scaled for level 16 players?
and then you throw bel's datasheet in
whos scaled for level 16 players as well
and then the horde of fucking devils
- the constant stream of reinforcments

This sounds like a type of thing a forever dm whose tired of being a forever dm would make
its something incredibly silly you can try running
you shouldn't
but you could run it lol
her descent to avernus fight is good though
I could make it so that when the bard tries seduce he has to roll to not get sent to avernus because of a curse
even though it doesn't even happen in universe and she has her sword again
Right back to the warp, so how FUCKED did humanity get when the warp got all funky. And what caused the warp to do that?
If you guys are still awake
Humanity literally collapsed during the age of strife
what caused the warp to do that was most likely a mass psychic awakening
Hmm, mmm
it's hard to describe in words how bad the age of strife was
Ok so on the scale of 1-10 how bad was it?
i was lead to believe for the longest time that when the unification wars happened it was kinda like what the age of strife was like
but no the emperor emerged much after all the fucked up shit
the wars during the age of strife are literally unimaginable
horrors beyond our comprehension
Mainly because there isn't much written on it
Gotta wait for the next 50 book slop fest
i legit would care more about a fleshed out dark age/age of strife over wherever the fuck GW is going with dark imperium
this shit is getting stale
I personally don't think the age of strife is really that bad, within the context of humanity? Absolutely it's horrible but I think it's funnier to imagine that the emperor built all of the imperium to rise above it but because of the heresy the world is now worse than it was during the warlord era
so again that's the thing with age of strife
we're sorta lead to believe that pre unification wars earth was what it was like everywhere
since that's the earliest known history we can actually trace
Unification wars?
when the emperor united earth
the earliest point in 40k history that isn't overly convoluted or dan abnetted
It definitely was dan abnetted though
There were some short stories on the chronicles of ursh
ffs
anyways age of strife was like beyond anything in 40k
not war in heaven level
but close
So besides getting slaughtered, abandoned every other day. How were they able to survive that long??
The Age of Strife was worse in a lot of ways
luck, isolation and literally being too backwards to rely on technology to survive
It’s hard to stress how bad things got, and how long it lasted
Given their advancements. What caused things to backfire and equally cause catastrophic loss of life??
All warp travel shut down
the advancements themselves
Like the technological advancements and any other new problems added to the plate
yeah
There wasn’t one reason, humanity was many different factions
like just look at how dumb the imperium is right now. humanity got too reliant on STC's so when shit fucked up they were stranded
Hmm, mmh
the only guys who survived relatively intact are votaan
and they rely entirely on their ancient STC's
Hmm
There was more to it than that but yes that happened for some
So what happened to Ai, since it's not present in the current time line?
If you want to call it a night we can continue tomorrow morning...
So, they like formed their own faction? What did they look like. (If there's concept art)
It’s all vague and it wasn’t one thing
It was just destructive and terrible and it caused basically everyone to fear AI
Ahh
Ok, it's pretty late we'll talk about humanity and the near end of Strife tomorrow
I think the closest thing to what we know in terms of their appearance is UR-025
Considered to be the last of its kind
Hmmm, ok
*allegedly
No clue about that tbh
The Excindo are part of the Dreadwing and we don't know wtf happened to them
Too normal looking to be Admech
Votann maybe
Fishbait box…
Is it for 40k or AoS?
40k probably
Rumour Engine span all warhammer settings without notes to which it is from
Here’s a juicy rumour for you – we’ve heard that sometimes, in the far-off future of the 41st Millennium, people need to store things… inside other things. Boxes, if you will. Here comes one now.
Quote that is with the rumour
So deff. 40k
Could be Necromunda though
Brand new Necromunda fisherman model confirmed
But really I think it might be a Militarum mechanic
Dwarf drone
Also the model looks good
Does it
Are military not considered peoples ?
votaan, i'm calling it
This looks like a cool model from what little I can see, so its probably necromunda, we can't have those in mainline 40k
I think it also looks too normal for Votann
nobody else uses normal tools like that
Militarum
they dont have mechanics
They fucking do
not on tabletop they dont
That's why it's a new model
they already have mechancus adepts rule wise
votaan have very normal looking tools
Yea but that's also kinda the point, Votann already have a mechanic unit with tools and shit
that's why im thinking maybe tau then
earth caste
that augment hand doesnt look very imperial
plus you just know there would be an aquila somewhere
earth caste got actual tech
not fucking wrenches and shit

