Ffff yeah
again as long as the cabling has something to conduct to and its pointy it will work
just make sure not the entire sword is broken

Work but the blade start heating up, or shorting sparks every so often maybe ? To make it more impactful
Actually that last statement brings another question. How sharp does a power sword need to be actually if the disruption field is literally breaking things down on a cellular level?
The distruption field essentially makes the strike of the weapon impactful or just sharper, so it just depends really
as long as its pointy it will do the job
this gif sums it up
Ratlings...
Warhammer Fantasy has it's own LotR group, 40k doesn't
They're not all made equal so it varies wildly.
There's some relic weapons, and often powerful daemon weapons or stuff like that, which notably can or do break other power swords, even well crafted ones.
a good powersword is cool and all but a magical axe blessed by a god of war and blood will destroy that thing
Yeah some of them definitely can, or there might be issues.
In the same way theres chain weapons which can clash with power weapons and not take much damage if they're made well enough.
there is always that one maniac that carries something like spine grinder which is a power chain weapon designed to do nothing else but tear someone apart
People really voted the Nemesis Claw upgrade sprue as the best 40k miniature
I like it but
i just learned that space wolves "drink" their geneseeds
Ushoran with the deserved aos win
Quite so

i am not surprised with this guy being 2nd place though
And surprisingly i was not expecting her to make it that far
I voted Coteaz

I did it as a troll move mostly
Now you will be remembered as a Coteaz enjoyer
Goremane isn't in the top 3, rigged I say
but also Ushoran winning is absolutely deserved, its such a fantastic mini
the Lion winning last year was some pure bullshit
Also Nemesis Claw, REALLY
š
I voted Ushoran, Asmodai and the mutated genestealer unit
Its a good set smh
Mine was Ushoran, Coteaz and Arvus
it is but it's not really the best of the year material
My hate for night lords runs deep
I voted for the Ratlings but
it's an existing kit with an upgrade sprue
Yeah this
like they are good models
its just kind of not really worth the top spot
I know and I agreed but, hey if the shoe fits.
ironically shit like the sister and asmodai are better
I think it kinda just screams how the public need a dedicated NL kit
the inner circle is a baller kit too
If it leads to more NL sets
that doesn't mean anything!
I was expecting the terminators or them to be on there.
the termies were last year no?
To be fair
The Dark Angel ones
those too
these guys in the front row released last year I'm quite sure
Yeah they were
They also did fewer spots last year.
So it was Farsight, Angron, Lion.
Halfling re-enactment of real life recon units
Mmmm chicken

my favorite dark souls character
truly a FEC W
that guy's just me every time i queue up for rank in Marvel Rivals
Me waking up at 6 30 for work
Hey so like, are the T'au really tactical geniuses or is the Guard just (censored word for stoopid)?
Yeah, that makes sense
I used to think the Taros campaign showed how much of a difference between the two there was but everyone I know tells me that it's just (silly) when you think about it.
I mean, what were they supposed to do? I do feel like (Assuming competence) mortars and even Anti material rifles would really make a difference
Tau incredibly suffer from largely being written stupid or naive. Realistically speaking half their fights with the Imperium would be steamrolls from the amount of drones and other shit they'd spam them with considering the current tech they now possess, but the running theme with the faction is them again being naive or just not knowing how the galaxy works to some extent lol
The Taros campaign is an absolutely excellent showcase of how the Tau fight without any plot boundaries stopping them from being naive and just losing
Outside of the first damocles gulf crusade they seem pretty solid to me.
Yeah the Damocles one is them basically not knowing any better
they barely had a proper army and not even proper warships, it was their Firstā¢ļø forray on the big boys table
And I can recognize that on both sides. Like, the ethereal just out in the open during the Gulf crusade? Just asking to be sniped. The guard on taros having no critical thinking skills
Did the tau find out about the necrons yet?
yes
Dark crusade

I mean they do have tactical thinking skills
the battlefield of Taros was just a niche one
the guard forces were overstretched and not just properly made to deal with the tau there especially considering the tech difference
they literally viet cong'd them with railguns

Yeet
Virus bombs dont destroy mines do they
It permanently fucks up the life of the planet
and depending on the virus probably melts most of it
Dang guess we gotta just nuke the tau the old fashioned way
Still disappointed at no human Auxiliary units
Given how the entire faction was designed to appeal to Star Trek/Star Wars mixed race sci fi types
(Alongside the Gundam ones but there I would say GW did make it work)
And no I donāt care if it is just a Guard unit clone
Even Chaos and (to a certain extent nowadays) GSC have one.
They do exist its just GW doesnt want to push it forward
its why its just
Battlesuits
Battlesuits
Battlesuits
Battlesuits
Battlesuits
I do hope they at least do Gue'vesa one day
Honestly should have just targeted the water plants from orbit and then waited them out.
