whys second bros nose like squidward
yea
I raise your Shunk with a Conk
one letter and that sentence is fucked
She bonked him
nope
to sniff out good kush?
repalce the n with c
She bocked him
That is pretty sexy.
Bro's hair is fabulous
He can blow my back out.
Ironically this picture epitomises why I am ok with Marines being male only…
Some like it hot.
Why does she have a such a receding hairline?
I have long hair and you should always be mindful about how taut your hair is. Long term stress on the follicles leads to hair loss
Indeed
Besides my hair is too beautiful to let fall out
It's a common problem in places in England because it became the style to have an incredibly tight ponytail and it's basically destroyed a bunch of hairlines
I just like having long hair
Understandable
Same.
I grew it out to get closer with the cute girls during highschool. They loved braiding it and such because it was so soft. I took really good care of it then
I try to keep mine around my shoulders but I'm overdue a cut
I grew mine out when I moved away to college and my family couldn't dictate my hair length.
My hair goes to about the bottom of my sternum now
They hate it while admitting I probably have the best hair in the family.
My female relatives have been insanely jealous of how little I need to do to make my hair look better then there's.
Now days I probably am losing my hair due to the stress of my job
I wish my hair didn't grow so quick because apparently barbers i have met had said that my hair is so thick and can bundle up so tough that even electric hair clippers struggle to break them at times
Nowadays my hair isn't so hard but it's still grows way to f****** quick
My hairs extremely thick and grows pretty quickly.
You went through that too huh
Sometimes i wish i was just bald
I wonder how long until gw writers say that space marines can grow limbs back like starfish
Idk why that was the first thought that came to my head
I think theres nothing wrong with being bald as long as its like the appropriate age, when it happens early though man 💀
A mini marine with a big arm is formed from the discarded limb
Considering how your mind this as chaotic as the gloomspite gits i am not surprised with that thought
AKDHAHAHAH
From where i'm from a young kid being bald is just normal so like i don't even care my hair is annoying sometimes
“Somewhere out there, there is an evil space marine with an arm twice his size
There's a marine with a smaller the average head
A smaller marine with a huge bobble head
What if you vertically bisect a space marine though?
Then you have to be careful or they’ll grow into two marines
But I want cool augments
I'm surprised that a regenerating space marine mutant chapter isn't a thing
You know, true
Thats why half of the iron warriors is on a council for some reason
Cursed Founding chapter
They are doing mitosis
They have abnormally high regeneration
Was that the one made with every geneseed?
No
Do they regenerate it seems that they are just extra tough
Like i'm talking cut off their arm and it starts growing back
Honestly a starfish-styled regenerating chapter sounds like a funny idea for CSMs
One appears in a Deathwatch book
Him and an Iron Hand knife fight
CSM warband idea, when they regenerate their injuries is replaced with stone
He keeps regenerating the wounds super fast
Idk the extent though
Eventually he gets killed when the Iron Hand lifts him off the ground and shanks him through both hearts
You know that meme of the guy from Baki the Grappler where he's on a hospital bed and it's edited for the guy to look like a stump? That's what I'm imagining now.
Which kinda fits for their “can’t lose if their feet are in the ground” deal
Did kurzes back ever Regen?
Apparently not enough
That one chaos marine that too much of a beating in one fight
Survived head shots and back shots damn
But they are basically the only chapter that exhibited the trait right?
