I think so, she started from the era were comics were a little of softcore thing.
yeah blade hates morbius
good gay ship material
because morbius is a vampire and so is blade, but blade kills them
and morbius kills them for his gain
and also kills humans occasionally
so blade is a hypocrite
but hes cool
because hes got a blade and a coat
Depending on which version of blade though.
Blade didn't chose to be a Vamp though
In most case, Blade and Morbius are nice to each other.
So him being a Vamp killing Vamp doesn't really make him a hypocrite, if that was what you meant
blade and morbius are nice to each other eventually
Blade still needs human blood to function in the comics.

well its a good ship i guess, since morbius is a conflicted doctor kinda, and blade is a vampire killing oneliner edgelord
He is not immune to all of the vamp down side.
And Morbie helped him to quell that need.
forgot frankienstines monster is canon in mravel universe
it is?!
yeah
Yes
i never came across it
maybe i did
idr
at this point ive seen frankenstein everywhere
There is also a team named "Legion of Monsters", where they are all monster hunters.
ah yes, the blood angels, thousand sons, generic marines, and space wolves
40k truly is diverse
I still like the thousand Sons for their drip
Egyptian drip always rocks
i love the bonereapers
I even love arch kavalos zandtos
and theres nothing particularly lovable about him
if a skeleton has a cod piece its peak
that i have: stormcasts and kruleboyz and fec
i want idoneth
idoneth are my fav elves across all 3 settings
based, do you use gate breaker ?

in bonereapers
you can do that?
gate breaker is the best sob in my opinion

it was like that last edition too
oh do you plan to get a zombie dragon?
idk how good ossiarch monsters are
i think ill pick it up for fec
Im only gonna get some idoneth
because my friend has them, and they look incredible
and mostly I just like elf lore that I like
ah
instead of ulthuan civil war , wood elves, space dark elves, and meme avatars of khaine
idoneth core conflict is really cooool
yee
also I always like naval and water based things, because Ive spent a lot of my life on coastal areas and on boats
and idoneth deepkin cities sound so interesting
and the general eldritch vibes of living in the deeps
plus its always nice when the entire origin of your race starts with telling teclis to fuck off
Probably not possible because points.
But imagine an all avatar of Khaine army
If you win, it's lore accurate
If you lose, it's lore accurate

LMAOO
is the ritual to actually turn the exarch into avatar of khaine still a secret
You just have like a bunch of models
You pull out a homebrew rule
"all of them have as much HP as a guardsman squad"
speaking of khaine, i havent even looked at a single daughter of khaine model yet

I can fix her-
Trust
Trust

Just as the sun will rise tomorrow
It is assured
That I can fix-
10 seconds later
...
greenskins and daughers of khaine
So my dick is gon-
Yeah
Dw I can get an augment anyways. Just gotta call a tech priest
...
5000 AQUILIAS???

Actually joke aside. Does the Imperium actually have free healthcare
Or is it like
Privatized/paid
time to ponder your future by the beach
The Idoneth Deepkin will deliver you salvation
Like I get that either way the healthcare is probably closer to a medieval plague doctor than an actual reputable doctor
free?!
But y'know
I dont know but Im assuming free imperium healthcare is harvesting your organs and turning you into a servitor
there, your cancers been cured
Like there is no standardized currency
So if you're a guardsman and aren't injured enough for servitorization
You got shot in the leg
Managed to survive
Limped back to a medical tent
Will it be like
Deducted from your ""pension""
(note the quotations)
Or is it "free"
What if someone has brain cancer?
... actually that is a good question since like
its not someone, most imperium leadership actively has brain cancer
Servitorization requires some of the brain left
And if there is a tumor. That's gonna be a problem
Big E mercy it is then?
Like, if we kill all of the homeless, there is no more homeless.
Maybe
Or maybe it depends on where the tumor is?
no you can probably continue in your job with brain cancer, folks wont notice your decisions are erratic
That's the universal healthcare of the imperium.
You can't be sick if you are not living.
LMAO
To be honest, I believe that only applies if you're like actually dying
Because like
You still need to fucking work
Turning into Nurgle cultist? Not in my watch.
And it's more efficient to at least stop them from dying
it might not be more efficient to prevent death tbh
just get a new human for the job
or avoid servitor status if not prevent death
Depends.
Like if it's a random factory worker. Replacement is easy.
If it's a manager. A little bit more hard to replace
imperium is bloated with middle management bureaucracy, theres probably a benefit to letting some managers die
Maybe lmao
Or maybe the person that is dying is apparently the only guy who knows how to use the printing presses
Gman and the old Terra high lords...
Because that can happen
it can
I remember a story of like.
A IT employee who was an old guy
Like he was only there
Because he wanted to work
And he knew how to manage some ancient programming
The company disrespected him so he left
...and no nobody knew how the system worked
Like I can imagine that happens in the Imperium a lot
Some Magos gets disrespected
i have heard similar stories tbh
I mean I am sure that actually happened on an important scale somewhere
You talk as if everyone thinks for the good of the Imperium.
in the imperium
Basically in general how do I say this
"People work hard, putting their blood, sweat, and tears. To ensure that if a potential disaster comes, nothing will happen"
The majority of them only think for themselves.
Or to simplify it
Even many of the warriors only care for glory in battle, and don't give a fuck about anything else.
Like Engineers basically worked overtime
Near Y2k
Repairing most systems
To ensure that instead of chaos
Nothing happened
The only reason why Nothing Happens is due to competent people ensuring that
And I respect it
I think the imperium citizens arent reasoning it all that much, and its also not true for them necessarily
they see disaster quite often
Tbf for Imperium Citizens
They probably wouldn't notice unless they're like
In the upper hive
Imperium nobles panicking over Chaos Incursion
Meanwhile in the underhive:
"Did something happen "
"Well the monster that ate my neighbor was redder than usual"
"Neat."
ironically
knight worlds dont seem so bad to live in
yes your a feudal peasant
but like, the weather seems pleasant
and its not a giant congested slum in an underhive
you just gotta farm in a field everyday
I mean agriworlds are more like
Ohio with just
Corn fields
Snd
Nothing else
yeah thats paradise in the imperium
The pollutants are replaced with fertilizer run off and grox dung
...so a different type of pollutant
Still the same effect
Like legitimately some Nurgle Marines went to an agri planet
Looked around
And was like
"This shit fucking sucks. I don't know if we can even spread our shit around because nobody will notice a difference"

