But then they had that cure all panacea
Which is why Xenos revenge during Age of Strife was a thing.
thats just one random mcguffin 1 group probably made
Whoever had it, duh
guh
TBF STC being STC, if one group conceived of it, others can make it back then.
….but STC being used to design regional power specific arsenals would explain the scattered nature of the STC templates, yes.
yeah remember STCs exist to make mcguffins for modern 40k
"wow a convenient terraforming stc, awesome!"
I like that at least some seemed to have gotten along okay with the Eldar, what with the flat disc meeting place Cawl contemplates on
Dunno why I like it
because diplomacy is neat
Eldar were also about as dispersed as humans too so some would definitely get along.
Genefather also has the planet it takes place on have Cawl say it used to be a diplomatic location for humans/eldar to convene in
and hes very giddy about it which is cute
That silly webway city being right near Terra could imply some more connections, but who knows
History™️
tbh that is just convenience
Tbh the golden throne is evidence enough
Daot humanity
And the eldar
Worked together
god the throne's lore is such a mess
Even before the emperor started fucking with the thing
its necron tech, eldar tech, eldritch tech, human tech, pick a fucking side
Big E didn't even invent Custodes or SM. There were other soldiers like that. Big E copied them and built them for thousands of years to get the numbers before releasing them.
to be fair
the idea of genetic super soldiers is like
Eldar, old ones, random aliens and human tech seems to be the going thing
he probably took some notes from his pal adolf
Wow you guys are really talking about this stuff and getting into it. 40k lore is awesome.
Technobarbarian can solo custodes during the unification, if not for the 10k custodes, I don't think they can win.
Tbf I dug out pottery shards from a stone age house once and got giddy thinking that the life the old folk had
Entirely reason and understandable
Yeah nah i agree lol
90's
yeah tho its a general term
some techbarbs are like literal homeless people in steel armor
Oh also whatever the fuck the ethnocracy was. Was probably the most racist thing in existence
Except we never see it
while others are like nation ending superpowers
LOL
That name gives me horrendous vibes
Right
The Golden Throne was thought to be an ancient relic dating back to the Dark Age of Technology which the Emperor discovered in sunken ruins within Asia's deserts,[5] although even the Emperor Himself was unsure whether the idea was His,
he forgor....

lol
God i hate how the novels like
went with the idea of the throne being suspended above the webway portal gate at first
stupid as shit lmao
its a reference to the uhhh
first ever HH card artworks
it looks about as silly there lol
hes there above the panel lmaooo
someone help him

Nothin like chillin in a hammock with a monster
It gives me that feel
I sometimes think about the ethnarcy having armour just about impervious to plasma guns in the unification wars 🤔
Or meltaguns
I thought they were just randomly mentioned techno barbarian group
There's a bit about the Salamanders assault on the tempest galleries
I just always forget about it
Many of them have power field armour.
I wish the savlar drip in Darktide looked better
It’s not bad
But I wish the zealot one didn’t have all those things strapped to the front
DT zealot loves chains for some reason...
Buff eviscerator
So odd question, but have Kriegers ever retrated in a cowardice before?
Chain and chainsaw are not the same thing...
Huh? One of us is lost here.
Nah the chains on your clothes are just chainsaws now
Here’s an excerpt from imperial armor
When you thought it couldn't get any worse the Imperium will make sure it can be
but yeah the uh
the 158th regiment is the original poster child scheme
for Krieg btw LOL
True. I just bought into the meme kriegers were always will to die for the emperor.
It's very pervasive
Never believe the memes in any capacity.
Are they still human if they're clones?
they arent clones
Yes
they are mass-produced humans
People basically drop a bit of their genetic material into vitae-wombs and kids that are gonna be guardsmen pop up with mixed features etc
even if they were clones they'd still have emotions as long as they have a sentient brain too so like no difference still
Ah
I forget if it's old lore or not but aren't clones unlucky
Thats another unrelated thing
The Afriel Strain, also known as Homo Sapiens Maledictus, are a strain of Abhuman.[2]
people also hate them for being albinos

I almost read that as something else ngl

Oh yeah liber xenologis
I just saw it in the sources and remembered it was a thing at all