💀 💀 💀 💀 💀
Yes they’re a cursed founding chapter
Tbh I was just ripping off a warcry warband lmao
Shove his ass in a dreadnought
So that was part of their experiment
Dreadnought suppository
Cursed founding chapter it's a funky way of saying that we just want them to be cooler than average
Yeah generally
They often have a special deal but it comes with the cost of bad luck
There’s a reason they didn’t experiment like that again
Mutant angels aren't going to be well liked
It ain’t called cursed for no reason
Black Dragons literally getting antagonized every chance
You think that’s bad
Still amazing though that these guys can still be nice to people
The Bad Dragons chapter can’t catch a break
Shut your refrigerator shaped jawline
In everyone else’s defense
They do be a little wild
I mean it's mixing of the two things the imperium loves and eats the most to make an abomination
The angel of the emperors and mutants
On their eyes these are just mutated angels not worth the emperor's blessing
Extra stabby angels
And like a literally said they are straight up just tarkatans from mortal kombat
They can even launch their bone spikes
And wolverine too because some of these guys coat their bone blades with Adamantine
These guys are basically what if we took Tarkatans from mk combine with wolverine and make it a super soldier
I do want to make a Black dragon that is mute but he uses his bone spikes coated with andamantium and a Power Field
But i don't think power field implants for bone spikes are available in the imperium
I had someone almost pick one for a deathwatch game
We were trying to decide what we should count the spikes as for weapons
Yes so it's been an idea for my head but i've just been looking for a way to implement his bones to be still throwable after being implanted with Adamantine and powerfield
The power field i just decided to make an explanation he just has specialized gauntlets that allow him to power the blades
It's the part where how do you coat newly regrown bone blades with metal because you just decided to throw your first ones
Do i give replace one of his hearts with a liquid metal pump or what
You could do one he launches and one he has permanently “upgraded”
You know what f*** it, he decided to eat some pills that gave him super organic adamantine bones or some shit
Unironically you could just go with the base bones still too
Marine bones are super strong
Yeah but i'm planning to run a power field on his claws
Use the natural weapons trait
I'm just like making him as a character to write not to play by the way
Yeah i would just give him
Organic metal bones and gauntlets that when his bone spikes go through it gives them a power field
Simplest idea in my head and creative enough i supposed
Yeah and they’re a fairly open ended chapter anyways
We don’t have a ton on them beyond the basics
Yeah they're also fairly gigantic too
Thanks to the mutations on their bones they grow larger than your average marine
WHAT IS YOUR DUTY?
"Everyone continues to fucking laugh at our names for some reason. Yet when we ask, nobody can tell us why."
"Well what is your chapter name."
"Bad Dragons"
an attempt to contain laugher is made by the other space marine
Ain't no way that's an actual chapter 💀
You know the worst part is that Color Scheme actually isn't bad honestly
Oh good
Ngl
Imagine naming a chapter "the bad dragons"
I mean honestly you could make a legit color scheme and just call it
"Crimson Dragon"
Or
The name is the thing
Yeah that's a lot better
Who the fuck came up with the bad dragons legion anyways
ah yes
Memers
Of cohrse
The joke is the site
It's not an actual chapter
bad dragons who are led by chapter master corsehock
Y'know
It’s not real yeah
Unless if you want to make it one
What site
The sex toy site
They sell weird sex toys
Oh
Oh yeah eternal speaking of, what space marine chapters had mutations relating to their growth like the black dragons, because those guys like i said can literally grow to 9 ft
Storm Giants I think
Almost the size of a fully grown ogryn
Something like that
That's going in the book umgi
YEAAHEE
Give him the grudging stare
Okay another space marine chapter to favorite because they specialized in physical strength
Yeah
While I know the legions Idk the chapters
Theorized to be a Salamander successor
its ok theres like countless chapters
Also they're in the same founding as the Lamenters
The cursed founding
and they kind of blend together after a while
Tbh I headcanon them as friends honestly
I can imagine them being allies
Because
Yeah bro it's crazy
like angels vermillion
A) One has bad luck, the other is cursed/blessed with mutations.
Fucking what now
its just a blood angels chapter

Gore Golems gang rise up
Crimson fists and raptors my beloveds
I like the marines malevolent
B) It would also be funny to have the Inquisition be even more sus that the Lamenters are friends with the Black Dragons.
Which would make them hate it even more
That’s their thing
Obviously they're salamanders
Oh
Since the Lamenters are literally cursed with like
Like stronger than your usual green boi?
"Oh we're going to do this well meaning action!"
"THEY FUCKING DISRESPECTED US. THE FUCKING NERDS"
My favorite old Rogue Trader line is about how there’s “vicious rumors” about the Flesh Eaters chapter eating people

Such a badass name for a chapter with less lore then a random insect i can find in the kitchen
Flesh eaters?
These mfs loyalist?
Space Marines casually popping pieces of brain into their mouths:
I would listen a literal course on how the stomach is directly linked to the brain ngl
Also fun fact about their brain eating
They rarely do it to Xenos because whenever they do relive the memories
They actually y'know RELIVE THEM AS IF THEY ARE THE PERSON
Including their unique senses, their lives
The complications of it all
And of course. The feelings they get when they die
The Flesh Eaters and Blood Drinkers are basically known to be super chill and respected
Imagine a space marine starts empathising with a tau
My bad
Another fun fact.
