in honour of halloween ill read the scariest warhammer lore
its scary this chapter isnt a homebrew chapter

i woudl have posted space wolves but they dont have a codex yet
i also hate blood angels but thats a different topic
Moths aren't spooky though
they are when you put them in an atm
Mothman is though
Just turn on a lamp
Imagine Jason Vorhess in Warhammer
Mothman will get you
Or Michael Myers
im also annoyed that the only non codex compliant chapter with a model isnt treated as non codex complaint
white scars
Actually imagine Michael Myers with a Bolter
And Power Armor
To be honest I'm surprised there isn't lore for like
A CSM Slasher villain
Like a CSM would be perfect for a classic slasher story
that woud suck ass imma be real
Oh no, the unstoppable killing guy is even more unstoppable and deadly
True.
But tbf a lot of slasher films suck so it balances out
space marine tech is so stupid strong that it would be running awa yfor 200 pages
Lucius the Eternal is basically that
Not even that
Just like a short story where the CSM takes the place of a Slasher
then the csm would get shot by a laz canon or quick sand
There was a story I read where a guy was being hunted by an Emperor's children CSM
And, Night Lords exist. So.
Yeah I was thinking of it being a Feudal World to "balance" it out.
Essentially the CSM has zero ammo so he has to just brutalize his enemies instead
Dude goes around killing people with a sword and even if you kill him, you become him and he keeps killing people with his sword, it's basically a slasher plot
his book is also jsut about him trying to kill some fuck ass wizard lmao
his 40k book
A night lord on a feudal world would be absolutely terrible for that world
I remember a gag in
...TTS thunder crack
Where Lucius gets stabbed by a guardsman who then stabs another
And then it just goes for a while until Lucius replaces the final guardsman
Lmao
Always found that joke to be the funniest
Yeah a Story where a bunch of people have to somehow fend off a single Night Lord.
Basically trying everything they can
a deep dirt hole would win lmao
Yeah I was thinking of like
The ending plan being like
Trapping him in a hallway
And basically stabbing exposed parts over and over
Of course he'd break free because if it was 2 pages of him being stabbed then it wouldn't be fun
But they would dislodge enough armor pieces that he would eventually be chipped down
And die
Eventually
Actually thinking about it
What movies would translate perfectly into 40k
Obviously, the obligatory Event Horizon mention
Predator except it's catachans and a lictor
But to be honest. I think Hellraiser would also be perfect
The Cenobites are basically Slaaneshi
Let's be fair here
Ffs I think the teeth chattering guy inspired Nemesis for RE3
Which then inspired the Noise Marines
And we come full circle
Hm
I am thinking
Wall-E 40k edition

Ends with Wall-E exploding due to being an abominable Intelligence
Wall-E the friendly necron
It fits
I forgor their names
Space Jam but it's Caiphus Cain helping popular propaganda characters defeat the evil Tau expansionists.
In a basketball game

Abaddon the despoiler in basketball shorts
tehres a reason gw doesnt hire fans just saying
imagine if they let anyone on r/dankhammer write any kind of warhammer lore
fuckin cawl would clone yarrik and cain to fight orks for the 500th time
or something even tupider
Thats why editors also largely exist to stop dumbass ideas like that most of the time.
What about Samus
Like I said "most of the time"
Abnett has an insane directorial pull

