yes the tavor
which mb is israeli not american
and the m4 too apparently
mostly old stock from the US
It really is hard to beat the M-16 when it comes to service rifles.
i see it more as an economic thing since that's what it usually boils down to
america gives old stuff to israel for very cheap
plus developing your own proprietary service rifle costs a lot of money
which is why France let go of the famas
That was mostly just a tangent thought. I'm a big fan of the Galil, in truth but it's hard when you're the only one using it.
tbh the whole bullpup craze is stupid for a lot of reasons and there's barely any reasons for the average grunt to need a close quarters weapon
But it looks so cool! So futuristic!
im glad the US stuck to its guns (ha) and went with a conventional design for the XM7
and they didn't go with colt which is mega based
A shame it probably won't work out.
fun fact it's actually kinda fucked up that the US army switched from the M16 to the M4 without conducting any trials
they're supposed to test multiple companies before doing a change like that
but they just quietly went with colt which stinks of corruption
it's slowly going through the process of replacing hundreds of thousands of M4's. it's just bureaucracy taking its time
it's very difficult to replace the service rifle of the biggest army in the world
Don't I know it.
it's called the nagmachon if you want to look it up
- 10 đ
dude this is literally a modern A7V
thats nearly ww1 levels of crew size lol
well it's an IFV
oh ok
so the crew is most likely also passengers
so not all of that is crew
but since there's no gunner then they also have to man the guns
which means they're crew???
what the fuck is this thing
one of the many many abominations littering the IFV/APC evolutionary tree it seems
sourced from reddit post: it was considered an IFV at the time purely because you could shoot out of it
today it would just be considered an APC
IDF combat vehicle design be like: how can we make this 40 year old chassis withstand IED's and RPG-7's while also making it an IFV
today i learned of another vehicle
the dawsar
introduced in 2014 by jordan
looks cool right
it's a centurion
centurions were adopted in 1946
also it's a fucking land raider
ITS A GOD DAMN LAND RAIDER
please
ffs somebody tell me im not insane here
that thing is literally a land raider
Yes
the centurian was one of the main tanks of the british army in ww2
so the land raider could easily be inspired by it
thanks
it was originally adopted in 1945 like right after WW2
but yes it was one of the most prominent tanks of the time
british tanks all look the same so i get the confusion
I wouldn't go that far
You can at least tell them apart by a glance
@crystal forum guess the nationality of this tank
oh right i was thinking of the crusader
which iirc is what the centurian was based on
french
or british
American
oh wait
huh
i was about to say that looks like a ZSU behind it
but that's a sergeant york isnt it
i'm willing to bet this is an interwar tank that was partially developped by the french
and i dont even know what it is
It is a British tank originally so yes
fuck
should have guessed british
was my second guess tbh
america wasn't making shit by that point
in fact my favorite tank, the t-26 is just a licensed copy of a british tank
well, the british where the ones to invent the tank so they tend to be the ones that made the earliest ones
don't knock the french too much, they were very quick to get on the tank train
it's germany that didn't think it was worth the investment until late in the war
and of course the US being the little stepchild still and trying to catch up
then the interwar happened and the US had its golden years and you know the rest
now WW2 is declared and france still hasn't equipped most of its front line tanks with fucking radios
then you had mussolini who dedicated natl production nearly solely to a cheap mg tank purely so he could brag that italy had more tanks than any other nation which while technically true had major asterisks
dictators be dictating
Let's talk about space marine balance issues and what GW could potentially do to try and make things better for the core codex marines...

soul drinkers in thumbnail
holy shit i did not know soul drinkers were 20+ year old lore
no wonder the books felt so off
I think their whole chapter died and got brought back didnt it
Basically
Somehow the souldrinkers returned
Do you ever think the weapons that have bad rolls and blessings are just
Their machine spirits acting up
Spirit ey?
in universe belief? absolutely
meta-wise we aren't entirely sure if machine spirits actually exist at all
Well they do
its more that the answer to what they are is like 3 things
its left in the air for the writers to get more freedom from it
Rynn's Might the happy little Land Raider is the best example of a tangible machine spirit activity
Bear in mind machine spirit is also just their word for like software and the code required for shit
And even in universe all 3 also exist simultaneously.
- Something people invoke on broken machinery (even basic ones like toasters) because some worlds ARE that backwards.