Like if you make a Nurgle Marine genuinely think
"I don't know how I can make this worse"
There is a problem

Also Knight Worlds often uh
Borrow most concepts from medieval stuff in general
Including the sexism
So uh
It will suck ass even more than usual if you're a woman
At least in a hive world
Most of the time no one would care about your gender
You all have an equal amount of suffering
my city of simgar is literlaly an idoneth enclave mixed with a city of sigmar
its great
Also with all the rebellions. I genuinely wonder if there was a rebellion centered around like
Hating taxes
And just hating taxes
Like that's it
That's the main goal
Just go to pleasure worlds instead and forget about the rest.
Unless if you're a worker there

Depending on what kind of worker.
Basically it's similar to working in most tourist countries
That being
Great if you're visiting
Not so great if you're actually living there
Fun fact, ratlings come from paradise worlds
Just work in marketing and you are good to go.
No idea why they evolved to that
As R Lee Ermey once said. “To me you are ALL equally worthless!” Which is my summary of human social life in 40k
Being a Rogue Trader is as good as you gonna get if you want to live a tolerable life in the Imperium
Even then, you'll probably have to hide your Xeno companions inside a fucking shipping crate temporarily if you are expecting customers
Lmao
I just like it because of the measure of freedom you can have, which is an even greater luxury than most Humans in the Imperium
True
You can always just not work with xenos but where's the fun in that
I would at least like trading with moral xenos
Honestly, outcast Tech Priests would love you also
Because like
"You mean I can experiment with Xenos tech?"
"... yeah?"
"Where do I sign?"
Also
Damn!!!
"moral"
bro considering the humans you are gonna deal with I dont think it matters

MONEYYYYY
Would Rogue Traders be more racist or less racist than normal
Lmao
Depends on the trader
theres ones that are Inquisitor levels of unhinged and some that are reasonable
I mean like
Actually talking with marginalized people usually makes them less racist
remember Traders are literally built on the Original Character formula for you to play around with.
Like I remember a story of like a Black Man actually going around talking to KKK members
Even high ranking ones
And actually making them well
Turn their lives around and becoming not racist
Obviously he got threatened, assaulted, etc
Maybe a Rogue Trader kinda has a reverse situation
...
Then again Chaos Xenos exist
So

