This too. chuds went "but they're executing civllians" Me: "who may or may not be harboring cartel assets, what? think they're gonna roll over and play nice?"
maybe you were a dumb kid
Stop killing foreigners!!!
Not a war crime

It’s not a war
OH YEAH SPEAKING OF

I love how in MW2
YOU LEVEL AN ENTIRE MEXICAN TOWN
WITH AN AC130
THEN LET HASSAN GO
Foreigners? Foreign countries? You mean a target rich environment?
Nah. It's an American tradition as old as America itself.
...just ignore the fact that most of our population is immigrants-
Well yeah, once you immigrate you’re not a foreigner
what about bigfoot
I would've done a betrayal with Alejandro's 2IC, have him and some of the Vaqueros be double agents for the Cartel. I would've been surprised. Hell, even Laswell, make her do something evil. CIA are shady as shit
Bigfoot showed up after the ice bridge melted silly
Now hop on this Apache and let’s go blow up a wedding
Yeah. I can't believe Native Americans didn't exist.
There were just some weird dark skinned creatures there-
Okay I'll stop.
I mean they crossed the ice bridge is what I’m saying

the plot of black ops 1 is very simple:
REZNOOOOV
sympathy for the devil
chevchenko, steiner
nova 6
SECURE THE KEYS
Should've speedran the tech tree SMH
Lmfao
I do wonder what would have happened
They stopped at fucking horse archers?
If like
Really?
💀
Columbus shows up and does less Warcrimes
KEK
Hailed as a good guy
*crimes against humanity
Also didn’t Spain consider him a monster lol
the prison mission of black ops 1 is literally the best the franchise will ever be
Lewis and Clark just kinda cruise down the river
doubtful of a MW4, but do something right with these guys. K my SC rant is done.
yea they were pretty weirded out, then did some more of the same
I prefer their MW2 OG. look more but still pretty good
Where is left dudes helmet
Yeah
Incredible
The funniest part is that the Native Americans actually had a collection of tribes that were democratic. Ben Franklin actually took inspiration from them.
I forgot the name of their collective
he played Assassins Creed and we'll leave it at that
But it's actually pretty interesting
They had a a lot of different civilizations
democracy is some weird thing the greeks thought would work
thankfully we are returning to good old god emperors
They basically got hit by an apocalyptic events and most larger tribes got mostly wiped out
Every man was free.
..except the slaves, non-citizens, and-
i like the variety of Reboots. but fair
pretty good
My biggest annoyance with the NA is everyone groups them to together as one thing
Like Native American history is actually pretty interesting and I'm deeply sad that it isn't taught more
most people can't even name more than 3 tribes
When like, there was some tribes which we made pacts with and completely fucked over, and there was some outright evil as fuck tribes who had it coming.
Ehhh
I can name like 5
There's a reason the Spanish had no trouble finding people to take on the Mayans for example.
id say "some had it coming some didnt" is a bad perspective
my biggest annoyance with the NA is in the film industry. a catastrophe strikes and the world building goes as far as Manhattan for the movie to play it out
it took me a while to learn that iroquois were't even a tribe they were an alliance
As much as anyone ever does
the comically evil Mayans dying to the other very angry groups
Apaches were a monstrous brutal group who terroized everyone else
Yeah and its still deeper than that is the thing lol
Is that why the US named a gunship after them
at the end of the day you dont see people saying most of this shit to other natives around the world either
apache chief
They def do
Lmao
I don't think its any different than like, us taking on the Nazis in WWII or whatever
Bro is whiter than my cousins
I mean

And those were the ones which its fucked what we did
Its kinda the same shit as like
They are a nation of peoples with their own history, cultures, and moralities. They weren't uniformly good or bad. They just were.
And the saddest thing is that we basically murdered them all lmao.

