depends on waht it says
like, for example
a contract they had said they will protect a city for urgold bascially
but the contract didnt say how long
so once they get their money they do a lap and leave
So somehow my iron jaw needs to learn how to read
or if your contract says to recieve an artifact
but you didnt specify what to do with it
they wont return it
unless you buy it form them
and if you dont pay for the original contract you will get drone striked
yea and need to read well
So over complicated contracts
you have to specify every single detial or else
they dont lie, they just wont say the truth
the only only exception to the rule is whtn they do military contracts with each other
So they will literally read a contract scroll that is as long as an entire f****** city and they will follow it to a tee
100 times yeah
Jesus
thats what
this guy is fore
for
he memorized every single law and rule of their Kharadron Code
oh see all those books?
they are all their personal notes on the kharadron code
they are lawyers
they compare a contract to the code
let me quote their store page
and for their skill at concocting helpful ‘clarifications’ on the fly.
if you dont fill in a specific instant on the contract these guys will clairfy for you!
'oh we wont raise war with you? well then this will be an umpromted military training excercise!
They sound like their department of contracts would be a long talk
Boring your allies to death
yea they do that too
Horrific fate that is
they would clarify, but never in your favor lmao
they are for profits and only profits
You somehow need to out business them to get the better end of the deal huh
Was it the Kharadon who flooded the Cities of Sigmar with so much gold that it tanked their economy and caused them to switch to using magic water as currency?
let me check
it owuld have ot be hammerhal if so
the Kharadons who were selling in to the water got exploded, and so it became so rare it became the currency
and kharadons accepted it as a currency
so it became the universal currency
Hm
Hmmm, I could swear the lore bit I was reading was the Dwarves mocking the humans for switching to Magic Water
not sure tbh, i can imagine some flying cities prefer just using u-gold but id need to read all the lroe
Oh yeah do dwarves still have the book of grudges
yeah
the khararadon code has a specific section for grudges
oh yeah the code is updated constantly due to loopholes
Did dwarfs always have queens?
old world no clue, aos yeah
Fyreslayers also have their own version i assume
yay
I'm pretty sure Dwarf Queens were a thing in lore, but dunno if we ever saw them on the tabletop
Wait no turns out there was a model for Helgar Longplaits, Queen of Krag Bryn
googles
dwarf tiddies 3 seconds in
oh okay
Huh, so apparently Dwarves have very few women because around 10 men are born for every woman born.
odd
in kharadrons we see alot of female duardin, its porbably a normal distribution
and in fyreslayers you can play them
female fyreslayrs
It might have changed in AoS vs the Fantasy lore tbh
yea bceause 1 in 10 is a very bad distribution
lmao
Yea, the Fyreslayer warcry squad has two women in it I think
yup, and there is alot of art for both genders in kharadons and some for fyreslaeyrs
i havent checked normal dispossed tho
but they are mentioned in books ive read
Dunno if we have much art on them, but on the tabletop they just use the old Dwarf models from Fantasy, so none there
bolter
POV you work at black library and you have to write a new space marine book:
more like pov somebody who doesnt know shit about fantasy and wants to derail the discussion
Honestly it would be really funny to see a 40k author write something about fantasy or AoS without them consulting what those settings entail
People can talk about what they want you little pipsqueak