Dante doesn't actually hate xenos
He still kills them
Sympathy
Ofc
Who's dante again
blood angels guy
I know the blood drinkers
The flesh eaters sound incredibly chaos for some reason
Loses it's effectiveness
Many of the more violent and "disgusting" chapters are often the more chill ones tbh
A constant theme
Something something""hurr dre don't judge a book by it's cover"
blood angels had a very bloody upbringing before sanguinius
There is recent fanart of Leman and Magnus actually switching planets
so its not unexpected
Leman the NERD
The art is actually pretty sick
Bro this is too ironic
I can imagine swapped Leman being more like Odin
Poetic actually
Yeah lemme share some of the art it actually looks pretty cool
Give me a sec
Leman Russ, Primarch of the Thousand Sons
And Magnus, Primarch of the Space Wolves
Wow they went full Egyptian
Bro why is this so cool
This looks kinda better wtf
Art by u/Wolfdawgartcorner
I'm actually fine with wolf magnus
Wolfdawg usually makes some good shit
Wow Fox marines are. A lot cooler then I expected
Of course don't forget Space Wolf Ahriman
does he turn the space wolves into dust too
I love the wolf helmets only when they're used for their psykers
Ahriman rocks that shit
instead of mutations, the rubric fixes the wulfen curse
"All is kibble"
So magnus is loyalist this time?
Yeah Wolfdawg makes some cool shit
I mean who doesn't like some Weeb mixed with Egyptian

To be honest I did have the idea of Ork Samurai tho
Idk it makes sense
Also it would be funny
And also got inspired by this funny fucking video
Holding the sword the wrong way
Oim da biggest wagh daimio
A weeb Ork would be unstoppable. He’d unsheathe his Damascus steel choppa which has been folded over 1000 times, be all like “Heh, nuffin perzonnel, git…”, then teleport behind you and krump ya real good. Let us thank the Emperor that Shonen anime is unavailable on Ork television or we’d all be doomed.
Ork Samurai by mcat1990:
https://www.redd...
Idk what would be scarier
Having an Ork do fucking anime level sword moves
Or having an Ork bash people with a body pillow

that ork is based
The ork degeneracy is crazy
Question
How can custodians move at Anime protagonist speed
When they are much larger than usual marines
They’re built better(literally)
Gene alchemy is much more complex and high quality then how marines are made
They're just built different got it
Nah space marines can move as fast as a car without power armor
In AMERICAN units space marines can go like 35-40 MPH
America has cars too, you know
well yeah, i just assumed that the original message was about space marines in power armour
cause then they don't really look to agile
outside the armor they look more agile
But since the armor is wired directly into their nervous system and moves in sync with their body, they are even faster in armor than outside
i wouldn't go to that extent
they still suck at stuff like swimming
but the armour doesn't impede them at all
Well sure but that's because they weigh a literal ton
power armor acts as a second skin due to the carapace
A regular person wearing power armor does look rather ponderous and clunky
A space marine does not
wdym a normal person in term armor looks great
jesus
where's the edit of their actual frame drawn on top of the armor
I think the inquisitions power armor looks really good
Shoulders up over their heads
the drip
I know that guy
a very jolly fellow
Always thought he had an open mind
I think the ordo malleus use power armor the most but all the ordos do
every time I see a OM inky they always have power armor
Malleus is grey knights too, right?
Same. I don't think I have ever seen one not in power armor
I mean the human sized power armour inquisitors use is literally called malleus power armor
You can see her getting in it aswell. Doesn’t do much to help
Honestly that comic run
Is so much of “something”
Are space marine scout minis (the new ons) the same size as normal primaris?
I mean Malleus mfs have to deal with Daemons
Gotta have good shit against them
And subtlety is often thrown out the window when dealing with Chaos cults and stuff anyways
Ironically
This was the Dark angels comic, yeah?
Mhm
Yeah, doesn't help her much.
Might as well have been a 40K comic in general tho, with so many damn factions in it
Right? I think everything except Orks and tyrannids made an appearance
And then they disappear
Shorter. Scout marines aren’t really first born or primaris since they don’t have a couple organs yet
Including the primaris ones
Yeah, but is this the same with models?
Ye
Always been a bit confused by scout marines
Are they small space Marines, physically the same except not implanted with the black carapace?
Can see it best with the templars, tho I think the neophytes are a bit bigger than normal scouts
Just a bit shorter than normal marines
They should probably be wearing helmets
They’re in the middle of becoming a space marine
I know that much, it's just that so many depictions differ on what exactly that means
Yeah
I always thought it was space marines without the black carapace
But it could be explained with "it varies chapter to chapter"
Shorter, they aren't in PA
Not to be confused with Reivers
who are basically scouts
but got power armor and black carapace
Reivers are in power armor
Same.