Too intelligent for the average imperial commander
^
Tbf, the Tau aesthetic is the best part, it's also their main selling point in asia
Yeah thats what im saying
the asian market is the reason why they got so many robot suits

they need a megazord fr fr
Fr fr
I could understand them falling for it the first few times but they just keep insisting on going through it anyway which doesn't make any sense.
I mean it does.
The Imperium is proud
they wanna defeat the enemy head on
also they gathered an entire army for the engagement
and they need the population centers under safety, its the entire reason they are here, to re-secure them
For any/all battles where it looks like one side is gimped into stupidity, remember this: all Imperial Armour lore/Horus Heresy lore battles have a tendency to be based upon actual historical battles.
Yeah this is what I mean, they aren't too proud in books were they are meant to be tactical and are when it's to drive themselves into a corner.
They've also shown no shortage of distatse for xenos collaboratiors before. I honestly just think they played to the T'aus strengths for marketing reasons
I mean you say "books", this is 40k. Its the entire game of "it depends."
Tauros was a niche case where there was Considering the campaign's priority was the securing of crucial points like cities, the spaceport and the planetary capital among other stuff. The Imperium in campaigns always suffers bad leadership, generals or anything usually regarding the people in actual positions of power like real old time militarities (hell even now really).
They didnt really play into the tau's strenghts for marketing, the Imperium just underestimated them after steamrolling the planet's defenses at first glance.
The official map of the Istvaan Dropsite Massacre is just a clone of Stalingrad.
Except the point of focus is on the West instead of the East.
It wonāt surprise me if Tauros Campaign is based on battle of Cannae given the brief comment about Imperium wanting to fight āhead onā and Tau just going āTrolololo nopeā
Oh my god did zero xenos models release this year?
Some did
LOL
No
Damn GW schedule is CRAZY
yeah in 40k you could be the most prepared army and general in the universe and all it would take for you to lose momentum is a horde of green angry muscular mushrooms
I will be honest, from a conversion and lore point of view I am slightly disappointed at how Eldar armour is explicitly called out to be incompatible with humans due to psychic connections.
Would be cool for Rogue Trader/Radical Ordo Xenos conversions.
well the "like 6 at least" did reffer to the scorpions
Well yeah its magic supertech, why would it be primitive enough to be usable by humans, its the same with most necron tech minus a few weapons.
its also like not a good idea
the moment someone sees you wearing wraithbone they'll get sus or shoot you lmao
Ok fair enough š¤£
Wait, so it was the First engagement since damocles? That would make alot of sense if that was the case.
Wait did nids release this year or last year
No, its literally just the Imperium is too vast to really have a specific general view of the tau.
Again these people are literally CONSTANTLY told their enemy is dumb and stupid and weak
no matter who they are fighting against
the Uplifting Primer outright lies to guardsman lol
Although also to be fair
Any given regiment could be facing Tāau āfor the first timeā
hey at least my rogue trader can run these he just has to account for his fingers
Given how fuckhueg the Imeprium is
Also this yeah
thats what im saying essentially
or his entire upper body
I wouldn't count that for this one, none of these were no name regiments. I'd probably say it has something to do with the brimlock dragons getting destory in orbit, preventing them from sharing their experience with the tau
You could have heard of the Tāau but never actually faced them in battle.
Even a competent general (or, in fact, competent IG generals are AT RISK) of thinking āthose asshats must be exaggerating about Tāau firepowerā
Only to learn the VERY hard way that, no, the reports were NOT exaggerating.
That Railgun really can slice a Leman Russ MBT in half when you canāt even bloody see it.
I entirely would, its not about being "no name", some regiments no matter how popular sometimes have first engagements regarding even big xenos factions, Tallarn and Elysians were literally entirely dragged here for desert combat and droptroop deployments, the entire war-muster had like 1 regiment that had went against the tau mixed in there.
Basically dont base your entire perception of the guard from singular campaigns. A faction will sometimes simply get the shaft, its how 40k works, some make sense some dont, in Taros its perfectly explainable as its Imperial Armor/Forgeworld, the writers behind those put a ton of meticilous effort into explaining the wars in those rule books lore sections.
the Taros campaign was also extremely influenced by the war in the middle east.
an entire modern army went in there and got beaten by a less equipped enemy, its really not that weird.
wait please donāt tell me they made Tallarn/Elysians the Taliban equivalent and Tau the US forces lol
You can dump millions into an armored personnel career and some kid with a phone-ringed IED will destroy it and make it useless with 10 dollar gear.
in this case tho said locals got railguns and stealth tech
LMAO nah not that much, its mostly the entire "desert combat" vibe, it was told in a really old white dwarf as "we were inspired by the conflicts at the time overseas."
aka the Iraq War etc
Ah ok
I belive that author did try to "make them operate like the U.S." But that's hearsay so don't take my word for it
yeah most of their tactics is literally surgical and trying their best dismantle you from far away as possible
theres a reason guerilla warfare almost always wins
Send in the dragoons, they can beat the tau with their aristocratic minds
i do still love the fact that orks literally just overwhelm every type of supernatural magical advanced technological bullshit the warhammer universe has
Yeah orks work on the snowball effect
Noted, I don't want to Flanderize them but I do want to know what you could even do about it lol. Thats why I suggested anti-mat, mortars and auspex.
the more they fight the more dangerous they will get
And by aristocratic minds I mean how the rich dealt with colonial uprisings before the fall of the british empire.