Absolute 100% truth about all things
I recall it being associated with ears being an erogenous for eldar and then elves in general later down the line
Absolutely weird set of events
There are Kriegs who shoot themselves before they can't bear the horror of war anymore.
So while they are memed to be the hardcore death troopers, they are not that much different from the rest.
Imagine don quixote as a psyker
The only thing that the Ad mech made that doesn't non bio components...
I wonder if Kriegers would get to keep their gear if they were sent to a penal legion
cawl is such a treat
you keep nothing when you get sent to a penal legion
you are given rags, a bomb collar and a lasgun
probably an autogun
since they are nornally considered to be trash weapons even by imperium stardards
True
I mean, I think only Gangers and cultists are the most common users of Autoguns.
anyone who gets his hand on an autogun is a common user of the autogun
its not like its some archaic weapon, tons of places use it
Are autoguns that much worse than lasguns?
I can only see the one benefit of a lasgun is it never jams
for dealing with flak armor and tougher armor
yeah
for ease of use yeah
for overall damage done per shot also yeah
the upside to autoguns is the ability to use exotic ammo and for intimidation
while lasguns surpass them in pretty much every other situation
I see I see
An autogun with normal rounds is pretty helpless against carapace and power armor
it can get lucky with carapace
but its totally fucked with power
a las gun can deal with carapace and can get lucky with power armor
but Autoguns can use things like manstopper rounds, amputator shells, ect.
Autoguns dont have an ammo type that punctures power armor?
They do, but its not standard and its expensive
man-stopper rounds can deal with power armor
I'm asssuming when you say autogun
you mean like
a rifle/carbine
for larger autoweapons then yeah they can pierce power armor
but something like an autorifle's standard caliber isn't going to do well into power armor
Right that makes sense
What about stubbers? Any differences between them and autoguns? Are they more preferred or less preferred?
Even space marines use them on vehicles.
Now that I think about it, so do the guard and admech.
Okay so basically
The difference between Stubbers and Autoguns is that
Autoguns are caseless
Stubbers aren't
Both refer to projectile weapons though
And despite it not fitting with the lore technically
They're kinda interchangable
Funny how some heavy stubbers look like 50 cal brownings, iconic design
Their bullets dont have cases? Dont we see them with the autoguns in Darktide?
Yeah
Again I doubt GW cares anymore.
It's a "Lasguns are yellow lasers"
Ah fair fair
the Ma Deuce has been a staple of the power behind each round of heavy machine guns since 1933. Its why i like the Quadmount so much
Nah, the name are kind of interchangeable.
Some code book list them stubber and auto gun to use the same ammo
Again I doubt both GW and the actual Imperium cares anymore
This is only in FFG lore
Honestly, I see autoguns are more as being local quality compared to stubbers being higher mass production quality.
Lore that predates FFG had casing
This is not on GW necessarily
This is FFG changing lore
So that there’s more of a difference
Okay so Stubber and Autoguns are interchangable then
I thought they were cheaper?
Stubbers are usually more primitive
I am going to shoot myself with a stubb- auto-
Gah!
Ah man, i've always loved the Agripinaa design of the autogun
fat bullets for fat fucks
So basically in the end.
Stubbers are higher caliber weapons.
Autoguns are regular.
Weirdly high tech
Yeah pretty much
So yeah, that pattern of autogun uses cased ammunition...
It’s FFG’s fault
It’s literally their fault
They could have just said the pattern of autoguns in their sector
Don’t have casings
But they said ALL autoguns

Pretty much Agripinaa is like a FN FAL (L1A1 in the British army), shooting 7.62x51 like their machinegun.
And the lexicon says all autoguns are caseless, like the German magic space rifle.
yeah well
its wrong on that
We have more evidence of autoguns having casings
then autoguns not
The GSC autoguns have casings in official art
There are many instant of autogun using cased ammo.
The Siege of Vraks lore had cased ammo
the anphelion project had cased ammo
the fall of cadia had cased ammo
Overall another question.
Can a heavy Stubber pierce power armor?
Like generally
Or do they need special AP rounds
Depending on the size of the "heavy subber".
yes, if it's a larger caliber and if you aim it at a weakpot
Similar to Darktide's
Let's say the twin linked
the darktide heavy stubber can probably pierce power armor. Not super well mind you but it can def kill a marine or SoB
Like the one in the pick I show above, it uses "medium round", sharing with some autogun pattern. It will not work vs SM armour.
But it might cripple SoB armour.
It seems to use a pretty big bullet
oh wait
the twin linked one
I'm not sure how big that ones bullet is
I mean that one also seems to be fine
but the untwinlinked heavy stubber in Darktide is using some massive fuck off round
Lo
They uses the same ammo, it is just for gameplay purpose.
oh bruh
Those orgryn ones are more like 12.7 to 14.5mm.
While the human portable ones are smaller.
If anything though, if the baneblade gatling from the Secret level made SM taking shelter, then the orgryn one could damage SM.
i dont know if i think there really is a difference between autogun and "automatic stubber" in any reasonable degree in lore whatsoever
it's capable of definitely piercing power armor, but ya need to aim it at a weakpoint
even bullet calibre, the M40 autogun (arguably THE archetypal autogun) basically fully-autos slugs
this is like John Autogun
In the old days irl, slug just means a single projectile.
maybe, but it does say specifically "it fires large calibre solid slugs"
it is ALSO a heavier autogun compared to others, but still one of the most common ones we see
tbh the multi las in Astartes™️ should have done some more damage
"large calibre" is very vague.
yeah
Like 12.7mm handgun is not going to do the same damage as 12.7mm machinegun.
yes but in the context of 40k i dont think they're talking about 5.56
furthermore in the context of 40k autoguns are considered roughly peers to lasguns in terms of firepower, as far as everything i've seen goes
and since we see what a lasgun can do, we can probably also surmise that common autoguns are on the bigger side period
But then you have to define the power of the lasgun, which also varies like crazy.
The cultists bought the multi las from temu
not really, it's blowing off arms and such

