But am i wrong in thinking that like 2 shots from a standard lazgun would kill an unhelmeted space marine? With a helmet, surely it would be like 4-5 on max output before you cook the marine inside? Or something like a boltgun. Like one bolt to the head would pop a space marine, no? I guess the issue comes with the marine knowing youre there trying to kill him. But in ambush situations. At least in my head cannon, marines really arnt that hard to kill.

Space Marines are not unkillable and are pretty much as easily mortal to any hazards an average human could face. They got some resistance to a few things but they can die from simple/dumb mistakes like any normal person, you could have trained your entire life and just die in a thunderhawk crash after some guy on a flak cannon shoots it down, youtube 40k content creators are just extremely biased towards marines half the time because it gets more clicks from braindead 40k youtube audiences.
