Increased infection
next question
@storm jungle did you give Heinrix a ptsd attack while romancing him
Genuine question
Nurgle Maxxing
do eldar have sharp teeth
No
i thought they had big canines
Like human teeth
Nah. Regular
Deldar don’t have that either
Yeah
Probably just a thing the artist added to make them look cool
anyways im done for the night
if only you can be done forever with these types of questions but alas sometimes good things are never meant to be
Furry artists generally add sharper teeth to even their non-furry art.
you can spot a furry artist by how they draw human feet
tis in the blood
the leg structure is all wrong
As a side note, does anybody hate when eyes somehow go through hair in art?
that's anime
Yeah
you hate anime
No
Anyways, yeah idk why but I just don't like that particular quirk ig
I mean I think it's fine if it's like
A bit of the eye?
Idk what's the threshold though
i'm gonna crack your skull
Lol
Forgot to wear my gold armor
And flaming sword
Fuck
do you think nurgle or slaanesh smells worse
Slaanesh smells nice
nurgle
According to the silver knight story
And other stuff
Slannesh smells nice because she needs to
nurgle
Tbh I imagine Slaanesh to smell like
Fake ass perfume
Like
i've seen slaanesh demons smelling like straight up musk so i guess it depends on what you're into
depends on what you count as "bad"
Slaanesh takes whatever form the person who sees them find most appealing
Probably that.
Idk I can imagine Slaaneshi stuff going into weird extreme territory
Like explicitly
That would extend to smell imo
Slaanesh smells however you want them to
so do nurgle demons love the smell of farts
Or rather what you find most appealing
Like I think in the books, a Daemon made a portrait of Fulgrim using piss, shit, and as quoted "other bodily fluids"
Yes they love decay
And rot
Lol
awesome
slaanesh smells like gasoline
Lol
In any case slaanesh basically looks like your ideal person lol
americans gas chambering themselves in their new cars
i heard in china they hate the smell
so dealers get rid of it
it's literally the smell of industrial solvents and glue vapors
it's like sniffing glue
Anyways Slaanesh is a funny chaos god
Their form along with tzeentch
Changes the most lol
...yes...
Nurgle pretty much always is
im weirdly addicted to chlorine smell
Tzeentch probably just uses a randomizer wheel 80% of the time
A huge GUO
idk why i love the smell of chlorinated pools
And khorne is usually a terrifying dude on a throne
He yearns for the trenches
would it be extreme to suggest its the microplastics talking..?
I always wonder why Khorne is always on a throne though
chlorine is not a plastic
the throne is on the ground
is there truly a ground in the warp
He is Genghis, not the millions of soldiers actually doing the dirty work type of thing
Excuse it’s a skull throne
Technically?
mmmmmmmyes.
Yes and no
A Thousand Sons literally just says its a giant ocean
Make your own ground if you don’t melt first
me not believe this
i dont think chaos gods really have a form
We know they do sort of
not physically
Explicitly
also abritor ian is WRONG
Even if it’s odd
they are totally fucking gods
Probably the best description considering Warp Travel is kinda similar to like
1200s-1600s
Sea travel
its simply the simplest way to describe it
Before he smashes the funny beacon with his sword
I can imagine Khorne's weapon being shapeshift though
Like
It can turn into any weapon in history
Including a gigantic gun cause why not
Prolly
he can do that but why bother when a good old axe that can slice through a planet is good enough
Yeah but hey
Sometimes you need a change of pace
I have thought about Khorne looking kinda eldar?
But that would be more appropriate for Slaanesh
Considering well
The race technically made her
I mean Khorne did beat Khaine so I can imagine him absorbing enough of his essence to gain an Eldar feature
Then again, he doesn't really have a solid feature other than
Guy on throne in armor and weapon
Idk
Tatsuki Fujimoto is the mangaka of Chainsaw Man

It’s why Ynead looks like a slaaneshi daemon in some ways
Slaanesh and the concept of death are heavily intertwined now
For the eldar
I can imagine Slaanesh taking on a lot of Eldar adjacent forms. Since she is technically their god of death
...
Even though they really don't want her as their god of death for a good fucking reason

As for Tzeentch.
I can imagine them just
Changing colors and forms randomly. If you don't have your mind collapse or whatever. Every time you look away, and then look back, they've changed into something new
Or just randomly keeping the same form, except they're colored a slightly different shade of blue this time
I think a direct manifestation of Tzeentch would have details change even while in your periphery if you weren't directly focused on them
Having their form embody quantum uncertainty is a really neat idea
Yeah I think if there's a Hades style game
Tzeentch's sprite should just like
change colors every dialogue box
Form if they allow it but hey