Get the Jay incinerator
We will commence the daily beatdown

and i can try to derail it
no
also mfer you literally comment when the topic is basically over 💀
considering the worst aos books are just meh
it woudl be funny
not counting audiodramas
Now we can truly see what a s*** aos book look like
This was fun to listen to
horse ass
the worst book i read was the hollow king, but it was an emo core mystery book
"Then Graphas the Stormcast took out his cool wicked chainsword that he had been given to as a gift from the Duwarden and slashed at Mortarion the Deathguard Nurgle war band leader."
That's not a horse you tank barrel sniffing panda
ill put that on my list
the reference sure was
Still not a horse
but it looks strangely human
iadsghaGaHH, chainswords exist but they only belong to Kharadons
Dammit, then replace it with a bolt pistol
stormcast have thunder bolt pistols
they have real bad daddy issues
The beat space marines because they can have sex and not be virgins
DAMMIT THAT TOO!?
consdiering their god basically forced them to be slaves to his will
Honestly so based
And they actually have emotional regulation and actually can feel
custodes rip off
Honestly they are an improvement
How tough are those balloons from getting obliterated by a boulder throw
they are made of metal
Okay what do the Stormcasts typically use that are typically made and used normally within the Duwarden ranks?
Magical lightning infused metal
Wait I contradicted myself there
duardin*
they actually mostlyt use hamemrs
I see I see
Nerd emoji again and i rip off your teeth and shove it on your eyelids
Okay so a thunderhammer
Finally, blindness....
They do use weapons infused with magical azir lightning right
yea that sall their weapons
it's a special kind of metal they forged their stuff out of
sigmarite
Nice
Gav Thorpe room
NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE NEW ROO--
so if i'm a free guild soldier that just happened to be so good at doing my job, they will give me a great sword made out of sigmarite
god no
sigmarite can only be forged by the 7 smiths
sugmar
Okay so it's a special metal so what kind of stuff do they sell that is baseline just kind of bare minimum requirement and their stuff
The emperor of mankind single single handedly ruined his own empire
i caught sigmar the other day
And is a nazi
sigmar. is made after the greek word sigma
I'll take an emperor/god with a dumb name over one thats just kinda dumb
isn't the guy a viking or something
He was a barbarian
Barbarian
Basically Conan the Barbarian that became a god
ah so the polar opposite of greeks
Yes
also sigma is a letter
So what kind of metal do they use for the stuff they sell to like other factions
its still a noun
pedant
Also sigmar is the original sigma male
In AoS, Im sure there's a trend among men who want to be Sigmar Males
acutally if you want to be a stormcast sigmar will purposely not pick you
Perfect then
ashgahaha
Sigmar hates pick me's
Oh yeah mags what other metal do the stormcast use because this sigmaritr stuff sounds rare
mfw the internet made it cool to be a fucking loser by inventing the term sigma male
"Why being a Sigmar Male is cooler than worshiping Chaos."
*there is af ew example of chaos worshippers being reforged into stormcasts
"How to pick up Stormcast women EASY! Sigmar Male TIP!"
Oh yeah some got redeemed
Wait so you're telling me a beastmen can even be a stormcast
how to obsess over physicality and try to become a psychopath so you forget how shit life is
Would be hard since they embody chaos generally
no, its only if at least a fraation of your soul isnt chaos
How to break every single bone made easy
i bet sigmar males love stoicism
insert the character if you know you know was actually a renown nurgle cultist
as we all know philosophy was perfected by ancient greeks
before htey became a stormcast
it's true just ask any nazi
Well better to ask
Anyway would Heihachi survive in 40k?
Fuck yeah
can he beat a titan though
Probably
naaaah
He's like Master Asia but more abusive
i dont know anything about this
Jay he is a god
so are titans
God please PLEASE watch Mobile Fighter G Gundam, because Master Asia is so good

