We do not, from the way she’s taking she got dragged out to do this
Now granted atoma isn’t too bad
It’s in segmentum Solar
from what i know shes just conscipted by Grendyl like any other RT by an Inq
From what you have seen how bad is the corruption in your words
Of the planet
of course its not a wholly one sided agreement
she could just leave, but im pretty sure its implied she owes grendyl
and of course money is everything to a RT
not bad enough to warrent astartes yet atleast
whatever is happening with the sister city could warrant astartes actuon
There’s a fucking hole
Yeah as time goes on it's literally just gonna accelerate
or atleast a way bigger Inquisitorial strike force
but that one tech priest did say they should just extermintus the place tbh
a Lord Inq needs to show up
We can handle it for now but it's only a matter of time before
they’re not wrong
Uh
The planet is fucked imo
We're essentially fighting a losing fight huh
Also a uh, a maybe
to avoid overwhelming loss of resources, typical Admech tho
okay might be out of the loop with this question BUT
Wait do you think that ritual we stopped in the new mission was summoning a demon
wtf is wrath and glory
It’s a ttrpg
most def
Warhammer tabletop rpg
ahh
Yeah it's also the most easiest warhammer tabletop rpg
You get a mission from grendyl
Right alongside soulbound
And you get to uh
Do stuff
And then it culminates with the cultists summoning a fucking ||great unclean one maybe, or a massive daemon||
favorite theory on Grendyl: they aren’t one person, but a collective
You also don't know soulbound it's for age of sigmar
That’s a fun one
That I like tbh
i dont see what else they couldve been trying to do
think about it
there could have been an og Grendyl
but
the utter level of secrecy is immense
from what we know, theres no leaks either
I think grendyl is many people as well
Ya honestly maybe that wasn't a ritual to bring back one of the twins but a ritual to summon a greater demon
Tbh
Considering they managed to get
Whatever the fuck that thing was through
And into real space
There’s a big hole in the veil
Rinda coming back to haunt the warband was a good sign she could be used as a champion offering
and as we see, the cult of admonition thought that as well
the Karnaks had relatively stable positions under nurgle
Oh neat theres an image of them I forgot about
we havent even seen Wolfer’s capabilities yet
im wondering what the rift between dreg and scab leadership is going to cause
||Its fucking cooked theres a pre nerf PBB gunlugger going at it||
Nah it would win
oh 100% the scabs are pompous bastards about it
OG 6th coming back to enlighten the massess
and they dont seem to shy away much
especially being noble blood
wink wink nudge nudge
house Margrave is definitely a main suspect in the entire Atoma prime conflict right?
Imo there was def some involvement lol
Wether or not they intended it to spiral like this
they dont exactly come off as not sus
There’s def nobles involved
and their sudden spanner into the gears with the commissar
House margrave could be bait
somehow taking leadership over an inquisitorial warband
Tbh if it’s done like the fight in the module that would be cool
Oh some of the skilltree art ended up in the book
That is true using the environment to take one out should be fine
I didn't notice my first read
It reuses some imperium maledictum art lol
Melk works for Brahms? right?
same as hallowette?
im also a little put off that we dont get to see more of that one clean fellow in the trailer
guy that looks up to Brahms on the bridge
Probably some random deck officer
he had clean drip
he has to be important
everyone else is stuck with a bland uniform
he's the official skull polisher
Melk is inqusitorial
righto
What trailer was it
He deals with wyrmwood stuff
assumed cause he makes the contracts
Melk is an alpha legion infiltrator
opening game trailer, dunno what it’d be exactly
Deathrow?? is that you?!
im not sure anyone besides hallowette is part of the normal crew
It’s just her
Melk is a puppet who is controller by Bardin, who is hiding behind the counter and putting on a caricature of Lohner
For that area lol
besides.. the crew
yeah but they dont have names they arent real
but yea that area is sectioned off for the warband
thats a good example that brahms still has some power
she allows us on the ship
but it isnt the warbands ship
its fun to think that based on lore and the RT game there's thousands and thousands of engineer serfs belowdecks that probably have no idea whats going on
This dude?
