Movies that ended so bleakly simply didn't exist back then
It’s also pretty gorey and disturbing and that wasn’t as common
Movies that were, especially horror, were seen as stuff for teens or whatever. Edgy stuff which wasn’t real cinema a lot of times.
lmao
It still is a great showcase of how critics dont really get movies
even back then lol
true
i hated that ending
the ending of the Mist fucking ruined me as a kid
and everyone in the grocery store deserved to die
LMFAO
I mean a bit harsh but not wrong
i think my favorite part was even Steven King was like
"Okay wow thats so much better than my ending"

the bad thing is they fucking lived and where saved
yeah but thats life
not everyone really gets their comeuppance
fuckups are just a way of it
yeah true
im glad they killed that religious cunt before they left at least
Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment.
Bro movie critics be hating movies for doing what they want to do
but also yeah most of the store was scared villagers essentially
its how that bitch could rile them up with christian allegories lol
Jezebel witch
yeah and idc, if you allow yourself to become a cultist and try to kill a kid becuase some loudmouth bitch tells you too you are better off just fallin on your own knife
Yeah thats fair enough
its more clear social commentary than half the stuff in 40k books lol
Man, if someone lied to me, manipulated me, I would just know it was a lie and do my own thing EZ
tbf she wasnt lying in this case, just playing on their fears in the face of literal monsters
Nah she was definitely lying
She was yeah, she was just lucky about coincidental events
its literally how people back in teh day used religion to manipulate the masses
its the classic case of "oh wow monsters from another world/hell itself are attacking, lets turn on each other for idiotic idealogical reasons"
its exactly like real life
Like i said someone out there someone will kill someone over the fact that that person ate their string cheese
pretty much
"and everyone in the grocery store deserved to die"

most likely, but i would kill myself after the stupor ends, both out of shame and duty
Realistically, after the army swept through and presumably purged the infestation, I'm sure a lot of people did.
Trauma be like that
true
You probably would feel the same way if they wanted to throw your kid out to the dogs.
I know I would lol
im trying to keep a mature perspective but i dont really blame anyone for saying the prior
If they start saying that god told me you should jump off a cliff so that the invasion stops i might just become the most aggressive man alive
^
(THE REAL MONSTERS ARE HUMANS HUEHUEHUE)
I might feel that way if you put me in extrenuating circumstances where I'm stressed to the point of my own insanity.
But sitting here now, in a calm state, I feel like they don't deserve to die
they killed that army grunt and called him a Judus
and the person next to you is having a religious epiphany to live out their worst fantasy
and they where going to kill again
Yeah that was crazy
they where crazy
yeah, driven mad by fear
and realistically the loudmouth zealot bitch should have been the first person they threw to the mists
agreed
How does the Imperium manage its large armed force? Like do armies of each worlds act independently?
Most imperial planets with sufficient population have their own planetary defence force (PDF)
Multiple forgeworlds and industrial locations.
Every imperial guard regiment taken from a world into the Guard obeys that institution
if you're talking about command structure, like much else in the 40k universe; it depends
like lets say you got a regiment of Kurskan Grenadiers from the planet of Kurksa or some shit, you form that regiment, give it to the Imperial Tithe system and they find a use for it
It's not like every planet has a guard regiment like Cadia or whatever
Yeah only the semi well-developed ones do
normally on a front fairly far away from their homeworld iirc
that makes it a part of their tithe
yeah a regiment 99.9% time will never see their homeworld again
tfw the moebian 6th were part of the 0.1% who did
yup
Yeah Dukane acknowledges this
and outright says "this is stupid why did you never rotate them out of the Domain to other warzones"
Hey dils what's the strongest physical feat of an ogryn in 40k lore
but the Moebians got the excuse with the Fringe
and their space of.... well space, always being under threat
which is a really good reasoning narratively lol
Id say probably suplexing a chaos terminator and slamming their head to the floor to break their neck lol
isnt she leading a mobian regiment in a similar situation?
Was gunna say, isnt there an instance of an ogryn ripping a space marine in half?
Yep the Steelheads
Ogryns are about as strong as marines so anything is possible
they just lack the smarts
Yeah that is true, Notk dragging a transport is also up there but he's a special characters so he gets a pass, but considering he doesn't have any physical implants like that i would say he's a pretty good benchmark on what an ogryn can achieve
one ogryn bodyguard in a shortstory killed 3 black legion terminators by himself
Seems like an exception lol, like, you wouldn't say that's within the capabilities of Ogryn in general
literally just ripped them apart after missing all his shots with his ripper gun lol
its just another "it depedns" situation lol
Yeah nork also doesn't have like physical implants like i said
Yeah, that's... an exception for sure lol

