I’m gonna ring your neck
Eightbound have crop tops this is true
I am merely speaking the truth.
Lord invocatus isn't wearing any armor on the lower half or pelvic area lmao

When I see post-heresy Kharn I can't help but think that he has long, flowing blue hair thanks to this mini lmao
Just because you're murdering people on the daily
Doesn't mean you can't be stylish
I can’t explain with out sounding like a terrible person lmao
Just gotta make the drip jive with the blood
And I can’t send examples and break down the image with out seeming like a terrible person lmao
(Also this pisses me off for different reasons)
Hastune Miku Kharn
Y'know what fuck it
just say it
Yeah that's pretty much what comes to my mind
The art breaks the lore like in 5 different ways
I immediately regret my decision
Breaks is an exaggeration
Why does that fucking Bloodthirster on the left reminds me of this:
they're all bloodletters
But A; sisters dating a guard would like never happen, B it’s so fucking creepy, it’s so fuckinh mind break fetish core. The elegant skin and hair with the blood shot white eyes
god damn terminology
Wait for A.
Sister aren't bound to vows of celibacy
It's mentioned in the Cain books.
They can take one but they don't need to
And often some don't
They just don't have the time
In aos there is a twin soul for Slaanesh, it’s someone sharing their body with a Slaanesh demon. I just imagine khorne leaping across settings and deciding to one up Slaanesh and make the 8 bound
How's everyone's day going?
Really?
And it never changed
Jfc finally. I found the art which shows a GK with a dead Ork.
Let me check my sisters books I’ve read I swore one of them said they are sworn to celibacy
It's like how Squats are technically still canon, they jsut got genocided by Tyranids
I think it's an optional thing
WHAHAHA WHATS THAT ORK HEAD
Yeah they live on Necromunda
Big Ork
big boi
Khorne is about to make eightbound in blades of khorne as well
lul
I think it depend on the Conclave they're from
The Patrick ork
As for two
Usually mind break fetish doesn't have them about to fucking blow their boyfriend's head off with a Boltgun
I wouldn't be against it tbh
Honestly BoK need like, a new unit lmao
A murder tank bastard would be nice
AoS is adopting the 40k method
where everyone will get a mini with their book
even if its just a foot character
I know aos did that last edition
not for every book iirc
some didn't get one until after
not tthat it really matters
Who??
Ngl I love my boy Gemini on Lies of P
Not neferata but they got a monster hunter foot hero for the wolf ones
She’s bad everyone did
Ah yes, Not Ulrika
She’s an outcast but she’s still a. Vykros character lol
To be fair eldar did the same thing
best Drukhari Archon mini GW has made/j
They need to let us bring vampire lords as a mini hero in each regiment with so many vampire lord model lmao
LOL
I swear to god if we get ANOTHER vykros character I’ll snap
We are confirmed getting new grave guard though
why do all the Eldar/Elves have extravagant hats
more importantly
where do i get one
And maybe black guard

like if we had at least 3 chareacters for every fucking dyansty it would be fine
but for somereason in EVERY SETTING
the wolf faction gets the msot chracters
i forgot vykos have unique units too
well
they arent unique anymore
except one of them
Can someone help me understand this joke, I read all his eldar books and get he fucked them up, but I don’t get this beyond that
13 seconds · Clipped by Blake Thompson · Original video "ASPECT WARRIORS: The COOLEST eldar around | Warhammer 40k Lore" by KrakDuk
Thats literally the joke
Gav is shit at writing Eldar fight other factions because they always lose or get humiliated lol
nothing beyond that
Shockingly, people don’t enjoy reading a book about the subject getting shit on a lot
Well, most people
^
Ah ok
Like its not even salt
Some dorks have fetishes
an eldar warrior literally dies from wooden splinters imploding near him
its legit silly
but like yeah not much beyond that they just suck thats kind of it
It’s very easy to make both factions look cool when writing also, it just takes some effort
I just thought he mostly just kinda didn’t do anything cool with their lore, I don’t really remember much about the fights, which I guess says something
I get he wanted to do the whole “oh the eldar are really in peril all the time” angle but c’mon you don’t have to make them suck so hard
The imperium kinda has that angle, and are still strong
It’s just boring, it goes for any faction where they just get shit on in their own book, like why are you writing this?
Almost Kinda makes me wanna play eldar in tabletop to see if they feel strong
Dark Angels also suffer from Gav lol
Iirc Drukhari are good rn
It comes and goes in waves for table top rules
But I’ve already specced into like 3 armies and I don’t know if I can spread myself thinner
I know Eldar have been pretty good for awhile
I’m not even good at the factions I play lol
But it depends on how competitive you wanna be
I don't think Harlequins are an army anymore?
ok
It's not wrong xD
I also think it's a reflection of the fandom.
Since there's quite a looooot of Eldar hate from the same people that go.
'Imperium closest to good guys."
So true
Because the Eldar don't think that way largely, they just don't care about non Eldar lives.
There's not a lot of reason for either faction to trust eachother.
The Imperium doesn't even really care about their own people's lives. XD
I didn't say they did.