I guess it just depends (tm) like Dilara said
It feels weird but also makes sense that xenos are susceptible to chaos
Yeah theres no set-in-stone rogue trader really
But I definitely think the ratio of "racist" is more equal compared to most imperial professions
Any living being is susceptible to chaos
no one is really untouchable
There's one rogue trader whose entire ship crew and retinue are gold-plated servitors
Honestly I like to think that it's varied in terms of difficulty.
Like aliens think differently?
(shocking)
And he's very starved of conversation
Nah some straight up worship them as gods.
Race/Biology doesnt really matter
Like for example, for an asexual Hivemind, Slaanesh would probably struggle in enticing them
Yeah but again it depends
Rak’gol my favorite chaos xenos
What's their deal?
Yeah again, I think maybe some Xenos are more suspectible to some gods and less to others. Depending on their thought process
Ofc Chaos Worshipping Xenos exist but like
Yeah again theres no set standard
Y'know
they just dont get mention much aside from fluff-text because gotta advertise tabletop factions first and foremost.
Also do daemons canonically take different forms for other races or are they always the biped humanoids (barring monster-type ones)
Every Xenos is different
AND THAT MEANS THEY'RE BAD. SUFFER NOT THE XENOS TO LIIIII-
Jokes aside, again, insert deep as a puddle phrase here.
I do genuinely wish we got more Xenos lore and such since I actually like the alien factions in 40k
Which means that I consistently suffer

Like saruthi are these freak ass octopeds whose existence is partially in the 4th dimension or something, making them and anything they construct torturous to witness
But like... Aliens in a Grimdark Galaxy are fascinating
And they are a chaos xenos
And I genuinely wish they explored it more
"AYO check out this non-eucluidean geometry"
(Unintelligible screams)
human pulls their eyes out and screams
It'd just be funny if they weren't even chaos influenced though
They just like constructing casually physics destroying buildings and statues
Everybody thinks they are because all they know is that their buildings fucking kill people
I think chaos is actually what gave them the weird geometry stuff
Again, the T'au are both cool and disappointing to me
Like the Auxiliaries are a cool way to introduce different life forms.
And yet they just
Don't
Use them
Why
They're a wholly tainted race whose entire existence is chaos because of a relic their society came across
You have giants that are as big as Titans
And are good at fighting
But don't use them for battle
Like
????

I mean that is genuinely cool
Although I do wonder if they're like
Undivided
Like INCOMPREHENSIBLE geometry sounds like Tzeentch
But y'know
Not sure, there was never a specific one mentioned and it didn't seem like any characteristics of the big four appeared. I would guess Tzeentchian
Yeah
But that's the only clue
Again, it would be funny if they were actually chill
But making torturous things is Slaaneshi
It's just that their existence makes it so that
It kills people
Like I think my favorite trope are just
Eldritch Horrors that aren't actually meaning to be horrors
But their mere existence accidentally causes chaos and turmoil
I like the idea of it
Reminds me of that one movie where these aquatic sort of squid aliens are peaceful and talk in ink sprays
Not super eldritch but it was a cool idea
The whole movie they're trying to understand each other
Oh that movie was great
Fucking loved it
There was also another example
I think it was Look Outside, specifically The Visitor
Oh man that shit fucked me up
Like damn
Semi obsessed over the endings
Which is how I came across it lol
Unfathomably powerful, unimaginably large. Just seeing it literally twists your body and turns you into a parody of what you are.
But apparently the Visitor was... entirely unaware that life outside of it existed
In their point of view, they were like
And is potentially larger than the entire fucking known universe.
"Oh cool a blue rock. I'm gonna stare at it."
It observing things actively changes shit
And then once it realizes that it's mere existence caused millions of deaths and extreme suffering, it was basically like
"Oh my god what the fuck have I done?"
And immediately fucks off
Breaks so many rules of physics and reality just by observing…
I feel bad for it tbh
Like imagine staring at something cool
Only for one of the things to talk to you and they're like
"Please stop staring. You're literally causing millions to turn into monsters."
Yea even though I do find it horrifying I don’t hate it, it literally had no idea.
It is horrifying precisely because it legitimately had no idea
It didn't have any malice
It is even implied it doesn’t have sentient thought until you do the right things to expose it to the concept of sentience
In a sense, we actually gave it awareness
Which is interesting
It learned from "lower" beings
And on that note, the less we talk about the hamster endings, the better. Those are just borderline grimderp cruel.
Some have also commented that the good ending requires you to ignore the pursuit of truth to a certain degree
Which is also interesting as well
Selective ignorance
My favorite

Indeed
Applicable even to 40k
You just need to know enough about Chaos
Without going goo goo gaa gaa crazy over it.
Honestly I remember a story from 4chan ironically enough.
Basically trying to think about how Eldritch gods see us
Basically they said that it was equivalent to seeing a bunch of ants doing a circle
You're curious so you look down
Only for a tiny voice to yell out
"CTHULHU I SACRIFICE A WOMAN FOR YOU!!"
And you think
"Oh this shit is interesting. I'm gonna see what happens."
They ask for a favor, you try to do it
Only for you to accidentally like
Crush more than you were supposed to because you're so big
And they're like
"Oh my god what have I done??"
Everything is, indeed, relative.
Like some gods are cruel. And they might be equivalent to like
Kids using a magnifying glass to burn ants
And interestingly enough
In the Lovecraft mythos, a lot of Gods ARE children
So

