Nit sayin he can survive that but I'm just saying
No arms and a leg is just insane
He killed a titan or whatever as well
Kinda sick feat foe a space marine
Exactly
every time I hear the word souls in relation to necrons, I always think of szeras and him having a nerd emoji moment
This clip is from "Pariah Nexus"
Original description:
I do not know where this is from
Bro is a fucking nerd and I love him
"Lord Szeras, if you may allow me… our actual, real souls were eaten by literal ancient sun gods."
Well what the fuck is the scientific terminology for a soul then you fuckin idiot
life energy?
yeah I think he says "life essence"
which
is worse
but him being in mega denial fits him since he helped create the biotransference machines iirc
yeah he did
Just imagine calgar loses the other leg and his other eye
Feel like he'll still find a way to be badass

Lads! Imperium finance update
We've just reached the 930 million point
I'm working hard for dis
Other than angron and fulgrim is there any other primarch daemon that's still alive
mortarion, magnus, perty, and lorgar
Only one that are dead a Horus, Alpharius (not Omegon) and Kurze
I think omegon is like the only traitor primarch we have nothing for after the heresy right?
like we know about perty if very little
Daemon Primarchs alive: Angron, Fulgrim, Mortarion, Magnus, Perturabo, Lorgar
Omegon is alive
but uh

Omegon we know nothing about
Who the fuck knows what he's doing
Bet he doesn't even know
there's a false record about omegon dying to Guilliman
Y'know honestly I find it funny when that Peasant got shocked that Gulliman said there were 20 primarchs
in orbit of Ultramar
Which even Guilliman is weirded out about
yeah
"where are my 10 brothers?"
Like
no one knows where the fuck the record game from
The Ultramarines don't have a record of it
their second founding sucessors don't
like ????
Imagine if Omegon is just working in the Record keeping facilities
I am half convinced that Omegon put it there as a prank tbh
It would be funny if Omegon wasn't even that
Not even part of the Administratum, just working in the private sector
he himself put that record there just to have an opportunity to say "the rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated"
Like he's just a farmer now
He's just in some random Agri world
Farming
Collecting wheat
Honestly it would be funny if a Primarch legitimately just decided to quit
Like all the others at least have some type of excuse.
Cruze moment
Khan is also probably just somewhere having some porridge in a cottage without a care in the world
Nah, Khan is doing hyper speed racing in Commorragh
Khans reason for disappearance was probably the most disappointing to me
Must be just wandering like alpharius
he's just been sitting in it reading
It would be funny if Khan is just wandering in the Webway
With no idea where the fuck he is
Erebus sorry
He's basically just a cryptid for the Drukhari
Khan on the right
Also y'all ever think the Alpha Legion will ever be demystified
Drukharii "He became so fast, he look like he is keeping still"
Khan wake up from his nap, turn a page slowly
theres nothing mystifying about them
they are traitors lmao
ok so question, is there any info on the sorcerer BBG in SM2's past with Calgar?
BBG?
big bad guy
Not before this I don’t think
Presumably he was part of a boy band at some point and fell to Tzeentch
so its literally the Thanos "i dont even know who you are" meme
But we can’t be sure
Calgar is Thanos in this instance
He was definitely the fourth member of the band who you always forget their name and face though
Basically yeah
hes just a throwaway villain
like every 40k story
its funny they made his beef with Calgar and not Titus
Yeah its so out of nowhere too lol
guy is monologuing about that nonsense like anyone cares
By ranking by personality Grimskull still has the most character in the space marine games
Grimskull is indeed still peak
Yes he is
thats why i called him the BBG, dude is literally just an early DM's attempt at a main villain
yeah i didnt know the synonym lol
but also thats a pretty good breakdown of it yeah
He’s a hammy dude
Definitely a closet EC
With how much he goes on about dance metaphors
And perfection
Idk which is more common
The Chaos BBG monologuing
Or an Aeldari Eldar insulting their allies
Yes.
this is like asking "Can space marines have an interaction that isnt like a brick wall gaining sentience"
C. Bolters barking
D. Wet leopard growl
Smell of ozone
"No."
the sound mixing being so bad actually made the monologs funny, "sorry what was that? cant hear you over the sound of my heavy bolt gun"
they also put his big wordy lines over like the most locked-in-required combat segments lol
Tbf idk what else you’re supposed to say to most of those monologues
nothing
Just like
Honestly I think it's on purpose tbh
To be fair not even bolter
they literally do the Luke Skywalker routine
"I WILL NEVER JOIN YOU"
"YOU ARE A HERETIC"
like yes we get it
Titus: “I feel like you’re feeling like we’re having a back and forth here when we’re not.”
to be fair they also are
Imurah literally goes
"Ah finally, you agree on some shit i said for once"
lol
Honestly it would be funnier if Titus just eventually said
"SHUT THE FUCK UP"
Honestly I wonder if like
Psychic monologues can backfire
Like you intentionally think of the most disturbing shit just to get them out of your head
Imagine a villain being so petty he just locks you in and keeps monologing anyway
"Ah shit a Psyker is trying to read my mind.