I am the end and the death
It is the end and the death
I need someone to edit the I am a surgeon thing
But with samus saying I am the end and the death
Largely:
samus is my favorite nintendo character
I bet half of the HH did not have editors
Some did some didnt đ
Also based
At least the guy that draws the covers for the HH got a payday
Also he does a really good job in general
Now if only it wasn't attached to a book series so relentlessly long that nobody except the most diehard will read all of it
Or even read any of it
Also John Grammaticus
John Grammernazi
Also why does Fantasy have much more variation than 40k
It isn't fair
I looked through it
Because AOS is a good setting
Sure there are factions that still get snubbed
Beastmen moment
But why doesn't 40k have more lore details for shit like
The Tau
Rumors say they are coming back next edition
When they come back they are gonna probably look very different
Than whatâs now old worldâs beastmen
Supposedly they got snubbed because GW wanted to give old world a new faction
And didnât want double dipping
Which is probably why demons are getting the boot in 40k
That wouldnt be too far from the truth.
Its why the Cities of Sigmar are also not landsknechts anymore largely
(For the better)
Again I feel like 40k has plenty of opportunity to go in depth
and Gw just chooses
not to
We need like, 2 more eldar factions, which they did before they then scrapped them lol
The ynnari were a good idea
how did they fuck it up so badly
I just want them to stop being violated most of the time
Like I legitmately didn't know that Phoenix Lords were supposed to be stronger than Custodes
Until I actually did research on them
I'm not even a fan of the Eldar
I think beastmen will probably swing hard into a specific vibe, itâs either gonna be mutant core or goat cities of sigmar if I had to guess
Or itâs gonna be AOS nids
What?
Thereâs a lot of lore details for tau in codexes, and rule supplement books, having mid books does not mean a faction lacks lore
(rumoured)
It's possibly over daemon bros
they are getting melted into the cult marine codexes
Yes because memes and the lore people talk about are almost always the same repeated crap, and usually that doesnât involve craftworld eldar because there arenât a ton of jokes beyond the super low hanging fruit ones because warhammer fans are unoriginal as shit with memes 99% of the time
Well better then being deleted
forced to read Krieg memes for the rest of time
Not going to lie if someone doesnât do research on a faction before saying they lack lore
Or donât have any lore
It kind of annoyâs the shit out of me

Like no shit
You donât know about any of it
Shovel shovel shovel shovel shovel shovel
its older, and the lore is far better documented then 40k on wikis
like
way way way better
its kind of absurd
how shit 40k's wikis are in general
aside from tabletop related stuff
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT U--
looking into a comment section on anything that is slightly out of the norm and it's just so

Me like shovel
Happy gas mask noises
The planet broke before the guard
Uh what else is there
HappyImgonnashoveashoveldownyourthroatnoises
The only man who managed to make that actually funny is Russian badger and even then that clip is spammed so many times
if you're talking about variety of factions WHFB's actual tabletop factions were like, decently diverse.
Empire, Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Bretonnia(prehistoric codex that was near unplayable), Dwarfs, Chaos Dwarfs(forge world), warriors of chaos + norscans(same fucking book for 99% of their existence), Lizardmen, Skaven, Beastmen
That I am now numb to it
Kislev, and Cathay did not really exist
Honestly you are gonna choke me out for this. But tbf I just started doing some wiki reading and reading in general for Fantasy
Which faction is the Druchi called?
Dark elves
I think I like the dwarves simply because
"Oh no, you made a major mistake. What do you do?"
KILL YOURSELF. JOIN THE SLAYERS NOW.

I like the dwarfs because you could be on your best behavior around them and somehow they'll find something about you that they dont like
Tbf 40k does have many instances of similar situations happening. But I find the Slayers in particular funny for some reason
Or some slight because you weren't aware of how you should do X
Yeah I think in lore
Some random human city accidentally shortchanged them
And then the dwarves immediately tried to fucking bomb them
And only took that one piece of gold
Also dwarf diet is weird
Imagine turning down a meal from them because their diet consists of eating gravel bread and some earwax shit
In a weird way I actually like these types of differences
Because it shows that
They aren't just funny looking humans like a lot of fantasy
They are genuinely a different race
With their own societal expectations, morals, etc
Yeah dwarfs and elves got that weird "Inhuman-ness"
Also why I like the Tau and the little details like their music sounding like complete ass due to their hearing spectrum being different
Like to human ears, it just sounds like the RE1 Director Cut Mansion Basement
Reuploaded because uploader got terminated.
Like this is basically Tau Music
Also the Elves look weird.
But that's to be expected because they're a different race and all that.
Of course most artists just draw them more human like anyways
Especially the Eldar

