Epic
they're young but not kids
We need them in 30k
mmh cool but i want a mini of a child soldier too
There are literally kids among whiteshields
I want child soldiers in milltia dying in droves to a single sicaran punisher
"Children you call them? They can pull a trigger just as well as veterans, and they have the spirit of a bull narthax. Call them children if you wish - I call them troops. Good troops."
there's no mini
there's that girl from the shitty caida book
they're an "upgrade" for conscripts lol
She's still a whiteshield at that time yes
yeah but she's an adult
or like 17
I forgor
i think it's modelled after her in the cadian book
she isn't one of the literal child white shields
Nerd
here's her art
Why would you remember such a silly thing
she literally just runs around doing nothing the whole book
then finds a plane
and leaves cadia
like
whiteshields are genuinely some fucked up lore
and GW has just kept them around lol
They said the quiet part out loud
in the second cadia book they actually fucking kill the first soldier character we follow and i love it so much lol
Where the marine gyatt sticker when you need it
far away hopefully
There's gotta be at least one homebrew chapter who's geneseed has this kind of genetic mutation
There called the ashen gyatts and there leader is captain tightass
Horrid
rancid even
I sentence you to building 900 points of the new tech thralls
Thanks a lot GW
Do you think some of the old world minis are so old
You can use their mould lines as mould line removers
The metal ones maybe
The resin ones will melt from the friction
If we are talking finecast old
Hey
Hey apple
No
clears throat
Right, no new topics yet
. Tho I'm running a refinement process on the previously explored topics.
imagine tech thralls in imperialis
me running 30k valhallans as tech thrall proxies
I dont hate that actually
we shall overwhelm them with superior numbers and a lot of faith
Gotta make way for the vostroyans somehow
We talked about Cult Mechanicus a while ago... And throughout the months I caught glimpses of discussion about the cult, so I want to throw my hat in, and ask a few questions myself.
Do not insult vallhallans by comparing them with the garbage that is tech thralls smh
Vallhallans can shoot better and hit stuff better
He didnt realize that and im all for it lmao
they're both cannon fodder
Yes
i see it as the same
But vallhallans are higher quality cannon fodder
slightly
The only upside thralls have is the Archmagos prime can get some mostly dead dude to keep going
Lol
Let them die
That way the vostroyans can do the work
💀
valhallans only downside is their name
i am true and honest
norse mythology can suck my
seriously though what is it with fantasy settings and norse stuff
is it because roman era?
Because bare chested men
It’s cool
I’d also like to thank Riot for not using exclusively Norse mythology for their snowy region

Slave Mythos is under utilised tbh
I think people are uncomfortable using it
For some obvious reasons
I think it's mostly that people don't really know of it
Maybe
slav mythos is a bit more modern than norse i believe
Not sure why they would be uncomfortable tbh
it was less cohesive
and honestly it's probably because norse was roman period
and brits LOVE romans
and 80's pop culture had norse mythology reduced to bare chested men with axes and horned helmets
who somehow defeated the great and mighty roman army
giant lightning bear is my favorite God in league of legends
because fantasy inspiration is pop culture history
yes
Know i get it
you didnt explain it
Can't believe they ripped off Ursun smh
Wait what is Romans period ? Like Roman empire ?
Ursun is actually a good person
You want people to get inspiration from stuff beyond pop culture
you think pop culture knows the difference?
Volibear is genuinely an asshole lol
just vague rome
But Norse isn't Roman period
Beastman mindset
he smashes a fucking dam and floods half the town after saving the town because he thinks they're weak and soft
LOL
my whole point is it's just fucking stupid
and he tells them to become stronger
Go ahead
like somehow half of japan was ninjas according to 80's pop culture
Ok
The Japanese didnt help with that too
Nippon
And the other half was Samurai
Meanwhile araby
The Toyota clan incident
Araby and Nippon are so fucking bad lol
"the evil sorceror lord jaffar"
Araby is perfedt
jaffart
I see no problem with it
does he come from affar
Toyota clan number 1 peak writing

Did Araby get the rewrite after Kislev did its first ?