I think a more interesting way to do it would be like 5 complete sprites for every pose
and then cut them all up and stitch them together randomly
Oh yeah true
Would be really high effort because they would require like 5 times the work + coherent rigging
"You're so boring Khorne. Did anybody tell you that?"
"..."
"I mean I ain't telling you to change too much. That's my shtick. But at least change into something more comfortable at lea-"
otherworldly cackling in the background
"SHUT UP SLAANESH THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU- anyways what was I talking about?"
"I hate you all."
i love this map
i also quite like the implication that someone can come here via magic in Fantasy, walk into the Eye of Terror and just get spat out in the middle of deep space
i bet you there's been at least one imperial navy ship that encountered a frozen Empire Spearman just drifting
Thats an old thing.
Theres not really any crossover at all between warhammer universes anymore thankfully.
the map itself pretty new relatively, at least
Is there anything old world had over 40k?
Like, in regards to what
2014 is hardly some Lost and the Damned era property
though i guess old and new is all relative
Abilities or manufacturing?
Its a middle-ages setting being compared to a sci-fi setting. Take a guess.

Middle age setting with magic and steam tanks.
I mean yes
its still middle ages
the stuff you also mentioned isnt daily things
lol
here's what its got: cooler characters
Then AOS came along.
For the better.
i was going to make that joke goddamn you
but i resisted the urge
I think generally
Bretonnia is middle aged
Sigmar's empire is more like the Renaissance.
Its middle-ages in general terms
the Empire still lives in villages, hamlets, cities and stone/wood structures among other stuff
ultimately i dont really think whfb and aos are even that comparable, they're two dramatically different genres of fantasy
but aos is definitely more fun as a game
Yeah true. But you could say the same for like
The 1700s but I don't think that's considered middle age
thats hardly clearing any high bars, of course
Whf died because it was dogshit to play, so that checks out
whfb at the end was actually hot dogtwater
people genuinely don't get the difference between low fantasy and high fantasy
aside from just random jank rules that completely ruin entire factions, its main offense was it was just very boring
So why do people want the skaven in 40k?
But it’s not whfb gameplay wise
Because they’re cool
Skaven are cool. Thats it.
Btt then again I am much less familiar with Fantasy in general than 40k
Except the skaven already got chopped up
And split between several factions
Mostly the imperium and orks
No I’m not joking
yeah you want skaven go imperium and orks
Would be surprised if they did
Guard are basically just skaven slave spam
GW's true masters, Wizards of the Coast, demanded they leave low fantasy behind for ever to create new marketable D&D and MtG settings
With skryre weapon teams
(real lore)
Don't Skaven literally have like
DnD is like
yeah exactly
Dimmer souls
At least not the stuff WOTC pushes
the highest form of high fantasy
Forgotten Realms is high fantasy
Dark Sun is as low fantasy as it gets these days
Like DnD is basically what I think of when somebody says like
"Medieval Fantasy"
Witcher is the only one that comes to my mind
since like
what even is low
its literally medieval europe
and high
but with monsters
ah
How much magic
People don't like dying of dysentery.
And weird shit
Literally just medieval times
Yeah
High Fantasy is a lot more fantastic tropes everywhere
People like dying against Eldritch Horrors instead
Also the games are def high fantasy

well ok if we're talking about settings as properties
Compared to the books lol
low fantasy is still very well alive
im trying to think of low fantasy
What the hell is happening chat is shooting so fast?
Its called people talking.
in fact id even say Warhammer Fantasy as an IP is at least as popular as any given DnD setting
@storm jungle Warhammer fantasy versus age of sigmar
Nah
DnD is way more supreme
Not DnD the game
western vs anime
Also yeah like
i'm talking about the settings
WHF is middle-tier fantasy id say
Yeah
WIZARD BATTLE TIME
yeah i think the most low fantasy is the humans but like
tanks
GELT VERSUS
Would Kingdom Come count as low fantasy?
I mean probably not considering it's based on actual history
they have ******* tanks
i love how high fantasy swords always need to go extra
I forgot his name
Lore of metal!
Elspeth?
The fire dude
no thats historical fiction
Its also entirely about presentation and its artstyle, if warhammer artists say worked on World of Warcraft it'd probably look as "grounded" and brutal like WHF.
He beat
Yeah I assumed
a setting artstyle does a lot
also its hard to say to what extent Warhammer Fantasy the game actually represents the setting, but i believe in most cases we're seeing definite outlier circumstances
Adrian Smith, Kopinksy, Blanche etc
realist mfers are really obnoxious and elitist. they act like everything should be historically accurate because that's just objectively superior to them
like how you might think the entire Imperium was filled with space marines from playing the video games
Well the thing is such things exist and aren’t super duper rare to the point of not existing
Imo
The college of magic is a thing
Same with like Beastmen magically teleporting
"MUH DITCHES"
right but you're not gonna see one across the street from Joe's General Goods
Yeah
But the fact it’s a thing makes it high fantasy imo
but yes lol
they're also very clearly sexist a lot of the time and try to explain it with historical accuracy
they might be the last warhammer orcs I like but warhammer fantasy orcs still have a place on my heart
FATAL