Just that they're both assholes.
The Eldar are basically the trust fund race who fumbled it, the Imperium is the xenophobic empire which is slowly crumbling from problems it created itself a lot of times.
Eh. The Craftworlders are the Trust Fund Kids that realized their coke, hedonism parties and drunk driving was a bad idea and left the party to straighten up.
It doesn't change that they were born with a silver spoon as a race and never really had to struggle or earn any of it, and still have a huge sense of superiority somehow.
They are better physically, but thats all do to factors which had nothing to do with them. The greatest time for their race was due to simply being the last big dog standing after their creators and the Necrons destroyed eachother.
Like it's basic instinct to want to prioritize your race's life over some other ones
I agreed
But I also don't think they're good for it or that somehow it makes them much better.
They just lucked out being created with what they were.
I think their perspective is understandable but its not a good one still.
It doesn't really. It's more just basic survival instincts.
Like of course they'd fuck over another race to prevent a death of their own.
And the same thing for the Imperium.
The only thing both sides don't have
Is some FUCKING SELF AWARENESS

Its an inevitable conclusion that neither side is gonna work well together, the Imperium hates xenos too much, the Eldar are too proud and arrogant.
It requires the Eldar to treat someone nicely for one conversation
Even when Eldrad is trying to work with humans he often fucks it up due to his arrogance, and he's one of the better diplomats they have.
And it requires the Imperium to not be xenophobic for 0.2 seconds
So obviously they fail miserably and it devolves into a shoot out

Cycle of violence and yada yada
There's no moral virtue in pain and suffering my dude. >.>
?
What?
I didn't say there was, just that the Eldar are the equivalent of the billionaires kids born into opulence while humanity is more the third world country born into squalor.
Its understandable why they don't have much empathy of care for anyone else but it doesn't mean they're not assholes.
They just lucked out.
The mentality that.
"Actually poverty and struggling are morally purifying and good for you. Having things be or go easy is a sign of moral laxity and failing."
I didn't say it was
Stop putting words into my mouth.
Where did I say the Imperium was better?
also the eldar had to earn their right to existence during their birth as a race they didn't just roll over the necrons
They didn't, they lost the war in fact but ended up winning as a race because the Necrons had to lose so much to destroy the Old Ones.
They won out by not being the priority.
this game killing me
Then they picked up the Old Ones prior empire and the gifts they were born with and took over because no one else was around.
I think what Eternal is saying is
The Aeldari still act arrogant even when it's not beneficial to do so. Often leaving out vital information and generally just being hard to work with. Because they're too busy thinking that you're too stupid to even breathe.
And the Imperium is too Xenophobic to work with. Often not even letting the Eldar do objectively beneficial things. And generally being so distrustworthy of xenos in general, that it makes a Drukhari jealous.
Overall
More like the war was a Draw.
It requires both of them to genuinely sit down
The Old Ones got wiped out
That's not a draw
So of course it will never happen
the old ones died but the orks and eldar are still alive
the C'tan are broken or dead
The Necrons wiped out the Old Ones then had to go destroy the C'tan.
That's why they are call us Monkiy
necrons had to sleep to avoid being obliterated and wait out the eldar empire
The Necrons were controlled by the C'Tan, and their general goal was to wipe out the Old Ones.
They succeeded, but the aftermath crippled them
So the goal of their war actually did succeed
But like everything
In WH40K
It's a pyrrhic victory at best
but pretending that the eldar did nothing is dumb
I didn't say they did nothing, but they earned nothing.
We don't know what actually happened to the Old Ones. If they were all wiped out or if the remnants fled.
They were made the way they are.
The Aeldari technically lost the war.
But they also don't really care about that
Due to the aftermath
They failed at their objective too but it worked out for them.
The Necrons decided it was better to go to sleep for 60 million years rather then deal with everything.
Yes, the aftermath crippled them. Not the war itself.
I HATE THESE BLUE BASTARDS SO DAMN MUCH
They would've eliminated the Eldar if they didn't rebel and fight against their C'Tan masters
Also arguably the Necrons could have still destroyed them but they didn't wanna further destroy themselves and they had at least destroyed the Old Ones.
We don't really know how it would have gone for obvious reasons.
Sort of a direct consequence of the war. >.>
The Silent King was the one who made the call.
talking about the in heaven?
True
But technically they still won

Apparently Abaddon knows about it now
The Eldar failed to wiped them out with the Old Ones and Krork behind their back, and failed at the job they were made for.
And then they remained stagnant as an empire, resting in the ashes of the war for millions of years until they made a chaos god.
To be fair, they expanded for a while
Not very far
And then got bored and stagnanted
Its part of why DAoT humanity existed like it did
If you 'winning' is, 'Lets sleep for 60 million years and hope everyone we fought dies and the galactic situation unfucks itself.' is winning then thats sounds more like a draw. XD
Their empire was small.
Well the other guys were all genocided so
Since the direct result of that was a Aeldari Empire that lasted 60 million years and dominated the milky way.