Especially in the lore, they have power level switch...
In-lore it literally has variable power setting
But at minimum it usually can cut off limbs
With a single blast
Then bad news for you, we can already do that since ww1 with 7.62ish machineguns...
Like with Darktide, using the Lasgun turns regular cultists into swiss cheese
And I find that to be accurate to its minimum power setting
Aircraft uses the AP-I ammo that can blow limbs off...
i didnt know they were using machineguns as standard infantry small arms
Tbf we could. It's just not necessary
we could do lots of things
Not machinegun, but the ammo from them, which can be used with standard rifles.
the oldest guns were blowing people into chunks easily
But in 40k it's literally the bare minimum
yes
thats my point
in 40k, it seems evident that guns are significantly more destructive than they would be in the modern era
at least the sorts we see on the battlefield
It used to be the minimum for us, until they released that it is overkill to kill other humans...
I think the reason why Lasguns are there is mainly because
They're a logistic haven.
You can literally charge your magazines by putting it over a fire.
they're much better for campaigning and they're said to actually be more accurate and reliable
There is a reason that ammunition during WW1/WW2 are so much more powerful that what we uses now, in term of individual weapons.
im sure theres lots of reasons, but doesnt change things
Also although they have recoil it's
Probably much less than using an actual autogun
Ok cause I was gonna say "I thought the mechanicus used stubbers"
the main one i can imagine is that personal protection is significantly better in 40k than it has ever been irl
Im just saying, in term of individual, 40K is not that more crazy than what we used to have.
I mean Bolters are but tbf you need actual power armor
To use them without dislocating your shoulder
Nah, you can use bolter without armour.
i wasnt saying that
i was saying that there doesn't seem to be any difference between automatic stubbers and autoguns
@storm jungle Educate this person.
Yeah IK
But even in Darktide trying to fire it on auto basically feels kinda uncontrollable
Also the version we use are specifically made for humans. Same for the Sisters
Mechanicus stubbers are really fucked up lol
they probably shouldn't be called stubbers
There isn't... it is just like saying something a gun (in non English language) and a rifle...
but uh this thing is technically a stubber
I am going to be real with you
It can puncture leman russes and go out the other end
I have no idea what the fuck that would even count as
Its a stubber
just with extremely powerful bullets
its also not bolt action
its a semi automatic
but it kicks very hard
And now, suddenly it is caseless...
behold: a stubber
well those are railguns,
Rail stubber....
but yeah galvanic rifles are also stubbers technically, the radium carbine could prolly count as an autogun
Also, railgun doesn't have casing, so is it "autogun"...

someday we'll get the automatic railguns that tau rightfully deserve
Cyclic ion blaster, meet cyclic railgun cannon
cyclic ion does NOT sound like a projectile
This looks like it's steampunk, futuristic, and ancient at the same time and it's making my mind hurt
so im gonna have to score it 0/10 in the dakka meter
tbf, have you see mechanicus/mechanicum guns
they look funky
the mauler bolter is an oversized maxim
This got me thinking but what's the most powerful ballistic weapon in the imperial arsenal
although the burst cannon WAS the most fun gun in fire warrior
that can be reasonably carried by a human
TIL there is a hand crank gatling gun in service with the imperium.
Vindicare rifle
Exilus something
its not actually hand crank
and yeah the Exitus Rifle
unless you count like
ship weapons
or large vehicle ones
I do not
He said "portable".
Carried by human
yeah guessed that
Exitus is the strongest there is in the current lore.
Yeah I said reasonably carried by a human no problem because I don't think a human will carry a ship cannon like a Nova Cannon
i mean SPACE MARINE portable probably gets stronger than exitus
and if its space marine portable its probably sisters of battle-portable
marines bring about lascannons
yes
I wonder if it would possible for a laser to set off a bullet in a gun.
the exitus has better penetration
even if the overall destruction is worse
the exitus also can use mini meltabomb rounds
so
Nah, Exitus is stronger than Eliminator Bolt sniper rifle.
"Utilizing specialized ammunition constructed heavy-gravity alloys, the Exitus Rifle is capable of penetrating nearly all forms of known armor and can even pierce armored vehicles"
and that's like pretty much basic ammunition
no they said ballistic
well
The ammunition choices you can have with that is like
las cannon isn't ballistic still
insane
I guess in terms of small arms.
Psycannon is my guess although they barely count as a ballistic weapon
which isn't the head
it uses the ballistic skill
Exitus can laugh at Titans.
in all seriousness i dont know if lascannon and the vindicare rifle are actually really comparable in regards to "which one punchier" unless there's been a direct test
Punching a hole through this which is by the way an imperial knight designed to take hits and carry more firepower is insane
they're both anti-vehicle
This is true
They have different roles
as well tbh
the exitus is a scalpel
the las cannon is a hammer sized scalpel
i think OF projectiles its surely the exitus
also normal people can use the exitus while you need, at least, power armor assistance with the lascannon
or you're just Harken
Hotshot lasgun can blow SM off, but it can't do magic trick payload like projectile weapons.
Lasgun can only shoot straight.
One is used to make sure that the person is absolutely dead
The other is used to destroy the tank
one kills the person in the tank
the other kills the tank
but yeah the exitus getting a new type of round
was not on my list of things in recent lore tbh
This is true
im trying to think if there's anything that really is comparable, im sure the Tankstopper Rifle is probably a deliberately lesser version of the exitus
non-projectile, there's still the Meltagun
handheld annihilator
in terms of sheer destructive power it probably is stronger but obviously not nearly as versatile
Jurgen's special
Vindicare can hand wrestling vs SM without armour (doesn't mean they can win a hand to hand combat). They are pretty strong.
"IT LOOKS LIKE CAIN IS IN TROUBLE... BUT HERE COMES JURGEN WITH THE MELTA!"
They probably have multiple tabs in their eyes
Let's be fair here
And they're all Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Oh wait
sometimes it really feels like the assassin writer was John GW's kid and he was just allowed to go completely nuts with what he was writing
😑
"and THESE assassins are so cool they can kill an entire craftworld and they dont afraid of anything"
but on principle they're cool
well that hasn't happened
yet