low and high are ever a gradient of the presence of magic essentially, in my opinion Warhammer is on the lower end; the College is this one singular body that isn't particularly pervasive
compared with like
DnD
where everyone and their grandma has an order of wizards
Warhammer is middle tier
or Forgotten Realms in this case
it has too many high-fantasy elements to be low-tier
warhammer is mid
-dilara
Yeah definitely middle tier
Almost no magic
That is pretty cool art.
Weird fantastical creatures are fine
Where Geralt gets fucking shanked by a pitchfork and lynched
Weird creatures

no ******* magic in that one too almost
dont those get pretty out there though, with the lodges of magicians and elf queens
It’s absurdly rare
So I’d say no personally
But you could argue it’s existence means it’s not low fantasy
yeah like can Geralt even unlock magic?
In the games?
Not really
90% of the setting is just...
well europe lol
Most fantasy creatures are not that common
Damn I didn't know Europe have weird tree men that eat people
or are just outcasted or simply got a more realistic style
And approx a good 50% of them are complaining about Black people being WW1 soldiers.
They exist dumbass. Actually do some fucking research and shit the fuck up.
He uses a thing a mage gives him
To use magic
So technically?
it's mostly just who cares
Would Dark Souls count as High Fantasy or mid fantasy
High.
High
its too fantastical
i would say that as no because i would classify them as a magical tool
its not a hard distinction to make
I’m not sure about the games
I forgor
Lol
Also yeah dark souls is absolutely high fantasy
With how many fucking college of mages there have been
you literally call down lightning from the sky and fight someone that rides a dragon
True.
Thought it would be middle for a second cause a good half of the armor is actually form fitting.
But then I remember Hollows casually existing and I was like
"Yeah nah High"
what do you think
Armor doesn’t matter
Aesthetics don’t even matter that much imo
You can have absurd looking armor in low fantasy
Even if it’s fucking stupid
That’s my take at least
Low: Basically just IRL medieval times with minor fantasy elements.
Mid: Good range of both ala Game of Thrones or Warhammer Fantasy.
High: Magic, wizards, and other wild fantastical stuff everywhere ala Age of Sigmar, Dungeons & Dragons, etc
my brother in christ one of the people you meet literally carries armor so heavy and tough it can resist Dragons
Yeah it's why I said half
The other half is fantastical armor
And I was like
"Does it count as middle fantasy because of that...? Nah."
yeah but like even then have you seen the shit you fight?
Monster hunter is low fantasy because magic isn’t a thing/j
Just off of that alone that's already high fantasy
Scale of how easy it is to become a wizard:
LoTR is sort of the definitive low fantasy, to the point that its questionable if magic even exists at all outside of the maiar+
Honestly low/mid/high fantasy as terms
Low fantasy is impossible
Middle is bloodline/ancient knowledge exclusive
High is a trade school
LOTR is a High Fantasy setting that evolves to Low Fantasy so thats correct yeah.
they're vibecheckers
do you have a better classification than i'm all yours
Fair enough
No
even in the first and second ages there is no unmistakeable manifestation of magic outside the maiar+
Also how the "story" timeline ends with real life
which is so weird to me and Ive always ignored it lol
which is an important distinction for the especially pedantic as those manifestations technically are miracles
Yeah true
Although I find it funny in terms of progression. Because like
Dark Souls 1 was fairly grounded in terms of size. Like most weapons actually have ""realistic"" sizes. With exceptions like Smough's hammer requiring a fuck ton of strength.
Then Dark Souls 2 decided to make everything bigger and then it progressed from there.
Just a disclaimer, I don't hate this or anything. Just a interesting and funny observation.
its necessary for the meta-plot that all of the writings are in-universe translations from archaeological discoveries
Yeah but its still a bit too dumb for me.
Just leave the setting as is.
its like saying WHF ends up turning into the real world
Actually nevermind

