generally speaking faith is a crapshoot lol
They still need to reload.
Like a printer.
Sometimes it doesn't work when you really want it to.
But rarely
god such a funny ass video
"Holy shit I can finally turn this shit in!"
I think what gets me is like
the amount of realism bayonet charging a massive robot
lol
Tbh
Automatons being able to wallop you is the best thing in the game
people irl have done more idiotic things
correct
Average Guardsman experience
Was having fun, then other people joined
you can change your lobby to private if you want
or is it a case of people are stupid
The ragdoll was so fun on Helldivers
Called in an Orbital barrage to clear a Heavy encampment, one of them ran into it and died, then the other got on VC and called me a "fucking idiot" then teamkilled me and stood saluting until the timer ran out
It feels weird now, I think they tweaked it
Definitely removed being able to fly with smoke plants
they made it so you couldn't get perm ragdolled by rockets and stuff but the funny ones still happen consistently enough
People like that make me want to lead a rebellion against the Super Earth.
lol
ngl
being perma ragdolled was funny
depends
it wasn't very fun to expierence but it was funny to watch
getting juggled was kind of funny
Like how is it my fault someone ran into the barrage that I'd already called in
its not
One time me and my friends landed on top of a restricted zone mountain, me and one of them made it down safely and in time but the other one was marked a traitor
if you're host you can just kick them though
Yea didn't realise that
I had to do my duty and put him down myself 🫡
Yeaa I should have
helps me avoid those types of people
sucks that they exist
but thats every multiplayer game in existence
ALWAYS host your own game
anyways I want more Squid enemies
especially on dickdivers
I used to play mil sim and semi mil sim, but now I can't play such games anymore because of people like that.
America?
oh whoops

you mean poors?
the Wokeless.....
rentoids

for super woke
give me Illusionists from 1
Make them like
spam shield walls
I can't find the rentoid rebllion meme
No wonder they care about forklifts...
I also want the Hunter bac
them and council members were in the files iirc but that was so long ago
Ive been also returning to HD2, and maybe Im a baby man bitch, but I kinda dont like the update for Illuminate?
what about it?
I think its fine gameplay wise
I feel the annoyance of the flyers, mixed with the increased density, and the occasional knock down spam from certain enemies just makes them grueling to go against
the interlopers are honestly pretty fine
the new enemies make the illuminate actually scarier
they're AP2 so you can kill em with a primary
HD2 is one of the game I hate to play high difficulty. Sweet gaming throw the fun of the game out for me.
they are mid
I think its fine
Flyers being both elevated overseers and interlopers, though the latter is mostly okay as long as you can actually see where its route is
Darktide however, I like harder modes.
I just hate overseers man
ngl I enjoy high difficulties because they aren't that hard
difficulty 10 is like
fine
i reinstalled when illuminates came out too, a barebones city in the middle of a desert with enemies that are NOT fun to fight against, it wasnt fun
the real torment nexus™️ difficulties are not in the game yet
for the people who truly enjoy pain
helldivers 1 had like what
Fleshmobs however feel kinda fun to fight
17 difficulties?
watching the DSS get destroyed when the game explicitly told us if we sent it to that planet it would get destroyed

smartest helldivers players
Many such cases
15 yeah
I mean any collective gets stupid
there's a very good reason why people hate pubs for darktide in here
hell
holy shit
"Hard
Very Hard
Hard as Hell"
Honestly pubs in Darktide isn't nearly as bad as pubs in many other games
i met extremely compotent randoms
People are relatively sentient playing Darktide and rarely throw fits
Darktide pubs are fine
I think the illuminate enemies are fine
the new ones rather
I havent had many people that got mad for dumb shit
hell, i was afk doing something, turns out some guy waited for me to come back online cuz if he jumped down, and i fell off a ledge, i would have been gone
Darktide and R6 are some of the worst when it comes to people being straight up amoebas
i barely had anyone talk at all