Better grab my memory of watching one man one jar-"
Titus when he realizes that he wasn’t gonna get to just fight the one enemy who don’t endlessly monologue at him
"Great Wolf of the Clan Wolf riding their Thunderwolf did a Wet Leopard Growl before charging towards their enemies. Bolters barking as the battlefield filled with the smell of Ozone."
“Emperor why couldn’t that Carnifex have showed up a little earlier.”
What else should I add to this

There was a great monologue someone wrote of all the 40k tropes on Reddit
Lemme try and find it
the worst part is this is one of the rare cases in lore where this is never exaggerated.
like even space wolf fans are depressed about it but they are space wolf fans so i cant extend sympathies too much
🗿
Hmm
Should I add "Primarch-esque feat" to it

Being a space wolf fan is the equivalent of being british in real life
Cannot find it
Found this comment by a random Reddit user instead
"I'm tired of all the tropes that don't involve rats.
GW should fix this by giving us more rat-related tropes in 40k."
Skaven are 100% the most fun thing GW has ever made imo
Like if you had to pick a single thing
I think it has to be Skaven
Like just fun factor
With the second I think being Necrons
Space robot skeleton pharoahs
And then probably Nurgle
At least for me
As much as I love Nurgle
I think Necrons are more “fun”
Skaven not being able to instantly kill half their army in total war by getting unlucky
Makes them automatically lamer in that game
Ikitt can
if you misclick the doom rocket
You’re not being unlucky with ikit
Who knew an army that relied on rng to be balanced isn't balanced without rng
true
This is why i love Thanquol every time, like
He is surprisingly good at making plans but because of his own incompetence and well stupidity he gets everything to blow up very badly of course his minions as well
if total war had misfires it would both enchance and downgrade the gameplay
If only skaven had
Do you have any idea how painful it is to try to come up to their gunline as an orc player
Very f****** painful
I don't care how strong my melee are with my monsters and black orcs by the time i get in the lines very few would have survived
It would enhance gameplay because skaven wouldn’t be boring as shit
And you just spam skryre tech
given how unreliable black powder is every faction that uses it would have to deal with misfires/random explosions
Skaven are so goddamn boring when played at its “best”
Man i sure love spamming mortar teams and just watching the enemy evaporate
And not be able to fight back
Yeah like ikit is still to this day one of the most op warhammer total war lords
Oh it’s funny
It just gets boring after a while
He gives his guns extra stuff
And watch as his entire f****** gun line evaporates the entire f****** enemy
I love it it but i do not want to fight him every time i play campaign because he will just f****** throw a doom rocket at me
That's why i play grimgor and stay f****** far away from him
Honestly though i feel like only the skaven is the one that works with their implemented weakness
I like taurox but if playing him will cause me to accidentally die with a well placed arrow hit i may as well throw myself in a woodchipper
I personally prefer Taurox, just bulldoze the entire world in a single turn, alone
The SM2 Chaos marine VAs sounded exactly like something and i have just now put my finger on it. They sound like Transformers Decepticons lol
i play Grimgor and a minotaur doomstack is my fav but it's no fun to die in one hit
accidentally
so i'm glad they didn't give him a weakness
I really like all of the Chaos voices, except Alpha Legion, which is the one I play the most 😩
some of them are very familiar though, imperium included
SM2 for me was pretty fun, well mostly because it delivers exactly what I'd expect as a 40K fan, my only issues with it was some parts of combat design and AI.
Me when I say design and not difficulty.
Better learn to dark souls roll spam
But yeah the game is good, just has a lot of glaring issues that are kind of being entirely covered up because the hype around this game is legit getting crazy lol
ugh
I like the enthusiasm, but dare you criticize it - be ready to get flamed into oblivion.
Nobody can have a nuanced opinion, you're either a hater or bootlicker apparently.
Also they got Andrew Wincott to voice Night Lords again which is amazing
You should have seen the argument here last night lmao
like again the game is fun, i just am kinda fed up with the criticism backlash.
I dont know why a middle point is just impossible
But then again, that's an issue with the gaming community as a whole and not just with this game.
people are people no matter how much you want to brain'em
Like that Incel dude video ? Or something else ?