Yeah its hard not to draw them human tbf
At least the dwarves still look like they could be plausibly human
tbf
most 40k art
Grow a bread
And hide out amongst them
even though in lore they like
do not look that alike
also the whole inconsistancy on the black eye thing
some art has it some doesn't
Yeah especially since Eldar like Wyches are supposed to look attractive
And it's hard to make an gray alien face looking mf attractive
I mean
they're supposed to have like
somewhat human features
but something is off
Yeah just that uncanny vibe. But the problem is that trying to capture the uncanny valley is
Hard to do so intentionally
but most Elves/Aelves/Eldar just look pretty human
its hard
like it needs to not look too weird
Recognizable but not too familiar
Structurally beautiful but aesthetically weird
Etc
But you got a deadline so
Fuck it just make them tall hot people
And tbf the primal parts of my brain like it that way
I don't
Kerellian just looks human imo
Have an explanation for it
aside from the eyes
I always thought the completely black eyes are like
How we have different eye colors
It's just extreme for the elves in particular
Oof
Eldrad has black eyes in like most of his depictions
but a few have human eyes
Yvraine has human eyes in most of her depictions
but like 2 have the black eyes
Maybe it's like a sort of eye sheathe/guard to prevent from strong light?
Actually that sounds like a cool idea
I also forgot how exactly that phenomenon is called
I know it exists in some animals
Give me a sec
maybe?
I just choose to imagine all Eldar have the whole
black eye thing going on
because I like how it looks
Brilles
It's like an eye membrane before the actual eye I think
maybe
I just like them because they add more weirdness
and I think they look cool
True
Maybe to explain away the inconsistencies
The Eldar have an Eye Cap in their biology
Able to be removed by will
Used to protect from strong light
Or to keep themselves alert in battle
For even a blink would put them at a disasvantage
There

Honestly it's cool to imagine like
A farseer with normal human eyes
And then they hear/predict danger
And their eyes immediately get clouded until they're pure black
oh also I guess macha has human eyes
but she literally is designed to be hot
so like
lol
actually dawn of war eldar in general
have human eyes
I just thought of a stupid parody, Necron Jewelersâ˘ď¸ âcontains NO mindshackle scarabsâ
Alright lads, what are we angry about today?
Yeah but thatâs not very Halloween
AOS warning: Very tempted to put intestines of a whale god as a cave system under my city of sigmar who lives in the skeleton of a whale god
imagine all the stuff a whale god the size of new york has swolled
honestly this feels straight out of an underworlds book
thank you for the zoomer translation
ill do it, i needed a location for my aos campaign
Jokes aside do it
there is a hole in my city of sigmar to ditch corpses that have been tainted with death magic to trade to my kharadrons, so i could include an entrance there
what would be living in that cave system
what could live in a dead digestive system for hundreds of years
to the point that the organs became stone