give it time
Nah, nowadays, they are a punching bag to show how OP someone is...
I like how the assassins in Rath's book struggle
when they're out of their element
now granted they're still like
I also find the differences of them funny.
Vindicare: "I assassinate my enemies sneakily without being notic-"
Eversor: "I AM SO FUCKING HIGH. I WANT TO KILL KILL KILL. WHERE ARE THE ENEMIES. KILL!"
absolutely horrifying killing machines
A SM that can out snipe a Vindicare, that SM is so OP!!!!
“Oh lovely, it’s killing time!”
-An eversor after waking up out of stasis
Basically if y'all played Trepang2.
I imagine that's what an Eversor is like
Still not as bad as the grand champion of making someone look cool
So, have you figure it out yet? If you want an easier way, you can pick either the axe or shovel from my pfp.
Yeah pretty much
If you haven't played Trepang2
Watch gameplay and then play it
What about swarmlord
second
He’s coming for the crown
These four are the embodiment of what i envision of College students in Fraternity groups
Honestly
I still think Avatar of Khaine wins out due to somehow being choked out despite being not organic in anyway
I actually like vanus temple best, information warfare done to an extreme is horrifying
how is an avatar that doesn't need to breathe getting choked out
Vanus temple is fun
It's an avatar of a God of War
I like how the Vanus in assasinorum uh
You’ll die due to a complex chain of events stemming from a piece of code being set to true, you don’t even know a hit was taken out on you
Work smarter not harder
real
Vanus: is when you max your speech check to kill your enemies
I wish there would be kingmaker 2 following the vanus
Vanus is cyberpunk tabletop...
Netrunner moment
is it true that they augmented themselves to get like dopamine or any positive reaction from getting information
Vanus will have bad time fighting anything outside of the imperium though.
noted
I have no idea.
But that actually fucking happened. As an insult to injury, FULGRIM IS THE ONE WHO CHOKED THE AVATAR OUT
I stll won't forget Legienstrasse, so bad of a fuck up that the only who walked away from that mess was Captain Lysander
I really wanna loose a rogue eversor on my party in my campaign just for fun as a horror element, but there’s no scenario where they survive, let alone beat it, probably wouldn’t be any fun for them
tau + imperium
both good
chaos isn't terrible
Depending what kind of Chaos.
me when media, corporate, Rocker and fixer are all one fucking party
Dark Ad mech, super effective. Chaos deamon? nah.
and they didn't confirm if they got every single one of Legienstrasse's spawn?
Now I want a dbd chapter with an eversor assassin
"Infocytes are said to hold the same relationship with raw information as an addict had with their chosen vice in the sense that they are enraptured by the idea of new data as well as what they could do to not only gather it but know it as well."
-Lex
It seems that it is a thing but probably not that apparent
yeeeeeep
well i would imagine generally you'd want to keep the assassins for domestic things anyway
sometimes GW just writes them as being stand-ins for entire armies but
tbh all the officio members are a bunch of sickos anyways lol
hopefully that remains the minority of instances
Legienstrasse story is so shit...
ಠ_ಠ
I really think they should retcon it, burn that story away.
The worst part is that is still not the worst the Avatar of Khaine has been through
and they take way too much enjoyment in it lol

Koln literally watches as she suffocates an entire room
and she's very happy with herself making them die horribly and slowly lol
"OH BOY MURDER!"
huffing that gas
Raithe is happy whenever he gets to blow someones head off
as expected
and sycorax is just a psycho lol
damn have they really not scaled-up terminators yet?
They have
Khorne looking at them with interest