yeah in the classic lovecraft/bierce stuff the elder gods are just so foreign to our reality that they're incompatible with us and it
and they're not children in age they just have a parent (azathoth, the blind idiot god)
Although it is funny to imagine like imagine Cthulhu actually being a little kid in a sandbox
You know on the topic of Look Outside, what I think is a missed opportunity, is the ending with the stay inside the house 15 days.
You have 124 super mutated Demi-mutant-gods walking around.
I wonder what those people were…
Would also be interesting to see how mutations are affected by various careers/mentalities not shown in the actual game.
(What would a musician become? A ballet dancer? A gymnast? An electrical engineer? Would someone with schizophrenia break up into multiple copies?)
The scene where somebody stabs him with a boat is paralleled by a small insect throwing a pebble at him
"Ow!"
any time an elder god actually appears in a story its a full "YOU CANNOT GRASP THE TRUE FORM" moment
Tbf red ant bites can sting
It is somewhat relieving in a way though because like
An insect can kill a person. Especially if they're venomous.
Theoretically that means that we still have a chance
Unless again, it's a Look Outside level of Eldritch fuckery
its really more like uh
Is there any times where an avatar of khaine doesn't get destroyed?
do you know about flatland
Like uh
Oh yeah
we're talking about lovecraft not 40k despite the channel lol
^
Oh wow a 20% win rate
Better than I expected
When it's on the table top yes ?
I misread elder for eldar
a better example would be a square trying to bite a cube
Oh.
...
I mean if you got a bit of skin bit through that'd still hurt like a bitch LMAO
you'd think but a square has 0 thickness so the bite would have no size
Cain books proving they're the best by having the protagonist basically run for his life
Seriously though like
I think we genuinely forget that an Avatar of Khaine, if just going by description and stated power
Would be absolutely terrifying to see
Also it constantly vomits molten metal so it should be too hot to even go near
Mortarion didn't lose this one for once
Like
Y'know how the colossal titans in AoT basically like scalds a person's skin off if you get too close?
average iron warriors csm
That's honestly how I imagine an Avatar of Khaine would do to like any creature nearby
Like the sheer heat venting off causes your skin to fucking melt
Also what I imagine is it's defense against like
Fodder bitch boys
Like those weird mini Tyranids, Necron Scarabs
...
Guardsmen
apparently it literally melts projectiles before they hit it
and its immune to heat weapons
Yeah I don't know how Space Marines can even get near tbh
Like their armor should fucking start to melt away
Are gauss weapons heat weapons?
no
I think they are partially based off of like
Actual Gauss guns
Only partially though
His hands were burned
necron gauss guns are just disintegrators
I'll put that on snowflake primarch biology
when a primarch is involved you can just go "something something latent psychic power something something emperor genes" yeah
Don't forget the "demi god" tag.
but yeah real gauss guns use permanent magnets to shoot a projectile outwards, necron gauss guns are luigis mansion molecule vaccums
Apparently the Necron guns do have one similarity with actual theoretical Gauss guns. They're actually both magnetic and use magnetic force to their advantage.
It's just that while traditional Gauss guns use magnetic force to shoot a projectile. The Necrons use magnets to disassemble your molecules.
The Imperium only calls them Gauss because that's the closest thing they have.
real gauss guns are kinda silly they're basically unrestrained newton's cradles
Gauss gun is electromagnetic.
necron gauss guns are gauss guns the same way a CRT tv is a gauss gun
Bro his armor should be half melted at least
which is to say not really
Necron weapons are weird and silly.
yeah they're barely explained at all afaik
besides that they vaccum all the molecules apart
with green lightning
Like, if it hit your gun, it will de-atomize it up to you if you still hold on it.
However, if you throw your gun to the ground, then it only de-atomizes the gun and not the ground around it...
i think that part is totally inconsistent lol
sometimes they blow holes in stuff sometimes it creeps along the target, who knows
I might argue about uranium stuff yesterday, but that necron shit, fuck no, not in 10'000 years.
Apparently Magnetic force can influence the arrangement and behavior of molecules.
Although we don't have the power or the tech. Theoretically, with enough force, it is possible that we can make a magnetic field powerful enough to start disrupting molecules
So basically Necrons shoot a really condensed magnetic field
Fucking magnets, how do they work

