Alright besides the angry raccoon and better genghis khan what other pets did the primarchs have
Where is his fucking ride
they need to chill with the lightning bolt
Lorgar had Kor Phaeron
is Kor Phaeron his mount
Iirc the Lion had a horse too
didnt magnus have a cat
Mf wears STILTS in his termie armor bruh
Obviously Russ had Freki and Geri
The lion doesn't have a war lion?
guilliman had an eldari
Magnus killed them so they wouldnt have to be near Russ' cringe any longer
Shut the fuck up

LMAO
SHUT THE FUCK UP
Who are also staggeringly huge
Nope he didn’t
She survived, it just made her more irritable
NOOOOOOOOOOO
Those dogs had that dawg in them
Gay jay leaked shopping list
eh i've seen worse
well sure, but I don't think those are allowed here
it works like pinnocio
It is very concerning that lying extends your penis but if that's your kink then go i guess
Does Lorgar even like Kor Phaeron?
i dont think lorgar likes many things
And look how that turned out
As immensely satisfying as it was to watch Kharn wipe the floor with Erebus, I'd rather that Argel Tal lived.
is that a beaked scion helmet what the hell is that
Animation error
in the other shots he has a normal helmet
Personally I think the beaked tactical helmet looks pretty cool
its pretty alright
beaked helmets look original i admit
but not in guardsmen, please
opposite shit
astartes yes
It's a slideshow, how did this pass quality control?
That is not comforting.
it happens
you see it all the time in lower budget animation
is there an actual reason why scions are given hot shot lasguns instead of bolters
because hotshots are more reliable than bolters in their eyes
bolters are also not really a fitting weapon for the things they get deployed into
Backpack provides near limitless shots for their missions vs needing to carry bolter mags around
Also this ^
Pew pew pew
bolters are gay
Except forever

wtf is going on here https://i.imgur.com/Vl7a3g9.jpeg
oh that person is named lorgar
Also you should.
this fanbase has the most toxic tendency to talk down to people for just using weapons they like

Well yeah, but for the military application, lasguns are seriously a better option. The infinite ammo bit sort of trumps pretty much anything autoguns can do
😮💨
Of course, I use autoguns at every opportunity because logistics are not the guardsman problem, leave it to others to figure out.
bullet good
The sound of a large caliber gun has some very real suppressive impact
Plus, orks respect it more so.
Dunno why would you wanna earn the respect of one, but hey, it sounds cool, i get it
Because if you do, then you are made stronger because of their whole reality bendy bit.
Also, Armageddon Ork hunters are pretty neat.
Source?
Marines ability to carry bolters is largely predicated on them also being able to carry a shitton of heavy ammo on their person, very accurate fire, their bolters having a stronger payload because their size, and their ability to more easily call in support
Also it’s their thing
Yeah well look for all those power cells on guard models too, we play pretend
They do have them have more pouches and stuff now at least
GW deffo knew at this point lol
Space Marines store all their spare bolter ammo in their shoulder pads
many instances of internal compartments within the armour for ammo 🤓
They store it riiiiigggghhhhtttt up your butt