yes
He looks like some sort of bridge officer
Looks like the grand factorum or something
and yeah its clear that brahms is doing grendyl a favor, albiet unhappily
We dunno if the job is split for Brahms dynasty
average RT
hallowette working under a RT and still secretly smuggling shit in the ship is hilarious
oh hallowettes operations arent secret from brahms
and.. also to Morrow..?
that part is.. a “secret”
wonder what he asked her to smuggle on
no way Rannick doesnt know of it tho
Well it’s her job

Gotta make cash
shes trading for brahms in a rogueish fashion
also, for all intents and purposes, Rannick is definitely running the show, even if Morrow doesnt like him
Even during a time like this lol
Its the inquisition and a rogue trader they both have a paper signed by god saying they can do whatever the fuck
oh yeah rannick is the top of the chain
Rannick is def in charge of the inqusitorial group as a whole
in the case of the RT game, a giant fuck off god’s blanket of a paper
the only person who could possibly countermand him besides grendyl is brahms
and thats with ship related stuff
hes the senior interrogator
on tbe ground hes boss
i assume she tries her hardest not to yeah
She has very little reason to mess with the warband
And her money
keeping the Moebians away
Brahms should just go down and solo like a real rogue trader
and getting Paid.
Lol
Nah she’s running noble officer
the less she gets involved with the chaos happening below the less chance of her ship going to hell so she lets hallowette do some skimming
Von Valancius wouldn't be taking that shit from a traitor regiment
Or any of the other expanse traders
atoma is uh, a more cosmopolitan region than the expanse as it were
Are a bit loopy
Insane
speaking of her keeping the Moebians away, have you all seen the unlisted youtube vox clip of a “Wyrmwood agent” contacting Mourningstar and denying any access code?
tis her ship
Melk is def in charge of vox reports tho
him being The wyrmwood
“You fool. 10 seconds longer and they’d have tracked the Mourningstars position in orbit!”
its so unclear what the orbit situation is lol
- its space, no way they cant just look up and find jt
- so much for encrypted vox
encrypted vox means next to nothing
ALSO
after the dark age of technology they lost all encryption besides the ceasar cypher
apparently by that vox clip, ALL wyrmwoods are out of action
either too scared to surface or dead
the former is VERY MUCH worse than the LATTER
but yeah you really cant hide anything in space lol
hey actually
you can
if sight travelled in space that easily we’d see everything
But where the fuck is it I had it 2 seconds ago
stuff is just really far away there's nothing obstructing you
theres vox talking about ship cordons, fighter squadrons, stuff like that
we dont know a lot about the imperium's astronomy capabilities though
Yeah theres nothing obstructing you but you're also searching an utterly massive area
and brahms is a fucking RT, no way she DOESNT have some kind of scramble tech
not including possible equipment gifted by Grendyl-and-gang
and Mourningstar is baby small, wouldnt be impossible to hide
its not a huge ship by any means
its bigger than most asteroids
1.4 i think
its a frigate
which in 40k are bigger than destroyers for some reason

ah 40k i love you
life is too simple to have 40k make sense
tis the world we liveth in
i have to assume someone fucked it up way back when, maybe with the first release of battlefleet gothic
why wouldnt the size of something vary from your big toenail to a 2 story building
40k is funny in how sometimes it's got pretty realistic scales and sometimes they're nonsense, and sometimes that varies for things writer to writer lol
few scifi settings would crew a 1.6km ship with 26000 people
i think ravenors crew flies around in a jumped up gunship
id say 32k
That extra 4k probably isn't crew but they're there
its been a while since i read them
at most he commandeers what is basically a transport shuttle lel
i assume its approximate because its been a while since the last census lol
i think it was a crew of.. 80?
and there's births and deaths to account for
mightve been 40
eisenhorn literally flies around in a gunship everywhere too lol
he befriends a RT thats basically a robot
and his whole crew is servitors
minus the navigator
oh yeah that guy!