"Mmm yes
Elves."
eye of the beholder, but it does come from an era where "true fantasy" in the sense that its totally disconnected from reality
was virtually unheard of
see narnia and all the other "otherworld" style fantasies
Overall just uh
I like magic knights
Slave trade moment
"the world pond"

literally fuck off
cathay is also LITERALLY the archaic medieval term for china
Destroyed to shit via earthquakes and then probably burnt to the ground because we decided to buy a lot of trees from Australia that one time
where tf is india
A lot of the nation terms are yeah
...is that why the elves have almond eyes in art
original
its covered by the map chart

hold on
Nippon
im glad that the balklands are the badlands
and eastern russia is just wastes
HANDCRAFTED NIPPON STEEL
Blade falls off the hilt
low fantasy is if they're magic knights because their armor was enchanted
high fantasy is if they're magic knights because they cast Level 5 Fireball
perish
Why not both

Generally I think most likely High Fantasy better
Although low fantasy definitely has a crowd
Like Milsims
I still have no idea why people find Arma 3 fun
i dont know, people loved GoT so much they started acting like everything else was childish
Like ATP just join the fucking military at that rate
"Not your grandma's fantasy. 😎 "
you dont get medical issues in arma
arma is so boring its insane
Doesn't that literally have dragons??
that being said
How GW felt writing WHFB Nippon lore
SQUAD
is awesome
original ogres are like mongolian caricatures
i didnt say it was low fantasy, just it was apparently the most low fantasy anyone had ever seen before in their lives
I tried it for a bit and I do want to buy it to try it out for longer.
How many people actually play
Yes
also racist
💀
i play the star wars mod, which can get up to full 2 lobbies
but the modern one is like
10 full lobbies at any given time
"modern one"
vanilla.
i mean vanilla squad
...I almost said fucking normies but realized that part of my soul would die if I said that without any irony

How do you think the sculptor who did the pygmies feels
You know
The original whfb ones

we don't talk about them
Probably for the best
also i like how instead of just updating Araby and making it less of a caricature
they just go "oh yeah the Bretonnians exterminated them all teehee"
Well now you got me curious
like thats not utterly horrible
Give me a sec
...
Okay wow
Didn't expect that
Much
Uh
How did this get past censors
the 80s censors??
Considering they got discontinued only a year later

They might also have sold like shit
And that’s why they got discontinued
Yup.

Like my god that is something I would see in like
A drawing from the 1940s
@arctic talon your fusion pistol build for harlequins wont work since at max you can get 2 fusion pistols
I'm trying to decide if I'd want to start with melee or ranged in that build
cause I could start with ranged with the death jester
is that skarbrand with a gun
wheres the gun
Yup
Though tbf he is holding them
Weirdly
Like he's holding them like he's a 3 year old with a toy axe tbh

