I thought the whole thing with the Larramans organ was it stops bleeding effectively everywhere. Yet, consistently, punctures in the neck, like Xaphen and that one blooded world eater trying to kill Kharn, are taken out from various cuts to their necks. not clean decapitations, just cuts to arteries there. Why isn't Larraman geneseed working???

So one thing is ADB himself has said the marine dying from the spear to the neck is probably just Argel Tal covering for killing the dude himself cause he hated him
But if you cut an artery it’s still an artery, it might clot but it cuts off flow and if you do enough it might not be recoverable
Marines don’t bleed out much, it’s the cutting off of flow which is the issue
If you cut off the entire flow of blood to the brain it’s still cut off
It doesn’t matter if if can clot fast if the entire artery is severed
That’s why slitting someone’s throat works
You cut both arteries to the brain
And breathing obviously
You have to hit both arteries mostly to do it but yeah, unless there’s immediate assistance that’ll kill someone
So Tl;dr, it’s possible try clotting will save a marine if you cut off arteries and the extra organs help a lot with blood flow, but if you cut off the right stuff it still does the job. The clotting just prevents them from bleeding out largely. Doesn’t mean they can’t also, but it’s a huge effort to do that.
There’s often rules in games like the RPGs which have marines ignoring bleeding out effects and stuff.
