The funny thing is for WWE Kane was always said to be the strongest dude
And he was built but like
He’s built
And now he’s a Republican politician
Not sculpted
Can’t blame em I’d have a hard time not voting for Kane
He’s my top 3 wrestlers of all time personally
LMAO
Yeah and they find thor funny because he has very similar physique
Him, Randy, and Edge or Batista
Like the drama this physique made is hilarious
Jeff hardy and Kurt angle>
I just join a running session, twice per week.
Probably could be doing more but have to fit in housework, miniatures, D&D, maybe other social events...
Depends on the day lol
Also like one thing
Thor isn’t a healthy dude totally
He’s a god who drinks endlessly and eats a ton
Yeah and in god of war he's like half giant
Hes got the strongman physique mixed with a bad diet of probably drinking too much
Or that’s the appearance at least
I haven’t played through 2 yet but I like what I’ve seen and his look is great
It's an overly detailed strongman physique yeah
Also a good more unique take to distance him from the Hemsworth Thor
I think that's the reason why people didn't like him more when he got revealed
Which they obviously had to do
Because they are so used to this representation of thor
Pretty sure in the original norse mythology it doesn't even have thunder
It's just an incredibly heavy hammer
In the original he’s also just kinda a jokester and dork
Who sometimes beats people up
Yeah and he carries around like a hammer heavier than a mountain or something
Could be heavier but not familiar with the mythology
Norse Mythology gets wild
Much like Greek mythology a lot of it comes across as some guy being horny and writing fanfic about that
Loki
Gotta update that Gaydar, the two of them have been making kissy eyes at each other for a couple episodes now.
Loki just Loki
“What if Zeus banged a lady but he was a swan this time. Oh yeah that’s hot.”
Loki's children
Everyone vogues and makes kissy eyes at eachother in this show
Because they all want to kiss
When Aemond and Jace meet on the battle field they’re just gonna have a Blue Steel fight
Damn
Beat me by a second
I hate that I know what mewing is now from this show
Apparently this guy has like the largest dragon species as a pet
Or something i don't know the ads said it
He has the largest dragon bonded to him yeah
Largest and oldest
Also he’s a really good fighter and psychopath so
Fun combo
Wouldn't that basically make him already a powerhouse in the verse
A good fighter and literally has the largest and oldest dragon around
That’s the idea
Yep
He’s hard carrying his side on that front
Fortunately
The other side also has a really good fighter whose a psychopath
And has a pretty big dragon too
Second to Vhagar?
Like 4th or 5th maybe
Now at least
It’s more a skill thing also
Him and his dragon have fought together way more and for way longer
So it's brute strength versus experience
Sorta yeah, it’s a mix
Vhagar also comes from an era of dragon fights
So she knows how to fuck shit up
Vermithor, Silverwing and Dreamfyre are all bigger I think, but yea Caraxes and Daemon have the longest bond of any currently living rider and the most real battle experience
But her age does hurt her
Daemon has the coolest dragon
Yeah
carexes the red wyrm
Yea Vhagar has got a lot of droopy grandma age going on
Also she got fucked up a bit at Rooks rest
I’m getting sick of the daemon harrenhall subplot
Damn I always mix up the names Caraxes and Syrax
It’s kind annoying they don’t bring Dreamfyre up at all
Are dragons like a rare thing in the house of dragon universe
I get Haelena isn’t really cut out for warfare but like
Mostly yes
There’s not that many
The events of the show cause them to basically go extinct shortly after until GoT
But it's got the best character in the show at the moment
Sam Tarly if he fucked
Plus at this point the Dragon already went through an extinction level event, so the ones we got are the survivors
Yeah
I LOVEEEEE that guy
During the period before the Doom there was thousands or more
After that very few existed
And Aegon and Baelerion killed a lot of those
Amazing how in 300 years from dance of dragons to game of thrones there’s not one technical innovation
You’d think there’d be one musket
Are dragons like the strongest creatures in the game of thrones universe
Generally speaking yeah
If you don’t count the lord of light
GoT has a lot of like
Unclear entities and creatures
Dragons are still mysterious but we see what they can do more clearly
GRRM is actually a genius at making magic mysterious
Yeah i just mean like on a species to species bases
And ones like Balerion were capable of destroying the biggest and baddest fort in Westeros by itself
Like out of all the living creatures in the world of game of thrones
But Balerions fire was a special level of powerful too
It seems that dragons are basically on the top of the food chain
Ignoring sea monsters yeah probably
The Maesters like to keep people complacent
Can't be uprooting the delicate fuedal structure with innovation
Do the houses use sea monsters in the navy?