Alternatives always exist just remember working for the Imperium always means something will get infront of you or ruin your plan
I can't afford the books so I can't confrim lol. Had to buddies argue about that once.
yeah if they can keep their momentum going they can go from a snowball to an avalanche
And then at a large enough population you get the primorks
Well we only hear about the ones that Succeed. History is full of failed guerrillas.
Guerillas also only work if the opposing force cares about keeping the citizens alive
Gazhgkull is rumoured to might be one IIRC, or at least we donāt have confirmation yet.
That goes for any war essentially, against modern armies guerilla tactics just hurt because you cant fight an enemy you cant see
a primork is basically at the level of the beast
Brimlock? They were the most experience against the T'au and by that I mean they loss every engagement lol
its what made vietnam so terrible because U.S troops just opened up on villages that sometimes just had nothing to do with the "enemy"
he's not there yet but he's getting there
its a messy affair
No and yes? Itās more a style of warfare, but yes, defender caring about civvy makes it hit harder.
Yeah it was a joke... I think the dragoons get bodied in every engagement.
because the imperium are straight up monsters lol
the only part of guerilla that hurts is hitting and running for them
especially if its like not a massive fighting force and with sci-fi tech involved
Marines malevolent:
Also there was also some not small proxy war going on in laos and cambodia
Not to mention that you can't have an army take down a village or town because you had a few pull an attack while you weren't looking
Yeah pretty much, it becomes an absolute mess.
its why America has lost almost every major conflict overseas and fucked off back home kek
Like Elysians but less cool. (I like both of them)
I would be wary of the Viet cong example though, that war ended with them Signing a Treaty that was disfavorable to them to say the least. It's why they had to wait until the U.S. fully pulled out to re-enguage the south.
Hmm, While I'm on the T'au, what's yall's favorite sept? It's gotta be sa'cea for me.
T'au
because tan/white is too good
cannot believe Vior'la took the posterboy states š
The ultramarines did it to the crimson fist, the black templars did it to the imperial fists...
the cycle of violence continues
Midnight at me spot.
Happy New Year lore chat.
May [insert faction deity/leadership] bless you for 2025.
same with the most recent fuckup
Cant wait for the mortifactors to do it for the ultra marines
Cannibal poster boys baby
Apparently the Total Warhammer 40k game is still ago by CA.
elysians should have just been a special cadian unit instead of a whole regiment that only has 1 gimmick
Summary of the alleged rumours above;
-
has heard that no Warhammer games were affected by the restructuring / shuffling that took place at Creative Assembly at this time, but that both the Warhammer and Star Wars teams were reinforced.
-
has heard (from a trusted source) that Friends and Family testing has recently taken place, and is targeting June 2025 for an official announcement.
-
soft launch / open testing in February 2026, with full release in Winter 2026
-
has heard that campaign map will be both galaxy (system) and ground; unclear if space battles will be available at launch, but most likely.
-
new mechanics being introduced; dogfighting (for aircraft), framework for walkers. Dogfighting originally designed for cancelled WW1 Total War.
-
factions; Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, with sub-factions available.
We drop, and then because we have no ground support we die.
just drop more units until the enemy surrenders smh
Yeah its a money-bank ready to be taken so not surprised nothing regarding its plans got affected during the shuffling.
Curious if Eldar includes Drukhari or would just be CWE to start but I guess weāll see
Im gonna assume CWE
Dark Eldar are prime DLC material
that applies to everyone tho obvs
Exciting if true
I hope Inquisitors and/or Rogue Tarders get to lead some of the Imperial factions.
It definitely is
i had a tester friend in TW leak shit to me a year or two ago
the tales from the studio are so funny
Imperial Agents....

I mean that would hardly be the strangest faction for them to eventually add
And they could do it more fleshed out
Awful š
but as long as i get a hot imperial female Inquisitor lord i will buy the DLC
š°
I kinda hope they make the battles smaller scale, so the contrast between the more elite unit factions will stand out more to the horde ones
they should be bigger and have a 5 man unit of custodes kill 3500 cultists in 10 minutes
𤣠Knowing how things are I will be happy if Inquisitors and Rogue Traders are Imperial factions wildcard heroes.
me getting it depends almost entirely if they manage to have space battles in or not
Thatās what I mean though, like with marines you should ideally have a max of 100 marines or something in an army vs Orks where you could have a lot more or whatever
Bogging down marneus calgar with chaos culist units while abaddon pimpslaps the artillery
as the gods intended
All the YouTube videos of cinematic automated 40k battlesā¦
sinking transport ships in the older total war games is something i miss everyday playing tww3
doing it in space would be peak
ā¦
Imagine if they somehow managed to incorporate Battlefleet Gothic mechanics.