he is a named character and we all know the rule with named characters in 40k
Yes but let's be honest named characters are either falling into two things
They don't have anything special going and they are just the race and exemplify the traits of the race the best possible way or they have something super different about them that it makes them god
"World Eaters can barefist reverse-chestburst armoured custodes, that's been shown and is canon
"
well he is also the only one that can count past 3 without a boneead implat iirc
Yeah but that's dumb, you can teach an ogryn
i know
They're like caveman
Unfortunately it is.
I mean yes it reminds me of you ( Jk )
Yeah but my point is, that isn't a benchmark for World Eaters general strengths and capabilities
my monumental stupidity is an objective fact
I mean it absolutely is
World Eaters have done absolutely insane shit
theres one that soloed a titan by climbing its innards lmao
that's... ugh whatever
Khornite behavior
World eaters, at a standard, can punch through custodes. It was done once by one world eater, so all of them can do it bare minimum
and as we all know, the rage junkies are among the strongest characters in anime
the Sayians too
Dilara I can't believe you have the gall to pepega emote me while maintaining that illogical assertion.
"exception:"
a person or thing that is excluded from a general statement or does not follow a rule:
☝️ 🤓
all of 40k lore is illogical
i dont know why you are taking this so seriously
World Eaters, generally speaking, cannot punch through an armoured custodian
Because I am a serious person
Yeah im aware.
and I dont care

Like 40k works on literal comic book logic, this is the last thing i give a shit about.
Taking warhammer lore seriously what are you from reddit?
Warhammer is a very serious setting.
I do care, and I am correct.
Good thing you don't care about being wrong lmao
Yeah because i dont have a stick up my ass
learn to take a joke when you also see one

I'm just troolling bro
You have the humor of a black templar you know that
Literally
dont tell em about the time a custodian got decapitated by a mining laser
Loses argument into ad hominem
Ahhh classic internet debate
your assertion conflicting with my own
procrastinating on studying lol
To be fair it's a mining laser designed to mine through like bedrock and stuff
cute
Are you alright
are you?
You do know that she is a mod right
You seem confused
Custodes can get caught off guard and die.
They just do it much much less
whats with the hostility
I think he's trying to find the way to get back at us because he lost the argument
you said you were confused so I asked if you were alright?
This is like one of those people
Why are you being such a cunt
what argument? I'm confused?
lmao
Oh yeah acting confused npc that's like found in skyrim
Watch out
Yep that's another one for that list
a
I think he just legit did not understand i was joking with the world eaters bit and is now being extremely bothered about it.
If you take 40k lore this seriously you should find some other things to occupy your time
I would have had an easier time believing it was a joke if not for the personal attacks 🤷♂️
I don't think it's my fault
guy is literally harassing a mod over a pepe emote
...
There is general power scaling, but it's a guideline, not a strict rule.
...and usually the only rule is the "rule of cool".
LOL
That's fine
so like, did the black templars really purge people on a world because they had heterochromia? and if so is that a chapter wide thing or just an isolated incident?
:)
Depends same for most things
like i get they hate mutants but that seems a little extreme even by the imperium's standards
BT are effectively multiple chapters
All Templars are varying degrees of psychopathic racists
yeah its why im asking if it was just a case of extremists if it did happen
they generally mostly all do the same gimmick
they are pretty standard for the most part minus a few quirks
^
We’ve seen some die defending Eldar when called for it, weve seen some kill Custodes cause they don’t think primaris are the emperors will
They got some unique qualities but like yeah at the end of the day they all kinda do the same thing.
Yes for the first.
And kinda? Depends on the Chapter.
Tbf there were a sect of Black Templars that murdered their new primaris reinforcements...
Along with their custodian guards
Yeah this
BT are still just one trope spread across varying uh
"parameters" is the word i guess lol
at the end of the day they are still knights templars in space
and all the baggage that comes with it

Basically, in my personal opinion, the Black Templars just spin a wheel deciding how Xenophobic and Racist they are today.
That is also correct
Tho their racism can reach some fucking hilariously goofy levels
like them murdering an entire primaris reinforcement contingent
because uhhhh
Chaplain was a bit off his meds

Yeah "better"
Some Black Templars are more chill.
...well relatively anyways.
Emphasis on "relatively"
Basically it's a 50/50 chance that if you hand 6 fingers on one hand, that meeting them will equal death
Delara, although we just shared an awkward exchange, I don't hold it against you. I know you deal with a lot of morons being a mod, so I get the reaction.
While I still don't think it was fair to me, I do understand how you might feel I was being moronic.
For my part I'd like to say sorry
To be fair to the imperium a small oopsie usually means an entire world getting accidentally bombarded with poison bombs because you know i don't know maybe there's demons there
But yeah the problem is most Templars largely act the same, otherwise you kinda risk them being non too compliant to the way fans tend to see them
i thought they where Teutonic knights in space and had all that baggage
If they're nice, they may just cut off the extra finger.
Eh same thing
The question was if they’d all react to said scenario the same, the answer is no we see different BT leaders and crusades acting differently or with more radicalness.
they hate foreigners
and wanna kill em