There’s possibly some stuff out there more dangerous but
Not they’re just there
We don’t know much of them
Just that they exist
So they can keep dragons but they can't have sea monsters
GRRM likes to keep stuff mysterious
I don’t think we ever see one either way
Dragons also mostly only respond to those with Vlyarian blood
And not even for all of them
How it works is intentionally unclear
Like we don’t even know how they reproduce really
And how their genders work
Why their fire is so powerful and all that
Why some have more powerful fire
How their breeds and looks work and all that
So it's basically just these things are just flying monsters that can breathe fire that can basically melt anything
Also there’s weird stuff like riders of black dragons tending to have fertility and sex drive issues
Which isn’t explained
Generally yeah
Some of them have much stronger fire
Balerion is the main example of having absurdly deadly fire which could destroy castles
His fire was also actually black
And he was massive
The stone towers of Harrehall melting like candles under his fire
They only wanna fuck dragons
He was the last dragon ever from old Valyria too I believe
Kinda funny how viserys got to ride balerion for like a week
Took him for one flight around kings landing
Although something to keep in mind is one of Balerions last riders, Aerea Targaryen flew him back to the Ruins of Valyria and whatever was there fucked him up
He was like 200 years old when he died iirc
I really want them to do an Aegon the Conquerer show ngl
And she got eaten from inside out by worms
He’s such an interesting character
He was an insanely effective conquerer but he was also super withdrawn and comes across as almost autistic socially
His sisters ran most of the actual ruling stuff
He has huge issues having kids
I really like the concept of him
Also you know
The Black Dread
There's a theory that Aegon never actually had any children, they were all secretly bastards
Yeah
Them targaryen folk sure do be strange
Also he wasn’t even pure Valyrian
I wonder how long they’re gonna drag HOTD out
Probably 4-5 seasons it seems
I think the major war kickoff will be the final year of this season
Cause now we’re still in the seed sowing
Yeah
Ppl ain’t ready for what’s to come
I think they’ve said they have plans for an Aegon show
And also a Robert’s Rebellion show eventually feels like an obvious choice
Dude Rhaegar vs Robert fuck me I want it so bad
With a proper budget
The whole Battle of the Trident
Demon of the Trident time
Rapidly approaching violence
Also they could show peak Selmy and Dane
Show the whole sequence of Selmy rescuing Aerys
Oh Defiance of Duskendale
I can’t recall how far off that is from the Rebellion
But I don’t think it’s too far
I really love the chain of events which leads to what happens too, how Robert didn’t really wanna be king he just wanted Lyanna back, how everyone was looking forward to Rhaegar and was just riding out Aerys being crazy until he died and Rhaegar could take over, Rhaegar and Lynna being stupid and eloping without telling anyone and then Ned’s brother threatening the King which chain reactions it all
Basically how easily it could have just ended with Aerys being a little cooky but dying and then Rhaegar takes over and everyone is happy mostly
Oh we'd have to see the Tourney of Harrenhall as well
But mfers had to be horny bastards
Look at these two dipshits
And then poor Elia suffers the worst because of it
But yeah it’s a great story and even though we mostly know it all I’d love to see it
Also seeing Robert react to Lynna being dead after he did all that for her thinking she was kidnapped, and now he has to be king when he doesn’t even want that
I really love Robert’s character of how the war was the best time of his life in many ways while also the worst and he won, but then he not only didn’t get the girl he was doing it all for but he didn’t actually want to rule or be a king.
And he was just dead inside for years while probably knowing or suspecting that Cerseis kids aren’t even his
And not caring really, because he hates Joffrey because he’s a psychopath
"People who seek the throne are the least suited for it" mfers when the person who didn't want to be King is an awful King because they don't want to be King
And he just lets the Lannisters run all over him and his small council do whatever because he didn’t care
And unfortunately he was so stubborn that he wasn’t gonna even let Ned or Jon Aryyn talk him into being responsible for the sake of the people
Turns out having all that power is actually kinda hard if you’re not invested in it
It's what makes the Mad King properly Mad
So it'd be part of the setup probably
Yeah that’s what I was thinking
Following Jamie as a POV char for that would be pretty great
Actually the Defiance of Duskendale would go pretty hard as an opening scene for season 1
Yeah seeing young Jaime would be cool
Yeah the Defiance is about 5 years prior to the Rebellion
Yes
I'm on season 3 and the victim mentality on this BITCH is crazy
The books are better for her iirc

LMAO
It's like ideal for some stuff j want to study
Book Cersei kinda got me hoping Tywin might adopt me ngl
But no somehow the book version felt even worse to read about, she does fucked up stuff
Robert isn’t a good husband for a lot of reasons but she also put basically no effort into fixing that either and she’s the person who raised Joffrey ultimately
Robert is prob one of the best short-lived characters for that reason
basically a warrior that is good for nothing else but fighting, and him basically growing fat and not being a good father kickstarted a lot of the wrong shit
He pigged out and got pigged out
LOL
GRRM likes putting a lot of different ways things could have gone right
Like if Selmy doesn’t save Aerys, if Rhaegar and Lynna aren’t horny fucks, if Rhaegar kills Robert, if Lynna doesn’t die, if Brandon doesn’t threaten Rhaegar to Aerys, and so on
Best part of the series tbh, people making honest or dumbass mistakes all due to impulses.