The machine spirit creates the ammo
Rip
Wasnt there lore that terminators store ammo in there shins or something silly?
They can't even reach down there
The ammunition appears as needed unless they are supposed to run out of ammo for dramatic reasons
i thought hot shot lasguns exploded if you looked at them funny
Plasma guns, maybe?
me reading about tactical marines shooting waves of nids for hours straight
I like to try and keep track of the ammunition usage in the books.
thats if you overheat them
LIKE A FUCKING NUMBSKULL
its like a 50.cal, its gonna blow up or melt if you abuse it
The only instance of low ammo I can remember is in the second Word Bearer book
M2HB's are like the most reliable weapon ever created that's a bad example
If your gun is glowing, the barrel melting and making a really high pitched whining noise, obviously you need to keep shooting.
With the genestealers
its literally the same thing
hotshots are not volatile unless you literally actively abuse the gun
lol
To be fair, there are plenty of .50 cal guns out there.
there's literally M2's being used that date back to WW2
aside from the M2
i just wanted to share that fact
its about how its a strong gun but can literally get damaged if you fire it non-stop
it's a very cool fact
Although I can personally attest to the fact that if you break an M2 by shooting it too much, it's because you were trying to break it.
god be sending anyone just to annoy you
i dont remember which part of the M2 has a tendency of breaking but it requires severe lack of lube to get to that point
yeah pretty much, same applies to hotshots
or like
guns are like sex, dont go dry
any high-power automatic weapon tbh
The recirpocating barrel can sometimes cause trouble with cycling if there's no lube. After a bit, it strats to shear away the guide rails.
oh right yeah
Which, the gun will still shoot but it will be noticably sluggish.
A broken firing pin can cause the same issue.
Hot shots have really good armor penetration right?
Yeah theres a reason only elite troopers get them
yes and pretty much no need to reload
Compared to a normal lasgun, I mean
they arent that heavy
they get very heavy carapace
as long as you got proper training its not even a factor
The backpack probably accounts for most of the weight
yeah that's what i meant
I imagine the weapon itself isn't all that bad
the gun itself is prob just a slightly heavier lasgun
scions are also like Seal Team 6 on crack so they barely notice it ontop of that considering they've been trained with the weapon half their life
with heavier barrel
the lexi actually goes into a lot of detail
which is odd for a guard gun
there's an automatic kill switch that prevents shooting when the gun gets too hot
but you can turn it off lol
I'd be really interested in the inner workings of lasguns because that would help explain a lot of the how and whys of it all. But I know that's a hard ask given how writers usually handle things.
3rd edition rulebook says lasguns actually work with lasers
but i prefer imagining lasguns as shooting solid projectiles since writers never seem to use laser physics
I prefer the idea of Lasbolts
also guard models not having a lot of mags makes sense considering how many rounds power packs can hold
Despite these features the weapon has a reputation for unreliability and requires a lot of maintenance to keep functional. Massive stress is placed on the recharge generator due to the amount of power passing through it during automatic fire, leading to a drop in rate of fire if it is not properly maintained, and the power couplings can become quickly worn causing variations in shot power. Despite the refrigeration unit excess heat created by the type XIV's overpowered shots, especially when firing in automatic, places addition stress on the barrel. This can cause warping and a loss in accuracy after repeated uses, though an automatic cut-off switch will kick in to prevent firing until the weapon returns to normal temperatures. The overpowered shots also create a large muzzle flash which reveals the firer's position, and the delicate calibrations needed to keep the sight functional leads to many Guardsmen simply disabling it.
here's a quote on the krieg hot shot
it's directly states that guardsmen hate these guns because of how finnicky they are lol
That sounds annoying from a soldiers perspective
These are scions lmao, irl militaries don't even use full auto that much so to have a heat limiter on the scions of all things is silly lol
automatic is very good from a suppressing standpoint
the US army tried removing full auto from its main rifle and it didn't really go well
Redundancy doesn't hurt
And I mean like
Consider that they're either probably outnumbered or fighting stuff that takes a bunch of hits
also like
special forces have different brains
they can use full auto as effectively as pro tarkov players lol
idk how to explain it but it's insane what they do
full auto is only problematic for troops who haven't seen action since there's a big tendency to fire their entire magazines at once due to the adrenaline
it's why the US army tried switching to burst fire, it overrides the adrenaline and forces you to carefully place your shots
but again they reversed that decision
i imagine a scion would be able to perfectly fire a volley at an ork and switch targets almost instantly
Having fired a rifle in burst mode at a shooting range, it just feels off. Like somehow I’m comfortable in both semi auto or full auto, but it’s weird when shooting in burst.
i've not met many people who enjoyed shooting burst. it looks good on paper but it's a weird crutch which assumes a person isn't capable of firing controlled groups
I remember a story from a sentry in an active combat area about how he ended his shift, climbed down from his post, checked his ammo count and saw his rifle was empty and couldn't understand it because he was convinced he'd only fired 3 shots during his watch.
a burst fire mode done right would be like an AN-94
it's an insanely overengineered weapon with the sole purpose of being able to fire two shots before the user can even feel recoil
Was there an explanation as to why that gun had its magazine angled to the right by a few degrees?
i dont remember ever finding out why. it's probably related to the firing mechanism
Sources in the know say it looked cool