Indomitus Terminator
there we go
oh cool
Get Shorty on the right over there
apparently its the exact same pattern of terminator armor in lore too
I assume the right is an old one.
And I must ask
Why is it going
"Cha Cha real smooth"
which makes you wonder how firstborn fit into them in the first place
Terminator so oiled he glides when he walks
Terminator armor gets resized
to fit its wearer
shorter/taller
Also the new terminators are much closer to artwork size
tbh
"SLIDE TO THE LEFT"
"SLIDE TO THE RIGHT."
"CRISS CROSS."
yeah but now im just thinking normal marines were in stilts the past 10,000 years
"huh this actually fits me a lot better now crazy"
yeah, i've seen some people ik who try to put Terminators on par with baseline Marines
"I'll be sure to win because my speed is superior" ahh
Terminators need heelies
gotta get em on brand
The current termie looks fine.
Y'know a Terminator fucking skating towards you genuinely sounds terrifying
Yes
Tbf baseline marines do have upsides
but also like
I saw this image and it reminded me of this model that came out a while back. How is this a servitor and not an assasin. I cant be the only one that thinks it looks nothing like what i imagine a servitor looking like.
in a straight fucking fist fight no lmao
Imagine like 50000 pounds coming at you with lightning claws
you are being clobbered to death if you're in normal power armor
i swear i remember an instance where the ground collapsed under a terminator
ah yeah that was a good read
Affirmative,’ replied Daellon and Telemenus together. The two of them opened fire, synchronising bursts between them. Brickwork turned to dust as Telemenus pounded the huts from outside while Daellon let fly through interior walls. A few sparks of las-bolts from a window two dozen metres ahead drew the attention of Telemenus. He returned fire, punching half a dozen bolts through the wall.
‘Some kind of sub-level here,’ reported Daellon. ‘Descending.’
‘Wait!’ yelled Telemenus, but his warning came too late. The audio pick-ups brought the sound of splintering woods and crumbling ferrocrete followed by an almighty crash.
Daellon cursed without pause over the vox.
‘Report,’ barked Arbalan.
‘Brother Daellon misjudged the load bearing of some internal stairs, brother-sergeant,’ said Telemenus, trying not to laugh. For once he was glad somebody else was attracting the negative scrutiny. There was a chuckle from Cadmael and a sigh from Arbalan.
‘Daellon, can you climb out?’ asked the sergeant.
‘Negative, a three metre drop at least. The floor will not hold my weight to pull myself up.’
‘No threats detected,’ Telemenus added, his auspex sensors encompassing the long row of huts.
‘Understood,’ said Arbalan. He sounded impatient. ‘Daellon, remain in place, I will signal for an armoury extraction team. Telemenus, rejoin the squad.
Nah
Imagine them skating
Like shadow the hedgehog
i like the idea of them all giggling like schoolgirls in their super deep voices all at once
"huhuhuh"
I mean
there's the uh
scene in the dante book
where Dante's entire squad are playing in the rain lmao because they've never seen it
translation- Telemenus: "hey Daellon...MOO MOO" Daellon: "FUCK OFF."
and they get yelled at
Tbf he was
New
At the job
And using T Armor
you don't exactly get trained in terminator armor in scout school, yeah
This, but RG...
those things are total pieces of shit
tbh
Metal is weak
it prolly does
but we never see it
because that is a really boring way to die lol
SM suddenly falls through like 15 different ships
makes you wonder why space marines insist on sending only terminators there
This makes the Space Hulk video game even more disappointing
Because it would've been funny if there were noticably weak spots on the floor
maybe its all a way for them to write-off old terminator suits so they get new ones
well
Also would've been funny
In Space Hulk videogame, they sent the fking Death Wings...
on the battle barge: "Did you find the sergeant's signal?" Helmsman: "he's floating starboard side, my lord" Terminator drifting in space
i swear they said it was because space hulks have radiation out the wazoo
like elephant's foot levels that only terminators can survive
but i checked the lexi page recently and instead all i saw was "they're just sooooo dangerous"
Well both that and y'know
It's in space
Well the warp/space
Probably no oxygen
space marine power armor is still void-rated
maybe not chernobyl rated, but void-rated
Nah, SM is supposed to be functional even if they are naked in space...
Tbf that's mainly because Tyranids, Daemons, and Orks love being there
For
Some fucking reason
Idk why
How they do it? Ask the dudes who wrote the lores...
functional, no, they have to go into comas to survive that
do orks get cancer?
But why are there Tyranids there
No. They're fungi.
Even if they did they probably wouldn't care
Eh, you don't know some funny old lore then...
The idea of like
Ghazkhgull fucking dying of cancer is funny to me for some reason
"shuldnt have gotten on dat space hulk..."
i actually dont know if space hulk radiation is canon
if it ever was, or still is
i just vaguely remember that
space marines might essentially just send in terminators for shits and giggles
Yeah they are
Since y'know Imperium ships contain radiation
And now they're fucking broken and smashed together
Gonna not be good
I would like to 3D print this one some day. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/female-vindictive-assassin-pose-1
hmm...dunno about the helmet, 'sides that looks neat
So this new game mode is training to be a 'mortis agent'?
What is a mortis agent?
Is that an established thing in 40k or is this new?
I don’t recall it being mentioned prior but it’s basically just elite Killteam stuff
It sounds cool and all that
The Mortis preorder gear talks about the Mortis Squad or whatever being a special group in the retinue
I love creature commandos
yea he's got that skibidog in him
SHUT UP
I sentence: death
bro some people are insane like, really ai generated?
Kar as an accomplice for sharing this filth
like the game literally shows you straight up
you are set in a world that is literally a wasteland and you are in a giant metal city
**** you mean add a forest
yes
but the reason I asked is because I assumed the coc I mentioned are daemon princes, but they are not
so its all good

