For the big weapons, they have heavy weapons teams. Auto cannons, las cannons, even heavy bolters are all on weapon platforms operated by a couple guardsmen.

I don't know if I've ever seen a guardsman wielding a heavy bolter, but space marine scouts do.

And if you look up "gaunts ghosts" I think one of those guys is rocking an auto cannon.