Ah I forgot this channel discusses this weapon, and I’ve seen multiple videos of there coverage on different guns.
very good source of information
Love their stuff though
They’re my go to channel if I want a brief detail on guns I’m not fully aware of or prototypes that never made it to large scale manufacturing.
Big kaka
Old as hell these kits are, I think these came out like after Gundam was a success
arbites got the whole riot squad in action
I'm always a sucker for models displayed like this
GW kinda forgot about Deathwatch
Even with non Warhammer stuff like legos or other toys
It looks cool
It's nice to see sisters of battle marching along with the misters of battle, the arbites
arbites needed the rep
finally the coolest sub faction on regular tabletop in their full force
An 94 hyperburst is cool
Aek971 has a interesting counterweight design for controlling recoil
little horus
He ain't Lupercal though
where is this from

OH SHIT BLACKTALON
okay nevermind thats actually a good show at least
what i've seen for cinematics, we got Arbites, SOS and the XVI legion?
also AoS, and hammer and bolter apparently
Blacktalon is always good
also if you get WH+ you get a special gun in SM2
which means we'll have to log in with our WH account
gun? not a skin for gun?
skin
knew it
i still regret not getting that stream skin for darktide
i havent seen it appear again
and i'm an exclusivity whore
she heard them talking shit
wonder what her name is going to be. Sister Non Loqui?
For lack of being able to talk shit back she's just going to murder them
to be fair THEY DO get normal names
Maybe she's on her way to kill Lupercal
Oh yeah? They why don’t they say them?
Hmm?
albino sororitas with speech impediments
Sisters of Silence are my favorite type of women. No I don’t know what 40k is.
nah sisters of battle
Unironically I would toast heretics for hours for Argenta
or dark eldar for their style
i understand completely the desire to burn heretics
flamethrowers are the kinds of weapons you
uh
enjoy
large cannons too
wat
no I'm trying to figure out if that was a sexual innuendo
We enjoy her large cannons, and also her enormous breasts
ah thank you Eternal
Gods bless Bessie
perhaps its to reference the black legion
to kill what Horus stood for and remove the blood that courses through his sons.
Might be a HH animation tbh
oooh
honestly funny that this wasn't the first thing you all thought of
anytime buddy

Sending a Titan to assassinate Horus is a pro move tbh
mood
i remember when it got to this scene when i watched the movie as a kid. my first thought was "is this an acid trip?"
lorewise how often to space marines die?
like somewhat often
welp
there's a million+ marines
there's gona be a few biting it every day most likely
maybe more maybe less on somedays
Giant bug literally ripping them in half
here i thought they make it seem like space marines are like spartans
"never dying in combat" lol
define often
if we compare to like militarum
they never die
but in books they die all the time
I mean
there's a bell that tolls everyime a "hero" dies on terra
how accurate it is who the fuck knows
that shit rings whenever someone notable dies, a hero dies, an entire regiment gets wiped out heroically
a chapter gets wiped out
ect. lol
That shit rings quite a bit
even if its only meant for the important people
I'd assume it rings everytime a fucking custodes dies
the ecclesiarchy, astra telepathica and mechanicus lol
thats the custodes
yeah whenver custodes show up in a battle
thoses fuckers are hard to kill
its always marked as a victory
for propaganda reasons
the Imperium unlike a lot of evil space empires does actually say it loses
literally the chapter i just listened to in fall of cadia had an entire company of space wolves die
BONG BONG BONG
if I remember a single custodes can take like hundred or so space marines
def an exageration
no there was a instant of this in a book
hold up I'll find a source
nah the grey knights incident
I think the most idiotic custodes lore
is still the
2 squads of custodes destroy an entire splinter fleet

