SoB exist at least very closely secondarily because GW wants sex to sell
Now they need to make their table top and lore a little better.
Also correct
they basically exist as the "girl army"

its why so many dumbass guys go "just play sisters if you are a girly girl"
literally if you pretend fanart didnt exist the horniest thing about SoB is just having rosery nipples
obnoxious af
Their lore are usually funny, and their table top always get hard nerf the moment they are good.
And the armor in general being unrealistically formed
But yeah
They take the breastplate literally.
GAH SO SEXY IM GONNA COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Also, their bolter has goofy name...
some of the Sisters of Silence art is horny as fuck i love it
they literally treat psykers like gimps

LMAO
Or the assassin one?
"Slaanesh is the freakiest faction" says the fake WH fan gooner
Ventres
We call them losers
Yes
JACK ENJOYERS RISE UP
Ventress gets hair in the newest season of the Clone War though.
Somehow, she returned.
I don't think so
I think bad batch happened before she went and tried to kill Dooku
Dooku is already dead as Anakin is already Darth Vader.
when has a starwars character died for longer than 15 minutes
Who would win in a fight, Watto from Star Wars or the Emperor of Mankind
A bit of a toss up if you ask me
acutally this applies to most scifi settings
Anakin didn't turn into vader until the very end of CLone wars
But he killed Dooku long before the order 66.
After her apparent death and the end of the Clone Wars,[62] Ventress continued her travels covertly on a personal starship and with a new yellow lightsaber.
Never mind
I didn't watch bad batch s2 and 3
Yes, hence the "somehow".
I thought the timeline was different
Disney Star Wars moment
Death isn't real
Unfortunately Dark Disciple sucks and Ventress ||dieing to save Quinlan Vos is dumb||, so everyone should ignore it
it's romantic

Bruh it's Quinlan Vos
I don't even know who that is
Bro fell to evil and named himself Admiral Enigma
He deserves to die
Not for being evil, for being cringe
Admiral Enigma?
Yea
Vos is really a hypocrite of a character.
Disgusting
Can't blame him, you obviously never spent that much time around a baddie
He tried to do the morale high ground on people while he turns his coats more than the machine can wash.
He not a hypocrite
Just like fell to bad
It happens
Quite a lot
Sith are alluring
Sure they kill each other all the time
Wait actually
Litterally hot
Chat is he cooked
Heās legendary
RAIDER
Ew who started talking about Star Wars
Palpatine
The wicked and the damned, is that one of the most powerful single space marine monsters?
?
Becoming an entire space station
Bro is there a friend with u, whatever you took?
Donāt go near any ledges
Turns into a demon prince/ daemonhost, gets stuck on another ship by protag, except for a chunk of tentacle, tentacle gets put in bin, tentacle takes over an entire space station, turning into a flesh hellhole ala SH2
Just say you haven't read it?
I canāt read
Bone conduction headphones?
This plot though I should say sounds a lot like the 80s movie masterpiece Leviathan
I have actually had an idea of sorts
Basically uh
DAoT ship crash lands on planet.
Planet turns out to be less than hospitable to the humans there.
The crew slowly die in painful ways.
The AI of the ship loves the crew. Will do anything to keep them alive, safe, and happy.
ANYTHING.
A voices comes out from the sky. A gurgling, but gentle voice.
Omg
"I have the power to save your crew."
I like it
Slaanesh or Nurgle both work. Tzeentch, even.
AI firstly refuses it, tries to deny it, but as the captain dies. The AI gives up and takes it.
The crew is... "alive" but undying. Some part of their biology, maybe due to advanced vaccinations of something, prevents them from feeling the euphoric "joy" that Nurgle people often have.
So they're alive but suffering. They feel every moment. They CAN'T die.
But the AI, fully on Chaos and Delulu juice, is fine with this. They're alive. They're happy.
They're... safe.
This sound like some BDSM cult stuff.
Thereās so much narrative potential at the weird fringes of 40K lore like the daot ais
Slaanesh version - crew is trapped in an Euphoric dream world, their souls slowly devoured by Slaanesh as the AI keeps the crew asleep but alive in their survival pods.
Tzeentch version - the crew are mutated beyond human form to survive the new planet and brainwashed to be happy
Or are "happy in insanity"
Khorne would be like:
"TOUGHEN UP BITCH BOYS. HERE'S SOME STEROIDS"

I want to see a really insidious Slaanesh or Tzeentch corruption case where no one on the planet / city / whatever has mutations or any of that shit
But their thought processes and morality are just subtly but horribly off
Like some Midsommar kind of thing
To be honest the problem is that's a bit hard considering the average Imperial city is already
miserable
full of brainwashed people

Yeah but the ordinary people have like⦠normal default human morality as we see over and again
Theyāre just oppressed
And brainwashed yes
Idk it would be hard to pull off
I guess for Tzeentch, the city just casually defys space and logic
The alleyway suddenly goes to the local fucking pawn shop
Changes everyday
Yeah anything more subtle than MUTANT CHAOOS PEOPLE
@opaque coyote "Beyond the Aquila Rift" from Love Death and Robot.
Similar to my idea?
Yes
Interesting
Is this silly cartoon worth watching people mention it a lot
Yes
Tank
It makes you ask many philosophical questions about live.
T-34/85!
Like Black Mirror except not becoming mid?