That is like asking a baby to go up against a hydrogen bomb
i dont enjoy anime personally
Shame but understandable
Oof
That is true
as much as i despise it, there are weebs in the community
it is truly a mark of shame
but god damn asian furries make good art
While I do think the anime style is a bit oversaturated, it is also a really nice style and one thats pretty forgiving
i've actually learned the difference between japanese, south korean and chinese art styles
they all seem to resemble anime but in a unique way
Ooh do explain
Japanese stuff is folded ten thousand times first
i see more chibi looking stuff from south koreans while chinese and japanese art is very similar
i can't really explain it well
but there's a sort of difference you can recognize
also japanese and south korean fursuits go so fucking hard
Not a furry so I couldn't appreciate that fact
I know Chinese furries do exist but I hardly see any Asian furries
I always associate it with the western portion of the world
it's a pretty small portion tbh
there's only like one furcon in east asia i think and it's in japan
meanwhile in the US there's like minimum one furcon per state
Yeah that makes sense
except new york and california weirdly enough
so i have to drive like 8 hours minimum to go to any furcon 😤
Oof
oh also bad english
that is very common and very funny
in pretty much all asian furry art
Not surprised
I would have expected California to be rife with furcons
right?
but no it's more of a new england/midwest thing
the biggest furcon in the world is in chicago of all places
i guess furries come from depressing areas
That would be the chronically online furries
They all come from quite diverse places honestly
Like if you have enough money to buy a fur suit, you ain't got much to worry about
you'd be surprised
we really do follow stereotypes and it's very funny because you can tell what kind of furry somebody is just by talking with them for a couple of minuts
(i am the stealthy fruity kind who converts normies)
i have no idea what kind i am lol
random question, what is the imperium's most power aircraft in terms of combat capability?
Why did the dark age of technology build the golden throne if there were little to no human psykers during that time?
It’s not human tech, it’s eldar/old ones tech with human tech bolted on top
It's Dark Eldar iirc
A haemonculi says he can fix it given some time
It’s most likely eldar empire tech
Tbh
Would make 0 sense to be craftworld or drukhari chronologically
True
looks at the fine print labeled "Made from the Eldar Empire ;D" at the backrest of the golden throne
Either way a bonesinger or haemonculi could def fix the eldar components
The question is if the rest of the crap on top is fixable
Because all of it is essential to its current use
They need to turn it off and for emps to get up for a minute
does ork have souls ? they dont go to the warp after death right?
Yeah they got souls, and they all go to Gork & Mork
has gork and mork ever confirmed to be existent?
Yes, many times. They entirely exist and can sometimes even bring Orks back as a form of reincarnation when they die
Yes and he even reincarnates Orks who are very worthy
DAMN IT
Oh yeah if you are looking for the greatest example of orks reincarnating look no further than Makari
Yes he is a grot but he is still reincarnating and a greenskin
wait
i thuoght the explanation for his reincaration was that ghaz keep getting a grot when he kills him , and however the orkish power of belief brought him back
Yes
But Ghaz
As of right now is the largest ork in the galaxy
And has been called the prophet of GORK and MORK
Yeah basically they gave him some extra perks and allow him to reincarnate makari
Yes
pretty sure thats when ghaz first got the implants
its very awsome even wholesome to see ghaz mature beyond from a simple ork to become the monstority
when he aplogize to makori was wholesome
Yeah he was dumped in the dumpster when makari was supposed to scrap the augmentations Ghaz had
When they made contact with each other they had visions and stuff
At that point Ghaz can just bring back makari
yeah but that was just mostly plot armor
also he went against a special character
no chance
Yeah he's large enough to man handle a lemen russ tank cannon
Like it's a toy basically
He's more than 20 ft at this point
holy shit
Yeah he could run fades with a group of ogryns and turn them into cheese
Oh yeah his heart is literally an engine
i wonder
a;sp
he can get revived
if they have the parts
if anything that can kill him besides a special character that at this point
A gigantic ass gun designed to annihilate him
its just funny they just put random mechanical parts and transplants other's ork body
He is large enough to survive a direct shot from a Leman russ
wait what?
So you will need to literally put a lot of effort into shooting him
so
Yeah one time he got shot with a tank
And he just like stumbled back
safe to say he is like space marine captain level?
Wounded but survived it
He is going to tear apart a space marine captain
primarch level any time soon?
or he needs more wars and more combat with named characters?
If he hits the height of the beats
*beast
As of right now he is just a large ork that is smarter than average
fuck
Well very smart actually
Don't worry it's going to come in the future i think
lets say if they found a titan or a really good draughtnaught will that be a power spike for him ?
He has access to gargants
If you mean a new body
Dok could just make him a new one
Grotsnik
Is very good at that
so far my time line for him its urk- 3 wars of armgaddeon- wars with tyrannid cuase of an inquistor- fighting a space wolve and getting resurrected ? what am i missing ?
will the technology and parts be used on his new body?
You don't know don't you
His new body is currently using in the setting is made of other orks
Grotsnik frankensteined a body for him
And if you're confused of what he did
I'm pretty sure
After the second war of Armageddon then he went on a trip
To strengthen himself
he fled
And in the second war i think that's when he got wounded
yeah
Not the second one the third war
After that he was rebuilt
And now you see the form he is using is the modern day one
this?
Yes
i meant can grotnsik incoporate parts of a dreadnaught and a titan too boost him even more
At his current size
On dreadnoughts
You can only really add small components of a titan on him
are you disappointed at the war gear of that he has
its not super special like other named characters
That giant gun he is using is impossible to fire even by an ogryn, that large powerclaw can severe a tank like it's a cheesecake
It's a very generic loadout but it's a special type of weapon
i guess, but i was kinda wishing like some kind of ancient or some op description or origin of the weapons, like the humans,
he is a ork
his weapons has to be homemade and original so i get it
If it aint broke dont fix it
Yeah but like to be honest
It suits him
Not every character needs to use an ancient weapon
From like a bygon era
And remember Mork's roar his gun arm and Gork's Klaw
Are one of a kind by ork standards
valid point
are we gonna see more representation of orks in the settings, like more sub character that has their own models
They are xenos so probably not much
Yeah and they got a lot of attention last time
A new model new books
They even had like a book club
Related event
And amazing rules for the table top
So they're going to be out of the spotlight for a awhile
get it, thank you !
so i assume we will see the orks having more of a presence soon ?
like in major events regarding chaos and imperium ?
Probably as cannon fodder
Gw isn't really consistent with how they move the setting about
damn
LMAO
probably not, the orks kind of exist to get bullied by every other faction, and to be honest, they're kinda there for it. They don't mind getting their shit caved in by the next beakie gitz captuhn, becuz tha's a good scrape mate
it kinda sucks, tbh. The orks could have so much more done with them if GW just wanted too, but they are suffering form a case of "the competent black library authors want to write about important lore events and not about orks in some backwater in segmentum pacificus, so woe, mike brooks be upon ye"
Competent BL authors like money
Slop sells.
Hence Mike Brooks having a job
Its a bit more complicated than that but kinda
There’s exactly one Ork book I’d say is actually well written
I mean yeah this too, i can't think of an ork book that has sold particularly well, unless it was from another faction's POV
And Brooks name isn’t on the cover
Brooks has written one (1) good black library book
I’d argue two I’d actually recommend but Rites of Passage does have issues
I have never read it so I can't speak on it, but I haven't heard particularly fabulous things
GW handing their msot under loved factions to their most mediocre of writers
Still mad he got the Lion book. At least they forced him to just write a basic story
Well what can we do very few authors actually put in the effort of making the orks shine like the only one was Ghaz, and brooks makes orks pretty well
In terms of characteristics in terms of handling situations
Well yeah that's where he falls flat
The lion book is his only like, actually decent brooks novel IMO
Characteristically i will give his orks a good grade on how they handle situations
Ghaz book is the only time I’ve really been impressed by Ork writing
Yeah he got the characteristic down
it's basic and it's a bit dry in the middle but it works
I would put dimmadollars down that he got a bunch of consultation from the heresy team
You know them acting funny them being quite serious stuff like that
On what situations they got in
Well yes that's where he flats
My issue with his Ork books though is more to do with, and this is a reoccurring issue, how he writes everyone else
He does good action scenes but even that falls flat by how lame he makes the enemy a lot of times
Yeah it does kill a lot of the vibe i will admit
At least he's good at making ork characters
Like he's at least good with something they have
The best BL action scenes by far are when the author actually builds up the enemy forces
Personality
And makes them interesting and dangerous seeming
Like his writing isn't the worst
Just a bit generic
Straightforward nothing impressive mid
Good there for dumb fun
This is actually my primary issue with the End and the Death which Abnett is normally much better at, there’s a lot of action scenes where he’s not trying
It's abnett
Writing for him is practically a drug
And he literally edges every time he does it
Sure but he’s normally really good at writing that kind of action
Like contrast Saturnine with the EatD action scenes
I loved the end and the death
But there were some times that he definitely fell off a bit
IDK if it was fatigue or apathy or something else
but there were a few scenes where he just kinda, lost me?
It needed to be edited down
Did you just say you love a horus heresy book?
Throw him to the styx
I would argue most of the actual best novels in BL are heresy books
i'm going to 40k enjoyer hell for this but the siege of terra is one of the best series BL has ever made
and is absolutely the best multi author series ever made by BL
You have to admit though it ran for way too long
Like they could have definitely shortened it
Sure but it doesn’t change that
Like it wouldn't be as bad if they actually shortened it
The fact it works as well as it does is kinda wild
You can also skip most of the actually bad books
Thank god
Kymes stuff largely isn’t necessary
I think the issue with it's run time is there are so many novels that have 0 impact on the rest of the series, and the pacing is all sorts of off
you can tell they originally intended for it to just be 10 books, and it spun way out of hand with how popular the first 3 were
Like
I love the tallarn book
but good lord is it completely meaningless, even by itself
They milked it too much yes
It’s one of those things where it’s hard to fault them with how the series got expanded unexpectedly
They had to pivot a lot and it’s surprising it turned out as well as it did honestly
I think my favorite part about it is you can kinda just follow your legion through the heresy, and get enough of the stroy to know whats happening by the SoT
thats
That’s also a big strength of it
what saves it's hideus run time tbh
You can pretty easily ignore arcs you don’t care about
It has major issues but overall it’s very well done I’d say
Siege isn’t perfect either but it ended very strong
Nick Kyme my most barely tolerated
I actively hate Kyme ngl
That guy got a lot of threats
And was literally threatened to be killed i think
With how garbage he wrote
I mean that’s a bit much
the siege gets better the later in the series you go
Eh close enough
But you can tell with the siege they’re aware of who their best authors are lol
Considering who got to write the final ones and who didn’t get to write any
i know (hope) your not advocating for it, but threatening an author because he wrote fiction for your little toy soldiers bad is awful behavior
Mate there is a difference about hating someone and having no life
I'm not an overwatch fan
If i actively hated an author i'm just going to say they are garbage and not bother with them because i actually have other things to do like look up more Iron Jaw news and art
I’ve never heard of him getting any threats also but I could see him getting hate mail
And he probably deserves it to some extent obviously depending on what kinda hate mail
Yeah seeing the SoT line up was a huge relief lmao
unfortunately
guy haley still got in, and john french got to write two books?
If we're going by most hated
CS Goto for me
He somehow made Gabriel
A very bad thing
And he was one of the few space marines i like d
c.s. goto is either worshiped or hated, and I hate him more for that
Tbh I’ve never really liked Blood Ravens
But yes Goto is bad
I personally dislike Kyme more because how much he’s written and continues to and how much he’s ruined or fucked up major factions he “loves”
honestly I liked them before I read goto's stuff
they were cool in DoW, and then fell off dramtically when goto tried so hard to make them a thousand sons successor
He’s the main reason no good salamander book exists
He made the salamander shit right
Despite them having a shitton of books
They’re so boring
It’s offensively boring
And the worst part is the ideas aren’t even bad
Or uninteresting
He’s just so bad he makes them bad and uninteresting
he just can't execute them with any finesse
Like I have some issues with Guymers Iron Hands books because they’re not always great, but he does always make them interesting or has really cool idea and fluff he adds to them
Background and extra stuff
He also does their fluff and codex stuff
Kyme can’t even make that stuff cool
He has how many salamander characters with literally completely opposing views and somehow I can’t tell them apart still
They all feel like the same character
I heard he's like one of the single reason salamanders aren't that popular
Even though they are quite well known
He definitely doesn’t help
Because getting into their characters and stuff is so f****** boring
Yeah this book series with salamanders look cool let me check it
Dies of boredom
Part of it is also salamanders have been with the one-two curse of "haven't had any rules of their own since 8th ed" and "have been relegated to a 'codex compliant' chapter"
They have so many cool ideas too but I can’t imagine Kyme helps with making their fluff interesting either
so if you are getting into the game, the best you can do with salamanders is play generic space marines with like one special character and firestorm assault
which feels like shit when the blood angels or wolfwolfwolf or black templars player rolles up with an entire book of extra rules
Salamanders live on through TTS memes and people loving them rescuing civillians (who never of course get sent to death camps or get executed the moment they leave a planet)