Like what????
what the fuck was the size of it
A Custodes shield captain and a SoS fought a ships worth Primaris Astartes and won
source is the Watchers of the Throne (Novel)
I c
i asked this before but did imperial guard used to be able to use land raiders
i'd drink that but that sounds like it would just taste like chocolate
i drank chocolate beer once
it was as disgusting as it sounds
no doubt
it was like some special edition hershey collab with america's oldest beer place
so imagine hersheys chocolate mushed into beer
late but Spartan casulties are literally about as much as Space Marines 💀
why do you think its only like Chief left by the end of the war lmao
Yes
Milltia in HH have that option
not in lore, on tabletop
was guard once able to normally use land raider
and i memorized those rules smh
They specifically can use the proteus
No the explorator
also it loses the astartes keyword
it just becomes shit lol
but it's fluff and i love fluff
shitty rag tag militia fielding a land raider
It's like the only good transport option for milltia too
what about the cargo 8
The rest are like what? The aurox and the rhino? Kek
The what
What the shit
and now you understand why i love militia
who fucking cares
it's a god damn cargo truck
it's just fun as hell
I'm curious because some shit is so bad you can't justify it narrativly
play this dick

so close to completion
elitewolf i will ask for a blessing of the machine spirit as payment for the gamma pistol

I’m literally a comp player but I play casual games as well. I make a difference between its fun to run and this is so bad I won’t have fun running it. Unfortunately there’s things that fall into that category
blessing your tank for you
hey you're the mechanicus guy i dont know the cantrips
The machine is my temple. Each one a sacred shrine. I name each piston blessed, and every gear divine.

i plan on running this thing for a few years and then moving it to militia when it gets banged up enough
Please do not do this to the land raider
Nonsense it can take it
Except for when the writer needs to make them explode for dramatic effect.
I feel like Land Raiders tend to do pretty well in novels respecting their durability
At least they aren't treated like the avatars of khaine.
The bar is low there
The bar is literally on the floor
Emperor class battleships?
That one is fine generally
Emperor class battleships aren’t even the end all be all of the navy
Is the funny thing
Because navy doctrine shifted in universe
If we want to talk about jobbers hive tyrants job even more then the swarmlord lol
Yeah they’re comparable to Baneblades
I call it the Moving Armory with the wide arsenal it can be strapped on with.
Yeah like marine ships it’s designed to be a fucking tank first and foremost
in the configuration i put it it's more like a recon tank with a little transport capabilities
but it's my little dripmobile
Yeah the hardware it can have in board make it great for a support role
my favorite variant is the Crusader. Because you drop THAT thing in the middle of an army, its gonna turn everyone within a 10 mile radius into corned beef
i always interpreted the land raider as like a mobile outpost of sorts
god yes the 12 bolters
a place where marines can re-supply and regroup
Not wrong
just look at this baby, the absurd amount of bolters its strapped with makes me laugh
But it’s also just there to be able to punch through almost anything
Same as the Thunderhawk is
There’s a great scene from a novel where a thunderhawk is doing recon and scouting for a imperial group hiding in the mountains
And they come across a chaos convoy which is too close to the base they’re trying to hide
There’s one with even more guns
Lol
Which they could destroy with a quick strafe of the thunderhawk but they don’t wanna waste ammo
So instead the pilot just rams the lead and back convoy APCs
Flips them, then the marines exit and kill everyone in melee
Speaks to how gnarly Thunderhawks are
I'm a big fan of the dark angels varient of the land raider
Giving the land raider a demolisher is always cool
i love how popular the blood angle upgrade kit is
just because of the dual miniguns
I always picture this thing plowing through snow when its the Sanguinala Holiday
the flamers are perfect de icing
“I don’t wanna waste ammo, so let’s just crash the fucking plane into them”
Oh hey isn’t that the cop rhino
To be clear too, this barely scratches the thunderhawk
That’s metal as hell
This how I envision it
What the fuck do you do, imagine you’re in that convoy, a thunderhawk sweeps down, doesn’t fire at you, rams the front and rear of your convoy, trapping you, then just fucking flies back off again with zero elaboration
Then a bunch of marines start ripping doors off your apcs and killing you with their bare hands and knives
You’re not even worth the ammo
Those in the convoy get like a message ping or something message: your uber has arrived and its just Astartes barreling out from a T Hawk
As funny as the idea of a thunder hawk is to ram something
The acestus assault ram does it cooler
Even if it does look even less air worthy
the Caestus?
the model for it has a strange appearance. But it'd be funny if one of the boarding ramps doesn't open, meaning one half gets to have fun first while the guys in the other wing with a busted ramp is missing out
I prefer the khyribdis purely for its absurdity
And like, it's stupid fucking unspellable name
Kharybdis
they remind me of those droid boarding ships I'd see from the Clone Wars, mainly just the claw parts
Yeah that and the dreadclaw as so cool
This fucking thing can hover too
Not just that, the dreadclaw can fly back into atmosphere and get more troops
Wild
Plus they’re heavily armored and have a pretty gnarly array of guns to protect the landing zone
It's genuinely just such an absurd thing I love it
@dusk patrol you recognize the part on the head of this conversion?
That and the autocannon on it
can some of you share some long videos to get in the warhammer lore before space marine 2 comes out

