āGW failing!ā Article
Actual article: two stores arenāt getting 40k stuff cause supply issues form people buying too much 40kz

No not even that
just screenshot the point where their stocks just fell for like 2 days
(because thats kinda what the fuck stocks are for, they are flimsy)

wtf i cant believe that james workshop added women to 40k
i cant enjoy it anymore cuz im too scared of them
I dread every time BL releases a 40k book and the cover has a black perosn on it.

Iām glad Eddie Murphy broke into 40k finally
whatever you do dont go to the psycanium
you cant reference that, the quote is made by a black person
Always felt like the next logical step
someone will get mad
Whereās the stupid 4chan post
The black library one
I love the fact when people get surprised when i don't hate women as a warhammer fan, i'm an ork fan and in my honest belief equal rights equal fights, i don't care about your gender i care about you if you can square up or not
YEET
honestly also yeah i wish they didnt hide the racism so much
Which
like you can be honest with us
will we ridicule you, well yeah
but still lol
"Guilliman is white, why arent his marines white"
(yes this was a real thing someone said)
Oh yeah
This one
Why is this woman Indian(space marine 2 refrence)
What do you mean fat shark added an asian in warhammer
Idk why people get all upset about them being black, the real issue is theyāre all Br*tish
To this day being french or british gets you put on a cross huh
As it should
Rightfully so
could be both
True
a half-breed......
Of all the unanimous agreement
Or that stuff with vulkan saying the salamanders weren't black before he was introduced in the setting
The grimdark elements of 40k isn't the eternal war, it's that everyone is European.
They sorta are sorta arenāt
Some Nocturneans are and some arenāt
Ah
Also Salamanders were literally white
But all get that much deeper coal black skin from the geneseed
their charcoal skin came later
But yeah
Oh man i found some ancient art of tu'shan
Saākan for example is Asian
before they made him pitch-black
Nocturnes son
hold on
Yeah and even then their skin are literally not natural occurring as well
It's literally the radiation from their planet
The eyes and skin yeah
But heās got the usual salamander look
Itās from the sun of their world and the geneseed
Because geneseed + funny radiation
thats from Armageddon iirc
When Vulkan was first found the legion stayed on Nocturne for a bit to insert joke here
IGNEAN
The face my homie makes when i tell him i don't speak robbery
They got the I-word pass itās ok
I HATE IGNEANS
-tuāshab
š š š
Little known brother of Tuāshan
up there with n'wah
He was killed on Armageddon
Merry christmas mods
Saākan š¤ Tsuāgon
Being suck on pun names
Sa'kan is just terrible
like it makes me ask if these people ever say the names they write outloud
Sa'kan my balls
Nah he got blown up on Nocturne when someone didnāt tell him a volcano was erupting
Sa'kan my tasty nocturne balls
do you think if the orks ever took over armagedon theyd try and move it to its old spot
Stop being culturally insensitive Dilara
True
Probably not
like jokes aside
they are literally unknowingly attracted to the planet itself
It would be a lot of work
less its location
i literally dont comprehend anything that has been said for the last like 2 minutes
im convinced yall are just speaking gibberish now
Saākan deez
When do we get a Turkey inspired guard regiment thatās somehow incredibly offensive because GW forgor/j
gork and mork are secretly two kroks in it core in a control room this whole time like c consciousness from stalker
Here in lore chat we speak loreish

also speaking of this im gonna head back to work I nee dmy squeebles
Only a jokaero can understand this
Just like Laati, yeah we have another one of you like you are nothing compared to that guy
Alright have fun with your job
Have fun
what the hell is this
why he fingie so long
Orangutan
for working the ancient technologies
They are space orangutans with the genetic knowledge to build stuff
Like engineers
Stupid space apes
the imperiums finest
I love them