Depend on episode
Yeah makes sense.
Some are better than other
Also I want to say this for no reason.
I think BioShock 2 is better than BioShock Infinite
Bioshock 3 is an unfinished game.
How dare u
I mean yeah.
Story also kinda sucks ass
For Infinite
Listen there is like zero stakes since they casually switch between universes
Bioshock infinite big boob blue dress girl
Why the fuck should I care about Vox Populi and Columbia if you can literally just
Dimension travel out of there
... Isn't she under age.
Yeahhhh
Although the level design is a bit repetitive at times
BioShock 1's story is great
But I definitely think that 2 shouldn't have been relegated to being the black sheep
Ironically would be best fate compared to the other 3.
He wanted the Blood Angels asw
Cause he failed to get Sanguinus
He just didn't get them successfully
Oh
World Eater were his back up choice
So the world eaters are the second choice?
Yeah
Immagine if the Blood angels had Angron as a Primarch
@celest dome honestly I'm just sad that Tzeentch didn't also go after the Alpha Legion
OR MAYBE HE DID???
vine thud
They would probably just all die
But seriously though
Angron would have killed them all
Lol
And theyād have let him
The BA pre sanguinius were ready to get purged from imperial history for their brutality and crimes lol
Another thing I never got frankly
Khorne wants the blood angels so bad
I think they mean more about what if Sanguinus haf become a Khornate Deamon Prince d
They were also already red
Gentlemen prefer blondes
Nah they said this
And Khorne is a gental man
And the reality would be the BA would have been fully killed by angron lol
I mean the blood Angels also literally drink blood

Either that or theyād try to kill him and eat him
Probably a brawl
More likely just theyād all let themselves die
There's also the element of the other chaos gods work against eachother, so they're not gonna be keen on letting eachother claim too much.
^
They gang up on eachother when one starts getting ahead.
Would anyone like to read my (mostly) completed one shot?
The moment he asks his legion to cull themselves, they would all go into black rage and killing each other.
No one survives.
The plans to corrupt each primarch they did were pretty elaborate and took some time.
40k is an eternal TTRPG session and they're not ending it by one player somehow winning

šš»
But only if you give feedback on my Splinterfleet lore
Did Angron ask that ?
Not wrong
Deal
So who goes first
That would be cool
That's what I recall.
It would be extremely funny if the Chaos Gods literally just saw themselves as like
Regular people.
The warp is simply a table.
They're all roommates
Alright, but fair warning, itās pretty disorganized, I tried to clean it up a bit
I recall you've been working on it a while
What kills me is that each and every primarch does what he does for DADDY issues
Do you want it dmād?
Except Konrad
Perturabo is the one I think of
Konradās just Sadic
Mhm mhm
I'll read it in bits and pieces as I have time to
Post in chat if you want as well
40k would've been much less exciting if the Emperor was actually a decent Dad
Iām fine with that
Quite few Primarch could really be mentioned as having daddy issues.
Mostly just Perturabo and Lorgar
Tbf for Lorgar
His dad caused most of the issues LMAO
I mean
There would still be Orks, Tyranids and Necromancer to deal with
"Hey Dad I made a book praising you as a G-"
YOU'RE A FUCKING MISTAKE. I'M BURNING DOWN YOUR CITY!
The only factions I see working āTogetherā are Tāau, Aeldar, Imperium and the (Newly Refound) Votanns
IF the Emperor was a good dad
Kor phaeron raising him also didnt help
The Imperium is too racist to work with anybody for longer than like
One war
@noble salmon @young pecan dmād it to yāall
The T'au are the definition of
Thanks
"it's my way or the highway"
Still better than most where it's just the highway tho