Orks are legit spores right?
Yes they are a very advanced mixture of terrestrial animal dna and spores
Couldn't someone weaken a rival by dropping ork spores on their hive city and jumping in after the fighting sparks off?
No that's a horrible idea
It's really hard to get rid of Ork spores after they've been introduced
They continually self replicate
Yeah they are incredibly hardy
They can grow in just about any environment you can imagine
When Orks establish themselves on a planet you never really get rid of them
Radioactive asteroids
Acidic swamps
What if chaos marines do it? Can't they smother the orks in warp energy?
Blazing hot Deserts
They would still struggle as orcs are naturally very much hard to corrupt
You just have to accept that the planet will always have an Ork population and you have to constantly maintain it to stop them amassing enough power
Even savage orks aren't something you underestimate
Like one of the only ways to make sure that a planet is literally ork free is by burning the entire thing to the ground
You can literally defeat a giant WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHH and years months or even decades later a new one will just pop up from the spores of the previous orks
Okay, so basically dropping orks on a rival planet is literally just gonna give the orks a new planet
fair enough
In the first place even just dropping the spores and giving them no technology they will still adapt to the planet
Savage orks are rather very handy
what if you pit them against a tyrannid fleet to tie them up? that sounds better
they'll just occupy each other
Octarius
right(?)
Just read about it
The constant fighting makes the orks bigger and the constant biomass
Makes the tyrannids more warriors
Yea the end result is whoever wins is going to be much much stronger than they started as
So it's good for temporarily distracting both sides since they'll get stuck in a deadlock, but the moment it breaks and one side wins, you've now just got a worse problem
Yeah like Larmoth said it's basically just a temporary fix but can also lead to a very very not so temporary problem
I think in cases of even footing the tyrannid eventually win out but where there are more orks the orks win
do you think orks get bored of fighting the same enemy all the time
Nope.
also nids should theoretically be adapting to fighting orks but we literally never see them actually doing that shit
A point to consider is that the reason orks are stupid as hell is because they don't have an enemy that forces them to be anything else.
They can be bored out of fighting. Think the Eldar have done it before
Then they leave toward more fun targets
The Tyrannids might make Krorks come back. War of the Beast 2.0
yeah the reason they like fighting nids somehow have checked out their list of fighting etiquette
eldar are too hit in run
they don't like tau but at least the gun you get out of the hastle and hey crushing their skulls is a good one
with eldar not so much
I heard one YouTuber say
The bugs adapt to fighting ork’s by making really powerful duelists and killing their warbosses
eh they respect the tech but fighting humies is a matter of depends
Some Astra militarum generals definitely know how they work and exploit that but some are rather stupid and just keep sending more
This is just the beginning of co-op and solo play, providing a framework that will be expanded in the future. There will be new missions, enemies, killzones, and even more exciting mission packs coming for free online and in future products – so keep your eyes peeled as the new edition develops.
damn i guess we're stuck with shit for now
alright just read the july dispatches on the whole killteam situation
so yeah tau are advancing on volkus
fifth sphere expansion
They will die
what makes you think so
they're losing in today's dispatch but who knows how many other strike teams they can send
they LIKE fighting tyrannids?
this more than anything else has convinced me how cracked these guys are
Tau always die
i hope they can win this time
the guys with guns that burrow flesh eating worms into you, orks are like "that's pretty fuckin rad" basically
orks just like the them killing others part
and you can kill a LOT of nids by shooting aimlessly
The smallest ones in the tribe are 6 feet tall but because of their usual hunched posture they appear smaller
its wild how mad these creatures are
the literal smallest ones in the tribe are my height at minimum and 3x as heavy
fml