- Extremely sophisticated semi-AI with possible biological component inside warmachines (as mentioned above, Rynn's Might)
- An actual xenos god entity that can take over machines.
is that the one where its crew died and it went berserk or something?
in short, yes
ah yeah neat little fellow that was
So like machine spirits on the most literal sense do exist and like a machine spirit acting up or being angry could literally just be the piece of tech glitching
Or maltreated hardware, but yes
My toasters machine spirit was angry at me today and didn't work đ
Oof
And lore wise, even if your toaster has 0 AI components or xenos gods, it is still correct to invoke
I'm gonna get a new toaster with a nicer machine spirit
Since the Ad Mech also uses the term to teach IoM citizens on how to maintain any machinery
If you go by Ad Mech standards, even things like Autoguns "have" Machine Spirit
Plasma weapon overheats and kills the wielder? Machine Spirit

It's a real problem that many people have
certainly
Basically this yeah
we will never probably have a tangible answer since authors dont pay attention to each other
so its a mix of All of the Above
Machine spirits essentially work like DND dice rolls
Tired of self exploding with Psyker? Try vet with Plasma!

Wasn't that the TOG?
Also new thought, but would it be heresy to remove a turrent from a Leman Russ to turn it into an improvised APC?
turretless Leman Russes have been available before, but mostly as tank destroyers
can't recall if there has been any personnel carriers
modifying one to become one would probably be looked pretty sourly by the adepts of the machine cult but can't say I've heard of such thing being done
Probably not especially if the world doesn't have resources and just has a few lying around that they need for transportation
can happen but as Jerko said the mechanicus will probably look not like it
The Destroyer does look great.
Dunno about the Leman, but all of the Sororitas tanks are modified versions of the Rhino

Why
Castigator cool tho
Tbh, the Castigator looks like it should be an option for the guard.
No
Guard have enough vehicles, leave ours alone
absolutely love metal slug vehicles
they are so imperial guard coded

For some reason, this reminds of the CDL tanks.
Y'all seen that recent Baneblade kitbash that gave it a huge rotating turret
Abrams esque
yep those are pretty sick
Iâm sure Iâll be fettling this for months to come, but for now, Iâm calling it finished. Although it made for a pretty busy few days of painting last week, It was great to get it finished and on display at the @cultofpaint MPO last weekend. Itâs a bit of a long video, as thereâs so much to show, but hope you enjoy it!
#Shadowsword #Baneblade #...
20459
With your damn Chimera, Taurox, Hellhound, Leman Russ, Sentinel, Hydra, Wyvern, Rogal Dorn, Basilisk, Deathstrike, Valkyrie and don't get me started on all the Baneblade varients, the Shadowsword, Hellhammer, Stormsword, Stormlord, Doomhammer, Banesword and Banehammer.
More videos in his profile
We got like 4 vehicles and they're all Rhino variants, let us keep them
damn
that is nice
No, you get a cart that is pulled along by repentia or servitors.
I pray everyday for Biker Repentia
It's very impressive
The most based release GW could do is make a "Saints and Sinners" box with Sororitas on horseback and Repentia on Bikes
that it is, a good kitbash is always fun
Do the Grey Knights have bikes?
Don't think so
Grey Knights don't have a lot
They are desperately in need of an update
Maybe they're going to become a part of imperial agents.
imperial agents dex has some GK stuff in it but not a focus, the full GK dex is out next year
is everybody in this channel a tank crewman i swear
Deathwatch got squatted and added to Imperial Agents, but GK will continue as their own thing
Think there were only I and one another
that's two more than usual
tanks for the memories

I hate that it looks cool
ooh are the episodes self contained stories? haven't watched the first one yet
NOVA TODAY
Yea I think they said it was an anthology of different "Tithes"
HYPE HYPE HYPE
Yoooo NOVA
I see I see
AOS REVEALSSS
Might have to check the first episode today
I bet we are getting a new celestant prime
of you post girl panzer shit again i will assassinate you politically
Stormcast reveals are today, but besides that maybe soulblight?
Based off that skeleton weapon form the rumor engine
rumour engine stuff tends to take a good while to come out usually
Nice arguement, unfortunately
Am I insane or am I hearing shadowheart
little anime girls saying kawaii while i punt them off a cliff
okay now THAT looks interesting
the first one was very boring
Unfortunately the Nova reveals are at 2am
Thralls don't get cake
Does anyone else hear Shadowheart's VA
Yea second one looks more interesting

I would not be surprised
Minthara's VA literally has voiced like uh
The 9th ed cinematic
Shart is getting around
Raphael's VA did the Night Lords omnibus right
Yes actually
Yep that is him!
he just does a way more heavy slavic accent
i recognized him from how sexy his voice comes off

lol he's in Darktide too
dilara's got a type
as drumroll Chaos Ogryn and Groaner
Really???
That's what imdb says
Lmao bruh
CANT STOP MEEE
its deffo not easy to do monster voices but im surprised they used him for THAT
Felt like he could do a sniper pretty well
weird that it's credited as Chaos Ogryn and not Plague Ogryn. Could it be Bulwark or Reaper instead then?