They exist off of memes of people thinking they’re nice and wholesome
I loved Pariah Nexus' ending for that
people getting mad at guardsmen killing children
like
There are 4-6 actual chapter factions
Me watching the salamanders bomb a planet because apparently me helping aliens in a cooperative effort in order to survive is apparently treason and therefore i deserve to be burned in the most hideous way possible
Salamanders were an extension of Space Marines in 8th
TTS has been wild for the setting and peoples perspective on it
BT in 9th were a supplement
It doesn’t help tbf either their gimmick is hard to make work on the tabletop often
Same as Sallies
Which runs into their problem with the heresy stuff largely
they had a separate book which fleshed them out more, it was just an extension and didn't add much but it gave you a little
they, along side most chapters who aren't blueberries, are barely acknowledged this eddition
There’s plenty of stuff for non UM chapters
Space wolves are the only one which has mostly been neglected so far and that’ll probably change in future editions
as far as rules go, no they're virtually indistinct save for a funny character or two
Yeah sorry I'll take away the Agents' cake and give it to this random chapter
That’s just 10e rules though
They’re not all UM
They’re all marines now
They simplified everything
thats kinda the point i'm making
if your new to the hobby you get hit witht he double whammy fo your books sucking, and your rules being indistinct
which sucks.
40k isn't Horus Heresy, Sallies are a small part of the marines who already hog the spotlight from dozens of other factions
Dark Angels have gotten a ton of stuff recently too
L + xenos
dark angels, blood angels, space wolves, black templars, and deathwacth are the non codex compliant chapters that still get to have things
Also let's not pretend sallies are terribly deviant from standard doctrine
Well
Deathwatch don't exist anymore
As a dex
They're now Agents
They've been Agentminated
ah L
They’re also a normal marine option now
now its our Corvus Blackstar
Black Templars aren't a codex faction, they're a supplement to space marines
oh yeah i could have seen it coming from miles away
Yeah whenever people ask me about DW as an army
But it gives them super powers that being so racist they manifest their faith
i just point them at the store
I'm excited to see how Agents work
and its like 4 pages
There’s more support and updates for other factions than almost any other point in 40k since they first released
yeah? Your point?
so are BA, wolfwolfwolf, and DA
No, they're all their own codex
they're still the only marines who get to have cool shit
no.
they are not.
I am holdingt he BA supplement index in my hand, right now
Oh wait my b they're also supplements
Yeah and it only took like 20 fucking years lmao
Goofy ahh alcohol drinking certified minis
2 models a year instead of one
Ok so why are we bitching about it now?
Though they're all reasonably unique with fancy units
There was a whole fucking kroot release jsut recently
because anytime anybody mentions marines somebody has to get their panties in a bunch over it
"getting"
Genestealers awhile back
💀
That's funny
Considering the amount they get in comparison its fair tbh
Yeah cause it pays for all that
yeah but it's fully irrelevant to the conversation on "why aren't salamanders as loved as you would think they are"
They’re not being made in place of those
Yeah but I dont care about Salamanders and have been actively traumatized by them because they burnt my family
Because people like them more than their actual content deserves if I’m being real
The ranges have literally so many similar units that you wonder at times if the dark age of technology is actually good with their tech
Most people who like them don’t even know most of their proper lore
Which is fine but I mean it’s how it is
Most fans are very surface level
Its a fine complaint point either tbh, I got like 3-4 loyalist marine loving friends who absolutely hate the space marine bloat
"hey the sallies writer (singular) sucks dick and their rules are litteraly nonexistent"
"Ok but what a bout factions that aren't marines?!?"
they would be an interesting chapter in the hands of a competent writer
Yeah honestly they need to trim down the model count