Peak.
In Battlefleet Gothic we call it ādestroying a Battlebarge/Strike Cruiserā
Wonder if it will be ships flying around and all field based manual combat is a boarding action
Worlds are settlements
Autoresolve is you just shooting down their ship
would be lame if it was like that
bring back naval battles
in the form of space battles
Well it would make more sense than watching kharn the betrayer go on a 1000 km sprint to the next province
Good ol ttw3 coop, 5 turns = 5 hrs
ideally the campaign map would be a system/galaxy
ā¦imagine if they implemented orbital layers.
Meaning Marines can deploy in drop pods againā¦and againā¦and againā¦and againā¦
and planets would have a few settlements ig
anyway, game will be lame until IG dlc
That there exists planets filled with wax to make candles
The lubricators
Guilliman actually listen to his very human adoptive (grand?) Mother during the Horus Heresy.
Is it like in mines or does it grow on trees? How does that work
Which game?
They make it from your moms toes
The tau volcano torture conveyor
the in-development total war warhammer 40k
Its basically how candle production is made IRL but just more grimdank
Oh peak
does there exist entire bee worlds
filled with bees
and beekeepers gathering honey and beeswax
its a death world
Local Tyranid drops onto planet, promptly and kindly asked to leave with roughly 12,400 bee stings
Also the fact that everyone imagines Agri World are fantasy farmlands when they are more canonically like the most nightmarish version of industrialised factory farming you can imagine. Even for vegetation farming.
industrial farming is pretty nightmarish in real life
^ was gonna say
so many fucking chemicals and other gross shit
its actually disgusting
Ok true.
i imagine 40k just does away with the regulation we have left
That makes sense, of course it will be capitalized just like rl
We're getting there anyway
yeah
They vary, some are massive industrialized wastelands, some are medieval worlds where they literally donāt know shit about where their crops go besides the sky people take that shit up.
i love industrial farming death to the amazon forest
Which is a hilarious image
i imagine 40k agriworlds have the topsoil eroded to the point where after x amount of time, they just become desert planets
There might be like JUST a few for those copium inhaling grognards but like yeah people forget agri-worlds exist to feed billions of people, a majority are absolutely awful places because the needed industrialism is necessary to create all the slop.
True as that is, latter version is equally likely to be a feudal world.
At least agri world workers get their food fresh (maybe)
monkeys paw curls
Oh wow
theres no happy farmlard planets unless its some backwater shithole whos main purpose is not even to make food
i love to eat the goop
so basically poland
Only the elites get actual food.
MtG has 40k cards?
Yeah
they had a collab
They did a whole set awhile back
MtG is trying to be like Fortnite
I mean
So much collab
Some pretty great art
at least agri worlds should be sunny in theory
Too much smog
they use chemicals to fast-grow crops
MtG had a bunch of Collabs
So theoretically you can have your crossover battles.
Obviously the decks are NOT balanced against each other.
I tried to find the California Girls Marine gif but this works

the why not just stack farms in skyscrapers for max efficiency
the mtg art is pretty sick
Clearly you have not been initiated in the ways of the Hello Kitty Sisters of Battle order.
to be honest if more factions know about agri worlds they would target these things to cripple the imperium
instead of that mesopotamian looking ass spiral they have going on
We do see some of them target agri worlds or try to
Janus is kinda both types of agri world, beautiful idyllic setting (that will kill you) and horrific large scale farming complexes (that will kill you)
Genestealer and Chaos Cults would have a karking field day in all honesty
easiest corruption vector ever
Same as supply depots, that makes too much sense and wouldn't really work in 40k's eternal war schtick
Sorry workers, weāve chemically removed your ability to rest!
Itās almost like the imperium has a vested interest in defending them
assailants usually get bored to death shortly after landing on an agri-world
āDonāt care what you are, where you came from or what you want, pick up a plow, youāre fucking farming now!ā
attacking the hive world with crazy space gothic architecture is much more cinematic
They just get ganged into farming
But agri worlds also usually have that architecture
not on the same scale obviously
I mean thinking about it from a stand point of which enemies are gonna be going after it for objectives
Orks often wonāt give a shit, not enough fighting
Chaos half the time is gonna be more concerned with blood shed and direct conflict too.