It's always, it has to be garbage where it has to be good no in between
People get mad that you for calling something mid even though it is then they get mad at you for calling something good even though it is
Pretty much
Uh more just:
"Just get good"
the elitist crowd in this game is legit crazy
Oh I'm thinking of another video
Bro we are losing the amount of arguments here
Because in The current day and age, you must be a committed MANLY MUSCUALR SIGMA GIGACHAD WHO WANTS TO RULE ALL WOMENKIND, or a LGBTQ+++ ALLY WHO CAN INFLUENCE EVRYTHING.
There is no middle ground.
For the SOUL OF THE INTERNET AND CULTURE is AT STAKE.
/shitpost.
LMAO
Yeah i hope this shit dies down soon. I dont even actively seek it out and it still gets shovelled to my face 😭
If i was allowed to brain people because of this reason i would
Man they don't shut up about this type of stuff
It's like the only thing they f****** do
They do this because this is all they have.
And also too much time on their hands.
Also nowadays YouTube makes it easy to just profit off verbal hatin
CriticalDrinker my beloved
had someone tell me last week the sigma based russians were saving gaming with space marine 2, and showing the west how to do it
That's certainly a take
well almost a take
it's not actually that uncommon to hear
It is like that ridiculous take with comparing the recruitment commercials…
oh god of course
What link do Russian even have with Saber
anyone making "thing bad" content should be drawn and quartered
yeah i suggest breaking their legs
The saber russian satellite that worked on sm2 is the one that dev'd the game
iirc
sadly i dont expect it to in my life time
Eh it will
Helldivers 2 was praised as the game that saved gaming
5 months later tho uh lol
rip
I just don't engage with them.
^ also this
Ok I think I figured out what space marine 2 combat is missing which makes taking care of hordes so hard, hit stun
just enjoy the game as you see fit
I wouldn't be so harsh on sm2 if darktide didn't exist.
Your enemies don’t care when you are whaling on them, you do however
Do I love the combat in this game.
oh i thought you meant the vitriol in general lol
man they are not helping themselves anytime soon
Might be a me thing but i've tries giving the pvp a chance last night and it's really unfun
I got my moneys worth form helldivers
Plus the latency 💀
That's my biggest problem with the combat
That the melee often doesn't feel like it does anything, cause often the enemies just don't care, even if you do damage
they should really have not removed the health man
Health and execution was practically the bread and butter in old space marine combat\
If the mini bosses and tyrants didn’t care that’s fine but hitting a space marine with a thunder hammer should keep him from shooting back at me
I gave the devs (hd2) props but they went from one mistake to another one too many times despite the pushback from the overall community.
after that sony debacle i made a bet that the game is gonna unfortunately spiral out of control and it did
Yeah, no health from executions makes this game a lot harder
It's hard to have faith in the game when all your toys simply get taken away from you each time.
The thunder hammer feels impactless
Power fist is worse
And now they are adding a war bond pack with bio weapons only that won't work on bots
Same with the power fist
I thought the hammer felt great, the fist, not so much
so you're telling me i should go for chainsaw or power sword if i play bulwark
Yeah it’s odd darktide has way more satisfying melee then a space marine game lol
power sword is goated
The only weapon that i've liked is the chainsword
like damage wise the fish does its job right
For better or worse fat fish does have a lot of experience in this domain.
You can just stunlock any non elites
you punch a fucker and you kill them
It's not really that odd, FS has perfected the system across three games
I wish hitting elites knocked them out of attacks
yeah fat sharks specialty is melee
Cause I’m animation locked and can’t dodge
the combat also just has a ton of stuff that goes into it below the surface.
end weapon usage of course
Just play Tactical and spam Chainsword attack + kick
I will say I like space marine 2 Ranged combat more
Shooting pistols while engaging in melee is really fun
combat knife is actually pretty good with it's heavy attacks for stagger
I'm too much of a smoothbrain to remember the attacks of more than 1 melee weapon
you're telling me a thunder hammer that is larger than my head doesn't stun?
and i expect the power fist doesn't help
It seems the blunt power weapons are taking the short end of the stick this time
But yeah not enough
And you can’t power through attacks either with your charged
You get hit and you get sent flying
For SM2 my most memorable mission was the ripper swarms one (was it the second? can't remember) not because it was good, maybe I should replay with the friends to get a different perspective.
I hated that mission
I thought it was fun
just a small burst of fire kept the swarm away for a good while so you had time to do other stuff
I was playing on high preset and the swarms looked so off
with friends its MUCH better
It looked like I was fighting an endless potato field.
also yeah thats from how the rippers were made
its essentially the same model copy pasted to move en-masse so it looks choppy
its like a single "entity" programming wise
oh god the lag must be insane
Woe, plague tale upon ye
i mean my FPS would probably be slower than a turtle trying to render that in
But yeah I’m excited to see what they do with the game cause I like the loop
swarm wasn't that bad for fps but the damn barbed stranglers
Cringe opinion but it doesn’t really have the power fantasy aspect of being a space marine though
When it comes to actual perfromance the game did fine for me
I really really hope the Horde Mode has us dropping into a position in a Drop Pod and we just duke it out until all of us die
If I’m fighting more then 2 elites I feel like I’m being bullied lol
Also the heavy bolt pistol fucks so mad it’s only on one class
Personally I dislike the big fuck off indicators they have for attacks that can be parried and those that can't - wish there were more focused on sound cue designs and animations than big UI elements that spring out of nowhere.
