Guard is the most homebrewable faction
Lol
Take any infantry models from any heroic scale wargaming system
Give them a gun
That’s a fuckin guardsmen
Those napoleonic dudes? Yeah those are lasguns
The weird sci-fi fuckers you got from an eBay lot
Those are guardsmen
the best part is it will look awesome no matter how wacky
Cadians in-universe and on tabletop are like Agent Smith from the Matrix
Lol
Random No-Name Regiment: Hey thanks for helping us Cadian Shock Troo- HUEGH
Cadian in question:
Assimilated

ENJOY YOUR GENERIC RE-COLORED CADIAN ARMY
lmfao god
every cadian kitbash regiment
You can’t stop me!!!
like I HATE how the agent smith thing is not even a joke anymore
they LITERALLY assimilate everyone
i love that warhammer community post of custom kitbash regiments before krieg came out that was just different colours of cadian
red cadian, blue cadian
Those were
Official regiments tbf
They use cadian armor
They had one for more diffrent ones
Like ventrillians, indigans, Ect.
I WILL be using the 54th Noncanion Dipshits, and you can’t stop me
it's so lame lol if i want that type of kitbash i'd make a space marine chapter
Well
Again
It’s munitorum standard

CURSE OF MOEBIAN 21st
I like the basic guardsmen armor look
Tbh
ok true
Btw, is there a farsight enclaves killteam?
probably one day
when they cycle out pathfinders
is that not haram as fuck
I mean who gives a shit
If you got the right base size and operatives are distinct
I don’t mind and neither do most people
People run deathwatch as csm legionaries lol
I can probably just recolor them on tts
I like kill team cause I think smaller scale conflicts are overlooked in 40K
They can be as if not more impactful than large scale
wonder if they ever floated the idea of base human version of deathwatch
Thats just Ordo xenos
darktide rejects
Deathwatch are literally just a spec ops team
the only thing that makes them special is their black armor/silver pauldron aesthetic
otherwise you can fit out any Inquisition human kill-team with the shit they use or even more exotic stuff
only depends on budget which is nothing if the Inquisitor master they have has endless pockets and connections lol
also how does inquisitors power work when starting off do they get payed is someone like ok youve got 100 guys make something out of this or whats the deal
They can acquire assets
Via theft, threatening or legal means
Lol
Get some blackmail on a noble and then run all your assets through their treasury while you get started
^
its literally Mafia City
Do missions
Get/Meet contacts
Set up your powerbase
it's official
as i discussed yesterday
W for auspextactics server
rare moment where a mod team asked the community and stuck with the answer
Having multiple guard regiments working together is more common than it seems.
Even deploying elite troops together.
Like, the guards are dismantled after HH to make them more specialized, so by nature they are not rounded. The scions are mission specific deployment, they are not the jack of all trade.
imagine you have a credit card with Infinity money on it and 0% APR (inquisitorial rosette) and if someone refuses to take it you can just shoot them and nobody will stop or punish you
with that in mind it gets very easy to get stuff very quickly
Unless it’s a rogue trader, then things get more complicated
Cause they also have a Emperor’s Own™️ credit card
And maybe as many guns as you do
yeah LOL
they just trade Emperor-Pattern Credit Cards
at that point its just if you can appeal to the rogue trader's inherently psychotic nature
"you know if you kill those heretics you can take their money"
rogue traders, of course, not understanding that infinity + 1 is still infinity
How do most marine chapters view cannibalism? Is it the same as most worlds or is it more normalized?
It's on the more normalized side for space marines, what with having an entire organ dedicated to making it useful
It usually just happens to eat a bit of brain or whatever to gain some knowledge, but some take it way further like the Mortifactors
Yeah if its like full on flesh-eating they will treat you like monsters lol
the brain eating is a one-bite and done deal, most Chapters never even bother with it but thats largely due to plot reasons.