skaven or gloomspite?
gloomspite grooming a dead whale god's intestinal flora
Thatâs fucking awesome actually
OH MY GOD I JIST SOLVED MY DWARF OPRBLEM TOO
MY DWARVES CAN GO MINIH FOR AMBERGRIS
ruins of towns and god beasts the whale ate
rotting away in the stomach
Don't forget a "pinnoccio"
UR RIGHT
god bless pre age of chaos chamon for inventing robots
duardin, gloomspite, and skaven battling out for territory in a stomach
A tzeentchian construct whose nose becomes longer as he lies ||it is of unlimited length||
thats genius actually
a city the whale god ate was during the age of chaos before nagash killed it
it was a city taken over by tzeentch
and now thye live in the stomach's remains
obsessed with 'the cosmic lie' what ever taht means
THE MASKS HAVE LONG NOSES OMG
not mine
Gloomspites and Tzeentch both have moon symbolic, right?
what would the ambergris be used for?
It's used for medicine usually
ew
since it's divine ambergris
true
divine medicine?
must be valuable
Cure warp taint?
idk
also used in perfumes
woa, it's worth around $27 a gram
mhnm
ambergis is illegal to own in the US lol
A porch thief opens up my warhammer subscription package and then closed it back up lmao
And left it at the door
Fr
Are sm librarians psykers before they are conscripted or do they become librarians, essentially on accident after?
They're psykers before they're conscripted but they aren't active psykers yet(generally speaking)
So you know youre getting a psyker space marine before you actually start making the space marine?
So it is a situation where a space marine at some point finds out they have magic powers?
did you catch them on ring camera
I sit behind my door with a shotgun pointed at it hoping my ring camera catches a porch pirate
yea
it's like laying cheese for rats
director of this movie is a pedofile btw
like a massive one
fucj
what movie was thatagain
i cant rememebr if it was the one where a guy pretended to be a neo nazi
leon the professional
director kept trying to make them have a more than cordial relationship
and actors got pissed
some actor actually beat the dudes ass iirc
Is it wrong I want a mod that allows Payday assault tracks to play during hordes in Darktide and vice versa?
no
because payday assault music is peak
including the payday 3 tracks
however that would mean I would ahve to play payday 3
Nothing will ever beat Break the Rules for me when the lyrics kick in
Apparently itâs getting better
overkill are money grubbing bitches
So as far as the lesser demons go, are there any that are more quality over quantity? Or do they all kinda stack up to the other gods versions? (Bloodletters, blue horrors, daemonates, plaguebearer)
They are all within the same "weightclass" depending on the unit
like Lesser, Greater, etc
OH THIS MOVIE
Iâm not Surprised
That movie is sketch
We watched the version with the original scenes and it was so weire
According to lore, how powerful is the reject psyker? I understand there's levels of psyker, but I'll admit that I'm quite ignorant of them đŹ
probably around the iota to epsilon range
Now how about gameplay level lol
all the rejects except the ogryn are way beyond anything you'd see even in lore. gameplay reasons
Lower ironically lol
The psyker is like the one class thats nerfed down in terms of what they can do with their psychic powers
i dont agree
Smite should literally be melting them instantly
its not just some boring ass stun in universe
its an insant fucking death beam of lightning
we're killing a ton of enemies though
same with warp fire
Yeah and smite would kill them all instantly
lol
Its a fucking smite
you can blow a hole in a russ with one
yeah the powerful psykers
fire so hot it burns your soul
No
Wyrdvanes can do that
alone
The Psykers in darktide are by far the strongest rejects
Headpop, should also instantly fucking kill enemies
it doesn't in gameplay
yeah no contest
second would be Ogryns right?
after all these guys are the same monsters that can drag around tanks and Suplex Terminators
ngl a lot of books intentionally make their psyker protaganists weaker
OOooOoooOh eisenhorn can yell at you and you'll obey
because like
its not fucking interesting when they just point at someone and their head explodes
also yeah Eisenhorn is weird
debbie the starbucks lady will never see it coming
LOL
one of the funniest things i also can think is that like, Zealots only keep up with the through aggression and Fanaticism
they are so Faithful and Aggressive that they can slice through hordes like a maniac
Funny thing about Psykers and how strong they are
I find that the best way for someone to understand what itâs like to be a psyker in 40K, is just to play as a psyker in Dark Heresy
Early levels? Hell. Absolute hell
Youâre 1 step away always from 1) blowing yourself up 2) warp corrupting yourself
Later levels thoughâŚ
Depending on your build and chosen psyker discipline youâre a freaking monster in diff ways
isn't jaghti kan alive?
Is he?
Yes.
Just in limbo like every loyalist primarch
As the holiday season begins in earnest, it's time to catch up once again with our fictional founder, James Workshop. See what he's been up to as he spreads the joy of Warhammer. https://ow.ly/WBzS50TXVgo
Follow for more Warhammer, more often:

Fridged to be used on a later date
đ
does it still make sense to claim your homebrew chapters to descend from lost primarchs?
We basically know nothing about them so up to you I guess.
Basically adds nothing to them and is cliche a lot of homebrewers do.
Im pretty sure thats the whole point of them.
Na they were originally just a reference to the lost Roman legions, people just started using them for homebrew
I thought so as well but turns out no
and I've read somewhere that apparently remnants of one of the lost legions got absorbed into ultramarines but dunno if that's canon
it is very heavily hinted at in canon at least
Itâs something that some marines during the HH believe, but that doesnât mean itâs true
In the Heresy books there are mentions how the Ultramarine Legion swelled in number massively during that time when the missing primarchs' legions were lost/disbanded
Yeah, from my knowledge, a lot of traitor legions loyalists also got absorbed into the ultramarines. So id assume the same would happen to the lost legions as well.
Its canon.
Every single thing we know about the lost legions is basically in the lexicanum page.
They made an entire list of any mentions they get from books
aw so what about homebrews who claim to descend from them? It makes no sense lore wise now
Well yeah because they are cringe.
theres a reason thats a meme on homebrewers, they do it just to seem Cool/Mysterious
its a lot better if you just make their founding unknown/or from a pre-existing Legion and just twist it around
even the very obscure chapters are suggested to come from this successor
My homebrew is cool though, because theyâre blood angels who donât have the blood angels flaws because they arenât actually blood angels (they donât know)
or they dislike all founding chapters but still like the idea of space marines
I mean no thats literally the reason.
disliking all founding chapters is also a very weird mindset to have if you are making a Chapter lol
I find successor chapters cooler
I mean you can do that too. Successors can be split to create new Chapters but they tend to be considered successors of the founding Legion still, rather than successors of a successor.
Also could go with either unknown or chimeric geneseed
there are hybrids?
Games workshop trying to make a mini for anything that isnt imperium or orks:
Honestly?
yeah
i feel like orks as of late has become the second favorite
multiple dedicated things for them
becuase its like, the best selling xenos
consistantly*
AOS has to evenly split up thier releases for all the factions becuase the player base is pretty evenly devided
yes they are like the skaven of 40k, the not main characters but are very popular
the two most owned factionsin AOS are stormcasts and slaves to darkness
I think it was cooler back in early 40k when there were just 1000 chapters, most were completely unknown with no name, and the idea of successors didn't exist
no suprise their
Just come up with your own crazy shit, that's so much cooler
the probem is gw somehow made the milkyway feel small but also so big nothing matters
1000 chapters of space to do whatever you want with
i like orks bur GW is incredibly doubling down on them
like suddenly i just received this influx of ork content
one of the 1st expansion kill teams are orks
i mean it woudl be fine, but its all you see
yeah like
I love them very much but it's like they're the only xenos right now
nids, csm , space marines, orks, and guard
thats basically 40k atm
lore wise
wasnt like, half of the KT events last edition just nids or orks?
meanwhile NIDS DOENST HAVE A KILLTEAM

you mean the Kommando kill team?
Octarius
oct tare, us
thakn you
adn the one right after that
with the uh