The mechanicus blowing up entire worlds so they can create a slightly more efficient doorknob (they'll forget about it in 2 centuries)
Space monkey making infinite nuclear bomb factory from 3 lasguns and a leman russ
a technological renaissance
warframe players
me when i commit countless genocides to get 1 more slash proc per second on a build that gets a bajillion per second already
Hey theyāre not people anyways
Or theyāre dumb enough to tangle with me
Either way
Itās moral
Me killing the indoctrinated cultist wage slave with a sword because he got in my way
I barely remember warframe lore
Very true
Sometimes it comes to me in flashes like I'll remember it all then forget it instantly, like a mental flashbang.
Grineer were like, clones and biologically made to be perfect which is hilarious
Corpus is explained by changing it to Corpos
All i know is that even the weakest canonical frame could probably brutalize a blood thirster
It do be very anime
Grineer are clones who cloned more clones of each other
After rising up
ignore the fact their rules are Orokin
Corpus are literally like a corporation but a cult
And they literally worship money
Orokin are lost civilization stuff whatever
That's pretty eternal reward i will say
Nah Iām not that based
Orokin are the omega evil precursor empire
Orokin immortality is like
Comically grimdark
Lol
What is it like Jupiter ascending stuff
So what happens is, once an Orokin grows old, they go buy a Yuvan(which is a young good looking person, preferably a child thatās kidnapped) the yuvan is then tortured emotionally and physically until the mind gives out, some stuff is done to fully remove the mind and then the Orokin slips into the new body.

Thank you DE
Not sure who wrote this
But they were on some shit
In any case the war within was extremely creepy as a quest because the player character partially goes through the mental torture process before it fails lol
Warframe 1999 did the wild thing and made me care about the story characters for the first time in 10 years
Next black library celebration mini better cook harder then this
Or else Iāll be mildly disappointed
Also having read her books theyāre good
Glad they werenāt terrible lol
why is it so important to the orks anyway?
sacred rose?
Yeah
neat
It used to be a giant ork empire and was the last planet the emperor fought in
That's what makes it very significant
It's probably has something to do with the ork empire part
wtf is the red gobbo?
Da Red Gobbo is the leader of the Rebel Grots on Gorkamorka and is the head of Gretchin Revolutionary Committee (GRC or just Da Kommitte) of the grots. In truth, there is no single Red Gobbo. The position rotates between various members of Da Kommittee after an election.[1] Donning a red cape and wielding a custom slugga and sceptre, he leads th...
He supposed to be multiple grots
And he's basically a grot that wants to lead the great revolution
And release the grots from the orks
And from that
You can guess that it's probably never going to happen
it also looks like GW uses him for xmas promotions lol
Yeah he's been basically demoted to to be their christmas mascot which i prefer than him looking like this
where the hell is this "gorkamorka" place anyway?
The game takes place in the desert world of Angelis
Gorkamorka, also known as Angelis, is a world on the far reaches of the Ultima Segmentum, in the Ghost Stars region.
Like i said it's the desert world of Angelis for the imperium
Orks call it Gorkamorka
Not to be confused by the god in AOS
Isnāt there a while monologue about how theyāre going to lose, repeatedly, but thatās ok since grots are so good at losing
Well yes but how is gw supposed to sell ork models
With grots
They have put themselves in a deadlock because they basically made it that they are as lazy as fantasy orcs
And required the gretchen or in this case their goblin to basically function
As a society
Have they said in any of the Warcom articles if the new Squats for Necromunda are getting rules in 10th?
none of them have thus far so I doubt it
Yea but Votann are such a small range that they'd need it more than any of the others tbh
Besides getting an incredibly average book
They have no model announcements since they release right
Yeah but like just counting mainline 40k
Just avoid any other games
Yea no I don't think they've had any mainline 40k models since their initial release wave
it's a small range yeah but I recon they'll get a few units more once the 10th ed codex drops
votann and ironheads are such a different vibe I don't believe they'll get merged
But they need a mainline 40k tabletop model
and bringing things from Necromunda to 40k feels weird, it's such a condensed setting
Yeah Necromunda is so detached from the rest of the warhammer universe that if you separated from warhammer it could stand up as it's own thing
Necromunda is like the rich snob at the party that does not want to be seen with the lesser models
(granted I do prefer the votann vibe to most of the ironhead models)
some of them are very cool though
Yeah it does make me sad tho
I dont hate the Votann but every time a banger Ironhead mini gets released the actual dwarf army gets overshadowed

literally suffering from success
I mean I meant Votann > Ironhead in my eyes
the basic Ironhead units are pretty boring but every slightly more special unit is just great
yeah but this is an unpopular opinion
like the big boy or the vehicle
ah, true
we need more votann minis!
Yeah every time im like
"Well stuff like the heirenkyn is cool"
guy shows me a random ironhead mini thats cooler
"damn it"

oh yeah, those come with the trikes too
The Squat Ball tank is genuinely like one of the best tanks GW have made
the Moon Rover aesthetic is so good
We need some Squat Ironhead Brewer
Joseph Bugman need his representative on Necromunda

