Power fist don't increase grip strength, so as long as you don't activate it while holding the weapon it'll be alright.

But it’s not like marines can’t crush their own weapons already if they want powerfist or no, they’re more than capable of being careful with that.

Mostly the issue seems to be as said, not everyone can get a power fist, and it’s cumbersome.

There’s some noted relic power fists which are much smaller size and allow the user to carry weapons and be more dexterous.