Granted obviously stuff could have still gone wrong if that had happened but yeah
Yeah its more just these effects making a "speedrun" dilemma where it only hastened it.
The events which lead to the War of the Five Kings could easily have been averted
Also, if Rob hadn’t been a fucking simp for some girl he knocked up jfc Rob I get honor but come on
Its the same reason I love the Red Wedding, people only focus on the aspect of "omg a lot of main characters die out of nowhere this is so grimdark and tragic!"
When like, after it happens when you take a step back you notice Robb legit fucked up in the worst way possible and also hastened his end, obviously the Freys/Boltons were never trustworthy but all his emotional turmoil basically led to him, his mom, his wife and all his bannermen being slaughtered.
its some good shit
Also Karstag and how he handles that
YEP many dominoes
There’s multiple times he could have still won pretty easily
Because if he doesn’t lose Karstag then Boltons and Frey probably don’t turn
It would be suicide for them to
And he wouldn’t need the Freys anyways technically
Its one of the more realistic parts i like in the books
EVERY ally of Robb wants something
Is it not Karstark?
and has their own needs, they arent just NPCs
Shame
yeah there is a lot of Houses under his banner
the show barely covers most of them since they dont put any effort into their heraldries, drip and such minus a few like the Tully's lol
which is one part of HotD I immensely like in comparison
Also Tywin with his fucking "Its better to murder dozen at a wedding than kill thousands in a war"
Same man that unleashed the Hound and his cronies to slaughter innocent people across the Riverlands lol
Riverlands get that focus because their whole deal is being fairly divided due to having quite a weak liege
also their ancestors being named after Muppets
peak writing, id do the same tbh

It’s just funny like the Tullys aren’t really that special compared to all the other fancy Lord Paramounts, like their lands are smaller than most of their own vassals
“GRRM is one of the best fantasy authors of our time.”
Also GRRM:
SHUT.
Yeah its more a matter of influence, geographical position and history
Yeah but they have the Blackfish
also this
Does anyone else have the Blackfish?
Blackfish Supreme
Nope
They don’t own a great city and their keep isn’t the most impressive in the Riverlands, they’re basically just the guy that was standing closest to Aegon when he got to the Riverlands
well yeah thats the realistic bit again
you dont really get these things through the stuff you mentioned half the time
its a matter of time, place and many other things
its what makes IRL history stuff also interesting
Yea it’s just long standing tradition of competence and not being a dick
Do people claim that though ?
I mean I think he is
They're semi reasonable and big enough
Hes one of the best fantasy authors.
I also think Tolkien is a great author with some goofy stuff too
Any prolific author is gonna have some silly stuff or whatever
As much as people wave away ASOIAF for having so much grimdark aspects they really got no idea how good the plot, characters and the world itself is.
Well yeah because War of the Roses was written really well
its like looking at 40k and going "its just people killing each other i dont care about it or want to get into it"
LOL

He is a great author sure, but hardly the best I'd say
I said one of the best fantasy authors of our time
^
Which I think isn’t that controversial of a take
Tolkien isn’t “of our time” to be clear
Tolkien definitely sits on the high chair but theres lots of good authors beneath him, especially through influence.
A friend of mine refused to get into it because she read parts of it and was like “but I hate Tyrion, he seems so evil” yea he’s supposed to.
Me when people got complex personalities and arent goody-two-shoes
also saying this to the guy whos been treated as a freak all his life lol
I dislike ASOIAF, but I loved a couple of his short stories, like The Ice Dragon short
He should have tried not being born ugly
Tolkien is the ultimate expression of "I needed an excuse to flex x skill so I made y to do it"
Look at Peter Dinklage, his Tyrion is handsome and he’s much happier
Look genocide isn't a good thing but if you're entire race got genocided i think i can give you some lee way on why you act such a dick
MARIKA
Fuckin golden order piece of shit
Mans just wanted to play with his languages
Tyrions whole thing is deep down he is actually quite a horrible person, but he still regularly does the right thing (even if it’s sometimes for the wrong reasons) and despite doing the right thing he still gets shit on for it anyway.
Tbh I think it’s just like his siblings, his dad fucked him up bad
I definitely understand when people dont like GoT but calling it bad fiction is usually what irks me. But I also understand why since the grimdark appeal is one of its big drawing points and what made it a big sensation
And it all goes downhill from there
A lot of things probably change if Joanna doesn’t die in childbirth
Also yeah Tyrion killing his mom is the biggest catalyst
"40k is so grimdark" mfkrs when you bring up the lukewarm shock value plot thread instead of the horrible misery the average person calls life
LOL
Just reminded me I need to watch alt shift x’s video on “The real Jon Snow”
How better is the book compared to the tv series
Its a great vid, love his content
Tywin had hatred for his dad for basically taking whores into their house to replace his mom who died too
Yea love him and Glidus, just haven’t got round to that vid yet
Because the tv series after a few seasons in you begin to want to pull your hair out apparently
The book is incredibly complex compared to the show, theres an immense amount of plot threads going on with a bit too much realistic events and happenings at times
Which made him hate Tyrion for going to brothels
like George wrote so many threads he has quite literally binded himself in them lol
Also actual world building!