hes holding it like a gun lmao
Yeah generally holding near the blade is unadvisable
Both for health
And also for actually being effective
maybe his axe shoots those needles on the edge or something
Either that or Skarbrand has no idea how to hold an axe
But nobody corrected him due to how good he is despite of his
Weird handling
Khorne shivers at the thought of him understanding the idea of
leverage
Miku becomes victims of the night lords
Doctor who reference
Oh I remember that.
Thankfully I was in mu adult years when thay became a thing.
Morning chat
same
the way it died was so much worse
Nah, it just shows this server demographic is not versed enough in Doctor Who (at least Tennant's run that is)
no i mean the actual death of the last human
Oh right
Humanity had gone out a couple of different ways in New Who, none of which are pleasant.
The Doctor is probably the only one that can (tying this to 40k) give the Drukhari actual nightmares second to (or even above) Slaanesh
If The Doctor is sufficiently pissed enough
Even outside of Ten's run some of that ruthlessness remains
"demons run when a good man goes to war"
Indeed they do
I would even go as far as to say The Doctor could actually be smart, cunning and ruthless enough to collapse The Imperium in any sort of hypothetical situation where there is cause to do so.
I don't know about the last 2 seasons, but the 9 to 13 are vulnerable, but also the most batshit crazy.
Despite being a mortal (until retcon later) the Doctor is literally the myth and legend across time and space.
that one family of aliens that chased the Doctor looking for immortality got what they wanted in the worst way possible, each of them immortal but trapped in an endless hell
Oh, one is in the mirror world.
Old Who focuses on The Doctor being a bit of a classic British Gentlemen albeit in an unorthodox manner.
New Who focuses on The Doctor being a survivor who is...as ruthless as he is hurt, adventurous and helpful.
And the other becomes a scarecrow forever standing in 1 place.
Mummified, but can't die.
yup
...I still find it sad the peak period ended after Capaldi's run.
Jodie acts well and I don't whine about supposed messaging but even then - the writing was all over the place.
yeah my grandma watched the old Who and was surprised to see how different new Who is
Lets be real, the Doctor is so strong because he is immune to knife attack, so the uk can't do shit against him.
Automatically gets the legendary immortal status.
Ncuti...Again, writing issues and writers being far too blunt with things.
I like how they connect the storyline of 1-8 and 9-12*.
They have done good work with the story continuity...up until that one debacle in Jodie's run.
Look, the Timeless Child could have been a random other child and the entire plot would have worked (or be better even)
But saying The Doctor IS the Timeless Child? Yea...I find that iffy.
A being near God hood but driven by traumatic experience by trying to live and blend in with normal beings.
Correction 12th*
Jodie's run was...betrayed by the script. Which is sad because I liked the idea of Jodie being The Doctor for once.
But as said, bad writing. Then they tanked their own hard, well earned continuity work with Timeless Child.
yeah it was the 11th
12* has the episode where he is stuck in a loop millions of times, has to break a diamond wall with his own hand.
Capaldi's run was kind of being carried by him already, I felt.
Oh I remember that, it felt inspired by escape room games
It was like that but on max hard mode.
Then it turned out, it is set up by himself as a way to keep himself in check.
"How long is eternity?"
Days of the doctor was an interesting bridge to connect the old and new doctors.
However, the fact that he is only 200 something years old since the War Doctor makes me feel eh... It is too little.
"The skies are made of diamonds."
Fragging Toclafane...
The end of the universe
The episode serves as the origin story of the master, so good.
However... The 1st thing he did after regaining his power was to become a politician, the worst kind of monster.
I wonder if the darktide items in rogue trader are any good
Wives of the emperor is an old term for SoB or does that predate them?
I think they were originally daughters of the emperor, then when Vandire took them they became Brides of the Emperor
May be mixing those two up though
99.9% of them have more important things to do, like killing things
Yeah that is correct.
the new codexes (8th and 9th) also removed the more gross mentions of them serving Vandire's "needs" as well which is funny lol
so is darktide the first time assails existed in lore i mean of course anyone at one point shouldve been able to do it but is this just the first time its been represented or shown to be a thing
They existed in the Dark Heresy RPG, it isnt a new thing.
Also psyker powers in 40k are literally "whatever the writers want at the time" so yeah.
Spiteshards
would a more powefull psyker be able to cast the same but able to pierce carapace or ceramite i presume
Okay
In theory yes
So
Psyker powers in 40k are literally "whatever the writers want at the time" so yeah.
2x