Never read siege of Terra never will
he was cool that was the first time i read about digiweapons and learned about the awesome alien orangutan engineers
oh.. okay
i dont have time to read the siege of terra
ive read most of it
i could read the whole malazan book of the fallen series again
minus TEaTD vol 2-3
still cant believe they split that shit into three parts
Isn’t SoT siege of Terra
yes
they cant do that to dan
I haven’t read it I wouldn’t know
what
That they talk about gas planets
no one could have written something that wasnt an endless slog if they were forced to stretch the events over 3 books lol
In the book series
oh right
Hey, respect Dan
he has a slight obsession with bodysuits
thats all
im saying its impossible even for him
yeah but they're about different stuff
with no story plotholes
they made him write 3 books about one event we already knew the broad strokes of
i feel bad for Dan
of course its going to feel like its slowed down they've got him writing xianxia
paid by the word
i remember hes told a few fans he was almost done with Pandemonium, but has to wait for the green light after the tv show comes out
cause pandemonium is that crucial to 40k’s story
mindblowing
Sorry for seemingly like a dick I just finished a paper 45 minutes before it’s due
he said he wanted to get back to gaunts ghosts tho, happy about that cause the victory part 2 is a shit ending
no harm no foul
maybe im 40k biased but i think gaunts ghosts has a shit ending cause its happy
“happy”
character casually having an identity crisis
the tanith get shit on every book for the whole book
i havent read all of them only 10 or 11
i.. have
the first 3 omnibusses
300 dollars on old prints later
most of the books i own are 40k books for some reason
e-books are cheaper but i love paper
99.99% are 40k for me
i have 5 abnett omnibusses
(eisenhorn, ravenor, gaunts 1-3)
yes
i have all 3
of the series’
teehee?
thats like 15 books or so
I have a problem and am rereading The Wheel of Time
i guess i own almost that many culture books after inheriting those
yes.. barelt scratches the surface of my entire collection
i have 85+ from maybe 5-6 years
roughly 2k+ in expenses
besides warhammer 40k, The Culture, Earthsea, and some misc scifi (shoutout ringworld) most of the rest of my books are technical
the ONLY book (and i mean only) that i can not make myself finish, is Space Wolf Omnibus
cant do it
i have all 4 of Knuth's The Art of Computer Programming
you know i think theres 5 of these my box set stops at combinatorial algorithms part 1
ive had slogs with certain pov’s in a story but jts just not good
gib
gib now
i need to master C++
im not even a professional programmer anymore im going into biochemistry
Knuth doesnt use any C++ these are too old for that
im barely skimming the programming ladder, im jn love
only caveat is i hate math
first genuine skill issue ill ever admit to
you honestly dont need that much math for most programming
dont worry most programers are stupid
unless you do graphics or stuff like that
yes thankfully
just formulas really
i have a couple of C++ books but it was never a language i put effort into learning
C++ looks like my 15th reason why
i know many other languages that are less messy
im learning Java in school
why
java is a good language to start out with
who tf still uses java
my hs..
C++ is fine if you stick with the standard but some of the libraries out there....
yeah but java isn't like a bank language
(hell)
kinda like asking "who still uses pascal" nobody its just good for teaching in
im an utter novice these are all runic languages to me
lol
banks do
see thats a good answer
its simple..?