But
Use him to just giggle really loud
truly uncanny
AHAHGAHSHAHA
Before after drugs
guy played suave devil and actual embodiment of syphilis
Damn zogger has range
because now that I think about it now, the Bulwark or Reaper voice line about the rejects coming closer in does kinda sound like him
Gross
Considering that you like astarion, I am not at all surprised you think of him as sexy
I'd probably get less diseases from kissing the Plague Ogryn
Donât click the link it leads to a scam page
Ederius trying to scam us?
I clicked thr link and it took me to a âyour iPhone has a virus!â
Weird
Did you do it before I fixed it
Or when was still twiiter
Because it just redirects me to twooter
Oh before you fixed it
Do scan your phone just in case something went wrong
Its good donât worry
and i was just looking for romance ideas for my stormcast
They can canonically ahve sex and be in relationships and way and sleep and all the good stuff
damn you, you pink Genestealer
yeah good thing sigmar is based
ayo?
yeah biologically they are just at that age too
they don't grow old
I was thinking that because their blood is lighting
yeah also apparently tastes good said the ogors
apparently they like the lightning stuff
And sigmar probably removed that function
So stormcasts donât need to be out of actions
yeah uh pretty sure no
So a stormcast wouldnât like, feel like he or she would need to stay behind to help raise a storm child
biologically they are their own race
Or they
If you can even call them biology they are practically just composed of magic at that point of life
I think that argument is out of the question since stormcasts canât get each other pregnant
Also crazy that the n Hiram people can just randomly become pregnant
In Ghyran
i mean it in the more fictional their own race thing
like they are artificially made
Oh yeah
Is what I meant
they don't have biological aspects since sigmar made them to be his champions and stuff
So I'm watching this video about the Leman Russ and the creator says that the Leman Russ was built to house a shield generator inside of it.
Is it true or is it a case of really old lore?
So some areas in ghyran are so potent with life magic that people become pregnant just by being too close
Ie the water
Or I guess the ocean
Sounds like a good hangover slogan for a t shirt: âWent to Ghyran for a good time, accidentally got Pregnant.â
wow i knew life magic is powerful but
damn
Most vehicles in the great crusade era had shielding including some dreadnoughts
i thought you said land raider, which might have been the case, but no the leman russ according to "old" lore has always been shitty
maybe newer HH rule books give it a shield generator but that's not "old" lore in that sense
honestly why am i not surprised
Well at least I can count fat shark on the itemization update being fire
finally i can salvage one of my weapons
Warhammer more like snorehammer amirite
borehammer
I'm here all day folks
Oh brother this guy STINKS!
Classic Siggy either dropping in to say something goofy or drop the most hilarious Siggy Lore
Not the bore worms
one day warhammer+ will have a combined 3 hours of stuff to watch
what a time to be alive
Hey maybe astartes 2 will release
you know the funniest thing about astartes is how many people in the community don't even know the name of the guy who made it, let alone what happened to him
there's so much wild speculation about what happened to him
you can literally just find his linkedin in like 3 google searches
Dude it sucks now that I have the Punisher as my pfp everything I say comes off as racist
I say keep it that way
yeah that is definitely not fun
It's my burden to bear as a straight white man
You have my pity
yeah the white people update definitely screwed you over
The new racism meta has definitely crippled whites nowadays, now every race is mocking them
White people update is killing me
when they come for the king they better not miss
Reading back on what I just wrote ^ that sounds extraordinarily racist
I will have to change teams
That is like the least racist thing ive heard all day
I dunno where you come to that conclusion lmao
Here i can just be racist as you
Going from casual to ranked with this one chief
Casual racism? We're going competitive.
I just stubbed my toe on a black marbled stair
yeah you need to get the racism buffs
Uh oh, i said black.
Gonna need to get powers from the people that say the n word most: Latina women
oh man the N word is a pay to win buff though
always meta breaking
The N word is so normalized its not really that powerful anymore
Thats like the first joke any hack does to seem edgy
That is a perfect image actually
Peter the king of the cotton fields
Thank goodness conversation here is kept here
I try to explain to my friends that this channel is basically its own discord
within a discord
Saving this
yeah conversations here are rather hilarious
we can go about talking to tits to talking to hitler if he was a clown at mcdonald's
This channel has gotten me through many tough work days
it's good stuff
This place wouldnât be the same if the moderation team were trigger happy
I hand the students worksheets and start reading in here
I too like to shitpost
oh yeah to be fair I feel like we're lucky the only warden here who really frequents is Dils
This is the only warhammer server where the mod team (all of them) rocks
source: I'm on the staff in the warhammer community discord
yep
Dont think the others arent lurking, they just dont bother too much
I never got this
yeah at least we keep our conversations contained here
that is what I'd rather be called than anything
Who's lurking?