Thing is a head hunter
L4D2 is really a masterclass on that sometimes.
Arkham and its consequences on melee combat has been a disaster
Shadow of war melee was pretty fun though ngl
Game was HARD though dude you played on a high difficulty those orcs were out for your blood
The adaptive nemesis system 💀
Fighting uber orcs
Shame we won’t get any more of those games
Figured the next one was gonna follow the elf but years later no news
Some of the tzeentch bullshit definitely got me near the end of the campaign
Hoggar's bridge?
That would be issue for many people. As sound depends on players hardware way too much. You can see that in DT.
Did you know that there are actually severely more attacks you're allowed to parry?
Not always a good idea
You get stuck in parry animation
And the swarm runs around you and chips at you while you recover
yeah parrying gaunt attacks will probably get you killed
unless it's a clear and cut few hits you can easily predict
They ai in this game is crazy aggressive
The little trash aren't really worth it, but there's a lot of warrior animations you can parry
And it's amazing how awful gun shots are
yeah any attack except red ones can be parried
Perfect dodges I found are better then parries
even red ones can be blocked but you get stunned from it
Elites and everything are fine for me but it's the little spitter bastards that chip away my HP whenever I feel too happy.
They also got this weird behavior where like, 4-5 gaunts will jump on you at once when you parry a single one of them.
that is just total ass
yeah
like, anyone that defends that shit is coping hard
Woe, 8 space marines upon ye
Rubrics when they are about to inferno bolt my ass
You lose armor you die
Bulwarks trying to hold the team as literally every single enemy tears them apart slowly but surely
keeping up armour is pretty easy with pistol strikes tbh, just don't time it badly
I love dodging
The hive tyrant fight is pretty fun ngl
my main issue is with tzaangors, those just fuck you up if you misplay even for a second
Funny tho, in elden ring I actually use jump and block more than dodge.
yeah I really liked the tyrant
and tzaangors are way too tanky for what they are
Blew my mind
REAL
Hit those dudes with a nade launcher and they just don’t care
Weakest beast man player
Wait, aren't they literally fodder enemies though
the chaos faction really needs a similar system where you kill the elite grouped with mobs, the mobs should feel the effect like with tyranids
Honestly most of the issues I'm concerned about can be easily fixed in SM2, unfortunately most people have already consumed all the content available.
Something like broken morale?
yeah but they have shields
No fast way of killing them
or just have the rubric explosion be a stun for them
Like with the elites nids
that apparently can stop bolter rounds
explain it with warp fuckery
i don't think a shield can stop an exploding rocket ammo
It’s a chaos shield
Yea the bonus armor should have some timer or something before it can be damaged ||or just make it better ||
tzeentchian fuckery
even the shieldless tzaangors can soak up a full 12 shot bolt pistol magazine which is silly
The bullet doesn’t actually hit the shield guys it’s teleported into the warp
Headshot headshot headshot
Even then they don’t really care
Sm2 gameplay loop
Actually just let me regain health on executions
that's what i am saying
if they just bring that back the chances of the entire team dying will be lower
the contested health pool is pretty good system already, starting a pistol strike or an execution with white health will stop the decrease and regen all of it back
One must imagine the space marine player happy
I'm mostly fine feeling sorta squishy in SM2 tho - lore wise astartes are strong but they aren't impervious to all dangers.
you can still soak up a lot of damage if you manage your executions and strikes well
im okay with that too, I just despise the ranged enemies
have a squishy mob close by alive if you are facing a lot of elites so you can farm it for hp if need be
I now truly feel like a thousand son player
I HATE TZAANGORS
NANOMACHINES WARP FUCKERY, SON.
can a headshot at least take them down?
from like a heavy bolt pistol
tzaangors? nah
you have to be ******* kidding me
A headshot from a heavy bolt pistol is not enough to down them
NGL, the final boss felt like a dark souls mission since it was all just "dodge through the attack with I frames"
Reminded me of remnant 2 more than anything tbh
And remnant 2's last boss fight
Remnant 2 😦
Was so excited for that game cause I loved from the ashes but just couldn’t get into it
they'll soak 5 hits of a powerfist too

you're trolling right
no
ain't no way
I enjoyed it, but I didn't play remnant 1.