also defend holy places
and holy people
or holy artifacts
yada yada
Its their whole thing
At least their color scheme is really cool
Yeah no it is, its from an actual brotherhood so it helps
my first exposure to it was from Assassins Creed 1 so i cant comment
its literally the Teutonic knight colors and symbol lol
It’s not by accident they’re so popular
One of theirs
Shits cool
Yeah cool with people not getting the point
Lamenters and Salamanders have the uglier schemes.
...
So the meaner you are in 40k, the more drippier you are?
Oh wait Marines Malevolent exist nvm
theres a reason i gotta make clear im not a racist homophobe every time i make friends

god i just wanna play with people without all this shit man 💀
Yeah my first reaction every time i see your pfp is a flash bang of what an average black templar is
LOL
Yeah i get that a lot
it sucks but its my fandom's fault
i can live with it
I dont get bashed as long as I make clear im cool with what uh People "do"
Yeah what can you do when you like something but the fandom is known to be crazy
sometimes I wish I was a Fists fan instead
but then i realise id rather eat a 12 gauge

Krieger fans is like russian roulette
You either get somebody annoying or somebody racist
KEK
I also have a krieg friend thats like this
If you become a fist fan name yourself boring brother eli
"Man I really like siege/WW1 stuff this is so cool, what about you whats your krieg army like"
"Oh you know i painted the mlike the wehrmacht and to purge undesirable imperials"
"....The what now
"

Good thing i landed with the Ork fans because they are like the easiest to predict
thankfully most of their fandom has brainrot for shovels instead
Ork fans' only negative quality is they sometimes need to shut the fuck up and stop speaking in ork speak in everything, otherwise yeah they are very cool people.
its funny the first time but like

there is an entire lore channel that speaks with ork speak
I
I can't understand a single word
Yeah they have predictable jokes and the predictable acting but like at least
They aren't dicks most of the time
But I respect the commitment
Yeah the "ork speak" and "ork logic makes everythign work" is what i hate about their fandom
i like orks seperately for what they are lol
They wanna have fun
Bulgur you are like the only ork person I like
at their core