I don’t love it either for a lot of stuff but it also doesn’t affect me either way
Yeah but again, its a fair complaint point still.
what do you meanb we don't need "i swear bro it's not a flamer it's an infernus canon witht he exact same stats as a flamer but it's not a flamer" before jump pack marines
I just don’t buy stuff I don’t care for
AAAAAAAAAAAA
They exist to pay for everything else, and I’m fine with that.
Eternal your point for any argument is always "I dont care so this issue basically doesnt exist"
I was gonna say lol
For the first time in decades we have GW obviously trying to add a large variety of new stuff
Because it doesn’t affect any of us
So yeah
Just don’t buy it
I still can't beleive we got a 3rd flamethrower unit before we got jump packs
i was going to actually murder somone at GW if they didn't come out before the codex
In fairness to marine bloat it exists because it was popular and now the bloat loops back in on itself and makes it more popular via sheer volume so it's existence makes sense
GW is actually updating and adding in new stuff for a wide variety of factions for the first time in decades and people are somehow still finding a way to bitch
Also the jumppack was teased like 2-3 years ago by the SM2 trailer
so even WORSE
IT WAS TEASED IN 8TH EDDITION BY KEIVAN SHRIKE
Shryke had a jump pack before that I think
Damn almost like the bad blood about it built up so much its still hard to get rid of it
Marine bloat always existed because GW likes money
Also the inceptors and suppressors
More like people like to piss and moan
Thats been a thing since forever with warhammer
doesnt change anything lol
those are wierd gravis grav pack things tho, not quite the same
"You got your update so shut up" is not really a fair point in anyway lol
and again i say this as the space marine player 💀