I'm definitely interested in the dlc coming out since it has a horde mode
You guys remember space hulk deathwing? If that game got remade with some proper sound design, killer sound track and new graphics/animation it would go crazy.
that game also has the ability to RIP apart your frames like it's a toy right
I don't recall any FPS issues really
I loved it
So much detail in the environment and everything, too bad it was severely lacking in other departments.
yeah it looks good but the rest is just annoyingly bad
If you don't fw Reynald consider yourself a opp
I’ve recently looked at the joytoy model selection for 40k and 30k
And jesus christ they pump out shit so fast
Im convinced that they just use the original mini assets and tweak them slightly
Uh
Yeah, like im pretty sure most techpriest, ironhands or chapter specific expansion packs do
Nah, no techmarines nor ironhands have any. At least that i could find.
Could you find one and post a picture?
What? Specifically a leg?
Well, yeah
Wait
You might be on to something
At most you have bionic arms
Only firstborn have prosthetic legs
Pretty sure that's actually the only bionic leg available
I've been thinking about it for iron hands and I reckon the plastic mechanicum thallax are the answer
Plus maybe the plastic titanicus knights for termies
Arent those things like really big?
The thallax are on 40mm bases but are quite skinny
The knights are also on 40mm bases but quite chunky
Also just scratch building them using plasticard rods, broken guitar strings and greenstuff cables
And plasticard sheet
Yea looks like most people just custom build them or get 3d prints
Ya 3d printing for sure, the iron hands discord has a great channel that links loads of 3d printed bionics
I'm sure they'll work for primaris
Bit of cutting up needed
Put that shin plate on backwards
Good parts for bashing
and the arms are only for certain wargear options
Yea they're usually pointy hands or holding pistols from what I've seen
btw my theory is correct, my work's wifi has an american IP
i have a free VPN fuck yeah
@outer wave i found an RG zeong for 18 dollars
And yes, i am just as skeptical as you are
Yea these are all the ones I can think of for Primaris
No legs whatsover
Tbf they’ve barely made bionic legs at all
Eternals head never looked shinier
Yeah Ive mentioned them from above just a bit ago
Weirdly even know bionic legs seem to just be confined to firstborn, well, what little they do have.
That BA one is goofy as hell
Generally it looks better with one leg
Ive always wanted to do a IH jump captain with clawed legs kinda like warp talons but bionic
SM having claw foot like that is always cool
I kitbashed some meduson immortals and made them into stls and i used dreadnought feet for there bionics
The struggle with IH is basically always how much you want more bionics vs how much work it is to make them look good
That being said
I’m also generally fine with just the hands being the visible bionics
But I do love some weird bionics
I’ve got a fallen lad with legs sorta like that. They’re a vibe
I just love these claw/dreadnought feet. Wish we just saw more of them on models.
They got photos?
Fallen always having the best drip as usual
🤝
Yeah hopefully it's all okay and legit
Still gotta write a story for that ork skull, was “born” without eyes, call him Poleefemuz
Had that augment eye shoved in and just assumed he could see, couldn’t but didn’t wanna seem dumb.
wow those sure are bionics
it looks like it snaps liek a twig
Y'know honestly I wonder if there are any Sister of Battle who has white hair because they're just
So stressed 24/7
That their hair is naturally white
its motly dyed
yeah that's the stuff
its to honor a lady who offed the creep who caused the imperium to become the religious hell it is toady isntead of the normal hell
Everyone thinks it's dye but really they're just constantly one step away from shoving a bolter in their mouth and pulling the trigger
Something something
Johnny Silverhand
Relatable
In SM2 starting a "new game" doesnt reset your multiplayer progress, right? It would make no sense to but just want to make 100% sure.
Go on
So I want to look into the politics that goes on within the Martian Cult, and their relations with their allies.
We're gonna be here for awhile if thats the case
It's honestly the same as the general Imperium
That being
Backstab after backstab
Nobody really wants to work with each other
Or any relative form of "Buracecy"
Nearly everyone hates each other
yeah pretty much this
its dysfunctional
only some of the higherups sometimes know what they are doing
Hmmm mmm
Skaven rules of politic
So in the game, Darktide specifically, when you hear the side commentary on the mourning star. Hadron was denied any additional supplies from the "dignitaries" from Mars. How does the Cult Mechanicus oversee the Imperium's supplies and machinery?