this is technically true yes
once the magnetic flux starts imparting energies greater than the ionization energies of atoms it can start breaking them down to plasma
however my point was just that the only thing the two gauss guns have in common is magnetism
and even there a real gauss gun uses permanent magnets but a necron one would reqiuire (i imagine, we really dont know how they work lol) a variable magnet, presumably an electromagnet of a science fantasy variety
At REALLY high magnetic fields, apparently molecules can literally deform and look like cigars.
Apparently this is a quote from what happens if you get near one of the most magnetic things possible, a magentar. Which is a rare type of neutron star.
"That drastic change in shape would interfere with basic chemistry, causing the normal forces and interactions between atoms and molecules in the body to break down. “The first thing you would notice is your entire nervous system, which is based on electrical charges moving throughout your body, is going to stop working,” says Sutter. “And then you basically dissolve.”
That sounds awfully similar to a Gauss Flayer
...so technically the Necron Gauss Guns might shoot a projectile.
It's just that projectile might be a mini magentar.
i dunno about the cigar thing that doesnt make conceptual sense to me, but in extremely strong magnetic fields the electrons of an atom are physically ripped off of it and electrons are the things that do bonding
(plasma is the state of matter where atoms are stripped of their electrons creating positive ions and free electrons)
This is at like extremely powerful magnet fields. Like Star level
Although I only got that through like
Research I've done just now
So
Like
It could definitely be wrong
i just mean its easier to tear a molecule apart than to substantially deform its electron geometry
Still though, with the casual bullshit Necrons do. Along with how sadistic they can be.
Their guns probably do deform electron geometry just so that you can feel the agony
(biochemist)
It is just GW putting random words together.
when i say easier i mean "energetically favorable" you'd have to force the molecules to not break apart somehow
It's similar to how the Daleks can disintegrate you instantly
But they just make their power setting to just barely kill you
So they can watch you scream in agony
It is also extremely energy inefficient as weapon.
really strong magnetic fields tearing molecules apart is a super common phenomenon we do it in labs constantly
I think it is described as breaking apart molecules
So it's probably just a condensed magnetic field tearing molecules apart
oh make no mistake the necron guns are science fantasy
Yeah I know. This is mainly just for fun
Then again, it turns back into this #40k-lore-chat message
Like I don't believe we have the power to fucking flay somebody's skin with magnets
no we totally can we would just flay everything else within that radius
at least everything heavier than carbon
Huh
It's just inefficient
Then
tremendously
theres a reason we mostly make plasma in confined devices using heavy gasses
Then again the Necrons literally had people living in dirt huts while they had actual FTL spaceships. I don't think they care too much
In the Tithes show, the UM holding the gun when he was getting de-atomized. His gun is gone with him. In the next episode, the BT shield got hit by it, he just threw the shield away and the beam didn't affect anything else but the shield.
Lesson, make armour out of floor.
sometimes the guns just make holes too because the authors dont have time to read each other lol
I will always take the weakest feat...
might be gun to gun since theres like 10 different flavors of gauss weapon
Because at least it is more consistent.
I mean if you can go FTL
I'm sure a gun that atomizes everything touching the thing that you shoot would be pretty inconvenient for precision scenarios
Like hostages
that's not really a concern for the necrons
Casually make a weapon that can literally make stars go supernova
Granted, not common for necros but
I don't think they care if their weapons are inefficient
i love that necrons have warpless FTL and they hate the warp but they WILL NOT SHARE
everyone else has to use hell
Honestly considering how badly they treated peasants back then
Probably happened approx. None of the time
keep punching holes in reality guys also dont do that but do do that
Like the Necrontyr were legit just assholes
Somehow even worse than humanity
Somehow
That is a fucking accomplishment