uh
i forgot the other event
OH AND THE 40K EVENT TAHT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BT AND SISTERS VS NECRONS
HAD NO NECRONS
THEY GOT NO SUPPORT
Kill team was Related at Octarius?
yeah it was an introduction to the event
the KT event then the 40k event
thats where the firt KT box took palce
i see
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/pkwkaw2j/heading-to-fight-some-ratlings-check-up-with-doc-butchas-orkupational-health/ they also got this
Who I think was still orks?
Hate this
it's basically just like some short fun lore blurb but like it's more orks
i love them to death but like they are getting too much attentions
It has nothing to do with KT why is tagged KT
yeah like
at least put it at 40k
I first through it was a teaser for plastic uh
Whatâs his name
The named doc
Who made ghaz
Grotsnik?
Yeah
yeah same
On topic of orks
PRAYING for krule boyz cavalry
I know we are getting a hobgrot character
i'm surprised they don't have like Gnashtoof cavalry
i would have expected them to have like that
Well we have a companion weapons battle formation
So I expect us to loose that
Lose*
If we get cavalry
Ask da doc
Speaking of which
Do orks do surgery
Painboy do
if by surgery you mean being torn apart and stitched back together with whatever the painboy has at hand, yes
Less surgery and more âIâm gonna play with your body parts for funsies and maybe itâll help you too if I like youâ
Mad Dok Quotes from Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War
Download MP3 files: http://www.mediafire.com/?r2n56uogrpl459i
These lines are fucking perfect for what itâs like, would you like to go unconscious with this guy around?
Most of these lines are not directed towards the enemy
At what level of mathematics is the typical space marine?
They can do calculus on the fly without a pen and paper or a calculator right
depends on chapter
but generally yeah, ultramarines and iron warriors are specifically trained for staistics and shit to maximize their stuff
meanwhile space wolves probably dont give a shit
the space marines honestly depend on their tech more than anything
they have auto aiming things on their guns
and do they have that perk from fallout 4 where you can see the arc of your grenade?
Their armours probably does give them some information on such data
Most of them are not that smart.
Really?
Well yeah, their job isnt to think, its to kill
They're very good soldierbros
And are very sophisticated in the matters of mutilating their fellow man
Knowledge beyond that varies
So like. You canât expect a space wolf crash landed on a vibrant planet to make his own smelter and house and car?
To build a rocket to get off the planet?
No?
lmao
They arent PhD-tier geniuses
thats reserve for techmarines and even they just got a good grasp on machines and not much else
Actually. If a tech marine is thrown onto a vibrant planet. Heâll eventually build a rocket ship?
Unless it's a techmarine that landed on a planet of scrap no
Probably after a few months
So like. Can space wolfs do algebra
yeah it's actually designed for the smart ones
they are brainwashed child soldiers
OkayâŚbut they all speak high-gothic. Right?
like Techmarines
Generally.
Month ? Like a unhabited world ?
I'd say more like a couple of years
If even
yeah that too, if there isnt any materials he's essentially fucked
Even a Magos I'm not certain would have the knowhow to build a functioning Space ship
Is there any books or stories about tech marines stranded and left in unhabitated places?
nope
Actually. Is there tech marine centered books/novellas/shorts you guys read?
Techpriest aren't taught everything, just the maintenance they're required to do, as well as how to control their different tools.
^
Techmarines arent just mini-einsteins
they are taught what they need to know
again Marines are not super-smart, their job doesnt require them for it
Maths are for serfs!
They aren't picking the smarties, or the sharpies.
The toughies are the one picked as kids
The average eldar guardian can do calculus. Right
The militia guys
That and prob more.
Remember their added lifespan basically allows them to learn anything
Also Guardians aren't dedicated soldiers, they're militia lol
Basically whatever your job is rn imagine you get bored and leave it to do another profession and hold multiple skills from that
its a bit too "it depends" tho since Eldar got a lot of societal freedoms
Can the average Tâau fire warrior do calculus?
Uhhh probably
they are like U.S/Nato drone operators half the time
do the math on the screen and let bombs fly
More so than Imperial Guard soldiers most likely
Yeah imperial guard is even more basic
I wonât ask about schola progenium students because I did read a story about them and the shit they make kids do is ridiculous
Thats also too much "it depends"
remember the Imperium requires you to be uneducated
it makes brainwashing/propaganda easier
In the short where the alpha legion hits a school for recruits. The main character girl is punished at the moment with having to read 100 pages of a textbook on water plants. Expressively knowing nobody is going to work on water plants from there
Yeah they only educate you at the bearest of minimums for you to do what they want unless it's very important
So yeah Iâd say all the people from scholas are straight up just smart
i've seen some dumb commissars
Like, commissars who donât think cells exist?
Human moment
schola progenium is more of an indoctrination/fighting education from what i could tell
It largely is
they teach you how to fight war not solve math
The imperium you see is like a boot
yeah like i'm pretty sure jobs that require you to like track the amount of supplies and stuff would have some kind of implant to make the calculations easier
I mean. What I read was a short. But it does appear that yeah. Theyâre being indoctrinated/taught to fight, they do shit like expecting a 10 year old girl to read and write a whole essay on an industrial water plant textbook for, I forgot what the character even did
or you know a machine that does the counting for you
interesting
When the alpha legion start nabbing the kids. One has a traitor primaris psyker. And she goes âalrightâŚyou kids ever see anyone die before?â
And the kids are like âyeah, duhâ
"wanna see me blow somebody up with my mind?"
Nah she doesnât say that but she does headsplat one of the teachers trying to kill the kids to deny the AL recruits
Makes sense
Tried to make myself in Veilguard but everyone says it looks like gigachad
Veilguard has a very weird artstyle lol
It's not bad in the actual gameplay
Was just the first couple trailers that looked odd
Im running melee rogue and the combat has been great so far
Damn, that mechanicus model goes hard as fuck
I didnt watch the trailers

hi chat
Hey
Helo
hi
Heyo
Hello
I miss when dragon age was grimdark
Now itâs all bright and the UI looks like a mobile game
RIP BioWare I miss you every day
It does feel like a pixar game
Darkspawn design reminds me of a wow legion dungeon mob
Iâm afraid dragon age 2 was peak
The flesh is weeeeeeeak
purple hawke my beloved......
ALright fun challenge
Use one sentence to sum up your favorite faction
bonus points if you use one word
Was this jacket ever in the store? With this specific pattern ?
Inquisition
Whatever go my scarab
yeah
back in August
When is the closed helmet with glowing eyes coming back
Eventuary
It will probably return when the rest of the Scion gear gets added to the store
power scaling units is a pain in the ass, especially for imperium ones since every thing is just the elite of the elite
You are a veteran guardsman too so youre basically an elite already so penance gear counts
Catachan stuff
why do they do this rotating shop
istg it makes me want to buy shit even less
To be able to sell variations of already sold cosmetics (changing just the colour)
CADIAAAAAA
it costs an insane amount of money to get a skin pack for all the classes
just 1 skin each
which Iron Hands hand gets replaced? 40k wiki (known for inaccuracy to be fair) and 1d6chan claim it's the left hand however official art shows it's the right one
Didn't even know there was a significance in the hand of choice
there shouldn't be
unironically yes since Ferrus had both hands encased in metal
all of them should have two bionic hands
||And had something else happen to his head||
Thank god for that.