because its good for teaching in
i find C++ to be pretty simple
but long
it handles a lot of bullshit for you and forces some good habits
the low level stuff at least
C++ looks like a lot more complicated action than java
anyways all languages are just a road that leads to python
speaking as someone who learned on java then followed it up with maybe 10 other languages
just learn to code bro
gotta keep telling ourselves itll get good in 10 yrs🙏🏻
I picked this major because I liked coding
i worked for 10 years in the field and then switched careers instead of going back to finish my bachelors lmao
now the industry is on fire
6 figure salary for debugging
some might say it was always in a bubble
i also liked coding
i wanna be cyber security because im still young and naive and innocent
Cybersec is cool
doing it for work took a lot of the fun out of it you write a lot of boring fuckin code
cybersec is indeed cool, but HARD
work coding made me hate coding
yeah
jokes on you i like boring fuckin code
College is smoothing my brain out
my friend taught me return oriented programming that shit is wacko
i thought all cybersecurity did was issue id badges and mess with the firewall
i want to spend 8 hours on a project just to see it all crumple away in the millisecond it takes my computer to process it
they do a lot but why is it a college degree
hacking used to be so easy
when.. before it was taught online for free?
now you have to either find a big fat gaping wound or be a genius
before stack canaries and shit
do you need to go to college to learn about computer security though
just be a real cybersec learner and steal the lessons online
encryption/software security yeah
impress the unimpressed
partly because no one will hire you without a degree in the field
for anytbing
it's very important work but like a bachelors is for learning science
now i get to leverage my programming skills to do science which is actually fun
i learned R in 3 hours
working on regression models of water quality in urban stream systems
since i seem to have found likeminded individuals.. any tips on it? atleast as a career path? what i should look out for/avoid?
uh
other than Java if im listening to that guy lol
hackathons if you can
?
oh also make connections
get good at databases
only internships I've gotten were because I cheated knew someone
lots of phone calls?
sorry
emails
get involved in groups and stuff doing things in the field
like the field of computer science
right
that's how you should be doing computer science
the industry
actually thats good advice for anytbing
book learning is useless
prioritize application of knowledge
ideally you'll build a portfolio on guthub and get connected by working alongside people
the doing, not the knowing
I mean, i'd argue knowing the subject is still vital to a degree
of course
it's just how the work sector sees it. i'd rather hire a genius with very little hands on experience since that person can learn a lot
s'how my in law managed to land a 411 job
but they want immediate return on investment, ie as little training as possible
which means hands on experience
internship but no internship?
until someone gets hands on experience theres really no evidence they're a genius anyway
i think you can tell sometimes
some people i know can do insane theoretical stuff but arent good in application
i think my real actionable advice is learn SQL really good it will always be useful
im biased as a former DBA
from just what im learning right now, which is extremely basic shit. i feel i can succeed more when im actually putting it together, than trying to plan or think it out.. if that makes sense
that goes for almost anything tbh
yeah i just go on stuff if it's simple enough
im not good at hypothesizing stuff, or planning. if i can get right to it the better
i'll plan if i care about performance or if the task is truly complex
jobs just want proof that you can do basic things. if you want to do projects dont worry about making sure it's the best thing ever made
i've had to write high-perf code for databases and asynchronous code for data retrieval and both of those required pre-planning
can i phone a friend with all this vocab..
but that was like spending time at a whiteboard drawing out schemas and planning common queries
im a year into basic java im strugglin
i absolutely wowed my last job's interview just by doing basic optic fiber manipulations lol
asynchronous code is code that doesnt run in a single linear fashion
program a robot or something
when you interview you can bring that up
just buy a sparkfun kit
i shouldve started doing at home shit months ago but im a little swamped rn to start
my high performance code had to run on a dataset that was 300 million rows long
think i knew a classmate who programmed a custom robot to flip people off with the finger
also try learning about electrical stuff. pure software knowledge is fucking useless in a lot of sectors
Or join an FRC team
frc?
