100% intentional
i wish games like that had a non pvp mode
every fucking extraction looter/shooter is full of nothing but toxic SOBs that will hunt you down the second they spot you
I feel that
pvpve in general is a bad idea
yeah most of it is basically pvp with some flies and mosquitoes thrown in
my first experience with it was the division 2 and the whole pvpve thing was just a pvp playpen rather than anything meaningful
unlike the thrilling idea of the first game with big area allowing less prepared pve players to avoid the sweats and extract far away from the action
From the article:
“The Goblin-Hewer is another interesting returning unit”, says JTY. “It doesn’t come with Malakai Makaisson, because he hasn’t been born yet. But we delved into the lore and discovered that Malakai might not have invented everythinghe says he did…
Next time some say that Malakai invented the Thunderbarge
yeah, pvpve ends up having the worst of both game modes
the pve is little more than an annoyance unless you run into a big threat and the pvp is just a gank/zerg fight
So far I actually like how dungeonborne handles pvppve
Some of the enemies actually feel threatening, and most classes have AOE moved to clear chaff quickly
Anyways, anyone have a video or a way to find all the brawler specialist/elite kill voicelines?
I’m trying to steal his character and port it to another game, so I’m trying to find inspiration
I have all the interaction between characters lines
PVPVE is me doing a destiny flawless raid while half the fireteam is trying to cause physics related deaths to the other half
lol
PVPVE is random queuing Helldiver difficulty in HD2
Yup
I can find them on YouTube but they’re all jumbled together with random lines
PVPVE is just the Dark Zone in Division 1 and 2, where everyone is a darn bullet sponge and I get paranoid extracting with the loot i gathered.
Division dark zone goes straight ass
I don't even know what the plot is anymore, which is on track with Ubisoft and them half-assing their games on launch
I hear people talking about the “deep warp” every now and again, is it anything? Or is it one of those things that’s just vaguely mentioned in a codex once
Isn't it the Warp outside of the Milkyway ?
vaguely mentioned codex thing
The warp isn't the same plane of reality
I know but there is something like thaf
More like parallel to it, outside it, within it, intertwined with it and completely unrelated all at once
Its not
mostly due to the void-space between galaxies being so empty
But isn't that usually called the Deep Warp
the Deep Warp is just a point in the warp thats considered the apocalyptic center of it
it doesnt have anything to do with the galactic-gap between other galaxies
Unlike the regular warp of course