yeah the nobz which are the group that is the second largest in the tribe clocks around 7 to 8 feet, and can humble a space marine in the strength department, the leaders called a warboss, is 10 feet tall on average, the size of a fully grown ogryn
better image
they can pick up a human and bite their head off if they wanted to
On the left flank, Shifty – the mob’s grot – pops his head up from behind a crumbling wall, then ducks swiftly back. The motion is just enough to catch one sentry’s eye. The humie frowns and turns towards Shifty’s position. In the same instant, Big Grug looms up behind the distracted sentry, wraps one thick arm around their face, and all but saws their head off with a single drag of his knife across their throat.
dude sneaky orks are shit the bed level of scary
How do necromundans travel/transport resources between hives?
Ker
everything you would expect for a planet, supply lines, armored trucks trains you name it
Cargo-8s are 40-tonne Imperial cargo trucks, that are used on many Imperial worlds[1][2][3] and by the Astra Militarum as well.[1]
They just wanna have a good time
Land Trains are war machines composed of an engine and several weapons-mounted cars. They were maintained and crewed by the Squat's Engineers Guild, a group which provided the best weapons used in the Squat armies[1a].
Orks just wanna have fun
I desperately need it as a cover of “girls just wanna have fun”
necromunda is one of the few cases where we have logistical lore lol
Only setting where they are enough to get that deep
So ker
reminder that the vehicle which won world war 2 was the humble 4 ton truck
I’m writing a dnd character that’s effectively an ogryn based on blending brawler and bodyguard, and I’m trying to come up with/steal contextual combat lines for like killing enemies, teammates going down, etc. anyone got any good ones or ideas?
He even can bull charge cause my dm homebrewed active abilities for martial classes
It reminds me of that russian icbm truck that was the mascot of the spintires game
Someone please make it make sense to me. How can the Horus Heresy go from a really good book on Fulgrim to the snooze fest that was both of the Dark Angels books?
I almost gave up
Ah that was your first mistake
its a slop series of 55 books
Reading dark angels
also the dark angel books are notoriously shit
dark angels
I want to read all of the horus heresy stuff, it was what got me back reading again after a pretty long time
Theres a reason the lion slept for so long, with a legion that boring, i too would sleep out my legions cringe phase
I suggest your preferably read the highlights, lest by the end of it you hate reading it
Like a certain dill
see the resemblance
No clue how people can call ultramarines boring when dark angels exist (I haven’t read son of the forest yet)
God dont get me started on that. There was only one ultra marine on a book for now and i fucking hate that book
BAttle for the Abyss, i think
There are cool characters in there, like a loyalist world eater, but other then that the book is just a dreg
Because like, HH had some good books. Fulgrim, Mechanicus and Legion, i would say were pretty bangers
And the 3 first ones about Gavriel, and the flight of the eisenstein
Early HH is good
can you even field cargo-8's on regular 40k guard tabletop
I was thinking more in line with this
it's ok to be wrong zimmer
But you can see when the writers stop caring
do not read the entirety of the HH
that is an awful idea, half the books dont even tie to the main narrative
title The Horus Heresy: “honestly we forgot WTF we were doing”
Maybe i will switch and go read the primarch books, but i am reading now The Thousand Sons
At least for now its good
The last heretic is really really good
Yeah, i hear a lot of people saying that too
I love when HH writes like, character dramas
I belive its next after Thousand Sons
Haven’t read 1k sons
love how the cargo 8 lore explains what a pintle mount is
Next like, in the other of release
I heard the khan book is good, but i love love love white scars
Same here sister
Yee
Every time there was a mention of the Khan or WS i just screamed
But holy shit the most VAs can not do an indigenous American voice
That’s why yndastra is a fucking drag in the mud to listen to
At least the va’s can kinda do a general Asian voice. I’d rather them not even try tbh
Haven't touched a single audiobooks, but Bricky always sing the praises of the night haunters series VA work, almost makes me want to listening to it
apparently there exist cargo 12's which can haul baneblades
so if imperial logistics were confusing, there you go
The British va’s do a very very good Eastern European voice
Stereotypical? Yeah
But it’s like the same quality you see in most media
have tempestus ogryns been removed from the store?
all you can buy now is the normal squad, the command squad and taurox prime
damn so this is why tempestus fans weren't happy
You mean the Bullgryn ?
yeah
the tempestus ones
is all i remember
they had berets and shit
or i guess not
Never had an Ogryn with a berret in miniatures
bullgryns then
i hope the addition of aquilons means regular tempestus are making a comeback and will be playable as elysians
that's like killing two birds with one stone for GW
elysians sucked anyways
Its okay to be wrong jay gay
ouch, I felt that in my heart about Elysians
people just liked them because tabletop
it's also just dumb lore wise to have an entire regiment do 1 single thing
What. Kill the enemy? Like, the same thing other Guard regiments do. I like them because of what they’re based on
airborn assault
militarum regiment gimmicks are usually the type of theater they fight in or their aesthetics
like valhallans being snow russians
or tallarns being desert SAS raiders
cadians being more generic by design since they used to represent average militarum grunt
but elysians had... jetpacks
and some cool cars
Grav-chutes, the T Scions in the recent trailer got all that fancy crap
yes exactly
i was getting to that
the drop troop thing fits a lot more on scions who are supposed to be super elite special forces
they're not an actual regiment
elysians weren't really more elite than other big name regiments
plus they looked so similar to cadians lol
it makes sense for me to just get rid of elysians and focus solely on scions
I know a better solution
Bring back the solar auxilia
Make then replace all the guard regiments
how would they even play on 40k
There is only one
They’ll have rhinos and predators
auxilia get rhinos?
They’ll have a little bit of everything
since when
Aurox and carnodons are basically rhinos and preds
I really wish carnodons weren’t like the worst unit in heresy 💀
they could also just use chimeras in 40k lol
Thats the dracosan you FOOL