FIRST robotics championship
First Robotic Competition
i see
You build non combat competition robots
my team went to worlds the year i was driving, we were allowed to hit each other back then
does “non-combat” have to be specified there
go 492 baby
there are better places for battle bots
last i checked you're not even allowed on the other half of the field these days
arguably the best kind of robots
Idk I think most people assume battlebots when they hear robot competition
our FRC robot played frisbee
personally the whole robotics thing doesnt really interest me much
guh
we had a fully articulated turret
sorry for teh shot to the heart there
Ehh its not for everyone
it wasnt as good as the idea i had pitched day 1 which was a tower bot that sat at a feed chute and launched directly into a goal
It becomes a part time job very quickly in january and febuary through march to april if your team's good
i learned how to machine aluminum doing FRC
Yeah you can do that
im kind of splitting my learning by also doing Automotive
Programmers are in massive need for FRC teams
I learned how to do aluminum and steel
We had some fun toys in our shop
i think its also divine will that me and my friend basically won a school lottery to get into this specific auto tech class
i still have my first machine box
only 6 got accepted
I like manual but yeah CNC is way more practical
haha i forgot about this evil fucking javascript i wrote
i can hear the pomp
If really fun to listen to for 3 hours straight in a small room
fun fact CNC uses very similar methods to 3d printing FDM
when i made the connection it became so simple
let eo = {}
Orders.addRow( order.guid , storeID , order.openedDate , order.modifiedDate , order.promisedDate , ((order||eo).diningOption||eo).guid , ((order||eo).table||eo).guid , ((order||eo).serviceArea||eo).guid , ((order||eo).restaurantService||eo).guid , ((order||eo).revenueCenter||eo).guid , order.source , order.duration , order.estimatedFulfillmentDate , order.numberOfGuests , order.voided , order.voidDate , order.voidBusinessdate , order.paidDate , order.closedDate , order.deletedDate , order.deleted, order.businessDate , ((order||eo).server||eo).guid );```
tasty
those Toast brand cash registers send out malformed JSON and i abused the hell out of type coercion to read it lol
ngl the extent of my learning this year has been like.. methods
theres a ton of shit, but its the basixs
many languages, including javascript, dont actually return booleans from the boolean operators they just return arguments because its faster

and javascript will happily evaluate any datatype as being truthy or falsy
see these words make sense
actually i think my last lesson was substrings and smtjn else
|| returns the left argument if the left argument is truthy otherwise it returns the right argument, this has the same truth table as OR but you can do things like A || B and if A is truthy it will return A otherwise it will return B
yus
in this case i was using it as an extremely fast way to check if parts of json objects existed before accessing their children
their what
json properties can have child properties
ah i see
object:{
parent:{
child1:
child2:
}
}
am i wrong for thinking substrings are just running a piece of string as an array
cause thats waht its doing
in this case if you try to access say child1 and parent is null it throws an exception
strings are arrays usually
they'll be arrays of chars or bytes or whatever under the hood
also i hate how it starts at 0
get used to that!
my teacher brought up using char and said
“do. not. use. this.”
think of it as "how far down the object do i have to go"
oh yea i understand it
just was kinda hard at the start
suddenly counting from 0 up not 1
you have no idea how long it took me to figure out what parsing meant
in old school languages you'd have each element be a fixed width and you'd have a starting address, and then you'd move n times the width down to get element n
so 0 moved no distance and picked up the first element
java doesnt make you do pointer arithmetic, you can be glad for that
i dont know if parsing entered my vocabulary before or after i started programming
my fuckin bete noire in coding right now is text encoding
..parsecs right, like star wars
lol
i cannot get python to stop inserting nonprinting code points between every fucking character
parsing is... unexpectedly hard to define succinctly
its the act of processing data into an understandable format
you might parse a text file into individual words stored in arrays for example
the actual implications of what can be parsed into what get kind of complex
read about tokenizers sometime
tokens are cool
so.. for example, if i took 1 string with 2 words. is parsing just breaking those words into separate strings?
during my first job i had to figure out how to write code lines on a micro sd card so an arduino could parse values into a stepper motor
i think i understand a little better
i made a string of values with tokens in between each one that was taken and plugged into the corresponding stepper motor directions
speed, acceleration and direction
When you compile code your compiler parses everything you wrote into machine code
A couple weeks ago i wrote code that parses data logs from scientific equipment into a csv file
this is the kind of coding i can wrap my head around. stuff that has direct use cases
yes
i dont get high level software
clear end goal for practical use
I keep poking at this fucking thing and unicode is evil
Good thing excel seems to know what to do with it
■
a recent thing i learned alongside methods was instance variables.. which caused a slight headache
Scoping!