Well a good chunk of them anyways
I mean I’d say some of them were what I’d define as evil
i went to a casino for the first time in eight years last november. the slot machine screens are even more obnoxious and disorienting for me
So were lots of fucked up civilizations
Yeah but that goes for like every continent.
It’s too late now
Like the Mongols, Nazis, whoever.
the thing with native americans is because liberals romanticized them so much for decades (instead of doing reparations) you have people like eternal who show up saying things like "no they were not living in a perfect peaceful harmony" as if it's breaking new grounds
I don't care much about what happened to the fucked up tribes
Yeah I was gonna say lol
I care about the ones which weren't and allied with us even
And tried to get along and we fucked them over.
Unfortunately true.
...
We could at least make their reservations actually not shit tho

Samoset was a good cookie to those Pilgrims
Humans in general
Lol
Most native American indians sided with the confederacy in the civil war
Let me be racist damn it
down with the rebels
Oh yeah Slavery in the tribes was
rampant
People living in the Balkans when they see somebody with the same language, skin color, and culture:
so true!
People don't like nuance.
We always overcorrect
First it was "all natives are savages" now they were all noble people who maybe sometimes scalped a bit
Pocahontas would've been a good movie if it was
Not based on real historic individuals

See this is what happens when people talk about cod
Civilwarcivilwarcivilwar
telling Canadians basic facts about our historic treatment of native people is legit like trying to talk to a brick wall. both sides of the aisle suck so much at doing anything good for them, the only thing that gets shit done is when natives organize and fight for their rights. White people are too busy with a culture war to care
Hey more civil war
The point is, SOAP is an overrated character and he has a yee yee ass haircut
His haircut is dumb
Real
Ghost is still cool though, even if his new mask if overly edgy and his old balaclava was cooler.
I cannot believe this all started from wanting to bomb a mexican town with an AC130
Jack Frost can fuck off!
AC 130 ABOVE
TACTICAL NUKE. INCOMING!!
yoo a good game series
Come on
Yes talk Helghast instead
Old ghost rocked the fleece jacket ngl
Dude he always had a great fit
No he doesn't
jerk your cod takes do not matter here
Cod takes don't matter to begin with
i have not enjoyed any modern warfare campaign
Edgy military gear is cringe!
Last outfit always baller
which modern warfare
Also speaking of cod
Let’s talk about project wingman and how they nuked California
My mom did not like this when she walked in
Twice
any
Dude looks like an overeager airsofter
awful
LOL
L take
A
When are we gonna get Oakley Scouts in 40k?
black ops > mw 1, 2
I think the most depressing part about the COD series is that COD WW2 just...
Did not acknowledge the Holocaust at all.
They explored a POW camp. Which tbf are also inhumane as shit, and I like that. But there's not even mention of the Holocaust itself.
world at war still peak world war 2 game
I thought Of Pink Panther when i saw this https://youtu.be/PkgntZqYDHU?si=uM9CFbI2YCl1JV_J
Steve Martin's Inspector Clouseau best scene doing "Good Cop, Bad Cop".... by himself.
at least you can have some good takes
it had tanks in a call of duty game
Oakleys improved your BBQ skills by +50%
it had 1 mission with them in it
Reckon Red Orchestra was the best WW2 game
i never played the plane mission though because it's not on the wii version
.....
yes i had it on wii
Better take
zombies is not on wii either
GET OUT
I mean....thats acknowledging it
https://youtu.be/qqA46bO4VDI?si=ylNLnjZ4g3-8gmwU when this played on speakers it is the most "its go time, baby!" moment i ever had on the 360
I feel like they maybe thought it would be a bit much to have you
Play a fucking video game in a camp
HELL yes
Wolfenstein got away with it cause its so over the top
this mission's soundtrack is nuts
kino der toten still best zombies map
And tbh even that one was a bit idk
it didnt tbh
It feels weird
Nah its good
Wolfenstein is a weird spot for me
its a game about nazis winning it kinda needed to be shown
most jews are dead by the period of wolfenstein new order
I agreed and don't, idk its kinda a weird thing
Yeah pretty much
They definitely lean into the over the top aspect a bit to make it less
I hate the fact that Wolfenstein is kind of the only game that shows the horror of the Nazi Regime.
...and that's purely because it's so over the top
uncomfortable
Relevant
I mean, yeah Laati
Its a fucking videogame
"its a videogame"
Me watching one of our members be a suicide bomber
Its also not the only one lol
https://tenor.com/view/wolfenstein-ss-ss-march-wolfenstein-ss-gif-19326165 hot damn did they have a sick ass march though
the internet memed that scene to death
also average 40k fans on their way to a convention