Drukhari arenāt gonna care about them
Aeldari would though
Aeldari arenāt in the the business of starving hive worlds often
And tyrannids would see it as a free meal
aeldari usually see imperium as a buffer between them and their real enemies
And theyāre a non factor generally on the galactic scene
Tyranids go after every planet mostly so thatās a moot point
Agri worlds are definitely nice targets for them but itās not for an objective based reason
Nah they won't touch necromunda with a 10 ft pole
Even though they have genestealers there
Tbf, no one would touch necromunda with a 10ft pole
Understandable tbh
why wouldn't they go for Munda other than they can't destroy it because it's used for this other TT game
yeah but that's another moot point because the genestealers there are literally so mutated by the unique radiation that the hive mind can't recognize them
The Genestealer weirdos
Tyranids are racist confirmed
and have weird faces
Where are my genestealers Fatshark, where are they
I guess, they had to come up with something to make this shithole tyrannid proof
i figured it was along the lines of a permanent plot cliffhanger
Hey they are bassass in space at least!
"theyre doing something and they're doing something devious...coming soon, eventually maybe"
"in 10 years"
the planet canonically has i'm pretty sure a god sleeping in it
Cadia in a nutshell
it is completely and utterly
they'll act on it when they can sell something
not that easy to navigate
Itās basically its own setting is a big part of it
How would you even make total war game in a post industrial revolution game? Ww1 alone would probably be a massive problem.
Wait what
Unless your just making Company of Heroes but bigger
when ammo runs out, you bayonet charge
probably leverage the tree system for a cover system/trench system
by adding new mechanics
This was supposed to be a reply to @dusk patrol . Thanks discord
And removing some
anyway, they allegedly shit canned the ww1 title
Make it smaller scale I suspect
the 40k total war won't have any issue because 40k tactics can get p antique
a cover system is the obvious choice
If theyāre doing space battles they might be doing boarding and stuff
with buildables and terrain
40k isn't really suited for the formation fighting that Total War is known for
yeah they first need to make a new engine though
Well weāre gonna see
it absolutely is
The game can just evolve
Idk why people always insist it couldnāt work, it just needs to evolve a bit
It would be all of those men of war assault squad videos all over again.
formation translate to squad and voila
Yeah just make it more squad based. Focus on cover. Melee and fast moving units to pin down ranged ones.
Elites like Eldar and Space Marines have less units than Orks or Guard
The existence of blanks. Them being the anti special OC's is brillant.
guard, orks and other factions are perfectly set for the 120+ model units the franchise is known for
Hardly does translate well
I mean weāre gonna see
Yeah that's what I mean
Idk it might suck but I doubt it wonāt work
it don't see why it wouldn't
Also Sega has a well known Squad based strategy game that they have
other than "it's not like before"
Companynof heroes but bigger!
Yeah like, idk where the idea is that they have to just remake Total Warhammer but with 40k units
Last time we tried squads in 40k we ended up with DoW2
40k's setting is supposed to be big in scale who cares if it's not like the tt
You play as Ork commandos
CA is capable of evolving the format, I guarantee theyāve thought about doing games from later eras before and how it would work
dow2 wasnt bad either
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't dow1
sure wasnt
But battles aren't formation based...
It's not about size
It's about how they fight
and why couldn't they be, for the game
Cause it would be stupid
why
They would have to be abundant cover built into every map, which would make it no longer Total war-unless you drastically shorten the range of all firearms
Having a Square of Guardsmen move toward a Custodes would not work
Why
yeah obviously they'd shoot them from afar instead of moving at them
There would also be a lot more hybridizing melee and ranged for units
Especially elite ones
The amount of guardsman you would need to make that match up would brick your pc dawg
skavens in tww get 160 model units
I mean, your shits gonna be flammin'
no problemo
It would be a standard total war levels yeah lol
Nucular even
See this. This would not make sense in 40k.
mauraders are 250 men strong per unit
I mean, it works in the tabletop, they could make it work in videogame form with some adjustments š¤·
Thatās kinda half the fun, you could actually illustrate the differences between elites and horde factions
Better than the tabletop does
then you have like 16 aspiring champions
Table top isn't Formation based like Warhammer Fantasy was...
So no
Try again
I imagine in a modern context it would be more like an operational command for Total War.
You tell units to move around without formations, or have certain units have aura buffs that apply as long as units are in aura range
Iāve never seen people try to talk their way out of a potentially great game, which is already being made, like I have 40k fans with this lol
it would be completely fine in 40k
If it's during 40k than they fighting would just turn into dow again.
Itās so silly to me, Iām sure CA are aware of this and probably are adjusting a lot of things and this is a big experiment.
if the perfectly alligned ranks disturb you, just have them in loose formation and you can pretend they're all individual
but for the sake of being able to manage your army
they have to be units
Like itās not like in WH Fantasy for example, that Rat Ogres actually all form one unit and attack normally
literally, they just need a few new mechanics like cover and it's done and dusted
I'm stealing this btws
Part of the charm of 40k lmao
they're afraid of peak...