Old World cope ?
About AoS deserving good video games and that even if TWW1 and Vt1 had been released much earlier that FB would have been killed off
these people never even read or seen any aos lore
its quite sad
how are the mortal realms less interesting then just literal europe
What subreddit are you on lol
Also I feel like the issue with AoS games is that they're still kinda feeling the setting out tbh
I like the Old World more personally but part of that is it feels like one proper world and you can track where people are more on it. AoS is designed differently
It’s also very different in theme
It’s more fantastical
Different strokes deal
40k and Fantasy games in general are kinda lightning-in-a-bottle effects
Like you had a heap of total garbage for every dawn of war or vermintide
I like some of the lore of AoS but it doesn’t all do it for me
a good chunk of the older games popularity rn is also just straight up retroactive post TTS and COVID spike
Total Warhammer and VT let people see how cool the setting was
AOS is basically if all myth is true
It’s not complicated
Extremely open for homebrew and new ideas
I would like a tide game or something good set in AoS eventually
AoS lore isn't as readily accessible and is far more tabletop centric than 40k I think?
Huh???
Oh
Sorry I read that wrong
40k has a full on marketable setting right, AoS' setting is still in a sort of fledgling state, even if the tabletop is doing well
It definitely doesn’t have nearly as much stuff
It’s just evenly spread
They’re not
Note I'm not calling it bad
Yea
It's still a fledgling setting though, is what I mean
It does but it’s also old
It’s just not as much to sink your teeth into
And it's only now starting to settle properly
Some of its good
I think i'm trying to say AoS is still being "realized"
It makes interesting additions sometimes
Hang on
But not everyone is gonna buy every new campaign and lore book unfortunately and it matters more to do that for AoS
okay back
so the aos lore is muchmore venly divided across the alliances and factions
The main complaint I’d say tabletop wise is there’s almost way too many big set piece characters. But it’s not a huge deal. I’m looking forward to the Stormcast updates
and unliek 40k the battle tomes get alot of lore updates
each editionis basically a new era
so you have to be looking at lore through a buncgh of different persetives to get the full deal
in dawn bringer bascially everyone got free to access short stories giving new ideas and lore updates
the only issue is that each edition focuses on a realm or two
3rd was mainly ghur
2nd was chamon
1.5 was setting thingssup
but mainly aqshy and ghyran
2nd also introduced alot of factions so their relams got developed
The issue primarily is they’re often properly introducing factions with new lore updates, like the Flesh Eater Courts didn’t have a ton of stuff until recently with Ushoran and more updates.
oh yeah, tbh people though they were on the chopping block for a while and they were only amde of old world models
I’d argue they’re still very lacking
Or the dawnbringer crusades really fleshing out cities
Yeah like it’s nice they’re adding stuff with every update but they’re also like
Actually explaining and properly giving factions lore too
yea
Where before they had extremely little
also aos is a really enw setting
If any really
Hence what I meant by the setting isn't fully realized yet
Yeah
ah i thought you meatn that in a different way
40k has its major factions explained mostly with a lot of characters a long time ago
Votann being the exception but that’s a whole thing
40k and Fantasy both have a LOT of things to build games out of
I'd hope and imagine we will get more AOS games down the line, but the big issue with it so far has been the games for it more or less just being "Okay we need stormcast to fight X"
Just glorified marketing, at least moreso than usual
stormcasts not being as big as space mariens really helped the setting tbh
Like there's some proper potential for a nice RTS or Last Train Home esque game with a Dawnbringer crusade
But that's all still new
so its like, you cant erally make an aos game with out including alot
honeslty the way id make an aos game is jsut go for teh skirmish game route, you control like 5 dudes
(this totally isnt bsaed off of underworlds)
there's something about imperial warp travel only skimming the surface or shallow parts of the warp
im gonna be honest im extremely biased, aos is my favorite setting next to fallout
so my arguments are form the persepctive of a 'i read as much lore as i can'
aos, fallout, and endless
AoS is definitely the more accessible setting from a tabletop point too tbh
Yeee, it does the ‘you will like 3 things and no care about everything else’s
Which is peak design
I wonder if there's ever been a case of Loyalist Gene-Stealers. Would be funny if they were thought to be abhumans
Genestealers cant be loyalists
they are quite literally mentally and genetically brainwashed
None that can get away from the hive mind conducted by the patriarch?
Actually how does long range indoctrination work (with GSC neophytes being shipped to other planets) if they're away from the patriarch?
Basically just a psychic connection spread by nearby high ranking cult members and more genetic-obedience/loyalty.
Once you become a genestealer cultist theres no getting out
its only when the hivemind actively snips control that it could happen but thats always been during planetary invasions' climax, otherwise even a single cult member thats been away from a destroyed world will want to reproduce and spread the genestealer curse
because you are still very much actively under the thrall of the hivemind minor or big
I see so it's only really there to indoctrinate the parents and any person that's outside the GSC "family"
Otherwise it's all genetic
Genetic and psychic yeah
i still dont get the whole archivist guy's sepcies
Who?
?
with centaur like body
Zoats?
in blackstone fortress
are they enslaved by nids
They were engineered by the tyranids to be a slave race before they broke free
the explanation is quite literally "somehow they broke free"

so they're the only actual sentient nids species or something
Its basically like uh
like how does that work
We're never getting a Zoats army huh
if we made like a subspecies of humans
basically to be workers
and they broke free and became their own thing
thats more or less the case, idk how else to really put it
so are gaunts a subspecies
Humonculus
gaunts are tyranids
thats not the same thing
i dont fucking understand
It's Tyranid Homunculi
Gaunts directly fucking come from tyranids
why do nids need a slave species
Zoats are a centauroid, engineered slave race of the Tyranids, whose stocky build better enables them for ground combat[1] and their advanced intellect allow them to act as ambassadors.[4] Despite Zoats being bio-constructs of the Tyranids, should a Zoat somehow escape the influence of the Hive Mind, it may escape or rebel against the Tyranids a...
read the fucking lexi page you goddamn nerd
"Hey, the nids won't eat you if you give them those cool moons instead."
anyway basically the deal is
- Goofy race from 1st edition
- Came back with bad explanation since they basically make no snese
i didnt know nids were that old
- Now they exist
Nids have been around for a long time
GSC were like 2nd edition?
also crazy that they're confirmed to still exist with the archivist guy
They've been around for a while, though not as they are now
Yeah its basically a "wojak point" miniature callback
God I love when you make the aliens long headed humanoids
Gotta be one of my favorite genders
Some got better glow-ups with 10th edition
old 40k looked like the kind of shit i'd buy in a dollar store as a kid
now its shit you'd buy as a kid but expensive-er
second morgage here we go

but anyway yeah thats basically the case with Zoats
they entirely exist so you can point and go "I KNOW WHAT THAT IS"
anything else with their old lore is too goofy to bring up or is just ignored
not a day without talking about jeen settlers
👖
the meme that represents 40k as a whole
also god damn dilara im so fucking jealous that you live somewhere with good food
i will not elaborate
so fucking jealous 😤