So long as the war never ends, the alliance can stay
ORKS AND TYRANIDS ARE ALLIES
Instead of āI donāt care what you pick, Iām killing youā
No one can tell me ptherwise
They don't understand that having cheap Dark elf pos is a good deal.
Nah.
Orks don't really ally with other races.
They wanna fight.
Tyranids don't ally with other races.
They wanna eat.
I mean, they each want to win over the other one
Orks might keep nids around since then bugeyes and the bugeye boyz are always a good scrap, but thatās about it
Octarious War
Nids will just eat
Literally the best thing that happened to them both was fighting each other
That wasnāt an alliance, it was more like gaslighting
That only fucked the imperium
In a weird kinky way
I feel like thatās the opposite logic
Necrons don't usually ally with other races.
They can barely ally with each other.
Tau, on the other hand
Orks are gonna fight anything thatās fun for them to fight, until it stops being fun, or stops being
I wonder if Tyranids see different chapters as different flavors
Lmaoooo
I mean they literally are made of mostly human thoughts and emotions (and souls) at the moment
Well Slaanesh has a lot of stinky elves
Maybe not tyranids but perhaps kroot
They do target them specifically
We know the hive mind was especially malicious towards the BA for example
And it also tracked down and sent a male petit to kill a Librarian
Iām leaving the Typo for contest
Rathalos compared to Rathian/j
Rathalos just flies like coward
Tyranids go for Blueberry and Strawberry
Itās also smaller
And less muscular
Except itās 10x more annoying and the fire hurts so much
Tbf both of them do that
Whatās a Rathalos?
Itās a monster from monster hunter
Wilds is the newest one, you should play it
Between the older mainline games imo 4U is best but itās 3ds only
For the older best game from the secondary team generations ultimate
I should try Titanfall as well
But monster hunter wilds is def the newest and most beginner friendly
@opaque coyote late, but 40k would be far better if Emps was an Asian dad.
Yes you know what I am talking about.
āHorus, Y u listen to the weird dreams? Wat are u STOOPID?ā
Cool
insert meme about that one bomb bird and its entrance theme
Bazelgeuse was the king of not minding its own damn business
Titanfall is 3$ on steam
Iām an XBOX Player
And sticking its damned beak up yours. The number of times it just air strikes when I was only gathering stuffā¦
Still one of the best roars
really cool that its an air raid siren
Relic hunting was kinda ass but 4U was indeed great. It kinda looks like the CB has been brought back to its 4U form in Wilds. Although I dunno if it still deals the ludicrous amount of stun it used to in 4U.
MH wilds is pretty much a successor to 4U tbh
in a lot of ways
the choice of environments, the relic weapons, though this time they're all in the same Artian style
I just wish I liked Wilds art direction
really wish gammoth was here though
The murder mammoth
but she really would not fit in the cliffs
Wonder if Jho is coming back
hoping she shows up in master rank though....
if i had to guess probably not
I'll probably try the game when master rank comes out. And it's on discount.
Rathalos is so fucking goated
gravios is based cause it's fat and kicked my ass badly in freedom unite
id believe it, look at bloodthirsters
Lol
gravios is really cool, too bad he dies in like two minutes when you use a water weapon
Hey @arctic talon does the twistweald have any place in the Sylvaneth meta? Their ability seems really good
Ice, Iām not sure how compact Sylvaneth play I was curious because their decrease charge ability
I think that was an ability kruleboyz had last edition, but I might be thinking of a different faction
Maybe Gloomspite
I find the concept of stealthy space marines to be very funny
always have
bit of an oxymoron
I read some hema anecdote where some cavalry guys in heavy armour managed to sneak around using terrain so it's somewhat plausible
But it's 40k and it's cool so it works
It definitely works better in Warzones, you have literal tank columns which snuck around behind enemy lines in some battles in World War II
I swore to god there was lore that thier power packs muted out the sound of their armor
They are
Corvus pattern is built for it and RG have special made suits even then
As well as other silenced gun variants, like Astartes shotguns
And modified jump packs which dampen noise and light, stuff like that.
Although tbh they mostly arenāt going for always being silent, just striking and fading back and hitting the enemy again from a different position
The RG homeworld is a forgeworld so they get a lot of custom stuff
Sounds like a load of hooey; big armor big dude big noise
Ur gonna make big noise when eternal foots ur ass
Shout out to Michelangelo. When the Popeās Master of Ceremonies said the Sistine Chapel was too scandalous because of the nudity and that he wanted to destroy it, Michelangelo painted his likeness into the Last Judgement portion of the Chapel as being in Hell with donkey ears and a snake eating his genitals.
When the guy demanded that the Pope force Michelangelo to remove his likeness from the painting, the Pope (who loved Michelangeloās work) humorously replied that he couldnāt do that because the Pope have the power to take people out of Hell.
No idea how tf you would silence a bolter... or why. Like guns are already loud with silencers. Imagine trying to quiet a Bolter.
But I'm not the Sneaky Raven Guard (tm)
I mean TBF Deathwatch have those sniping Boltguns, presumably they MIGHT have built in silencers (and guns with silencers built into them at construction do exist)
You also have the Heresy era Sniping Bolt rifles
instead of going deaf and blind when a boltgun is fired next to your head you just go deaf
To be honest high power snipers usually are used far away so silencers make sense
Also seriously a Deathwatch game would be sick
Like come on that has so much potential
Why don't we have that GW?