Java teaches you strict scoping which is one of the reasons its good for learning
speak more of your magic words wizard man
If you declare a variable inside a code block it doesn't exist outside that block
This is not true of all languages
i see
Or wait in java instance variables are part of the object stuff right
uhm
this.var
Java teaches good object habits as well imo
i believe my teacher described instance vars as the dna of something
height, weight, color, speed
name
Objects are wonderful and make many things so much simpler
I have notes due in 2 hours for a lecture that's 90 minutes long i gotta go lol
i should be doing notes right now but i dug up some other old code and i did learn c++ apparently lol
its generally considered bad practice to write 800 line files
i guess thats not that bad actually
yeah 800 is pretty average, when you start closing in on 3000 you might want to start to reallocate stuff a bit
it really does depend on what you're doing how it makes sense to break down the project into files
i think thats a one file wonder lol
Oh for sure, if the whole project is within that 800 lines it won't hurt separating most of it. I'm just used to working with projects where there are dozens and dozens of files and most of them are in that 600-800 line range
merrivius' elf drawn by @noobovich
better yet why are you sharing Wokehammer Ls, who is a turbo bigoted good for nothing piece of shit
Because he is the L that the comp players get

The strays part are referring to guys like him
Why do comp players always get ppl like him
Goes for every comp game tbh
isn't he the one complaining about comp players here
Nah he's complaining about the game being downgraded for comp players
Implying that GW are casualizing it or something
Or maybe I misread it
Give me a sec
Nope
No wait
No
Fuck I did misread it
Shit
He's saying that comp players are bad
he is upset that the new drop pod has always open doors which makes it a more balanced piece for comp games without the opportunity to model the kit for advantage
Okay now that paradoxically makes me even more confused
95% of the time people who are ""anti-woke"" are usually competitive

also
this isn't even a comp thing lol
WTC and other major circuits have clearly defined stuff on drop pod sillouete
Okay now comp players are just actually catching strays

at the end of the day meh
I play comp, if people hate me over it whatever lol
I also enjoy casual play LOL
so like
Overall this caused me more brain damage
I do think the drop pod not being closeable sucks
i don't like the drop pod, but why take it out on the guys that keep the setting going because they actually buy the minis?
0/10
You can just say that you don't like it and be the end of it
tbh it also is better to build as an actual kit lol
The current drop pod kit SUCKS so badly
and it sucks to run them enmass
oh definitely, the old one is terrible
Nah you gotta blame something else for a preference
I borrowed a few pods from friends + used my own pods
This kit makes me want to get a couple whereas I knew the old one is terrible so I never bothered
for that one rite of war that lets you spam pods
I uh
I couldn't fit them on the bored
*board
this wasn't a small board either lol
them coming in 2's is nice
i will say one thing it can definitely work as a great set piece
yeah, it'll most likely mean the kit is slightly more expensive but you'll get two for cheaper than you used to
...wait I just realized that the website I got the image from is called NFT Calender
Ewwww
Ewww
didn't they also say the rubble is optional
was the weapon systems rules of the old pod did anything
you had a storm bolter, it's negligible
slice these free
or you could alternatively build it into a weapons only drop pod without the transport capacity
and you can make it closed
they were terrible lol
it was a single stormbolter
nah thats the death storm drop pod
yeah it was modular
which is its own kit
I thought they were the same kit
anyways, the storm bolter is pretty much nothing burger
The normal drop pod came with the "deathwind" launcher which uh
it was a gun I guess
was it a forge world upgrade kit, like the baneblade variant they got
12" range
yeah
lemme post what it looks like
right so there was my confusion
tbf
its meant to look weird
its a retrofit
the drop pod internals can be swapped out
Fair enough.