it also helps that their faction isnt deep
thye hate and wanna kill everyone
if only we could aspire to such mystic balance
I have it started speaking more orkish real life but like most of it is still swears and just reaction like zog me
Nah they love everyone
It's just they share their love with bullets.
And sharp/blunt implements.
Generally speaking I’ve found judging people by how they act is a lot better, people reveal themselves quickly regardless.
And most Krieg and Templar fans are surface level who just like the basic look.
If you aint green you're getting the mean
They have a lot more normies and that can be annoying especially with the “Burn heretic!” Memes and shit but it’s died down more in recent years
Krieg is definitely more annoying "I wanna bust your skull open" levels when they talk about memes, its unfortunate because thats what they made their ENTIRE faction to the point that you cant avoid .t
Templars i still stand that are largely just awful people, i got ousted from so many groups with them for just not agreeing with their empty chatter
like i just wanna sit and paint my minis
i dont wanna hear how you hate "queers" for the 10th time or how warhammer is going "woke"
💀
Yeah what surprising is like the armageddon steel region is somehow spared from all of that even though they are literally just the blitzkrieg of the german army while craig is the infantry shock assault specialist of the german army
Armageddon is less fascist looking
Yeah that definitely help them
people are attached to grey trenchcoats + faceless mooks look
They’re literally based off Nazis
its why most people dont really uh
get "weird" about them
the desert tanned coats also help lol
It’s just Krieg is more popular
its a less "Hostile = Cool" looking color
It isn't in their fantasies
Besides they don't have cool coats
They kinda d
Its surface level
But either way yeah unfortunately the most popular groups in said factions tend to be absolutely festering with annoying vocal majorities.
I take no part in templar stuff and just stick to my own corner with my own friends that play other armies.
its probably the most "peaceful" existence
Same here for orks though they are easy to approach i prefer to stick to my own
Like I said generally obnoxious people make themselves known fast
The most recent annoying group that’s cropped up is people obsessed with picking and playing the “nice” faction
No, Tau, LoV, Sallies, Lamenters, fucking whoever aren’t nice
They all suck
You’re missing the point
Jfc
They’re all evil
Honestly at this point if i just want them to shut up i just go with the farsight enclaves and f*** off
People generally like to gravitate towards good.
you mean mustard yellow lol
They're like tau but better to live in
Problem is that good doesn't really exist
Stop being so boring with engaging with the setting reee
They’re still not though really
The Farsight Enclaves are interesting
i like the steel legion and imperial fists, i hate their color schemes
They’re the same as the Tau Empire just no Ethereals, they’re more xenophobic too
Yes i know but like they're the best answer we have what do we do
Yes that but that answer doesn't give the dopamine fun chemicals doesn't it
Give them the boring answer and they'll f*** off
No because I’m not gonna capitulate to someone whose misinformed or a moron
Tell them that the most morally upright faction is the Dark Eldar
Whatever you say man i just do what i do
Depends on how much time I have too tbh
But if someone’s wrong they’re wrong
They can have their fanfic if they want but it doesn’t make it correct
I have had people unironically argue that Chaos is the nicest faction but that was a mix of not knowing anything and being an edgelord
are you fucking serious rn
they literally have like spikes upon spikes
Contrarianism leads people down dark paths
"bro guys the daemons that wear human spines as a belt are good!"
In short, just say that
The Imperium killed any good that remained
Until hell is the only choice you have.
It's just that they can't effect anything
There's literally also an inquisitor school of thought that focuses on trying to rebuild the imperium but you know how that will go
And even then, by our standards, most of them are still shitty
im assuming they're taking him to either become a dreadnought
or for their geneseed
either way that mf ain't gonna be the same
Losing legs doesn’t a dreadnought make
those things give of the same performance as their old legs?
Because no matter how much i look at it looks too frail
In lore, the Iron Hands do have a point in that steel makes them better
Also I think that's mainly due to the uh
Servos and shit being exposed
legs break down due to having water exposure
Generally they’re covered but the same or better
I was about to say that s*** looks like it would only take a single slugga boy getting a choppa hit in and that thing will stop working
They're made very well
Yeah and they're getting covered which is good
There's a bit in a short where one of these guys grabs an Iron Hand in Deathwatch and tries to break his spine by his head, and he's not able to actually break his reinforced spine.
He tries to twist and it doesn't work.
Basically the Iron Hands do actually have a point.
But it also sorta breaks apart their soul
But who needs that
There's a reason the average Iron Father age seems to be about 800-900.
You'd think it would be shorter given the fact that one of their Terminator Armor models gives off cancer
To be fair how long does a space marine theorized to be able to live anyway
That does not sound impressive compared to someone like dante or something
But hey, a little radiation never did anybody too much harm
Dante is probably one of the most impressive loyalist marines to ever live.
If not the.
Most marine's don't get anywhere close to 1000
They can live for longer we know.
But they don't survive that long.
I think there was a scene in the Horus Heresy book series where the Hrud(?) basically shot SMs with guns that aged them forward
Still was able to fight.
But around 1.5k years is generally where they start
Feeling it
I'm just imagining a Chaos Daemon trying to offer a Space Marine immortality and they're just like
"I already have that."
BLAM
Actual footage of me carrying the team in literally any game
yeah but they make a funny noise when they run
I remember when he saved all those orphans from starving
By making them eat each other alive
you know
im a fair and impartial man
but being so heinous you commit a crime that can literally never be commited again is a instant death penalty
To be truly impartial you have to give everyone the death penalty
its only fair though
no
borgar.. for lorgar
I almost tagged you to that image because I knew you'd enjoy it
goofiest augment legs i've seen in a while
Iron Father Verrox, gigachad of the gigachads
I'll try and find a pic of the custom iron hands char that siege studios did recently, it's absolutely mega
nvm I thought he had a bionic leg
We had the absolute pleasure of bringing to life this awesome one off bespoke Custom Service Iron Hands character for our clients collection.
This was a great opportunity to combine various kits and also add a lot of traditional hand sculpted details across the miniatures surface, including a bionic leg and all the chapter heraldry.

A work in progress Custom Service Iron Hands Primaris Captain we are working on at the moment. This was a great opportunity to meld flesh and steel together to create a unique centrepiece character!
Iron Hands are a super interesting chapter especially for conversion and sculpting having all the cybernetics and chapter detailing.

