Hell Forges are fallen Forge Worlds and the domain of the Dark Mechanicus. Many of these worlds were once loyal Forge Worlds of the Martian Mechanicum, but have since slipped into worship of the Ruinous Powers.[1]
Though their origins lay with the original followers of Kelbor-Hal who sided with Horus during the Horus Heresy[3], many other Mechan...
The Hell forges https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Mechanicum
The Dark Mechanicum, or Dark Mechanicus[7], referred to by themselves as the New Mechanicum[6b] or True Mechanicum,[20a] is a Chaos-affiliated counterpart to the Adeptus Mechanicus. Its origins trace back to those who pledged loyalty to Warmaster Horus at the end of the Great Crusade. The Dark Mechanicum serves as a dark "mirror" to their counte...
Yeah, I’d have to find the names
Ulan Huda was a moon and fallen Forge World of the Eastern Fringe during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[2a]
Long hidden in the storms that haunt the edge of the Galaxy, the world had long devoted itself to forbidden technologies that allowed the planet itself to move through the Warp in order to escape the predations of Xenos and other horr...
Is a fun one
Dude, trying to pinpoint exact places in the warp is kind of like this:
On this tour, portals will take us to various non-Euclidean geometries. This is not Minecraft!
A cool holonomy effect happened during this tour, but it was not explained by our guide Tehora! Have you found it? Please tell us in the comments!

I do want a little darkmech exploration in 40k lads
It’s a moving moon
dark mechanicum make most of what isn't looted, although they aren't nearly united in any way so they don't have much of a monopoly over chaos production either
would it be out of the realm of possibilities that dark mech could employ men of iron
There’s also stuff like CSM literally growing armor they wear
although ostensibly it's in every hell forge's interest to make ties with some chaos warbands if only to be part of their protection rackets
And other stuff like that
They actively have some
And seek them out
it's usually pursuit of tech just like that which makes them heretics in the first place
Only if the men of iron agree to work with them.
Anvilius, Sarum are 2 big ones
Dark Mek is pretty varied in what they do, some are much less overtly corrupted
a hell forge that refuses to play ball with any of the chaos warbands though, are probably going to get raided to oblivion quickly
Although some of that is them coping
Remember, men of iron wiped out humanity at it's technological peak. Getting on their bad side can still be devastating.
well 'men of iron' is a very vague term
The Men of Iron also fought against the ones trying to wipe out humanity
They’re not one thing really
They’re not really a faction also that exists in notable numbers outside of I guess the LoV
I mean they at least know about the true Omnissiah.
I mean one claims to
You’re ascribing a lot to a very mysterious group which we don’t know much about really
There’s not much reason for us to think UR is a super trustworthy source for example
UR-025 has to be telling the truth yo. Why would it lie???
Because it’s got its own biases and agenda
We don’t know if it’s right or not, or how it got the information
It believes it but that doesn’t make it true
What happened to the Technobabarian leaders during the Unification Wars? Did Big-E accept their surrenders or all of them were culled?
Little column a little column b
It makes sense to me, cuz from a purely cold logical perspective, nothing Admech's do in the name of the Omnissiah is clean or efficient.
One became a rogue trader iirc
Malcador was arguable one
Some definitely joined him
Or were imprisoned
Or died
The Unifiction Wars were like 300 years total
If you include Sol
It took a long long time
Wasn't there a ship based AI that absolutely schools on some admech and says theres no omnissiah
Yeah the one
Something of hope idk
It’s just some random fuck AI though, we do know the Omnissiah is a real thing but what it is, is more the question
Spirit of Eternity
It’s like machine spirits, it’s not really a simple thing
And the warp and stuff is intertwined
i think i read one named the red king or something similar got imprisoned in the dark cells wether or not hes still down there or alive is unknown id assume a few got the same treatment
Yeah there’s a few who did
for the most part, surrenders were accepted
I'm assuming it's a catchall term to explain minor machine quirks to perhaps some actual machine spirits but idk
it seems to be the earlier on someone surrendered, the better things went for them
Chaos Sorcerers be like: https://youtu.be/fj_CEDYQkz4?si=AOxxpqYL2e7DV0zH
The advice ball that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth

It’s a very wide range of different phenomena
Some of which is machines having minor AI or actual AI, and resonance in the warp
UR-025 wants prove of itself being sentient, it wants to define sentient and other being with no "soul". With that, its belief is already bended.