Militarum can get the primaris treatment but solar auxilia
My fingers are crossed that the EDT get their chance to shine one day again
And they get all the old SM equipment like in the old days
LMAO you mean like replacing the entire cadian line with solar auxilia?
Yes
cadians were already the militarum reboot
Another one
They still prolly are from Saturn
Lol
If there’s anyone left using their armor and guns
the gas giant, perfect for human life
Exactly
The asteroids and space stations
Smh
Thats how the solar aux became so cool
we know aux had astartes flavours which is very funny
like GW couldn't help but make them just fluff for chapters
Back in hh1 there melee units could go toe to toe with termie units
also you guys didnt read the solar auxilia articles
they came from different planets
depending on which chapter they were attached
it literally says so
Totally has read the lore
Being dyslexic doesnt mean it doesnr exist
Black book 4
That is where there core lore comes from
Their origin is they’re the fighting force of the Saturine Ordo
Smh
The doctrine spread into the imperial army and navy
And then to the legions cannon fodder
There technically not cannon fodder?
They clean up after astartes
Not before astartes
Yeah
They are also very much elite troops
I’m making a silly joke
Jay is just gay
The only legion that treated them like total shit
Is the Iron Warriors
Which yeah that’s expected
i still cant believe they made Iron Warriors specific solar aux
There shitheads anyways
Worst part is they’re colored like iron warriors
It’s so fucking bad
YES
Lol
Apparently there was a whole description detailing how they should look like in a book
They have somewhat unique lore
GW is just making shit up on the go with solar aux