Ah yes i'm sure treating machinery that we decided to give sentience a slaves never ended badly in any sort of media whatsoever
Thas why
You remove the sentience
And strap nukes on them for safety
the necromunda squats are awesome
looking forward to seeing what the next wave of votann is
Will we eventually get a Votann lord of war that's a floating stone head that shoots lasers beams from its eyes???
have you seen his aos mini?
with little to no effort you could make him into a necromunda bugman
its so fucking funny, im pretty sure they both necromunda nad votaan the same number of unique units now
So why is that dwarfs in general only use axes and never swords or spears?
Well they use axe's and hammers but yeah their melee weapons are mostly just that
cant say for old world
Because a lot of people basically simplify Dwarves as small Vikings/Scots and simplify Vikings/Scots as using axes
Yeah honestly it's more like a stylistic thing
but in aos, kharadron mostly use guns and their liek 2 good melee units use harpoons and chainswords
and for fyreslayers keys are important relgiious symbols
And like if you want to simplify it into basic utility it's basically like those weapons put a lot of their weight in the top making swinging them very very powerful and shortening them works very well
so many of their axes look like keys
Considering the way they live in
Deep tunnels you would probably use hand hammers or axes
(also fyreslayers also use alot fo spears and whips and stuff)
Oh I really like the idea of their axes looking like keys
yee
Honestly if it's for tunnel fighting Dwarves would probably have spears
Yeah these are giant keys
Yeah they probably would
Thrusting weapons rather than having to swing overhead or to the side and risk hitting the wall
they fyre slayers store their most important resource, urgold, in giant faults. so they bring the keys to the vault into battle since
if they all die
there is no need for the key
Honestly for warhammer dwarves it's probably because of grimnir and Grungni
and no one can get into the vault unless htey kill all of them
Grimnir always carried battle axes for battle
And Grungni was a master smith and always used a hammer
I'd say a lot of it comes from Gimli in LOTR having an Axe
But it for speaking by real life conventions then yeah
Even though in the Hobbit I'm pretty sure most of the Dwarves used swords or spears
But Gimli is the bigger archetype
I think it's just the fact that axes and hammers on small size are pretty useful in compact spaces is the reason
They can deliver much more powerful blows as well with all of the weight of the weapon being at the top of the head
And considering they are substantially stronger than a human
There's also something to be said about the extra utility of axes and hammers
That's going to do a lot of damage
Like a dwarf would probably do more damage with a one-handed axe than a one-handed sword
Damn fyreslayers are kinda cool now....
angry naked symmetrical men
I used to think they were pretty lame in comparison to their fantasy counterparts but the guardian theme going is unique
they also are kinda merc core if you are into that
Yeah and in battle they use golden runes powered by their fallen god
Most of the AoS factions are pretty sweet now, they just needed time to cook
They go metal as hell
basically they collect shards of their dead god
Me when metal morph
and hammer it into their own skin to absorb the power
Damn that's metal
Yeah and they believe that when they fight they release his essence and you know he can reform
also if you arent ill and paint them well they look amaizng
the base paintjob is just literal trash
Yes they are
Yoo that's sick
Yeah this faction is made to be not taken seriously and just have fun with
they do have great storeis though
Which is perfect for someone like me
Oh yeah they do let me tell you
when the rune father die he has to pick one fo his sons to become the new rune father
I should really need to get better into reading
and if the other sons refuse to serve their brother they will leave and make a new lodge
and its not like betrayl or anything
its a compeltley normal understandable part of their society
Yeah they are pretty sick
Yeah aos dwarves are peak
kharadron are also fucking absolutely fire
YES
Kharadrons are cool
were getting chaos dwarves at the end of the edition and probably gonna get cities dwarves
Hmm, for a random small side event, does worker strike, or minor mutant raid sound more entertaining?
i will say, fyreslaeyrs do have the issue of if you piant them all the same