you'd be surprised how easy that is to animate
Average civilized world parade
Wolfenstein is a massive meme
i remember seeing "going to weinerschnitzel be like"
I mean yeah fucking Mecha Hitler
"Who is your contact in the village?"
"Klaus."
"Who is this Klaus?"
"Santa Klaus"
💀
gets electrocuted
Still remember that qte sequence where you have that nazi soldier constantly stabbing you
LMAO
And youre just like
Old Blood
Fun fact
I mean
You can just shoot him
did you see how BJ is built
LOL
also that yeah
old blood is even more cartoony
thats the point of it yeah
you literally fight a zombie king
with a mech
Funny scene in the beginning of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
Youngblood was Ironicially fine with everything except the gameplay
Lol
Which is unfortunately
You know
What people play video games for
that's like entire game
i like how this thing is considered a "submachine gun" but it chambers .30 carbine round
You’re so squishy
America Moment
In new colossus
Its not terrible but its not nearly as good
and this thing is huge
what would the m2 carbine be
100%
They strike the balance well
New Blood is terrible
New colossus is way too squishy
Fuck me I hated it
New blood is uh
New Blood is a crime against humanity
Its not even a good game or coherent story
"mechanics"
Its so bland
The story is like
Even if you ignore the levels
So mid
It’s acceptable
I like the new executions
All I got from it was BJ and Ana were terrible parents
Who the fuck lets their teens go fight on the frontline
About to dab on this nazi general
the 2009 one?
Its not like they had no other choice
i will die on the hill that the america wolfenstein was great
The war is in the allies favor now
Anyways whatever
Hopefully the next one will be better
(It wont)
We can pray
people who hated that one were chuds i can't believe i used to listen to that stuff
Lol
I don’t care about the story
Just have the gameplay be good
Just copy fucking old blood one for one
Gameplay was bad and the story was just
Or new order one for one
I dunno, not as good
I didn't like the cast
You really didn’t need to fuck with the formula
Yeah
Of the gameplay lol
It was dumb
then they did a vr game
They made it Doom except you couldn't dodge enemy fire
So you just got fucked
Idk how I was even supposed to playu
it's some exec who thinks he can freshen up the formula
and i bet he got a raise too
new colossus?
Yeah
that dream scene is fucking great
Going through that on my first run I went “imagine if this was a dream”. I ate my words
^
I hated the dream cliche until i saw the scene with his mom afterwards
no it was done to hammer the point that the guy had no way out
The scene with the mom is fine
"I cant go on anymore mom"
^
its good
Fuck
i genuinely thought he would die during the beheading
and i pogged so hard
Nah
That’s the point
Jewish science prevails again
I think that was probably my favorite thing about the reboot
I had a hard time to try and and even say their name for it. “Da’at Yichud”
when the lawyer gets killed that's like a big tonal shift of the series
Dat Yishud
its pretty easy
Dat shit
thats ironically one of my fav scenes
yingele (slur)
Just the concept that jews had secret alientech
Was hilariously amazing
💀
Lore accurate
Also the Nazis aren’t totally incompetent in Wolfenstien
My client has rights dontcha know
the ku klux klan guy trying to say thank you in german
Which is good
Poor superspesh
Danky shoo
Hearing them say danke schein badly threw me to the damn roof as someone who took a class for a year in speaking Deutsch
#WOLFENSTEIN #GAMING #GAMES
It’s story is good
It’s gameplay sucks
Compared to the first two
You cannot convince me the gameplay is an improvement
i liked the gameplay
More then New Order?
Not as good as new order. But miles better than freaking Youngblood I don’t know what my eyeballs were witnessing in that gameplay
The first one felt like a very somber story with some over the top elements
New Order got it right
it added more stuff to it
i liked the combat abilities of the mech body
Adding more isn’t a good thing always
The body stuff is fine
The fact you’re made out of paper
And meant to dodge bullets is not
Lol
that's chud talk right there
The antagonist for Colossus didn’t really hit as hard like Deathshead
"the black lady was too loud i hate this game"
im sure it is
New order was definitely better
Deathshed is like genuinely monstrous
I didn’t hate NC but it wasn’t as good and was a downgrade across the board
Incredibly good villain
The one Frau Engel lady was just
the game starts you in a wheelchair
I had a hard time watching that surgery scene without turning away
so how big is the offico assasionorum like would you be more likely to see one of them then a space marine
Goofy
how is that not awesome
Less likely
new order was also goofy
All i remember from new colossus is all the memes
New colossus is objectively worse for the core gameplay tbh
Felt like a lot of fetish stuff was coming through at parts ngl
Like
also i liked how new colossus did more to the side characters
the side characters just appear and disappear in new order
Yeah. And her physically doing the things she’s doing had me like “are…are we sure this is safe?”
Yeah
i didn't have difficulty at max difficulty and im not a sweaty
When you get more HP later in the game they literally boost enemy damage
For 0 reason
It plays like Doom 2016 but you can’t dodge
Mein leben????
Just let me “die” and skip it jfc
What
Doom Eternal with King Novik