they need places to put that tech
hence, toolbox
you're all missing the fact that the hand looks tau
less than usual!
dont laugh at this guy's handicap
i'd be genuinely very surprised if this is militarum
I'm surprised when these came out and no one called these space marine power packs
those type of flying models are so funny it looks like they have a really long fucked up leg
Something I had a question about, so khorne is a god of discipline, but a lot of his followers are blood hungry crazed berserkers what’s up with that?
first time I've heard him being the god of discipline, which makes very little sense to begin with
Hes not a god of dicipline, hes just a god of senseless slaughter and war
chaos gods have no "good" sides to them
Any boons they give you tend to be powerful but gross mutations and thats basically it.
Oh, I thought I heard he was the dude who will just never give up or quit no matter what
Which I thought meant discipline
He is, but it's a chaotic version of it, so it's all kinda self contradictory and such
^
You dont need dicipline to never quit
you can just be a psychopath that wants to get that deed done no matter what or who stands infront of you
Like he's honor as well, but not the honor we would admire normally
Yeah the kind of honor like
"Im gonna kill you first so you dont see me murdering this entire family once you're dead"

Will stab you always in the front, never in the back
But will REALLY stab you in the front hard
Yep basically
And even then, IIRC, Bloodletters can apparently beg for their lives then stab you in the back
Someone can correct me on that if its wrong
I’ve never read that
I thought that was in like 7th edition codex or something
I cant remember where I read that now that I think about it
Could've been 1d4chan
I don’t know daemon lore super well so
Damn we cant verify
Ah, now that is where we conclude it’s probably wrong
Tbf I dont think alot of shit on that site is wrong lore wise but thats probably one of the few bits
I think I've read the reverse, people begging Mercy from Bloodletter then getting backstab by said bloodletter after it had accepted it or something
Huh weird that we read opposite happenings concerning such an event occuring
the slaughter stealth technique
No one saw me because all of them are dead
So that boycott is going great
clearly they need to increase the model prices again
Man I should learn how 3D printing and all that works
So lads, if you heard this quote:
"Seek the greatest of pleasures and enjoy the finest of comedies and stories found in all things"
What would you assume of them?
Seem like a cool guy
that he is a cool guy
Damn what a cool guy!!!
Howdy, I'm pretty sure most of the scriers missed my anecdote last night, so I linked in this chat. To summarize it. The main big topic discussion is about humanity (as a whole). Right now where we left off, we started in the Space Age and now currently wrapping up the topic question about the Age of Strife.
Did think hedonist, so match
whats up
Lets goooo
I'm saying this because I'm curious on how to paint certain things
When you paint the joints or anything articulate do you all paint it while it's in the sprue?
Or is it cool to paint it assembled
.....
From what I've learned, most of Humanity's "old" history reflects our irl history. But to simplify things I just want to know from humanity's previous peak (The Space Age) to the current age in WH40k.
In the Space we were able to explore the galaxy, have encountered the warp, psykers were present before the Strife, and we were having a "jolly good time"
In the beginning of the Age of Strife. Things were pretty much broken, and humanity is pretty much receiving the chaos from the back end.
.....
.....
Age of Strife isn't really much to do with Chaos tbh
I don't think that's what he meant by chaos
Thank you
I think he meant just chaos as in, out of control
Oh
You could have written this all in a doc you know
Or at least, write it there and copy paste it here
I'm asking questions not writing an anecdote
Age of Strife is basically
Eldar become super decadent which causes more warp storms making travel harder, Men of Iron rebel causing a massive war for Mankind, Warpstorms get so bad that mankind can't travel for thousands of years, Eldar Society decays to a point where Slaanesh is born, Slaanesh eats 95% of all Eldar and the Storms end and thus ends the Age of Strife
Well it might as well be one considering we still haven't gotten to the question yet, saves everyone the trouble to just right it all in one go
My friends used to argue in paragraphs all the time
And they took there time
So take yours
Ok
clears throat
Thank you again for your patience.
For further clarification, in the Age of Strife, I'm more interested in humanity's struggle through it and any major plot points that relate to them.
So, in the Age of Strife. How did most of humanity's population was able to survive through it in our Main (original/home) Solar system?
Think, China's warlord era, but epic, but scary, and also epic. And mad Max.
Hmm, mmh
So were there other threats that prey on humanity when they were at their most vulnerable??
There were instances of primitive warp magic during the age of strife
So naturally a lot of it backfired
Hmm, mmh
Mmmmhhh mmmmm...... 💋😩
zesty ass
I prefer to use that term,"hmmm, mmh", for informational recording and acknowledgement of data. Kindly don't make it weird...
Stfu he started it
We can't tell anyone about this.
i'm interested
If anyone asked you if I did it, tell them no, I can't risk being associated with a FILTHY pig like you
Right, so most of humanity was separated from each other, regressed back to a near Iron/Stone Age (Mad Max Style). And have pretty much lost most forms of hope.
*but epic, and magic
they still had technology in a lot of places they just didnt know how it worked
*and chinese
Hence why they almost reverted back to the Iron/Stone Age
No not really
It depends
Oh shit I forgot
Every lost human planet had some form of primitive or advanced technology
so the answer is again this lol
*It Depends™
its literally the answer, tf do you want me to say lmao
Some are literal cavemen while others got robots for bodies
So in their Darkest hour....
theres no definitive societal norm
there's planets that literally have cave men
and planets that have interstellar empires
I mean along came the Emperor