is there a lore reason as to why Sefoni can't stop fucking moaning in the Mortias Trials OST like please restrain yourself
She just freaky like that
die
do Melk and Hallowette draw straws to know which one of them is cleaing Sefoni's tank after she's done with the trials ?
bold of you to assume it is cleaned
at least change her water
I could see a mission set in some botanical gardens for nobles in the upper hive. We are mostly playing in the lower hive as of now, right?
Throneside is somewhat higher but yeah
even if you add something like that they will still complain
darktide "players" are never happy
Truly grim.
Showed my friend this and they said it belongs to the techpriests given how ancient this technology is (this is from highschool and still works)
I would like to see a botanical garden being corrupted into a garden of nurgle or something like that
yeah that would be great
One of Atoma's moon. Atrox could work
oh that sounds great
We don't know for sure if it's a forested world atm. But it might
its crazy how the steam forums have the dumbest people and the worst opinions
that's why I have device a torture method where someone is only given nutrients every time they read something dumb in the steam forums
the government hasn't approved of it yet for some reason
the best part is its the same in every single steam game lol
Torment Nexus ass device
OOOO RECYCYLING
Recycling has finally reached 2 more territories in the UK!
Terrarecycle, a month away!
Also the recycle doenst accept forgeworld resin which. Is the funniest thing ever to me
government moment
A material so shitty even gw can’t get someone to recycle it
it makes for a potent gas weapon though
I can’t believe one of the primary ingredients in mustard gas is a Deredeo dreadnought
On similar news, the US marines made a wargame to teach young people warfare tactics lmao
It’s so blatantly evil the armynews website said ‘marines made wargame to recruit bloodthirsty nerds’
the suicide bomber rolled A 6 so therefore he will take out basically your entire squad but your coordinated firing ability can prevent this
Bringing my homebrew Taliban warband to the gulf war gaming event
i need to bring my German ork tank regiment
lmfao WHAT
“Why do the marines get a model every month! My Korean People's Army Ground Force army hasn’t been updated since 2003”
i looked in it and this is what i found
i don't know how true it is though
THEY CHANGED NERds to LEADER SAHAHAHHAHA
Bro they’re introducing it to France and the US before Northern Ireland
idk, forge world resin honestly pretty nice!
U mean finecast maybe?
Based
Bae-sed
Six years as marine infantry leaving as sergeant now teaches wargaming ok how many guard models does this man own
Man I cannot get enough of that final wave theme from the Mortis Trials. Kyd you’ve continued to prove your immaculate art of music
Sefoni fucking locks in
He should consider making it a career
in the later waves
I don’t normally say this, but I think he might have a future in this industry
They are selling warhammer larp gear
I can not imagine the cross over between historical larpers and warhammer old world fans isn’t one you would want to interact with lmao
real well made replicas cost a small fortune so
at least the historical accurate ones do
Knowing GW, their larp gear will be more expensive than real reproduction stuff.
most definitely
It's not GW who's selling those, they're just collabing with Burgschneider
Yee
This year brings home The Old World in a new way, with Costuming, Armour, LARP Safe Weapons, and Accessories from the Empire of Man. Designed with the durability and functionality Burgschneider is best known for, these costumes find themselves at home in a range of activies from Tabletop Sessions to LARP and Cosplay
The medieval larp accessories store near my place is a high quality one and it is already pricey, while having insanely good reviews and recommendations.
weapons are foam but the armours are metal
I guess they went w ith old world because it’s mostly cloth, so it’s probably easier to produce
Also makes empire vs empire make more sense
also because it's mostly based on historical designs
which is 10 times easier to make real world stuff with
Yes, which is already in production.
Cities is too just a much later era of armor and probably a pain to make
Also the helmets would be hell
They pass the look time for the durability test
I don’t think the cities helmets are based off anything realistic
They're based on generic kettle helmets
Honestly though, 40K metallic accessories are not hard to make, beside the power armours of course.
Cities is more based of the 16th(?) or 17th(?) 15th century
I might be wrong
But the
Gun knights
Google lied lmao
15th sounds right,
Very hussite maxxing
Yeha but they got all the shit ontop of it too
It is anywhere from the 14th to 17th centuries.
That's just Warhammer flair
Like the breastplate only riflemen are from later period.
Good to point out hammerhal specifically uses steel
For armor
Which idk if that means anything historically
But they point it out
They very much feel like super fantastical 15th century boyes
Historically, other people have also used steel
Very historical
Steel is generally 99% iron...
Don’t tell coal that
Me but it’s with Titanium and people think it was always an alloy and not a chemical element
I get the opposite... People always think that commonly used titanium is pure. Pure titanium is weak, slightly better than aluminum.
Most of the titanium in use is alloyed to give it the strength to weight ratio that people know of.
How does iron become steel?
Ghur settlements specifically use iron instead of steel
At least iron jawz and uhhh
Excelsis