Being turned into robots actually made them better

they're based on the largely debunked image of the Old Kingdom of Egypt as a slave state
is their at all a universal currency for the imperium is gold still worth anything or
I could genuinely believe that they made ""Gauss"" weapons purely to torture. Because feeling your skin, muscles, and bone deteriorate would be painful @winged jacinth
No.
They basically run off of barter
So yes Gold would have value
i dont think there's a universal currency? the macroeconomy of the imperium is pretty unexplored
the thing about gold is that theres actually quite a lot of accessible gold in space
With how much gold the Imperium uses. It definitely still has value if only as a building material
Similar to how there is a Sand black market today
thats how they can gild literally everything i assume
I can imagine there being a gold market because of the industry of building all that gilded shit
Most of the Imperium wider system work on the Administratum.
So I guess they're the one that take care of of most thing
gold is probably valued for decoration and electronics manufacture still but doesnt have the weird valuation cult modern day does
the real currency of the imperium is human lives~
I wondered about making like
A Khornate PMC
Basically pay them and they'll fight for you. They are completely willing to use Xenos tech but are mostly human.
a big reason gold is expensive today is because people invest in gold and it cyclically maintains its own value
It doesn't matter if the T'au, Eldar, whatever
Pays them
If they pay enough
For a job
They will do their job
And complete it
The only code of honor is that once they accept a job. They cannot be bargained to move away from it
They will complete the job and appease the blood god
worlds or systems are almost independent polities in most ways so they probably have their own fiat currencies and the few people that trade between systems do so in a primarily bartered fashion
The shield was hit by a necron destroyer... so I imagine the "guass gun" flavor on it should be somewhat more powerful than the warrior portable ones...
But there is one problem, and Ironically it's about what we're talking about.
Wtf would they even accept as payment
Since the Imperium doesn't have a universal currency
Like I am genuinely having a hard time thinking about what they would accept
I was thinking of like
Supplies and Men.
Like they ask for people as payment
i imagine a theoretical trader with a 2 system route would have fiat accounts on both worlds but only use them to exchange cargos and acquire things locally
And also technology
khornates would probably accept sacrifices as payment
or if they have access to something like butchers nails, as new members
Yeah I was thinking like they would accept people for either
A) more soldiers to train
B) sacrifices
and then yeah guns and bullets and bombs and stuff
But I genuinely wonder like
"Would they accept raw resources like metal?"
Like would a PMC accept that?
not unless they looted a factory ship or something
I thought about them having an RnD department. New ways to figure out to
KILL MAIM BURN
khornates dont seem like the research and development types
Also would give me an excuse to make designs
but i could see them manufacturing weapons if they're based out of a looted factory ship
True but War is partially about well
Cunning and ingenuity.
if you want to do it efficiently
Like War causes new weapons to be made
the WE do have strategy books
Yeah I think pre-heresy they were generally described as.
Being good at planning but having trouble actually having things go to plan
theres no reason they couldnt just hang out with hereteks
no
even post heresy lol
the WE have really good apothocaries
and strategists
downside THE NAILS ARE BITING
this is to parody how much you wanna kill your average tabletop player when you are playing World Eaters IRL
actually for your idea, them teaming up with hereteks to sieze a mechanicus ship to be based out of giving them research and manufacturing abilities would be cool
Yeah they had insanely effectively rate of creating marines
"Hmm.. I was thinking of attacking this spot. This would be a less expected avenue o- THE NAILS ARE BITING."
"RAAAA-"
...I can't believe I haven't thought about that
Stealing that idea
If their primarchs had given a fuck they would have been some of the largest legions
that would make a good tabletop premise too
the loyalists were playing chess while the traitors were playing RTS
you dont lose the geneseed if you fuck up making a marine right
But not good effective RTS
I either want
A Hive City management sim
Or a SM Chapter management sim
Just unit spam bullshit until you win
so that's the limiting factor rather than success rate
its always amused me how theres always more CSM they never run out
i know they make more but you only ever hear from ones alive since the heresy
yoinking
Look if the devs didn’t want me to upgrade literally everything and then attack they shouldn’t have put all those shiny upgrades on the structures
Its explained but like at the end of the day you need armored guys to fight each other.
Also occasionally the Chaos Gods revive somebody if they think they're funny.
That's why they revived only ONE of the twins in Darktide
“Some fuck, reduces pierce damage by 5%? The fuck is pierce damage? Sure whatever.”
And not the other because they're dicks
Marines before istvaan strapping extra armor on
i like to think that the chaos gods intentionally reserve heresy-era traitor marines for narrative roles
Honestly the funniest thing is imagining that like
In 40k they actually see shit like weapon and armor stats. And it's just treated as normal
God
Istvaan is so funny
The loyalists had worse armor, worse bolters, worse bolter ammo
And the worst positioning imaginable lol
"Hey guys, how's it goi-"
"KILL."
"bro what-"
istvaan massacre
Still managed to take out way more traitors than they should have
Do you think they armored the marines they were sending to die on istvaan 3 in MK2 and 3 lol
dont they virus bomb istvaan after the betrayal
Since almost all the traitors had MK4
Weren't the loyalists more numerous or I forgor
I love when Ferrus pushed to Fulgrim they were like “Wait he can’t do that.”
why didnt they start with that
At 3 yeah
It is also funny because it is the big E who allowed those traitor legions to get better equipment first.
They wanted to make the loyalists suffer at Istvaan V lol
Was literally all the traitor legions
me when i sacrifice large numbers of soldiers to make a point
And it was a declaration of war
Vs three loyalists
A) 40k moment, land battles need to be done.
B) It was funny
"hmm should we commit thousands and thousands of difficult to replace troops or like 5 cyclotronic torpedoes"
love that map
Tbf
Chaos
good thing some made it out of the fortnite encirclement
That is their entire game
It’s so good imo