He then began an galactic jihad
killed billions of humans/aliens
etc etc
Jihad is the perfect term for this
Well yeah it was a literal holy war minus the religious bits
also straight up lifted from Dune too
Considering the superficial elements the imperium of man has to the funny religion in the middle of the east
So how did the Emperor save Humanity (Starting mostly in the solar system)
not really tbh
jihad is just the best term for a holy war people are familiar with

minus the 'regular' religious bits
With instead new type of religious bits
He just sent astartes around the galaxy
subjugated planets
made them comply
it was a speedrun
define 'save'
he emerged, met malcador, created thunder warriors, did unifications wars, made peace with mars, etc
And then SEX
now you might be wondering why the emperor didn't prevent the age of strife to begin with
I'm asking how did he reunite earth and claimed himself as 'Emperor of Mankind"
well the answer is fuck you
What Jay said above
kill everyone
climb to the top of the mountain
declare "i win"
Warlord in a war crime speedrun competition
Also he was a literal man, you cannot exactly stop a galactic crisis event lol
stop telling me he's a man
he's more powerful than the strongest eldar psyker
probably
A very powerful man, but we'll talk about it sometime later
Not really
hes just a strong mega-psyker
what is he gonna do to stop the psychic emergence

He is the biggest baddest of dem all
warn humanity
Why would he
but the emperor isnt good at warning people
And no one would listen
Age of Strife benefited him
Think fast chucklenutz
see that's the thing either the emperor is the most self absorbed piece of shit to ever exist or he was just stupid
The Emperor doesn't want what is good for Humanity, it wans to have Humanity under its hand
Idk about that
like imagine the emperor living during the most peaceful period of the galaxy and thinking "this isn't what i want" and just hiding in his man cave
hes both.
hes as smart as the plot allows him to be
which isnt a lot
lol
He has stated he has wanted to hand the imperium the humanity multiple times
sure so he created primarchs
definitely something somebody would do if they wanted democracy
If the Emperor only cared for Humanity, they wouldn't have gone the way he did, neither before the Great Crusade, neither before the Age of Strife
Yeah hes more or less was the guy with the biggest stick at the time
hes not a destined savior, just a guy who thinks hes right in everything
This shit is why I am a servant of sigmar
Half the time I don't even know what the emperor is supposed to be
nobody does
Sigmar is literally just a barbarian himbo trying to do the right thing.
Even with his failings he still is pretty much a good person
Yeah pretty much lol
he's misunderstood by people who praise him
Alarielle in AOS once says maybe "us" being destroyed by the Chaos Gods is just a natural cycle we need to adhere to as a radom thought
and Sigmar is like
Self Serving, imperfect, spiteful, and many more
In a weird way, she might not be fully wrong, but even if death is a natural proceeding of life, should we noght fight against it
Yeah the problem is shes a bit biased POV wise
Before someone talk about him: Shut up Nagash
since shes a god of nature now and she sees it as a "natural cycle"
Sigmar is like "Nah"
If we take the Great Game it could be such a case
people act like when roboute met the emperor he learned something deep when he probably just realize how much of a piece of shit his father was
Shout out to her for not completely slaughtering the Sylvaneth that kinda sorta betrayed her
shes merciful
Very rare
mostly
He kinda always knew deep down
as he said he only has one father
and thats Konor Guilliman
I'm back, sorry for being afk, so I remember correctly when I read about the Elyssiarchy. Humanity basically worshiped him as God when he came to save him?
Ah
mostly through the course of the Great Crusade
a few did but it was illegal
since he actively pushed down religious ideas when he saw it
Lol monarchia, lmao.
emperor when he sees people worship him
fetch me their souls
So during the Emperor's conquest to reunite humanity. What time (or Era) significantly started the "Golden Age"
golden age and dark age mean the same thing. it's before age of strife
Dark Age of Technology = Golden Age
it's a play on how some humans see that period
She has to come in every few months to keel the Sylvaneth from completely bodying grey water 😭
the "dark age" basically is a title the Imperium slapped on it due to thinking the humans from that era for fools for dealing with technology, AI, and you know being sensible human beings thus they were cast down for it when thats in reality just the Imperium's backwards medieval thinking talking
Ok, soo.... Then how we discuss the time period between the Emperor's reclamation of Mankind and before the start of the "Heresy'
there wasn't much time between the great crusades and the horus heresy. the imperium never really had a golden age
Unification of Terra
Great Crusade
Horus Heresy
it wasnt that long of a period in general
it's kinda funny how the imperium was always shitty
but the great crusade era was probably the least shitty if you were human and compliant
So what were the key major factions that were necessary to Unite Terra
it just had no religion
The Emperor's army, the thunder warriors (proto astartes) and the custodians.
mechanicus
admech werent present
oh unite terra
Hmmm, mmmh
they were cotnacted post-unification
yeah it's after unification
thunder warriors are credited as having won the unification wars
So who are these thunder warriors, how come we don't see them present time??
Purged by SM
during their last battle
the imperium was lead to believe they all died in one last struggle to win terra
but emperor killed them
Prototype space marines that were made from adult participants and total psychopaths who had rough genetic enhancements that made them die in droves but slaughter their way through billions of people
Ah
they were too unstable and the Emperor purged them during the final battle for terra on Ağrı Mountain (an actual IRL place here) and then said they died bravely in battle
they then moved all that combat data to making proper astartes before the Crusade started
Hmmm, hmmm
mind you the first astartes were made from primarch genes even though the primarchs werent around
but that's a longer story