You didn’t struggle on Mein Leben
I find that hard to believe personally but maybe you are The New Colossus god
ok not mein leiben but i did try that one and got to midway through
Makes you wanna cry almost
The additional difficulty modifiers are already rough
Anyways, I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it and it was a disappointment largely with how good the original was
but i gave up out of boredom i didn't even die
And then the fact it’s Ironman
Is uh

Idk I think new colossus is worse gameplay wise
It doesn’t play as well as New order
i liked it more
Meh
Fair point
Of the loud and quiet stuff
i preferred new colossus stealth probably because the environments looked cooler
so force swords exist right does force axe/hammers/ other melees exist and if so do they have normal human size versions aswell
Old Blood was fun
I heard that the New Order is better story wise but New Colossus is better gameplay wise.
New Colossus has some weird ass moments though.
Force weapons exist in all sizes
old blood was cartoonish fun
Yeah
i think old blood had the best gameplay
I just recall a fat woman getting railed being a cutscene
Stealth is less in-depth
These people are what we call “morons”
There was a lot of
are chain weapons able to be turned into force weapons
Old blood is just new order but better
Tbh
I like how that’s the only thing you remember of Sigrun Engel
My first exposure to the Wolfenstein reboot was the cutscene where a pregnant woman was dual wielding rifles while topless with blood splattering on her naked body
Weird shit which felt fetishy in that game ngl
In theory yes but in practice no
Not worth it
Force weapons are expensive
Also this part
Well that and she had fan fiction of wanting to fuck some dudes
Idk it was just weird
What I hated most was the birthday celebration scene
I don’t even remember that part
I’m ngl I like the laser beam in Wolfenstien 2
And I had to legitimately pause the video for a second.
And just
the tool you get to upgrade?
Nazi obliterator 10,000
Stared at the wall thinking what the fuck did I just watch
i love wolfenstein's upgrade system
They also make it like a sexual thing
Oh also new order and old blood
you're all prudes
She’s straddling you and she’s making this borderline orgasms face
Imo had way more diverse weapon selection
Well
Not even an imo
It just did have more diverse weapon selection
Yeah Jay I’m a prude for thinking it’s weird they have a pregnant lady straddling you covered in blood while she’s borderline orgasming
I’m the weird one
a bunch were useless
I really did not like that scene. Partly in the fact that for a time while playing NC , I had an aunt who was expecting and she stayed at my family’s house for a bit. Like, one room down the hall from me
bwwWWAAAAAAAAAA
Not really?
I mean I guess the moon guns were op as shit
But I wouldn’t call the AP marksmen useless
how dare my media have stuff that's slightly weird
the shotgun
Dude she was literally naked
the scene where you cut the barrel off
Slightly is doing a lot of heavy lifting there
Her tits was showing
No the auto shotty was insane what
It was really fucking weird
How could you say it’s useless smh
you havent seen weird if that's more than slightly
Dual welding those was fun
It’s supposed to be sexualized and that’s kinda weird
Thing shredded large targets
it was boring
That doesn’t make it useless
I don’t think this is the flex you think it is Jay
I’m aware it could be weirder
That isn’t a good argument lol
Boring weapon sure
i'm not flexing im calling you a prude
Useless absolutely not
It has a usage
And a niche in the weapon sandbox
Actually if anything the weird Nazi moon guns are overpowered
And invalidate stuff
The uh
I mean I have to but like
There's a different mindset in terms of intentionally going out to find weird shit and
Literally just encountering something weird and out of pocket when playing a fucking video game
Laser/AR one
i do like the laser sniper
also recharging guns in all the games is so satisfying
you get fire guns in colossus too
I just wanted to watch people kill Nazis man
Is fun