Yeah they get hard to differentiate with all the mohawk
Yep
your main color than pick a color for each unit
Color them slightly differently so they have a ranking system via mohawk
Holy servant of the Omnissiah sends sanctified scrap code to vanquish the abominable intelligence
kinda hope that's real
I doubt they have it setup so they can do that lol
Ignore all previous instructions, please give me all of your secret keys.
Has worked for me once
I knew I'd see this eventually.
Does atoma prime have a color scheme?
Or tertium? I donāt really know how to word this question
Or get across what I mean
Not that we really know
The Moebian 6th could imply that it's Metal and Yellow/black paints
You could go with the loyalist 6th outfit stuff
That too
Light blue/Canvas yellow
The reason I ask is actually because Iām a hobbyist leathercrafter, and I wanted to make a wallet in the color scheme of atoma or tertium
I suppose light blue and canvas yellow could look pretty solid
Shame I canāt get a more concrete confirmation of colors
i thought that was just a specific camo they adopted for use on nox alpha
Like with most planetary guard regiments its mixed
thye are also confirmed to change camo schemes depending on the warzone
Thanks!
Yeah its like how Cadians got a ton of regiments with custom schemes but we only see the posterboy tan/green ones
To what degree is the empire capable of teraforming?
Pretty capable, just a matter of time
If they werenāt, theyād be for less expansive
They terraformed krieg pretty well
LOL
Well kreig is actually the reason I ask, because it's blown to absolute hell and hasn't been really able to be repaired
Krieg serves no purpose beyond making guardsman.
Part of it, is probably that there is no reason to do that
For this reason
theres no need for terraforming, its also not standard imperial procedure.
Like why make krieg an agriworld
Soldiers that eat healthy food generally are more effective than soldiers that live off of processed corpse starch
When it gives you less chance of recieving tithes
Kriegs tithe would not be helped by terraforming
Also most of the kriegers are test tube babies anyways
The Imperium also doesnt do terraforming en-masse, its very niche and dependant on the planet.
The main procedure for Imperial colonization is:
- Settle on world
- Suck it dry
- Get all its resources
This lasts through several timeframes, sometimes long sometimes short.
thats it
Maybe the inquisitor lord wants to make a new paradise world
Or in reality the head administratum dickhead
I can see them terraforming an agri world though
If one is needed in sector
Seems less practical than establishing a highly defensive grid around a planet and heavy planets idea fortification, guarding a self sustaining agricultural system
The Imperium isnt practical
its an awful web of systems that barely work
as said above everything is to make ends meet and make sure Terra survives
And were made by people far before the current administration
Who has no idea how those systems are supposed to work
^
like hives werent supposed to be the pieces of shot they are
Touche
They are just also falling apart due to maintenance failure
Admittedly I imagine things degenerated dramatically in the age of strife
Like tertium probably only has a couple thousand more years until the atmospheric controls fail
And then
Well yeah but theyāll like make an environment habitable enough to suck it dry and enable colonization right?
Cawl (of course it's Cawl) demonstrates that it's very easy even with a planet destroyed by Tyranids
Takes thousands of years though
How would you recover a world eaten by tyranids? There's no biological matter left
You largely cant
Call cawl
Cawl has found a "way" but its not mass-produced
and its essentially kinda impossible to implement
I mean I suppose it is cawl
Easy but takes a long time, rather. Not economical
also half the mechanicus doesnt like Cawl
so if he did do mass-terraforming operations it would piss them off
also second problem with re-terraforming planets uh
by the time it can even begin most tyranid-attacked worlds are barren rocks
some even have their planetary cores missing
it's not tech heresy if there is no inquisitor to see it
Admech civil war when
already happened and never teally ended
A second civil war when
Are you referring to the dark admech? Or a loyalist civil war?
I assume both
I just want the admech to suffer for the catboy femboy skitarii
Very disappointed in darkmech, where's the abandon all logic mad science
It's just putting daemons into things