and custodes were around this whole time
So at the beginning of the crusade, The Emperor went to the Cult Mechanicus for help?
Yeah since Mars is pretty "close" in our solar system
If I remember correctly it was with mutants or something...
Ah
after mars the timeline gets muddled
So humanity as a whole was beginning to be well off with the emperor before the start of the heresy.
It depended on the world
- Some were harrassed by aliens or other humans
- Some were living in peace
- Some were dead
- Some were living in peace with other aliens
we're talking millions of planets too just for scale
Some were starting to expand on their own
The Emperor just had the whole concept of Manifest Destiny on his mind and that humanity was to rule the galaxy
also this yeah
its important to remember 90% of the Great Crusade was a conquest
To rule, but under his teaching
Aaahh, huuuhhh
the size of pre imperium humanity is impossible to tell but it was extremely vast
even in the 41st millenium there's parts of the galaxy that havent been contacted
the fringes of the galaxy especially
So let's talk about vendettas...
Given that humanity was buttfudge in the Age of Strife.
They developed a sense of grudge on anything that threatened them.
Depend on the world
all we know is humanity killed *most aliens on sight during the great crusade
Xenophobia come mostly from the teaching of the Imperium as other groups weren't that way
the haruspex be like
Hmmm
So were they ever betrayed by aliens for being human??
as a whole?
Yes, some did, but in the same way that some human have backstabbed xenos before
Hmm, mmh
like orks were at *peace with humanity during the dark age but the moment they had the opportunity they attacked
but there's also so many alien races in 40k that have either been wiped out by the imperium or are barely mentioned
tau empire for example could have been just a normal sight during the dark age. just a small species living its life
So the Emperor's goal was to unite humanity (through manifest destiny), how was he going to maintain that unity outside of the bloodshed and submission?
What was his plan to keep humanity connected?
there's lots of fan theories and headcannons about that
like primarchs could have been the intended rulers
during peace
Oh
we know for a fact that they werent created solely for war
at least not all of them
emperor was also experimenting with the webway i think
maybe as a means to do space travel without the warp
Ok
Right so what was humanity's role in this grand plan. Did they have their own form of hierarchy where, obviously, The Emperor sits at the top of?
i think the high lords of terra existed back then but of course the emperor was above everybody
malcador was also pretty high up but he was more concerned with the administration
mechancus had their own special rights so they could do whatever they wanted
Also there was no "peace" with orks, thats a meme
nah
you know that got me thinking
orks when left to their own devices will get stronger and stronger
it's like they're designed to be uncontainable
At work we'll talk more tomorrow
it's just interesting to think that if humanity was powerful enough to contain them without spilling over then when the age of strife happened can you imagine the level of waaaaaugh that crashed out?
Well we already saw what happened
the War of the Beast and that one Super Ork that almsot killed the Emperor
(which apparently was not him faking it as per the author and he was legit gonna get stomped which is funny)
The Beast is just a random ork that grew to super strenght because plot
The Ullanor Ork's warboss Ulrak Urr (amazing name btw) was just another super ork that also developed from fighting a lot.
its why the Triumph at Ullanor is a big thing and marks the "end" of the Crusade for most imperials
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/gamma-ray-pistol
fuck it i made the model free so if any of you want a gamma pistol just get it
Probably the best life size version of this weapon you'll ever find. Model is optimized for FDM and will probably not print well with resin.
Everything is built to be chunky so you can wave it around the place without breaking apart, hopefully.
I recommend printing the grip first so you can scale the whole model according to your hand size.
might as well get some following before i monetize my stuff
i think my next project will be the arc pistol
@storm jungle can i post my link in the minis channel since it's free
Yeah no rules against it
oh hey i just noticed the arc pistol's grip is literally the same as the gamma pistol
damn that saves me a lot of time
anyone got the "abelard, cut off his balls" image?
this one?
mars is cooked
they do kinda talk like that and I love it
it's kinda disheartening to not have a single download for something free that took me a month to make but at the same time i know some mechanicus lover out there will thank the stars that somebody made his favorite niche weapon
now how tf do arc weapons work
do they just send eletricity
how do you even aim such a weapon
Pray to the omnissiah
I believe they fire a micro slug of conductive material to guide it
If I did anything that required 3d modeling I would love to have it
Btw speaking of mechanicus, anyone know of any good voice chanigng softwares for techpriest/vox sounding stuff? I'm trying to play as a tech priest in a online ttrpg
You point it at a target, it somehow locks onto it and it shoots a lighting bolt
I know a dude who'd devour an arc rifle probably
i'm making an arc pistol if he's interested
We'll see
i will try to make an arc rifle because i appreciate you ed
Oh I haven't asked them lol
Though if we're being real the rifle will just he the pistol but longer so do that first
As in, the pistol
yesss that's the plan
@arctic talon is this official art
why is the top thing round instead of angular like in every other representation
This is official art, idk why it’s round
It’s actually not rectangular on the mini
Guess it’s just the odd one out
heheheh so you're saying i'll have a rare accurate model?
all the other cosplay ones i see a rectangular thing
Yes
hell yeah market found
That does look round
Rifles are blocky doe
If I recall Mechanicus has them blocky which I imagine a lot of people reference
Hah, the lore nerd is trying to explain the nonsensical design decisions of some intern at GW almost a decade ago!
Never catch me doing that