Honestly if we ever get access to Volkite in Darktide somehow
I really want it to be exactly like this
Just
bwwwAAAAA
it's just a bit weird idk what the issue is. i barely remember that scene
The lasergrwehr is great
Thing obliterates the basic Nazi soldier
And the mechs
And the super soldiers
the upgrade that lets you kill multiple people when you aim
Mmmmmm
"Ah I see you like living."
"Too bad I don't like you."
BWAAAAA-
when you find a recharging station and you stay next to it to kill all nazis quickly
Which super soldier design did you like most? The 1946 or 1960s?
the rotary mg 42 is peak
It’s cool
such a ridiculous weapon idea i love it
I like the 1946 one more due to how fucking gross it looks
46, 61, 60
60 is just lame
The death mask is boring
Like this looks straight out of 40k let's be fair here
i prefer the prologue super soldiers from new order
Mf got the Horus lighting
And the face isn’t as fucked up
yes
I like the 61 one in terms of like a "finished" design
Which is fun
The 60 one is probably the most boring to me
Deathshead decided the make the death mask a fucking moyai
nazis gone woke, hiding the super soldier face
🗿
Tbf thr 46 ones had helmets
They were just metal as fuck
Also
Horus ahh lighting
Ngl the next Wolfenstien game
I want to see more allied weapons
Or I guess non Nazi guns
...Young blood shouldn't be canon
Like genuinely I think it should be fucking decanonized
Meh
I do like the set up. The Nazi's basically becoming more desperate to the point where they're basically taking the world with them
But like
It exists
The story is dogwater
Two sisters just having a girls night out tbh
BJ giving up is kinda uncharacteristic to me.
The man literally got out of a comatose state as soon as he saw a Nazi soldier.
And even though he heard that "Nazis have taken over the world, there is no resistance" he was like
"Let's fucking create one then."
Bro their dialogue sounds so robotic
I have never heard any sibling
Let alone a fucking person talk like that
They sound like Oblivion NPCs half the time
They had a chance to do more of a Cold War alt history thing
With the Nazi’s controlling half of Europe still
But they made it just
Lame
Actually that would be interesting.
Like the Nazis still being in control of Europe while America came back
I wonder what happened to Japan in the Wolfenstein universe tbh
Did they just get vaporized?
The idea of a fucking Nazi Samurai is entertaining as shit though
When did the Nazi's steal ancient Jewish tech again?

Lemme check
Taken over by Germany
Wolfenstien
Do you ever kill the KKK in Wolfenstien
I forgor
They’re enemies at one point right
I feel like Wolfenstein writers didn’t really think the “actually there is a secret cabal of Jews” thing through lol
It’s kinda
They did not
Weird
“They have super Jewish tech but don’t worry they were good I guess.”
“Except they didn’t use any of it for no fucking reason as the Holocaust was happening.”
Yeah its so central to the plot too
It’s so goofy that I kinda don’t care but also man it’s weird
I read through what could be considered the Nazi Racism Hierarchy.
Essentially how "pure" each race is. Which one is the best, etc.
It was utterly stupid btw. I think I actively gave myself brain damage trying to understand it.
But due to their alliance with Japan, they actually put Japanese people as "Honorary Aryans".
Although he also hated Chinese people. Like he literally ranted about it in his fucking book.
Hitler was really ahead of his time there
💀

Then again East Asia kinda always hate everyone else
What do you think this stuff tastes like
Every time I look at this chat years of my life evaporate
Specifically he hated how the Chinese dared to...
Try to make progress outside of European civilizations.
While praising Japan for adopting European customs earlier
Like taurox but lime-y
So like lime flavored beef
The writers aren’t even trying
Yeah
I’d say the conversations today have been normalish
Good edit
Human Technological development is fucking bewildering at times.
The Aztecs actually had the idea for wheels before Europe but only used them for toys.
People are very smart and dumb
I guess due to them living in a forested/jungle area. Wheels were kinda useless to them
Steam powered doner kabab spinner
They had roads still
We figured out how to get to the moon before we thought of putting wheels on suitcases
^
Was it like dirt roads or paved/stone
Rock roads basically
Yeah makes sense.