Genestealers have protected planets they planned to take over, but that’s less loyal and more not wanting to be killed by orks
If I play in a Warhammer 40k campaign I’d want to be an enslaved kelermorph tbh
The new genestealer techpriest in Necromunda Hive Secundus, hermeticus the 2nd or sumthin, is a good example of this. He was looking to create a cure or vaccine for the genestealer disease. The tech priest instantly became brainwashed when creating a neural link to the patriarch's mind to research the mental aspect of the genestealer virus, after failing for years to have any progress on the biological vaccine/cure.
Hive Secundus an necromunda are goated 40k content
also ya zoats
Bruh he should've had contingency plans in cases that was going to happen
nah he did it in secret after all his underlings told him not to
and didn't tell his Inquisitorial overseers. Did it in secret cuz they would say no
but ya that's why the greatest hive on necromunda got nuked
Oof
Also he’s dead now probably
I think they said he got executed by the Inquisition yeah
The new creature is great
oh hey, i jsut learnd old world sold terribly
like
original release
https://youtube.com/shorts/USwQfiZcYcw?si=Mi46LWMjn52cHYxp
I have no proof of this claim but ive been hearing for years fantasy battles sold terribly
Ever heard of the Space marine problem? Many people complain about it but let's discuss how that happened

I think the patriarch in necromunda's hive secundus reformed him (somehow), hence the name "Hermiatus, the second", but ya the Inquisition hunted him down and assasinated* him somewhere off world somewhere I think.
thats why I said new creature
not exactly sure wtf hermiatus the secondis
but he's cool so

The coolest Biophagus model around
I know nothing except he looks cool af
Warhammerfantasy
first mistake
It's usually fine. Not too many AoS hater over there. Still are some but not the majority
I just saw a lore short on YouTube that said most lasguns could tune the usage of their charge packs to either have less but higher power shots or more but lower power shots
Wonder if we could get a lasgun with that kind of mechanic as the special
Yes all lasgun have that in lore. Even those we have
But I doubt they will have that reflect in game for balance issues
It did frame it as all but I didn't really think it meant all all
That's kinda cool
But yeah true, putting it in game would probably just be a weird helbore
Still am annoyed that Lucius should have been the infantry. And Accattran the Helbore
All of our lasguns ingame should be cosmetic differences primarily
Yeah it's really funny that the kantrael could have like the same output as like the weakest light las gun in the game
Same thing could be said about Autogun too
Yea it's better than the Warhammer Old World Reddit, it gets cope posts weekly claiming that GW is going to dumpster AoS any day now
They seriously say that
After the baller skaven releases and the amazing cinematic may I add?
They were saying it throughout all the Dawnbringer stuff, when all the factions were getting reveals and big new centrepiece models like Ushoran
I've seen some delusional s*** in my life but really
Like they literally can just look at the warhammer community website and see the amazing stuff aos is getting
And then they are saying that it's going to get cooked
All right now that is even more hilarious
Yea it is one thing to dislike lore or design decisions
But quite another of level of delusional thinking to believe GW would collapse overnight
By this point GW is like the Imperium itself: rotting, fading glory but never dying.
Isn't GW literally doing better than ever now? lol
To be fair, financially the numbers are sound, yes
But I speak from the position of, well, them never being able to get the rules done right for 40k
Lots of other smaller competing system out there have much better balanced rule sets and quicker mechanics
Oh, okay
Never played tabletop
Though I'm probably going to get on that plastic crack soon
My personal advice: unless you are willing to sell out a liver and some, do not go in with a committed competitive mindset.
GW took online rules to mean
"Oh we can treat our rules like it is a computer game DLC"
And the point values just...continually fluctuates endlessly.
At first I want to get just into painting and collecting
And I think that now I won't go with any particular army, just some squads of things I think look cool
GW miniatures are definitely great for painting and collecting for personal joy, yes
You can try finding the boxes to other online stores because the actual gw shop
The prices there would make you wish your kidney was capable of regenerating
I'm gonna be buying from a hobby shop near me, it's gonna save me about 10 USD on a box of Primaris Marines alone
They rose to the top tiers during Covid
now its losing that momentum atm
Iron Hands forgetting the entire point of the saying that they spam and devoting their bodies to the wrong interpretation is kind of funny
Lo-Fi Gothic Choirs to pray to the God Emperor to
They’re aware of the origins and Ferrus’s thoughts on augmetics they just don’t care
He’s a figure to revere to them but he had major flaws and he shouldn’t be held as infallible in their eyes
Hey what’s everyone’s thoughts on the spyre hunters?
new or old ?
New
Like the Yeld and Jakara
Dislike the Helmawr one
They’re cool
Pretty cool and better than the goofy ass older models
I’m not sure what I think of their aesthetic
Want to see the Matriarch/Patriarch so much
They are suppose to be alien/foreign tech
I tend to like most Necromunda stuff
I think they would look better in a bright color
Main scheme really doesn't put good enpheasis on the models
The really bright one
Yeha I can’t read it at all tbh lmao
The model
This one I think even with good paint scheme doesn't look good
Why did they even do that to Haera
I like the comedically evil rich scifi setting vibe
Because shes a ambitious bitch
Like Lex crop
LOL
Lex Corp is a great comparison actually
WAIT ITS LITERALLY LUTHOR'S SUIT COLOR TOO
YWA
But her old Mini was so great
We live in a sub-setting where plot actually progresses unlike 40k-slop
Oh fuckin
you will take it or leave it
Dammit