Ok took me a sec to find it
But I recommend going by the Calgar way
Cause it’s the most in depth I’ve seen
The Calgar comic in general is really great too
The recruit training part is so fucking funny I love it
kids crawling under barbwire while some wolves maul another child in the background
Wasn't the Calgar comic where Calgar revealed he wasn't actually Calgar?
at this point Calgar is the real Calgar
Who was going to be an aspirant
Its a bit stupid but like
i get why they did it
Calgar is a boring character
id have tried something similiar if i was in that position lol
Are you even Dilara
Yeah basically
He was friends with the son of minor noble family
I recall being confused by the choice, as it didn't seem to add much. Like, everything he did he still did.
It's just now the name we know him by isn't the one he was born with.
Like, it's a fight club ending without everything that happened to set it up.
Well yeah because it doesnt add anything.
It doesn’t really matter much it’s more his origins were he came from nothing
He still made the name what it was, it didn’t matter before then
My point is that it doesn't matter, so why write that in?
It basically just let him get in the door to even trying
Because it’s just a wrinkle and it added to the place the story took place at
The significance was he had “returned home”
Seems like lazy writing
Well yeah it is
but again they had to add something
this is the CALGAR ORIGIN comic
It works fine in the comic
I’d recommend reading it, it’s very well done
It’s a simple concept but it’s got some good writing
I never really understood the obsession with origin stories
Lots of dry humor too
We need origin comics for every major characters. And more novels. With Primarchs. And phases
Some fans like it
its a mostly safe space to explore
etc etc etc
The point of the comic was to introduce people to 40k
Giving Calgar an origin lets them explain 40k more
Because it explains how he grew up and the aspirant process
Like, you know how it ends. The only value is in the journey but if that journey is boring, then why bother?
Are there any good chaos vs chaos things
The aspirant process varies with chapters though
They had to make the comic for me than just existing fans
That largely depends, like this comic is very much just "Okay" but when its written well it can be really good, its why some origin material in fiction ends up being super praised.
Sure but the general idea is similar
Talon of Horus talks about how the Black legion was formed
Yea
Like yes if I explain the plot it can seem bland but that’s most plots
The writing and characters make it
There’s a lot of great movies and whatever where if you break it down it’s boring
Characters that do a switcheroo at the end to no real effect
Or if you summarize it
Also idk it might not be for you
I enjoyed it and I’ve generally seen positive responses when I recommend it
Like: Aha didn't expect that did you?
Not really, no
I'd recommend it for the Young Calgar stuff
It’s not meant to be a big twist
the modern day timeskip stuff is very boring
just open ComicOnline and give it a look
It’s similar to the Vader comics to me
will maybe take 20-30m of your time max
It’s like, the main story is fine but it’s got good dialogue
And some neat concepts
Also surprisingly good humor
I just hate reading things only for it to wind up being a waste of time. It happens so much with 40k
It’s a very short comic
It's cool to see a scout though, scouts get almost no love even though it's arguably the peak "adventure story" phase for a space marine
We need a story like that Vader yandere one with a Chapter Master instead
That shit was wild
The scout stuff might make it worth it though
It was SO fucking great
i respect that they did some shit like that for a callout
lmao
Such a random idea I love it
I can’t imagine the pitch for that
Same, it was 100% done to like mock those kinds of people and I love it
which is even weirder lol
PEAK
Oh the Vader fan girl that stalks him and insists they're in love
Yeah that one lmfao
Yea she obesesses over him and thinks hes leaving stuff for her
That one made me chuckle
And loves her
And then that happens
"Who the fuck-"
She has a shrine to him
His expression is so good
Why is she dressed like a soccer mom
Of leftover battle damaged stuff he "left" for her.
Her fantasizing Vader killing her annoying superior officer was fucking destroying me
GOD THE FACE
He literally, just woke up
In the fucking padme outfit
I'd probably just stab her too
Like, I haven't even had coffee yet lady
I am not dealing with this.
Do yous want to hear the controversy over this comic?
Also to be clear this comic was between this one
And this one
Like the comics are all Vader doing wild shit, his origins, very serious and dark.
Controversy?
And then randomly theres this random lady.
What like, violence against women is bad or some such?
People felt bad for her and some stupid shit idk.
It was lame whatever it was.
Cuz, I mean it is but he's a genocidal monster and she's crazy as hell. So.