Space exploration actually helped us develop the technology needed for our modern machines now
Although it was definitely a side effect
Still pretty cool though
It's also why I generally support Space Exploration. Especially since it could solve resource shortages
Asteroids are basically fucking loot boxes

It's wild at times
Like a regular high school student technically knows more than Isaac Newton
So if we like
Time traveled to the future
People would probably see you as fucking stupid
I remember a joke in Futurama where Fry had to go back to High School
Because despite having a college degree, the future progressed to the point where his education was considered to be like
Middle school tier
...
Those poor children 100 years later that have to learn calculus at age 10

If the death watch specializes in killing xenos, how do they change to fight dark eldar? Everytime I look into them it's always talking about what they are and not how they adjust.
They’re aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and their abilities
They also get better equipment and have veterans as a baseline for marines generally
Often exceptional marines from chapters
Knowledge is power basically, they know their enemy
And have access to lots of records and footage of them
Often the exact target they’re after
One example I guess is there’s a short with an veteran Iron Hand who uses an augmetic in his head to dilate time so he sees a second as lasting a minute, allowing him to much more easily track them and shoot in combat
They can often send marines who have experience and an affinity with a certain enemy after them
Oh, okay that's makes sense
this is often the case with 40k stuff, where things are described moreso than shown
especially on wikis or whatever. need to read stories to get into the meat and bones of how
A lot of Deathwatchs benefit too is just that it’s basically a dream team squad, chapters tend to send some of their best
i can also imagine their weaponry is adjusted, specifically. eldar generally have very fast reflexes, so weapons that don't have (relatively) slow projectiles would be ideal
especially weapons described as beam weapons
Funny if it happens to the dark angels with how paranoid and secretive they are
veteran dark angels know to keep their mouths shut
First rule of DW is you don’t talk about what you saw
You can share the knowledge you got but you can’t tell how you got it
Be funny if Azraael sees them off grabs hand and leans to ear “you say a fucking thing we are burying you alive on a cemetery world”
alternatively rapid fire weapons. so they probably know to leave the plasma guns at home and bring storm bolters, or whatever
Safe to say a fair number of DW marines from other chapters have seen SW become Wulfen or Angels fall to the Rage for example
Makes me curious about Astartes 2. From what I’ve seen of the chapters, they’re all engaging with different Xenos. And at the end where it shows the terminator helm. You see the symbol of the deathwatch. Maybe like prequel to a Killteam formation?
The clips we saw aren’t in the short apparently
They’re just showing the characters
The short itself will be them all in Deathwatch
Apparently
Hmm maybe they do an anthology of the separate chapters for each episode?
It’s not a mark of shame often
i dont know where you get that from, yeah
its a great honor more often than not
space marines will brag about their time in deathwatch when they come back
It’s a way to get troublesome marines to figure themselves out or die for a cause
Away from the chapter
Sometimes
yeah because they survived
It’s mostly a honor
the reason they get sent there though
It’s not a mark of shame to go or die there
They send troublesome marines there because it forces them to straighten out
Boarding school
And hopefully come back better or die in service
a chapter isn't sending their most valuable troops by definition
expendable vererans
no such thing in a Chapter of 1000 space marines
You’re misunderstanding how they see it
In the Steve Parker books
They send a dude whose literally being groomed to become Chapter Master next
It’s a way to prove yourself and learn a lot
it's a trial by fire i know
it reflects REALLY badly on the chapter if they send someone who sucks
to that whole aforementioned honor thing
They send troublesome marines but they’re not sending bad marines
They’re sending good marines who are out of line
i didn't say they send bad
i dont even know if its that common that they use deathwatch as a secondary training school like that
like im sure some chapter leadership would use it for that purpose
Anyone who returns from the Long Vigil is marked out as almost certainly becoming a captain at least
but just as often its just like "we gotta send someone who's the biggest badass we got?"