Chapters like the Flesh Eaters literally HATE how people tihnk they are cannibals
and im like why the fuck did you pick that name then???
💀
what about the flesh golems!
my favorite chapter...
i mean they are cannibals
tbf
i cant even find a fucking lex page of them
Flesh Tearers have a tendency towards it but they go full red thirst so you can't blame them
the flesh eaters do just have ritualized cannibalism lol
you fucking can lmao
Are they?
if an elephant tramples someone that elephant executed
if your father gets his neck torn out by a guy because he was hungry
I searched across also like so many forums
you can porbably blame the guy
Yeah the stuff I read just leaves it at "its a controversial accusation they dont like"
Its in the privacy of their fortress monestary
which is weird
well yeah they don't like it because its true
LOL
they don't chow on loyal imperial citizens
Lmao STFU
It's a matter of honour ok it's very machismo important
its like the Libators drinking blood
WHERE is this written
I need a source for the future

Ultramarine successor with a cup
Their gimmick is they skin people alive and drink blood

its in the 7e or 8e BA codex iirc
I forgor
It's just their nature though they're just little guys
now check the 9th ed
Nothing on 7th either
KEK
I must have eaten the misinfo pill
noooo
🙏
this is my favorite chapter
the worst part is I legit asked people and they give the most unsatisfying stupid answers
16 gigatonnes is a shitton, what're they doing man
they drain all of their blood as sacrifice to guilliman and the codex
but htey do put it in a cup
Mortifactors are on the funny side
Lmfao
I love that passage
spending all that shit to keep that ship there
its so funny
Very imperial to pay that much for nothing, it's based and coolpilled
kinda just imagining like
meat golems
that their pyskers bring to life
some llamas in hats bullshit
i take gore golems as like
'were fucking abominations of science'
'a sin that must be commited to save humanity'
@storm jungle i forgot if you said you made homebrew lore for the gore golems or not
This shit makes me laugh everytime i see pics if gawr gura in 40k
why are 90% of imaginary warhammer posters labotimites
It happens weirdly often
They're probably lobotomites because they overlap a lot with grimdank
Who?
Nah my thing with the gore golems is they got a goofy ass supervillain name and them having zero lore is funny, I got my own custom Chapter
lmao fair
if we get offical art, they are probably red with black trim and their symbol is a skull or something

do tell
Watch them be like pink and yellow or something
Lmao
So awful question time. If GW ever allowed to return Horus to the 40k setting as a loyalist Primarch in exchange for one loyalist Primarch to fall to chaos, would you pick and why?
if it means anything to you, gw confirmed like a decade ago all of the primarchs are coming back eventually
lol the volt and grendal standing there like hitmen
Right, but Horus isn't coming back as a loyalist.
They didn't
thats just people assuming
oh
which may or may not include Dorn
I know at least 3 IF fans who want Dorn to be dead lol
after leman
iirc he was dead
gulliman is probably the next primarch
hes gonna be back and be REALLY into the black templars probably
they had his whole skeleton entombed in amber on the phalanx
that got retconned into just his hand
yeah lmao
I could maybe see Corax turning traitor based on the current state of the imperium.
Ferrus Manus why not
its russ, dorn, then probably sanguin or a character to fill his role
this update basically confirms russ is coming
i think i finished the knight house's culture section
hey whats different between chaos cultists in the black legion compared to any other legion?
do they have anythign special going on
Big fan of this, fuck up enough and you'll pull a space hulk into orbit
Depends on their competence, higher ranking cultists get treated better. ultimately the black legion are astartes supremacists
so even the highest ranking Cultists and traitor mortals
are seen as lesser then the high ranking CSM
Say i wanted an angron figure but i wanted pros to paint it for me
is that a thing?
are they generally more militaristic?
also i think i finished my planet's lore
its a paragraph long if anyone wants to do a lore check
is there any mroe common ideologies among them?