They have agents on the field that oversee stuff and report back, its more or less like any engineering company procedure tbh just more religious and cult-like
Oh,
yeah the issue is again your question is VERY general
the intricacy of these literally depends from forgeworld to forgeworld and techpriest to techpriest lol
Basically its kinda how any managerial thing is done IRL, send request, wait for it to pass through tons of shit, maybe it gets approved, maybe it doesnt
with again just more cult and religious nonsense involved
thats about as general as it gets
Also sprinkle in some other chaotic stuff like how maybe the techpriest that got your request wants to submit it himself so he or she gets credited for answering the aid to an important planet and is elevated in the eyes of their magos but their rival kills them and does it themselves etc
the admech is ridiculously political
Ok
I've only skimmed through the ranks of Cult Mechanicus, so I was wondering in relations between Terra and Mars does Cult Mechanicus have designated an emissary on Terra?
i mean, almost all facets of the imperium are like that
well yeah but we are talking about the admech
Yeah they do, its usually on the behalf of the fabricator-general though.
Who usually cant even physically attend council meetings from how big he is
Wait, wdym by big??
I'm also pretty sure you need Titan grade moving equipment just to move him around
Augments don't really have limitation
The dude is basically a server room it seems
more like a server city block
Is there concept art of a fabricator-general?? Also can't he attend a 40k version of a zoom call?
Nope atm we got nothing.
Well its not the same thing as being there physicaly
its like having a meeting with world officials
and you do a digital call, it kinda is not the right thing politically to do lmao
well that and maybe hes too much of a cunt idk
I guess....

In regards to the second to last statement
He has other bodies too so part of it literally is just making it a huge effort to meet him or for him to leave
Probably do he’s not being reached for anything but stuff that’s absolutely necessary
Mechanically morbidly obese
Our lore on him is so small the "hes as big as a building" part just comes from a fucking throwaway book line lol
Ah
A model of him would be hilarious
Yeah its not that great.
And then they reveal it and hes just some terrain for killteam
Im sure it wouldnt be too bad, his entire lower half would be just a cube
Closest thing to accurately describe him would be that one robotic dwemer from the elder scrolls series
Did TTS make it up ?
They had something iirc but don't know waht
Nope they were actually pretty accurate
hes literally a fucking techno-block
the upper half of his body was from the only official artwork we have of him
which is like 20 years old lol
Meant art wise
Hes on the far right
basically around the time the episodes were coming out
the book that said hes as big as a building wasnt even published for another decade yet
They only fixed it once it was out and planted that artwork version of him to a massive mecha-body
So if the political bureaucracy is sooooo archaic. How does it fair in terms of relic acquisition, more on Mechanicus terms of "Holy relics".
Uhhh mostly pretty well? Its the standard deal
Go to your superiors
Convince them you got archeotech to hunt
Get approval, get an Ark Mechanicus fleet
Go find the shit
Come back
anything that can happen in-between these event is random and prone to happen regarding any sort of crisis or issue
Hmm mmh,
Admech got an entire starship segment dedicated to this called Explorators, you can guess what the ydo
Make rations!!!

Got a whole vehicle line up too, which isnt in production anymore annoyingly
GW trying their best to ignore any 30k admech stuff moment
I've seen, ("interrupted"), a lore discussion a couple months before, where they were also discussing about relic acquisition and the dance that comes with it...
Yeah its just basically IRL archeology
just mix in people that want to kill you
and said archeology stuff being in dangerous places
From what I remember, claiming credit can become a bit complicated in regards to how important that relic can be
IRL archeologists do sometimes make a big dick deal of like "NO i will get to name it" or "NO its my discovery"
but its generally a lot more professional than what admech do
Its especially awkward now that there mostly in plastic now, meanwhile 40k gets walking chopstick robit
Usually
Archaeologist discovering that the Spinosaurus do indeed fly with the wings and having to change the skeleton structure for the one billionth time
What is the job title if you're dedicated to Mechanicus Archeology?
Ah
Except they don’t which is arguably worse

Well I think that's all the questions I wanted to touch up on....
That I've been able to keep a mental track on....
Happy to help lol
Though just one last thing... Well maybe to last things
I’ll admit and say this was also quite interesting to me also

(continue the lines via reply if you know the script)
(In robotic voice) " From the moment I learned the weakness of my flesh... "
Zased
Ok
And make it snappy
I do hope we will see something like a dlc or game 3 that introduce Tau, and make a similar speech
40k is a setting where archaeology is one of the most dangerous professions
Also explorators never had a full vehicle line up it was like a single vehicle that went OOP in under a year
🤓
Forgeworld moment
Dammit, i got fucking corrected
I really don’t get why it went OOP so fast
Which one ?
Macrocarid explorator
That one was to be a bonding comment chain (a small chain mind you), but the second question was I a tech priest choose to speak only in that binary language. Would it sound like that Internet explorer dial up sound or something more analog??
Mechanicus is prolly the best depiction of it
Sm2 has binaric lines
Mechanicus is the best showcase of it
its literally eldritch machine sounds
*macrocarid
Just use a generic screech sfx
FUCK
Which is lame but saves money lol
It sounds like if you took a record scratch, heavily distorted and bass boosted it and played it backwards.