Like 9th and 10th have been catching up with AoS in terms of large faction revamps alongside marine drops(which basically guarantee profit lel)
Thats uhhh arguable but sure
man I need to get into Age of Sigmah
It also makes me think people don’t actually care when there are huge updates and they still endlessly bitch
but i got too many marines to paint...
AoS introduced like 2/3rds of it's factions int 3rd ed
You should
Even in the lore stuff
no, don't
Huffs copium
customisable Inquisitor please...
In the model department i would say up to you if you want to spend money
Why not
I mean, not really
Instead of like, getting say, a shitty supplement rulebook for scions(psychic awakening)
Guard actually got a large chunk of their roster updated, a new tank, new characters
Becuase I am a fantasy player and it is my god given duty to tell people to play ToW instead
Ah that explains it
that makes me want to get AoS more now
thank you
LOL

Age of sigmar models are quite detailed like for example this is one of the simpler ones
Oh boy more pointless Old World vs Age of Sigmar discussion
Indeed
My not biased take on AoS is it's fine as a game system with gorgeous models but the lore leaves me so sad
fantasy died so that way everybody could never have any concequences for their actions
Jsut like what you like smh
Thats rude
It’s not even an argument
It’s just endless cat fighting over nothing
It’s easy to enjoy both
Did fantasy dwarfs always have full on queens(in leadership positions)
Or is that new
If new then hell yeah
I like the lore tbh, its basically about as fucked up as WHF you just get 8 realms instead of 1 planet now
Yeah they did
and people of course complained
because warhammer fans lol
comparing them is dumb, they have less in common than battletech does with titanicus
Yeah but in old world they had a one girl to ten male dwarf baby ratio
So not as prominent
It's very easy lol yeah
Pretty much yeah
Basically, setting wise they’re very different and tabletop wise too
I prefer age of sigmar orruks compared to warhammer orcs but warhammer old world is still pretty good
I don’t care for TOW tabletop much but I like it as a setting a bit more than AoS
You want your low fantasy pill go for it
I blame marketing
If you like higher fantasy with different realms and s*** go with aos
AoS I enjoy the tabletop more generally and I enjoy the setting
Crooked Moonz reprezent
🌙
AoS's tabletop also seems extremely accessible which i like, it made me realise why its popular
the lore saddens me because every faction faces 0 consequences for their actions
they're either so numerous that a total loss means nothing, or they just come back from the dead with concequences™️ (real)
it's got a very similar issue to 40k where nothing ever happens because that would require somone to have concequences, so instead it's just a massive arms race of who can face the least concequences the fastest
Damn higher ups
But I don’t like the high fantasy stuff as much always so I’m gonna lean TOW as a setting
I mean you can literally apply this to WHF too though
every chaos invasion is just "oh its fine we'll rebuild Praag for the 10394th time"
IRON JAWZ ARE DA STRONGEST
WHF the issue was more they couldn’t do anything
Ehhhh
Stares at the Phoenicium exploding and Grand Alliance Death being thrown into basically a civil war
Absolutely no consequences at all
^
They legit hit roadblocks with not being able to advance stuff
Me watching a gargant break through a wall and eat an entire city
AoS very much has consequences, I feel like this is just an extremely surface viewpoint of someone that dislikes the setting admittedly.
Yeah we will just send another crusade to fix it
no, WHFB had a differne't problem of the main character wasn't a genhanced demigod and thus couldn't live for more than liek 40 years convincingly, and sot he story was never allowed to move forwards
So?