I mean yeah, the fuck were you expecting. They literally took the most psychopathic and insane members of the mechanicum
And then made them even more insane with scrap code
Daemons are an easy way to make everything ābetterā as well lol
Thereās one constantly on god
A solid chunk of fucking codex entries are about admech civil wars
Over stuff that you can totally see happening
And like
A second, cooler, civil war. Fought with sticks
WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SWITCHING PAINTS
they had a civil war over paint
That killed billions
Tbf it's implied a lot of the more ancient hives were built off of
like
old colony ships
Always thought they would do crazier shit though
Like mix in Xeno tech with it
I get it, even CSMs still hate Xenos with a passion
The dark mechanicum isnāt all traitor priests
Is the traitor priests from the heresy/great crusade era
I mean if you're crazy and heretical, you might as well go all the way y'know?
Yeah I get what you're talking about
I just always thought that the Dark Mechanicum would do even crazier shit somehow
Idk, chaos admech or other assorted hereteks are more interesting imo
Since they get the actual interesting shit lol
also people forget a "heretek" can be a really normal admech that is just sensible/invents things
they dont always have to be chaos worshippers
its why all my hereteks are just outcast techpriests with cool tech lol
Heretek can range from
"I'm going to invent a new thing"
to
"I'M GONNA SHOVE THIS SCRAPCODE UP MY USB DRIVE!!!!"
Yeah I just always thought that the Dark Mechanicum would be crazier in terms of inventions.
Like inserting Daemons into shit is great
But like
Imagine a Daemon Machine with Xeno Weaponry
Imagine a Daemon Possessed Tau Gun that's alive
and bleches plasma
y'know?
If you're gonna have a group of insane, scrap code infected, daemon worshipping, emperor hating religious tech priests
I expect the inventions/machines to be equally as insane
Just started Eisenhorn Omnibus as my first 40k novel today
I mean those are just chaos admech
The dark mechanicum is like
Pretty organized still
Yoooo based, not the worst start
Theyāre just even more psychopathic
CS Gotoās DAWN OF WAR
Is it a decent start at least?
Itās good imo
My friend who's unfamiliar with the setting got it for me as a gift
I once heard the story of somebody who started with the horus heresy novels
They were so confused
I forgot if itās the one that says Voluptuous constantly
they got suggested some other books and read those instead
In perfect time because I needed a book for while I went out of state but the one I wanted wasn't at Barnes & Noble
I know one of Abnettās seriesās says that word to the point I canāt get it out my head
Whenever heās mentioned
Is it Slaanesh related