It’s such a good map
Its not the same without Alan Bligh
They had good building skills luckily
the new rulebooks are so bland lol
Yeah i love the basebuilding bits
nothing sus here
We’re just uh, setting up artillery yeah
To bombard the traitors
Totally hahahaaaaa
Drop a little funny nuke
A little bit of trolling
A smidgen of tomfoolery
It’s ok the Alpha legion and Word Bearers are over there

"The Alpha Legion are trustworthy. They'll protect us!"
Oh also they couldn’t virus bomb the planet, Horus and Fulgrim were on it
oh i forgot there was a chaos sandwich and that was why they couldnt casually glass the planet
yeah
They also wanted to confirm kills
They tried to get Ferrus to join them
The traitors had setup defenses that orbital attacks wouldn’t work on
3 traitor legions were already there as bait
me playing total war with my friend as hes neckdeep in the enemy lines as I aim my hellstorm batteries on his position

so there is 2 Istvaan battles right?
Yeah
Its entire answer is just spectacle.
Four I think actually
3 and 5
how did that happen?
WB weren’t in full numbers
First one was to purge loyalists in traitor legions, second one was a meeting gone wrong
oh yeah there were DG there too
like, you cant have an Anakin/Obiwan fight if Anakin just blew up Obi up in space somewhere, no "YOU WERE MY BRO ANNIE" moment
EC, SoH, DG, World Eaters
Fulgrim and Horus asked Ferrus to join
Cerrhs
Ferrus said fuck off no and attacked
ah
Horus: "Hey Ferrus, do you wanna join?"
Ferrus: "YOU'VE KILLED OUR BROTHERS!"
Horus: "I think he might not want-"
Fulgrim: "Nah trust I can totally convince my bro."
Ngl it would have been slightly less bad
cant wait for 2026 when ferrus mannus shows up again with a metal head
If Dorn had chosen better uh reinforcments lol
also 2026 is gonna be Leman
Tbf it was all so orchestrated, they were so fucked from the start
turns out his real brain was in the hands all along....
If it isn’t GW has some absurd self control
like confirmed?
Even if Dorn didn’t pick the secret traitors they prolly would still be there tbh
But likely
ok
It lines up
they could pull some revolver ocelot liquid snake shit considering his hands were necrodermis
With release order
Lmao god sakes
"I LIVE ON. THROUGH THIS ARM."
They also had the benefit of the chaos gods literally fucking with communication and travel
if he comes back think he will still be loyal?
russ or vulkan are the most likely returnees next i think
I have a feeling
yes
russ is too epic to not be loyal
invest in wolfe stocks NOW
It’s actually insane how hard to traitor threw tbh
The Iron Hands actually did try this if I remember correctly
theres no need for renegade primarchs, you gotta think from a tabletop perspective
not a lore one
its how GW plans these things
true
SW players would get upset
Also it’s stupid
or whatever tf
Like why would he be renegade
plus the SW did just get a sick ass new line up
Besides le subverted expectations
and yeah in an extremely practical sense they want to sell russ models to SW players for 160 USD
the Lion is the closest equilavent rn
hes still loyal but hes still going around Nihilus executing/replacing governments
its very funny
He’s busy thinking of hard ass lines to drop
the lion is batman to gulliman's superman
(edgy)
People may hate the primarchs coming back but I love when the loyalists ones come back and just see the state everything is in
Perturabo during the Siege of Terra be like
"WHY ARE Y'ALL THROWING!"
"We're not. We are actually making good headway. You're just salty because logic doesn't work."
"THERE IS LITERALLY NO STRATEGY HOW IS THIS WORKING???"
EC snorts drugs made out of human beings
"Whuh?"
"...I'm outta here."
Lion works best when he gets to go around killing people
TLDR: "I dont care who you are. I dont care what you are. You better change your ways, or change your Chapters 🙏 "
And he’s in a target rich environment
at this point most of the setting revolves around them fandom-wise so it was always inevitable
think Russ will still hate religion?
Yes
Probably
Yes
but do nothing about it
Lion still hates it
i love that the lore for the lion returning is that he was being tended to by mysterious jawas in a secret room
Guilliman doesn’t as much
that will be fun
Russ will do his own thing probably
Gman sees it as a tool no?
Although I expect we’ll see a much older Russ
those jawas have had a hard job
Probably very different
not a hate or love thing just a practical thing
Lion literally wants to slaughter all the ecclisarchs lol
Gman is just trying to staple things together. I don't think he cares
When he meets them
Will he do it though?
yeah just like Dorn afaik
Lion prefers to just keep moving to avoid causing incidents
Yeah
Yeah but thats codex fluff
He will probably try to but Guilliman will have to hold him back lmao
Guilliman can’t do shit
it seems like the wrong time to destroy the imperial cult in his half of the galaxy to me
He avoids dealing with people directly cause he hates it
Lions in a dark room
Definitely not.
With everyone else locked up with him
Thanks for killing this random ecclesiarch no one cares about Lion King. Can you do the same with the Adeptus Terra
yeah thats the agreed consensus
💀
they've got a line drawn down the middle of the galaxy brady bunch style
He’s too busy teleporting behind you
he will want to but he wont because then who will the SoB serve?
the Imperium is basically unsalvagable
Nothing personnel kid
I hope Russ comes back mellowed out like Lion because the space wolf development has been the only space marine chapter development I've been interesting in
Hes the guy beside me?
Nihlus is totally fucked