Very sick
My first impression was some kind of necron space marine and I'm a little disappointed that isn't the case.
Drown in your poor taste
i hope we get Mechanicus 2 sometime next year
ive seen some cool deathwatch conversions that include necron and tau bits
theres a ton of scope to do cool shit with them
as in a tyranic war vet situation? where they cover their armor in tau/necron trophies
weapons too
nice
There’s a lot of cool stuff people do
I’m not a good enough artist or modeler
Iron Hands has some very cool conversion potential if you can spend the time though
Seems like we will based off when it was announced
yeah thats what im thinking
I’m waiting for the next RT dlc to drop
the fact we will be in charge of a whole planetary invasion/defense in 2 will be neat
which brings me to a question, do necrons have a dedicated titan equivalent?
They got that one forgeworld model
The thing that asirnoth was
But mostly they just
Blast everyone else’s
Don’t need titan units when you can one shot everyone else’s
Big boy Wyrms
massive unrelated walkers artists do for big war artworks
their titan units are largely "whatever the fuck just draw big pyramid/scarab"
lmao
yeah the worm centipede things too, theres one smaller one and one big one
The big one I can’t recall if it’s named in the Infinite and the Divine
But it’s probably what Ferrus fought
They mentioned they’d drop them on worlds to clear them as kinda fire and forget weapons
tomb stalker and tomb sentinel
Yeah and Asirnoth was probably the bigger one of those
they might actually both be the same size but one is shooty and one is melee
its possible that im making shit up....
Its inconsistent, dont worry about it
like i said above necron titan units are literally "whatever shit we can make up or those 2 forgeworld models"
So In my campaign, I have a puzzle where if the party rotates the hand of a statue of a harlequin, a secret passage opens up, is this a good enough description to hint that something is wrong in its current state without needing to explain too much? (My players are new to 40K)
“You recognize this as a statue of an Aeldari Harlequin, one of the strange sub factions of the Xenos species. The figure’s hand gesture stands out to you, with the gesture pointing downwards representing praise of She Who Thirsts, said in Aeldari lore to be the species’ ancient foe.”
Are they going into like some eldar temple underneath the city?
also representing praise to Slaanesh?
tbf there must've been
some pleasure cultists who knew what they were doing
kinda like satanists
but eldar
Yeah the party is supposed to turn its hand so the gesture faces upwards, which then represents opposing slaneesh
Which then opens the passage
No it’s a gallery of eldar artifacts in the cold traders hideout, the secret passageway leads to his secret stash of the really good stuff
I’m trying to gently nudge the party that it’s hand position is not right
I made it a harlequin since they especially hate slaneesh and it would be very odd to see anything but a solitaire making gestures of praise
How the fuck long is this one shot
Potentially like 3 sessions depending on how distractible my party is lol
A lot of the stuff I’ve been asking for feedback on here are optional scenes, since I don’t want it to be entirely railroad-y
I’m trying to account for as many ways the party might decide to go in, I’m sure they’ll find some way that I didn’t think about and have all this prep be wasted lol
I’m like 90% done with writing for it, this is just a opportunity to get extra loot at the end
In case the party decides they want to keep using these characters
Anyways, how can I get my point across better with my description of the statue
So basically it's equivalent to like
Jesus holding the cross upside down
You have to turn it upright