Zero consequence on a warhammer setting
it was a far worse curse.
That is standard at this point
I generally think AoS is too big as a setting but I also get why they made it that way
It allows more freedom i like it
They need to get that money baller era
its like a middle point between 40k/WHF
Oh hey is that Morathi ascending to godhood proper and letting bits of slaanesh out? Good thing nothing has consequences
when the story did mvoe forward, everyone got concequences, and the end times is till GW's worst writing
I do enjoy TOW for how it has a proper world and feel to it
I still wont forget the times when everyone in the ye old internet forums were like
"man this gameplay of WHF is dogshit i hope it explodes"
it does
To be honest i completely separate the end times to age of sigmar
Gw wanted to make a new fantasy so they did
A writing event and making something new is a completely different
Thing
It has 40 years of lore behind it, AOS does not, it's not AOS' fault
It was also very much the correct decision at the end of the day
so like its very much whatever
It’s more the way the worlds set up tbh
AoS is massive
End times made me bitter for AoS 1st ed
but it is not AoS' fault
shut up and stop being right

Yeah a correct decision that was executed like it was french noble with a guillotine
I'm probably mixing up my history but i don't give a crap

My issue with End Times was more execution and laziness of it since they had a really cool opportunity there
Manfred
I mean I hardcore disagree on it being whatever, i loved fantasy dearly
but it was the correct decision
I thought his entire stick was being smart
The world is ending and this guy is going to save it
What do i do
stab that bitch
Also I think Total Warhammer and VT proved people do love the actual setting
Correct
Okay but I loved it too, I got like so many fucking fantasy books i got a bookshelf dedicated to it.
I just dont really have as much of a biased opinion since even if it exploded i can still just go and do a session of Bogenhafen on it or whatever else.
gelt went out like a bitch and it pisses me off
Wasn't he enslaved and kinda abused by Nagash at the time lol
They jsut didn’t have a vehicle for it before
I think
Its a mix of things
if those games didnt exist people would definitely not care as much either
If anything the worst parts of the shitshow would be on Nagash
But that’s because they literally wouldn’t know it existed
Exactly my point lol
The skaven absolutely pass him around like a blunt
A huge problem was:
GW fucked the balance so hard to only way out was a total reset.
And they couldn't sell a total reset without a new system.
The games provided a way for casuals to like actually see the setting
People enjoy things that are affordable and not garbage(aka not end days fantasy
)
"I MISS FANTASY SO MUCH"
Guy that played TOW for 2 hours
^
Honestly i've gotten over my biases with aos and i'm glad
Whereas before it had some books few people really read and a outdated tabletop
After realizing how much better they do the orcs there
at the end of 8th ed you had skaven armies that couldn't fit on the board because they were so dirt cheap to play
Its about as annoying as all these braindead morons going GW is ditching AOS for TOW
Like... are you okay mister

I literally said once that they just have to stare the community news
And see the new models and they will realize that it's not going to get railroaded
Theyre probably smoking this
it's the same people who think that 10th ed is a financial failure, or that GW was going to go bankrupt after female custodes ( they posted record profits)
Mine
Less than
It dropped like a % for a day
IM GOING INSAAAAAAAAAAANE
Im so glad Cavill is not superman anymore, the moment i see him i just remember 40k threads sucking his cock 24/7
PTSD
He's just like me! He MUST hate women!
but didn't you hear
he-who-shall-not-be-named said he has an inside source™️ that the show is being cancelled!
or people going "a rogue intern did this"
WHAT FUCKING ROGUE INTERN
IS THIS THE COLD WAR?
I used to like women and then I had to interact with Dilara consistently, she’s swaying me back
Sexism is so back boys
funnily enough
a romor spread by he-who-shall-not-be-named form another inside wouce™️
The warhammer fandom is basically split between
- People that complain about minis
- People that complain about lore
- People that complain after seeing a black space marine or female knight
Just gotta make slide shows of official art and AI art bullshit
You don't even need a good voice just tack on to the haha memelore
Me releases a mini and lore about a female space marine just to see an outrage
If you can animate/draw? Literally free ticket
^
LOL
Rare trait for a 40k tuber
Honestly just make a space marine focused channel and milk shit like Rylanor, ez money
He talked on his Patreon if memory serves
Yeah but those are also the same people that would purposely shoot you in gta just because you exist
and with our powers combined, we have still yet to touch a blade of grass!
Weshammer needs help
and to also like
be correct atleast 10% of the time
He’s like a book accurate Game of Thrones character
From the developers of the best-selling and award-winning franchise Vermintide, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a visceral 4-player co-op action game set in the hive city of Tertium. To celebrate its launch on console with Xbox Game Pass, WesHammer has been challenged to play Darktide over 300 gallon tubs of grungy slime. When they die in the game...