Lemme get this straight
has it been written yet
Spiteshard/Assail not that I remember of.
Kinetic Knives I think it has
psykers can be straight up like this if the Writers wanted to
⬅️
I forgor what I was gonna get straight 💀
40K is not top-tier science fiction, but it is reflective of our times. Whether in its depiction of endless war, dysfunctional government, or its “satire” that is less absurd than our actual politics; Warhammer 40000 has a chance to become the peak-2020s sci-fi for future generations looking back.
🔹 Patreon | patreon.com/FeralHistoria...
Interesting thing I came across
Assail is just picking up random object and throw it with psychic power.
Its always suppose to be satirical too, I dont really understand how people argue it isnt at any point.
Say, Stone bullet from some RPG game is the same stuff.
TBF this doesn’t make a refutation against 40k intended to be satire, but rather juxtapositions how views of 40k (and even the central 40k message) changes in response to real world events.
Which is why I found it a good watch
Yeah I know im talking in general
and you still got morons like this lol
True XD
isn't satire that
so what does fighting things have to do with it
like even without things to fight it's still a rotting empire
People don't even understand the word satire, let alone the satire itself.
Or they have a poor opinion of satire if they feel something has to be defended from having the label applied to it
Helldivers has been the greatest example of that honestly
you can be as in your face as possible with the satire and people will just deny and not get it lol
Many takes over the top aspect as "satire", even though many of it are not and it is more of a dick measuring contest.
bro they released the gas chamber warbond and people still thinking it's not satire
Also with Punisher 💀
they released a gas weapon expansion
Because they want to part of the more OP enthusiastic, as a sign of "strong"... Ex: Surface level Marines slaves.
They will lick Marines the cog piece all day to say they are better.
U.S Marines tattooing that shit on their arms and on hummers while they gun down middle eastern people definitely is a vibe lol
Funny thing is punisher would probably kill them because they are using his symbol and doing the wrong thing
I'm glade that military here are against Punisher. We find those people to be hypocritical.
The Imperium having legitimate enemies excuses fascism 🤓
The current actor of Punisher once posted a photo of him in front of a Punisher skull with a blue line 💀
There were some "thin line" knife series from Spyderco, a very reputed knife manufactory, the "thin blue line" in Canada are still in stock since 2015...
The idea that Punisher can be judge, jury, executioner against criminals in the US (who can be ruthless) most certainly contributed to the misuse of the symbol
The red and yellow are sold out years ago.
Especially when people imagine criminality is on the rise. Or maybe it is, who knows.
I don’t live in US :p
Also because of the long time pop culture with Hollywood, that it is now ingrain into the US society.
So many crazies even look forward for "crime" so they can be hero, which killed so many innocent people.
If they are asked to do actual heroic job like fireman or EMT, they can't, it is just too difficult for them. Getting a gun and pull the trigger is so much simpler.
Considering the sheer number of police related incidents in the US, my only conclusion is that the US police are actually afraid of death/to die.
Which is why they so often shoot first.
I would just say that as a general rule of thumb, when you sign up to be a policeman, you really, really ought to have death in line of duty as a possible outcome already.
You don’t get to always shoot first and win to be a hero.
But that is what a lot of US officers seem to be stuck on.
(As for myself - if I were to drop dead right now, I can only hope it is instant.)
If they are, then they are not fit to be a public servant.
What with uphold the law and protect the population when you are too scared for your own good?
Most officers who shoot first are probably not fit.
But again, it is a concept most people don’t get…or they think they do, but ultimately when pushed in extreme circumstances, they fall apart and end up shooting first even if (out of action) they logically know they should not shoot first.
I will stay my hand a wee bit, and confess stress does funny things to people’s decision making.
The action without consequence is a bigger issue than the "fear for my life" excuse.
Because they can do stupid shit, and just use an otherwise valid excuse for their unhinge behaviour.
The consequences, or lack thereof, is technically a different conversation in the sense of how harsh accountability should be, which in itself is an even messier and more distorted can of worms
It shouldn't be a different conversation when it has a direct correlation.
Due to how most US people will do a 180 degree and sympathise with the police a bit more when the victim has dubious backgrounds and whatnot.
(…and I am not even going to touch the whole racial distortion issue just due to how insanely bad it is)
Im pretty sure that was a set photo for Born Again wasnt it?
Bernthal never struck me as that type, hes also openly supportive of queer people too, also literally kills crooked cops in the new show
It is distorted by intolerance towards criminals in general, racial issues, a society’s natural preference for some form of order even if some mistakes happen…
There are armed police in Europe, but you rarely hear of shooting incident.
Well ok maybe not different, but most certainly difficult.
Because if the police does, they face big responsibility, and they have to consider their action.
The likelihood of a US criminal having a gun is relatively higher than European criminal having a gun.
Paris has fking police and military patrol with machineguns...
So it goes back to what I say.
US police has to not be afraid of the concept of dying on duty and “losing” a life to armed criminals.
And people still protest and burn the city, yet we don't hear much of police shooting anyone.
Wait hang on this is turning into something a bit different. You are implying US police are shooting live ammo into protests.
Like I mean I understand and know police wrongly shooting an individual or individuals, but at protests?
No, Im not saying that. Im saying that even in extreme case, heavily armed police don't over step their power.
Ok, we are on the same page. It does go back to what I am pointing out. US police overstep their authority out of fear of death, and then because everyone in the PD are usually afraid of death, they end up defending each other.
That excerpt has been shown to some people then they call THAT "woke" somehow
Then you get some US citizens who either have suffered, or fears, the criminality violence, and they too would rather Police go overkill than miss anything.
TLDR the fear of death makes fools out of the entire US population.
When it comes to the matter of police violence.
Also In the US even if they do over step, they rarely face censure more severe than a few weeks without pay, or if they are fired, they can just go to a new precinct, rarely are there criminal charges
the new Daredevil show covers this too
a girl's dad gets murdered by cops for walking from a trial as a freeman and what she says always stuck with me
I gave up watching it cause I couldn’t get through seasons 2-3 of og daredevil
"Hes Hector Alvarez from the Heights and they are the fucking cops."
bad choice, they are peak
S3 especially is legendary
I’ve got too many shows to finish bro
better step up
I still gotta finish invincible
The usual line I see arguing for this is “why should police suffer for doing their duty to defend society from criminals”, which to me is basically “well, look, if they shot the wrong person they aren’t doing the job right.”
But. To tie it back to my point about the fear of death (and, to a lesser extent, fear of armed criminals), when I did point that out, for once I got a response that was not yelling, and actually said…
“…Well, that mistake is a necessary sacrifice to pay.” [Or words to that effect.]
[and surprisingly civil.]
So yea.
Fear of death by criminality is making the entire US population fools.
Also the problem with U.S law enforcement is not that complex
It always comes from a place of want to abuse authority, prejudice or hate.
Its thoroughly documented unfortunately 💀
In short, they lack of bravery and calm in highly stressful situation? So, cowards?
That's not the kind of things I want in a police organisation.
I won’t dispute any of the above, though I would wonder if I am able to maintain such high standards if I were to be given the correct training and then thrown into the situation.
If the military are like that, especially the "almost no consequence", friendly fire and collateral damage would be off the roof.
Obviously that also implies Police should be trained to military psychological standards, but bringing that up is probably gonna be taboo for a lot of other reasons.
It is not even high standard when so many other place in the world can do it.
TBH this works better as an Inquisition quote. GW should have made the quote about making an arrest for wasting a ration bae by declaring it “not delicious” or something.
Yea but other places don’t easily have firearms available is what I am saying.
I mean you might want to look at Switzerland though.
The entire point of Arbites is to satirize police brutality so it absolutely fits imo.
That probably is the closest equivalent of how things should be.
the fact that we're getting someone from this organization as a companion is crazy
I mean, having police shooting shotguns at minor petty crimes of wasting a ration bar is also police brutality :p
in rt
In all honesty I expect Owlcat to make it so you can make him lean Iconoclast, much like how you can make Heinrix a radical Inquisitor ||or even just ditch the Inquisition and join as your master of whispers if you are a female RT romancing him||
i was on i think ok term with him by end game || even the the he still left in the ending and it said he went to go meet some other inquisitor i think and then was never seen or heard from again ||
Dumb Grimdark/Grimderp question.
…do Orks actually eat humans?
For some reason I have an impression it is implied they do but I can’t think of where I might have gotten that idea…
(Maybe it’s one of those War of The Beast novels?)
I mean, tank bustas have been known to drink motor oil and gas as part of a ritual, so yeah I could see orks also eating humans
yes they do
I think there was also a novel that implied orks keep imprisoned humans around as cattle
yeah they keep humans as like slaves
Ok thanks for clearing that up.
I am aware Orks take human slaves but since GW has left it to fans to decide what is done in said slavery…(probably for the better but still a lore gap)
Now I know it is probably as forced Labour and food supply (depending on Waaghboss preference)
It’s terrible don’t bring it
I think orks will eat almost anything
Its not much beyond just brutal servitude
they beat them up, they kill them or just simply like watching them suffer or use them for food, thats it really
the amount of awful shit they'd do them depends on the slavers lol
Or if you are incredibly unlucky kept around as a strategy slave