generally speaking it depends,, there's a lot of traitor guard among them
Might makes right, meritocracy stuff
fair
some cultists have weird obsessions with the marines they serve under
some cultists have marines under their command due to the fact they're well respected/highly competent
ect.
very happy with my house's lore im suprised how easily it flew
my only lore concern is the planet itself and of course it's part in the horus heresy
Ferrus Manus, but he becomes the Primarch of the death watch.
what
hes like the most dead out of all the primarchs
there is not any primarch MORE dead than him
Besides the two weirdos
oh yeah of course
Iron Hands have Ferrus' skull and most of the body skeleton, they can rebuild him
If they bring Ferrus back, he should abandoned his legion for the tech heresy.
Fabius rebuilt him like 10 times
He kept forgetting the hands.
or clone him
Ferrus comes back, but he gives up on redeeming his legion.
Ferrus comes back but he dies again to celebrate fulgrims return to the setting
if they do return him id actually prefer this tbf
out of shame he abandons his legion and just works with the ordo xenos instead
He should come back in the Legion of the Damned
the writer of the legion of the damned lore was interviewed and wished they came up with that idea lmao
i think she mentioned she read about that idea online and confirmed she never wrote that but that it was an amazing idea
The ferrus LOTD stuff
was people taking what abnett wrote about the emperors psychic attack
and then saying it was the LOTD
I don't think he'd like modern Iron Hands
which isn't the case
Yeah he didn't like the Iron hands back then either lol
to say they had a bad relationship is an understatement lol
I think Ferrus was the only primarch who regularly got in shouting matches with his Sons lol
They had some big disagreements on philosphy lol
Better than killing them
and then when ferrus died the IH went off the deep end and started dropping moons on people
lol
not a joke btw
What about making Ferus a primarch character for the inquisition?
they dropped a moon on the world eaters
Love my red talons.
Valid and fair reaction
ferrus is dead as hell
same with Sang, horus and curze
Too emotionally angry for the IH.
They should stay that way
Omegon is cypher!!!!!
They should stay dead but I'm not going to be surprised if/when they return in some way
So are fallen angels as a thing in csm over now?
Nah some are just full chaos
they died in 9th as a stat sheet
no
i
LMAO
They were the most half assed thing ever
i forgot where cypher lives
i think hes still in csm
his stat sheet i mean
now he's CSM codex only
but Cypher isn't chaos corrupted
unlike some other famous Fallen
there's a Fallen whos a daemon prince of khorne
There are some fallen angels concepts I liked.
and another Fallen on Abbadons war council
who is still alive btw
And loves killing Dark Angels
LOL
One being that daemon Prince with a lion for a head
What's the plague marine fallen called again
I liked astelan
like this fallen dude is obviously part of the black legion lol
he wasn't a fallen he was a modern day traitor
the DA just laughed at him and killed him lol
from the 6e codex but yeah
some Fallen are traitorous as hell now lol
and then there's also this dude
but yeah Fallen vary wildly
So just double checking, the fallen only applies to traitor space marines that destroyed Caliban?
The term the fallen applies exclusively to the marines on caliban before it blew up
aka over half the legion
I thought black legion members get rid of their own heraldry
And if we get into the Horus Heresy details…
For example, there is the hounds of Abby.
Well, some of them are risen now.
Yes
There was a civil war brewing on Caliban already
when The Lion was coming back
the Fallen were totally disunified as a force even back then
Some were still loyal to the lion, some wanted to kill him, some wanted to secede from the Imperium but were still loyal to the lion, some wanted to embrace chaos, ect.
What Dark Angels collectively call The Fallen are actually, well, a massively disparate group.
The only commonality was that they did not like to be on the side to Lionel Johnson back in the days.
Some only wanted independence from the Imperium.
Some were actually knee deep in Chaos.
Some were loyal to the Imperium but were lied to and thought Lion might have gone crazy…
Yea basically the above.