They might just shoot anything
Yeah
Then I let them be killed by gangers
The point is, if they’re being ridiculously murder hobo-y, I’ll just not try very hard to not kill them
Except instead of a cross it’s the eldar equivalent of a middle finger
Yeah this one shot might go kinda long, especially since I think I’ve underestimated how long combat can go for
Bro if you didn't mention it was a one shot, I would've thought it was a campaign bruh
But really there’s 3 main scenes, Inspecting the crime scene/finding and fighting the gangers, being ambushed at the drop site, and going to the cold traders nightclub/hideout and fighting him
It’s a one shot ideally if we focus on the objective, but I know the people I’m playing with cause I’ve played RPGs with them before and it will not be that straightforward lol
At most it will be 3 sessions, it’s going to be relatively short
i cast "turn that frown upside down" on the slaanesh statue
The Astra Militarum Regimental Convention is in full swing! All the stars are here! Tallarn Tariq, Breacher Bertha, Praetorian Pete, and of course Cadian Carl. But ol' Carl hasn't really been the same ever since his planet frickin exploded, and isn't in the mood for socialising. Let's see how he gets on!
Thank you to Carole for voicing Breacher...
Is the tallarn like
Being a racist stereotype or is that built off of something lmao
Tallarn Desert Raiders are inspired off of Lawrence of Arabia
I was uder the impression it was based off desert storm
void breachers are there despite not being astra militarum
shit channel
also that 1800's british regiment that barely exists
they are older afaik
Nope
its likely a mix of both
it is not
They're based off of Lawrence of Arabia and the Arab revolt
i disagree
You can disagree but we're both right
It's a combination of Lawrence of Arabia and the Desert Rats, plus a bit of Dune in there as well
those regiments are pretty much based off historical wargaming miniatures and then they make stuff up to fit it into 40k
then you do some headswaps and arm swaps etc and you have 40k models
so i dont know if there are many lawrence of arabia historical miniatures, and i can deffo imagine them using ww2 british SAS miniatures for it
brits love fawning over WW2 SAS stuff
like ww2 sas minis would 100% have deffo been a thing for these guys
For Tallarn their main thing is armoured warfare and horses, the horses are the Lawrence of Arabia bit and the armoured warfare is the WW2 stuff
nice, i can see that for sure
driving through the wadi in their land rovers~
You wouldn't understand, you aren't a river to your people
look for whatever the perry twins sculpted for historicals and its probably literally that
what
Exactly
cause they sculpted historicals and also worked at games workshop
penis
Like I think you just don't understand how much British historical nerds obsess over Lawrence of Arabia because it's really up there, it and Zulu
WW2 british history nerds will explain to you 5 different stories about the desert rats since that's one of the only times brits did anything relevant
I'd like to start a petition to put down all white women
Honestly Desert Rats aren't even in the top 5 of British historical nerd special interests
they are
They're not
for WW2 nerds
Even for WW2 nerds
I saw a lot of Tommy, then 80s SAS, then Royal Marines Commando, then whatever else.
WW2 British is all about ships and aircraft.
And the 17pdrs
Yea for WW2 the big two special interests are Battle of Britain and Churchill
North Africa Campaign is maybe 6th
you hang around americans if you think brits dont shut the fuck up about rommel
Bletchley Park is probably more common
Eh, my British WT server rarely talk about Rommel.
Na being obsessed with Rommel is mostly an American thing
that's WT it's casuals
it is
Most people I know who are obsessed with Rommel and North Africa campaign are Americans tbh
tabletop mini players are a different breed of historical annoyances
almost as much as hoi4 players
worth bearing in mind this was the 80s
you also have the hoi4 modded and unmodded split
when the tallarn were made
or perhaps early 90s actuallu
so like current war thunder discord isnt super relevant
(war thunder?)
Yes, mostly historical nerds.
Half of us joined the military or doing works with museum nowadays.
But yea the thing about GW back then is it drew massively from Pop Culture rather than just "History"
It's why the Catachan are thought of as Vietnam but are actually like Rambo and Predator rather than how Vietnam actually was
Praetorians draw from Zulu (movie)
Tallarn from Lawrence of Arabia (movie)
cringe Wehrmacht apologist vs chad old world blues mister house suppremacist
HOI4 has more splits than the Ballet
Unmodded vs modded, mod vs other mods, mod vs other version of the same mod
I play stellaris so I don’t have any messy irl baggage/hj
bio trophies
also i've seen some people mod certain ethnic groups into stellaris
💀
and so many of the major HOI IV mods have atleast 2 rival versions, the original and the redux version (||And the reason for the split is almost always transphobia in the dev team||)
guess which one is the criminal syndicate megacorporation
Average HOI4 dev team
paradox fandom.exe
i can but i might get a timeout lol
Any HOI4 mod dev team is 50% trans and 50% transphobic
i refuse to be involved with the paradox community
how do they not just kill each other/tank the project with infighting?
They regularly do
and then split into rival teams that keep developing their own version of the mod
WW2 was a mistake
My favorite way to play stellaris is as rogue servitors
Because I think it’s hilarious
correction it was the end result of the mistake called the "treaty" of Versailles
likely one of the most disastrous short sighted and idiotic documents written in human history
when even the dumbasses over in Washington D.C. know its a bad idea that says a lot
You see something like the treaty of Versailles is great when you want an excuse to attack someone

This goes both ways
defeated enemies never develop revanchist policies never happens
come and gone like the desert winds
We can start again

I mean they are also respnsible for the treaty being a mess
Nah we turning that smile upside down, you are NOT supposed to smile at slaneesh
Nah im not touching it
Cowardice
as opposed to touching on hoi4 fandom
Let’s talk about stellaris
The other thing that lets you commit space genocide

"lets" implies that isnt the focus in most runs
I just make bio trophies
Smh
Genocide is only necessary because they’re too strong for my CPU
Which paradox is solving
No longer will you need to commit mass murder to save your computer from exploding
(They’re finally reworking pops)
LMFAO THANKS
Yeah Tallarn suffer a lot from like
arabic regiment
all white dudes

It's accurate to the movie
I like how literally all of this is true
how old is the regiment anyway?
100&
very old
^
They didn’t get minis till 4e
And then those minis got discontinued except for the uh
The named dude
the white men cometh.........
there is the problem then
The glory of old warhammer sculpts
the forgeworld tallarn were neat
People trying to convince me old face sculpts were good
impossible for GW to have made a big regiment out of say, the indian gurkhas who sacrificed their lives so brits could be free
Good ole Alec Guinness as Prince Feisal
They were
Much better then the original pewter? Ones
The best old pewter minis GW made were the vostroyan ones
that would require the brits to acknowledge the role of their colonials, something they would rather drink mercury than do for the longest damn time
LMFAO
What movie is this lmao
GI Joe: Retaliation lmfao
they use kinetic rods to bomb london as a show of force
so Cobra can become the president of the world
love it
based
Movie about WW1 will say "Britain has called upon all the forces of it's Empire to fight in the Trenches" and then show you 50 white guys
very based
LMFAO
Australia, Canada and the British isles