Also I realize I used a meme page for the top comic just now
The original idea for the comic was came up with by another writer, they wrote the comic with a male engineer being a Vader fanboy, the writer was told it was an awful idea and they got rid of them, then they redid the comic with a woman instead.
The guy was also in love with him
Same story just a gender swap?
Darth Gaydar
Yea
I’m sure if they made it a gay guy people would have been mad cause Vader is killing the gays
Didn't he do a genocide
Well I dunno if it was explicitly love, but it was someone obsessed with Vader
So... Is it that killing a gay stalker is bad or are we just not allowed to show gay stalking but if it's a girl then fine?
The concern apparently was that they didn't want to alienate their male fans by having Vader kill a male fanboy
So he kills a fangirl instead
I know someone had an issue cause “violence against women”
Done by the villain
Whose killed children
That's... Dumb as hell
I’m sure some dumbass would have been mad about him killing a gay guy
I'm just mad that people keep paying to consume star wars stuff
They're in too deep. Sunken cost fallacy is a bitch
Andor good
Is the remaster still happening?
I know about the remaster.
I thought that died
It's just been years
Oh
No ones ever really gone
And well... Disney
The only thing I care about Star Wars is that the ending battle from The Northman is a Star Wars allusion
What? No way.
Except they're naked vikings
Yeah no it's very explicitly the volcano thing except they're naked
Oh the fight between Anakin and obi wan?
I guess if that's who they were
That's a pretty sick sequence, a good thing to copy from
Yeah
Basically one of the best choreographed fights in all of star wars
Wouldn't know
listen acolyte had a bunch of problems but man the lightsaber fights were pretty good
An idea I've been floating around for years is writing a Star Wars fanfic based entirely off what my perception of Star Wars is via osmosis
That's fair. I only know that because of my interest in fencing and I've seen people discuss it
That's pretty interesting. Star wars is a cultural touchstone. There are people who know what Vader looks like without ever seeing a single movie
Like even with the obvious CGI
The fight is so well choreographed and dramatic that it's genuinely the best part
Even though the Prequels are flawed
Heavily, heavily flawed
That fight genuinely made me forget the flaws for a moment
To yap poetic for a bit
It basically reminds you what the prequels were meant to be
A tragedy of a fallen hero
The Hero that has enslaved himself to the dark forces. With his confidence and worry as his collar of slavery.
Against his brother, his master, somebody who has tried to take care of him for years
Yeah, that
Oh yeah also George Lucas actually wanted to cut some of the fight out and speed it up
That tracks
But Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor practiced so much and so many times the movements are without any speed up techniques
So he decided to let it stay
I recently watched episode 1 again and... I did not realize the race coding was that intense god damn
The podracing scene is still cool as fuck
But episode 1 and episode 2 are
uhhhhhhh
eeehhhh
bad
hilariously so at points
but bad
Anakin's cheesy line from Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones
Padme looks like she's on the verge of panic any time Anakin talks to her
Padme taking Anakin to the Royal seduction chamber and wearing her sexiest outfit to tell him that they couldn't bang was a power move.
I'll say it, there hasn't been a particularly good start wars movie since the 70s
There have been good comics
Actually even Disney made some really good ones
Again, I fucking love the Darth Vader comic series
The comics are diff
Wait no- ack
Oh and of course the Clone Wars shows. Both versions
That is certainly a statement
Like of all the statements, that's one of them
Why is there a royal seduction chamber
The comics are good.
naboo is freaky like that
For telling people you can't have sex with them
For royal rejection. The name is misleading on purpose
Do people canonically bang in star wars
Yall seen some of Padme's dresses????
kylo exists so yeah

George Lucas does not strike me as a man who knows where babies come from
fucking FREAKY
Just to clarify do you just not know when the movies came out or are you claiming that New Hope is the only good Star Wars movie?
Well, the main hero of the setting is the son of the main villain, so yeah
Because New Hope is the only one that came out in the 70s
also Strawberry jokes but like
WASNT THERE A FUCKING PAGE ON THE WIKI FOR "SEX" 💀
Again, Finn was an interesting character. And I genuinely believe that if it was better written, he would've been one of the most famous Star Wars side characters tbh
My fav part of new star wars is people pretending that disney has added a bunch of things that "make the setting worse" when that stuff has always been there
OH MY GOD
noOOOOOOO
LMAO
REPRODUCTION
I'm also not joking. I never would have imagined the topic would be broached in star wars
LOOK ABOVE THEN
Wtf does Jabba the Hut even do with all of those slaves tbh
Reproduction was the biological or artificial process in which new organisms were produced from one or more parent organisms. Sex was an activity that could result in procreation. Individuals from different genetically compatible species could potentially conceive a hybrid.
stop THIS
glub shitto of sex
why is this a page
Like are then even biologically capable enough to even be pleasured?