So the reason why Dark Angels are so obsessed with hunting The Fallen, in a sense, they are literally hunting for pieces of their own history.
I remember way back in 3rd edition they allowed Guard Codex to take Cypher.
That was interesting.
Those fallen DA are just blackshield marines.
I see cypher being a character that can be played on both sides
Perhaps swapping over time
Very unique
tbf i like fallen, they make good 'inbetween chaos and not' stat sheets
but they needed to be erriatcated lmao
DA is not the only one with black shield people.
one of the most importnat balck shields was a WE
surpsied the WEs didnt have more deserters
DA is too autistic so they group anyone who is not loyal with the imperium up as traitor.
The largest group of black shield is RG successor. Apparently, the RG does know their location, but they don't mind too much about it.
99% of the WE loyalists were killed on Istvan, alas
yeah but htey had a fucking while to leave
DG had alot of deserters
probably because they didnt like
get a choice
to betray the imperium
i think iron warriors had a good amount of deserters too
DA is the special case because it takes time to sort out who is who. To be fair, it is an issue with the leadership during HH.
oh the psycho murderer space pirate ones?
Yes, though they are very cautious about their action, much like the RG, and they know that their location is not a secret so they can't go too crazy.
Before Istvaan 3 you mean?
yeah
all their predation fleets generally went rogue
tbh the ashen claws aren't that horrifying
they're also one of 2 blackshield groups we know of
that survived to 40k
Ashen Claws stayed(mostly) loyal but are renegades and operate outside of imperial authority
They are not, but still the biggest one non chaos aligned.
LMAO
went off the deepend lol
REALLY?
its a mix of luna wolves and space wolves
lol
They're chaos as fuck now
Those guys are in a few hundred, Ashen Claws is still around thousands.
the best of spcae wolf lore
i didnt realize they were a blackshield first lmao
"One much-suppressed example of a larger Shattered Legions formation was the host of Cadre captain Skyrar, a hybrid force of his own Sons of Horus chapter and the survivors of the Space Wolves' mauled 6th Great Company. Originally sworn to the service of the Warmaster and bearing his Serpent's Eye, this warband butchered Neo Cadiz and its surrounding systems in the opening stages of the Horus Heresy, supposedly tasked with bringing so called 'Dark Compliance' to the westernmost fringes of the Imperium but given wholly to reaving and slaughter by the time the Traitors were amassing around Terra, refusing all attempts at recall."
I don't think they had much of a choice, being stuck in the fleets with the rest of the WE. If they betrayed first and they would just be traitors
obviously the new post labotamy WE didnt have a choice
I mean
they did
ironically
the WE had the highest purge number
just behing the EC
LOL
there's some irony to that yes
1k sons were all forced into the same boat, i cant htink of any rogue 1k sons
Yeah they hated Angron, but they were loyal to a fault until they were betrayed
the pre and post primarch 1k sons blended really well too
probably ebcasue there was only 1k of htem
WE is the highest primarch dislike ratio.
It makes sense that many of them flow off.
id think raven guards would liek to argue otherwise
most of the old guys getting put into sucicide squads
most if not all
RG have problem, but they are still very diplomatic about it.
the salamander blackshields
had some funny stuff happened
the biggest group got declared traitor
and exterminated
oh and half of white scars and the best of the DAs
OOO?
they were doing something
And Corax participated and spread-headed in pretty much every of those suicide runs.
At the very end, it was also the terran RG decided to suicide rushed to save Corax.
but yeah their scheme goes hard as hell
and corax being trash at videogames
there's 0 fucking chance anyone is going to paint it
let me check their traitro ruels for the main game
for an entire like Blackshield warband lol
i mean for the hh game
oh lmao
There is a reason Ashens Claws is the only black shield that's not exactly a secret to the SM organisation.
Redemption of Flames (Traitor only)
Turned to the service of the Warmaster, those Salamanders who abandoned their old master seek to cleanse with flame the bonds that once held them to the Emperor. On the battlefield, their zeal for their new master is made evident in the trail of ash and devastation that is left in their wake.