he admitted as much himself
Yeah
Yeah thats one issue with like
treating every character realistically
all their wants/needs entangle each other
Then i'll take that it's better
Very much enjoying the pretty soldiers all the different houses have
this isnt a problem with warhammer where like almost every character is a cartoon or one dimensional
There's no way it can be worse than than the show
like Horus just wants to kill the Emperor and is being kinda manipulated, thats it
meanwhile you can write an entire essay on Littlefinger
Mostly yeah, not all stuff but it has way more going on
It wouldn’t all translate well
like to the point of brain exhaustion
There’s a lot more characters and GoT already arguable has too many characters
Although I will say GRRM plays favourites, like Blackwood’s always win
There is a reason why i like brooks, i'm not much for deep plots and my favorite warhammer army is the iron jaws, i'm as simple as a Brute
Bracken and Peake always lose
So probably not going to try it
It’s really obvious he loved Daemon
The show is actually handling that pretty nicely lol
Yea
But I can’t blame him Daemon is a really fun character
Like the Burning Mill is way more overtly Bracken-favoured in the show
Luv me Celtigars
And Amos Bracken survives
Them having feuds over shit like naming a pair of hills over a maiden's tits is some peak writing

Both houses are also portrayed as crazy unhinged
Yeah it fits too, its why i love that off-screen battle
whoever says that shit is silly should look up the War of the Bucket
lol
It makes you go "wtf seriously?"
Then you meet tue houses properly with Willem/Amos and the small council/Simon Strong elaborate
And now it makes sense
Burning Mill in the show is perfect, as it encapsulates perfectly the entirety of the Dance
Me watching humanity kill itself as i accidentally give them the wrong cookie
A petty squabble where no one truly wins, while thousands die
Sidenote, love Beria as Simon
It does make for good drama though
Its gonna happen at some point, probably mid-point during the Dunc/Egg maybe
Yeah
we do have production shots of the prior already
Blackfyre show though?
Dunc and Egg I’m really looking forward to
Same, i love them
Thats probably way down the line if the shows we are getting end up good.
Im only worried about bloat, i dont want these to end up like MCU shows.
This is basically Ferrus/Fulgrim but Good Ending
I wanna see that wife stealing twink get his lungs caved in
But seriously it’s such a cool duel
And GRRM normally doesn’t do the whole “Duel of Fates” thing
But their duel is actually a super key duel between two of the absolute pinnacle of their age without any real tricks
They both almost get the other and it’s a straight up prolonged fight
And the Trident is so cool and also
Robert is the only guy whose not a dipshit using a sword
I get they’re cool but GRRM
You can’t keep describing everyone in plate
And then everyone using swords
Like fuck me give someone a mace
Is dunkinegg worth reading
Yes
Is it gritty like everything else GRRM
It has big Warhammer Fantasy vibes but you know just more grounded.
Uhhh kinda so and so
You wont read about sexual assault every 30 pages
I love love love descriptions of Sam tarlys weiner
It’s actually kinda happy and nice in the outcomes
Does it have sufficient gore
My flight just got delayed so thinking about what to read
I love how happy it is ||when they all burn together at Summerhall||
Wholesome family moment
GoT books were neat
Shame that i've been waiting for book 6 since.... i don't even remember
GRRM said the fans could kill him if he didn’t finish the next book by 2020
He did at least say he has it in his will to release his outline of the end of the books if he dies
So there is that
Watching his discussion with Stephen king where Stephen says he writes at minimum five pages a day and GRRM laughs it off like yea I don’t write
I stopped watching the show when Jon got shived to death
We’ll see
its been like 20 fucking years
the Horus Heresy wrapped up
That’s a wild thought jeez
Time does flies by
The heresy basically started and ended in the time between books
Horus heresy is perfect example of 1000 monkeys in a room will eventually write Shakespeare
Valyrian steel mace when GRRM smh
SERIOUSLY
Did if I could insert an OC into his universe it would just be yet another big ass knight dude but he has a mace
And a fat ass
Unfortunately bionics havent been invented yet
but also nothing wrong with more knights
Cercei is just a hardcore soccer mom / karen
She just wanted her kids well being
Ahh true
Cersei is like
But shes undead or idk
Fuck idk Karen is kinda too easy for her
Indont even know what the show madeof her
She just stays dead
And I don't remember the books since it's been so long
I cast “oh boy a maester found some bullshit vlyrian blueprint”
Cyborg knight go!