is your pfp's jaw lore accurate
Btw was listening to the mechanicus soundtrack again, and does the song binary signal actually translate to anything in morse code/binary?
You sucker, should have made it paid
I dunno the lore. What’s the joke about Dorn having the ‘tism
All the primarch are
An invisible laser ionizes the air in a direct path, which the ensuing electrical charge follows to the target.
He has no sense of humor, and is bland
Tbh it’s mostly no one reads the fucking books
And think TTS is a accurate take on him
He’s a little more mild mannered than his other brothers but he’s still a leader whose capable of turning on the charisma and rallying people if needed, and has a pretty bad temper when he’s angered. He’s just forced to be the bedrock of the siege so he can’t really do a lot while Jaghatai and Sanguinius do more frontline stuff.
He is the fortress.
The heresy also kinda breaks him and he has to adjust to warp bullshit and all that being used
And he has Sigismund who finds religion which embarrasses and angers him
Since that’s his first captain
He comes around before the end
That's right, Dorn was the heavy all along
damn no wonder hes cringe
Coming in the with the wrong opinions as always dilly
If I want a primarch whos personality is so bland I gotta dig through a literal coalmine of books to find rare examples of him not being a literal wooden plank then nah
down with all Imperial Fist fans
LMAO
when you're right you're right
Dorn's popularity generally only comes from TTS because people dont know anything about him aside from reading his one-liner arnold schwarzenegger excerpts from Siege
Pretty much.
I started out as a Fists fan before getting into Templars, they are legit just boring as hell, even if they are not suppose to be too flashy/showy, just doesnt really work for me
When your most standing popularity beacon is Valrak that tends to happen 💀