not on my watch
shut up
no u
smh
The first section of the cult mechanicus; is to properly understand their religion. During the Age of Strife. How do they come into contact with the Omnissaiha
League of Legends has good lore
Nobody should write lore, bunch of nerds
wath
tallarn desert raiders being a perfect excuse to mix in arabian musketeers with their awesome jezails but no
They didn't the Omnissiah wasn't met according to the Cult Mechanicus until The Great Crusade
They basically formed while being isolated on Mars
and then they spread
i should be the only person in the world allowed to write lore for anything imo
during the age of strife
the starfish returns from the rock with a question
religion of the cult mechanicus came to form during that period ye
The Cult mechanicus like
Oh, interesting
Riot managed to make their Mishmash Southeast Asia + East Asia region not racist or violently stupid, GW can do the same I'm sure
Depend on who you ask.
Biggest answers are the Emperor (official) or the Void Dragon
Most have not met them
they didn't make them in the 80's tbh
So what's the rank structure in terms of worship. At the top of the top, is there a Tech Pope?
good thing we evolved past the 80's and fantasy isn't still the same cultural stereotypes
oh wait
Fabricator-General is the big shot
Fabricator-General of Mars is on top
I mean today's cathay is completely fine and cool
below him are the Fabricator generals of other forgeworlds
so it evolved
the actual hierarchy of the adeptus mechanicus is uhhh
of course you have a graph
the mechanicus is a political clusterfuck
i love it
its so fun
I do have my grievances with Cathay
the funniest part is somebody attempted to piece together this shit
They're underdeveloped right now but with time it'll get better
Outer circle did a good video on space marine legion logistics, its actually pretty good
Bot most don't come from 'Not China' and more so about the Warhammer specific parts
Ok, so if you're not from Mars.... How do you join Cult Mechanicus, if possible??
You're born into it, you get scouted out
thats it
besides there's other forgeworlds beyond Mars
My friend did this over the course of 2 years from every single sourcebook and novel at the time, its largely extremely accurate with only slightly outdated bits
Nah, they've developed certain parts in ways that I very much dislike
like what
the only innacurate part is the lack of Skitarii Marshal lol
seesm fine to me
they just go between Skitarii Alpha Primus
Smh
and the actual tech priest
i dont blame him for not updating it
lol
Its outdated
im honestly surprised somebody can even piece this stuff together as if writers follow any guideline
The hierarchy does exist, its more that authors cant ever show it for jack shit.
its why all you get is Magos Magos Magos Magos
so there's actually guidelines for 40k authors??
and nothing else
Cathayan Magic system/theory is just garbage association they did instead of revamping it through the lore to make it match
I mean yeah, GW said it themselves
but he's like
every single title on that graph is from an actual canon material
you're telling me there's a room somewhere with like graphs and shit showing the forbidden imperial structure
I mean they have an actual god at the helm of their faction
Xi....
no
The Cawl Book has like actual diverse ranks 💀
along with
magos magos magos
Magic still come from Chaos mate
GOD
Its so funny lol
EVERY TIME I SEE "MAGOS" I GET PTSD
genuinely mind shattering to me that somebody at GW keeps track of lore
literally do any other rank you uncreative cunts
comes form the realm where chaos resides
Now, looking into the beliefs of Cult Mechanicus. They worship the Omnissaiha and every machinery that he would be "embedded" in. What is the exact classification of a "machine spirit"? Is it by just mechanical components, analog, and/or electrical components?
Magos: The Gathering
Come from the Chaos gate
They worship a holy trinity of the Machine God, Omnissiah and motive Force
Machine spirits are essentially just anything
artillery, lights, generators, doors, etc
that's just the name of the gates it doesn't come from chaos iself
anything with some large enough mechanical compartment
according to the religon
like a basic light system has a machine spirit
its just small
and easy to appease
the Ordinatus has a machine spirit that thirsts for violence and blood
fun reminder that you have more chances of dying in the mars catacombs than most death worlds
ect.
The truth of magic is that it all come from Chaos, even divine one, even the Kislevite one
read "catacombs" as "car bombs"
Literally an under 1% survival rate in canon
Thats where mr land found his stc!