Steel is pretty much the term used for all of iron alloys nowadays. It is about the carbon content in the iron alloy.
Having even 0.10% carbon mass in the alloy is enough to be called steel.
Pre-industrial era, it is extremely difficult to get carbon content lower than 0.40%, so all claims of "they used iron before steel", are bs.
In case of that, it could be cast iron, which has more 1.7% carbon mass in the alloy.
Ah makes sense
With modern technology, there are alloys with more than 2% carbon that behave more like "steel" and nothing like "cast iron".
Even in the past, people didn't have that much technology to completely purify materials.
Wait so have space marine chapters in the dark imperium been able to upgrade to primaris marines?
The only pure metals that I can think of are lead, silver, gold and aluminum.
yeah
blood angels are trapped in the dark imperium side and they upgraded
Basically all of them have the tech
Custodes Torchbearer fleets seeked out all they could
Often with primaris reinforcements
Oh so i guess travel in the dark imperium isn't too bad then
And Guilliman got the Indomitus crusade through to the other side and met with Dante or am I misremembering shit
It is
If you have a top of the line fleet...
It’s just they put a lot of effort into getting it there
It wasn’t a simple task
But enough got through and it’s spread
Sigh alright.
There’s still plenty without much primaris tech but most at least can make them
They can request it as well, it takes a while for the delivery, but it will arrive.
"one order of big dudes please. Express delivery."
So far the Custodes express works well, not many parcels have been destroyed.
There’s still some chapters like SW who are divided on them but, a lot weren’t in much position to refuse
Especially in Nihlius
Yeah i read that like 94% of chapters are cool with them
Idk about cool but they can’t really afford to reject it
a Black Templar crusade force also killed the primaris sent to them
The 13th BC took a huge toll on most
Custodes Express, the voice of the Emperor has reached you.
it does say that fleets expecting to reach a chapter that might spazz and try to refuse primaris are given extra-large custodes details
Plus the rubicon surgery allows firstborn to glam up
Custodes are good at convincing those who might disagree yeah
kindve a dick move honestly, what did the primaris ever do to them?
I'm just tryna figure out Muh Homebroo Lore
Well the chaplain who ordered it was a little nutty
BT be like that
Helbrecht would have killed the dude himself if he didn’t die before then
Didn't they kill the custodes, but then pretty much shamed for that?
They did, and the primaris
generally as of the current age no chapter lacks primaris for any reason except out of choice
They managed to almost wiped out the crusade before that though
There was like four guys left of 100
Against a Custodes and like 40 primaris iirc
If you want to do a chapter without primaris, they’d probably have to be on the far fringes
Yeah, the surviving DT got shamed afterwards.
I'm just trying to figure out how much time has past between the appearance of the great rift and "the present day"
They covered it up in the end
which present day
Like 20ish years
16-20
Exactly 😎
I thought the BT had more than 100, it was a big company by BT standard.
It’s been about that long since the rift opened
It was a small crusade
BT crusades aren’t consistent in size
I dunno if i can talk homebrew here or if anyone wants to hear.
The Marshal I believe was turned on by the Chaplain, but it’s been a minute
turned on?
You can talk, normally we don’t use audio though
I was playing SC2, fking Dark Templar then Black Templar...
I’m gonna turn my foot on your ass
Yeah I figured lol
Sorry i meant if the lore channel is appropriate for homebrew discussion lol
Totally yes
We talk about a lot less lore connected stuff here
It's been done before, homebrew stuff in here
This chat is wild, yet civilized, unlike Zealot chat...
Kind of expected when sentient tools talk with an iron hand a clown some guy that is building a giant religious war machine and and ironjaw
We are like psychologically
Different
Conversations here can go from insane to somehow the most tame conversations around
... Just checked zealot chat. Venom butts and anime girl memes all over. The degeneration over there has no bounds...
Aight well my homebrew chapter was split in half by the great rift, and absolutely decimated down to 175 members. So the companies on the imperium side would definitely have primaris by now.
@rocky gale, it seems they have a different plan for the pink gits
For total war
So it seems the masque might be a free legendary lord
Oh is that the elf champion
Yep that unlucky high elf
I was right!
She's going to be the slannesh legendary lord for the next dlc
im thinking that shes gonna be focused on mortal units like arbaal and tamurkhan
She's also notorious for making poisons
1st and 7th company survived on the imperium side with about 95 men, and 3rd and 4th company survived on the dark side with 80 men.
3rd company confirmed the destruction of 6th company, so for the last 20ish years, the chapter would be trying to confirm the whereabouts of 2nd and 5th company.
So would the imperium just say "forget 2nd and 5th company, here's your new primaris replacements."?
not necessarily
they may've not gotten enough primaris to completely restore their ranks
Yeah, I'm wondering if the imperium has been able to stuff all chapters to full strength with primarises, or just been able to spread the information to everyone.
Maybe being able to poison your own troops to buff them quite dramatically
Who is she gonna be against ? High Elf or something ?
I kind of skip the whole thing but here's the video where i got it from