Damn I gotta steal that emote
I did. Not my proudest hour 😔

Real and true
I miss having lead in my body instead of microplastics
what the FUCK is the new thing
Idk but my favourite YouTuber told me it's bad
🤮

Lmao, a screen recorded gif
do anyone know what perty is up to these days?
Chilling in Medrengard and making his boys go attack the Imperium
pretty much what every chaos primarch does
fuck
will he participate in the great game ?
or since he belongs to undivided , he is a death merchant offering technologies?
really, is he actively doing or neutral?
active
neutral?
netural
wut
?
perty is active ,he is a demon prince going out and destroy stuff
but i thought he pulled out of the siege meaning he has no intentions of fucking with the imperium
howeveri do get he is a deamon prince afterall, he got do some shady shit
is he building anything ?
did he ever offically ascend ?
He pulled out the Siege because it wasnt a fair battle anymore
everyone was using daemons or going psychopathic and not following plans
it wasnt a proper war anymore
Yes.
Because they are chaos lords + siblings
latest story it was recently proof most traitor primarch is alive and all are demon prince
they fight and got their own agendas
will he participate in the great game or he is gonna be a merchant for all sides?
Hes chaos undivided and all chaos worshippers participate in the great game the moment they adhere to the 4 gods
so basically yes to both
yea
Got it . I heard he got some terminal illness from fulgrim, is he still suffering from that?
vastorr currently 3 way war
could include perty if story get deeper
admech vs necron vs vashtor
does perty has any interaction with vashtor? since they are sort of engineers?
We got no interactions yet
i think not yet
When he gets a model expect a few
this is a stupid question, but does gaining terrority means directing gaining of power or its just more strategic(more land, more soldiers). Are there more powerful entities than the chaos gods in the warp, does gork and mork has any interaction with the 4 chao gods?
soon ?
No idea
No
tho when any building anything relate perty will comeout
hes got no faction in tabletop
that eliminates a big chance of him getting anything
pretty sure all primarch stuff come out after model come out
Territory is mostly pointless aside from setting up shop in the Eye, its mostly just having your own area of space as a point to operate out of or own, power comes mostly from devoting stuff to the chaos gods/killing quadrillion of people for the funnies.
Theres implied to be powerful beings in the Warp but wer dont have enough knowledge to know much.
Gork and Mork have had interactions but it isnt a lot because they got no active space of their own in the Warp, they are pretty much spread through the entire ork race as a whole
Got it ,thank you for the detailed answers to all the questions
I meant for chaos factions like gaining land meaning more power ?
no
Its not really about physical land
planets in realspace/and the warp are just means to an end
they are just staging points for most chaos marine armies
most rarely stick around to rule them unless its to do with decadence or wanting to be a leader of something
So it’s more strategic, for positioning
~~Let's be real it's only because it wasn't his idea
~~

He sould've been given a hug, obviously would have fixed everything smh(No way he would view this in a negative light at all)
Perturabo was celebrated though, and still was the pissant character that we know of, other than being declared best of the best and Warmaster or what ever, I don't think Perturabo would have been happy
Horus heresy but written by viziepop
Let the FUCKING galaxy FUCKING burn COCKSUCKERS
Kek
imagine horus heresy but instead of horus it's just some random other primarch who got chosen as warmaster
like alpharius or konrad curze
Warmaster Manus
picture this:
due to a series of odd events horus is incapable of leading the great crusade fleet, all the other primarchs are tied down to their own tasks so the title falls onto angron
ferrus manus warmaster would literally have never had a horus heresy happen to begin with
see that's the boring question: what if roboute, sanguinous or dorn were warmaster
all these primarchs are way too loyal to have anything fun happen
as for who the emperor considered, it's only horus
but for popularity, sanguinius was a better choice for the other primarchs
feels extremely stupid when you realize how one of the only reasons why horus was chosen was because of favoritism
emperor:
i want to unite humanity for humans, i'm only doing this for my love of humanity
also emperor:
i love my inhuman sons too much to reprimand them and i will entrust the future of the imperium i have built in the hands of these fucking psychos. also i will let my traitor son wound me
imagine a galaxy where humanity was left to rebuild itself after the age of strife without the intervention of the emperor
Horus was technically kinda boring too before he fell
^
hes the perfect catalyst for the plot because he has no character aside from "Kinda swell but misguided primarch"
the Sons of Horus are also just a barbarian horde aesthetically and trope wise, perfect as goon fodder
They have a sick color scheme
Heresy and crusade era schemes are really good
Pre heresy thousand sons is a highlight
He was with the emperor the longest and had the best connections
he was boring because he wasn't super loyal and had doubts unlike the super loyal primarchs and the quirky futur chaos champions
A lot of the other primarchs were either newer or were focused there own agendas or the ones given to them by emps
roboute doing jack shit
"call me when 40k happens so i can flagship this shitty franchise"
HE WAS LITERALLY MICRO-MANAGING SHIT
my headcannon is funnier
"What is Imperium Secundus"
Robute was literally too busy to celebrate the triumph of ullanor
playing factorio
Subjective
The invasion of calth was kinda cool
Nah Calth was great
even as a person who thinks HH is slop Calth is peak
mostly because again
Abnett
lol
The cover of the book also has Robot-G punching word bearers in zero gravity
so you know