Lol
meme chat was rather leaking from time to time
Whoever post often there were often quite fruity
If I don't bench 225 for reps today folks
I'm going to blow my brains out and upload it in here
with a ping to eternal so he can witness me first
I would rather you do something more sillier
yeah sure
Like, chug a whole beer in one go
poisoning the water supply of new york?
Thats gay
damn fair point
I'll be at the Mets game on 9/7 to any New Yorkers
see if you can spot me
Queens is hilarious, you walk 5 minutes from Citifield and it looks like you're in kandahar
Whenever i hear someone talk about baseball this simpson clip comes to my head https://youtu.be/uMcfzTTKTaQ?si=CB0j9wfypIz1JxEh
From Season 4 Episode 16: Duffless
That's why they constantly play music to keep you entertained.
nothing is boring when I sit there with 8 Miller lites, 2 hot dogs and 3 zyns in
https://youtu.be/8laEleUOoUM?si=6_VOvJvn7U2YmkPF this is the only thing i atribute to the word mets
Love tha Mets Let's go Mets
Credit: @skurletonVA on twitter. Absolute banger of a meme.
Thats the funny thing, in this clip the context is that homer is watching a game sober for the first time
Peter Parker is canonically a Mets fan
LOVE THE METS
LETS GO METS
I want to know who made all these mets gifs on the gif keyboard that just have racist captions
if you type "brandon nimmo" on the gif keyboard, it's just racism
I h8 u guys for ruining my subway commute everytime theres a game
Its like a god damn clown car
Jokes on you I take the LIRR cause the 7 line STINKS
Good man
Couldn't pay me to go on the subway
you're not kidding they do not hold back
That shit is why i started commuting on a bike
I was there for a fucking falling in reverse concert or something and a crackhead was screaming at every woman on the subway
I think almost every subway car I've been on has been filled with some violent ass crackheads
this is diabolical i hope you feel bad
it was a story so far concert
No
actual lore question
crack heads are a different breed if they are on their fuel source
in lore chat there is no room for weakness
They have the brain jack to connect with the titan
Princeps usually have some kinda augmetics but usually nothing crazy
Brain USB and sometimes a bionic eye here and there or limb
usually it's just brain USB and then stuff to replace injuries
Typical atuff you would see on a noble
Their bodies are their least important aspect
Yeah but if they're way too damage like fetus they get shoved inside a jar
Most of the time they go very little in the augmentics department
Aren't they looked down upon for not having blessed machine parts in them?
They spend all their time in their tubes once they get past Warhounds typically
The only reason a Titan pilot would need a bionic leg is probably because he is disabled or he thought it was cool
That's the mechanicus' whole deal though
Theyâre an exception to the rule
Because princeps just sit on there asses all day
yeah they respect them
They are still a cog for the titan machine
Theyâll get wheeled around in their tubes if they need to speak but they donât like leaving their titans
they pilot the god engines of war
Itâs addicting as hell
Princeps live pretty sedentary lives physically, mentally itâll fucking suck lol
Like a drug addiction except with a giant mech
I wish GW would release the pilots for knights in their own box. I love their design but i am NOT paying 150 dollars for a 25mm miniature lmfao
And the mech tries to duck your soul out
Warhound princeps notably do not often enter the tubes yet
You give me a reaver titan and I'll have the city of Philadelphia turned into glass by 5pm
That constantly screams and wanting to blow up orphanage
Basically imagine Steve O but less cringe and a Titan pilot
they're in a floating tank past a certain point?
Depends
Basically they are adrenaline junkied
yeah sometimes
Some of them go into the splooge tank instead of chairs
this extends their life though right?
I remember this one comic where the princeps had to (redacted) the titan spirit to take control again
There are other ways to extend it
yeah more into the machine when they're folding about the fluids
rejuvenation treatments bionics
as long as you have your torso and head you're good
You just float in the tank
I like in eisenhorn when he breaches the brain of a chaos knight and watches the whole horus heresy play out through its eyes
Bacta tank style
Me right after they give me access to a Reaver or Warlord titan
Great game, great meme, great voice actor
Do they control the titan when they're in the tank? Or are they basically just guiding a 70 meter tall genocide-addicted war machine as it does its thing?