Where is there a place where there aren't too many non Iron Hand Fans
An empty room
why are IH so unpopular
Because they just lack a bit of flair and some people find them boring.
^
so are the black templar but I see them all the time
And under used
I wake up every day thankful I'm not an Iron hand fan
Not really
BT have their...
Thing
any chapter that has too many brothers is a bad chapter they make everybody and anybody over here
Not really.
Again.
anyway, Black Templars are knights templar in space and people got a weird fetishistic obsession with christian knight stuff
^
Kinda like how Krieg are way more popular than they ought to be
This too yeah
you like templars because as a jew you can sympathize with their genocidal ways since that's what your people are doing to palestinians
It kind of sucks ngl since they attract those kind of 40k fans
the fuck
but there is nothing wrong with iron hands
Uh
Come again?
How about we don't
I dont support anything going on in Israel. Dont put words in my mouth you sack of shit.
Yeah lets just not. Dont say shit like that again
I'm not paid enough to talk about that part of the world.
the RG erasure is real
đ
Space Wolf have Powerwolf
White Scar have the Hu (And Okiten)
Who would be for IH ?
I do have a Gnome Metal band though, which is quite cool tbh
Ok so we have dwarf metal and gnome metal
how can people call iron hands bland when imperial fists exist
the one piece
lmao
there's two
two first founding yes
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Loyal_Space_Marine_Chapters_(List) look how many angels
This is a list of the Loyalist Space Marine Chapters that have been named by Games Workshop in official texts, and does not include any "home grown" chapters.
lmao all I can hear is the star wars theme scrolling down that list
IF have cool characters (Sigismund), have some cool successor (Astral Knight, BT, Son of the Phoenix...), have some good stories.
And are based due to picking Juves out in Necromunda
some day someone will write a cool IH character you'll see
we have one
suddenly everyone will be like
oh I always liked iron hands
he leads black shields during the HH
Iron Hands have a cool aesthetic on occasion but that's about it
my another lore question is are there servitor brothels?
well failed aspirants
it's not exploited enough imo. you can do so much with the aesthetic
i love mechanical body horror
or brothel, not brother
I mean their cunts are still organic right?