Lmaoo NOOO
Now it is extra funny
Do you think we will see Matriarch/Patriarch return ?
Oh yeah unless they literally kill every genestealer on the planet
Absolutely
You think they still got cows in 40k
Don't they literally have a line of successors for that kind of stuff
Yes
probably not as prevalent
As grox beef has been the main stay
Think an orc and a cow could get along
Meant the Spyrer armour
I thought you were talking about the gene stealers
As their leaders are also called that if i remember
‘What old minis- DEAR LORD WHAT IS THAT’
In Deeds Endure in this passage between a Salamander and Iron Hand it looks more like they just forgor'd the end and meaning of the saying entirely and that their view was warped by that
Is it that they don't care even if they're corrected or made it out of their own initiative?
I’m aware of the passage
They were very aware of Ferrus’s dislike for augmetics, they just didn’t care because it made them more effective
I love that model, I just wish there was an actual way you can run it lmao
Hawkman looking mf
Besides outcasts
Ferrus himself allowed them because during the GC era it did make them stronger and more effective, he was planning on purging the reliance on it after the GC was over
Which obviously didn’t happen
Think it even said he was going go try and get rid of his own iron hands to help prov the point or something aswell
He planned on stripping the Necrodermis from his arms yes
Even if it would weaken him, after it wasn’t needed
So i think i remember that someone still has his skull does anyone still have his hands or
The Iron Hands believe because he failed and because there’s only war in the future that his judgement was an error
They have it on Medusa
Wait his arm was made of necrodermis?
Yes
And he's the only human well demigod human thingy that had the ability to basically use it on his skin
It was also bound to his body and was within him beyond his arms to some degree
We bring back rogal dorn and give him one of manus hands and 2 for 1 rerun
It caused him extreme chronic pain and it’s implied he was maybe dying from it too but we don’t know
It’s why his eyes are silver
That whole thing isn’t clear, we don’t properly know why it bound to him like that
It seems his primacy physiology is what allowed it to happen and for him to survive
Of course we f****** don't
He never ever actually clarified the story of how he got them
We have this interesting things as usual that we have no answers to
And he allowed conflicting accounts
Didnt he kill some necron type creature with his hands and thats what caused it
He liked their to be a legend to it and for it to he unclear
Now i believe leman russ that he is more boring than the fist primarch
He killed Asirnoth but it’s not clear if it was what gave him the arms or something else
The legend is he drowned it in magma and it melted onto his arms
But he implies to a remembrancer that’s not how it happened really
Inb4 some necron lord just went damn you know what would be rlly funny
Medusa has some wild stuff with Necron constructs and DAoT tech horrors running about
And Ferrus was able to interface with Necron tombs on Medusa too
He definitely wasn’t a big talker
Well he is the tech savvy of the primarchs and apparently being smart with technology makes you boring so that's that
He was more interested in actions over words and just doing his job
Maybe he accidentally quarter way stumbled into some sort of bio transference machine and thats what caused the whole metal deal
He kept some interesting journals but he never let anyone see them until after he died
So in some funny coincidence he is closer to a pariah
This is a little write up on the area with most of the worst stuff for Medusa
Also this is a fun passage
GW providing lore on boring shit but nothing on interesting stuff
Lmao taking that one
Same

what in god's name is that abomination
Age of Sickbars
Age of Slugbars
what the fuck is a kilometer
its a meter with a kilo
1000 meters
2187.2266 Cubit for you Americans out there
Re: Ferrus Manus
Late, but I thought he got his Necrodermis hands
From killing a C'tan on Medusa?
(Or at least, an implied C'tan)
He 1v1'd a ctan?
No
It was likely a uh
One sec let me find it
It’s mentioned in the Infinite and the Divine
Basically an giant machine they’d drop on worlds to conquer them
It’s description reads like a bigger version of this
I loved the look of the model on these
Ah thanks
It’s described as a giant worm shape which digs through the ground and stuff, his pod landing disturbed and awoke it and he had this innate feeling that he had fucked up and needed to right the wrong and stop it
So he chased after it for awhile right out of the pod
And eventually slayed it
It seems something with how he did that gave him the arms but it’s not clear exactly what happened to cause that
Then he just wandered Medusa and slayed monsters and shit, helped the tribes a bit
Learned stuff
He had a cool model that still holds up
If i had him though i would definitely repose him or get his limited edition stand that pairs him with fulgrim
they do know the rest of the saying in M41, it's briefly talked about in jonathan green's Iron Hands (its a relatively old book from 2004 or something though)
Nobody even remembers 2004 so its fine
or at least some iron fathers remember what it was about anyway
that is true...
yeah it was fun