so they can gut the pods internals and then replace it with the weapons array
as a concept these are such a stupid idea to begin with
if you're in a position to drop a semi blind fire automated gun array to an enemy position why not just you know, bombard the area instead
lore wise they get dropped with the drop pod assault
iirc
now granted, still silly
still, you could just bombard first, then drop in
yeah
Imagine if like
its also to like
they drop a gun-pod
40k moment
but it lands on some hill above the enemy
welp at least the ash waste nomads are cool while also being weird
and literally hits nothing
lets gank the marines
lol
it kinda reminds of like
when you call a turret in helldivers
but the beacon bounces
and the turret lands facing a fucking wall
and does nothing
lmao
thats like super realistic
tbh
the missile one
is marginally less awful
because its an indirect fire piece
so you can just use it as a fast deploy artillery piece
The gun one is actually just
what I hate with these is like
dumb though
you always got idiots on lore spheres
@storm jungle did you know that ash waste nomads can bring a techno spirit to the fight
The tarantula is the superior turret
"no no we cant orbitally bombard the enemy, we would damage the infastructure"
NOBODY CARES
Why is that a concern when like collateral damage galore
it's literally one of the imperium's tactics
legions of tank and artillery literally shred the battlefield
I somewhat want SM rules in Munda, and for them to be not stupid OP or what ever SM Fans would want
He’s in carapace but whatever
He’s spooky
But he’s not like
Some horrifying thing
we have Vandoth
We are like 99% sure that this guy is a space marine
Well yes, Blood Angels most likely
If he’s not Blood angels
I will chew on a shot glass
His knifes literally got the legion number
Oh you want a fun derranged theory
maybe a squad marking
I think that vandroth is the same blood angel
From the art of that really old necromunda supplement
or maybe he really likes the number 9
Lol
like big smoke
yeah and he has been in necromunda around and looks like he doesn't even age
maybe he drinks hiver blood to sustain himself for longer
I wouldn't be surprised after all because no one really is gonna tell him to stop
the face blast mcgee
how many people has he drained to stay that young you think
Idfk
Lol
Oh yeah the new league season got revealed
My eyes will be free of the dead dry grass of noxus
what's the region theme
Ionia
Spirit blossom festival specifically
Which ties into the last bit of lore from the noxus season
oh i see, from noxus to place noxus is invading
Where The Black Rose is after a replacement darkin weapon in Ionia
Was invading
The war is over
And they’re not invading again for another 10 or so years lol
wait did noxus win or
No
lose
alright now what are they doing
Noxus is securing its territorial gains and securing the rule of the trifarax. Oh also lots of executions of slave owners and nobles who refuse to give up lol

Noxus is being politically and socially reformed
Slavery is banned, a shift to a meritocracy and republic system
Rather then the absolute monarchy it was
How are you gonna politically and socially reformed an empire that are built on being a war mongering expansionists?
Tldr big changes
By not changing that
And dealing with the other things
aight then
Noxus is a Republic/Meritocracy lol
In modern times
Pre trifarax it was an absolute monarchy
Governors were appointed either by blood or by paying for it
And the society was stratified between commoners, merchants and noble houses
so now people aren't being stomped around as much?