Don't spoil
"Huh our champion died? Ok. Anyway so we are invading calth."
Me no finish
dont worry you're still young to me dilara
Shaddap
I mean it's valid, HH2 release got a lot of new people to start the Heresy
mean
Die
also spoilers Horus dies
or does he
For fuck sake

i like to think it's because he's dying too lol
If they resurrect Horus I'm leaving this stupid fucking franchise
SDFKLSDKDSF
Horus is definitely not coming back due to Abaddon
but like... money is money
so who knows
dan the man giving himself job security
somehow palpatine returned
I cannot wait for Roboute to go "Somehow, Horus Lupercal has returned."
Hey apparently the entire last episode of HotD has leaked online
Somehow Horus returned
If any of you spoil it I'll cry
pass me a link
well they kinda did resurrect Horus but you know
oh damn it
that doesnt count!!!
I've not seenit yet
well twice
But it's all Social media
Yeah i need to find it
you mean like Dorn Herecy fanfic?
no
mo
i just said none of those boring primarchs
Caught misspelling
cow spelling, get em
Dornian heresy is also shit
They are all boring you fuck
very
nobody would be saying this if it was the version of the Horus Heresy we know in this timeline
No one in 30k gives a shit about primarchs
Ehhhh
In fact they are often discouraged in tournaments
If I went to some seperate universe
and retold the HH we know
people would go "thats boring"

Ultramarines becoming the Tau is kinda dumb
oh
Because that's what they do in Dornian Heresy
i forgot that since it was so stupid
i mean come on imagine a conrad kurze HH
Eh, I find Dorn Herecy kinda curious the way it recontextualizes all of the key choices that primarchs made, resulting in all of them flipping sides
I love how it also makes the traitor primarchs loyalists through THE most sensible decisions
Except Dornian Heresy goes the wrong way a lot of the time
I like the idea of nurgle blood angels
Like the reason Sanguinius goes heretical in Dornian Heresy is that he's not Sanguinius
yeah i heard their gay corn was popular for some reason
I like the idea of beautiful armor hiding grotesque flesh
Like he's raised by different people and has a different life and grows up differently, so he's not even Sanguinius
It's cooler than nurgle in current 40k
this fanfic sucks
Raven Guard should be Khorne
Wolf for Tzeentch
Salamander for Nurgle
Blood Angel or Iron hand for Slaanesh
Which is just disease but gay
Nurgle Blood Angels is also the worst
That's just too obvious
It's not very interesting
Slaanesh Blood Angels is the optimal choice
No it isnt
It is
i guess iron hand slaanesh makes sense since they desire upgrades so much
Bangles aren't emperors childreb
Ye it is
kill him for my entertainment
maul him
Khorne wants Blood Angels, so Slaanesh steals them just to piss off Khorne

eat his bones
Nurgle blood angels is more interesting than slaanesh blood angels will ever be
Nope
okay putting it like that makes sense
Hiding disease behind armor is a sick as hell concept at it's core
That's cause Slaanesh never really got much focus yet
I did a whole rant piece on this, Nurgle is legit the least sensible option for Blood Angels
Which has already been done in many media
nurgle ultramarines because they never fucking quit
Quite
The ranking is Slaanesh - best option
Khorne - decent option, but too obvious
Tzeentch - Surprisingly interesting option that still works
Nurge - Huh that makes no sense?