To be fair, the Eldar did nothing but watch the aftermath
After the old ones died
So
They couldn't even destroy the Necrons after 60 million years.
When they were sitting ducks.
Look. If you quit the field and leave the other guy to go on and found a 60 million year long civilization that sounds like the Aeldari came out on top more then the Crons.
I think it was more like they just didn't care
And the DAoT humans avoided them, hoping to not piss them off
The Aeldari weren't the focus
The Old Ones were, the Aeldari just lucked out in the end.
not really resting, just making have bdsm style sex in them
Well yes some stuff happened.
An extreme for an Eldar is different
Extreme for us is the BDSM type shit
For an Eldar, that's basically vanilla
It took 60 million years for the Aeldari empire to rot enough to create Slaanesh.
Even in 40k
Yes ik
Extreme for an Eldar is what Drukhari does
Yes so the Eldar even suck at making a Chaos god.
To be fair they didn't intend to
Their way more sensitive than us
Humans almost did it in like, what 48,000 years?
They didn't jump straight from the war in heaven to partying like it's 1999 but with all the space crack, hookers and blackjack on the galaxy.
ik
This is also true
No I mean just make a mostly clown army
it was a slow burn
Ok that doesn't change how as a race they're the trust fund babies.
They earned nothing, they were made the way they are.

They explored music and the arts until it got dull
I think they're technically evolutionary dead ends
And based off Necron reactions haven't changed much since the War in Heaven.
Like they can't evolve further
they did the partying
yes
They also did develop wraithbone and apparently their technology did get a bit more advanced after the war
And then Slaanesh happened
The Drukhari are arguably their most successful component.
And look at what they've "made"
the Deldar are able to advance since they didn't lose all their tech like the craftworlders
mhm
They don't advance, but they do have old empire stuff.
best part about the Dark eldar
But its not clear how much of that was from the WiH era and what wasn't
Since we know they had super weapons back then they used.
I think you can argue the Craftworld are
Since all of their technology is different from the WiH/Drukhari stuff
Even after making a chaos god, they found a way to still do the fucked up shit they do, without getting they soul snatched
Its just crabs in a barrel.
Basically all their technology is relatively new
Only the top of the barrel gets to actually live that long.
Relatively
That term doesn't mean what you think it means.
As Drukhari get older it’s harder and harder to get enough “juice” to not have their soul taken
It just means a a trait that might have some short term benefits but ultimately leads to lower diversification rates of lineages.
A lot of Drukhari can’t even get enough suffering at younger ages
Yeah the general meaning of the term doesn't really apply to the Aeldari.
It’s only the tops who can really live to be super old and get enough juice
And also not get betrayed along the way
Also if you think about it
no that's the Tau
Technically the Eldar now just have the same fate as any other race in the Warhammer 40k universe
Endless torture in the warp
they just have more ways to circumvent it
Eeeeeeeeeh. There's a looooot of evidence that a lot of races have afterlives they can reach if their lucky.
The Craftworld tech is different from Drukhari tech
Basically it's less powerful but more rugged. Also is much more mystic and shit
Most souls just dissipate in the warp
The elders issue is they all have brighter souls
I've found plenty of contra evidence that seems to show a lot of humans at least don't dissipate or get eaten by warp predators.
And there’s plenty to the contrary
Nah that's actually rare
It’s not really a solid case either way
I didn't say that evidence is non-existent.
Hell even Celestine has to fight her way out of the warp to get her body back
It’s inconsistent, overall I just go with that one since it’s not clear
Basically going through hell each and every time she dies
oh
Just that there's plenty of evidence also showing that plenty of folks can find safe harbor in the warp after death.
Some rare cases
People like Garro and Celestine and the one Titan Princeps aren’t common cases
Not even rare cases.
True. If you're a powerful enough Psyker, you can create a little realm for yourself
But it's like a boat in an ocean.
An ocean filled with bloodthirsty sharks.
One Guard Novel had some dying guardsmen see like all of their dead buddies they fought with.
That could be a dying illusion
That doesn’t mean he actually saw them or he went to heaven or whatever
We see Titan Princeps get yoinked into the bosom of the Titans machine spirit along with all of the rest of the crew that had died over the Titans service.
Yes
Yeah true, but that's an established thing
Like every princeps gets absorbed into the Titan
These are not common cases
Saint Celestine has to literally climb over her own dead body's correct?
Each Titan basically has thousands of people inside it
The warp is the warp, it does whatever the fuck it wants, sometimes you get to be relatively safe, sometimes you're tortured for all eternity
And also fight Daemons
Grab her armor which is usually rusted
it effectively comes down to luck
In general I peg the afterlife as very unclear in 40k because it’s not super clearly established
And I prefer it not be totally dour
And literally fight some of them barehanded
But in general we see not fun stuff
I think it's supposed to be like irl
Basically unclear
Who knows what will happen to you when you die
Maybe disappearing into the warp is peaceful
No one knows, and I like it that way
Or maybe you're gonna suffer for what feels like 10 billion years until suddenly you cease to exist
It could be.
Probably isn't.