A major plot point is that Anakin wants to bang but isn't allowed to because of the Jedi code
Many species in the galaxy produced new offspring through sexual reproduction,[2] the mating of parent organisms with compatible genetic material.[3] Other methods of combining sperm with an ovum could also produce a new life form.[4] In most mammals, the offspring would then gestate in the mother's womb until birth.[5] Some species were capable of producing hybrid offspring with other species, such as Human-Zabrak[6] or Borneck-Etti pairings.[7]
I like how this link implies sex is a legend
I said what I said, but got the titles mixed up
💀
Legend refers to Pre-Disney canon
So you're saying that New Hope is the only good Star Wars movie?
needs to be in broken latin and have too many words to describe taking off clothes
We are not hearing about the Tau "can you have sex" test
That's the fanfic section
Wait they have those
This is unironically my utopian fantasy
That
Yes but that's not what I meant to say.
actually maks a lot of sense
your genetics get tested
I'm surprised 40k doesn't have anything like the Qun does in terms of reproduction
Tau society has eugenics
I guess Tau might
Tau women prefer human men, that's just how it is
There's the 40k I know and love
you're either allowed to reproduce or you're not
I don't know much about their reproductive lore
and then if you want to have kids/be in a family with someone
you have to ask as well
and it'll either get approved or denyed
then you get to have kids/a family lol
Oh now I was thinking like a written quiz to get a license to make skin contact with someone
Honestly for a sec I thought it was a like dating thing
But yeah that is
weird
Because with the Qun you're allowed to fall in love and marry whoever you want, but you're only allowed to have kids with whoever the government tells you too.
Imagine having to walk to your local government building
"you need to disrobe her and behold her IMPERIALIUS DOMES"
I meant the force strikes back, got the date for a new hope. I'm dumb
"CAN I BANG HER. MY GENES ARE GOOD PROMISe."
The Qunari are some of the best parts of dragon age
I hope we see more of them in DA4
But Tau are the good guys gais
Ik this sounds weird but do Tau allow Gay people?
for tau(the race)
there's no point in that
you have a family to have kids
in tau society
They probably can't get married
Hopefully we will, Tevinter is the closest we've been to Par Vollen so far, so probably
You aren't going to get CIA watercasted
"Dammit, we can't get the tax benefits"
and given a "vacation"
and Seheron is just off the coast of Tevinter and it's got Qunari
god the look of Minrathous looks so good
no wonder dorian fucking hated the south
But if you have a "family" in tau society its for having children

Etherals/earth caste run a pretty tight eugenics program
lol
its kind of insane lol
But otherwise, I imagine it's fine. Unless there is a serious social stigma against same sex couples in the inter-species solar empire
you go from magic powered electricity and working infrastructure to just dirt and more dirt
Which I sort of doubt.
Honestly now I really want to write a fanfic where it's just a Gue'la and a Tau living together as roommates
In a Tau controlled planet
My Gue Roommate
I'm pretty sure they're heavily segregated
One thing I will say about the new Dragon Age is that the picking a starting faction idea is cool, but none of the factions they've shown really interest me all that much.
Imagine going from this to fucking fereldan 💀
There's a new dragon age?
yeah next month I think
Yea it's coming out like in a couple of weeks
Again?
the only problem I have with it so far is the party limit and the ||darkspawn|| design
I mean other alien species are treated as second class citizens
There is nothing saying that they can't live together tho
Dragon age 2 killed my love for the series
Farsight went heavt on the segregation at least
Inquisition is golden
Never even played 3. Just couldn't do it.