Some of which is just basic machine functions
In 40k, souls needs to have resonance with the warp... Which I find funny because they only know where the souls go, but not where they come from.
only the emprah knows
I'm assuming servitor brains give it some low level awareness in more advanced machines as well, just maybe
Yeah that uh, land raider I think it was going ballistic and killing everything
Whatever it is I hope they don't explain it too much
It wants it's oil
And it wants it now.
Fuckin Gav Thorpe wrote the killing landraider story, of all people
It's unknown whether souls are necessary for sentience, and being alive.
Well it got catapulted out of the Crimson Fists fortress monastery when it went kablooey and got mad
Also Blanks exist
And we don't know whether they just
Don't have one
Or
Do have one but it's a weird negative soul thing
I believe in the latter tbh
Since Blanks can use their aura as anti Daemon laser beams
(only the really blanky ones tho)
Unfortunately for the Necrons, they can't shoot laser beams out of their sheer aura
Instead it's a fun gun
Then there's that Frauka feller who lost his blankness
I think it was him. Another damned Abnettism
Love frauka
He didn't lose his blankness per say
It's just when he's near Zael it becomes null
Zael is a unique type of psyker
It's been so long, I should read it again
I fucking hate Fallout fans I fucking hate Fallout fans I fucking hate Fallout fa
THE NCR LITERALLY HAD LIKE
SALVAGED POWER ARMOR
WHY WOULDN'T THEY TRY TO MAKE IT WORK
FFS
The New Vegas fandom is a blight
The worst part is that it's literally in Vegas
The NCR wear Salvaged PA
They had to take the servos out because they couldn't train people
actual tourist
Although it is replacing the Riot Gear which is kinda sad tbh
I think the power armor elitisim amidst the chuds of fallout is one of the worst fucking things in existence
like some people just wanna do fun designs on them, leave them alone lol
also ngl
Power armor training
has always been
the most stupid piece of fucking lore
in existence lol
LOL
I mean tbh the only bit of elitism I have is that the X-01 is scattered around FO4.
ELITE 💀
Like I know they retconned it so that it was like
it adds literally nothing to the lore
A pre-war prototype
tbf thats gameplay
But it would've been cooler to have X-02's scattered around
what
its my opinion smh
Power armor training exists exclusively because bethesda wanted to gate power armor behind progression lol
Like the enclave set up in boston, ran away when Raven Rock and their airfield got fucking nuked, etc.
me @ you
also tbh the Fo3 enclave PA are cool looking genuinely
Like
I'm sad they're talked less

Because like
get slammed idiot
lol
Shit like the Hellfire Armor is genuinely cool
okay genuine question
do people actually like power armor training
in like FO3 and NV
no idea
I mean do I like HP?
It's a mechanic
because it always felt very stupid to me it was a thing
I mean I guess
its also got lore to it
Honestly I think that
It's fine personally.
but yeah it is more of a mechanic
Lore-wise it makes sense. Of course you need training to use the suit of power armor
As for progression, I definitely think Fo4 should've kept it since uh
nothing
wait hold on
no power armor without it..?
you either get it at level 50 or you get it from the BoS, or Enclave
Basically it's added in purely so that you don't use power armor in FO3/FNV at the early game
tbh
imo it literally doesn't matter
if you get power armor early game
like yeah its prolly a bit overpowered
but whatever
I never cared for the perk, it was very whatever. I get it, with how you'd move in FO4 power armour but FO4 doesn't have it
nothing will match the glory that is fallout 1 and 2 power armor
they could've done a better job with Moldaver's NCR remnant forces. seeing modern ballistic headgear looks weird on em

Ironically I think FO4 needed it the most honestly.
Like FO4 Power Armor is fucking busted
it doesn't matter. there isn't much more skill expression than shooting a guy 15 times in the head
WHERE IS YOUR POWER ARMO-
i ventured into the glowing sea, found an enclave base, murdered everybody, got the enclave mk6 hellfire armor, quit the game because i was immortal and the game was no longer a challenge
at level 20
I'm still a T-51 fanboy
still tbh
wait no
T-51 nvm
I messed up the armor names
LOL
T-51 looks really good
No
@arctic talon A neat detail is that if you arrive in Navarro with T-51. Both the Sarge and Quartermaster are just like
"They got you with the budget armor. Get a proper set of X-01"
You even see a couple of enclave soldiers with T-51 on
It's a nice detail
They still call you out of uniform LOL
because the T-51 isn't enclave kit anymore
tbf it's more an exhausted "get a new uniform" instead of shouting.