and no one else
There is a regiment in Canada called the British Columbia Regiment (BCR).
However, nowadays it is nicknamed "Barely Canadian Regiment"...
London blows up in a lot of movies
It’s basically a trope of late 2000s early 2010s movies
For whatever reason
we shall win with the one sheep herder from the falklands
I need the achievement for invading earth during world war 2 in stellaris
Well Irish as well if they're feeling generous
you need to be lucky
That’s part of the British isles isn’t it?
Because england sucks
shame its not the White House
Or am I ass at geography
but we cant all win
I mean
A Brit would tell you yes
It geographically is no?
Okay so it’s that
An irish person would shoot you
I remember seeing a convo in another server once
where like
one scottish dude went
"We are basically english"
and another scottish dude went
"are you fucking stupid"

scots arent treated well by the brits either
💀
they also had a big famine along the irish and brits didnt give a shit
Nah, they are all hooligans.
That doesn’t change the fact they do get along when oppressing the Irish historically lol
It’s a stupid ass joke
Yea but it's a totem pole where you punch down
Id say England as awhole deserves worse, but uh
looking at the UK now
i think they are getting it
and Scots are one wrung above
lmao
oh?
idk man red hair is hot
I was going to say it's like the English Class system, but it's slightly more complicated
Isnt part of the reason theres a ton of random ruin looking structures in ireland because the british worked them to death making pointless buildings?
Idk
wait what LMAO
I might be 100% wrong
Honestly that might not be true but the worst part is it easily can be
they didn't believe in charity
Yep
I’m only good at North American/Central American/East Asian lol
I DO remember watching a documentary and like it did say the english just made them build castles and otehr shit they barely used half the time iirc
Im not good at any
it was considered a moral failure to give food or money directly. it's one of those 1800's things
Maybe its that but they just like never finished 80% of them
They were put into "Workhouses" to earn their food and forced to do manual labour while starving for scraps because the Brits didn't want to just give them food
The classic
and throw their body into the ocean
I volunteer as tribute havoc is kicking my ass
poor english people were put into the workhouse too
just put me down

Suffering builds character
The irish are a tough old bunch
Also always remember that Ireland at the time was still producing enough food to feed itself, it was just being grown on land owned by English landowners who were shipping it abroad because it sold for a better price
i wish we had the IRA in canada
But I like to think thats in spite of their oppression not because of it
what a shame
Why
killing colonizers
you are morally allowed to kill british colonizers it says so in the good book
people being exploited for profit, thank goodness that totally went away 💀 💀 💀

at least we're getting the public executions back slowly
At the very least thats fun

I mean I'd prefer it to private executions
im talking about the CEO killing lol
Oh
sorry I live in the US where public executions could be very well real legally speaking soon in certain states