I'm sure there's carbombs down there
and that's in the solar system
Land literally vanished going down a second time lol
literally next to terra
Anyone remember g1 transformers the nation of carbombia?
i can see it so it can't be that far
yes it comes from the REALM of chaos but it's not chaos alligned or anything like that
Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya
A voice actor left the cast over that naming
lmfao
Its brilliant
was this made in the 50's
So this would have a machine spirit?
yes
now that's pygmie tier
any functional machine has a spirit
your laptop has a machine spirit
And this one?
yes
a Keurig Coffee machine
This would count too?
Any
this shit has a machine spirit according to Mechanicus religous doctrine
machinery
keep in mind that souls exist in 40k and that skews a lot how programs work since they sorta have their own tiny souls
so cars have souls which are machine spirits
Something I'd see straight out of the Metro videogames
so even though the car isn't alive, it has a soul which yes is weird
this thing mas a machine spirit as well
Hmm
Machine spirits also range from not actually a thing
if the car was alive it would be termed silica animus
to being very real
Holy shit soy marines
or AI
and mechanicus would kill it
and more advanced vehicles
ships have lots of machine spirits
the more complex something gets the more "alive" it seems
we also dont know what a machine spirit is
since it has 3 answers
and is left in the air for writer purposes
^
Hmm
Yeah its either
- Actual spirit
- Leftover AI
- Effects of the Void Dragon beneath Mars
sometimes it feels like it's just a guy talking to a toaster
also the Dragon of Mars is fucking weird
it might not even be the void dragon anymore
as of the necron lore rewrite
💀
its just cretura
large enemy dragon
So what divides a machine having a machine spirit to "volunteer laborer" (servitors)?
a servitor is alive
It's just an actual honest to god dragon
Like magic in fantasy has 8 winds, which can be mixed if you "know" how to do it
- Aqshy/Fire->Fire
- Chamon/Metal->Metal
- Azyr/Celestial-Sky->Stone
- Gurr/Beast->Wood
- Ulgu/Shadow->Darkness
- Shyish/Death->Spirit
- Hysh/Light->Light
- Ghyran/Life->Water
Azyr should have been Water, as it centre also on things like the rains, blizzards and such
Gurr should have been spirits, as it's shamaning
Ghyran should have been Wood, as it's much more about the plants than water
Hysh could be light yes, but also could have taken stone (you know, if you read the lore of it)
Ulgu shoudln't be darkness, as it's much more about light manipulation than creating darkness
Shyish should be Darkness cause they have spells about it
it's official
its not "most"
some
its just what people say to excuse their existence
Criminals in the Imperium can be bloody innocent
also this yeah
nah i think it's just a way to justify the shere amount of servitors
a "crime" can just be you stealing a bread to not starve
but yeah imperium fucked up etc
Why would you need to justify it, humans are countless
then vat grown
criminal discourse
just starve and shut up
God i love that movie
the upside to vat grown
is they're more consistent
and you can pre lobotomize them

Isnt caffeine outlawed in judge dredd lmao
whatever doesn't matter i know the overall theme of servitors is "fucked up"
or they come out pre lobotomized lol
So are servitors used in more complex systems? Like the medicay station or thay archivum place?
shut up gayboy
ok
they are used everywhere
doors
cleaning
driving
Cogitators and Servitors are used everywhere
Smh stand up for youself
Servitors are useful for like
more advanced stuff
Cogitators are like
computer stuff
i'm a switch
guh
any job you see someone you do on the street a servitor is probably assigned to do it in 40k, down to cleaning a toilet lol
Hmmm
We love lobotimized labor
or opening a door
Police brutality coming up!
servitors can be used by enforcers as added muscle
that's arbites sector buckarino
im reading the eisenhorn book
Do Cogitator have bio stuff in it ?
and i shit you not an arbites says MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN when raiding a house
They usually don't, some have some brain tissue
like an actual cop
now that I think about it, if there's people starving in a hive, just turns them into servitors, save them from dying in shame and grant them eternal service, problem solved
free range pre servitors
So why do the priests turn themselves into cyborgs??
arbites depicted as space police is so fucking awesome
Religous doctrine
they come closer to the machine god
Arbites are space feds
because flesh weak
so it's like, free infinite servitors glitch I love the starving !!!