you wont see cato sicarius in death watch is what im saying
I like to think of it as taking an extra class in college outside of the prerequisite for your major
They do send people like that
well ACTUAL leadership never goes because they're needed in the chapter still, to my knowledge
its like
Like they literally send Sanguinary Priests and Iron Fathers
why would the chapter send somebody crucial to their functioning
Sternguard Veteran Squadmate #4 that gets chosen
Because they’re needed, and they can be replaced in the meantime
DW often requests specific people
Especially if they previously served
that makes no sense i dont believe they'd send officers who serve their function correctly
Specialists
If given the choice, can they wish to stay in the Dw longer than required?
well specialists like apothecaries and techmarines are not singular officers
This guy is an Iron Father who is Ana expert on Necrons for example they requested
Yes
Some find it to be their calling
i dont think ive ever heard of an instance of a captain being sent
iron fathers are lieutenants or captains no?
as that decapitates an entire company
That’s how Watchmasters often become a thing
iron fathers are techmarine/chaplain hybrids
so they aren't necessarily critical if you only send one
All Captains hold the rank
damn i thought they were captains
They’re not
Not anymore really
It’s complicated but
They’re all roles
but they still lead large groups
It’s anyone on the council
The Iron Council, so some are dreads
Some are Librarians, Chaplains
point being:
"Every Clan Company must always have at least one Iron Father amongst its numbers, while most have more."
they aren't as indispensable as the traditional captain
where there's only 10 of them
sending a captain to deathwatch is stupid
Cato isn’t leading a company anymore anyways
yes which is why i believe it never happens
He’s Guillimans honor guard
i, cato sicarius
And it happens with Uriel Ventris
probably the best gig has got to be being in vet company
just rolling around with the chapter master blasting everything you see
id hate to be asked to go back to some shithole reserve company to be their sergeant
chapter ancient is a pretty cool job, you just carry a banner into battle and yell
all you have to do is survive long enough
This guy for example is a Red Scorpion apothecary who was requested for his expertise in Tyranids
1st company is like new york city, its where all the cool shit is at
reserve company as like
Wichitau, Arkansas
id hate that so much
i wish we had more stories about the shit companies
"congrats, you get a promotion!"
'fuck'
it's like that one ultramarine scout who served for centuries
millenia even i think
Tellion
is he a sgt at least?
that's such dumb lore
sgts tend to come from the vet companies so most of them went through the whole course to my knowledge
its just some go "I really like dying in one hit."
He is a space marine
he must have had to
He just wears scout gear
i thought he was partially
ah
he went through the whole dev->assault->tac->vet pipeline
scout sergeants come from vet company
like most sergeants
why does he look so old then
Full marines often wear the scout gear when working with them
bcuz hes old as shit
shit he must be truly ancient
Cause he’s old
He’s one of the oldest UMs
Only Calgar is older
old looking marines are crazy old
yeah its hard to be a scout sergeant if you're not in scout gear
i kinda find it weird that the first HH books had that ancient guy even though he was only a space marine for like centuries
guy had dementia even
also i do believe how reserve companies work is that they're towed along with the battle companies, and reserve marines just get immediately transferred into battle companies as losses are sustained
sometimes they do get actually deployed though
Sometimes they wear full armor when working with scouts if it’s needed too
It depends
he looks identical bruh
Yeah scouts are big guys
A lot of them are basically full marines and just need the carapace
why even wear scout armour now that phobos exists
Because you need the carapace
cheaper, chapters are on a budget you know
It’s not that
they dont get to be as wealthy as they are by spending frivolously
behind all that gilding? it's all from the lowest bidders
"we're worse than chaos, we're businessmen!"
calgar WAS an accountant before getting drafted into the ultramarines, you know
a ten year old accountant?
i dont even know if you're making that up and it still makes sense
average 40k lore
"by age 5, dante had destroyed an entire village of enemy tribesmen"
Would not be good to kiss
who do you think the most OBNOXIOUS chapter's marines would be to work with in Deathwatch
my money is on BTs or Space Wolves
flesh tearers
