and like the guys at games worshop, the writers and sculptors and painters etc were making their own models and some of those probably made it in to the lore

i think there were few official models and lots of them were conversions and custom sculpted etc

anyway im yapping

i guess my point is most of the lore is just made up on a game-by-game basis

so for daemonhosts, theyre used as a character in what's essentially a tabletop roleplaying game, so its not so much about drawing from a huge pool of background, it's more about making up your own stories and having it be a part of a narrative experience you're having with friends
