A friend asked me and one other person the other day if we found the Space Marines in SM2 to be lore accurate. It was a resounding "no."
It's a great game though don't get me wrong. We just said that the space marines are canonically a lot faster able to run at least 35 mph; and generally speaking, Primaris marines are larger than their first born brothers which means they're also supposed to be larger than the Chaos Space Marines.
I'm 95% sure this is accurate, but want to sanity check here.