If we're going by absolutely horrendous by fans which space marine chapter is the best
Worst are Wolf, followed closely by Dorn/Perturabo's
night lord fans because they dont exist
Wrong
On the basis of what?
Iron Hand and White Scar are smaller community
The word of god
Night Lords fans being only able to exist in this plane of existence because ADB wrote 3 books for them
Well the lady in my head said nurgle bangles works so I said it does
lol
And we're thriving for it
feelsbad
NL are jobbers tho
then you look at any other NL content
and they just suck
they are like batman villains
They would get manhandled by word bearers
Right now on my second listenthrough of the trilogy, at a few chapters in the second book
Iron hands about to do absolutely nothing
they'll look cool doing it though
Raven guard are baller though
iron hands got one of the most interesting founding chapter dynamics but because they dont have a straight gimmick like the fallen they get nothing from one note authors, which is a good thing tbh
They actually did something even after most of them fell during the dropsite massacre
better have nothing than bad thing
of course it's the wolfs
like salamanders heheh
I treat salamanders fans like lamenters fans
They only like one thing and they just roll with it the whole time
They bring it up every time there chapter is mentioned
"Oh there so nice" "Oh there so sad"
I think my favorite covering of the Lamenters was ironically by Bricky.
He covers like 40m of lore, then goes:
"Yeah uh that was it. I thought there was more from the memes."
what would 40k even be without the fanfiction
no
yes
A friend of mine was going to write a lamenters story for that Black Library submission thing, I should check if she ever wrote it

At least the Marines malevolent are midly interesting because of there actions as assholes
do minotaur fans exist
i feel like they exist solely to piss people off
their faction is simple and straight to the point
they dont gloat
they dont bargain
they just kill and steal shit
its great
Salamanders fans be like "erm they so nice" (Doesn't elaborate)
Me when their own supplement says they got a company whos entire purpose is burning alive rioting hiver citizens
Speaking of minotaurs
A chapter I want to like but is so boring is the red scorpions
There color scheme is just mwah
it's literally just a homebrew chapter that was made official
if minotaurs got any lore people would realize how stupid they are
I mean who cares
If they didn't look that cool people wouldn't care lol
^
this is the reality of marine chapters
its why almost 90% of them are ones nobody ever remembers or mentions lol
when was the last fucking time you saw someone talk about Nova Marines
yesterday..
no wait, Monday
If imperial fist weren't yellow they wouldn't keep writing about how there chapter masters keep dying
Think about that
they look like shit though
Are they the blue and white one ?
Yep!
Oh
Even more stupider take
Bronze is just a cool color on its own tf you on about
Isn't it more bronze ?

metal colours are cheap they make anything look good
choose actual colours smh
"Primary colors are cheap and make anything look good"
That's the level of silly that statement was
Chat, kill this simpleton NOW!!!
should i get the Jay skinner?
💀
Whatever, go my scarabs
Imma be real with you, making models look good with metallic colours is hard as balls
because just slapping a coat of any metallic paint will just look bad
That's why most people paint non metallic metal
smh
Pure metal looks ass, same with black
Black is one of those colors that you need to complement with another color to truly make it pop or have a clever use of to show or symbolize something to truly work
So you gotta cheat a bit and make it technically "not pure black or metal"
Someday I'll be as good as the forge world painters to make paint oil spills on black color schemes
painting those big display dioramas legit would make me tear my eyes out
I wish I had the space for one
i want to find a painter friend so i can just focus on modelling lol
they'd probably be too busy painting their own stuff
im too busy modelling stuff to paint
Btw, have you ever painted Gundam before? Because I would like some small advice
i was more thinking of that siege of vraks one
whoever had to paint those HUNDREDS of krieg minis
I haven't but I recon it's not too different from what I know
When you paint the joints or anything articulate would you all paint it while it's in the sprue? Or it's okay to keep it assembled
i only know one person who does those sorts of gundam models and they do the pose before painting
Some of the Warhammer stuff I've painted have had articulated joints and I've painted them all in subassemblies
Because I intend to keep it posable
Or, what little poses it can do
It's a guntank kek
The posing might damage the paintwork though
you could polish it
Yeah that was my concern
lacquer
Painting it assembled will probably cause the joints to stick together slightly
if you paint the joints before assembling it could not fit
depends on the tolerances
those ball joint arms would definitely become sandy if you paint the whole ball
you know, like if you move them around they'll do CREEEE
they look loose enough that it might be fine
but will probably leave some markings if moved often
It's that turret mf from that gundam game
The dead one? Or the other dead one?
The overwatch dead one
Oh okay
Forgor the name
Guntank...
What can I say, I love it's design
I cant believe theres people that only know of this beauty of a machine from Gundam Evo
Kek, I knew it before all that
Same!
It's why I love it in the first place
I'm hoping to get the mass production type along with the early type at some point
Then we'll move on to the good stuff
Like the MG Zeong
Zeong my beloved....