If itās any good Iām gonna be very smug on a lot of servers
me too
et voilĆ
Iāve been saying Total Warhammer 40k should be a thing for a long time
more so than i already am
Tbf if 10 years ago you would have told me that one of the best 40k games would be a mechanicus xcom game I would have been a tad cynical too
I bought squad just for the 40k imperial guard mod and they took it down to add spEesH maRinES. All I want is a tactical FPS in this universe. At least on the scale of insurgency or something
explain
I was joking saying its Dorktide

40k is very much never getting a insurgency/ARMA tier game
Do not... Play with my feelings like that...
battlefield is simple enough that would be good
Making binary statements on these things is very bold these days
I am eternally grateful for darktide's existence. Even if we never get what I wanted at least I got to be a boots on the ground guardsmen
I thought you guys liked blowing up Kurds?
Silence zionist ā
When are we getting the among us 40k game?
Yeah same, its honestly a dream come true for most people which is nice.
Thereās probably already a heresy mod for among us
people were hoping for a tide game since vermintide so its neat
that's Darktide too
DO NOT SAY IT
among ... .
To actually have a tactile and weight experience with all the wargear you read about
I don't have the interrogator gif
not that one
damn it
the eyebrow one
dw i'll make it in the game industry and will make battlefield 40k happen
might've been a video too actually
Which kind of battlefield though? And which factions?
2142 or bust
All of them
GW lawyer reading this chat: maniacal laughter
i was thinking about something like
All at once
Orks vs guard
i will make it happen
God I wish RS2 were still good
YES
Tau vs guard is about as realistic-combat as you can get too
aka
pop your head out
you get shot
or worse, aimbotted by a drone
poor bastard
and when you come face to face with the enemy in melee it'll be believable when someone dies from being shanked once
Are tau drones tanky or squishy? (Lasgun for reference)
And traitor guard
same as how the Guard has lasgunillion guns
traitor guard vs guard would be too bland
Agreed, I just mean it as one more
that and nobody cares about traitor guard unfortunately on the grander scale
ideally the opposing factions are very distinct this helps players recognise who is who
Its the mirror match: it could get intense epecially if the traitor guard originated from their loyalist counterpart's regiment, which would mean they'd be using similar tactics
Honestly A lot of their designs are so bland that you wouldn't want to play as them
oh no, I went to look for some baller RS2 clips I had but I've lost all of them with the dreaded HDD implosion of 2019
Reality: You get server banned for not rp'ing accurately
RDM RDM RDM RDM

and how hard they dropped the ball with one update
It would be the easiest to balance but runs the risk of Lacking variety
we only take the good parts
Oh sorry, I forgot that you have to act like a raging insane jackass instead of a soldier of chaos when you're a traitor guard
I mean itās gonna be chaos guard vs guard with maybe space marines as an elite you can be.
Me when i wanna have a tasty meal but gotta put up with the disgusting space marine side-dish
That way they can all use the same basic guns
Space marines gotta have that crunch though, right?
I always thought that an Traitor guard modeled after the word bearers would the most interesting.
now that would be cost effective dev wise, but not very cool
Like that KFC-sounding ass crunch
unlike tau vs guard
I DO enjoy being a tall person in armor blowing up people so i cant deny it

True!
fallout gang engage
we had a huge community server for RS2 on which I played constantly. With that one dreaded update the whole community shifted to HLL and I still yearn back to the jungle
Almost battlefront like, hero units?
I need to go back
New vegas but in a hive city
Something like that
RS2 was too good and I want to go back
Battlefronts system would actually be perfect ngl
tau crisis suit call in
That last one
p cool
Having a dedicated server you'd play on doesn't just happen in this day and age. It had been +10 years since I last had something like that
With the elites being marines and maybe like SoB
ah yes don't you just love it when literal random bandits still try to rob you even though you are literally wearing a exoskeleton that can carry tank mounted guns
Fuckin Todd
I still have that in tf2
my guy you have shot me 50 times and every single one of them bounced off
Galactic conquest/dark crusade map/Red Orchestra 2 campaign style shit but with multiple factions
I wish Fallout 4 was good for anything but wearing power armour, walking around shooting anything that moves, and smoking big doinks
it's just not the same..
Imagine playing fallout for anything else
Just sometimes I crave a character that's something deeper than a walking warcrime
āOh man let me play through New Vegas and do 95% of the same things but this time I say yes instead of no to House.ā
āWhat choice! What freedom!ā
the next elder scroll will suck balls
Don't forget you can golf club House as an alternative to saying no
Now if I could do that in Fallout 4 power armor
Now weād be talking
Bioshock can suck my taint I hate it #systemshockforlife
I cannot understand how people could enjoy skyrim to begin with
The mods did the heavy lifting
it always felt like inferior fallout to me but that's mostly because i dont enjoy fantasy settings
I played Bioshock for about three hours and just took pictures of fish because I got bored of it
lots of people enjoyed these games on consoles. i dont like when people say mods are the only things that made the old bethesda games good
fallout is just tes with guns and tes is just fallout with sworsd
AND BOTH SUCK!!!