Because message unclear, more Ultramarines, more Titus :p
They can use Xenos weapons (if Radical)
Imagine how fucking cool it would be to casually use a T'au pulse rifle
Like you scavenge it from dead T'au and now it's permanently in your armory
Or a Necron Blade
Or even a Deldar weapon (the more useful ones)
Do you know how cool it would be to mix and match that type of shit?
I will be honest I am sincerely surprised looted pulse rifles are not more common in lore.
Necron blades, DW already uses thatā¦
Drukhari weapons, I think the only reason that would fail, is IoM cannot actually make ammo for that
Pulse rifle ammo is definitely in IoM tech territory
They use slugs no explosive
Subsonic
Probably because "Xenos bad I hate Xenos" but they do exist
That makes more sense
I mean tbh I want either a DW or a CSM Space Marine type game
I technically said SM twice but the second time was to specify what type

Anyways, playing as Chaos would be cool
Imagine using Daemon Weapons
And it'd be a true opportunity to show even more grimdark(tm).
Because the Imperium are the poster boy faction. You can't have them look too bad in ADVERTISING.
But Chaos?

MAIM KILL BURN
MAIM KILL BURN

I mean, in the current climate, you would be a bit hard pressed to tell GW they can get away with Chaos protag š
But in principle, yes, Chaos game would be cool.
Like... There's more breathing room to do morally questionable things
For example, friendly fire
Maybe you could just
Massacre the traitor guard NPCs
It's not like anybody would blame you for being inefficient. Or at least have them do something wrong
You're Chaos!
Say it was the dark Gods will.
Also using Dark Sorcery and Psyker shit would be really cool
I really want a Deathwatch XCOM-like game
[99% chance to hit]
misses several times
fucking dies
You already have the classes, chapter modifiers
Lots of customization and different armor types
The percentages are only reliable if you are flanking, is what I found.
The hit chance is a hit chance, which is not inclusive of the enemy dodge chance.
Youāve lost over 90% of your party to one fightā¦
TOTAL VICTORY
To this day I still don't know what's funnier
Win screens that still congratulate you even though you did shit
Or Win Screens that specifically change if you did shit
Sonic Unleashed is a case of the latter btw.
There are different versions of the victory theme depending on the rank. The worse the rank is, the shittier the song is
So if you get the lowest rank, you get this version of the song
Game: Sonic Unleashed
Music: Result Screen (E-Rank)
They specifically made the orchestra play off tune and shitty just so that they can say "YOU SUCK"
Sadly Unleashed is the only game with an E ranking
The lowest in most modern Sonic Games is a D rank
Mod this to play on a XCom2 code blackā¦
Took a sec, but I got it.
Causes ptsd flashbacks across the globe
Game was actually amazing despite its issues on a particular console port lol
Full support to this if it involves fighting some of the really horrific minor xenos like Enslavers and Slaught
decided to revisit MW2019 after not playing it for almost four years...somehow i still had more fun playing this than any of the recent titles.
still angry they limited the shadow company skins to fucking master prestige in the later titles
the 2019 SC look so much better than their older counterparts
yeah that was BS. We should've just gotten the Milsim skin as a participation reward for that Shadow Siege event. and with the amount NPC variants you find in the game, it tells me they had enough to make it their own faction instead of that weird Specgru and Kortac.
and man Velikan's design in MW2 Reboot just doesn't work for me compared to his launch skin
does he have reactive armour on his suit
Similar to the original MW2
They got a game that revolutionized the formula
Tried new things that revitalized the franchise
...
And then beat it like a dead horse
Such is the lifespan of a franchise
it kinda looks like it, the stuff on tanks, so its a bit weird.
Idea for a sect of the cult mechanicus; the Reclaimer Cults
A sect of the cult mechanicus known for their obsession for salvage, innovation, reverse engineering and the scientific method. The priests of this sect have come to a different understanding of mechanicus doctrine; where they take the functions of old technology and expound on existing theory. They ask questions, often, annoyingly so. They are cursed with curiosity as they take ancient tech apart for study and the creation of new variants of old tech. The Reclaimers donāt touch alien tech, and still hate the xenos with a passion; however, recently due to dwindling resources, some very small segments of the reclaimers have been sanctioned to make small discoveries concerning on how to combat the xenos by taking apart their technology. The Lord Fabricator of the Reclaimers, Commodus-22, hopes to compile a large database of their discoveries and send it to Holy Terra to lord Belisarius Cawl and Gulliaman to share their groundbreaking research. Most have a rather great relationship with the inquisition, the ordo mechanicus and ordo xenos in particular due to the effectiveness of their research and the results theyāve been getting. However, if a puritan inquisitor were to so much as sniff in the direction of the Reclaimers, the whole cult could be sanctioned for tech heresy; if they took the time to investigate further than their documentation, which has the appropriate dogma and the dates have been pushed back into ancient past for their own protection. The Reclaimers are characterised for their white robes with crimson trim, and polished implements in stainless steel and chrome; they are unusually clean, sterile and precise. They are often seen obsessively calibrating and cleaning their instruments when not conducting experiments and tests.