Unhinged moment: Suggesting Soul Drinkers for people wanting to get into 40k for the first time
Its a fun series but not beginner friendly at all lol
I love the weird art on this
Its made by that one fucking uh
photoshop artist dude
Sullivan something, his art is crazy
It goes between "So bad its good" to "epic"
Some of his proportion choices remind me of this old art of abaddon https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1162821226104881202/1173818599585095727/image0.jpg?ex=669e7302&is=669d2182&hm=0ae012632156071fbfa73d43bd5a4ad23828c7a1c9b5dedf34b87b90eb626112&

best space marine series
because they all die
second pic is awesome but this is dogshit
looking at this is probably what it's like to get brain blasted
LOL
she's wearing a covenant phantom dropship as a hat vibes
OH MY GOD YOU'RE RIGHT THATS LITERALLY A SPECTRE
halo confirmed in 40k
actually why the fuck isn't there a tabletop halo yet
oh wait because microsoft sucks
Not really any demand for it
Halo is a videogame franchise first and foremost
not gaybletop
Gaylo: Combat Slaaaayy Queen
Nah
I mean you could just play Halo Wars 1 I suppose, Captain Cutter puts out ODSTs like they're god damn conscripts
Mega blocks
so was deep rock
that's mean
there is though
sorry misread
wait
no I didn't
yeah there is one
well there will be one
I'll definitely pick up a couple models just to paint them
There is
btw the new ad-ric podcast of fantasy has launched, they have confirmed the plan is to start with fantasy then move into end times then age of sigmar
Considering that I think they're gonna do it like Detective Ridiculous, which was iirc once a month it's gonna take them ages to reach AoS
yeah
is it just me or do the minis look like they're made from a single piece
they're by mantic games so they probably are
afaik they're usually like 1-3 pieces
actually
no
they're on sprues I think
looks cheap
depends on the kit
100£ for an entire set
the set has like 6 models
Thats the recon edition
This is what you get for the hundo
I’m worried if it’s PVC
Its like 20 models for a 100£
i'm literally about to start being in charge of purchasing molds for something i created in my company so soon i'll be able to tell how economical this shit is
what a career turn i have taken
How did it happen
I could have never guess from you
i created a model from scratch with help from my boss and after printing a couple of them every department of my company wants some, including sales who want it to be an actual product of the company. since i work in such a small company i'm left entirely in charge of the transfer to injection molded (i have 0 experience)
Flashpoint feels like it’s meant to compete with those games more to me
What are they if i might ask
Atm I'm doing HVAC studies for a client, as well as cabling an electrical panel
we make small electronic parts for satellites and such. i made a sort of container that can hold them easily so the production side has a much easier time moving around batches of them
took me months to make the model lol
I see
i have a passion for this sort of stuff so hopefully it opens a lot of doors for me to be in charge of all of this
certainly helps to have a really cool boss who pushes us to innovate and develop our ideas
Thats honestly sick
So Jay work in the Satelites industry
Dilara is an Architect
I'm in Energy and automation
What about you 2 @fallen plaza and @arctic talon
Im currently in college studying chinese
Not particularly interesting but its what i do
bing chilling
Like Chinese language ? Traductor or something like that ?
I do also 3d model in my spare time but i have lost motivation for it
Language yeah
Its not so bad when you get the gist of it
Computer science, I’m not graduated yet.
I got an internship my freshman’s and sophomore year at least but
industry is literally on fire lul
about time you computer fuckers got taken down a peg
I’m going to turn your computer into a bomb
looks better than anything i can make in blender
scythe mentioned
looks to be on brand, hes doing some badass shit with it
scythes, the most anime ass weapon you could ever include in your fantasy game
so the scola where psykers are trained and graded, is it just on Terra or is there other ones on various worlds?
Multiple different ones throughout the Galaxy
Made it in 3d builder
Isn't it supposed to be only on Terra. But books have had places other than Terra do it ?
Like conflicting lore or something
honestly I'd just consider it as being everywhere at this point
most modern and even older lore depicts Psykers being trained not on terra
I might be underestimating 40k transportation but to me it feels like having every psyker sanctioned on Terra sounds like a logistics nightmare or impossible anyway
Yeah no it’s absolutely a nightmare
I thought you meant the book and I got excited for a second
And also incredibly dangerous for Terra's existence considering the testing
So like when the black ships get to terra what exactly is it theyre doing to the pyskers to siphon them to the emperor industrial grade pyskic food processor or
They get tested first. Then they get separated into groups for sacrifice, astropaths or as battle psykers
Yea i mean like hows the sacrifice go down tho they just kill them straight up or juice em or
I remember seeing a quote from one of the books they are connected psychically with the other psykers during the ritual unless it was just that one's experience, which it is kind of a whole ritual to my knowledge
Definitely not an industrial meat grinder though
So they just tube them all together some funny words get said andthen they just get the soul sucked out of them or something
Dunno, sounds sorta accurate though
It is also definitely not a peaceful passing for the psykers either
They get kept in a pretty nice place until they're called up for sacrifice
in which that case its time for an incredibly painful death