Since it implies that the T-51 is still used if they're running out
/for lesser outposts
the starved power armor in the middle is crazy
Tbf
who didnt feed him???
went on a diet
all the power armor in that game looks terrible
since its so form fitting
I get why they had to do it but goddamn lol
Honestly FO4 PA looks accurate to the classics and I appreciate that
Bro that isnt Power Armor, that is ENERGY PLATE
Fallout 4 messed up a lot but power armour was NOT one of them
My favorite interaction with the Navarro gate guard, is, if you got a low intelligence Chosen One, he tries to be cordial as a way to warn you from entering the base.
yeah
Again
I think that FO4 needed PA training the most ironically enough
"you go no away you get hurt. UNDERSTAND?"
Yet it's the first modern game that doesn't have it
he needs some milk
I hate thin marine
An astartes that doesn't do protein
trench crusade headass
but yeah fallout 5 better not have power armor training
and should have even more overpowered power armor
an emperor's children space marine
what about it
He also whispers that he had a brother like that.
And considering that the Enclave both is extremely xenophobic and doesn't have a big population
gene enhancements happen
Well

Let's just say that uh
one that doesn't fall apart after a ghoul sneezes my way
baby incinerator
that'd be neat
They're reliving Sweet Home Alabama
Jokes aside I think power armor should be rarer then it is in fallout 4
FO4 power armor needing batteries every 30 minutes was the main dealbreaker
but each set should be much more durable
the battery thing is
a gameplay thing
if they had infinite energy that would be fun
100%
But I prefer it to be locked in the late game
Like
yes and, worst of all, it's not fun
yeah, the oil rig's population numbered less than a thousand,
I think you should be able to do everything you normally do in power armor
Change the starting mission, have it only be used later in the story.
without the battery
Real
I never minded the durability that much since most of the suits arel ike
Literally 200 years old
There's so many fucking suits lol
the durability doesn't matter because you can always get more
The only disappointing thing is that you can't equip the power fist with PA
Why god
why
right. everyone and their mother seems to have a power armor in their shed in that game
and they're still dead, somehow
yeah there's
Honestly at least implement Gorilla Arms but PA in Fallotu 4
a lot of it everywhere lmao
Imagine
oh also the tesla armor is cool, I hope it comes back
but I know the enclave is like
totally fucked lol
so prolly not
tbf I genuinely think that
PA should both be rarer.
And also...
The first set should be Raider PA
Like
after getting shot at by them for absolutely zero reason, they are rightfully fucked
Capital Wasteland and Mojave: "these things are very valuable". Commonwealth: "oh don't worry, the next frame can be found 2 miles from the frame you are currently at."
its literally just shit strapped on
"Yes, this fucking suit with basically welded on metal on a frame gives you enough power to decimate a death claw"
"Now imagine if you had a proper suit"
i think BoS makes it a big deal when you get a power armor
i think i had maybe 5 suits by that point
The NCR does have working power armor
only because i got lazy
I forgot the name of the dude
The Raider PA is one of my top 5 favorite designs honestly
Like
but the uh
You said
from the one where you nuke
It's shit strapped onto a PA frame
the NCR/Legions things
It is genuinely fucking awesome
the one you can get from Lonesome Road. provided you nuke the I-15
should be craftable, honestly
like ofc somebody in the apocalypse would do that
yeah
that suit is awesome
they really could have their cake and eat it too by having enclave, they're cool but they also should be dead. just have it be like... another faction derived from military remnants, so they can keep some of those aesthetics
genuinely
the enclave is more of a
Sierra power armor
shambling corpse
that's what its called
then a dead body
It's sad that the helmet is cut
lol
modding save me
gotta show off his head
they keep getting brought back because they're cool, but bethesda could make something similarly cool if they really wanted to
Would
I agree
I do actually like the enclave
Sierra PA is a nice collection. but as A ranger fanatic, was always happy rocking the Elite RIot Gear in Lonesome Road
er
fuck not enclave lol
Yeah no I love Fallouts non power armor armor
a ton lol
like enclave by no means has to have a monopoly on the pre-war government loyalist aesthetic
The Institute is like
the saddest part about FO4 for me
but you know, they look cool
It just look like an average corpus grunt from warframe
Like I said
Modding saves us
Also I still think that genuinely looks cool
The Overboss PA probably borrowed from the cut Institute PA
Also happens to be one of my favorite designs
man that just had me remember the ancient fallout 3 mods that brought warhammer into the game
anyone remember the marine armor you get in Far Harbor's dlc, my favorite too
I always liked the railroad and ncr
and i saw someone actually boot up a fallout 3 game with that mod at the local arcade and i thought it was the coolest shit
I like the Legion.