The more flesh you have the smaller the balls
Federales
Thats why
tbf
yes and seeing them doing cop stuff... in 40k... is so fucking weird and funny
replacing yourself with synth flesh
is also allowed
just
replace your old weak body
with better flesh and steel
i need to get into dredd one day
the movie is so good
i hope the comics are as good
it's an interesting universe
I dunno how to keep up with the dredd slop
is it slop?
you keep up with 30k slop
fuck
its no different
Dredd is one of the most popular characters in media
so yeah
might be better slop tbh
it eventually turns to slop like most things
i thought it was political satire
i mean it is
It is
lol
They had a crossover with xenomorphs
40k literally stole the entire concept of Arbiters from it
without the satire
no its still satire
“Nothing will bring me back to life faster then a big bag of Disney cash mate”
doesnt the dredd universe literally have its own trump
The creator of dredd is a weirdo though
Deadpool and Wolverine mocking itself is literally one of the best parts of the movie
just look at the vibe of arbites and dredd,
they both have those helmets
He is like, some weird objectivist dude
yeah that part is obvious
Also arbites were originally like
yeah but Dredd came first
the shoulder pad and helmet
to make their frown visible
Arbites are literally entirely Dredd
theres virtually no difference
you can paint an arbites in the dredd color scheme and no one will notice it's not the Judge
and they REALLY like shotguns
Because police
So do tech priests have religious holidays? (This one is a throwaway question)
Sort of
It’s usually maintenance and such
Tech priest religious holidays are usually work related still
Fixing stuff
Maintaining equipment
Ect.
Mechanicus gunpla holiday
Turn off the forges and stuff, fix it up
Then shove the menials back on the line after it’s over
it's getting there
they will always be dread parodies, cant get away from it
From judge dredd to misters of battle
Im just glad they exist for people thinks police satire is old news.
that acorn cop was the most 40k shit in recent memory
There’s always gonna be similarities but they’ve done some stuff to adjust their look in recent years

Its never old
Innocent people need to get shot once in awhile for uh
"resisting arrest"
shouldnt have been homeless

I’m still not sure lol
They have cams yeah
From DBS episode 56 dub.
It was intentional. The voice actor for Trunks needed multiple attempts
Their body cams so they can record their actions and post them on medal on the noosphere
im so glad they got models in agents
Noosphere is for mechanicus only
they even got a whole riot control squad
Smh
bro idk
Iirc it’s so they can see what the others are seeing and their handlers can too
the internet equivalent
40k liveleak
I’m sure some skitarii has like a compilation of beating slaves to death
Depends on the world
"Hello Magos Nation, welcome to the stream"
I think literally every skitarii character GW has written is unhinged in some manner
Which is great
Noosphere this, noosphere that, you ever knew a girl?
“Thanks for the plasteel donos”
"we're only marginally less expendable and more useful than humans and we'll tell you about it"
"shoutout to S3rV0_Sambones for the resub!"
Free servitor giveaway when we reach the subgoal
“One sec guys this genestealer cultist is trying to stream snipe me.”
“Guys please stop Arbitesing the stream.”
Did Dilara always have a shield next to her name?
here's the worst part. The Admech streamer uses a Vtuber rig
Yeah
all the servitors in chat advertising for low quality plasteel 🙄
Huh
“Am I gonna pay my servo mods? Hah, that’s a good joke hisinfinitemercy41”
First time noticing it
“Hey magos, thanks for the streams im your biggest fan, can you react to this squig cooking video?”
what would they base their content on? Those unboxing merchandise ones?
Cooking in the kitchen content but its just Biologis shenanigans
How about a magos with just bad political opinions
the admech twitter would be worse than the current one
“Bro BRO! The scope was never meant for that fucking rifle! The fucking sacred texts only mention iron sights!”
"customer came in asking why i charge this much for lasgun repair"
“Confirmation: In my hundreds of years of operation, I have encountered many subjects assigned the female gender? Interrogative: How does this relate to the noosphere?”
Ok
There’s one in the new Cawl book
“Command Phrase: Commence self-cessation of motor and life support functions.”
Ok, so in their terms of taboo. Are hereteks and the dark Imperium the same or different?