Skyrim is mid-ok, at least it's not Starfield
both suck balls
FAR CRY 3 IS SKYRIM WITH GUNS!!!!
i for one played fallout new vegas on xbox 360 and never needed to download a big boob mod or realistic guns
which also sucks
We're on a sucking spree here
WHAT
Fc3 was gas
it's peepeepoopoo
far cry 3 is a masterpiece
Far Cry went downhill after 2
this
far cry 2 sucks so much ass
could not finish 3, barely got to the second island
it's just running around doing jack shit and the story is boring
and what is FC3 if not that
it has a story
which is boring
unlike bioshock a good game for good gamers
and the characters are so memorable
Fc2 would have been great if it had an actual story + better art direction + no insta-spawning
it has one character people remember
and it has sex
what's the protagonist' name
Jason
CAN'T REMEMBER IT CAN YOU
Jason
its literally the most generic rich white boy name
he's boring af i know
but him being boring is on purpose
yeah and you could've made it up and I'd believe you
im more of an Ajay fan tho so im biased
stfu white boy
name me the far cry 2 guy who doesnt even fucking talk
army guy
You can't really defend KZ portagonists either
Iirc there's like 6 playable characters
they suck too
that's what i'm saying yeah
I mean
KZ is not about the pratgonists
so yes
lmao
everyone is here for the helghast looking drippy
and brian cox making hitler speeches
it's about sick helghan aesthetics
i love running around the map collecting diamonds while enemies spot me instantly and the combat is the same repetitive shit
far cry 3 had A FUCKING FLAMETHROWER
You should be fed to sharks
make it bun dem cheeks
š ā
and there's even a mission where you get stoned burning a weed field
as a 13 year old boy i was happy
with the dubstep playing in the background
In San Andreas, yeah. I remember that

Ngl the FC6 version of that mission was way better, even though the rest of the game sucks balls
far cry is so fucking bad nowadays
they really be grasping when they gotta redo the "weed mission" from FC3
i knew nothing of killzone like a month ago
there's like 2 far cry games that nobody even talks about
It extremely suffers from being a Playstation-locked series
the games look boring ngl but the helghan stuff is sick
same, I watched 4 hours of it's lore and core ideas
the post apocalypse one and primal
The music was so fucking good too
āBella Ciao de Libertad ā from the Far Cry 6: The Music of Yara (from the Far Cry 6 Original Game Soundtrack)| Music by La Sonora Yarana

universe looks cool, but the vibes went to shit with kz3
Love that one
FC6 seems like it could have been good, but oh well
can somebody explain to me how helldivers got a colab with a like 10 year old game
sony
Money
Sony
Why didnt the reflection of the light off his bald ass head blind the Helghast, are the writers stupid?
The cuba setting had so much potential and they ruined it
GERİLYA
for a dead IP? nah somebody in the team really wanted it
WHY DO THEY SAY IT EVERY 5 MINUTES???
somebody in the helldivers team really liked killzone
They knew it was about time you got to play as the good guys
not really
IM FUCKING GOING NUTS
Its not dead
is a new game coming?
Helghan drip was immaculate
actually i think they're big fans of warhammer at ah
KZ2 was kinda the best
idk ask Gerilya you little furry shit
it was stated
KZ2 was very much the peak of the series
the ugly industrial aesthetic and the WW2 vibes were peak
doeant the CEO play tabletop
he does iirc
I played KZ1 the most, never owned 2 but played it a bunch at a friend's house
KZ3 had dusty old space nazis bickering with each other, which gets a golden star in my book
First of all, the Helghast lost most of their vibe
that type of aesthetic was created by 2000's console limitations and i love it so much. dead space, gears of war. so much chunky industrial
but as i said, sony decides who they're allowed to collab with so good luck collabing with a non-sony owned ip
Also Malcolm fucking McDowell
there needs to be a name for chunky industrial
No it was not
KZ2
they literally say in the making of killzone
the industrial aesthetic was a stylistic choice
Yes! Exactly!
half the team was engineers of some degree lol
KZ3
its not a "limitation" thing
tf2 was all a stylistic choice too but created from limitations as well
that's not the worst offender tbf
limitations give a lot of freedom
I mean no thats not the same thing
TF2 was literally a 60's spyflick
Killzone was industrial on purpose because WW2
What is worse than?
also again the team being interested in the aesthetic
It's just charming ya know
the tech mostly
im not saying it being industrial is a limitation. im talking about the chunky ass models and stuff
I want more Killzone spaceships, bring my boys back
That was also a stylistic choice though
š
it was very common at the time
dead space, gears of war, metro 2033
the only chonky thing in that game was master chief's asscheek-
bioshock 2
It was pretty bad in shadowfall
helghans are mutants so they're chunky
fallout 3
bald fucks
Me seeing americans for the first time
where else have we seen this
harkonnen
when I played KZ for the first time I barely understood english and yet I still laughed at bald fuck
we 40k fans are clearly above the saturation of bald white men
Have you guys seen the video essay on killzone where they just kept spamming BALD FUCK
mutant's - only difference is that they are more pale
kz mercenary was the peak of the series
YES
they're like stronger than a normal human and more resillient
It's my favorite too. And unfortunately the only one I got to play feom start to finish
Helghans special ability is asthma
Maybe but like we get to know it from Helghast propaganda itself
yeah but they punch good
@storm jungle resident evil 4, 5, 6
Nobody in those games was chunky
what the fuck
have you even played those games
the models
No???
yes
??