Considering the AdMech handles the throne's technology it can be assumed they are hooked up in some way
I tried looking for an in-depth answer and all I found was that AdMech oversee the throne's condition so
Yeah probably brutally efficient and with psychic-binding technology somehow(?)
It takes a long time for them to die
The 1000 per day isn’t everyday really it’s an average burnout rate
How long they last varies, and there’s a lot more than 1000 hooked up at once
They do hype them up as giving their lives and souls for the ultimate purpose they can so I guess at least some probably die feeling like they’re sacrificing themselves for a good reason
But it’s an insanely painful and awful way to die still
And they’re not wrong at least that their deaths are for an extremely important cause so there’s that at least
Funny thought. I know the custodians play games to see how far they can breach Terra's defenses. Has there ever been an incident where they used their authority to get an assassin from one of the branches to play with them?
I can’t recall an example like that but it’s not unlikely
Assassins would be an obvious threat to the palace potentially
I assume this is also secondly that the sense of purpose helps them to last longer and bear more of the emperor's burden
It probably doesn’t hurt, the process really fucking sucks so anything they can cling onto is something
are you working on mandarin specifically, and the simplified version or the whole history of chinese language which will take decades if not life times to understand as a foreigner?
Just the language, mandarin specifically
the simplified version of it?
sorry to interrupt, does anyone know are there updates on potential solutions for the golden throne to be failing ?
The most commonly used one, yes.
So odd question, but do the Grey Knights have Primaris in their ranks yet?
No reason not to, there models though? probably wont get one for a long time
how you liking it? any rice bunny yet?
Its going along okay, its only my first year
sounds good , what made you interested in taking mandarin?
I had interest in becoming a translator as there is demand here since chinese people have moved here to start up factories in remotes areas
an logical and pragmatic approach, seems good
Supposedly it is
Oh its nothing, im just hoping it doesn’t change by the time i graduate
worst case scenario, you always can work in China
assuming if the shit doesnt hit the fan
yup, thats the good thing
quick segway, do you know whether or not there was any update to repairing the golden throne ?
That lore hasnt been followed up in years
jeez
As far as i can tell its retconned
i googled ,seems like GW gave it more time in lore , but its still gonna fail
and like many others who participated in this discussion, there is no way it will happen or even it did , it wont completely destroyed the current landscape
money talks
The latest lore is where that came from
We don’t know
do you think its a hint of potential repairment?
It’s not clear if it’s gonna fail or if it’ll keep going
Spoiler: It’s not gonna fail
Because that would end the setting largely
That is new? I thought it he was referring to the dark eldar alliance one
That is new enough lore
The time period is super new when it happens
Like a few years removed from the current timeline
If that
yeah i saw that they recton the timeline in the triology
do people find the big E's decision making towards the primarchs to be incredibly stupid during the crusade? for a guy who is supposed to be the peak of humanity , he fails greatly
i get, the chaos corruption will hit no matter waht, so the lore is traced backward but still
this is just my opinion, if its ignorant or offensive i apologize
Nah
but i theorizes that Big E should have disposed konrad and Angron, as they were more disruptive, seems to be an loose end
It is a relatively popular opinion
they were more risky than beneifical if that
I think the Angron thing is a bit goofy writing wise and doesn’t make much sense
The others idk
Big E after cucking morty of his revenge, should use his daddy issue against him , made he become a forever lapdog satisfying emperor and have enough low self-esteem to not rebel
Also
a tool and weapon could be used against you, so its important to have an immediate failsafe towards them , the emperor should have something of a kill switch towards the primarchs to nip any rebellion in the but
maybe they just want a traitor primarch for khorne?
People say it will be hard to adapt the heresy into a film i’d argue against that because it is so easy to cut out all the pointless guff