The Eldar used to be able to reincarnate before the whole
Slaanesh thing
So maybe it's the same for humans
They just don't know cause
Reincarnation doesn't give you your memories back
‘They have already earned their freedom from this damnation,’ said Celestine with warm certainty. ‘They are victims of despair no longer, and in death their souls will fly free to join with the Emperor’s light. We must follow them.’```
An Alaitocii philosopher, Nurithinel the Outspoken, had once claimed that the humans’ worship of their corpse-Emperor was no worse than the interment of eldar spirits within the infinity circuit and had been hounded from the craftworld for the distasteful comparison.
Golden, skull-faced spirits swept forth from ancient tombs and reliquaries, rising high into the heavens to encircle the Grand Honorificum.```
```Then they flew over its glittering boundary, and Roboute saw an infinite realm of light stretching out as far as it was possible to imagine. Bielanna released the threads of the past, letting them fall into the weave of light opening up before them. They fell like golden strands of hair, splitting and branching like a growing network of nerves in a newborn life.
Everywhere he looked, he saw the threads of the past spread into the future, growing exponentially more complex, accelerating into the future at the speed of possibility.
And then, an awful sense of separation, of letting go.
He fought to hold on, terrified at the thought of being trapped here. This was not his realm, he didn’t belong here. To see such a place was magnificent, a boon he hoped with all his heart he wouldn’t forget, but to exist here?
That way lay madness for a mortal.
Open your eyes, go home. Live.
Bielanna’s presence fell away from Roboute, fading into the infinite golden weave she had wrought. What Telok had put asunder, she had remade, but such a feat was not without price.
He watched her spirit fall, dissipate, blending into the warp and weft of past, present and future. He desperately wanted to say some sort of farewell, but what words of his could possibly convey the depth of what every living being that now had a chance to exist owed her?
Bielanna Faerelle vanished into the skein, its golden light enfolding her and the spirits of her warriors, beyond the reach of She Who Thirsts. In the instant before Roboute returned to the Speranza, he had a last glimpse of the unborn eldar children.
Their faces were still undefined, but he knew they were smiling.
Welcoming their mother.```
I do think it's like this
Ordinarily, it's a random chance for these possibilities when some random human dies
- Disappear into the warp peacefully. An eternal bliss awaits until reincarnation
- The Emperor, despite being a total asshole, tries to save as many souls as possible. Prioritizing the useful ones first.
He doesn't have a 100% success rate
- If Psyker, get eaten by daemons and then disappear into the warp
- If Blank, uhhhhhh
Blanks do in fact have souls.
But how that works, fuck knows. Since they're still anti-souls.
I think it's like a divergent evolution type of thing
Like
Similar to how Psykers are
Maybe the anti soul and the regular soul cancel themselves out
Take the sisters of silence
With 0 chance of getting nomed on by a Daemon
Also none of this might be true, its all perception based
its all things of people who are almost dying or doing shit that can change your perception
The warp is known for its clarifty and lack of symbolism and allegory so its actually 100% true idk what you mean.
I like that its ambiguous
Dying in general makes you all wonky
cause y'know
you're dying
I distinctly remember almost drowning as a child
and after trying to fight it
I just sort of
gave up
and let myself disappear
only to get saved
Crazy when you dont have oxygen to your brain, you're brain and thoughts kinda dont work anymore
There is a likelyhood that consciousness could literally just be a hallucination
Merely a byproduct of our developed brains
But eh
who cares lol
watch funny metal man shoot gun funy
I actually dunno how I feel about the eye visors being retractable
do SM helmet always do that?
There's old excerpts
Their visors also go up in older media too.
In general its not brought up much or doesn't come up in 40k a lot and we're only recently getting much media for it.
tru
The troopers of the Brimlock 11th scrambled to obey, their own company sergeant majors worrying them into position as though they were dogs herding cattle.
Stanhope watched the carefully controlled chaos as, slowly, the individual companies started to emerge. He started walking down the front line, looking for his place.
He passed the cavalry and Ledbetter there dipped his lance in salute, then the artillery and Rosa gave him a wave, brandishing some kind of meat bone. Drum treated him to a blast of battle-hymns on his vox-amps and pranced a bizarre saluting dance on top of his tank. Stanhope acknowledged them all, but his place was not with them.
He passed Deverril, Wymondham, Ingoldsby, Fergus, Tyrwhitt, Gomery, Colquhoun, still no sign of his men. He saw Arbulaster, chest out, gut in, standing as proud as he’d ever seen him, Brooce by his side. Stanhope did not look his way, though, he just carried on walking. He passed Roussell, who did not seem able to stop adjusting himself. Stanhope saluted and Roussell scowled. There, finally, there he found his company. Zezé, Repton and Heal were deep in discussion. Marble was fiddling with his rifle. Forjaz was trying to fend off his doting wife and children, while Ducky took a few steps and hurled his lasgun away as he always did.He gave a nod to Carson and took his place at their head. He shielded his eyes to see what their destination was, but could not make it out in the light.
‘Major Stanhope, sir! Step out of that position!’ Booth shouted at him. Stanhope turned, confused. This was where he belonged. Carson sauntered over to him.