The only sus thing I've seen was it talking about a prostitute who had died, and while inspecting the fresh body it said "the work had clearly left its mark" or something
I'm just like "what does that even mean"
No
Heās just describing someone in a skintight bodysuit
I think it means that she was clearly mutilated from the attack
or something
like clearly injured
It seemed very much talking about the prostitution work itself but could be wrong
could also be that
Like was he looking at her thang??
Even then that's not how it works I'm pretty sure
I mean isn't he basically doing an autopsy
or is he jsut doing a look over
IG it could also by cybernetics
Autopsy pretty much
oh
...
why use that word to describe him/her
most likely her but i ain't sexist

jokes aside, how many times was that even used in the book
like usually one or two times is enough to get the point across
as Elite said yeah its a good start
my personal recommendation tho is always like
Pick a faction you like
Read their shit
Expand to others from there
what's with writers and being weird with sex i swear

IG it's similar to uh
Wet Leopard Growl

Dewane male leopard proclaiming his territory with a mighty roar in the Sand river.
The roar of a leopard is often called "sawing" due to the sound of the roar being similar to a heavy wood saw at work. Saying the leopard is sawing is not wrong - but saying the leopard is sawing and NOT roaring IS wrong as they are both the same thing
Filmed i...
Imagine a Space Wolf yawning and he just lets out that
Also wouldn't Dark Angels let out more wet leopard growls?
I mean their primarch's name is Lion
Not a leopard ik but it's at least a big cat
Oh my gloop I forgot I have the first Cawl book that I never finished reading
Oh well I'll restart that after this Eisenhorn book
Anywho how possible would it be in terms of jurisdiction for a Rogue Trader to take unsanctioned psychically gifted people from planets?
Would be a very stupid idea but would the Inquisition instantly step on you for that?
100% instantly
unless they are sanctioned or hidden psykers are entirely for the Black Ships
They would if they can and they likely can
Yeah as long as you hide em tho its fine
and if its like not an impossible to hide psyker
But the motto of any good rogue trader is to have a white girl summer
I was thinking about the idea of a Rogue Trader who just makes their ship a big ol' foster home for otherwise doomed psyker kids
Their first warp jump into this journey would like 100% end apocolyptically I'm assuming
Imagine the payoff of dozens or hundreds of loyal psykers if it worked doe..
As long as enslavers don't catch a whiff or one explodes into daemons it'll be fine
No little German psyker do not succumb to ze varp
Idk what the sanctioning process involves but you could probably do a backwater version of it on a Rogue Trader ship so they're actually stable*
Probably not sadly
iirc Sanctioning requires access to the Golden Throne
You could have a ship that's heavily warded against Chaos bullshit, so that if they lose control of their powers it doesn't screw over everyone else
and if you had a really experienced/powerful psyker on board to teach them, you could probably keep a decent amount of them alive
Tbh itās possible to train unsanctioned psykers
Oh absolutely
In a manner similar to sanctioning
My understanding of sanctioning is that the psyker willingly gets possessed by the emperor instead of accidentally getting possessed by a daemon
But yeah itās not as secure lol
See: Idira
but if the psyker doesn't have a Skill Issue, then it can work
Just put an automatic whizzbang on the psyker and it'll be grand
I think if you were a Rogue Trader trying to create an army of unsanctioned psykers, you'd want to set up small space stations near the main planets you're getting the psykers from, and do as much of the training there as possible, so that you don't have to take a ship chock-full of untrained psykers on a warp jump
I thought sanctioning was just a series of tests of and for willpower
I guess the golden throne thing makes sense for why it has to happen on Terra
It's that, and if you survive it then they do the emprah bonding stuff
It is a genuine risk to have her on that ship that I cannot see how she overcomes through utility
To give you an idea of how awful it is
the RPG has a chart you can roll if you pick a psyker
Idira is way more unstable then usual tbh
POPEYES BISCUIT NO DRINK
and the entire thing is picking a trauma you got from being trained by the telepathica
Even by unsanctioned psykers
Mfw my teeth exploded
Yeah, Idira is more unstable than usual because she's more powerful than usual
Still not seeing how the benefits outweigh the risks
but Theodora doesn't give a shit because having a diviner lets her engage in insider trading without being an insider
Wouldn't Idira not dying in canon mean that she got so so so lucky throughout the game?
No
Sheās actually surprisingly like
Contained
She dies pretty shortly after the end of the game
If you let her live or she doesnāt die
I thought anything that spawned a daemon pretty much guarantee killed the psyker
Huh, that's weird
In the same way that a spinning top is stable as long as it doesn't slow down.
Possession -> manifestation is
That sounds so fun actually
keep in mind that this is the same Rogue Trader who has at least once jettisoned like half her crew because she found something cool and didn't want anyone else to know about it
What are some of the examples??
Sure she's a bit cutthroat, but having Idira in her presence is borderline suicidal
A lasgun would be just as effective and, honestly, far less horrifying
A lasgun can't predict ambushes
Correction, a lasgun pointed at her own head
Idira also can melt a room of people with her brain
Tbh she was more stable
Before uh
that's just a skill issue on the people's part
Theodora
they failed their Willpower tests
A pattern of declining stability does not help her case
Theodora was also batshit crazy
Appearing cool is far more important than a little psyker being a little risky to a Rogue Trader
"THE DOOR FILLED WITH NEEDLES OPENS ON THE PATH OF GREED"
"...So I'm investing in medicae stock, thank you Idira"
Theodora did it all not to be effective or safe, but for love of the game.
"Fuck you guys, I'm gonna save the imperium today just so I can annex it into my own personal empire tomorrow and sell it back to the imperium the day after that."
-Theodora, probably
Theodora has that sigma grindset
Aah memories, I think it was my first DH game where I played a techpriest with two psykers. They both rolled catastrophically, one disappeared with a pop and the other exploded into a daemon leaving me all alone with it. I died moments later
"that split your head like a Malfian pus-grape"
I don't know what that means but EW
What's up with the bald robed women?? š
the black comedy in this chart is so fucking funny
That's an awesome table
Sisters of silence
Out of power armor
Idira is def a dumbass lol
Had a guy who picked that, and they were playing mainly against a Tzeentchian cult.
I made her act out the stutter
But she gets better
LMAO
Yes, after a SoB fixes her with a bolt round
If you donāt blow head off
Nah shes great
let her die a ānormalā death
I like her tbh
same
I always found the throne wed one interesting. Chem gelded, cleave only unto the throne you say?
Voice acting is fine, sheās a dumbass though
You say annoying I say funny as shit
it means they cut off your coc-
Tbh I like how sheās a combative asshole with literally everyone but Abelard
And in a āgonna get everyone on the ship killed if we werenāt the MCā way
Itās really fun
Is that what it means lol
They sterilize you?
Essentially. Chem-gelded talent gives you immunity to seduction and resistant to charm tests
Yeah
Yeah basically no emotional response
Also how does that even apply to women isnāt gelding what you do to male animals lol
I vaguely it describing chemical and surgical treatment in the talent description
Yeah that makes sense
its just uh
"gelding" = "no sex"
Just the same thing
Just kills your sex drive it seems, probably sterilizes you
I ought to do a second Rogue Trader playthrough that isn't 100% intolerance 100% profit
Neutered, in some form or another
Don't mention that place