As time went on, Xiaphas Jurr began to transcribe the words of Cassian Dracos, previously recorded by individual crew members as well as the vox systems of the Ebon Drake, into a single tome. This work would later be called "The Prophecies of the Flames". Jurr himself eventually assumed the mantle of "Prophet of Fire", and his work became the creed of the Disciples of the Flames. It is known that the ideas of Dracos mirrored in some way the "schismatic" beliefs harboured by the Techpriests of Mezoa even before the Heresy. Their variant of the Machine Cult, called the "Flame Eternal", had developed due to the Forge World's long isolation, constant experience of warfare, and contacts with House Hermetika (which held "quixotic" beliefs) In addition, the Disciples of the Flames were influenced by the personal views of Jurr who re-adopted the obscure divinatory rituals of his homeworld of Proximal, resulting in many Disciples starting to use charms and repainting their armour with devotional scenes
tldr they went fucking insane lol
and started some weird proto imperial faith cult mechanicus hybrid
They sound fun, they should've stuck around
religious insanity salamanders is quite peak
why is admech good allies with salamanders?
Ultima founding to be exact
They are just more level headed overall, and they both have forge worlds as base.
Both Sally and RG makes many of their own gear.
salamanders having more allies than ultra mariens is very upsetting
They also enjoy some innovation, which is rare from Admech, but the maggots love people who appreciate their innovations.
also being on okay temrs wtih nls is very weird for salamadners
Its from Horus Heresy 2e
Hmm, because I remember RG absolutely hates the NL and AL.
its weird
bcs its a mix of pre heresy/early heresy/late heresy
bcs GW wanted to have their cake and eat it too
when HH2e is like exclusively mid to late heresy
Do you think they'll ever reveal what it was?
right here
I can see the bit of the IG liking Sons of Horus because a big portion of them deserted to chaos with Horus.
the sons of horus also weren't dicks to the imperial army
It's weird to think there are still loyalist guard regiments from Horus's home world in 40m.1
Sorry, M41
?
I forgot how the dating system in 40k is written.
But yeah, still imperial guard regiments that come from the planet where Horus was found and was nuked by the dark angels being team killers.
Millennium.Year I think?
Lemme check
...okay yeah no wonder they don't know what fucking year they're in
"Where no year fraction is used, and only the year itself, it is acceptable to write the year with a backslash, for example; 987/M41."
Apparently the fraction system is basically X/1000
So the Imperial Calendar technically has 1000 "days" but they're not actually days
Oh
This is however
Pre-Great Rift
There's more
Guilliman, presumably getting the same headache I got after trying to figure out this shit, apparently decided to make a new system.
We don't actually know this new system.
But this has been met with a civil war inside the Ordo Chronos

It also apparently takes into account the local time
So if you think time zones here are confusing
Imagine trying to compare fucking time zones in DIFFERENT PLANETS IN DIFFERENT SOLAR SYSTEMS

Pain.
And finally to actually calculate the fraction part of the Pre-Rift calendar.
Firstly you take the day of the Julian Calendar. Let's say June 18th, 2005
Then times it by 24 and add the actual hour (for example 16 hours have passed) to get the "determined hour"
And then multiply that for 0.11407955
And you get the Imperial Fraction
...
And now you know why the Administratium probably has higher suicide rates than the Imperial Guard
You should
So I just had a thought. If the red corsairs get a codex, they should be able to run SW units.