‘That’s not your place, Stanhope,’ he said. ‘Someone’s already there.’
‘Who? I don’t see them?’ Stanhope queried.
‘Of course not.’
The orders came through to prepare to march and Stanhope found himself moving aside. ‘But I should be marching with you,’ he said. ‘You’re my men.’
‘No, major,’ Carson told him. ‘We only borrowed each other. Besides, there’s someone waiting for you.’
The order to march came and the Brimlock 11th started to move out and leave Stanhope behind. One of the troopers broke ranks, however, and came running over to him.
‘Major! Major!’ Gardner said. ‘I wanted you to meet my brother.’ Gardner held his arm out into space as though he was gripping someone around the shoulder.
‘There’s no one there,’ Stanhope told him.
‘Of course he’s there!’ Gardner laughed back. ‘He waited for me, didn’t you?’
Gardner wrestled playfully with the air for a moment and then turned away. ‘Got to be getting back, major. Come on, Trouble.’
Stanhope watched the trooper, chatting away to nothing, run back to the company.
‘Starting to figure it out, Stanhope?’ a voice said behind him.Stanhope turned around. The man Stanhope had known as Blanks was standing there. His face was the same, less the wide-eyed look that Blanks had occasionally had. His uniform was not.
‘Major,’ Blanks said.
Stanhope caught sight of his insignia.
‘Colonel,’ Stanhope replied and saluted. Blanks saluted back.
‘Do you know why now? Do you remember?’ Stanhope asked.
Blanks nodded.
‘Was it a punishment?’
‘No. It was a mercy.’ Blanks looked behind him. ‘The things I’d seen… It was His blessing.’
Stanhope nodded. Blanks glanced behind him.
‘I have to get going. My men have been waiting for me.’
Stanhope looked. ‘I don’t see them.’
‘You won’t,’ Blanks replied. ‘You don’t know them, that’s why you can’t see them.’ Blanks saluted farewell and turned crisply on his heel.```
Blanks turned back.
‘No,’ he replied. ‘We were the ones who killed him,’ and he disappeared.Stanhope looked about him, aimlessly. He should go on, but surely not alone. Then one last figure approached him from the haze. Just one at first, but then Stanhope saw the dozens arrayed in precise ranks behind him.
‘We’ve been waiting for you, sir.’
‘You’ve been waiting? All this time?’
‘Of course, sir. We are your men.’
Stanhope nodded and, unseemly as it was, could not hold back the smile. He reached down to his belt and untied his sword and then presented it.
‘I believe your word has been kept. This should be yours again.’
Sub Pagedar took it in his graceful hands and returned his major’s smile.
‘At your command, sir,’ he said.
‘Thank you,’ Stanhope agreed. ‘At my command.’
And ahead of them in the distance, Stanhope heard Private Heal strike up the song from his homeland, and he sang without restraint for the company’s colour-sergeant was not there to quiet him. And the others raised their voices with him as the Brimlock 11th marched into the Emperor’s light.```
Had to dig, but here we literally see an Guard Officer and all the men he fought with march into the Emperors light.
Including a lot of their families.
Like a lot of 40k I don't think there's any one answer.
Someone's as likely to get gobbled up by a warp predator as they are to see their friends and family and head towards the distant light.
Others might ascend to become something greater or less then they were while alive.
Bet you also didnt know that the primaris helmet has a mask over the mask. The first image is without the second mask on and the second is with the normal mask on. From looking into it, the primaris helmet can split into like 6 diffident segments.
Others dissipate into the background static or might get reincarnated.
We don't actually have any evidence that Psykers all get gobbled up. XD
It's just as likely they fall under the same options as most other souls.
Their just juicier targets and have more power.
Witchbringer literally shows us a Regiments Primary Psyker locked in the warp dealing with empreyean shit until he and the other souls are freed.
(I'd have to crack it open for more deets.)
Heck.
If you want to cross the streams.
Warhammer Fantasy Battle's warp is heavily implied to be the same Warp as 40k's. (with the same gods.)
And we KNOW Afterlives exist and the gods protect and house the souls of their faithful.
whwat in the fuck
where the fuck is that from lol
Oh
WHFRP 2e
that makes sense
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd Edition: Realms of Sorcery
mhm
Also we have the old Liber Chaotica where we get crossover stuff.
The point is that the 'Realm of Chaos' is pretty much the 40k Warp/Empreyean.
The Warp in 40k isn't nearly as survivable
you just get disintegrated if you're a normal fleshy human that gets dropped into it
unless you're in the specific pockets that are stable
which are like The Chaos Gods domains
and some other stuff
It's complicated :v
But think of it like the far north/far south are like the eye of terror.
The eye of terror isn't the warp
There is a LOT of bleed through from the warp gates into the material realm.
its just a giant warp rift
yeah
But like it isn't getting into the ocean itself
The Eye of Terror is like a place thats flooded
Yep.
idk I prefer AoS + WHFB to be more seperated from 40k personally
like ik there's bleedover
but that stuff doesn't interest me much
A lot of it is basically memes too.