sorry I was reminded of this when you said appropriation
yall remember when this happened?
rainbows just stopped existing except for the LGBTQ+ community
no because i dont use twitter and my life therefore is better than it could be
good times
I also dont, I just steal things from it sometimes
twitter embodies the idea of the peanut gallery
i wish i could throw actual peanuts at most of the people there
its a place you go to laugh at the idiots voicing their worthless opinions and believing they are the ones laughing at the viewers
STOLE RAINBOW FROM GOD?
😭
NAAAAAHHHH
This is some darktide tier zealot shit
Yeah it was a straight up mythological level event, I cant believe you dont remember
(I'm being sarcastic)
how dare they see using the emperor's light
sadly many people irl make the zealot look sane and moderate
FR FR
Heretics using their rods and cones to create vision (Stealing the God Emperor's light)
I also like "Give it back." Like God just straight up didnt have it anymore
and like the LGBTQ+ community can collectively "return" the concept of a natural phenomenon
Wasn't the rainbow a promise to like
"Oops, sorry! I won't do the flood again teehee!"
No clue, I dont know shit about abrahamic religions, I stay away from that
I remember a fanfic of all things of a different game I won't specify
But essentially it had a gag where there were gay angels
and they were organizing a pride month
The problem is that due to a fuck up by management
They scheduled pride month on the day of the flood lmao
Oh god what a coincidence, I'm watching Victoria and I just got to an episode about An Gorta Mór
who?
The Great Hunger
so a famine?
A fun fact that I love is that after Optimus crashes into the quintessons (his second in g1) there was so much fan backlash (again) that they brought him back in the next episode. Then in the Japanese g1 sequel series Headmasters they kill him again like 10 episodes in. That means that in the Japanese G1 timeline Optimus dies four whole times: Once as Orion Pax, then in the 1986 movie, then by kamikazeing into the quintessons, and finally in the Japanese continuation he sacrifices himself trying to stabilize vector sigma.
I swear the guy is fated to die at least once in every new contiunity/movie
Apparently in the 1986 movie, kids were fucking traumatized at seeing him just die.
To the point where apparently one kid fucking locked himself in his room for two weeks
Due to Optimus's death
Transformers: Traumatizing children since 1984
Whats the average day like for the average eldar
American Dad intro song
Actually pretty nice
Eldar are able to choose different paths, essentially careers.
Artistry, Battle, etc.
They're expected to switch after a while though
So even the average Eldar civilian is extremely skilled compared to an average human
Most Craftworlds also operate under a post-scarcity society
The problem is how their biology and psychology works
Part of the reason why Eldar created and fell into Slaanesh is because they are focused
Like extremely focused
To the point where even the most mundane path can be potentially dangerous due to how much they fucking GRIND
Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism
The most boring ass fast food worker path?
They will be the best burger flipper. Every flip must be perfect.
Every burger must look like it's from a god damn commercial
And they will work themselves to the bone until they fall and get their souls consumed
But besides that cavaet, being an eldar is actually pleasant
Y'know ignoring the gigantic Excess in the room...
Its not focus its boredom.
As with IRL history the most decadent societies always tended to be the ones that had nothing to do.
Its why you got rich billionaire fucks always being exposed doing the sickest shit to people in private like killing people for fun and shit
Or well, you know
They’re also targeted by Slannesh and have more bright souls on average
Partially because of that also.
Slaanesh is the god of excess. And part of that is perfectionism.
The perfect painting, the perfect score, blah blah blah.
Some Eldar focus so much on a path that they find themselves unable to leave. Continuing to tread until death.
Like hyperfixations but on steroids
The only way to be able to use the spirit stones is to be very focused and keep their desires in check and follow the paths
Variation is key to prevent excess.
And also just to keep you happy in general
People also think they can never have fun/sex due to Slaanesh which is also like not true lol
Their societies are pretty good but also just very post-scarcity, so they arent even really communist either.
Also most Eldar are above that sort of thing.
Theres a reason chaos eldar are almost entirely unheard of in most 40k written media considering they are always tutored by it against it in their society.
Although tbf, what would be considered extreme to us
Would be considered vanilla to Eldar.
I want to see a beefy eldar
no
Nah they are pretty much largely the same. Its probably more Kama Sutra-esque and thats probably it. You need to remember with their heightened emotions they can largely find anything fun so to speak.
Muscle elf
They are already pretty buff
MORE
Basically humans start to go insane after 2 days or so of sensory deprivation
Eldar have a shorter time I think.
Even shorter if they're Deldar.
I think I read an excerpt where a Deldar only lasted like
PATH OF THE SWOLE
3 hours in a sensory deprivation chamber before breaking
Thats just for Dark Eldar
a craftworld eldar can sit in the same room way longer
they dont need sensations or stuff like that
we do in comparison
True with meditation and techniques. Same with humans.
I just think that the average Eldar being shoved in there would last shorter lmao
Like biologically
Xenology has one captured Exodite thats been sitting a cell for months and the techpriest says hes barely ever moved from his meditation spot etc
Eldar are very much superior to humans biologically
True.
like this is in the lore so lol
Tbf Eldar Muscles are more dense I believe
They are tight/taut like bowstrings.
and very stretched
they got no body fat for example like we do
Yeah so basically it's a master roshi type of situation. Except without the buff form.
Just extremely condensed
Pretty much.
I have no idea how tf that works tho
but 40k so
They are aliens.
Dont think so hard about it
like wouldn't they die in a shorter time without food?
I mean again, aliens
Do eldar have faster metabolism?
you forget these things were literally engineered by the Old Ones
Oh yeah
space magic

Imagine an extremely petty eldar critisizing a humans ass wiping technique
Eldar do be shiddin

Still would be interesting if Eldar had faster metabolism than humans
Like they eat as much as a SM.
Imagine an Eldar going to your local fast food restaurant and reciting the big smoke order
"I'll have two number 9s..."
I had a friend like that
guy is almost a literal skeleton
and never gets fat eating the biggest fast food stuff
I used to be like that
lucky bastard
Then just stop doing that

I will once I figure out the esoteric skills to achieve that
Yes, Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism
smh
Tight, huh?
no
go back to your gay ranch Chapter
I remember ready something like
Eldar are literally the posterboy for FALGSC
dense muscles dont allow for prolongued action but are really good for rapid bursts
its why humans are good marathon runners
Your homophobic bourgeoise attitude is not accepted here fascist.
"Okay so space marines have no gaps on their ribcages, thus making it a bulletproof case"
like... do they even know why the ribcage has those gaps
😭
lol so its just solid bone?
Yeah its great
Its shelled
tho another case of "nobody remembers this when writing it"
shotout to my homies with acid spit
fair but it's also explained as being layered to cover the holes
Yeah and in some its said to be solid bone
depends on the era when it was written and who is writing
clearly a Chapter mutation

but like its not even the most goofy space marine mutation so its not a big deal
Theres been doctors who have talked about how, assuming you can actually do all this with goofy sci fi genetic splicing and shit, its not terrible thought out.