the plate armor
Jokes aside The legion has a fun aesthetic
Even if they’re a bunch of psycho dudes dressed up as Romans lol
I mean that's why I like them
All their armor is makeshift as fuck
"the Caesar has marked you for death...and the legion obeys, ready yourself for battle!" some bald dude with a beret as my companion capping the whole hit squad in under a minute
then there's the gladius, which kinda reminds me of a kukri
it basically is
except with a fancier handle
Here is what an actual gladius looks like btw
I like it because it shows that they clearly have no idea what rome was like
They only have like a few books describing Rome
its always fun to run a female Legion aligned Courier because of the dialogue
I’m pretty sure a large chunk of them don’t know how to read
Ranked competitive misogynist
I like designs like the Centurion armor btw
Like you can tell that some parts are from like
T-45
average Legionnaire: "know your place, woman" F Courier: "i can kill you in eight different ways..." Legionnaire: ಠ_ಠ
They’re cool yeah
They really got creative with the designs of the Legion and I can't help but lovei t
Skin them alive as a show of dominance/j
there is of course Lanius's Armor
I just wish they'd had more stuff like chainmail rather than yankee football padding to show they've got some industry going at home or something
It's fine as is though
and also the #1 reason why I nuke the Legion in Lonesome road even if I'm doing a Legion playthrough:
nukes a portion of his forces: Ceasar to the Courier: "Imma be nice...once"
Lonesome Road is really funny if you just shoot all the Eyebots and snipe Ulysses immediately when you finally get to him
so what happens to a rogue traders dynasty and worlds etc if the the trader gets lost in the warp for an extended period
presumably everyone rejoices because most rogue traders are total pieces of shit
but without the warrant of trade they can't be officially replaced afaik
a new dynasty has to be made and everything
If they get decreed MIA there will be another one from the family that will take thr helm of the Trading empire
what would happen if say a warrent of trade was found on a derelict ship what would be done with it
well the warrant of trade IIRC is addressed to a specific dynasty
so it'd be a mad scramble for someone to pretend to be a distant heir to that dynasty
thats my guess at least
is their a rough time limit for if that happens and what happens if the original does come back
the warrant of trade is sort of the main thing that matters AFAIK
Depend on who find it, someone could try to pass off as a surviving member of the dynasty that the Warrant is for
a dynasty without it doesnt have the legal provisions of a rogue trader and so would presumably eventually regress into being an ordinary imperial noble family
None that we know, and probably internal strife, or one of the head accepting the other
You can copy a warrant, you don't need the physical scrolls on you
Rogue Trader dynasties are noted to having multiple active RT iirc
oh, the game made it seem like it was a singular thing of super importance
what if it the linked dynasty was completely lost aswell would the warrent just be null or
Yeah it would be like the head of a noble house disappeared
Depends, as always
But it probably wouldn’t be seen as a good sign lol
With how the Imperial bureaucracy work, probably not
A lot of warrants aren’t made to be passed down too
So it depends on what kind they have
Yeah stuff like this is left flexible for the sake of storytelling players/writers can make so essentially anything is possible, its just a political clusterfuck
And who their friends are
the benefits of someone pretending to be part of the dynasty are way too great for it to go forever without someone going "im 1/3000th von valancius" if it's addressed to a dynasty
But yeah it would be Politics™️
Also, tbh
cutthroat prizes and all that
A dynasty hiding that they don’t have a warrant anymore cause it got lost centuries ago
its a legal document that says "I get to do whatever the fuck I want." is very valuable in any society, especially in the Imperium
Would be in line with some dynasties secrets
if another dynasty goes to war with another what happens to the losing sides warrent
nothing officially yeah
unless their entire dynasty gets wiped
nobody cares as long as imperial holdings arent damaged
the warrant is given by the high lords or the Emperor
so nobody can take that away from them
could they steal the warrent and deprive them the role of being a certified trader anymore
except for those aforementioned bodies
also depends
its a huge hassle
and dependant on how strong the opposing Houses are
^
That you can make what you want happen
so long as the warrant actually EXISTS, it wouldn't deprive them
its not like a football exactly
There’s no real rule of thumb cause anything can happen
You could maybe become a RT cause you stole it
Or maybe they have friends and you get killed immediately
like we got examples of someone winning a Warrant from a fucking poker game with rich sector nobles lol
I mean, the Warrant that the RT have are most likely copies, the original being on Terra and stuff
A lot of warrants aren’t even like, something you can pass down
They’re made just for the person
And are void after they die or do something
They’re made for a specific purpose, while others are the dynastic ones we see
Yeah you gotta be like a super big shot to have a great and actually important warrant ala the one in Rogue Trader which is a massive parchment piece
if a trader lost theirs in a similar situation to a xeno/abhuman how would that play out
They'd die
lol
abhumans/aliens got no use for a warrant of trade
What have we been saying this whole time smh
they are literally seen as subhuman freaks
its like Elon Musk seeing you drive his car

wait
So no Rogueryn trader?