It pretty much is.
Yeah
GW has been hacking all the links they made between those franchises for a while.
But my point is that we have a commonality in how the 'Warp' works.
We know from WHFB that souls can find safe harbor in the Warp/Realm of Chaos.
And we also see a lot of evidence of the same in Warhammer.
The commonality seems to be if a God or powerful being is the one doing the saving.
The statement that started this discussion was me not agreeing with the all encompassing statement that all Souls dissipate/get eaten by daemons in the warp.
Because we have lots of evidence that the opposite happens frequently.
We have human ghosts from titans to powerful and ancient ships holding onto the souls of their crew.
We have people who find safe harbor in the light of the emperor.
We have statements that some mortal souls are able to become greater or lesser then their mortal selves in the warp.
And others that they get reincarnated.
Sure.
Plenty of people do get eaten or fade into the background noise of the empyrean.
We have lots of textual evidence SHOWING that.
But we also can't discount all the evidence showing the OPPOSITE of that happening.
i feel like last wrhammer day was also chaos theemd
but pretty sure this warhamemr day is AOS chaos
heard its good
it was a very nice stream
i like the twist of fairytales
coming from a guy who loves souls games and soul likes is something you'd think fromsoft would make
It's more like having a random hole that drops down into the beach
and also the hole is getting bigger
Kinda like this
cept warpy
ooooh
discord im gonna kill you this new message side board is dog shit
huh?
anyway yeah AOS is the perfect setting for a game like that. Questor can use any weapon they have, they go on a quest even they might know
what the goal is
you can get blessings or maybe use memories for upgrades
and you have a built in respawn system
Objectively dogshit game
literally not meant for humans to play/hj
but its really fun
Heard about that
It's not well liked in the fighter community I believe
this is my other trashy fighting game
If we're talking about Guilty Pleasure Video Games.
Halo 4 and Sonic Heroes are also guilty pleasures.
its well loved
in like
the this is the worst thing ever
I love it
The game is objectively horribly balanced
and full of jank
its also obscenely strict with input timings
every character has an infinite combo as well
Similar to UMVC3 except that game is way less janky
and from a technical standpoint isn't dogshit
MVC2 is entierly reused assets lol
infinite combos in fighting games are hilarious
let no one tell you otherwise
best fighting game combo guide in the history of fighting games
So judging by this
Every fight would be decided by the first person to do an infinite combo
Gaming
where infinites are pretty easy to do
but every character in MVC2 can end the round in a single combo if you're good enough
That sounds awful
for a game that isn't full of infinites and bugs but is a dogshit fighting game for other reasons
Reminds of like western shoot out duels
"FIRST PERSON TO DO A JANKY COMBO WINS"
and since 99% of the characters
are from an anime fighter
its fucking deranged
because their movelists are almost unchanged
So basically
It's a game of Mugen
nah
I havent played mvc in a while
only tekken
Mugen is way more unhinged lol
oh ik
but Blazblue Crosstag has some deranged ass characters
Adachi in that game is the first every fighting game character I can confidently say
is a grappler, zoner, rushdown, puppet character hybrid
I never really got into fighting games
Adachi has a full screen lingering projectile
Two reasons why are:
A) Learning curve too big and I suck a lot
he has a command grab thats used as a combo starter or ender
he has a puppet
and he wants to get in your face and has the tools to do so
B) I hate remembering combos
you got it xbox?
"Yes you have to do this in a specific combination"
damn
got it on the xbox app
my favorite part of adachi is uh
the fact he can combo into his instant kill
making his supers into specials and normals in that game was a choice they certinly made
downside to playing adachi is he's an incel
Using King til the day i die
King is so fucking funny lol
I love grapplers so much
but I can't play them
I'm way too impatient
Oh i love doing his grapple so fucking much
You more of a rush down player?
Yes
They don't know how to escape his grabs
even though it's just mash 2
mm, thats a hard one, like stormcasts would be the easy call
and kruleboyz
two of my favoirte warhammer factions
I'm a slut for candy corn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f1ViE-kS2g Destiny 2 lore guy is moving to 40k lore it seems
The Lore & Story of Warhammer 40K would be nothing without the Ruinous Powers of Chaos. Within the warp, the four major gods of Chaos dwell within their realms & corrupt the Imperium of Man. Despite the Emperor of Mankind's best laid plans The gods of Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle & Slaanesh were able to corrupt one of his Primarch Sons. This led to ...
that's good, money moves
Yuh
That or I'm love your only move is hustle
I remember reading a bit from like the OG lore and it said something like Space Marines ate like a cocktail of shit mixed with other stuff and were basically Ogryn.
Is that right or am i completely misrememebring that
Thats like an old OLD novel IIRC
Guy that wrote is is apparently a lil nutty (not sure how true that is but he did write the shit drink thing)
That book is no longer canon and yes it was real. The book is called space marine and the author is Ian Watson
I wish endless universe had like, an insanely devoted lore community like other games
Jaq Draco
Hey! That's classic art!
who
Kind of reminds me of kane from C&C
I see it
Hey chat, what’s your opinion is the most over rated thing in warhammer 40k
Tyberos
Corpse starch is up there, it’s big in Necromunda lore but isn’t a thing in 40k lore
Rylanor
True and true
Hmmmmm
Black Templars
Like they're cool but
Eh
I really wanna like blood angels but they don’t really go full in on an identity
Oh also Matt Ward. Although that's more overhated.