Valyrian material is literally the STC of game of thrones
In the books she becomes Lady Stoneheart
Pelinal Whitestrake but in GoT
Also he has a mace this time
And he hates idk
Flip a coin
Lannisters feels too easy
In case someone out here wants to read good fantasy in french; read "Gagner la Guerre" by Jean-Philippe Jaworski
I guess Pelinal in GoT would have caused the Doom of Valyria
Perfection
What if I don’t speak baguette
Is the English version any good/does it even exist
Hasn't been translated sadly
Shame
My first language is french and i'm grateful I stumbled on that book/author
Otherwise there's Gene Wolfe for english readers
Great stuff
Anyone got good book recommendations for Star Wars
A lot of the novelizations of the movies were pretty good iirc
Thrawn stuff is obvious as a choice
I read the ROTS novelization which is fantastic
I love Star Wars but I need some grit
Some edge
I was enjoying it until a dog tore the book out of my hand and ate it
Elsewhere in the galaxy, the forge world of Gryphonne IV is dead. Consumed by the relentless Hive Fleet Leviathan, only a handful of Magi survived, now devoid of purpose. Explorator Talin Sherax refuses to let hope die, and after learning of a powerful relic that could return everything to its former glory, she sets off on a long and dangerous journey.
Dominion Genesis by Jonathan D Beer is an epic quest into the unknown, where protagonist Talin feels the pull of heresy keenly, as she attempts to turn back time for the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Oh yeah, that's nice
OH MY GOD
ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING MCGUFFIN PLOTS
but also admech book so ill take it
Interested in the admech one the most admittedly but its also nice to see Sexorcists get a novel
generic ahh cover aside
Tbf, Admech stories should always be about a Mcguffin plot that basically fail
Aughhhh pain
Sexorcists
Wait is that like that imperial guard lady who is a very good pilot
I appreciate they have his armor the wards and scripture wraps. And he’s all tatted up with them too
What was her name again
That is a potential description for her yes
he should be naked also
to show off the rest of the tatoos

Denny Flowers returns with a new tale of unparalleled odds, as Lucille, broken by war and reputation crumbling, must face off against a seemingly invincible xenos mercenary in Above and Beyond.
Sandy Mitchell, the author of the Ciaphas Cain novels, had this to say:
“Outgunned had everything I want from a Warhammer 40,000 novel: compelling characters, a gripping narrative delivered in crisp, deft prose, and things going fast and exploding. Above and Beyond more than lives up to its title, having all these things again but bigger and better, and revealing more of the wider picture merely hinted at in the first volume. Simlex and Shard are rapidly becoming the most iconic double act since Gotrek and Felix, and I’m eagerly awaiting their next adventure.”
Show us the dick wards
Yep same character
1 ward on each ball
You Imperialites really are as strange as us
The key question is, do they just ward the cheeks or also the anus?
I feel like I’d want my butthole warded idk
purity seal on the anus, can't let the heresy get in
We know they can’t ward the bottom of the feet
Yeah her Lucille
Apparently one to the greatest imperial pilots ever live
I need to get into reading more but i'm still too f****** stupid
i don't think you need years of literature classes to appreciate warhammer novels to be honest
i think the minimum requirement is being literate
yeah you dont
To be fair i am as lazy as an iron jaw
Not even tbh
It's not that i can't read it's the fact that i i'm too lazy to do so
Audiobooks exist lol
I tried audio books but
I prefer reading
Because i can put my own funny voice on the characters
Like i only listened to war boss and sons of behamat and da big dakka
After that i just can't get through an audiobook
Too expensive and if the reader is ass it ruins the entire experience
audio makes it easier to pair it with another activity in order to multitask more efficiently
Fall of Cadia literally got re-released from how bad the narrator was

the people who write this stuff are on GW's payroll right ?
they don't make direct money from the sales
I have my ways
Depends
I believe they get bonuses from sale
There’s definitely incentives in place to sell more books
Would've been easier to justify not paying for those if they didn't
so I think they shouldn't
Yeah the books dont make a lot of money minus some very rare cases where its like a central thing ala End and the Death or some other big title.
Also they gotta rely on outside sites to see how well a book was recieved
theres some BL authors that appeared on reddit confirming this saying they literally sometimes check GoodReads to see if the reviews for their books are liked or not
I was really looking forward to reading this and book form only to find that it's an audio novel but thank goodness the voice acting and the sound effects were good
Yeah but warhammer audio novels tend to be pretty well done
And like it's the only piece of media that showcases gargan's well
Their audio dramas are basically always good yeah
its literally a movie with sound
I wish they did more longer ones
yeah this, because it needs actual good effort put into it
I'm just a bit iffed that this is like the only gargant dedicated media i can listen to and now i feel sad every time i think about it
There’s a bunch I’d love to see
I think thats basically "too long dont wanna bother"
Because you gotta sound-act every motion, gun, gesture, talky-bits, tech etc.