Other than that we find notes from Helghast Scientists researching their genome and finding it almost identical to regular human one
Chris redfield is full of tren
Chris is the only huge guy
I'm sorry but the 7th console gen grey ass shitty aesthetic is the worst ever
literal garbage
Brown grey got boring after a while
Chad Boris appreciation hours btw
"PISS."
everything was brown gray in the late 2000's early 2010's
this is why i'm so happy valve didn't go with the half life 2 beta look
i like when it' sunny
now everything is colourful and nikki minaj dlc
more sun please
PLEASE SONY, RELEASE IT ON MODERN HARDWARE
i feel like hl2 struck a middle ground between bleak and cheerful
And that guy was later killed by ISA
the models are depressing but not as depressing as other games
Perhaps it was overplayed at the time-nowdays however, We get sixty million pastel colored Indie games and Every AAA game had that overwatch h/Pixar softness to them
whenever they let bloodborne go
Fuckers too, hate em
It did get boring after while, and then games a lot more colorful
And now colorful got boring, and people want the old brown back
Also me when @crystal forum says anything regarding Gaymers
nikki minaj pink hair dlc
I really disliked it then and I dislike it more now, hope we never go back
The new dragon age is just so... Colorful
Beat me to it
Imo the witcher 3 is the only game that has gotten away with vibrant colors
Boris was the best character in the whole franchise
Its because its color palette depends on the region
Also returning to Shadowfall
The european-esque country side is bleak because theres corpses, dead and ruins everywhere
Novigrad is colorful because its a lively town
That's just Eastern Europe
Touissant is INCREDIBLY vibrant because its a medieval fantasy land
I think KZ3 just fucked the main lore and Shadowfall just worked with what was left to it
call of duty zombies went from bleak early 2000's gritty colours to PURPLE AND PINK CHTULU COCK ENERGY
Shadowfall ruined everything alas
I approve, as a local resident
Soft reboot Killzone ok thanks
I was going through the other messages so took a minute to get to the PISS
they should let me do it
And release killzone trilogy remastered
LAMBDA should be lead dev
Shorter version š
i support this
i will save killzone (i didn't knew it existed 2 months ago)
They Crucified him
When I visited Poland in the early mid 2000s I stayed at a village that was at best 50% roofed and it was so bleak
Very cheap though I lived like a king
Anyway basically no matter how much the Shitdivers playerbase bitched, Helghan shall live on and sell more cosmetics.
All divers will be destroyed if it comes to it ā
it sold well
incredibly well
This post has been fact checked by true helghan patriots
Typical Vektans, yellow as PISS
Honestly all of his Dialogue should be written in bold caps
It was a little overpriced by anything for Helghan
It helps that the helghast are all voiced by Cadian tier angry british dudes
"VEKTAN SCUM"
Do you know if there's any other Helghast armors that they could put up on the cosmetics store?
Honestly, decent KZ game which will follow lore after KZ2 but not the way KZ3 did
Tons
helghast got so many units
i want the combine in hd2
they'd fit right in
Holy shit TF2
There were a lot of armor suits that didn't make it into the games too
hl2 collab
does this mean we might get concord crossover
Make my Helldivers ship a Helghast one, it'd be dope
the best game of 2024
the bast part is
it would barely look any different
lol
Okay so there's a ton they should add
Also yeah barely, they got tons
Man the spaceships looked cool
I'm stealing this
They guys we lost
God speed
THE PROLETARIAT!
also my favorite part of that game is those guys are literally civillians pushed into fighting you
its so fucking funny
Yeah, also it's kinda half both
I did like the dinky shitty stupid Vektan drop platform things. Incredibly lame things
Yeah in the next level some helghast literally call them "parasites" like bitch im just doing my job
Weren't wr supposed to get a helghast voice pack too?
Well, that's how it works in dictatorships
lmao yea
I'd kill for more of these
same
SILENCE
like this spacebrick
you should see the vektan spear-ships in KZ2
they literally fucking-
got containers on their sides
since they are shitty repurposed corporate army vessels
Weren't this guys pressed into service?
Mostly yes
everyday i pray they finally use the automaton spacebrick in game
please ah
i need it
Just saw this lol
I didnāt know that š
Yeah its a rare one lmao
it has broadsides...
Still, like it's a dictatorship, you could not throw away that some of them may just be fanatical
And I'm caught up!
