In general they’re very much loyal they just only care about being efficient, they dont commit to conflicts which won’t be a net benefit and if they see a fight as lost they typically won’t take it. They have a value they assign to every marine, vehicle, weapon, armor set, down to the last bolt shell they fire and they decide based off that how to approach conflicts

They’ll save a hive world if it’s deemed valuable to the overall survival of the Imperium, they won’t save it because it’s got people but because the value of the people on the world and its industry

So, if Medusa being destroyed was deemed a net benefit then maybe.

If the chapter being destroyed was somehow necessary and they knew that then they could, but generally they’re gonna take the path of surviving to continue to be of use.

Also, all of this varies by clan company and what constitutes value isn’t agreed upon by them as a whole so yeah.

On the GW site, some Ravenguard have their eyes painted the other way around. So the white is black and black is white. Is that just a style choice or is there actual lore behind it?