which like, isnt a hard thing its more that GW tend to be cheapskates about it
Thats the curse of basically being a Minor of Minor Factions
Yeah but still not minor enough to get obliterated from the setting ayo
Beastmen fans give me a high five
Tribal orks moment
Well at least i can breathe well because gw won't send another faction to the void right
I'm looking at you gw the gloom spite gitz and ogor mawtribes are fine
Going to trust them as they did give them new rules in the 4th edition
The age of the green skin is over
The time of the hungry hungry zombie delusional dudes is here
Me and the fam, nice day
Felt cute, might delete later idk
Just give me my beastie boys back
Obviously your AoS faction just found a portal to 40k and came back with some chain swords
All the better
Since I like 40k more than aos
Now everything I like is in one place
gotrek ends up in 40k
👀
I'm pretty sure their entire model range got sent to the old world revival stuff
So you can try that when they release it again
Yea but I thought TOW is already dead
Who knows
Haven't really followed what was going on with tow
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Another Lucille Von Shard novel
I'll just read my 40k books and paint my death guard
They are actually bringing it back here's one of the models, a black orc war boss
I’ll paint your books and read your death guard
And this shaman wearing a troll as a hat
I really like this guy
Is this just a grail knight without a horse
He’s a questing knight I believe
So he’s trying to become a grail knight
Generally
Or some other goal
Aight good enough
Trying to get that quest cape
I really like that Paladin as well, but it is unfortunately Forge World Resin
RESIN?
I thought they stopped using that
Nope they still use it for some of the new Old World models for some reason
and also some of the new Necromunda models for some reason
i hate raisins
What about the other warhammer settings?
Shit
Think it's just Old World, Necromunda, Blood Bowl and some of the older AoS and 40k models that haven't been updated yet
Horus Heresy also regularly gets new resin models also
Ok they aren't making a lot of the other things resin
But that's usually character models
But i'm still surprised they still use resin
For super high detail models they will often still
Is it like easier to mold compared to plastic?
So easier to mold i suppose
It’s bad for kitbashing and it’s common it comes out wrong for people
Resin has a notorious reputation in the fandom right
The rumour I've heard is GW plan to stop all Resin produciton by 2025/26 because of tax changes coming in the UK which will make it less financially viable, so they're currently releasing and selling all the backlog resign models they have before then
Yeah
People prefer and are happy for plastic re-releases for a reason
Yeah i heard the material is a nightmare to work with
It’s also quite toxic
Yea Forge World resin is notorious for being bad quality, harder to work with and more expensive
The only saving grace is FW customer support is great
Constant replacements is a bad look for the company
It doesn't matter that you have a good customer support it can get annoying
Basically
Well i hope that they can just get their plans on removing the resin use in the future to make the people happy so that i get less complaining and i get more stuff to read about
I mean it's the Warhammer community, people will still complain when they eventually scrap all the resin models
Ungrateful bastards as always
I’ll be kinda sad when all resin is gone
Theres still some good stuff thats still resin
Bretonnian has drip
cured resin shouldn't be toxic but it's always recommended to not put your resin models near where you eat
Resin is still toxic when you're cutting/shaving it
liquid resin however is quite toxic if injested and even skin contact can cause reactions
most stuff is. always wear a mask
i dont know about FW's resin but the ones i use dont become dust unless i'm sanding it
that shit creates a cloud
We should violently rip 4chan memes out of the fandom with a rusty hatchet
4chan hasnt been culturally relevant for awhile now, its reddit you should be worried more

I’ve always read gavs name as “Gay Thorpe”
Are there any las pistols that go Brrr?
most of them have firemodes they can switch between iirc
brrr side weapons are usually autopistols
as opposed to the lasgun which is always considered better than normal autoguns, laspistols and autopistols are both used
So, no Luzis then ay?
they can exist
Neat
it's just that autopistols are much more common
a luzi would just be a normal lasgun made compact
short barrel, no stock
on full auto
^
essentially a shorter lascarbine
Pretty good
mood
Pretty good hbu
I pray for more working hours upon you
Fuck you Zimmer
zimmer ok i known for few mins def ok
wat
Wtf are you talking about
We're getting a second Lucille Von Shard book so pretty good
FUCK YEAAAAAHHHH
I'll show you who's the boss of this gym
Tbf, protecting the designers, authors and other creative workers is of paramount importance
insane people should have their internet rights revoked
Then who would even use the internet?
Fair
Everyone: crying over Coteaz.
Me: Folornly hoping GW would expand weapon choices for custom Inquisitors.
(No really, what the fuck am I supposed to create a generic undefined “combi weapon” from that does the profile justice…)
(At least give us an option for Plasma Pistol damnit! Bolt pistols are for Guard, and even their officers can get Plasma Pistols…)
I still think it's silly to hide credit, regardless of the harrassment that comes
Yeah because we REALLY need another matt ward huh
It's almost as if giving credit is the industry standard
Who would have thought!
The fact we have to hunt down for credits for artist is ridiculous and shouldn't be the norm
Yeah you can thank the community for that
Artists can still easily claim credits and many do on stuff like art station
It’s not like when they’re applying job they wouldn’t have a portfolio showing their stuff
Certain styles are also very distinct
You can pretty easily tell when Lewis Jones or Miguel Iglesias made a piece
That is if you know who the artist is in the first place
Which the codex won't tell you
I mean it's pretty easy to open 40kgallery...