: (
Every time I see that name, I want to punch it hard.
I dont see Muskie as human, btw.
so even if the trader specified in their will that the ogryn take the reigns hes fucked
I mean yeah
its like assigning your trillion dollar empire to some child
you expect people to follow that?
they wont, i wouldnt lol
He might become a puppet for someone but
so it seems that there is a difference between Letters of Marque (which tend to be for a single person) and a Warrant of Trade
Yeah that’s how a dynasty war starts
plenty of empires have went this way in real life
yeah and kids died
or had their throats slit
or fell off some stairs
i mean just the fact is that the Rogue Trader right is basically a paper that instantly lifts you to the 1% plutocracy
Optimal
people have done horrible shit for just a fraction of that gain
Yeah for example Darktide has a rogue trader ogryn but like even their cosmetic says hes only a "rogue trader" because he says he is and nobody knows if he actually even has a warrant, they are just scared he'll punch them lol
The future is now, people fall out of windows nowadays.
i always assumed they meant it as more a retinue thing
and considering GW approves of the cosmetic bio pages before they get published thats one funny example of what you are asking
Nah he says hes a rogue trader
but like again
in quotations
lmao
if he was a legit one it would be the same
and at least the RT game implies that blood is of relative import in those dynastic warrants
its not even the game, it goes all the way back to the RPGs and to the current lore
its a prett dense topic
Also it’s the most important m rule of 40k: if you can’t back up your authority with guns, you don’t actually have it when push comes to shove
would an unsanctioned psyker have a possibility or would they need to be sanctioned to be the actual trader
main point being that its unlikely the rogue trader could even decide who inherits the warrant so much as just hope someone distantly related happens to also be chill
Navigators are some of the most influential and strong people in the Imperium and people still say they are freaks behind their backs, a psyker rogue trader would get the same result
They can try but it’s like anything like that
so abhuman inheritors are unlikely
Entirely yeah
Same as irl when a king would die and its a mad scramble for power
you'd essentially be a joke
Rogueryn Trader is real in my heart
I mean it can be
It doesn’t matter if the house head decided something if he didn’t set up a way to ensure it would happen
like we said just dont expect much
But if they did then
also this
Sure
as ever remember, politics always go back to people being selfish assholes
That’s basically what the RT game starts with
lol
Also this yeah
you werent even gonna be likely chosen
its entirely down to chance
Then everyone died
especially in the arena of the rogue trader, where just about everyone is an utter psychopath
theres something like this in uhhh Outgunned too
hence my first point where if a rogue trader + warrant vanished, his/her domain would probably celebrate like the end of star wars
the protagonist is related to a governor of a sector, so the planet of the governor hes on is kissing his ass
but even hes like
"You do realise im like the 34th person in line to the governor seat right, theres no need for this"
lol
This goes for the entire Imperium, space marines chapters are all “equal” except First Founding have vastly more power, both in actual firepower, and political influence and allies, relationships, and so on.
It’s why Inquisitors have a lot harder time nailing them down, cause if you’re gonna go after a first founding chapter, you need an airtight case. And even then, they’re all very tough nuts to crack.
Yeah its why I hate memes like people acting as if some Chapters dont care where they are related/come from.