One thing I would like to see more with imperial knights
I need to play the new PC version some time here
mentally they kinda fuse and work as one
Which is very goofy but
but fight for control sometimes
It depends but itâs often like controlling an animal
Some titans are much more wild than others
It just has a bunch of thrusters and they guard ships or something
no way i'm goign to breakdown crying
That sounds fucking badass I won't lie
yeah it's basically riding a bloodthirsty rhinoceros
They all tend to be pretty hot blooded and bloodthirsty but some for example really like melee if they can
Titans are fucking DOPE
that you try to control in the right direction and hope for the best
And the princeps have to hold back those desires
I might take the goop tank if it means wrestling that thing into control
I like in the word bearers book when they ambush the titan in the valley
on some gundam IBO shit
yes oh yeah also keep in mind they're not that big
Princeps are absurdly rare
I was pretty annoyed when they revealed the warmaster Titans existance
they're massive yes but they're not that big
Reaver coolest titan
Princeps are more valuable then the titan
But nowadays I've warmed up to there existance
Lol

Itâs one of the rarest people they find in the Imperium
Princeps vs a legion of Skitarii?
Princeps
Weird how they decided on a warmaster but not an emperor titan
Easy
i sentence you watching a baseball game with no food and beer
Theyâd sacrifice the whole legion if it meant getting the princeps back
NOOOOOOOO
They will literally send legions to retrieve one
mechanicus will also send millions to their death for a shiny orb or something
Hell a secutarii legion would prolly do it on their own đ
The ad mech does not often value life is whatâs special
Everyone is disposable
Everyone in 40k kinda forgets to live when they wanna retrieve relics
He was nice
Space Marines can be silly reckless too
Darioq the tentacle man
Mainly for termies
how rare is a princept even for the smaller titans
i feel like you only really need to do that on the larger ones right
alright maybe for warhounds
but you're not telling me a princeps is rarer than an imperator
i thought it went with experience
They literally can be for some titan legions
Very few princeps can pilot imperators
No, sometime people never can get the mental willpower to endure it
then i can imagine that emperor titan princeps are basically chosen ones
I find that a weird lore tidbit
Itâs magnitudes above being able to pilot a warlord or warmaster
Considering the size of the Titan legions in the crusades
Iâd assume princeps donât die often
Is the lore explanation
They live pampered lives outside of battle
i legit thought that part was just a power fantasy thing where most princeps just become insane and think they're the titan themselves
so the best ways to disable a titan is to kill them right
You get your soul torn out your body if that happens
huh????
Either that or they gathered a lot for the millenia that the legions have existed for considering a lot of them predate the Imperium
If you go completely crazy while piloting a titan
Usually the titan just
Takes control lol
Which involves your soul getting torn out your body
Sounds like a cushy job, for 40k standards.
would you rather pilot a titan or become a chaos lord bound to terminator armor
Even by our standards it is cushy
How fucking often do you pilot a mech irl
then what about the princeps who get interred in their titans like a dread
They arenât connected 24/7
And they still need to maintain the difference between them and the titan
Theyâre the titans master, the pilot
Not the titan themselves
Itâs by choice
It makes them better and more connected with the titan but it wasnât done prior to the heresy
It was a primary loyalist advantage
this lore displeases me. abelard, cut off his balls
They started doing it and it improved their combat ability
to think that warhounds were expendable during the heresy
Also I forgot but being a princeps is one of those rare things that are genetic iirc
Technically but itâs also the hardest target, the best way to disable titans besides other titans is mostly infantry
So the mechanicus does do uh
But thatâs why Securiti exist
You know
they're probably guarded by some elite soldiers
Eugenics
Yeah
Warhounds are expendable in a Legio v. Legio fight I'd assume
so trying to assassinate them would be funny
They donât often leave their titans
And theyâre always guarded by their Legio Skitarti
i wish we could use those imperialis warhounds with the massive cannons in 40k
Direhound is adorable
i like small things carrying oversized guns
Who are quite numerous and fanatical in their devotion to their Legio and princeps
It does happen though
destroyer russ my beloved
i want to see a turreted shadowsword like that recent baneblade kitbash
"private, that titan over the displeases me"
"shall we fire the shadowsword formation sire"
"myesss"
Look at there goddamn iconography
i see some japanese oni shit in there
Which we never get to fucking see cause authors suck
wait is that... thai?
and to think that in Brutal kunning they didn't need to sacrifice those people for the teleportation tech in the gargant
i assume it's lost tech then
Iâm convinced their armor design inspired the awoken/dreaming city aesthetic in Destiny 2
doesnt look the same
No they just donât share
what the hell is that script
Theyâre the Legio for Forgeworld Lucius
No wonder that bitch wanted that gargant teleportation tech
Yeah
Hmm
god damnit
so close
indian inspired stuff in 40k is definitely a pleasant surprise
european/latin stuff is pretty cool, but this stuff is just cooler
i'll take anything that isn't the classic fantasy stuff from celtic and norse
real
I like barbarians in fantasy when your killing them
Like in verm2
me when i play as the original yorrik the 2nd, a muscled bare chest blond guy draped in bear furs and horned helmet
I just watched the trailer for the second episode of the TIthes. with the brief 5 seconds of their appearance, anyone have an idea what Astartes chapter that was?