They decided a long time ago that was gonna be the policy
And I am still malding about it
John Blanche was who set the policy
They didn’t do it for no reason
We frankly don’t need to know about for the artists purposes it’s not like it’s hard to claim what they do
No one would fund Duncan Rhodes Kickstarter if all they saw where a bunch of hands
It's a basic industry standard, credit is how artist are known and get hired, to hide them in the veneer of harrassment removes them of that
Art station is mostly for industry professionals, the average player won't bother to go there
The artists they hire are usually pretty high profile industry professionals lmao
sadly the community has proven untrustworthy of such info
all it takes is a few idiots sending death threats to get stuff like this
ah i see, that must be why hollywood stopped crediting people after the release of the last jedi
possibly
It’s not like it’s hard for employers to verify if someone did something
Which is the only time it really matters.
yeah public accrediting isnt all that big of a deal with in the industry itself
they have internal sources for such things
It’s literally illegal for employers to deny if you worked for them and did something
yup
And they can’t even mention if you sucked or whatever, it’s just verification of work
Feel like yous are talking about two different thing with the artists and the painting team, the artists are fine with the policy because it protects them to an extent, the painting team however were not all onboard with the "only hands" policy change because it was a GW policy that was deliberately made to stop the painters gaining recognition from the painting tutorial videos.
This policy went into place like
Almost 20 years ago now
15-16 actually but still
It was largely due to the whole Ward episode and the growing online component
It’s also silly to act like GW has to care about people trying to build their own fame from videos the company produces, if those people wanna leave and go independent they always can.
Again you're talking about different policies
The Art Policy was almost 20 years ago, the policy for the Painting team was in the past couple of years
It’s moot for either, it’s not some mystery joining them what the deal is and their reasons for both are valid, GW decided they wanted a specific setup for their videos and they chose that, they don’t owe anyone screen time or whatever
No ones holding a gun to anyone’s head and forcing them to make these videos and considering the quality they still have for them and the new art and all that it definitely doesn’t seem to dissuade people.
Really my only major complaint is new codex lore is super sparse and I seriously doubt that has anything to do with crediting writers considering they did fine with that for over a decade.
Sure not really arguing with you, was just pointing out that it seemed like yous were argueing about two different policies for two different teams like they were the same thing.
Plus GW has already walked back the Policy for the Painting Team because it was pretty unpopular with both the presenters and community.
More we were specifically talking about the policy which Blanche set years ago and someone brought up an entirely different thing for no reason
It was you and Zimmer talking about it, but you were talking about Blanche and he was talking about Duncan Rhodes
So it seemed like he was conflating the two policies for the different teams like they were one thing
oh hey its the guy who does the adpetus rediculus title screens
or uh,
thumbnails
I swear i think ive seen you before in another server
Possibly
I'm something of a niche internet micro celebrity, some of my YouTube comments have many likes
I swear ive either seen you in a server called dakka or yogabagaba or in the verm server
I do not recall any of those servers
Probably all in my head then
I do be living there

Apparently the artist is pretty chill
they are chill
Most of them are
Not me
You know what they say about the art business, it's chill or be chilled
I choose be chilled
Hey, sidenote: given that the Navy is the "soccer mom" in terms of planetary troop development. On the scale of "WE NEED IMMEDIATE TROOP REINFORCEMENT ON THIS LOCATION, NOW" to "Oh send this Company of troops to this Garrison and also bring a couple of Lemon Russe's as well". What type of transportation devices/ methods does the Navy use to send Militarum PlanetSide?
@ or me when you have the chance
There’s a lot
There’s massive landers which find thousands of troops
And also basic landers
Hmmm mmm
The Tetrarch Heavy Lander is a class of Imperial Navy orbit-to-surface dropship. The Tetrarch is able to land an entire Company of troops.[1]
You can see one such example in the background here
But there’s lots of different sizes and what not

And then you have stuff like Titan landers and knight drop keeps and all that
Ah
Drop pods and drop ships also exist for elite elements
Or drop troopers with grav chutes
So on the higher scale of "WE NEED IMMEDIATE TROOP REINFORCEMENTS NOW" like to be immediately dropped into the front lines, what's the most common transportation devices/method
Some kind of drop ship I guess
Ah, ok
Second sidenote: in Darktide what type of aircraft is used to move the operatives to and from the field of engagement
Valkyrie I believe
Which is the standard drop ship the guard and equivalents use typically
It's a Valk
I think we see another type of ship too but I forgot which
Oooh, so that's what it's called ok.
There might be others but that’s the main one you see
In the Gloriana mission
Some missions we get there other ways though
That's all I have for today. Though I do have something very FUNNY for you guys tomorrow afternoon
I think it's a Vulture ? Might just be mentioned and not seen though
Hmm, ok
Masozi sometimes calls her Valkyrie the "Storm Raptor".