They very much do, its all about political alliances and ties
Inquisitors mostly all have the same technical power
But they vary wildly in actual power
Yeah you can have evidence that some Lord Inquisitor is a straight up traitor but like
if you have a retinue of 5 hobos
while he has an entire battallion of goons
you are gonna die and no one will care
unless you leak his OnlyXenos account or something idfk
you had to actually curry the favor of the local group leaders or else you'd just starve to death
could an astartes tho i doubt theyd want to or see the purpose become a trader
no
They’re cut off from being able to become stuff like that
The highest power they can get is in the first founding chapters or I guess like a Deathwatch Watchmaster
space marines in general prefer to like at best stick to a trader as a bodyguard/advisor etc, the moment they get any selfish wants they'd have a target on their back yeah.
marines sometimes can very much have egotistical quirks but that always ends badly
space marines as a rule are generally uncomfortable with things that involve outside the chapter
They are introverts fr
leadership being IIRC seen as a burden specifically because you have to deal with outsiders
they generally all seem like they'd rather just spend all their time with their bros all the time
Marines like Huron aren’t common and that’s intentional
God i remember that part in MandaloreGaming's vid
"You touched a chaos relic Chapter Master, you will suffer the wrath of the Inquisition."
"NO I JUST LOOKED AT IT I DIDNT TOUCH IT AAAA-"
literally cannot let me build my fucking Chapter in peace
"Wahh orks are attacking us please help"
Fuck off

for me it was accidentally reaching a world before the imperial navy did
Like as an example, no chapters outside of first founding ones could have gotten away with the Months of Shame
so whos in charge of deciding who gets a new warrent these days seeing as big e is not in a writing mood
entire fleet gets blown up by a bunch of ork roks
Or had the firepower to
High lords
Arch Magos
Powerful people basically
Guilliman
it legit captures the unluckiness of homebrew factions well
its like Witcher where a seemingly "good" decision will bite you in the ass lmao
“Oh no I killed the child eating monster, but it turns out that monster was giving dick medicine to the local lord and he can’t have kids so he died without any children and you plunged the entire nation into war. Idiot. Should have seen that coming dork.”
yeah it was great stuff, it also encouraged glory-hounding (lore-accurate behavior)
To be fair its entirely down to you if you wanna show kindness to the Baron
"yep... just not gonna bother with those orks destroying that nothingburger agri world"
Also answers dumb questions really well people ask like "Why dont Marines help X"
Have you considered I wanna save my strength for something important you fuckhead
its why I really like the showcase of astartes in stuff like Imperial Armor
although its not confirmed i swear you get a reputation for being That Guy if you just move your entire chapter together
gee, every fight you take is overkill with 0 casualties, who woulda thunk
LOL
like in-universe
there doesnt seem to be any reason NOT to do it other than every world you visit leaves like 4 others to explode
the optimal selfish play
best part of 40k tbh
the Milky Way has like 400 Billion planets
we can lose a few

yeah but you just know all the local governors think you're a total asshole for spending your entire chapter overkilling minor ork infestations
"sorry bro this is just the tactically soundest thing to do"
then they'd get mad they got out of control in a few years and that its your fault

cant live with em, cant live without em
theres no winning as a space marine fr fr
Real.
all these whiney ass humans thinking you're emperor incarnate or whatever
saved the mechanicus only for them to still keep asking for 10% geneseed tithe
assholes
geneseed doesnt grow on trees
at least dark mechanicum just asks for the Souls of the Innocent and Flayed Slaves or whatever crap
also wtf theres a new chapter master development
gonna have to try it out, maybe i wont have to mod it from "Interstellar Army Simulator"
tbf the best part of darkmech is they are just the mechanicus but use daemons
otherwise essentially zero difference
well, dark mech tend to be less obnoxious with telling the warbands what to do at least
you dont get situations like "nooo you cant use assault cannons on a predator that breaks Da Rulez" as much
Honestly, it is the best use of expensive assets.
That’s why IH are based, Stronos has been their leader for longer than any in history, has won them countless victories and is like 800-900 years old, and the only commemoration he has is a small plaque on Medusa with his name, hidden away.