They got a warband made of Space wolves.
oh these dudes
love their lore
led by a dread i think
yeah ok wow the legion's leader pre vulkan actually
As it should be
Finished broken lance
The team forgot how to animate mouths
But besides that it was very very good
i can't really tell much difference with the variants. but as far as i know in terms of Patterns, we only see Armigers and Questoris patterns. no Dominus?
i believe so yes
😢
if they were to make another knight focused animation, I'd kinda hope the protagonist is a Freeblade
i don't see anything different
must be the new discord look
odd
so is it just me or did the inquisitor from rogue trader have a piddly ass retinue for the likes of an inquisitor
like i think the only named person he has is that one assistant guy
yeah it was pretty lame
one could say he intentionally made himself appear insignificant...
considering his plan, i don't blame him
but that's about all i can tell
He has 2 core retinue members, Aside from that he has a horde of goons
yeah its a narrow pass of stable warp in the wall of warp storms that cut off the expanse from the rest of the galaxy
its the only way into or out of the sector
and as i mentioned
secrets
the guy is a walking pile of secrets
yup
he did bring the space wolves
so that might be part of why he didnt bring a bigger retinue
Is it normal for a normal battle brother to display their company on something like their kneepad or is it more of a prestigious thing?
it is normal and almost expected in some chapters
the yellow thong goes crazy
yeah the kneepad is honestly a more common place for it than the shoulder it feels like
because the shoulders normally have the chapter icon and the role icon
Codex Compliant Poindexters vs RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH....who will win????
#warhammer40k #ultramarines
FUCK IT TURN ONE CHARGE!!!
Am i trippin? Space marine 2 is factually a live service game right? Ive seen people say that it isnt when i cant think of a single reason on how it isnt a live service when it gets constant MTX and content updates.
A live service game is a game for which a video game publisher plans to continue providing new content, which is sold to the player at incremental rates. This additional content is usually not necessary to enjoy the core experience of the game
Id say it technically enters this category
Live-service games have generally moved though towards more "free content + extra paid content" more than the other way around
First result on google apparently disagrees as well lol
Ive just reread this and id say sm2 100% fits that criteria. I dont know how someone can say that it isnt live service
Yeah its very much that.
live-service is essentially releasing a game then promising larger future content through big updates and paid side-meals or whatever
even really old titles like Team Fortress 2 fit this criteria
Is space marine 2 any good ?
Its alright.
Good if your PC can run it and you can get a few hours of fun stuff out of it.
But absolutely buy it on a sale.
I find SM2 considerably lacking when compared to DT, but people do seem to dig it, so it can't be that bad
Absolutely yeah
Its a very mid-2000's game which people praised a lot before like forgetting about the game entirely a month later lol
From what I've seen, SM2 is just a very simple pub stomp kinda game you can jump into and get out
Also yeah it's definitely a bit of a nostalgic product
Complete with a tacked on multiplayer everyone forgot about
Have they done any updates to multiplayer?
Uhhh like... 2?
SM1 still holds up
I cant remember
Fight me
People here would probably agree that it's story is better than SM2's so
Not many games nowadays aren't live service.
Mostly indie games, kinda anyway
Still a case to case basic
True
Live service is a cash grab with low skilled Devs running the ship most times
I got darktide after the update
Hard disagree
While you can make decent money with an excellently crafted one-and-done game, usually live service makes more for better and for worse
The power of donators
The key is to make your game good so people buy your MTX more
TF2 is one of the most predatory games out there yet nobody complains about it because the game is fun
Mtx ?

Microtransactions
Aah
anything that makes you open your wallet to give the game money
Valve has mastered brainwashing players for over 2 decades now
I know
Why can I not post gifs
your name is grey, you need to talk here some more
Can I cheese it
No
😢
its because the words "live service" make people think of p2w slop so good live service games tend to get the "its not live service" treatment
yup
Sorry for interrupting live service gives REAL red flag vibes
yup
For the trained gaymers
and thus the cope
for a long time live service did mean a shit game made to milk whales
we have only recently started to see the rise of high quality live service games
Yeah
so the prevailing view is still the "MTX store with a game glued to it"
yeah
all mmos are also live service
And they made her character the most annoying on purpose
Who?