Look like a bigger Triaros
All of the voice beeps for the tech priest characters, minus the Heretek DLC
Couldn't find this anywhere, so i made it myself

Sidenote: on a scale of 1-10 how do rate space marine 2
7
10/10
It’s above average and very good overall
I fucking love it
not in my top 5 games of this year though
Ah interesting
there are two kinds of people when it comes to space marine 2
I was watching bricky's review today
im so glad a semi-big content creator actually mentions the problem with the game.
The comment section getting mad at him was funny af
Its not really high.
He has decent atandards
How long did you have that on stand by??!
Is that better
Bricky is a pretty thorough reviewer
Yeah
Bricky might be a slop maker but he is pretty thorough on his game reviews
His 40k content can be slop but his game revies are very good.
His last of us review is one of my faves
Also its just him being honest tbh
its what i like about him
he says the good and the bad, theres no toeing around anything
I saw a chance and I took it
Uhhh like 2 years
Bricky is one of my favorite game reviewrs
I know that the lack of voiced lines was actually mainly due to budget
But honestly
I actually like this more than if they were voiced
It’s better
The Necrons are all normal voices
It’s much cooler
Having the mechanicus be incomprehensible without looking at what they’re saying
40k novels always describe tech priests speaking in "binary cant" - their own hyper efficient machine code language.
So of course it'd make sense if it was incomprehensible to the human ear
A 40k content creator who's humor isn't either teenager locker room jabs or stale, archaic memes?
I don't believe you.
lmao
they get the point across fine to me
The aliens who have long lost their souls are more human than the mechanicus
He has some stale memes
Too bad
Die

Sassy tech priests always make me smile
On his main channel he tends to avoid that
Mhm
Not her specifically just. In general.
Also it's funny that you can tell how "high ranking" a Mechanicus member is just by their voice
Specifically
More machine
= higher ranking
So I'm correct?
I recently went back to watch adept ridic
And man, i cant stand DK sometimes
Closer to the perfection of the blessed machine
And you just had it on quickdraw
I dont hate him purely for the fact that when DK actually host he can actually bounce of bricky well
I think my favorite is Rhezak's tbh
@arctic talon are the main rivals in the setting of Aos for Iron Jawz the Blades of Khorne?
because i see a lot art of the two of them just duking it out
Mainly because of the muffled sound
Makes it sound like he's truly ancient
Like an old radio
The two things that hold back adric the most is their gooner posters and that DK is sometimes insufferable with how he forgets stuff
They're just having the time of their lives
Let people enjoy things
But yeah, when he hosts the fantasy episodes he's actually good
Which is surprising honestly
No
The analog distortion sound in recordings is really effective for that
Honestly if they had to give them voices. They should only switch to normal speech when they're talking to a "meatbag"
then what is their so called main enemy
ah good shit then
And then go back to incomprehensible when they're talking with each other
Foite is foite
Also Scalevola kept her hair
Which is probably... the only way you can ever find out that she's a woman besides reading the dialogue lmao
Although it's no longer on the top of her head?
I once read a story where an Iron Warrior could speak binaric and one of the servitors insulted him. He replied that if the servitor did it again he would repurpose it for mine disposal. Which got a binaric laugh.
Also I find it infinitely funny that there is somebody named "Reditus"
One letter away from "Redditus"
going by elite soldier against each faction how good is a brute, because apparently Ard'boyz are just straight up so strong that even though they are considered bottom tier infantry for iron jaws they can match the elites of other races

Usually Servitors for Chaos factions are daemon possessed ye?
Depends
Also honestly, the Servitor probably laughed cause
The combat ones for iron warriors usually are.
I guess that DK having notes helps lol
But this was a construction servitor so, I think mostly human
Yeah there is nothing the iron warrior can really do
Who’s writing lol
Any threat he makes will just be a premature ending to his suffering
Also might have once been an iron warrior
It would be fucking funny if there was a Servitor that's just
permanently sassy
They tried lobotomizing him several times
Based on how it wanted to fight instead of build
But somehow he has enough brain to keep making sassy comments
And it annoys the fuck out of the tech priests
Hey, servitors malfunction all the time
I just think it would be funny
Also a last act of rebellion
Even after "death" he is still sassy
Only one that can match him is...
alright then that makes sense
HIM
Oh it would be hilarious
sassy nurgling
I still find it infinitely funny that Sassy Nurgling actually got a Lexicanum entry
Primarily because they actually made a plushie
"Grandpa, I'm famous!"
Did a death guard marine make it a little helmet?
He's basically the champion's helmet holder
He doesn't need it anyways since helmetless SMs have a higher chance of survival

i'm more interested in this fella
wait wolf how old is Archaon now
That tongue looks a little....