yeah
What?
That doesn’t have to do with the writing being silly for why he does what he does
oh i was suggesting that maybe the GW just wnats a traitor primarch for khorne, they dont care too much about the plausiablity of the lore regarding it
You can easily just write it as he tries to help Angron but Angron rejects him anyways because he’s a tyrant
Yeah the whole teleport thing was goofy
I never really liked the whole evil emperor thing
It’s not consistent with how he tries to reach other primarchs either
i think its a valid point, an emperor shouldnt be benvolent entirety, that will be unnatural. plus more talking points mean more attraction, i theorize
I don’t care if he’s evil, I more care about consistency and how he cares more about getting his primarchs on his side than a meh world
He spends a lot of effort winning over basically every single other one he can
There’s no reason he couldn’t wipe out the high riders
Even just their army
What are they gonna do?
i do want to know
whats the lore intentionally made that way for some reason or if its just poorly written
Both
Idk but it’s jsut bad writing imo
And ADB and whoever else was in charge should have known better
also
i am bit bummed out the fact that angron falls to khorne
shouldnt he be a healer?
whole thing screams failure to me
but maybe thats why its grimdark?
idk
i am also kinda bummed by the fact that Emperor didnt not foresee magnus fucking things up, since he is so determental for the emperor's plan. shouldnt him pay more attention to Magnus to make sure his plan goes the way it should and prevent what happened ?
No because then the plot can’t happen.
Also he was busy
And he unfortunately thought Magnus would maybe not be a fuck up for five minutes
does perty being tzeentchs primarch seems more fitting than magnus ?
good point
funny how the chaos gods seemed to have exhausted everything to do almost instantly
literally have nothing better else to do than fuck with reality
i think Nurgle is the least ‘active’ in that he really just pops in and checks shit out when his people start doing some super stinky stuff and then gives a thumbs up and goes back
Whole galaxy going tooth and nail to survive these assholes and their effort is barely even passive
tzeetch about do absolutely nothing (all according to plan)
that’s what kinda benches him in my mind like I can’t take it seriously since he’s just like that annoying cousin you have always smirking to themselves thinking they’re ‘winning’ at something
that one time the girl and her dog got past his maze tho they actually did have to put their hands on their hips and suck their teeth
“fucking kidding me, you didn’t get a name? license plate? did you even see which way she went?”
the door : 🗿
starts walking back home
thinking about the fact that russo alone has killed 500,000 people (not canon surely) and it’s implied we’re all really fucking things up down there, shouldn’t this send up a big signal light to khorne’s realm
will russ be more fitting as khorn's primarch than the lion ?
i think it is because i feel like russ is more berserkish
Russ should be Odin like with Tzeentch.
Khorne getting the Raven guard
is raven guard's speciality is stealth ?
that kinda defeats the purpose of martial might no ?
Khorne care not for martial might.
Only of bloodshed
“One must take the healthy amount of required naps in order to properly shed blood!”
Khorne likes boys
edp , kevin spacey sponsors this message
who is the strongest sm of all time
in terms of dueling
Whoever is the protagonist is the true answer
It's not really a guess it's pretty much his entire character lol
Trying to seriously powerscale 40k is a ridiculous endeavor that will devolve into misinterpreting metaphors and basic writing prose
He'd have him for dinner
damn
what was the signficance of the black sword?
like its so powerful its forbidden?
oh
abbadon's sword
does it does any special for him
o its just accessory to make abbadon seems useful
It's very killy
What with it being the chosen form of Drachnyen, the First Murder
A scary powerful non aligned Daemon
i seem people
speculated him to be a minor chaos god entity
or thats too much
also
shouldnt emperor's champion comes from the lion's legion?
due to him being the best duelist?
It's debatable if Lion is the best
He's up there, but the definition of what a minor chaos god is is vague and up in the air
The Imp Fists were pretty much the primary loyalists on Terra and Rogal Dorn/Sigismund were always pretty favoured
i kinda see
rogal being the not the most gifted child but the most kiss-ass/ try hard one
He's pretty good at what he does
They're kinda all crazy gifted since you know, they're lab grown super human monsters
but in terms of innate/op powers
i will say compare them to each other
are custodes candidate chosen from birth?
Custodes?
yes
damn
even they did, wont be anything crazy
ithink
is the technical prowess like this
dark age of humanity > golden age > imperium now
ye
Golden age and dark age are used interchangeably
It's like
Dark age > age of strife > crusade era > 40k
umm
maybe
Brutal war rrrrah
Better than whatever they have now but probably still not comparable
unstricted technology advancement with wars with no restriction from imperial cult and xenophobia and communicate with other colony and constant war which is the perfect enviornment for advancement and improvement?
and just how much time they had
thats my theory
We dont really know
Like, religion and treaties predates the imperial truth and cult, so thats unlikely what happened
but not to the point of it actively restricts and main goals was to worship and persrve?
idk
will we ever see returns of titans?
does 40k have an equvalent of the death stars?
There still in the current setting
got it
how was the chinese class, whats the demographic ?
i am always curious about this haha
Ork war moons and Necron world engines
Currently im not having it, still summer
fucking sick
i would love to be a ork if there is an afterlife
AoS afterlives are pretty cool
True
how was it, whats the demographic, sorry if thats bit invasive
the party in druhkhri cities must be wild
i hate to be a human in 40k settings
that brings me to my next qeustion
when ork die, they dont go to the warp right?
i havent seen any talks of that
do they even have souls?
Oh its no problem, but i dont really wanna elaborate on it much mainly because it is a long story and i dont wanna go on it
okok
yeah my bad
is anybody here a ufc fan , i dont know if general chat is allow here
You can chat with it in general
Got it
Looks fine to me
He just looks wrong
Like someone's put a Cities of Sigmar human head on one of the old Stormcast bodies
Is that Cotez?
I just wish the eagle was better integrated to his look
It's also too smooth
Like his old armour was angular and blocky, with studs, the new ones all smoove
Chad Warrior Priest vs Virgin SM
^
Where's his armour niples?
Its like they actively tried to make him as generic as possible
His precious lorica musculata
This has been leaked for months
Im aware dingus
Always good to have the final confirmation
and not everyone follows leaks