I extremely respect the mustache, but that hair makes me wanna rip off his scalp

The trinity of the slop tends to have very noticeable characteristics
Is it wrong of me to say I'm not surprised that you do
bricky is perfect in every way
Dude what is with all these YouTube commenters looking like fucking Jeffery Dahmer recently
When he's doing something else besides warhammer yeah
I DONT WANNA LISTEN TO ANOTHER PATREON PLUGIN
Bricky is fun if it isn't his podcast lmao
Also he's pretty tall apparently.
Why is that shitty mustache back
Yeah he's enjoyable as long as it isn't warhammer
Like he has some good reviews here and there
And he's actually friendly
And he's not an awful human being
That's why i said friendly you armored sack of potatoes
I like his warhammer stuff, because it's a good entry into the setting
but he doesn't just milk 40k books for content and actually makes decent fucking cointent
Yes he's a good entry point
But you should very quickly move on when you want to learn more
Decent in reference to his 40k content is debatable
even if he actively advertises it
Yeah that is also a problem
his fandom is ass
LOL
Not the least because he literally can't stay on script
Yeah he's non 40k content are good
I'd also rather like... listen to them talk about lore comedy or not, instead of advertising their porn art for 20 minutes
I’d recommend Arbiter Ian as a sleep aid
Luetin is sleep aid
you rude fuck
Of course you do
Like the big faction intro shit
He literally has the script in his hands and can't stay on script
it is meme-lore
but ti's a good entry point
i wouldn't go to bricky for good lore content, liek I'm not a fan of his podcast
but hsi "every faction expol.ained" video is good
I tried but after listening to him for like a year the cycle gets boring
DK is also like, borderline braindead
Which again is weird because his general gaming content is pretty good
"HOHOHO HOLY SHIT"
fair
but also to be fair
i takle all of my yotube content in small doses for a reason
All is as it was meant to be
I use YouTube for music and to listen to law and order as background noise
I like SVU, cause Ice Cube not knowing about every single super well know sick crime is hilarious
Ian is still my top favorite because hes like the only lore youtuber ive seen that will pause a video midway and explian IRL/game background shit around his video content.
I like Munch
Like the Anphelion Project where he reminds the audience the boxset was a big deal because we saw flying nids for the first time
its neat
Yeah Ian adds good context to stuff
Him and pancreas
I like ian because he's very easy understand the very easy to get to
And Pancreas makes entertaining videos and actually tackles age of sigmar
Dilara you can't fool me, I KNOW you're a tourist
A rare thing for 40k tubers
^
It helps that hes like
an actual oldie person that played the game from the Ancient Times
lol
If we're going by bad though i would right now Majorkill
He's definitely right now one of the worst
LOL
He can somehow give me a brain hemorrhage
I loved it when he went after that awful hair dude
for like...
"copying his content"
Yeah the f****** kangaroo humper

Honestly i bare even watched his videos because they were all garbage
Even when the topic is within my interest
I can barely get into how he talks
Me watching a content creator I always hated but didn’t have a good reason to really get into some drama so now I’m justified in my irrational hatred
^
I never actively mald about those people but its always good to see them get some Interwebs Justice™️
For me sleep aid is usually The Ashen Hollow
Real
Based choice
Yeah like i would rather look for more iron jaw art than bother him but it's good to see he gets kick in the nuts a few times a day
I sometimes use luetin but I prefer to actually listen to him and not just sleep through his videos
Yeah Luetin is 50/50
Yeah his videos are just incredibly unnecessarily long though
i like him but he also strikes me as a pretentious asshat sometimes
Detailed as hell don't get me wrong
"I know the Warp is purposefully not explainable but im gonna do it anyway"
then he talks about quantum physics
like... bro stop
Thank god for drama tubers, truly they are scum and I love to listen to scum recap some pointless Mario cart speedrun drama that I knew nothing about prior
I have strong opinions now though
LOL
I don't agree with you most times but you know what yeah
They do good work
One of the rare times i agree with you
honestly it wasnt even dramatubers for me
i just saw someone posting majorkill hate-memes here
and i was like "wut"
Watching moistcritical release another video about a person being a dumbass
Is always instant serotonin
Yes the battle of the mid
Ed got me good that one
Mfw I’m reading about the downfall of a zoomer YouTuber because he dated a 18 year old when he was 19 and apparently this is basically pedophilia
Like

why the fuck cant some youtubers "big criminal reveal"
just be them laundering money or something
THAT I can at least understand

It’s nice when it’s not boring
^
Like, being real
I don’t care if a guy behind the scenes is a mean boss or is kinda a dick
Especially since it’s never even like fun mean boss stuff
It’s always like “ugh he’s so mean to me”
People in the internet after they reach the top of the world with fame and money and all they can have in the world
"he made me fly back from my son's birth so he could steal my hair gel"
I’ve heard mixed things
I’ve had friends who have worked in the industry a lot of these guys tbh it feels like the day matters more
"did he do meth today or just cocaine"
Like I remember one guy was talking about how an actor who was rude and mean on set and I looked them up and his fucking wife had just died
It wasn’t a big name but it’s just that kinda stuff
There’s this obsession with posting about how mean a celebrity was to you on TikTok and stuff it’s weird
Mfer you’re handing them coffee and based off how you’re talking about it I wish they’d have throw it in your face
Normalize 👏 Hating 👏 Baristas 👏