Don't you dare
Very
Probably more than a million years right
Swag
The Nurgling might be banished by Caedo
But in truth
He won the long war
His sassiness will forever sick in Caedo's mind
One step closer for Chaos to gain a new champion

JUST SAW A TECH PRIEST INVENTING A NEW TABLE PATTERN INSTEAD OF TAKING 100 YEARS TO FIND A STC FOR IT.
THE MECHANICUS HAS FALLEN.
BILLIONS MUST BECOME SERVITORS
It ain't easy making a living in the grim darkness of the far future! Whether you're a Techpriest or a Sister of the Adepta Sororitas or a Terminator fighting heresy on the frontlines. Or indeed a funny voice man whose income depends on a universe and characters created by other people. The manual labour chads are, as always, relatively safe.
O...
why is he so cute
I heard you flippin' beta alpha sigma gamma delta epsilon zeta eta theta males were having a little bit of a hard time discovering the true secret to becoming your best most authentic self, so Boss Lotsateef has put together this handy informational guide to discovering the secrets of becoming a SQUIGMA MALE (2x better than a Sigma Male AT LEAST...
My favorite joke ever
Cause when orks do it it’s funny and goofy because A. It’s actually true in Ork society, and B. Orks are dumb enough to believe the humie version
Follow along with these sigma rizzler ASMR binaural beats to unlock your hidden potential and krump those zoggin Sigmas and Alphas with this ONE WEIRD TRICK! Warbosses hate him! Our Mad Doks have discovered a STRANGE LOOPHOLE in the Ork mind that allows any common garden variety Boy to BECOME A TRUE SQUIGMA.
Background noise:
https://youtu.be/...
There are people who unironically believe this stuff
Not the Ork version, of course. The human version
It’s funny if your an Ork though
The ork version is fun though, like everything, orks do it better
The Ork version seems to actually reflect Ork society
Brainwashed by con men
I know, that’s why I love it
Cause I could genuinely show this to someone who knows nothing about orks and they’d get it
I also love the really poor editing lol
The worst part is that it is actually a good introduction to the orks
It's actually better than most tbh
Here's an example of a real intro by one of these channels
This is real
Remember: if mankind was a single iota wiser, we would be living in a very different world.
Eepy
A totally random, definitely not specifically chosen, non-nondescript Ultramarines chaplain dying in a glue trap
I bet orks really listen to this in hopes of becoming da boss
they are done posting killteam rules
I just realized that a good amount of Imperial enemies are basically perverts
Mainly Slaanesh (and all the daemons and stuff that comes with them)
And the Drukhari
Maybe Chaos Undivided counts but they pretty much worship whoever gives them a boon so it depends
Also I just realized that Chaos is pretty much just like
Climbing the corporate ladder
Except with much more murder, torture, rape, daemons, and Magic
That technically means that every Chaos SM is basically just a corporate slave if you really think about it.
I guess HR is taken quite literally in Chaos. Inc
Instead of being a regular slave
Instead of being paid with money, you get paid in blessings and power
And most try to game the system but fail miserably
I don't think more Imperial get fair salaries
Hey I didn't say they get fair salaries
I just say they get paid in money.
Sometimes
Okay only manager level and above probably
Honestly I would imagine most get paid in food stamps
Or maybe just living
I'd so join a gang tbh, if I lived in a Hive
It's also why Chaos is so enticing to regular people.
Because you actually have a chance to move up
It's miniscule
But it is a chance
And regular people actually have become Daemon Princes
But it's the equivalent to watching a documentary about how Bill Gates invented Microsoft.
Yeah sure you can technically do it.
But it requires a lot of work, cheating, and luck
So basically
Chaos is just a corporation
YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THE CORPOS
CAPITALISM HAS OVERTAKEN SPACE
FUCK
Id much rather try and become a tech priest
Chimken nuggies
My face when in the grim darkness of the far future there’s no chicken tendies
Human tendies just aren’t the same
Although it does vary from person to person
eternal
do you know quickly if old dreadnoughts used 60mm bases @dusk patrol
current one uses 90mm
I know the Furioso is on 60mm
I’m not sure, I imagine far enough back some do yeah
so boxnaught
ok
here's an extremely accurate model of a 90mm base i made if any of you want that for some reason
i took measurments with calipers and shit then printed to compare to a real 90mm base
i even made it hollow underneath so if you make it black it looks completely identical to a real base
ngl
bases don't have to be GW plastic
There's a ton of custom bases and shit
or base extenders
I love base extenders
Are there any "smart" Ogryns in lore?
There is one female psyker ogryn that is given a proper education so yes
Yes
Not incredibly common though
are female ogryns also uncommon?
No, they're just not talked about because GW
that tracks
Yeah its weird