Post trifarax there’s social mobility
I mean yeah
But it’s still noxus
LOL
yeah if you can't bench press 300 lbs bare minimum you're kind of nothing
The big social reforms for the trifarax was no more “get in by blood”, no more slavery, no more child soldiers, and societal mobility via wealth was made possible
The big political one was making Noxus not an absolute monarchy and replacing almost every existing governor of Noxian territories
Hey at least it looks like that there's more freedom for its people even it's not by much
is there a civil war because of the changes or it went pretty smooth
There wasn’t much of a civil war
Because a lot of the military was onboard and swain had a slave revolt lol
Swain just killed any dissenting officers in the Capitol or had them imprisoned
hey better opportunities are better opportunities what can I say
Noble houses were given a chance to join, leave noxus, or die once the coup was in full swing
at least now i can just farm in the middle of nowhere as long as give crops to noxus
A lot happened fast, mostly because swain literally knew everything he needed to know
Because Raum is cheap
What about the secret black rose society did they help or did they just you know like usual just stay back at the shadows
swain the goat
The emperor and empress’s of noxus were being groomed by the black rose lol
They pretty much had total control
Swain tried to uproot the black rose
He did succeed, sorta
Oh yeah they have had like years upon years of basically building the empire to their liking
Also he “executed” Leblanc
But Leblanc’s noble house “fell in line” with Swain
You see
I’m using quotes
Because Leblanc is still the leader of her noble house
The Leblanc executed was a mirror image
i know it's leblanc, she has more backup plans than a chaos sorcerer of Tzeentch
Also that Leblanc is of her older design in LoR
Oh also swain killed his own parents and half of his noble house lol
Because they were part of the black rose
ok while still pretty influential the grip of the black rose has significantly weakened on noxus yeah
Yeah
They no longer have absolute power over the government of noxus
And are much less public
Hey at least that's something
They’re still doing it though. They’ve gotten several governors, high ranking officials, Ect. As assets
yeah but swain is not that hard to lose
guy practically has ears and eyes all over the city
Yeah it’s the birds
LOL
There’s a ton of ravens all over noxus now
Like
A comically large amount
Swain has eyes everywhere
speaking of is his demon trying to kill him or are they like in a symbiotic relationship
No
The demon is subservient
He did something to Raum
And chained them to his will
damn
But Raum seems to not mind
So what you're telling me is that if I can somehow replicate that process to fiddlesticks
I can have him as my own personal subservient demon
i will probably die trying but hey the idea is there
Well Raum was starved
Lol
They were being intentionally starved by the black rose
Swain took advantage of that
Raum doesn’t seem to mind the deal seeing as the one specific Raven that’s alway with swain doesn’t mine being pet or held. Or generally being treated as a pet lol
to be fair swain probably treated him way better than the black rose
Well yeah
Like 100 times better
Tbh
Do the ravens that make up Raum even need to eat
Swain feeds the one that’s always with him
But it’s like weird fucked up glowing “seeds”
The way I see it is that the main Raven he has is the one that absorbs all of the demon food
That makes sense
And somehow just like transfers the energy to the other ones
But yeah there’s weird creepy birds all over noxus now LOL
Well they look normal I guess, aside from the red eyes
But they’re defintely not normal birds
fuck you mean normal
Oh usually just one set of eyes are open
yeah this is the same empire that rides giant lizards to war
six eyed birds aint that weird
Look at this thing it’s so cute
i want to pet a Noxian Basilisk
If I got an irl animal from runeterra it would be a drakehound
It’s like a dog
But it lives around as long as a human
And it’s sort of a dragon
Basilisk are cool giant lizards
oh also from noxus yeah?
god why do noxus get the cool war beasts
My favorite war beast is the Demacian silverwing tbh
Drakehounds aren’t technically warbeasts only
They’re pets
They’re literally just irl dog
But lizard/dragon
are those the eagles?
hey playing fetch with a giant lizard dog sounds like a great idea
Drakehounds are also omnivores like irl dogs
oh shit Tuskbeasts are also cool
Silverwings are ironically obligate carnivores
Which is funny
Because giant bird or giant lizard
god noxus has the entire zoo on their army
really giant armored war elephants
you already have giant lizards as cavalry
They’re war elephants but actually effective
Lol
Horses are also common in pretty much every region except the frejliord
Also piltover and zaun I guess
But I’d be more concerned if there was a horse in a fucking city
(please ignore the centuries of them doing that)
they probably use hex tech vehicles or hex tech robot creatures as mounts