somebody asks this question but about the arbites unit and 5 people in the replies say that it's solar auxilia
1 person saying it's ultramar auxilia
are they high?
i'm surprised somebody can reach that far into the lore depths to bring out ultramar auxilia despite the dredd ass pauldron being in full view lmao
I'm no lore savant on the Auxilia, but even I know those fossils belong in a museum with how old they are. and how wrecked their numbers were during the Heresy
The marine chapter potentially looks like the White Templars
Who to their horror
Are not sons of dorn

there's also one back shot that looks like scouts
evil black templar be like
LOL
"hmmm what else could we differentiate from the BT? Let's add four streaks near the tips of their cross and switch the colors!"
it doesnt help that it's just the black templar colours but reversed
for tabletop players who really love citadel white i guess (maniacs)
It almost reminds me of the Jerusalem cross that Knights used during the Crusades. if you keep the four streaks but remove the spurred ends and stretch the cross a little further.
I like how one of their lore bits is that when they got presented the "You're Adopted!" card and not actually being related to the IFs( according to the Administratum), they want on a crusade to discover the truth about their origin
They double checked during the new tyrannic war lol
The phalanx was around so they went to get their geneseed tested and turns out they in fact arenât lol
they went on FamilySearch.org on the Noosphere to discover they have no relations
âWe have to be sons of dorn thereâs no way we arenâtâ
the DNA test in question
"You are...NOT THE FATHER!" Dorn starts doing backflips on stage while the White Templars storm off crying
But then who is the father ?
We dunno
Statistically guilliman or lion
The fists still let them on the phalanx and stuff though lol
Because theyâve been assumed to be fist successors so long and attended many like
Feasts of blades
"welcome to the family, son" punch
just like the soul drinkers lol
still dont know what their origin is
and had to be told directly on the phalanx
except soul drinkers also completely died out and the new primaris are even MORE confused
soul drinkers?
The primaris ones
oh lol
i never even thought of that
they needed a gene seed to recreate the chapter
still though it's super weird to imagine what the original's founding chapter is
40k theories made a video about it which is also the thing that got me into them
Despite being officially recorded as an Imperial Fists successor chapter, it would eventually be revealed that the Soul Drinkers were not of Dornian heritage. So who could be the true primogenitors of this renegade chapter?
Featuring Hulkykrow as Commander Gethsemar
https://twitter.com/HulkyKrow
and
Bruva Alfabusa as Malcador
https://www.yo...
i love soul drinkers so much
they're peak 40k classical theater drama
just a chapter doing everything correctly and still being constantly shat on by everything in the galaxy
the fact that there's no clear way to tell where they come from
The primaris finding out sarpadon turned into a spider is funny
40k lore in a out shell
Nut
i need to read that new novella
Half of them decided to follow a heavily mutated librarian after he killed their chapter master
my personal theory is they're part of a lost legion
because i like the idea
and there's no true way to determine where they come from
because they knew what was right
and because they were lied to by a greater demon okay? give them a break
plus they fucking killed that demon afterwards
god that moment was soooooo goose pumps level cool
greater tzeentch demon rips off a chunk of the massive space hulk home just to present himself to sarpedon
BEHOLD, I AM THE EMPEROR
sarpedon activating the soul spear
you ain't my emperor
the sheer fucking commitment to kill the demon that's been manipulating you since the very beginning to go against the imperium
and STILL remaining against the imperium
it's peak ok?
ITS SO PEAK
then they're like, we need to redeem ourselves for this shit
so they
ATTACK A CHAOS PLANET
by this point they're literally trying on purpose to die in combat
yet they manage to kill the greater demon in charge of the planet, cleansing it
the reactions of the nurgle guys are so funny they're like what kind of morons would attack us in a frontal land assault??