He keeps on digging his hole deeper
Herereks and the dark mechanicum are different
The dark/true mechanicum refers to the traitors from the heresy
And their sucessors
Hereteck are a broader term
You can be a Hereteck without being part of the Dark Mechanicum
Can also be Chaos Hereteck without being part of the other
Xenarites for example would be Hereteks
Ooooh
Also lubricant cult, lol

So, how does a tech priest commune with a machine's "spirit"?
i cannot understate how important lubrication is in the world of mechanics
if they can worship silicon they can worship lubrication
indeed

hey eternal
👊 got your nose
They talk
“Error: command not received, sender’s female biological parental unit is obstructing transmission. Hypothesis: excessive mass”
Like in a "hey pretty mama lemme whisper in yo ear" or a "oh blessed machine spirit what do you need"?
Both

they use long, hard, throbbing make connectors
They communicate either directly with their mind using a mind impulse unit, connect physically through a port, or chant binaric (binary)/lingua technis, or any combination of the three
Yeah the MIU
to put in the needy awaiting soaking wet female connectors
It gets bigger when i pull on it.
Hmmm
“Detecting increased peripheral blood volume in subject”
So if a machine is malfunctioning or the "spirit" isn't cooperating. How do they fix it?
“Hypothesis: circulatory malfunction?”
They talk some more
They entreat it with long complex rituals while they perform other long complex rituals to repair physical ailments
Simply replacing a gear requires a several hour long ritual
They were turning people into lubricant
Maybe half an hour of necessity demands
What if it's internally complex, or an electrical malfunction??
it'll take longer
rituals can last from like a few minutes
to a multi day long process
They’d perform like the fuckin uhh “ritual of conduction” while praising the motive force
Would it require the "glowy magic box"? For like data restoration
Usually the tech priest Is the hardware used
I mean technically people turn themselves into lubricant a lot just in small quantiti- hey where did you get that hammer?
LOL
it depends
™️
Sometimes for unruly machine spirits just not cooperating they’ll use technological violence to assert their will
Censure codes and data lashes
So a "percussive" maintenance.
Usually though they treat the device and machine with reverence though
bad machine spirits get the rod
No like a mental attack
Ok
They would never strike a holy machine usually
And only if the spirit has forgotten it’s masters
Only lesser individuals would result to such tactics.
In terms of percussive maintenance
only if the machine becomes very uncooperative
You’d probably be shot if an enginseer saw you beating a machine to make it work
Or like violent
When it’s not supposed to be
the thing with admech is they don't do direct methods lol
Ok
their whole shtick is they do way too many steps
There would be no point if the omnissiah is not honored
probably still involves like 20 steps to appease the machine spirit
No
there's one called the "technical knock"
and the other more uh
violent one
which has you pray
i stand corrected then
before doing it lol
So what I read, about the cult. They have their own language. Is there an alphabet translation display to understand what they say? Also are the symbols on the glowy magic box their language?
I love how most Mechanicus’ jobs are just to do things that don’t matter to machines that havent worked for millennia
"With a honeyed whisper and ritual motion, you can awaken sleeping gun-spirits into furious action once more. You may unjam any gun as a Half Action. You must touch the gun in question to enact this rite. You may only perform this rite on one weapon per Round—any more would be disrespectful."
As a vocal language
The glowy magic box is not their language
it's like how not eating pork was a way to prevent diseases back in the day. scripture can literally be common sense passed down through millenia
they're just generic imperial runes
Ooooh
The Cant mechanicus has a written form
but its unclear wtf it looks like
Generally speaking it sounds odd
Interesting
garbled human speech, strange bursts of audio and binary
all of that comes together to make it a "language"
Well I'm still illiterate on that
because mechanicus is backwards
based dialect
So what would be considered the most "HOLIEST" of relics to them?
an intact or partially intact STC
as in standard template constructor
not a standard template construct
If I remember correctly their blueprints of the past?
intact STC like wolf said
you ask it to
if an intact STC even exists
using resources that are marked for avaiable to it
since we have no existing proof
Isn’t it called like hexamathics or something?