it fucking says "they followed them right up to the Siege of Terra" like... no they didnt
Yes that’s how lore fucking works
But apparently GW didnt read it
Didn’t they literally get slaughtered on Olympia
Defending it
Yeah lmfao
Like them and around like
A third of the legion lol
I’d call Perturabo a petulant man child
But he goes beyond that lol
Herculean petiness
Literally makes the Greek gods look reasonable

Which I’m not sure if was the point
But if it was good job
guess he's kinda perturbed uh
I fucking hated how they gave all the solar aux from the legions the same armor
Not the imperial fists one
They’re like
Brown lol
they're discount astartes
Spire guard actually are unique
Despite looking like great value thousand sons
Same with the head hunters
Which is why there armor shouldnt be uniform
instead of the cool assortment of wild and wacky 40k regiment uniforms you get 1 type of guy who's paint green instead of blue
They aren’t
The main regiments
Again
They’re specialists and the best of the best
the cool thing about 30k guard is how absolutely non conform they are
you can do whatever you want
this literally applies to 40k most of the way as well
If you look at solar aux rules its supposed to convey that too
so i dont really understand why the only 2 options are the ELITE of the ELITE and the shittiest rag tag militia
Again
but they made krieg their thing
Milltia quality depends planet to planet
what do the militia mini looks like
They have none
They don't
lmao
make your own nerd - Forgeworld
zimmer it says so directly in the militia rules that most are shit and seeing just a leman russ is rare unless the world was specifically making them
the militia rules are intended to be the shitty guard lol
The rules are meant give you multiple rights of war that are meant to be customized so you can have an army with land raiders or a shitty chaos cult horde
militia are supplement kitbash army
so that's where you throw all of your non 30k minis
People make good kitbashes with milltia
its for pretty much any random stuff
they're also prolly better then Solar Auxilia rn because of how awkward the rules are
They are a horde army yes
But there’s different flavours of em
nah you can field them as elite army i think
you can get ogryns and lots of tanks
but you can also field a ton of conscripts
they look cool
idk what that means
are you supposed to be afraid or cringing
What happened to you
Charonites can't be taken no?
nope just regular
They're Solar Auxilia
cant even take any baneblade variant
Im mourning there loss
cringing because they're paying a premium for a save thats objectively terrible in Heresy
actually i think you can take the hellhammer
militia can get carapace, as a treat
even the las rifles have a mode with AP5
we're in the space marine mutual wanking game
yes
Glad you figured that out
They literally nerfed the AP on a lot of stuff
Welcome to the club
militia rules are just there to give astartes players more NPC's to kill
so space marines would be better
lol
Rip AP3 battle cannon
you were too good for this world
Its a sad thing considering the previous ed
can you give your militia a baneblade
Yeah lasrifles are AP4 in blast charger mode
SM2 only has colour customization for chaos 😦
i just said yes god DAMNIT
Any army can get any allied armies lord of war
in HH1
but no variant except the demolisher
because baneblades are literally stated to be so new by 30k that there's no variants
despite solar aux getting variants
because fuck you
i will field primaris marines in the militia (they found a time machine)
lol
but it's perfect fluff
So if you wanna run a sisters of silence army allied with solar aux with a knight you can
long as someones not trying to re-enact something who gives a shit
it's just mark 4 armour i swear
I am that shithead
okay Rivet counter whats the difference between MK7 and Sarum helmets
can a marine die of trenchfoot ?
they should add this
you can cut their foot off and put them in a trench
Mk7 has pipes on the side, sarum has none
They should add child soldiers like 40k
human bomb
holy shit you're actually a rivet counter
suicide bombers like good old rogue trader
they don't
i need to see this
but can you still field cadian child soldiers today