Soul Drinkers is a wild series
i love it so much
crazy wild ride
the book after that one is my favorite
because it's the most insane one
ben counter decides to up the stakes even higher by creating a weird psyker creature that's trying to elevate itself to godhood
and it can control entire planets of undead
and half the book is following an inquisitor on the tail of the soul drinkers
always one step behind
The Soul Drinkers were dumb even by space marines standard from the moment the admech cucked them until Sarpedon lost his honorable duel
and it follows a couple of other people too
then at the very end they all cross paths together
and it's SO GOOD
I liked the book 1 and 2 but after that it was a drag for me
I enjoyed the end since you have many points of view during ||the trial of Sarpedon ||
wdym they're dumb
it's the mechanicus that's dumb imo
and the ministorum guy for being such a weak bitch
"We are all getting mutations! Surely it must be the will of the Emperor"
Admech did admech things
As expected tbh
there's also the fact that they meet a supposed emperor worshiper who only managed to survive in a slavery station by praying to his deity, who then convinces them that they're the emperor's chosen
you even see them start the book absolutely hating mutants
I love how 40k books are like a mixture of
Absolute Grimdark and trashy scifi
Like some moments are just directly off of a novel in the 1930's
plus sarpedon never wanted to be the leader
40k cliché of protagonist being put in leadership position because predecessor died
oh yeah that guy
i love when he hooks into the station and talks to the machine spirit lol
graevus or something i think
been a while
also the fact that all the characters die off
i love that about the series, it doesn't do the fucking ultramarines thing of always bringing back characters
Its a good story overall but there are drags in the middle
the DE and ork books
I couldnt give a damn about the scouts
They fucked up everything
ye the DE book has some long boring moments
and the one after it with the chapter civil war is a bit annoying
like they go through the whole process of getting new recruits who can think independently
and of course it backfires
BUT
the DE book is where i got this quote
i need to get it from a year ago
Being a spider must be cool
Basically a Skaven
man, talk about a good opening
i laughed for a good while
it comes out of nowhere
also the book mentions cadia and usarkar creed which i didn't know were a thing in 2008 or whenever they were written
I don't know whether to give or subtract points for not making the obvious sex joke
is there a joke to be made
Yes
I tried to google her and for some reason the Wiki page is in German
Because bdsm
I assume it's her's
"Saretha is a chaos witch of Slaanesh and leader of a chaos cult
On Entymion IV she supported the Dark Eldar in her attempt to open a warptor. She was adored by her followers and everyone would have died for her. Saretha was able to kill other people with the power of their thoughts."
one thing i like doing sometimes is looking up those one off vehicles in books sometimes and you can find wiki pages on them with like 1 phrase
there's a soul drinker one about a deep space patrol craft
i dont remember its name
Anyway, this has interrupted my Aliens lore scrolling
I was just reading about The Woman in the Dark
who is the woman in the dark
Apparently she's a figure that everyone see's after they've been infected by a facehugger
you mean the Goddess?
there's gods in alienverse?
when you said the "Woman in the Dark" i thought you were referring to this 1934 movie I studied in film class
Na
and the real spooky part is that we now have a canon date and story for when she was created in universe, but people started seeing her over 20 years before then.
i forget the alien vs Predator universe can get way too deep sometimes
Nice. I've been rewatching the whole series with the new one that came out
which one's the worst
Tfw Weyland-Yutani work ethics aren't far fetched anymore
This is comic stuff, the RPG surprisingly seems to get even more batshit with the lore
three things matter to me in the Alien Films: Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, and Bill Paxton
and yk where i stopped
ah silly me, forget about ol Jonesy
i really like the cinematography of the first movie
that one short scene in first person with the flamethrower
so good
If there's one thing Aliens is consistent at is being inconsistent with the Xenomorph and their life cycle
i like to lump those monster creatures in the "they're scary because they can do anything" pile
Well they are a hyper adaptive parasitic creature, there's going to be variance based off of hosts
like if xenomorphs had clear life cycles they'd be less scary because you can predict what they can do
I'm mainly just expressing my one critique when I watched Aliens Romulus on how they did that, everything else was satisfactory
alienverse definitely had some weird moments
which alien vs predator had the impregnator thing
like that's straight up a fetish
It's all fetish
ah yeah, my room with all the lights turned off Is somehow CLEARER, then that movie's night time segment
Alien would not be alien without being freaky
naaah i get what you mean but it's supposed to be gross sex not literal fetish
facehuggers are gross af
H.R Giger had some creativity with the biomechanic artstyle
it's not a fetish just because it has sexual themes
Gross sex is gross to people who don't have that fetish
you can do sexual themes without being into it
i dont think that's true
I'm not saying they were explicitly into the themes, but all of it is still fetish
giant alien thing inserting eggs into throat of girl?
seems pretty fetish to me man
yes that's a sex theme i know
but a direct fetish would be something like totally spies
like you can TELL
What the fuck
Hey lets not besmirch the good name of Totally Spies
I grew up watching that show and it was completely normal
and that's why you ended up so normal right
Somehow it ain't the Groin Claw that disturbs me, its what comes after it. a dark perverse nature of life. ya wake up, feeling disoriented and sick, unaware you got 6 pounds of alien worm nestled in your body
and then an unwanted creature comes out of your body
there's some parallels to real life there
The problem is there is significant overlap between what kids find funny and what adults can find erotic or fetish
I'm surprised how most hosts don't notice the extra weight considering how big it gets while inside em
Like watching as a kid I thought "Ha they're all tall now that's funny" not "Giant woman fetish" or "Ha they got muscular but now they're kinda stupid" not "Muscular woman fetish"
i still think the creators were into that
I just wished Prometheus was its own universe and not nestled into the Aliens universe, I kinda missed that mysterious and vague origin of Xenos like in the first film. These Giant ass albinos being the creator of all life.