Itās a lot like Forgeworld Stygius, be a good setting for them
Iād just add more, collecting data obsessively is pretty much the Ad Mechs MO
the sterility is a fun angle to go with
maybe their cult bases are considered hazardous for normal people because the extents they go to keep their places clean use dangerous chemicals
It's more about how their data is collected and how much they have. Especially on things like safer and more stable plasma weapons and the similarities between xenos tech and humanity's during the golden and dark age of technology
Their obsession on STC tech lead to them reverse engineering on how to create them to a small extent; thus allowing the manufacturering of smaller, simpler blueprints and constructs for commonly broken pieces of equipment that the average citizen can repair
They basically make instruction manuals for vehicles, appliances, and other things that can be repaired by people othrr than tech priests, due to the limited resources of their home region
After ive read mechanicum i got really sad because i realized how much technological advancement actually got lost during the great betrayl....
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.
Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already sa...
That is the book that really hits it home, yea.
And also shows exactly how bad Scrapcode is.
Mechanicus memes are appreciated but this looks more like something out of Metal Slug franchise š
Biovores
the ultimate form of necromancy. Crabnomancy
I want to have a tide game where this is a Monster we can face
it would be fun yeah
Might be too big though
just use the smaller ones
i can see a rotting promethean working
But they're less impressive
Ideally I'd want small monster being able to Spawn on any map, and big monster that can Spawn on certain map segments
So Rotting Leviathan, Necrofex Collosus...
to be fair with giant things like that
we can just try to design maps around it
like you know dealing with the rat mage that has a rat ogre with double gatling guns
Somewhat like Lords, ye that could work too
Think they had a chance for that when the last map came out, in the arena before the final battle
What's DT's Mission Cannon order? What the our reject's first mission, and what Mission got them accepted officially in the Warband.
Who would win, an Ork boy or 7,000 crabs
that's A LOT of crabs
Exactly
just hands?
In that case, my money is on the Crabs.
an ork boy is strong like easily RIP a human's limbs and survives a hit that can cave in a human headstrong
but just like ripper swarms death by 1000 cuts
I do feel Crabs are small enough to be able to avoid an Orkās strength
serious answer, no
Kinda like the ripper swarm situation.
crabs aren't THAT tough
I canāt help but feel an Ork could just sweep through them
nah if they are crabs big enough to physically hurt an ork the ork can physically kick them around and throw them
Ok good point
crabs are also not particularly fast
Okay so in this scenario for sake of a reason to defend itself the crabs do have a sense of āthis ork is food we must kill it for foodā but other than that theyāre just baseline crabs, theyāre slow and can be stepped on
In that case the casualties will be immense but The thing is if you're just going with an ork boy like slugga boy ork boy
He is not as experienced as fighting as his other peers and he will be eventually overwhelmed
I only say that so itās an actual fight instead of a room with 7,000 crabs and an Ork that just happen to be together
even in an open field where he is surround he can definitely take down a good number of them but
since these crabs hurt him it's literally gonna be a death by 1000 cuts
Iāll ask you this then, how many crabs would it take to be a 50/50 chance for either to win
Do I look like I know
Yes
Well unfortunately just like an orc I have limited mental faculties so i don't know
Objectively you do look like you would know about fighting crabs
yeah but i don't do math
And logistics
Oh good point
i get a sharp axe
And slice the thing in front of me repeat until I become a powerful warlord
No canonical order, and even maps that were around since game release have constantly been updated or changed.
I mean, why not try it
who exactly are the enemies in dark tide?
i know that theyre stated to be a chaos traitor guard regiment
A nurgle cult, and a renegade regiment
even a daemon or two
but only those shooter enemies with lasguns seem to fit that to me
But don't waken the host
who are those basic weak melee enemies?
infected
are the regular human civilians?
infected people

Civilians
They are not willing
The yellow guys are cultists, the lasgun armoured guys are traitor guards. The normal melee mobs are once civilians, but infected by the plague.
Just Poxwalkers and Groaner
Some of them are dressed very fancy though so it seems like nobles too were infected
Probably the most extensive one you are gonna get
I forgot dark tide has its own wiki
Yay electric outages