They actively discourage anyone trying to make a statue or anything of them
Also like invention and shit, and xenotech
And they admit they are evil
You say this like the mechanicus doesn’t
Xenotech is not the dark mechanicum ballpark generally
Tbh
A lot of the members are still hardcore human supremacists
Yeah, so take the xenos stuff from the stupid aliens, and use it for the glory of humanity, as is our birthright
We’ll use it better than they could
No
I said human supremacist

As in the smash all xenotech and slaughter them all
So wasteful
Zhao Arkkad and Stygies the actual xenotech heads
Uh
Didn’t go traitor lol
Or for zhao arkkad they didn’t go hardcore traitor
The dark mechanicum is more boring then general traitor or chaosy mechanicus
You loot from forgeworlds of the thrice damned mechanicus and servants of the corpse emperor
Ok but xenos make such silly toys, they’re fun
It’s not like the mechanicus doesn’t invent shit
Well too bad xana doesn’t care
Well yeah but they lie about it
They’re shit gets boring, gotta have variety
Same
They’re more boring then the general grab bag of traitor and chaos aligned mechanicus
Heresy era boomers
Lol
I’m so happy the munda mini was a normal Heretek
And not a member of the dark mechanicum
I love how they are like “xenos tech is way too far! Shove another daemon in the reactor!”
People ascribe way too much rationality to the Dark Mek
Xana II did maybe develop AI, the thing is it’s hard to tell if it’s using a daemon as assistance or fuel
Lol
Yeah for sure
Idk why people are shocked the chaos version of the Ad Mech suffers a lot of the same pitfalls all chaos factions do
looking tasty
I do wonder
What the necromunda heretek did
They look normal
And they’re from stygies
Honestly I think it's because they're disappointed that we don't get any REALLY crazy shit
like the most we get is Daemon Engines and Weapons
We do get crazy shit
Which ARE very cool
Also
Rocker
Launcher

go dammit pcgamer
unless if it will shoot actual fucking boulders
is the guy on his back a part of him
Well he is a heretek
for a tech priest anyways
true'
honestly the funniest thing about the dark mechanicum for me is that they look
He probably did some minor heresy like “hey maybe we should find out why this stuff works?”
barely different from the regular mechanicus
like I can tell between a Heretic Guard and regular
CSM and SM
but not the mechanicus
"Hey maybe we should try figuring out why we're doing th-"
BLAM
Also I get why they don't use mixed Xeno tech
A) They still hate Xenos
B) it's more a department if anything for the mechanicus
Same as the mechanicus
Oh wait
Nvm
I misread
💀
Anyways the dark mechanicum makes cool shit
But the idea of like
A Daemon T'au-Imperium Hybrid Daemon Machine sounds fucking awesome
The knight abominant is one of their creations
It’s got super cool stuff going on
Derived from force weapons to channel the users psychic powers
There are some duds though like uh
Like yeah, gimme some actually stupid shit
Can’t always cook
Big gun
apparently this is a daemon machine for slaanesh
I like how admech is somehow more varied and open minded than chaos admech, just not officially
Tbf not chaos admech as a whole
If we include more recent traitors
what's the the Dark Mechanicus and dickguns??
Things get fun
Idk, the daemons like it
Old
a more updated picture
still old tho
also
CARCANIZATION
NOT EVEN THE MACHINES ARE SAFE
still though unironically kinda sad we only have two slaaneshi daemon machines
and they're both old lore
like I can genuinely think of some ideas.
I can imagine like
A greek Statue looking mecha
Goes hard
RULES OF NATURE
“Stop that blade!”
MGSR plays in my head again...
I don’t actually think the game tops this moment
It’s amazing the rest of the game
But that’s not is by far the best sound que
It is genuinely a good moment
It also established how strong Raiden is
...
so then when Sam literally dismantles him
it's shocking
It absolutely does.
Theres so many good moments
Armstrong appears for like
one cutscene until the final boss
Nah, I think the rest of it is amazing but the blade catch is still the peak moment
and he steals the show
I’m not saying the rest is bad
PLAYED COLLEGE BALL Y'KNOW
But the blade catch is just so fucking cool and perfectly timed music que
it's a wonderful beginning
its a great showcase of how a voice actor's performance can carry a scene
Sundowners Que is my second favorite
i still cant believe Armstrong's VA is Mimir lol
It’s a shame he’s so easy to skip it
I also think that Monsoon and Jack the Ripper is genuinely cool
Because Monsoon basically did the
"The Hero is just as bad as me" shtick
but Raiden literally subverts it by being like
"Y'know what? Yeah you're right. I'm gonna stop holding back my crazy ass now."
"I'm sorry what?"
Monsoon is a dork and I’m glad he barely features
He is literally a nihilistic redditor and I actually love it
I think my favorite part is when like
THE MEMES
you no hit him
Because then he actually screams in fear
You basically made a depressed, nihilistic terrorist fear for his life
to be fair
hes a guy who survived the cambodian genocides
i didnt really except a smart individual lol
or a sane one

Ignoring how funny his phrasing is, the conversation he has about THE MEMES is genuinely interesting.