but by god do Trillions die for it
I vaguely remember from forges of mars
500 cigarettes
mechanicus assumes humanity had 1 single repository of knowledge and idk why the community takes their word for it

We know standard template constructors are a thing
and they can make nearly anything
there's just no known intact ones
like if an "intact" STC existed they prob would have found one by now
The construct that they fight is so old, it wasn’t around when hex was invented so they speak it as for it fi not overhear
most likely
But that won't stop the mechanicus lol
again
most likely STC's were just all local shit imo
They are
since we know humanity wasn't very united
but they can still like
print shit out
The mechanicus only recovers fragments or the constructs of them
and wanna hear my headcannon wolf
never an intact constructor
lets hear it
Either way The Mechanicus are honestly delusional for thinking there might be a fully intact constructor
so rhinos and land raiders were supposedly available to most colonists back in the day
but its cool
My favorite RT moment is the primitive adept you can find speaks to machines using a drum to speak primative binharic and it actually works
and the old lore for them states that they were made pretty early on in humanity's history
Might be enough partially intact ones though to piece it together (they’ll never figure it out)
my theory is that since humanity was a lot more united during early dark age they could make most STC's have land raider and stuff in them
I c I c
LOL
but the more time went on the more it became fragmented
and different worlds made their own STC's
it's just a way to unite land raider tech being not that advanced with STC's
it's very early dark age tech which is cannonical
STCs we’re tools to quickly adapt tools for the world being colonized
It’s not intended for long term use or habitation
it makes more sense to me that the more common imperial STC tech is from an early dark age
and the more esoteric shit comes from later when humanity was super divided and off doing weird experiments
So cawl is correct in saying that the ancients didn’t just blindly follow STCs for their more advanced tech needs
them being used long term makes sense
for basic shit tbf
Well yeah
But not like to build a utopia
Just to quickly conquer and establish footholds on colonization targets
i dont think of them as like some sort of GECK tool from fallout
With available resources
actually no they were GECK's
It’s like the fabricator from Subnautica
Uses data from the environment to come up with recipes for basic needs
but yeah the idea that some single repository of knowledge existed is just nonsensical
unless a whole world was giant computer
which would be cool ngl
votaan STC's are probably more AI than STC
which can think of new stuff
same as that necromunda gang
Tbf
the Van Saar STC is explictly an Standard template constructor
thats incredibly fucked up
so it just spits out whatever the fuck it wants
Ancestor Cores are unclear what they are but they do share a lot of elements with constructors
yeah like an AI just garbling its prompts
Van Saar STC output: 3 piles of scrap metal, 1000 las guns, and a random metal statue/j
1000 vortex grenades which require you to sing a love song to activate
What’s your guy’s favorite lines in DT when a character goes down?
1 steve coin (pure liquid helium)
so is the new killteam planet the same one as the last one with the krieg vs orks
It’s the same as the notivitates vs pathfinders one
The ork vs krieg planet got eaten
lol
so it's not explained why everything around the hive with the massive cannon is annihilated right
and in the ork story he says it looks more like the structures were downed by concussive blasts instead of any dakka
They scramble through more ruined structures, most of which look to have been brought down by shock waves, or maybe even earthquakes, rather than any kind of dakka.
so doesn't this imply that the cannon destroys the surrounding habs whenever it fires?
that's pretty metal
I KNOW WHY I DONT LIKE THE VESPIDS
THEY ARE ORANGE
omg they would look amazing in blue or green or something
yellow
YELLOW
YESSS
Then
yeah in the reveal video the guy says he'd paint his yellow lol
Fucking paint them that way
Then go into photoshop and change the gradients smh
Gonna paint your Iron Hands yellow smh

Jokes on you they’d still look baller
pintle bolter firing by itself
superior iron hand technology
They do have a system where the marines are more plugged into their vehicles and more automated so one marine can drive a vehicle effectively
Also miiiiggghhhhhtttt have some autonomy to their vehicles and armor
It’s just the machine spirit don’t worry

btw do iron hands just not get many recruits or do they get a lot and so many die that barely make it into the ranks
Stop trying to check under the hood
Basically how it’s explained is, it’s very lethal to be a Iron Hand early in your service
But as you live longer they tend to die much less
They lean very top heavy with ancient marines
is that because of experience or augments