The mtx shopkeep
oh yeah
She's fine
Xenos trading filth
Hallowette is a literal crook
why would she be nice to a literal death row person shes swindeling

I thought it was a joke she was a pirate
we are a captive customer base after all
Only a corpse picker
I so wish she kept her mean comments, even if it's not s good idea in retrospect
she is the seneshal of the rogue trader whom's ship we are on, and a smuggler
Most sadly
Capitalism is capitalism baby
same reason Hadron doesnt care about you
neither does Masozi
and so on lol
i like how sassy she is
Well she is trying to sell us plucked shit, so her being somewhat nice when we have cash makes sense
Brothers and sisters my phone is dying
yeah like she has a rank and is a useful supply runner
"oh and dont tell Ranick, or do i dont really much care"
She knows she'd just get reprimanded yeah lol
True
"wah wah store lady was mean to me"
Not
Me when
Womon
Mean
Mog ogryn
Bro she's just an NPC she's not going to come to your house IRL and sell you shit
Don't worry, she's not real
I love people like her IRL too
why does bro have beef with a virtual shop seller
I just dont get that trail of thought. Saying a game isnt live service just because live service has a bad rep seems super dumb. If a dogs a dog, call it a dog.
i know but people are not smart especially when dealing with something they are passionate about
@queen laurel OGRE EPISODE OGRE EPISODE OGRE EPISODE
What is this?
Adeptus Ridiculous, they do vids on 40k lore though it's more entertainment than accuracy. They've moved recently onto fantasy and things outside of Warhammer like Trench Crusade
Folks here are somewhat split on them but I enjoy their journey into fantasy
It has a total war game yes
I do not watch adeptus ridiculous
Of the channel? The vid itself?
Channel is it on yt
Yep
its a podcast channel
I got something to spend my travel time
thankfully none of the podcasts are like 6+ hours long like many of them tend to be
yeah
True
I LOVE OGRES TOO!!!!
Sometimes I wish Ogryns had some of the personality of ogres in their design
But I accept that they're both different interpretations of ogres as a fantasy race
Absolutely
Like the amount of effort they went through to animate giant mongolians eating and singing is amazing
If you watch the full video like three seconds more, greasus does an evil grin right at the end of his burp
That grin is just the more evil ogre thing ever
Like it screams" yeah I've eaten men women and children whole"
God forbid a man can have good meals
Happy Easter!
I also like how almost every fantasy faction has their own ogre units
Happy easter!
HAPPY ZOGGING EASTER
Happy easter
Hello all
Hello loon queen
henlo
why does it look so bland for a chaos rhino
Okay i just can't stay quiet for a death guard vehicle that looks cleaner than a garbage pile
It's a little too clean, yea
it looks almost like something that raptors would use
Like it looks so god damn not death guard
same colour scheme
Like this thing looks cleaner than nurgle's garden
A REAL SPEARHEAD FOR KHRONE
It's also the fact that it lacks any characteristics of nurgle
It looks too f****** clean
It could be a recent capture, but man it's way too clean
Maybe maybe the tzeentch one won’t be ass!
Yeah but like recent captures are like
Rapidly corrupted
On top of that there’s the next quarterly balance update for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, and… some other things…
Like put some damn mouths on the damn thing
The top right thing looks funky though
Or like pus growths
i genuinely love nurgle tanks
they look so weird
Yeah this literally this it looks dirty it looks fitting
The other one just looks way to clean
monkey's paw combat patrol
we get a vehicle but it's a barely changed vanilla rhino
literally the cheapest space marine vehicle too
You got a vehicle shuddup
guard sentinel got transformed into 6 horses
You stole the Rhino from the old Sororitas Patrol
I'm not too familiar with the minis, does this lad just have one eye
I can't tell because of how grainy it looks i'm going to be honest
But it seems that he has two eyes
That deathwatch kill team is still my favourite kill team set of all Time
The one that has bits and pieces from other chapters on the death watch members
Kill team Cassius?