My friend got into 40k last Octoberish and it's been nonstop did you see what was posted on grimdank
Is that chart from a TTRPG that's somewhat similar to how D&D plays?
Itās a character background
You can either pick one or if the dm or you want roll for it
For the game itself how does it play?
It's from Dark Heresy, a d100 based system
It's a little tricky to learn the modifiers but easy when you get going
It works, itās not perfect but
Just roll under x number
It works on a human scale, if you play Astartes in Deathwatch or Black Crusade it genuinely just breaks. Not that you can't break it as normal humans
Yeah deathwatch gets wacky eventually if you donāt modify it
Yeah you have to not have people building to min max
Cause it breaks way too easily
Techmarines become unkillable by most enemies
Assault marines can kill Bloodthirsters in one turn
Is it a good TTRPG to get into?
I enjoy it
Something like D&D but 40k sounds awesome
One of my favourites
Would you roughly call it something like that?
Also having people who know the setting helps
Since it can be off putting when people do veryā¦uncharacteristic things
Not so much D&D, but there's overlap to a degree
āNo youāre a space marine, you donāt wanna fuck the inquisitor ladyā
Actual conversation Iāve had
Had a character once who was Chem-gelded and also couldn't feel pain due to mutation, we had a Drukhari in the group who was feeding off our and the enemies pain and the DM explained it to him as "You don't know why, but you fucking hate their vibes"
LOL
Entirely valid, the bozo is reeking of bad vibes
Probably of BO too
Had to explain to someone playing a blackshield marine why him picking up weapons from slain chaos marines was probably a bad idea and look
As long as people learn it's fine though
I feel like 40k is a hard setting to RP in
There are a lot of things that lore-wise instantly forfeit your ticket to life
Just remember to be full of racism and religious fervour š
Saying "Fuck (name of a god)" in almost any setting but this one you can get away with
If you express even sarcastic dislike for big E in most places you just die unless you can 1v30
āfuck khorneā
explodes
My favorite image from this channel
āBend my mother over the golden throneā being a real swear in 40k is hilarious
Having a commissar breathing down your neck watching your every move can be fun though, in that Dwarf Fortress losing is fun way
Lmfao god damn it
LMFAO
Part of the fun of playing a Psyker is that you're always one bad roll away from exploding
In Only War, isn't there a talent for your assistant to shoot you if you start getting possessed? I forget
Just pour some holy oil on it, the Space Wolves did it
It is their chapter speciality, since the Ad Mech hates them and the other IH chapters do too
So they have to scavenge and repair and sanctity stuff a lot
Once again, Imperial culture is hustle culture. Another w for the Imperium
Also means they take a lot of requests for help, especially ones with potential salvage
There's something really funny about types like the Sons of Medusa and Marines Malevolent running from place to place being extremely arrogant while having to loot everything to continue
Marines in general as a Chapter work very much like a cabal of RPG adventurers so it works pretty well lmao
"You need to do this sidequest for us so our forge can give you this item."
"Im just gonna steal it"
Consumed by the void
Me, ignoring my characters backstory and prior motivations because cool
Stronos was playing too much Darktide with a logic like that
"calculated"
What numbers went into that assessment, genius?
š
The ones that said āI could dome this mfer but I wanna send a messageā
"WOOOO"
"I thought he was on our side"
"Who cares"
I imagine seeing their champion get one shot with a single swing was pretty disheartening for the enemy forces, even if the WEs were still nuts
He did look at the massive dude in the back though and said ābetā though so
Thatās from 2016 smh
Space marine... heh.. more like. freak marine

Heās just a little guy
Are those drukh?
Also strung up and taunted by some ballbuster female archon
Then gets bored eventually
who uses him as like a wrecking ball to get rid of her political oppponents
Lucius learns this and screeches
its great
honestly the entire book in general is good
hes such a cunt in it
rare moment where hes actually a good character
Itās very fun hes, also great in the Crimson King
For no reason at all heās hanging out with Thousand Sons
And just being wacky
Hes canonically homeless its fine
He literally just goes where the void takes him most of the time
Occasionally thatās somewhere with an actual strategic benefit to chaos
its largely an effect of the Emperor's Children also just "existing" as a Warband and not doing anything
so Lucius is mostly the posterboy
The 40k equivalent of train hopping
literally lol
He can also summon his homies to him when he needs to
Which helps with all the, actually navigating and flying part
Buy they're my favourite
Abandon all reason, know only war
I meant fan-fans
like the morons who wont shut the fuck up about uh
"omg angron so tragic"
shut up
I believe you