Oh the magic as the neon is cool as shit lol
Oh no, Inquisition slander
Farsight literally said "I don't even want you fuckers on the same planet"
Separate but equal, I'm sure
I will say, if you haven't played Inquisition you probably won't understand the new one
2 You can kinda skip, but the game kinda directly carrys over from Inquisition
yeah the city looks great in the gameplay as well
If the new one is good enough, I'll buy number 3 just to understand it better
looks 3000x better than the reveal trailer
I'm kind of annoyed that we're playing in Tevinter and I don't get the option of being a Magister
But number 2 broke my heart
and
It took a long time to recover
Like this is the first game we can't be a Noble
Uh oh. Already looking not good
How am I supposed to sneer at the commoners now
Gonna go grey warden my first playthrough
I've no clue what faction I'll pick first
Holy spelling mistakes batman
Also I wonder how the Tau would deal with say
Conquering a Hive world
I might pick Wardens because the other factions I either don't care about or actively dislike
How tf would they manage the downright
Archaic technology and gigantic labyrinthian structure
The Imperium doesn't even manage it. Especially the lower levels
They would convert and reintegrate the native population into the fucking ground.
the only faction I hate is the crows since they've been a pain in my ass for multiple games
An ullanor level restructuring of the planet
Just feels like such a wasted opportunity to not have a Tevinter noble option, it could have had such great party conflict with some of the other characters
Yeah honestly I would imagine they would go around and basically just tell everyone to move out
And anybody who doesn't uh
doesn't
Look, lower hive gangs are complete savages
They aren't gonna destroy the place but they aren't gonna maintain it either
yup only like
upper hives honestly
Also would imagine they would execute any nobles that don't jive
Hive nobility is like European nobility: inbred.
Definitely won't get a permit for marriage
Honestly, probably one of the few times where their eugenic policies actually make sense
Have you seen how some of the nobles look
I have
god I think the average hive resident would make a tau doctor die on the spot
I imagine the Tau would treat the Nobles as a challenge like how dog breeders are trying to undo the genetic problems with purebreds
"Okay so you have Trench foot, cold, flu, rabies, HIV, AIDS, several different types of cancers..."
"How are you still alive?'
"MY FAITH"
I appreciate how optimistic the Tau are. It's refreshing.
Trying to unravel the genetic gordian incest knot
Looking at the Ptolemaic dynasty be like
Tau Diplomat: Lord Alexandrius Cruellian, what is in your mouth?
Lord Alexandrius: ... my cousin
Tah Diplomat: * slaps with newspaper *
It's so bad
Yea and they're also notable in that they had surprisingly few genetic issues considering how badly they interbred.
I'm too scared to look at the Habsburg tree
They did much less incest, but had so much worse effects
Basically the Tau conquering an Imperium world is the definition of
"Damn bitch you live like this?"
I like how in Cleopatra IV's generation literally every sibling married the other
Very poetic
Was it consecutive or simultaneous
Also naming all your daughters Cleopatra and all your sons Ptolemy is a power move
Yes this is the Artist trying to make him
Fuck, that one got me good job
As good looking but as faithful as possible
need to invent time travel just to snap a photo of charles
Apparently Charles body was a fucking disaster according to the autopsy
a century of incest will do that to ya
Excerpt from his Autopsy records: "heart was the size of a peppercorn; his lungs corroded; his intestines rotten and gangrenous; he had a single testicle, black as coal, and his head was full of water."
For the longest time I thought the Chad face was like, a recoloring of Charles II.
lmao
I was wrong, sadly
"Astounded Christiandom by continuing to live" is a quote from the time
His bloodline was pure
Given that it has become an actual line.
Honestly that quote out of context is kinda fire
Literally defying god by living
Unfortunately God probably had the best intentions for Charles lmao

Or maybe the worst by letting him live
There's a theory that the Targaryen Dynasty from GoT are based in part off the Ptolymey dynasty with how they regularly married siblings and seemingly only rarely suffered effects from it
I like how we posted two horrible families trees and of the two of them, the world's most attractive woman came from the bloodline that's basically an ouroboros and a human pug who can only live to spite the concept of death came from like, 8 people failing to understand how genetics work
"Imperial nobles continue to astound the Tau understanding of the robust nature of the human genome."
They made the perfect human, what can we say
I think there are only two fields in which the Imperium are more advanced than the Tau
Medical and Gene research
well it's theorized that cleo wasn't super physically attractive and just average, but like her charm and intellect is what made her attractive to men at the time
Well there was the pyrophilia and mental instability
The thing with Incest is it amplifies the negative genetic traits, so if there aren't any of those underlying issues they won't get worse. So the assumption with the Ptolymey dynasty is that they were just very lucky and didn't have any major genetic issues to get worse.
It's unsure if that's related to the Incest of due to ancient blood rituals
Oh we're talking about Cleopatra?
