It basically does exactly what you WANT with the AL which is great.
Theres no deep philosophy or some message, its literally them being assholes and fucking with people as you follow the warband's leader.
Its a very fun novel, it helps that Brooks exactly as ever knows what to do with the faction hes writing about while not taking the setting so seriously.