Hot on the heels of Patch 6.1, we're back in the recording studio to chat about patches, betas and what's next for WARHAMMER III! 👀

I like

Glad you do
Probably not all, I don't think the Celestial Lions got their primaris reinforcements in the end, not for a lack of trying. There's likely some at the ass end of nowhere who didn't get anything
Holy shit that first guy sending the other devs into the ether is a wizard
They did get the tech
From the Spears no?
But their area didn’t get its reinforcements I don’t think
Yeah the tech was spread around
Not all chapters got a direct visit, just the tech often
Marines Malevolent is another example
They found a single Custodes survivor guarding it
I just figure there's a chance for a more isolated chapter who didn't get reinforcements or the tech from a mishap or a bureaucratic mistake
So like they got the data needed to make primaris and the weargear?
so has their ever been any instances of chaos astartes being forced to using lesser guns like a stubber due to not having the supply to have bolter ammunition
I think Chaos SM have used anything they've gotten their hands on. But Chaos chapters have their own forge worlds and like daemon tech.
that specific instance im not sure of, it's not like they can just pick up a normal human's gun off the ground
Yes
most warbands do plenty of looting, however
It’s a big thing in Black Crusade
Lacking ammo and supplies
It’s the main downside of CSM not in a “rich” warband
Mostly we’re seeing the Legion CSM who are super well supplied in comparison
yes but where are they going to get an astartes-sized stubber
Heavy stubber
Theres cases of marines using lasguns even when they’re in need
They just break off the trigger guard
I think it depends on the faction. I'm pretty sure Nurgle and tzeentch units can warp their weapons a bit to shoot non ammo consuming projectiles
looting is one of the big universal unfortunate truths of being chaos
The point being, we’re not typically seeing the actually dogshit chaos Warbands
We’re seeing the best
most chaos warbands can still be outfitted just enough for their various jobs
only the most unlucky would be stuck without boltguns long-term
the Chaos Economy is pretty casual in this way: chaos marines raid and steal crap, and sell off what they don't need (commonly captives) to the dark mechanicum forgeworlds in exchange for ammo
and weapons
See thats why Nurgle warbands can be so low effort. You can just throw poop and sneeze on your enemies and you're still super effective.
A lot can, but the question was if some would be that desperate
Which there are
Most don’t have access to a Hellforge or whatever for example
It’s the big advantage loyalists have, they’re almost all better trained and supplied as a baseline
Yeah but if your a plague marine, you can puke on any captured weapon and double its damage.
Not quite that’s simple but Plague Marines tend to be the more well supplied anyways
The warp enhanced marines are the outliers mostly
The elite
is their any estimate as to where and how many heretic forge worlds there are and wouldnt they be like one of the highest priorities to get rid of
"You spend a lot of that time fighting the Sons of Horus because they're weak, and getting weaker. You kill them and take their ships, their worlds, their fortresses, their equipment. You make deals with worlds settled by the Dark Mechanicum. Other times, you invade those worlds, for supplies. Other times, the Mechanicum breaks its oaths to you, screwing you over, because that particular forge, that particular leader, or that particular world had a better offer from a stronger warband. Or because they secretly hated you. Or because of reasons you never find out.
You raid the Imperium a lot, for vengeance, for supplies, for slaves, for territory, and to teach them the truth behind reality. Maybe you do it for the glory of the Dark Gods, to please them, or maybe you do it for yourself, to make life better, easier, or to humiliate a rival who lost a fight against that world or fleet in times past. Maybe you do it because there's pressure from several Aspiring Champions and squad leaders that are inciting the troops into believing you're weak, and should be removed from your position as co-leader. You need a show of strength. Soldiers need victories."
What It's Like is still one of my favorite write-ups
a lot of them are also in the eye of terror
aka unreachable
Yeah it’s a great little piece
Bro tryna get an accurate count of anything in the warp is like fistfighting the ocean.
There are enough that they can destroy as many as they need for the narratives.
are their atleast any notable ones