Yeah
I don't think it was actually a Killteam
It was a Kill team in terms of Deathwatch lore, but not a Killteam in terms of the game mode
Yeha it was for a board game called killteam
Not an actual killteam
For killteam
It was a killteam for killteam not killteam even though it’s a killteam
Lemme check
Nope both eyes
How likely is it to find killteam games against other newbies on TTS?
something about a rhino for plague marines and terminators is just so funny to me
maybe it synergizes quite well though
just give them mobility scooters
I think they’d break
do plague marines only take up one slot?
Yeah
Terminators can’t get in rhinos so they’ll be slogging it
But with how small a combat patrol board is
I mean…..
i thought they can they just take up 2x the slots
Nah
They take up 2x slots in land raiders
Terminators are literally too heavy for rhinos to carry safely
if only it wasn't also the cheapest most readily available transport option for all space marines but repackaged with two unique pieces
not even a land raider
Why the fuck would they put a land raider in a combat patrol box
Lol
A land raider is almost 300 points
because it's an expensive af box
Yes and you’re getting good value from the DG box?
It’s like very good savings
Even without the rhino
there's no way a group of plague marines is that expensive
It’s the deathshrouds and 2 characters
those are characters?
Yes
There’s a Lord of
I forgot what
And the bell dude
I forgot the name of
I don’t play death guard
The box has 2 characters 2 squads and a metal box
i still think the rhino looks lazy
It’s literally fine
Maybe a predator instead or w/e
A land raider literally has no use in the box
You can’t even fill it with all the dudes
nah that would defeat the purposes of a transport option
Doesn’t have to be a transport imo
The transport is nice for the box but they could have added another squad or a dif vehicle
didn't you just say it goes well with plague marines
It does, but so do more plague marines lol
Plague marines like rhinos a lot
But I don’t think anyone will complain about more minis or a small tank
i wish guard got a chimera
Their current patrol is weird lol
It’s like extremely good value wise
As long as you like horses
it's like combat patrol is morphing into fast mobile unit battles
Tbh it’s ironic that the Tau one is the complete opposite of it
It’s way slower then the old one
The CWE one is also slower
i genuinely find it hard to believe that somebody who wants to start playing warhammer would do combat patrol instead of kill team
i know it's very different
but if the idea of a combat patrol is to provide an easy way to start then kill team does that just better
you have to go all in on 40k
if you want to build your own army then you'll want options right? that takes buying a lot of units
what I've heard from people who've played Combat Patroll, they've thought it an excellent starter for the game
even if it's just combat patrol size
Usually people settle on a list and build towards that
Options to swap come later
i like that kill team has a lot of flexibility with a limited amount of units
and yeah it's not going to introduce you to 40k but if you have never played tabletop then it's an excellent introduction to the whole concept
Mhm
i generally love the combat patrols
i got one for Lumineth
only thing it doesnt have is my knights, so room for expansion too
also a martial hero, i dont generally like casters as heroes
Imagine if the bones were picked out by dart board
So here's a question. Could the necrons control an imperial knight with a scarab?
They can control the pilot with a mindshackle one maybe
But I doubt the throne mechanicum wouldn’t notice
It doesnt help that like
Necron technology is literally "whatever the author wants at the time" lol
since they are just extremely advanced, they need to be nerfed in most engagements in lore because otherwise they'd steamroll everyone
Yeah that also
Like ignoring that
Tbh it gets to the point it’s kind of stupid
5 warriors can probably melt a knight's leg with concentrated fire
Its great but the issue is like again they are TOO op
they need a sabotage in every campaign
lmao
To prove that point once I had a Chapter Master of my marines die to a necron during an engagement
(he got accidentally shot by a regular necron warrior gauss strayshot)
💀
(in the face)
As a marine against Necrons you gotta pray your refractor field works and you have oneLOL
Otherwise
YEP
Shits gona be awful
Tbf
that is just embarrassing
You can dodge