Galant Zealots; similar to Elysian Drop troopers or Tempestus Scions, but with cheap, experimental and volatile equipment. Mass-produced, and experimental jump packs with minimal fuel provides a variety of mobility and is quite useful for repositioning and avoiding deadly attacks; but are prone to malfunctioning and detonating when not used with care. Unable to carry hotshot lasguns due to lack of resources, and therefore have to use recon lasguns with a larger power pack; more shots, but can melt the barrel if fired too much. Some are equipped with flamers, plasma weapons, meltas, incendiary and krak grenades. Their armor is a bright fluorescent orange and yellow with a shining reflective trim so allied pilots can easily see them. The Zealots are crazy loyal, and are brave to the point of suicide. They drop in the heart of combat right behind bombing runs and rolling artillery barrages. Zealots specialize in sabotage, hostage rescue, and flushing out enemy leaders from bunkers.
reminds me a lot of Light Assault from planetside, which is cool
buying skaventide in about 15 days!!!
well probably more liek 20
anwyya very scited
You're buying 20 Skaventide boxes??
i mean skaven tidei n 20 days whoops
you should only buy skaven tide like, twice max lol
That makes more sense
20 boxes is too many rats
at most
unless its clan rats
you can always use mroe clan rats
Wouldn't that be like 800 Clanrats
if you want more clan rats, you probably shoudl buy tthe spear head a few times
oh theres oinly 1 unit in there
i thgouth there was 2
uhg what a good box
and the starter sets are still good
I need to learn green stuff fur for my woolly skaven

The sub clans are like the warlock engineers and the plague monks I'm pretty sure
Thereās the major clans