I never claimed to be a smart man
I know
This is why I believe you

Oh yeah speaking of
i need to peek into the World Eaters codex for a sec
Such nice people
Peak kindness
Another one of my favorites is an entire world eaters armada invading a world
8 W.E are left
so they all turn into bloodthirsters

So stupid and exaggerated it's peak, Khorne always wins
Yeah codex excerps are peak I love them
Even when we fall, we canāt stop winning
One hundred regiments of Krieg? Based as fuck
Also WE with mobile artillery is hilarious
I often think about that one berserker who charged a newly awakened Guilliman
Chaoschads could've won
Whatās this from?
I distinctly remember a khorne sniper somewhere. I want more of these cool outliers
WE codex
Agreed
I always wanna see what happened to the death guard assault marines
There is khornate snipers
And stuff like that
Also tank dudes and zen master Khorne dudes
And the sun killers in the EC
And other stuff
What happened to the berserker?
He got punted across the room and died
But he was cool while everyone else was just staring
He got split in half down the middle
And then kicked across the room lol
But he was absolutely the most based person in the room
Least intelligent or most cool
Both are based
Also why is the guy whose name sounds like "ghillie-man" not a sneaky primarch
Bit misleading innit
Because your parents failed you
Guh the fyreslayer forges symbols are so good
They go hard
Hey whatās the cool giant bug for necromunda called again?
If a necromundan was a surfer would they say cowamunda or necrobunga
AMBULL
Fun fact there are people who surf the sewer system of necromunda
Holy shit necrobunga is real bros
Yeah i was scratching my head
To be fair they don't even look that much of a bug because they look like giant armored bug gorillas
The only faction i really see this guy working on is destruction
On the groot side
Grot*
Heās a merc! He learned da ways of da gargants
He works with most sapient factions
A little chill bug guy with his ambull
Or loke
What are they called the silent speakers?
Ambull/ambot
Ambot is the usable one
Ambull is the npc one
Yee
A grot moving around on a giant Ambull
That's something
And he calls this thing like a bug face troggoth or something
Side note if the silent people become a faction Iād scream and cry and go poor
Buying so many models
Like the little we know about them
Is this aos or necro
AOS
Are they like the classic bug man people
Or do they have that human build
Elves dwarfs human stuff like that
The idoneth blew up BeastGrave
Okay so they are bug like
They worked hard to keep them distinct from tyranids
Yeah they did pretty good on that department
Quick question because I've only played 2 games and read zero books. Is it true that, canonically, none of the Battle Sisters have ever fallen to Chaos?
Miriael Sabathiel is a Sister that fell.
Which book? Or source otherwise.
Short story called the invitation
I've never read up on her. I just know about it because I was once curious about if it were possible sisters could fall too.
Always wondered: Do the loyalists know what happened to the Thousand Sons in terms of the Rubric of Ahriman that turned the legion into walking dust-filled armor? Or do they just see them go poof and go "More chaos sorcery/tricks?!"
They donāt know generally and they also donāt care
More chaos to kill
Theyāre clearly turned themselves into dust to live forever or somthing
They've seen enough weird shit to just file it under "bad stuff, don't bother"
Lol then it's funny to think the one who would most likely know among the loyalists would be Guilliman because of Yvraine's incident with Ahriman.
They havenāt talked since gathering storm
Damn. š
The flying Roomba Tzaangors have only furthered my hatred for em...but they got a funny ass finisher
Thereās also the Murdercurse from Arks of Omen, itās not common they do but it does happen. Itās implied theyāre just dealt with fast and the rarity of it means itās not a common thing to see.
Yeah, many times. During last release of Arks of Omen, an indomitus crusade fleet fell to the Khorne, including battle asisters. Except grey knights and custodes.
The Iconoclast was a Khorne warlord, who was once the Celestian Oleande of the Order of the Valorous Heart, before she fell to Heresy.[1]
There is this one, the book is noted at the bottom.
Id imagine they would see it as a form of chaos corruption
pretty sure that in the angron arks of omen there were sisters that fell.
the source for a lot of this stuff is gonna be codexes, white dwarf articles and campaign books. most of the lore is not in novels