I don’t even follow leaks and mfers wouldn’t shut up about this coming soon
It’s about what I’d hoped, we’ll have to see the rules but it’s a pretty good concept
Im just here for lore and art so
The lore is there’s this organization called the Inquisition
And it’s typically split into three major factions
Called Ordos
Make sure you’re taking notes
Actually to my surprise the 4th Detachment is a very generic Imperial Navis, instead of Rogue Trdaer specific.
But I am not complaining thus far yet. Need more meat on the bones to know what I think of it.
But FINALLY I can have an Inquisitor and a Rogue Trader together without having to build a full 2k army.
This is why I hate Iron Hands fans 😔
Yeah its pretty much what we assumed/guessed so thats neat
soup faction done right
I didn’t assume
I knew
But yeah it looks cool, hopefully the rules are actually worth a damn
Also possibly seems like you’ll be able to take Corvus Blackstars for chapters now?
Well, you will need to soup them into Chapters using the Assigned Agents rules
But that looks like the case.
Wait if what the article says is correct…
Please, Games workshop, for the love of the Golden Throne.
Update the Corvus Blackstar so any Agents unit (not just Deathwatch) can ride in it
We’ll see
Depends if you can mix and match factions
Like Sisters with Deathwatch or whatever
Inb4 Corvus Blackstar: This unit may only hold units with the “Astartes” keyword
Fair enough…and it does look like depending on final layout, if I want a force themed around an Inquisitor-Rogue Trader joint task force, I might actually be better off using the Imperialis Fleet.
Given how they specifically say that detachment buffs everything
Under the Codex Agents roster
@storm jungle the only question left is - will the new KT Scions get rolled into this Codex (they are not mentioned for obvious reasons if they are, but there is still room for doubt right now)
I’d be surprised if they don’t have inquisition scions rules
They did tease that you can paint them in Inquisition red/black for a previous kill-team thing at some point
officially though dont think so
It’s a soup faction so ideally the point is they let you use a broad selection
Yeah but i also dont see any scions in all 3 Ordo pictures, maybe they'll include em in the codex we'll see
still a shame Inquisitorial Stormtroopers seem to be still in the grave
sleep well sweet princes...

You’re gonna get news about me Team killing that’s for sure
I think that was one of if not the last firstborn model released before the big primaris update
Deathwatch has had primaris for a long long time
They just never had many actual specific models
Well I meant model wise 😛
So did I
goddamn these models are so old that they dont even use lasguns that look like the cadian shitters
Thats because they are custom hotshots
you uncultured FUCK
where's the backpack
These dont need any
They are pretty bulky so the power-source for it is probably on the gun itself
though there is art where they do also have power-cables
guess it's one of those space marine melta gun situations where the magazine and backpack are both options
Well with SM1-2 the melta is just simply wrong
with this its just artistic presentation mixed with ancient modelling
no i mean the models

The SM2 melta is correct
the gravis guys with melta guns

they can all have backpack or magazine except the multi melta which is forced backpack
It fires a big ole beam
i can't even decide between the backpack or magazine, they both look cool
Im pretty sure its still a shotgun burst
you even can put a dropped magazine that's emitting smoke
Also multimelta has always been a much larger blast
It’s why it has blast rules often
Yeah but... they werent using mutli-meltas
it was just a melta
which are always described as having a beam
I would agree execpt for the flamer
In the trailer he uses multimelta at one point
wdym
Dinky ass gas can magazine
yeah idk why they dont use backpacks
why are multi las mainly a 30k thing
They’re not
i dont see them in 40k
on tabletop?
Multi las is more of a milltia thing in 30k
if only autocannons were more common
can't even mount one on a leman russ
They Jay
There’s vehicles outside the guard even
name one non guard vehicle
Look at primaris stubbers lmao
Talking of tanks.
Is that actually a new Chimera sprue?
Predator. Land Raider. lol.
Your mom
smh GW not banning predators from its games
I’m going to resist the joke
autocannons are supposedly lower tech than heavy bolters right
i wonder what a fully lower tech regiment would be like
Heavy bolters are generally better for most non armored targets
Autocannons are for light and medium armored generally