Both, but the augmetics play a big part
Scouts are straight up sent on missions most chapters would only use full marines for
Very sink or swim
And you’re still put into the crucible after becoming a full marine
But eventually your odds flip and you’re much less likely to die, they note that they often go full campaigns without any actual casualties
Or fatalities I guess
Just injuries which they can repair and replace
but they also dont fight fights they arent sure they can win right
Oldest example who isn’t a dread being almost 1200 years old
holy shit
They choose their battles carefully and typically won’t take risky fights where they might lose a lot for no gain
They basically weigh the costs and benefits
If it’s a world without much value they probably won’t, but they almost might ignore a Forgeworlds calls for aid if they deem it not worth the potential cost
Or if it’s too pivotal then they’ll run simulations on how many marines and what not they might lose and see if it’s worth it
Worth noting the clans don’t agreed always on what’s of value and what’s not so they won’t always agreed on deployments
They also actively discourage people asking them for aid so no one asks unless they really need it
They also have to weigh how undermanned they’ll leave Medusa
if only blood angels did that last one
Blood Angels tbf had to deal with an insanely large Nid fleet
But they’ve lost almost their entire chapter for lamer reasons in the past
Which is how Dante became chapter master actually
He was Captain of Logistics and Supplies when they lost every single other captain and their chapter master on a space hulk, so he was promoted by default
And it’s worked out since then, but prior to being CM he wasn’t seen as exceptional, beyond achieving captain rank it didn’t seem likely he’d become CM
if i had a nickel every time an important 40k character was promoted to an important position because they were the only one left alive to fulfill it
I do enjoy how largely he was unexceptional before becoming CM
The most exceptional thing he did was not drinking blood lol
Which made him get called a weirdo

lol custodes kill team only has 2 units in it
18 wounds each
jesus fucking christ
I thought it was 3
sounds like pain to play
Since it’s 2 fireteams
just 3 guys
Bad for objective stuff
Yeah
For both custodes and sisters of silence
I think statistically custodes 1 melee fight kill any operative
Unless you roll absurdly hot
Just wait until we get the knight Killteam
also i can use my heavy intercessors in kill team
which is nice
i doubt they're good but still
so you're supposed to like upgrade your killteam every time you win?
That’s for the narrative mode but you get stuff in it
i only need to find killteam people now
So odd question, but do all Blood Angels successors have Sanguinary Guard or other unique units ran by them?
Ye
I wanna try to convert a blood angel into a soul light grave lord
Almost all I think
There are chunky soulblgihts to be fair
Like the wolf
OH right lol
A buff as shit soulblight would be baller
I’ve been trying to find nice ideas for kitbashproxies for all the named soulblight characters (not counting the underworlds ones)
Another odd question, but if you could each of the founding chapters their own unique unit, any ideas what you would pick?
Mine has a ‘custom’ unit lore wise, my chapter works for the Ordo Astra and the inquisitor’s body guards each are from a different planet that had to be exterminatused for being too dangerous
‘Oh yeha the core of this planet is a ancient monster, grab their best warrior and bomb it’
OH
I MISREAD FHAY SORRY
Hey, that's okay!
Holy shit I might be dyslexic
HH shows all of the founding chapter’s unique units
Some more so then others
I should have refined the question a bit more.
It’s good
Basically, in 40k, what unit could you see each of the founding chapters having to make them unique to that chapter.
Giving the rest of the chapters their own unique units like Death Company or Wulfen.
Helfathers or a proper Iron Father kit for IHs
I want Raven gaurd to get a shadow masters killteam or something
That or a unique vehicle or dread model
I love Raven gaurd lore it’s so dog shit edgy
Moritats for RG would be cool
That Land Raider that can carry a dread would be cool for the Iron hands.
I want ultra marines to get like, sudo hq unit? Hard to explain, but something to explain but a unit of councilors that act similar to an HQ
‘Pick one of the following effects for units within 8 inches of this unit
tactical positioning: +1 to armor saves if unit didn’t move
Ect ect ect
White scars need an elite biker unit obviously
Maybe something like a motorcycle chariot.
I love that but there is no way they can make that work in 40k
We need a fucking CAPTIAN ON BIKE. GW
GE
GW
Two bikes pulling a dreadnaught on wheels along?
Just say the white scars found their own STC and were the first to try it.
Maybe like, a super 4 wheeler what ever it’s called
White scars hate dreads
Maybe, captain on bike and like, a bike unit of the company heroes
And a bike ancient
Captain on a jet bike?
DA already did that