Not exactly the usual critique, but also not the usual defence
have orks ever been known to ransom their slaves
you mean use their slaves as bargaining chips?
yea
not really because they don't really need to
a smarter ork can definitely do that
It's just that well
they're orks
their existence is already kind of a compelling argument of them taking what you have
They don't get much from giving back humans
Like they can't ask for money because their money is teef
Aquilias or whatever wouldn't cut it
Weapons, they got their own weapons and ones much more suited for their needs
Only exception could be Blood Axes and even then, they'd probably trade for something more substantial
Yeah but most of the time they would probably employ their cunning to just get it without using up slaves
Mhmmm
they can get things though
Imagine seeing an Ork wearing Pastor Vestments preaching to a WAAAAGGHHH on a pulpit.
I'd love to see ork warped perceptions of the bible
Jesus' ressurection isnt a big deal to them, cause orks get brought back to life all the time by mad doks
No no no.
Orks think the Bible is written by the best Ork ever because that point was so relatable...
"So deze Imperial 'umie boyz tried to krump Khristboss by nailing 'im to a boss pole, but he waz dead 'ard and after three days of sleeping it off, he woke up and reunited with his twelve top nobs and decided ta spread da good word of Gork and Mork."
QRT: DubhDonald
I feel like religion has found me.
So apart from killing and eating Humans, what else can orks do with them?
used as workers for backbreaking labor
Does anyone in 40K not use slaves?
orks would read the old testament and go hell yeah
and entertainment
Votaan probably
Some orcs would keep around humans as pets
they would respect the shit out of the god of hellfire
Votaan is your best bet
Tyranids maybe depending on your definition of slave
if you want to argue about definitions then are votaan not slaves to their system
No because they have rights
slaves can have rights
no because they actually respect each other you know
hell they have literal actual functioning AI robots
and they treat them like they are living beings
they would even go out of their way to rescue one
These guys fully realized that making a fully sapient AI means you need to treat it as a living person
aren't leagues super against free will
what no
i thought they all had to respect their kin values or something
i would say that their leadership is pretty free and basice
yeah but like they're dwarves
Respecting somebodys culture and trade isn't slavery
they're clones
And?
how does that make them slaves
Does this scream slavery
Just like in warhammer fantasy dwarves , kin and family are important
I bet Kin have on average more freedom than human in the Imperium
yeah 100%
Leagues of votann, craftworld eldar, Tau(if you don’t count prisoners), tyranids(?), genestealer cults are often the slaves rising up
For Tyr, could it not be considered that Genestealer cultists could be considered Kins, as for the GSC, they have the people infected that are reprogrammed to help them against their wills
yeah you could count that against them