and destroyers
if you read the original script of prometheus you'll notice that so much is never explained because studio execs cut out a ton
i always hate when that happens no matter how good or bad a film would be
we just see a random guy kill himself at the start and we're supposed to understand that there was a massive civil war before that
Plot twist: he drank Logan Paul and KSI's Prime energy drink
The Deacon (It's not always called the Deacon though and is not to be confused with the Deacon which was made in the movie when the Engineer got infected) created the goo and perfected the Engineers and was basically their god, teaching them genetic engineering, but then the Deacon died and the Engineers tried to use the Goo to recreate the Deacon but instead accidentally created the Xenomorph and many other races all in an attempt to recreate their God.
bro
this shit becoming as deep as halo
I would've been fine if it was just a movie, By itself, not connected with the Xenoverse
and if we're talking RPG lore as well the Engineers also created the Fulfremmen (The Perfected) by genetically enhancing humans who then went on to try and "Perfect" all other forms of life
are the Yautja at least their own thing and not related to the engineers?
Uhh
Ehhh
I love it
But idk if Iâd say itâs a good movie
the deleted scenes make it significantly better
"A doughnut hole in the doughnut's hole. But we must look a little closer. And when we do, we see that the doughnut hole has a hole in its center. it is not a doughnut hole at all but a smaller doughnut with its own hole, and our doughnut is not whole at all!". -this is my take on the complexity of the AVP universe
It has a good movie in there, which sometimes gets cut with a mentally disabled basic as fuck horror movie
From the amount of effort behind it id say its Goodâąïž
not "good"
its still Ridley thinking hes a clever cunt adding christianity symbolism everywhere
Thereâs few movies I love as much and hate as much
a fucking Engineer being Jesus is bad as Big E being big historical figures in history like what some dumbasses think in the 40k fandom lol
Yea Yautja are their own thing, it's implied they've fought wars against the Engineers though
Honestly if he just made everyone a bit smarter and less pants on head stupid horror movie moments
I'll always agree with AVP3 for alien lore, the predators made it as the ultimate prey
But I think we can all agree the biggest slip up in that film: The lack of spatial reasoning these scientists had when running from a massive object plummeting to the ground
AVP3?
80's directors being given all the credit for movies they made with writers and all sorts of other talent
wait....there was avp3?
I forgot they made three of those
Bro is seeing the future movie
Or did they?
oh my god
they mock that in Kong Skull Island
oh thank god
I remember the second being better then the first
that was a meme for a solid year lol
Skull Island is the most brutal PG-13 movie Iâve seen
^
this is me every time there is a child standing as a building is falling on him
I donât know how that shit got away with it
On the film
Like, I ain't know scientist, but i know my chances of survival are better, when Im running to the FREAKING LEFT OR RIGHT
That was a scary monkey! Running for my life... Watch how I die...
WANT MORE?...
Watch how I die in my latest film just released Feb 2021 called Hold The Pass
on Amazon. It's just as intense! Here's the link...

skull island should have cut out the long ass buildup
but yes skull island gave me nightmares as a kid
this is how regular show got away from killing people
just do explosions
Its called building suspense Jay
"long ass buildup"
You do know in Peter Jackson's one it takes an hour to get to the island right.
It's also worth noting that the experiments David does in the Prometheus movies don't ultimately create the Xenomorphs, he's just off doing side projects
And in the movie The ending was just the gorilla fighting some planes
wait is skull island not the peter jackson one
Romulus also thankfully confirms the black goo was made from the xenomorph's genetic material
For those of us who arenât kino Philistines
Skull Island is the reboot franchise stuff, Jackson's is its own thing
which one has the cannibal tribe
Jackson
oh
Jacksons one was the one with the giant bug scene
The Offspring was uh...it kept me up at night
Which is terrifying
Skull island has the tribesmen but they are just fatalistic mute people
Skull island has Kong Kalamari
actual nightmare fuel
its not even funny
im thinking of jackson kne then
id rather fucking die than fall down there holy shit
when the raid can is out of juice
the one with the V rex
Here's the scene
Bugs are creepy enough on their own, but it's even worse when they're as big as you and trying to eat your face. Can the crew, including Jack Black, Adrien Brody, and Andy Serkis survive?

It's horrifying
I remember being pissed off the t-rex died when I was a kid
my brain mentally stays far from those drain holes on sinks because as a kid that claw that grabs the guy trying to climb up the cliff is welded into my brain