Which is exactly what I said 😆
By lore the Vallyrie is supposed to be Atmospheric only
But GW just refuses to think about Guard logistics
So many games just have it as the default special space ride
I really just think GW should just retcon it to be dual use at this point.
They're mostly atmospheric, but they can also be completely sealed with internal oxygen supplies for both the crew and engines, so it's got limited spaceborn capability
So for the purpose we're using it for it's still fine
Like it's not going to win any dogfights in space, but for ferrying squads from orbit to planetside it's fine
Yeah this.
Its mainly transport with heavy/mid-firepower
if you want attack craft theres a reason Vultures and stuff exist
Hmmm
Has anyone read Outgunned and remember what ship Lucille flies?
I can't remember
and searching online is telling me nothing
and I don't even recognise it's design from the cover
and I really don't want to have to find my copy and read through it again to find out
Its not a ship and its on the cover
ain't that the thunderbolt
THAT was the name, fuck me
Lightnings are more flat
no wait YES
I mixed it with the goofier version
aka this thing
hers is a Primaris-Lightning
ah yeah it's the Lightning Fighter, the tail fins are a dead giveaway
Yea I was browsing the Aeronautica Imperialis range on the store page and found this which is a lightning fighter
Yeah as Jerk said the tails match
Thunderbolt is the more flat one
Yep the fridge
I’m adding this to my rogue trader party
arvus lighter aka the TV remote plane
The delightfully chunky little bird
I've got two of them
second is waiting to be built
Gonna boast a bit but the first one won silver last weekend
Lmao thats great
I love the fat fuck planes
they do be the best
Nicee, the only fighters I got are Star Wars ones
Planes that look like bricks are so futuristic
so damn close
Looking good

victim shifting...
Are there automatic plasma guns in the imperial arsenal? Or are they all semis?
mechanicus weaponry
but they're fully automatic high rate of fire plasma weapons
Downside is they get unbearably hot for weak fleshy humans to use
but Skitarii don't mind till they overheat and dump burning hot gas on them
isnt the culverin mounted on the heavy battle servitor?
Unless we take the 7e tabletop rule from admech war convocation as canon(which made very little sense considering the overheat gas literally can melt ceramite lol)
its also used in emplaced positions by skitarii but yeah
its primarily on kataphrons
those things are funny, literally a servitor tank
I enjoy the Torsion cannon
which I like to call the industrial lathe accident gun
Because it grabs 3 separate parts of your body with gravity beams and then twists them in different directions all at once
Going by rules Hellblasters' Plasma incinerators are probably automatic because of the Assault keyword they've got
and the Plasma exterminators on Inceptor Squads
and Rapid-fire is its own keyword because reasons
but the plasma calvier is explicitly rapid fire/automatic in lore
they had rapid fire 1 in 9th edition
didn't the plasma incinerators have the 3 varients thing going on
one had heavy, one had assault, one had rapid fire
plasma guns are also rapid fire
but they don't seem very high fire rate in lore tbh
Biles poor beastmen getting overkilled by plasma is very funny
Plasma guns are so dope
Btw, anyone here seen the SM2 leaks? Without spoilers, how does it look? Good or nah?
Heard it plays okay
Apparently the grenade button is awkward for PC controls
Uhhh yeah apparently it's good according to one guy
Didn't Dilara try it ?
It runs well from all accounts
Doesn’t seem to have issues
We’ll see I guess if that stands
So far good praises have been sang about the game
And from the trailers have seen it looks pretty solid
Well
And if what eternal said is true even better
Imagine a Tau sneezing.
That is all.
Which traitor legion had the most loyalists?
My first guess is iron warriors but less about being loyal and more about sticking it to perturabo
Alpha legion /meme
Iron Warriors, Emperors Children and World Eaters had a lot percentage wise
I don’t think we have clear numbers though
more than 10
Last line of the latest Warcom article
"Suffice it to say for now that we T’au will strike a great blow against Volkus, and that our honoured auxiliaries will be key to our success"
So confirming it, Scions vs Tau Auxiliary
But it's odd
Killteam boxes don't usually get multiple lore articles in advance
Likely new KT season i'd guess
Ive seen a cutscene and maybe a min of gameplay and now been seeing people say its really good and runs well on a devbuild. Man its hard to not get excited for this now. Especially as i was super sceptical and expecting the worst, this has really turned my view around. Hopefully it continues.
New KT season, and both teams are tied into the Codices. So Agents get Scion and whatever Tau auxiliary is the KT gets new/updated rules for their Tau dex entry.
Terrain set is likely some anti-ship fuckhueg laser gun fortress in the shape of the Dark Angel fortress set.
I'm assuming it's some sort of insane point defense battery/targeting computer
Meanwhile Word Bearers and the dedicated legions be like:
“Evil is cool yo, be honest and enjoy it.”
“I wonder if I could bind two daemons to my coffee mug?”
Scions are typically a Guard unit, don't see them getting yoinked by Imperial Agents
Scions work with inquisition plenty