i think russ will come back having replaced exuberance with grimness and it will be kinda annoying but fine
"Lion. I know that they're bad, but you have to tolerate the-"
"I WILL FUCKING KILL THEM ALL."
"Listen. I'm happy you're back but please don't fucking kill one the last people helping me manage this bloated shithole-"
I hope/think we’ll get a Rune King Russ tbh
Lion is too nice
"TRAITORS! TRAITORRRSSS!!"
They could go a lot of ways
But the we don’t really need another
MONTHS OF SHAME 2 BABY! ! ! ! ! !
Melee boy primarch
The Jawas lost the asshole part of his brain while repairing him
UTINI
Psyker Primarch would be more interesting
That was literally the best part
I don’t get why people want nice people
Plus Space Wolf psyker powers are sick and have some cool visuals
I WANT VIOLENCE
because humans are the good guys and need to be relatable
I WANT PROBLEMS
i wonder how the space wolves will reconcile their legend of Ragnarök with the Wolf King's return
Don't worry, surely they'll find it
Having that be primarch tier would be awesome
And Lion will be as right as rain
Also having Russ fight Magnus in a psyker duel would be peak
This is why Cawl and Vahl are the best new imperium characters introduced
Wolf Timenarok is happening right now
they see the Rift Era as the end times
oh god they have a modified ragnarok myth? how'd i miss that
ah so the wolf time is now
Tbf, we do like a lot of characters because they're relatable. Even in 40k
The good guy part made my soul splinter off for a sec

Lmao yeah
The wolftime
Lul
and of course its called Wolf Tme
Morvenn Vahl is gatekeeping you from living
Vahl is great
Chance Time!
Vahl gaslights you, gatekeep you and girlbosses
Gaslighting you and setting you on fire
Is it really bad
Girlboss
with drip that good fuck it let them name everything with wolf
It’s meh
one helldrake keeps an entire planet's surface contested
Guh
Guh
just like with Leontus
it explores nothing regarding her role
lol
generic heresy line
Fantastic
Yeah it’s so lazy
i cant find a good source for what the modifications entail
She’s an actual derranged psychopath
She fucking grapples with some CSM warlord
SHES A GODDAMN HIGH LORD
I knew we were cooked the moment I read her short story
ngl the helldrakes are very unassuming for how insane their lore is
Yeah but like
but presumably odin's role is filled by the god emperor which means russ can be Víðarr
ITS 1 FUCKING METAL BIRD
AGAINST AN ENTIRE IMPERIAL FLEET LANDING
WHAT IS THIS MARVEL RIVALS?
Like come on guys
yeah it is
Generic Chaos Cultists. My favorite.
it's like a cooler version of the baby carriage
i hope russ comes back with an incredible boot and it lets him stomp on daemons
i just mean, you wouldnt think a metal fire bird was the result of a loyalest space marine pilot being captured and fused to his craft
that would be the sickest ragnarok deep cut
...
Why does he have a fucking toy castle behind his head
40k design
You ignorant slut
the more you look like a cathedral the stronger you are
thats why they make titans like that
its because its badass, don't question her

average SoB logic
unless you want to get set on fire and impaled
in which that case sure
question her
Why wouldn’t she tbh
Like especially with SoB that shit literally has an effect
its complimentary to the no helmets rule
she does have a helmet tbf
She’s literally protected by the Emperor
The close up made me realize she was a she.
by looking like a cathedral and not wearing a helmet you gain protection comparable to a spaceship void shield
also yeah the thing has a fucking refractor shield lol
imagine if a grenade landed behind her headspace
God dammit I have my dad's gender blindness
shes cooked 😔
refractor shield + faith bullshit + power armor + armor
It’s a dud
lol
Emperor protects
Unironically probably what would happen
Can you imagine how annoying that would be
...I actually fuck with the huge pauldrons though. I don't care how goofy they look
It's awesome
it doesnt look goofy imo
least derranged SoB named character