People still hung up on him which is funny
In a sad way
It has like what, 5 sub sections besides the usually space marine stuff?
Krieg
and Space marines
Angels and Vampires?
i like marines but sometimes they are so overrated
You got the black rage guys, the golden guys, the vanilla vampire guys, the psyker guys
Since psykers are really big in BA because 1k sons gave them psyker crap
I think everyone can agree that
We need more Xenos book
Preferably with
Decent writing
Shame 90% of them are bad </3
yeah
it's almost always the imperium's POV
Eldar need a good book lol
The Aeldari when they realize that they're gonna be written by Gav Thrope:
no now enjoy your Gav Thorpe Books
If they had 1 good book I’d probably like eldar
I mean Infinite and Divine shows that people do really want well written Xenos books
You read Aos Books right
Yes
The problem is that there are few well written Xeno books
Non human books are usually really good
Gloomspite have like 3 books and 1 of them is really really bad
is this a good beginner book
Like the fucking entire Ynnari side plot basically got frozen because the books were ass
And nobody was buying them cause of that
OOOO HE WROTE CURSED CITY! Yes
AND LADY OF SORROW
AND BEASTGRAVE?!
Oh is this a short story?
I also have these
Fury of Gork is the only story I know that has an iron jaw on it so if you have some of those toss it might be
There is a story for every faction in the ‘yadda yadda and other stories’
That’s a great starting point
What factions do you wanna read?
Iron jawz
i literally have the realm gate wars copy for fury of gork
Kragnos
this?
oh yeah can you tell me about the gloom spite ones
Gloomspite = amazing 10/10 read
Bad loon rising was written by Andy Clark (bad)
i already have a audio drama for the Gargants
so the only one left are ogres
any books about them?
Oh yeah also on an off topic tangent
A lot of short stories
Alfred Pennyworth (Alan Napier) takes on the Joker himself (Cesar Romero), in one of my favorite moments from the '60s Batman TV series - specificially, season 2's "Flop Goes The Joker".
show me some
Strong bones is good
They have a lot of underworlds stories
I highly suggest just reading all the underworlds short stories they are wonderful would building
They are an antagonist of a grom book
But it’s meh
Good book for ogors but it’s a flawed series
i see
It’s about an old world dwarf
do Gargants have books?
Yesss and a good one
The only gargant content I have is an audio drama which can be fun but it's really something I hate to listen to everyone
that's the Audio Drama
well this is good aight thanks
No problem :3
i can just go ahead and read these
finally i have books collecting every single faction
for Destruction
Oh read any book about excelsis
do kruleboyz appear in Kragnos
Yes but barley, they are a major villian in dominion
i see
Oh and yndrasta
the celestial spear lady?
Us
Yes
DONT LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK
ITS A BRITISH LADY PRETENDING TO DO A NATIVE AMERICAN ACCENT
If you lived near them for long enough
The fake accent hurts a lot
WOAH CHILL
I don't like listening to audio books because my brain works off of being a violent Ork but thank you for the warning i definitely definitely will avoid that now
It’s a good story the audiobook is just hell
yeah i read mostly
i listen to very few audio stuff
Oh salamanders are overrated as shit too
A WARHAMMER FAN??
READING????
IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!
You better shut up before I punt your ass off this damn cliff
YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR INFORMATION FROM POORLY RESEARCHED TIKTOKS
AND YOUTUBE SHORT MEMES ABOUT A QUOTE OUT OF CONTEXT
what the fuck do you think i am a roman larper?
hell no
the sheep realizing that his ice cream fell off a cliff
jjahqhahjJjhahdhs
I mean technically isn't that just being an Ultramarine
Ultramarines are more pre Christian Rome
Actually I kinda wish the Ultramarines embraced the Roman aesthetic a bit more
Where the fuck are their spears?
The emperor’s spears
Who are an ultramarine successor
The funniest part is that I don't think they use spears either
But lemme double check
They do
i bet you feel dumb right now
bro your brain is cooked
Definitely
(The official kitbash guide video on the warhammer YouTube channel says to just put a sword head on a stick so you aren’t wrong)
Art goes hard as fuck though
💀
Unintentionally correct is the best kind of corre-
Also checking Lexicanium, they have no spear relics which is
Disappointing
Maybe their official rulebook has it idk
Actually you know what
That's my new headcanon
There are so few spears in the Imperium that the Emperor's Spears have to shove a power sword into a longer stick
And call it a spear
They're a one off chapter made for an ADB book.
Spears are an extremely common Astartes weapon.
Why does all the Minotaurs art look like fan art
Yep
Except for the directly pre-christain Roman inspired chapter.