i mean like, homebrew wise

So your specific skaven clan would fall under one of the great clan umbrellas
Beyond that go wild with that umbrella you got
same case for the other old clans from fantasy that were note worthy
Itās just Eshin, Pestilins, Moulder, and Skryre
my plan is a skaven clan in either the cold part of ghur or the snowy part of aqshy
It's literally just that yeah
and make them woolly mice
For AoS they tacked on Verminus
beisdes that i have nothing
So your your clan is gonna be moulder?
Which is the big hordey ones
Decide what sort of style of war/culture they have
Tbh
Or even reproduction rates lol
Since Verminusās whole thing is
Absurdly high birth rates + numbers
yeah skaven are literally just like orks
very very easy to manipulate into homebrew
also having the physically strongest rats around but that doesn't say much
well what clan are they first
Tell me the great clan they originate from and I can give you some examples
i dont think skavne do genetic modification do they?
i thought that are more frankenstinign
they're the ones that handle Rat ogres
and Hell pit abominations
They still do have genetic modification stuff
Itās just on a smaller scale
Warpstone drugs and stuff
fair
a master moulder that has extra hands
Perfect for using his mancatcher and reloading his gun
yeah but he stapled another skavne to himslef
yeah but
To be honest they would probably just skin mammoth and like staple the skins to themselves
or they could genuinely extract its blood and use warp stone to like bullshit genetic modification themselves into having extra fur
I like the engineers the most
who were gun skaven again?
skyre
masters of technology they make the wonders of skaven engineering
Which is only marginally more volatile than the mental of a league player
YES YES KILL THE MAN THING
let me ask my gun nerd friedns about winter warfare tactics
They also are in charge of building all their architecture I'm pretty sure
honestly i can see clan skyre making some snowmobiles
or snow vehicles
Not power Armour per say
Itās also like incredibly radioactive lol
Nah they have powered armor in AoS
Itās armor that makes the skaven inside stronger
What??!
And itās powered by meth
yeah but that's the thing with skaven
put them in chernobyl and nothing will change
I mean warpstone
Yes yes skavens looking good
an arch warlock with power armor
stormcasts are like, lviign powerarmor tbh since their blood is ltierally electricty, or its fire sometimes
The armor is gona last longer then the skaven
HIS ARM IS A ROBOT ARM
yes
woudl sakven use a weather control machine?
yes
hmm
probably very limited range unless they got pretty high backing
Oh I dunno, it seems like it was the norm for this patient because the nurses were talking about her nonchalantly
Makes me a little sad thinkin about it
id have to work out the details but weather control is against the gehieva convention
for skaven the geneva convention is a geneva suggestion
yeah Doomflayers
Do you count rat ogres
But yeah doomflayers are their actual Calvary
And also doomwheels
aren't they like more monstrous cavalry?
They serve the same role as Calvary to an extent
Theyāre just also giant rat abominations
i see
Sometimes at a certain point you have to ignore it, as sad as it is
They shouldnt be talking about patients though in an unsecured space where anyone can hear them
thats a potential HIPPAA violation
How optimistic
I mean like, if theres nothing you can do at the time
Obviously I'm not going to hear someone wailing and not at least see whats wrong/if I can help
But depending on the type of unit, patients can just kinda do that and it isnt necessarily cause for alarm, like in a dementia unit, or psych/neuro depending on the patient's situation. Not that you should ever assume a situation is just fine, never hurts to make sure
Yeah for sure
It's especially sad when the nurses aren't respectful at all and laughing about the condition
Like for example, if a patient has had a stroke, and their perception/communication is altered, they might always cry for help regardless of situation
No matter how much you try to reorient them, it may not help, in that case, you just try to anticipate their needs, since all behavior is to a certain extent, an attempt to meet a need
Yeah, thats a violation of nursing ethics
I'd report that if you see it
"Codex astartes does not support that action" type shit
I just realized how I sound lol
Tbf
An ethics guidebook
Is a lot more important then fictional setting guidebook on how to be a warlord
It is, in fact codified
theres not necessarily enforceable rules, but most workplaces hold you to it, and it'll lead to some disciplinary action
Especially since the Codex Astartes is a Warcrime guidebook
Warcrimes for dummies
In the US we found a bunch of nursing homes that were owned by a dude who got sued for human trafficking
His lil monopoly is still operating
I think the ethics guidelines were created specifically to have a generally agreed upon consensus, in order to sorta have a flowchart for moral and ethical dilemmas that come up often in nursing
yeah nursing homes are generally hives of scum and villany
dont send your family there
Same
despite all the safeguards put in place, its still easy to perform abuse
What if I hate them
Very true, but I saw it as a way to offer some little solace to those that need it
Then thats your decision
(Insomnia)
This type of talk does remind me of a lesser but similar caseā¦
on a particular flight, some Hong Kong flight attendants were serving some Mainland Chinese passengers.
Said passengers didnāt know the English word for āblanketā but insisted on using English.
The flight attendants made fun of/grumbled about that in Cantonese , and that was caught on camera.
cue internet spat.
There are decent nursing homes
Yeah but its not comforting being an outside contractor and seeing these people who need help and nobody is doing anything
Just business as usual
who runs it
Umbrella company owned by some finance firm lol
Its gotta be hard being not part of the care team and not being able to help
oh sorry, that was a continuation of my previous sentence
Yeye
Lol
That is a documented phenomenon, its called caretaker fatigue, combined with burnout, after working around it enough, you tend to just become accustomed to it, or even disdainful
we must always be vigilant for this, and take it upon ourselves to self evaluate and find a different postion elsewhere if it occurs
I hate people who are clearly burnt out, and their care is affected, like you have a nursing license thats good practically anywhere in any specialty/unit, just fucking get a new job
especially if you hate it so much
It doesnāt help too people with dementia often get really nasty or abusive
That accellerates it yes
it takes a special person
and that person isnt me
My specialty is psych, which does have some overlap, and is a whole other beast
Yeah I tried for a bit, just too depressing
But in psych, you can often help, in some way
Especially because itās a nursing home so chances are the ones you do like are just gonna die suddenly one day
alzheimers/dementia is terminal, and is far too horrific for me
Always traumatic
Or talk about how their family never visits
I remember every one that died when I worked there
part of why I do acute care now
you get a ever changing varied patient population, you get to know them a little, and then they either improve and leave, or arent suited for our scope of care anymore and have to go elsewhere for treatment, either way, its a net positive at least slightly
I love seeing people leave, even better if I dont see them again cause that means theyre doing decent
Sure its thankless, and you're often treated like shit by people, but even if 1 out of 1000 is genuinely helped, thats all I need
One patient saying something like "I'm feeling so much better now" or similar just brightens my week
Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED talk
TLDR: Nurses are people, and so some of them arent the best, but thats the human condition, innit?
anyone know if SM or ppl other than inquisition/admech that mind-wipe ppl regularly?
I feel like some SM would but I've no idea
I would say Grey Knights but that's technically Inquistion
Overall, generally most SMs are in the business of just fucking murdering people.
Even the Grey Knights usually killed any regular Baselines that saw them.
The Mind wipe was saved for more important/high ranking individuals
ya figured GK would just murderize minds instead of wipe them (i mean inquisition does that alot too)
less work
And even then the mind wipe is kinda used less considering that the
Big fucking rift kinda shot any hopes of hiding what Chaos is down the toilet
ya plenty of secrets to keep still tho, aside from the "starve chaos" or keep-chaos-secret thing
Maybe the Dark Angels due to "Muh Fallen"?
Not that familiar with their lore though cause that shit bores me