Sundowner meanwhile is just your typical psycho ex-army american
hes peak
him not denying what he is ironically is what makes him so based
I love how he's basically kind of a pussy also. Fair play is NOT a concept for him.
Although I really wish he had more health even then
Crabs are without flaw, have not changed in ages
All the other terrorists are literally as aggressive as possible. Basically constantly assaulting you.
Meanwhile Sundowner has explosive shields and helicopters constantly taking potshots
He is actually a coward (relatively anyways) and I love it lmao
My 2nd favorite war crime man

He even tries to do a fake out death
Same thing as uhh the dlc boss, shows up for three scenes and steals the show
I always felt slightly bad for him.
Mainly pity tbh
Because like
He's literally the only one that genuinely, unironically believes in his organization's mission
What’s the dog called
Bladewolf is so much more violent then sam or raiden
It is why he gets killed off tbf
What's even sadder is that the song's lyrics are fire but you only hear it during his death
It does make me sad that “It has to be this way” doesn’t actually play during this part
Like damn bro
its understandable to save it for the finale i think
as much as the meme make sit cool this is suppose to be mostly a "buildup" segment to show you got no chance lmao
I can’t believe MGR is fucking canon lol
The hot wind blows is peak asf
I mean he basically has textbook repressed rage lmao
Fuckin dog
Still not Kojimas goofiest writing somehow
And unlike Sam or Raiden, he isn't as powerful as them
Also Jetstream Sam is lame and cringe
Tbf it was also cowrote by Platinum games.
Aka the people who make Bayonetta.
And I find him boring
Mg in general is such an insane plot line in general that gets more cracked out every game
Hot take of the day
Two crazy people
Vision together
Yeah kinda one dimensional
Oh also all the uh
Bosses of desperado
Are named after winds
Which is something I didn’t know
I like him mainly for his DLC honestly
Actually shows off his character well
Tbh Mistral is mainly forgotten due to not being as bombastic as the others.
I like her design though
Yeah
With the multiple arms
If she was later her fight would be more crazy tbh
Bah
But she’s the first member of desperado you shank
Theres nothing wrong with Sam just being a brazilian himbo
Here
Unrelated gif
Yes there is, everyone else is way cooler in his org
Sam is basically a drifter, and I can't help but like that type of shit.
And he does the cringe “wow he barely has any cybernetics how cool” cyberpunk trope
ironically a desperado yeah
its metal gear
it works extremely well
False
and the internet loves him, case is closed tbh
He’s cringe, too late
I could never play the metal gear solid series, it’s too all over the place, I recognize it’s all revolutionary though
Tbf it works with the series it's in.
Since every other game has the villain use a mecha, nano machines, clones, etc.
So having a villain that just fights you 1v1
With just a sword
Not jumping arm robots, smoke mades, or anything
My favorite flavor of boss fight
No huge gimmick to his fight lol
I also love how like
It's nice to not have a huge gimmick for once
he literally says if he kills Raiden thats that, he wont give a shit about it
“Dude that has similar skills than you, and that’s it”
but if he dies, Raiden will at least carry on what he couldnt do himself
Yeah he’s fun
so is Sam, they are good pals
He’s a complete psychopath and evil as fuck
War crime man
Sam is jsut lame and nihilistic
until Sam says Sunny cut himself shaving
Is he though? I just assume he was always bored/didnt care
he never seemed nihilistic to me
Tbf the man only gave up when he literally had no other option other than death
That’s what I said
Oh yeah also you can make Monsoon beg for his life lmao
and he admits as much
Which is a fun alternative
Oh yeah when hes about to be chopped
"NO, PLEASE"
To the usual death dialogue
Normally he says “do as you please”
But if you beat his ass hard enough
He says that yeah lmao
It’s so fucking funny
Again
It shows how fucking terrifying Raiden is because you basically made a
Depressed, nihilistic, and borderline suicidal terrorist fear for his life
You put the fear of God back into him LMAO

Monsoon has probably favorite power set of the cast tbh
I think his weird limb splitting thing is fucking awesome
...too bad it's also annoying to fight
STOP DODGING MY SLASHES
Oh also league finally revealed the first way mordekaiser died
In canon
It was always really mysterious before
guh
Tbf of all the ways for a brutal warlord to go
It is one of them
Does it count if a hot woman planned it
"mop up the mess left by biden"
more like Bush and every other president
