Not sure how bad things were, but…the pain of a wrongly matched wedding is probably far bigger than the pain right now. The chamber of echoes fills with hushed whispers as the entire Markov family slowly files in to watch over Uriel as he undergoes the ritual of becoming. Almir sits among his brothers in the upper portions of the chamber, looking down below onto the platform in front of the frehly refurbished vault that houses Hunter's Echo. The ancient throne mechanicum of the old knight being fitted with new circutry, and soaked with sacred oils and wrapped in blessed scrolls of holy binary scripture. The throne itself isn't much of a throne, but more of a harness or operating table; with places to fit your arms and legs to strap into it, and a helmet with all manner of wires coming out the back of it, connecting it to everything else.

Soon all becomes quiet as the lord sacristan steps up to his podium and the tech priests begin to gather and begin their binary droning. Galen Markov checks his timepiece, midnight strikes it's tone, signalling the beginning of the ceremony. Braziers filled with scented oils are lit, as the chamber fills with smoke and incense.

"Bring forth the aspirant." the lord sacristian drones.

Uriel steps out from his ready room; clad in a custom suit of armor. Synthetic muscles and false nerves, within a skin-tight bodysuit; protected by thin plates of adamantine, with a plasteel coating to prevent oxidation. Sleek and elegant; Uriel steps forward into the light.

"With humility, we ignite the reactor; awakening the knight's spirit." The lord sacristan proclaims, as sparks and fire ignites within the kinght; as Hunter's Echo begins to surge with life once again, the eyes of the ancient Cerastus pattern knight glowing an eerie red.

"Awaken, Oh great machine, and pump thine blood of fire!"

The ion sheild sparks to life and a shimmer of energy can be seen surrounding the knight.

"Surge, machina maxim." The tech priests continue to chant and sway

"With reverence, we lead our sons to rest upon the seat of power; knowing the sacred machine will protect us."

Uriel is guided towards the knight as it turns around and opens it's back compartment, awaiting it's throne mechanicum. The harness opens and the helmet is drawn up as Uriel shakily settles into a sitting postion. The clamps sinch down on his wrists with a click, as his hands fit themselves into the gauntlets; the boots lock into place, as tech priests finish strapping Uriel into the throne mechanicum.

"With pride, we crown the aspirant with holy circutry; anointing them to be a pilot. With grace, we bow to the will of the Omnissiah; knowing it is in his grace, they will be guided. Blessed be to the great machine...the Emperor Protects." The lord sacrstan finishes and steps back into shadow.

The masked helmet crackles with energy, as neural nodes that line the inside of it prime themselves. Uriel takes deep, shaking breaths as his body floods with adrenaline; knowing the pain of previous simulated rituals. But this is the real thing, and he must endure it. The helmet lowers itself and clamps down onto Uriel's head as the crackling of the energy from the knight's machine spirit can be heard, mixing with Uriel's shrill screams and shivvering howls of pain.