but LoV, CWE and Tau(excluding prisoners) don't use slaves
I was about to say tyranids but then i remembered
Gsc
Are literally tyranid slaves
Exodites don’t use slaves
Drukhari don’t use slaves either, they use playthings
There’s a difference
Drukhari do use slaves
beyond just the usual "pet" comments about their slaves
they use other drukhari as slaves lol
Think we'll ever get that captain guy's armor for Vet?
I like that Judge Dredd looking armor and the headdress
Zealot maybe
Fuckin zealot? Why them?
The basic arbite armor prolly
Because they are all zealous.
Stand and die protocole enagaged
Yeah I mean we have palatine enforcer armor don’t we? I could see arbites eventually
Vet personalities and overall in universe are much more open minded.
Arbite set would be fun
But it would also prolly be a “premium” set
Or whatever they’re called
I don’t buy skins in this game
Real
You feed the shark...
Everyone in the imperium is a zealot though, that dont fuckin count
Lol
Eh...
🤨
ITS A FUCKING SHOVEL
Should've been a tiny Ogryn pet
is the shovel super good though
the heretek missions in mechanicus are insane
I dunno why they say easy lmao
also, the infiltrator aint that good
vanguards are pretty good though
They’re trolling you
The difficulty is wrong on all of the heretek missions
oh good
I thought I was doing something wrong
because im doing fine on the non heretek missions
but the first heretek mission like..
its a murder
Yeah no the Heretek missions are for omega nerds like me who optimize the shit out of a run
Or for mid game
I quite disliked the veiled enemies in that one
Was quite annoying to have to wait for them to attack to be able to return fire
2 or 3 iirc, but one was always the Summoner type, then 1 full melee, and 1 flex
It depends
3-4 is usually what I do
1 to abuse discounts and recast canticles
1 to summon thing
Im doing full melee explorator, full ranged dominus and one hybrid lexmechanic rn
2 killy
the melee guy is pretty crazy, they can basically walk the whole map in one turn
still havent checked out m2 tbh
make sense
The monologue is mirrored of the 1st game one
It’s just a cinematic
Tbh I hope the ending isn’t a total everyone dies on the other side one
Lol
the first games monologue is really memorable
Wait we know that the Necron's will be ?
" From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it DISGUSTED me"
Necon Overlord being the mirror of Faustinius would make sense
And Tech Priest being // Cryptek
Yeah she’s a varguard
Like the Bodyguards ?
Yep
Oh ok so you're not sending Vargards around
And it won't be mirrored in systems
Intriguing
I mean you might
She could be the lead vargard
We see Videx on the field
In one of the screenshots
videx is my favourite so far
hes got endless quotes lol
someone really put their back into writing his dialogue
Eldritch magic storm is so fun to use
ello gits
90s UK hooligan
this made me stop playing BFG:A2
oh the campaign has me destroy all of chaos and eldar forever?
dropped
Have some grimdark pig lore
‘’Of course, few living humans had ever laid eyes on a porcine. Unless they worked on an agri world, they would never have encountered one of those bloated and obese sacks of stimm-injected muscle and sinew, too colossal to walk without breaking their spindly legs and force-fed high-nutrient chem-soup to keep them growing in the pens. They would never have come across a bovine, either, unless you counted the thready strands of protein-extract pumped into their ration-trays during sanctioned rest-breaks. Such things were legends, in much the same category as relics of the Saints, the Angels of Death or Manifest Acts of the Emperor – things that definitely existed, but were unlikely ever to be encountered.’’
AI in my lorechat?
did you guys see the new gerox mini
I haven't.
it's really cool
Where can I see it?
I can't find it.
I have foreseen a Grey Knight refresh then a Custodes one

You can replace Tamriel and The imperium and it still makes the meme.
i remember vaguely that mankind replaced the cow with the grox
wwhich may or may not be true
do we know what this says or is their an alphabet for the letters its above every door on the backwall of the morningstar