same that's why im asking chat lol can't be bothered to even look in the direction of a SM book atm
I mean them or alpha legion
I mean Alpha Legion do have sleeper agents
which probably means they do mind wipe ppl
true. There's also the whole SM inductee's psycho-indoctrination. Don't think that involves scrubbing memories though, just propoganda machines hooked into the brain
I'm assuming in battlefleet gothic 2, theres no pvp version of the campaign? I really wish those kinds of games had a mode for long term meta-campaigns where you can take and lost territory and such
Not really no
That I can recall
Mind wiping is also a very delicate process
ya the only significant sources i can find on it says its an intensive process reserved for ppl of value
I wonder if fortnight has a kasrkin skin..
Soon
unfortunately not
the framework is all there, though, so im surprised
Maybe modders can do it
Unless they're evil family
How often to ships get lost in the warp? The idea that you can enter the warp and exit thousands of years later while, from your perspective, only takes a week or a month is crazy to me.
Not an absurd amount but it happens occasionally. Being lost in the warp sometimes is sometimes not as long of a period
Big time jumps are rare
Usually itās just a few days or even just hours(back in time)
Just enough for there to always be one when a narrative need it
its more common than you'd think apparently as of 8th edition "22% of the voyages have yet to reach their destination"
which is brutal
however, thats just a total, it doesnt explain whether that's across the whole galaxy or some places are disproportionately more unreliable
my money would be on the latter
otherwise a 1/5 chance to fuck up sending groceries from one planet to another is pretty outrageous for running a space government
Imo itās def the latter
Especially with the great rift
Iām sure some of those ships tried to cross the great rift lol
it also probably has to do with things such as your difference from the astronomicon
the further you are, the more likely something will fuck up
and i imagine the safest jumps are the ones that don't need navigators at all
Also, I wonder if they count all of the ships that ever got lost in the warp, or ships that got lost during the last thousand years or whatever
someone explain to me what the warp is
its like another dimension
another dimension where physic laws dont work
many demons there
bad gods are there
another dimension where it follows no set rules of the universe
for example like a few seconds here can be like thousands of years in there
you can also accidentally time travel if you do a warp jump because of it
every psyker uses warp to throw lightnings and read minds
it's basically random wacky shit
people learned to travel through warp using navigators, buts its super dangerous and your survival is not guarantied
you might get to the destination point earlier or 100 years later
and you wouldnt notice
now we're talking
yes except more fucked
almost
but your survival is not in your hands
plus you hear funny voices that tell you to kill your teammates
#gamesworkshop #warhammer #40k #spacemarine #shoebodybop #warhammeredit #meme #funny
when will people learn to use better links
Ty lol
What others told is correct, but what it is in essence is a sort of a mirror dimension to our own, fueled by emotions and souls of all that is living. In a time long before 40k the psychic energy of the Warp slowly coalesced into distinct entities that we know as Chaos Gods. Well, the fourth of them came about a little differently, but that's besides the point. And all the demons are essentially fragments of said gods, absolute majority of them not posessing any free will at all
Aren't humans warp touched
I remeber they meet a society back in the heresy days that were weary of us because they say we are warp touched
So I basically see that as the warp is the result of us
All the fear and paranoia of the mortal empire or something
Humans contribute a lot to the warp being as disturbed as it is, but I reckon the War in Heaven did more to bloat the Chaos Gods than humans ever could
Yeah , the imaterrium definitely is my favorite part about 40k
Some really good horror audio books about the warp
And sometimes you turn inside out, or all the holes on your face switch functions
nothing specific really
this is normal for orks
as every weapon they have is highly customizable
I wonder if they use different calibers in the same gun
Just shove what ever they can in
it's a thing
As you can see the results may vary sometimes you obliterate your target sometimes you doctor manhatten yourself
The more I learn about them the more I like them

The shootyest of shooters lol
is the bottom left ejecting casings ?
it's said that ork guns just outright DO NOT work at all when used outside of orks and that the internal workings are utterly nonsensical
therefore
but it's clearly the end of a plasma gun
i wouldnt be surprised if a magazine is just a metal box of bullets all rattling around
No so that's actually not entirely true
don't ask
this ork engineering it's about as reliable as an engine put together using bee wax
its a fucking ork gun
Thing is you can use ork technology you just have to fill in the missing parts
It's most likely to explode w out the ork thinking but it's not intirely useless
Yeah
it's just that ork tech is basically crudely built
"Much of Ork technology is unreliable and sometimes seemingly inoperable to other races, in some cases only working properly in the hands of an Ork." its not a hard and fast rule, checking again
but there is a pseudo-magic element to it
WHAT IS HE SHOOTING
frankly the intention seems clear that ork guns are supposed to work on looney toons magic rules
The guy to his left the guy in front of him and the enemy dog 3 miles away from battle
although it being literally psychic power or whatever is disputed
IDFK, SOMETHING
it basically works on magic/plot/waaagh
like
ork guns are made to look funny
not make sense
Yeah but thereās like a minimum size right?
