If I remember rightly the Revenge of the Sith novelisation goes into the duel more, it basically talks about how one of Dooku's favourite strategies was forcing his opponents into fighting in the opposite style they're comfortable with, but Anakin and Obi Wan are aware of this and basically start the fight using the opposite styles, so when he forces them to switch they go to their favoured stances and begin to overpower him.

There are other stuff like removing the slight of a handgun then put the lower in a carbine/rifle slide.
If you use powerful ammo like the 10mm auto, you are getting some noticeable firepower increase.