very cool text from this two day old account
Maybe, but really isn't a topic I'm favouring
Can we switch topic ?
servitor piss tbh
seek the nearest help center hotline
hey blame GW for coming up with servitors
it's a messed up idea I'm merely exploring it
You do you I guess
(yes probably unfortunately)
that's my goat
we all know the only important one is the cursed founding, thats why all the homebrew lore is from that founding
oh i thought we were tlaking about foudnign not angels
this went from 0 to 100 in like 2 seconds
the only angel here is you mag
it took way too much energy to not send a puppy girl emoji
whats the deal with youtubers gushing over the lucifer blacks
nothing, they just got a cool name
i keep hearing they're like super elites but there's like 5 references to them in the lore
They're Terran Born Regiments
old 100 regiments are criminally under used
They're for the most part guarding the outer edge of the Palace, but also working with the Custodes iirc
i have the faintest hope that somewhere somehow a modern military survives as an old 100
despite all the odds
those two are not the same in the slightest in terms of use cases (maybe some overlap)
imagine this, india exists up until age of strife where it gets destroyed like the rest of earth but the indian military becomes a roving band of marauders who somehow kept the same military structure. emperor finds them im the wastes and is like "wanna join my kick ass imperium" and then they team up
old 100 born
instead of drone strikes, they just send exploding servoskulls at you
rc car cherub bombs
Based.
I'll be honest I have no idea what the Indian Military is like, or if it's noteworthy
The only thing I know is them doing medieval warfare with china during border conflicts
They don't use guns just rocks, makeshift weapons, and shields
any country
it was just an example
Most likely wouldn't happen
cant stop me from writing it
Due to the multiple near extinction events
It's like if you transported a roman empire legion to modern day
JOKE
GET HIM
I keep seeing these 40k youtube shorts merchants that keep saying that space marines are basically unkillable to normal people. But am i wrong in thinking that like 2 shots from a standard lazgun would kill an unhelmeted space marine? With a helmet, surely it would be like 4-5 on max output before you cook the marine inside? Or something like a boltgun. Like one bolt to the head would pop a space marine, no? I guess the issue comes with the marine knowing youre there trying to kill him. But in ambush situations. At least in my head cannon, marines really arnt that hard to kill.
you're trying to ambush a being which has vastly better reflexes than you
Well yeah. But marines arnt magic. you can still shoot one without them knowing. Im guessing its super hard to pull off but still
As seen in The First Heretic, as a regular human you can kill a space marine with a wooden spear lmao
Actually, yeah. iirc, in gaunts ghosts there was a segment where a militarum convoy got jumped by a squad of khorne bezerkers and the marines got wiped out by a platoon of guardsment lol.
Yeah, we didn't
But also
Hearing that some space marine got fucked because they didn't wear a helmet was a bit funny
it is
but I like to imagine that argal tal is the one who fuckind murdered him
after he got shanked by the dude with the spear
Marines are decently hard to kill though
but like
you can kill them
its not an impossability
you're fucked on even ground
bird chapter be like
iirc in Lords of Silence, a bunch of planetary defence force troopers aligned with White Consuls killed a plague marine by focusing lasgun fire on one point of his armor
Though I may be misremembering things
"The Legionnaire that scoffs at a lasgun has not charged across an open field against a hundred of them."
I stand by the idea of it making total sense for space marines not wearing helmets! I see a bunch of people say "oh, it makes no sense to not wear a helmet in war" mf, these are egotistical maniacs. It makes total sense for them to not wear helemts. Essentially them saying "my head is right here. Try and kill me." and for space marines, thats super in character. -Ty for coming to my ted talk.
Obviously Iâm not gonna get into a knife fight with one
my bayonet will save me
Space Marines are not unkillable and are pretty much as easily mortal to any hazards an average human could face. They got some resistance to a few things but they can die from simple/dumb mistakes like any normal person, you could have trained your entire life and just die in a thunderhawk crash after some guy on a flak cannon shoots it down, youtube 40k content creators are just extremely biased towards marines half the time because it gets more clicks from braindead 40k youtube audiences.
You don't need to headcannon something thats a fact
On lasguns tho no it'd take like a good magazine or a few more shots to completely scorch through a marine's head/skull. A boltgun tho yeah it will split their heads open like eggs, 2-3 shots and they are basically done lol
Iirc there was a mark of power armor had had a flaw where a shot could ricochet up into a space marines head from his breastplate
Yeah i was giving it as a mortality example
Feel like that's something in Fallout
Reading ? In our warhammer discord ?
Fallout show had that other one
Yeah it was the Errant Armour aka MK 8
yeah MK8 was funny
it somehow did the exact opposite
of what it was designed to do lol
but it eventually got changes so it didn't just randomly kill people
Apparently mk8 had the gorget to address it
Its mentioned in deathwatch rites of battle
Night Lords should be the ones with Blood Angels vampire shtick
Lol apparently in mechanicum there was a stc to allow mass produced power armor
Power armor is mass produced
sorta
thats not that special
Combat enginseers do all have power armor lol
Yeah sorry i meant like astartes like armor without black carapace requirementa
oh
So the army couldve been decked out
I saw that the fallout show was mentioned and i complain about everything. Fallout show was below mid... It was bad. Fight me
Thinking back on it, i guess its stupid to say that a few lasgun shots could kill a space marine in the head considering their armour was probably made to primarily withstand las/ small arms fire.
I was thinking the shots would heat up the helmet but yeah. Considering what the armour was originally made for, im pretty sure that would make a few lashots a big disadvantage
Pretty much yeah, like lasfire CAN penetrate ceramite its more that it would take a lot of concentrated fire.