Yeah, people specifically said that her charm and wit out did her physical appearance
Reading between the lines a bit: she was either average looking or kind of ugly
Cleo probably looked
Okay
At least for the time

Beauty standards have actually heightened throughout the years
So what would be average in her age
Probably would be fuck ugly for us honestly
We would look very odd to them
Because we don't start to really see the effects of Targaryen madness or pyromania until after they lose the Dragons, with it being implied that Ancient Targs made a blood ritual that bound themselves to the Dragons and in doing so sacraficed part of themselves, so with the dragons now being extinct some Targs are literally missing part of their soul and succumb to madness without the Dragons.
In fairness, I never read the books so I'll have to defer to your expertise. I sort of just thought a Targaryen fucked a dragon somewhere and it's been the world's problem ever since
It's a lot of alluded imagery and shit
Several of the notable Targaryen arson incidents were pretty explicitly attempts to hatch dragon eggs
It's definitely a dragon thing
They could also be mentally unstable. Those two aren't mutually exclusive
Oh no they're fucking nuts
do you think it's a Targaryen thing or like a Valyrian thing
when it comes to dragon obsession
Yea, plus it's implied that the Targaryens themselves are part Dragon, because when their babies are stillborn or born prematurely they come out scaled with wings and spikes. So there's a theory that they have those features in the womb, but lose them as they develop and are eventually born.
Probably High Valyrian in general
Well the Dragonriders
I mean Targaryens are literal descendants of dragons, that was part of their blood magic
They did sacrifices to make humans mate with dragons
So I was sort of right? Neat
We don’t know if thats true
Valyrions and Celtigar for example are High Valyrian Houses who aren't descended from Dragon Riders in Valyria so they didn't have Dragon Blood "originally"
But we know they did something
The Valyrians were all obsessed with dragons, but I think the Targaryens are the only ones who are likely literal descendants of them
They now arguably do due to intermarrying with Targaryen though
Targaryen’s are descendants of dragon riders yeah
We don’t know a ton about Old Valyria
Yea we've never had a POV of Valyria like that
Because the writer won't finish the god-damned books
So all the information we have is through the lens of historians generations later
Even if he does finish the main books the Doom of Valyria was hundreds of years before the events so probably wouldn't be covered much
Might even be a 1000 years
Anyway Ser Pounce remains Azor Ahai in my heart
I dunno
I still remember how quickly GoT went from being a cultural touchstone to a disappointment so powerful it caused the Star Wars sequel trilogy to shift
I wouldn't be shocked if when Martin dies and his notes are released there's just a long section where Euron Greyjoy explains everything about Valyria and never says how he knows this
I have a pet theory despite never watching or reading GoT
The show ending is actually him testing how he wants to end the novels
Na
He actually seems pretty happy with the ending, sadly
Popular theory among people who haven't read the books, but it doesn't really align
I want him to copy the show for the ending
We've talked about it before but even if that is the idea for the ending, the books are already so different that it would still be different
I know they went in very different directions but not how different those directions are
I'm a Dany simp though. She's just such a scumbag, I love her.
Yea it's the execution
The core concept isn't bad though.
They just fucked up the ending with the execution
My theory is Dany is gonna go on and lose a bunch of people fighting the Long Night like in the show, and that will drive her mad when she comes back and Aegon is the one everyone wants.
I get the lesson, I can see the build up to it but just
the ending wasn't bad it was just how the manga handled it
The execution was so bad
Yea, Young Griff will likely have a massive impact on Dany
I love you bronn
and he wasn't in the show
Also whats his name is gonna warg a dragon.
Cause why the fuck wouldn't you do that.
Warg?
You might not be able to
Taking over it's mind and controlling it
Mind control
Dragons are very high level magic
Works on animals
Oh right
And very intelligent
The cripple
They're animals, but not normal animals
Who cares its cool and he's the chosen one bullshit
You're not supposed to be able to Warg a human either, soooo
He's warged people anyways iirc.
Remember that time he traumatized and mind broke an innocent man so that he would sacrifice himself years later?
I mean tbf he didn't mean to.
Yea he Wargs Hodor in the books as well and the books also touch on how horrifying it is
Oh that makes it fine, then
Bran deserved everything that happened to him. I will not take questions.
I mean no but it wasn't exactly something he had a choice over.
Like Hodor hates everytime he does it and Brann can feel that he wants him to stop, but he keeps doing it anyway
Its not even close to the top 100 worst things someone does in those books.
That's an active choice
I mainly upset the next book isn't coming out anytime soon purely because I'm pretty sure Euron is going to do Valyrian blood magic, which would be dope
Also, the point of Brann in the books is he's kinda at a crossroads of abusing his power and losing himself to it.
Especially because he can't walk.
They should throw him out another window