My disappointment is immeasurable
And my day is rui-
Jk
I’m pretty sure even they use them
Yeah, I think it’s an HH unit
Also I genuinely can't tell if Tu'Shan(?) using a spear. The artwork is genuinely so messy that I can't tell
I mean it looks cool but I genuinely can't tell if he's using one
Either that or it's me being blind again
Guess I'll die
Sorry that’s my natural reaction to remembering salamanders have like 20 characters
For some reason
Spear looks sick tho
I always like the Salamanders flame motif
So you’re telling me you think all the salamanders look the same?
Gotta love FIREE
Oh I see, so the other chapters you don’t have an issue, but once you get to the Salamanders
Salamanders just make me have a volatile reaction
Interesting
I openly hate space wolves and black Templars
"Despite only making up only 13% of the Space Marine population, the Salamanders-"
Would you say this reaction is something you would feel if say, a Salamander cut you off on the highway
I don’t drive >:3
Probably because of fear of “Salamanders”
People who cut people off in high ways can go fuck themselves
Not wrong
Salamanders just have some of the worst lore
Next to space wolves
Fucking healing herbs nano machines
Space Wolf lore isn’t anywhere close to as bad as Salamander lore
I need to read up more on the Salamanders tbh
I know that they have some bullshit
Counter argument, wolftime
Counter argument, literally all of Salamander lore
Counter counter argument, both are bad
Every single book which is focused around them
My characters when a person wearing a straightjacket babbles actual nonsense at them:
Space Wolves have plenty of good books
Like?
Wrong fucking gif why is that there
Yeha but that involve reading a space wolf book
It helps if you’re able to read in the first place
Space wolves can’t
Unlike the Space Wolves
And neither does their players
Huh
Why do the fans of each faction line up with their faction btw
Ultramarines
Ur a weird phenomenon
Ffs I like the Tau and guess what
I am Chinese
Kinda racist ngl
You shouldn’t conform to stereotypes
Mhm
Great we got a lizard fucker in here
What?
Kroot when they see a random rotten piece of meat on the ground:
I really like westerns
That’s wrong and racist
Rotten meat doesn’t have good dna
The Kroot are genuinely interesting
I just kinda wish some of the other auxillaries had some more lore
Kroot also line up with my stellaris politics
Like they don't even need to be figures
Just some more details about them in the books would be
NICE
The original reason why I was attracted to the Tau was because I thought they were similar to the Covenant
Basically a collection of different races
Didn't get that but stayed for the cool ass mechas
...
Still would like the different races tho
Titanfall 2 communist wannabes
Oh hey, (potentially)enby guevesa diplomat
watch the Zur En Arrh Batman brave and the bold episode
”woah thsi is cool! It’s kinda cheesy but is a fun idea on a Batman story! I wonder if the new comics use zur”
checks comics
its the most dogshit plot ever
Thsi is so trash, ‘psychological back up Batman’ omfg
Why can’t we jsut have an alien Batman
yeah this supposed mortal also developed a backup brain computer just in case he gets mind control
Being an alien who just happened to be Batman is a good idea, you could be edgy because alien morals are different or something but this feels like the worst way to reintroduce a character
The wiki says the alien still exists though
antenna miissiion is whhere II learned you can hheal with ur abiility
Hey can someone @ me when they start dropping trh warhammer day stuff
Sure, should start in about an hour
The top left looks very orky
Orks, Ratling
Stormcast, Warplock Engineer, Chaos lord
Hunched posture rather muscular arm
I think the Orks has a Power fist or something
Some sorts big gun personally
Hmmmmmmm
Probably this yeah like a very big gun
But could also be a fist weapon
We shall see
Yes
I’m wondering if the new kill team is orks vs Ratlings
Would continue the specialized imperial idea
If we see Ratling as a Kill Team I'll be really surprised
Do they add new things to kill teams?
That are already released
When they're adding new models for the game i usually see them being a new group
A lot of factions end up with several Killteams
Like Drukhari have Hand of the Archon and Mandrakes
Previous Ork Killteam is Kommandos, this could be Techy Orks or something
That’s my thoughts
Rumours
And kill team is scheduled for today
Ork kill team vs Abhumans
Ohhhhhh
Maybe a more range focus one
And skaventide part 2 for AoS
The kill team of Orks is already pretty melee centered
Wonder what’ll be for legions imperialis
inb GW pulls a fast one and makes a felinid model and its just a dude with an ugly cat like face
Felinid and it's just Wolverine
@rose thorn It's starting
Is warhammer streams bad on mobile
I'm just accessing the warhammer community website on mobile and my god that s*** is ass
horus Luberical
If you guys see the ork hit me up
howd u go from a warboss to a boy
From boy to war boss you mean
Will do so
Thank you darth vader lizard homie
u were the toughest metal jaw or whatever
🫡
what ocurred for this
That's age of sigmar
Not 40k i'm currently using the title of one of my ork characters
any new books that are good lads?
ah yes a colony of twitter users fascinating creatures
Skaven vs Stormcast
Stormcast isn't really great
Oh man more of those armored generic crossbow wielding stormcast
Not like we already have like 50 of those
hunter custodes?
